if princess stan wished to be able to understand what the dragon is saying, what would happen? how’d the rule of three come into play here?

i assume bill doesn’t have the power to turn stan into a dragon too but that’d be a funny scenario (and him going wait shit i needed his blood)

if stan Could suddenly understand dragon ford’s words, how would the story go from there?

If Stan wished to understand Ford, then (depending on how rested and charged Bill was) it last some increment of 3 time wise, such as 3 seconds, minutes, hours, OR if Bill was particularly annoyed/petty or being himself, Stan would understand 3 words and then nothing else. Or every third word if he was being even more particularly annoying.

The best Bill could do turning Stan into a dragon would be 3 seconds baby dragon, then boneless heap for the rest of the day. It's a lot harder to do transformations, and he wouldn't want to risk getting his blood key stuck and useless. Which actually sounds like something he'd do without thinking. Saves up for a week and they get 3 hour baby dragon Stan and Bill passed out useless on the floor, sweating as he doesn't know how long it'll last.

If Stan could understand Ford!

It'd be almost exactly the same lol. The only difference would be Stan no longer planning on looking for Ford, and being more annoyed with Ford for kidnapping him and holding him prisoner. Because even if this is his brother, it's still kidnapping! He has the right to leave the building! Might even try harder to get out, just because of how petty and annoyed he is with his lizard brained bro. He'd spend way more time complaining to Ford about Ford and his clingyness. He almost died! And was terrified out of his mind!

He'd be more willing to help, but complain even more about it.

I'm very torn on a scene coming up, because I'd like to keep the general somewhat light hearted tone (ignoring the rib crushing and near frozenness), but why have a fire breathing dragon if you're not gonna use it?

Either way, people are dying, it's just if it's gonna happen pg (getting thrown and expoding, no one says their OK style) or right in front of Stan style.
