Ok! While back I had someone ask if I had a backstory idea for The Princess of Gentlehaven from the Disney game “Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey”

I had done a backstory for the villain of the game, Princess Zara, and I finally figured out what I’d do for the heroine in the DisneyVerse.

I decided that she’s actually the Enchantress Celadon from Beauty and the Beast, who raised Zara, but after Zara turned to evil she cursed her guardian, stealing her memory and locking away her power and her magical castle. Leaving Celadon as an amnesiac young girl, who along her path of rediscovery also relearns how to open her heart and offer forgiveness, finally overcoming her own hard past.

Princess Zara Backstory

So a while back someone asked if I had a backstory for Princess Zara from the videogame Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey

I didn't at the time but thinking it over since I think I've found a good fit within my DisneyVerse 

I knew I wanted to do a take on Zelena from OUAT since I already had her parents and sister, but since Theodora from Oz the Great and Powerful is the DisneyVerse version of the Wicked Witch of the West she couldn't be that, but I think Zara fits nicely. Greek color scheme, Z name, motivated by jealousy, ect.

So in my DisneyVerse Zara is the second child of Corinne and Henri, unexpected and unplanned as they meant to have no further children who could be in danger from a vengeful Rumplestiltskin, per the terms of their last  bargain 

Desperate to keep her safe, they end up meeting the Enchantress through her friendship with Hélène, and she agrees to take the child under her care to hide her from Rumplestiltskin, knowing it might be her only chance 

Zara is brought up ignorant of her past under the Enchantress's  rather cold care--she never was very good with children-- and is a lonely, often angry, little girl, who dreams of another life, one where she feels important and wanted, often lashing out against her distant guardian in order to gain her attention 

When she exhibits a talent for magic, she hopes this will bring the Enchantress to pay more attention to her, or at least bring her esteem in the eyes of others

But though the  Enchantress trains her somewhat, she is still critical of how Zara's temper gets away from her ('refusing to learn those Princess Virtues') 

Eventually, fed up with her life, Zara uses her magic to run away from the Enchantress's magically hidden home--which unfortunately leads her right into the clutches of Rumplestiltskin 

The imp tells her a twisted version of her origin, making her believe her mother abandoned her in favor of her sister Princess Regine

Heartbroken and bitter over what she sees as her stolen life, Zara begins to learn dark magic from the imp, and soon begins her vendetta of ensuring that if she can't be a princess, no one can…

❥ Day 11 - Favourite photo(s) of Catherine with the British royal family Catherine's relationship with the Windsor family is quite possibly one of my favorite things ever. She's the daughter Charles always wanted, is Camilla and Sophie's best friend, Anne and Tim adore her, and she's the ride-or-die for William's siblings Zara and Mike and their families. Edward is like the dorky uncle who’s almost a best friend. Even though we don't get to see her interact with the younger Edinburghs as much, the short time we do see them together only proves that she's like an older sister to them. And even I, with my complicated relationship with the Yorks, can admit that, despite what everyone would have us believe, the girl squad of Bea, Cat, and Genie proves everyone wrong with their friendship.

In 2011, the press published reports that Queen Elizabeth wasn't keen on William's bride, the former Kate Middleton. Zara sacrificed her own wedding spotlight to set the record straight:

"My grandmother liked Kate as soon as they met. They both adore her."

"I know my grandmother and grandfather are very fond of her," Zara told The Sunday People. "They thought she was just right for William. I'm very proud of my family and the British public. It was an amazing day and everyone really got behind them. It was great to see, I just hope it carries on. We all think Kate's perfect for William. Kate is lovely and I'm sure she'll handle everything just fine. William and Harry will always be there to help so she has nothing to worry about."
