I just had possibly greatest/strangest fic idea

so character A is a math nerd and character B is in their math class and they like each other, the usual. Character A decides to show their love by literal equations to solve to confess. So every day they give character B a literal equation to solve and in the end they spell out "i like you"

I feel like the Pandava sisters love Rudy. Like, he's their friend, he makes Mini happy. They do love him.

But they do NOT like him. On a certain level they can't stand his guts. Like, he has a strange ability to annoy them all at once. Aru can respect him as a pranking partner, but that's as far as it goes. Brynne's fight or fight response is triggered when he opens his mouth. Nikita's filled with a homicidal rage whenever she sees his outfits. Sheela just vibes with him. She finds it fun to play psychological games with him. An average conversation between the two goes somewhat like:

S: Hey, Rudy, have this perfectly normal drink that I haven't tampered with at all.

R, suspicious: Did.... you put something in this?

S: No, like I said, I haven't put laxatives in it at all. I just took it out of the fridge, poured it in the glass and I'm giving it to you.

R: ...no thanks.

He's paranoid. The drink is just a soda that, like Sheela had said, had not been tampered with at all.

Later:

M: Sheela why were you trying to poison my boyfriend???

S, to R: I WAS NOT YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE TO MY FUTURE BROTHER IN LAW

M: ....Uh. [red in the face] just. Don't put laxatives in his soda.

I feel their relationship would be similar to what Orion and Celia have.

Ok we have a few which I've already posted separately but oh well

• after NoI, they would sleep with their phones ready to call each other in case they had a nightmare to comfort one another

• Aiden secretly likes lotr but would never admit it to Aru

• Aiden was going to confess earlier!!!! But he got the prophecy and couldn't, so both of them were feeling awful

• If one of them was ill, they would look after them. No matter what. Even if there was like, a billion dollars outside, they would stay in and look after eachother

• Aru's a Sabrina Carpenter fan and a Cone head, Aiden's a Livvie and a swiftie

• Aru gets Aiden flowers on valentine's day, and he gets her Swedish fish

• They have a bunch of "competitions" with each other (who can eat the most sweets/candy, who can run faster, ect)

• sometimes they'll go over to each others house trauma-dump, but it's nothing to do with the adventures they've had, but more familial issues.

• Aiden calls Brynne and Rudy in the middle of the night to talk about how awesome their gfs are. Aru and Mini and Hira do the same

• I'm not sure whether they'd go to the same college, but if they couldn't, they would do long distance for sure

• After a couple of years together, they would just say "I love you" randomly without any prompt

• Aiden was most definitely crushing on Aru between SoD and ToW

• their just so pookie I cantttttttt

I hc Rudy as the youngest sibling (or one of the youngest) in his family. He just gives Annoying Younger Sibling™ energy. And it would explain why his parents sent him to live with Malini and Aiden, because they don't need him around to be the heir to the throne.

Aru Shah, as a series, is beautifully crafted

Apart from being one of the rare books where you actually get the "villain's" perspective, it has great humor, characters who actually have realistic flaws, and another great genre with barely any representation: Indian mythology.

The first initials of the names of the Pandava sisters is the same as their adjacent Pandava brothers. Aru- Arjun, Yamini- Yudhishthira, Brynne- Bhima, Nikita- Nakul and Sheela- Sahadeva. Details, which, Roshani took care of amazingly.

Coming to the last book. NoI. The scene with the Uber driver, Krishna, was a direct parallel to a very famous scene from Mahabharata, where Arjuna stands on a chariot looking at the opposite army, which consists mainly of his family, and feeling apprehensive about fighting them. Then Krishna, who is his chariot driver, steps in and explains to him his dharma.

The conversation that took place between them is recorded in the Bhagvad Gita, the sacred book of Hindus.

This series is an exemplary attempt at inducing diversity in the whitewashed world of fiction books and I hope it continues to make a difference in lives like it did to mine.
