“My lady,” Enzo smiles at me, arm outstretched to take my hand, the other poised behind him.

I giggle and take his hand. “Why, thank you my lord.”

We walk up the stairs into the ornate ballroom, glistening in white and gold. The place is flush with velvet, silk, and other fineries adorning the room and guests with their bright smiles and heads held high. 

“It’s been years since I’ve been to one of these,” I remark, taking in the grandeur.

“I promise it will be a fun evening,” Enzo reassures me. “Why has it been so long?”

“My mother loved these events and used to take me with her all the time,” I smile at the memory. “When she passed away, her memory haunted me whenever I tried to go. It wasn’t the same anymore. She was radiant, Enzo. An unforgettable woman,” I gush.

“She must be,” he agrees, “to have such a wonderful daughter take after her.”

I lean into him, “oh come now, no one will hear our conversation. No need to say that for The Book.”

“Okay,” he says, “but I mean it.”

I grab a champagne flute to try to hide my blush.

After greeting everyone we knew, we settle into a corner of the ballroom. “So how exactly are we going to make it fun?” I ask.

“Let’s play a game of guess the conversation. Let’s pick people chatting together and try and guess what they’re saying based on how their lips move.”

The champagne fizzing on my tongue makes me bold. “What if we take it to the next level? Would you be able to guess what I say if I move my lips against yours?”

Enzo meets my eyes and visibly blushes. I grin at him, “maybe that’s should be our game,” I say, moving my lips to his ear. “Who can make each other blush the most?”

Mischief glints at the corner of his eye, “oh you’re on.”

“May I have this dance?” He asks as the music starts up.

We make our way to the dance floor and join the crowd. Enzo places his hand on my waist and holds my other hand. I rest my free hand on his shoulder and we move to the music.

“I’ll go first,” Enzo says. “You look really beautiful tonight.”

“Okay, new rule. You must only say what’s true and not for the sake of the game. Deal?”

“Sure,” he agrees. “I still stand by what I said.”

“Well you’re not too bad either in that suit. You look very princely, but I bet those clothes would look better on the bedroom floor.”

He chuckles, “oh we’re going there? Well, I think if you call me a prince…instead of calling you my princess, would you rather I call you a good girl?”

“Hmm that depends, you can’t call me a good girl when I want to do bad things to you.”

Enzo closes his eyes and groans. “You know bad girls get punished, how would you like to learn your lesson?”

“Using mnemonics,” I quip. “Which, as we’ve established, is not a made up word.”

Enzo laughs at my change in subject. “Thanks for coming here with me tonight. Now everyone in high society knows I’ve claimed you as mine.”

“Oh?” I ask, raising an eyebrow.

“I did not wink, unless you’d like me to?” 

I smirk and focus on our dance. Beneath the glowing chandelier and the intoxicating buzz of champagne in my veins, it’s getting more and more difficult to rein in my restraints.

“Thank you,” I tell Enzo after he walks me to my dorm.

“I should be thanking you, this phase of The Book is a success.”

“A lot of words were said tonight,” I begin and Enzo blushes at the memory.

“We don’t have to actually do anything, words can just be words,” he says gently.

I nod and wish him good night. As he turns and takes a few steps away from me, I hesitate. “Wait, Enzo.”

He looks back at me expectantly.

“Will you help me with my dress? It’s quite complicated to untie by myself.” 

He visibly gulps and nods as I lead him to my dorm.

After closing the door, Enzo moves behind me and starts working on untying my gown. String by string, pieces of silk come undone at his touch. I feel his warm breath at the nape of my neck and welcome the sparks of electricity that bloom where his skin grazes mine. I remind myself to breathe.

In the darkness of my room, alone again with Enzo in our own world, I can no longer keep lying to myself. “Enzo,” I breathe out, surprised by how touch starved my voice sounds.

“Yes?” He replies in an equally breathless voice.

“I can’t do this anymore,” I confess. His fingers freeze at my sudden declaration as he waits for me to go on.

I turn around and meet his eyes, “when this all started a few months ago, I was angry and looking to get revenge on Mattheo. I never expected -” I falter and gather myself.

“I never expected to get to know this amazing guy who’s funny, kind and is the best fake boyfriend. I never expected I could feel happy again after everything that happened. Enzo?”

“Hmm?” He asks encouragingly.

“You’re my silver lining.”

Enzo’s face lights up at my confession, “I thought I was the only one who felt something.”

I shake my head, “how could I not? I feel at home with you.”

He smiles, “falling for me, dear?”

I laugh, leaning into him, “actually yes, I am Enzo.”

He pulls me in for a hug. “I caught you, darling,” he says and we both giggle at how cheesy we sound.

When we pull apart, I look into his eyes and admit, “Enzo, I want this to be real.”

“I think it’s been real to me for a while,” he confesses. 

I smile and kiss him. Just like that, the sweetness of the moment is ignited with heat.

My most productive writing month was January, with 63k written, while my most productive writing day was December 1st, with 9k written on that Sunday alone! I participated in 10 fests, wrote 10 unique pairings, and ended up with a total of 289k words posted in 2024.

My goals for next year are to finally finish Something in the Orange (an angsty Drarry fic that I started writing nearly a year ago), post at least one fic a month (I have a backlog of like 7 already), and write 500k by the end of the year. Here's to a creative 2025! ⭐

👑Earth was programmed to be good with kids, she does work at the daycare after all! So naturally she's a great CG. Not too strict, yet not too lenient. The perfect balance. She's especially good with kiddos that have disabilities, whether mental or physical, kids that're shy, and kids with mental health struggles!

🩷She's like a mom to her kiddo(s). She has rules, of course. Rules are very important! But she's not near strict. She doesn't often punish her kiddo. She doesn't like doing so, and prefers to talk things out and figure out why they're acting out and disobeying. Though if she feels that her kid needs a punishment for disobeying, then she'll most likely either ground them for the day, or put them in time out for ten minutes. Of course, if her kid isn't comfy with punishments then she won't punish them!

👑She doesn't fall for puppy dog eyes, nor kids crying to get their way. Will not hesitate to bring her kid back home if they start throwing a tantrum in Walmart or somewhere, though once they get home she'll hug them (with their consent) and help them calm down, then explain to them why they went home and why they didn't get what they wanted. Then, she'll set up an allowance system for them if they do chores.

🩷She pays attention to literally everything her kiddo says. They say they like this one specific type of candy that's this one specific brand in passing? They wake up to one on their bedside table/beside their bed/wherever they sleep + a note that says "A little birdy told me you like these, sweetheart! I love you <3"

👑She's great to play all types of games with. Doctors? She'll be their doctor or patient, whichever her kid wants. Royalty? Oneth is dying of memory. A spirit whose power flourishes in darkness, it was weakened as Hyrule left the Calamity behind and entered a new era of peace and enlightenment. Although every mouth that utters its name brings it closer to its death, Oneth still revealed itself to Sabel, and the two formed a pact. To erase the burden of memory from the world, easing Sabel's suffering and grief while saving his mysterious friend's life. It cannot be seen. Oneth is a small, slight creature that glows with a faint light, much like a fairy; absent is the cheery tinkling of fairy bells. It is nearly a foot in height and has wings and long, tangled appendages. Its fish-like gaze betrays a desire to see all swallowed by the abyss. Its domain is oblivion and the lightless abyssal depths of the sea.

Last November probably. So I do have newer ocs. But they needs images :( regarding its design:

i had the idea of an anti-fairy with fish attributes for a little while, but it clicked into place after playing some Ico recently. I had to draw the thing at the intersection of Yorda, Seath the scaleless, and rabbit fish (chimaera monstrosa.) One of my other inspirations for this character was Jenna Moran's oeuvre of RPGs like Nobilis and Glitch. Never even played them I just follow people on tumblr who post about them nonstop

Seyches began as my MapleStory character when I started playing around 2005.

In his first iteration, he was an exiled prince with eyes that changed colors based on emotion, in a love triangle with two or more demon boyfriends, and eternally escaping some dungeon or being caged somewhere.

Also, he was called into duty as a silly pirate's first mate and pyrotechnics expert; such are the demands of irc rp.

Seyches (I already have his IPA right here, so I'll drop it: [sɛʃ]) is a lonely 30-year-old dude. He has a job as a scrivener, but moonlights as a forger. In his spare time, he’s writing a historical play about Gerudo kings. He likes coffee and cats. He is a trans man, born female and living as a man; a move regarded by some as “not Gerudo-like.” Irrelevant.

He's a former "business partner" of Domri, who pretends not to know Seyches despite being well acquainted. He has an ability to suss out people's secrets, so after meeting Sabel and Ark he becomes aware of both their bizarre obsession with each other and the potential doom they intend to bring upon the world. Well, he's neither a user of powerful magic nor a ninja swordsman, so the best he can do is play mind games with them.

Anika, whose name I misspelled in my previous post, and who I fridged...Um, if there's anything I'd like to say to women, it's this: I'm sorry women.

Here's what we know: she was a girl who liked to sing, chase boys, and privately harbor grandiose dreams. After the birth of her only child, he became her primary obsession. Btw, the father is unknown, but according to genetic testing on the only chromosome he didn't inherit from her (wait, I count 47 here?) we have narrowed down the most likely candidates to Jareth the Goblin King and aliens from ufos. So anyway, Anika and her parthenogenetic clone were able to comfortably get by once the child started talking to fairies, who would lead him to places where caches of treasure had been hidden long ago by people who hoped to retrieve it after the apocalypse.

Ark has been around about as long as Seyches, originating as a doodle based on the main character of Pokemon Trozei, which I read about in Nintendo Power and have never played. Regrettably it was drawn on the back of my state standardized test so I could never have it back.

He was a ponytail girl with a blue beret. and a blonde. He became a copium ranger/repressed ninja. For my own satisfaction, I thought I could make a strongly ftm-coded cis male character, but something else happened.

He's a man but he's a child. He's in love with his murderer. He knows he's being manipulated and he can see through Sabel’s lies. He's a puppet he's a doll. He's sick and full of twisted grief. And he's your next president/owner of the Triforce of wisdom. Wisdom?! I wish I’d been born a… The wanter.

Star: Prime defenders is definitely my favorite, probably because that's the only one I've finished, but The Suckening is a close second. Pd just, took my whole heart, crushed it up into little confetti and decorated my life with it.

bomb: I would probably summon William Wisp. No, he doesn't stop the bomb. He's just really really bleak about it and spends the whole time talking about that one time it rained blood, and playing that one off-brand twister game or off-brand uno, lmao.

Boxing glove: First favorite is probably William Wisp, I know he's my whole thing, but it's true. I just relate so hard to him, and death is something I'm super interested in, and gah , so much more.

Next favorite is probably either Grefgor or Soda. I love them. I love them so much. I love how dedicated grefgor is to his princes, and how even though Shilo basically threatened him into leaving he still loves him.

finally, probably Dakota Cole. I love how he's secretly the wisest on the team and how deeply caring he is. He has strong moral standings, but he also holds his friends above them (to a reasonable extent). Also, he's a total badass. poor Bizly having to make NPCs to stand against THE Dakota Cole.

I think it depends a little which part of PD the fight would take place in. At the beginning I'd say Dakota is a pretty clear winner, Grefgor Is a vampire, so he's pretty strong and he might stand a chance against season one William, but probably not much against Dakota. At the end of PD I would say William actually has the highest chance of winning. As far as I know he has near full control of his powers by that point and is beyond death. He can be literally untouchable, and his ghost shaping was so powerful they had to nerf it, lol.

A Game of retribution Review

Note: This book is intended for mature audiences over the age of 18 due to explicit content (steamy chapters).

Well, dear readers, hold on to your mythical chariots because we've been taken on yet another whirlwind ride with the gods of Olympus and the Underworld in "A Game of Retribution". Our old pals Hades and Persephone have returned, along with an entourage of divine drama that could only be rivaled by a soap opera airing directly from Mount Olympus.

Remember that old chestnut of a quote, “Knowledge changes perception”? This statement encapsulates the essence of this third installment perfectly. Hades, our underworld anti-hero, who once saw no issues letting souls meander off into the afterlife, is found in the midst of many a mortal miscommunication. Bless him, he did try to respect Persephone's time with her friend, Lexa, but as they say, the road to the Underworld is paved with good intentions. You'd think after centuries of existence, the dude would’ve mastered the art of timing and empathy.

On a side note, why was Persephone so desperate to keep Lexa alive? If I were to see my friend for eternity in a place like the Underworld (which, let's be honest, is essentially an eternal spa retreat for souls), would I really be so worried about a premature send-off? No, but maybe that's just me.

Meanwhile, Hades is found juggling a narrative equivalent of chasing his own tail. Every time he tries to investigate, interrogate, or perhaps indulge in a much-deserved nap, our dear Persephone, with her seemingly never-ending escapades, interrupts him. And poor Hades is dragged from one scenario to the next, like a divine yo-yo. At times, you almost wish for the guy to just hit the 'mute' button on his celestial phone.

We also delve deeper into Zofie's past. Remember Zofie? Persephone's bodyguard who packs more mystery than Pandora's box? Our glimpse into her history and Hades' hand in her life added depth to an already intricate tapestry of storylines. It’s akin to finding out that your mysterious friend who always wears sunglasses was actually a spy… and also once played in a rock band.

However, let’s address the papyrus in the room: the formatting and editing. Was there a minor deity in charge of this? Maybe the god of typos? The occasional errors, though not tragic, did sometimes feel like Hermes had misdelivered a sentence or two. And as for the formatting - the margins! It felt like reading a scroll that Zeus might have accidentally sat on. Perhaps it's a design choice meant to symbolize the vast emptiness of the void? If that's the case, kudos for thematic consistency. If not, let's hope the next edition will be more space-efficient.

In conclusion, A Game of Retribution scores a celestial 3 out of 5 stars from this humble mortal. For all its highs and lows, it's a must-read for fans of the series. And I, for one, am eagerly donning my toga in anticipation of the upcoming books announced by Scarlett St. Clair on her divinely curated Instagram. Bring on the melodrama, the myths, and maybe a map of Hades’ underworld investigations - because this mortal is here for it all.

1. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo

Genre: Romance, historical, fantasy, melodrama

Plot: When a total eclipse of the sun took place, a 21st century woman, is transported back in time to the Goryeo Dynasty of Korea, in the body of 16-year-old girl. There she witnesses love, rivalry, politics, and friendships ensue between the handsome princes, in a fight for the throne, friendship, and love.

2. Hotel Del Luna (main girl is played by the same actress cause I'm obsessed 😭 why she always chooses dramas that can ruin meee)

Genre: dark fantasy, romantic comedy

Plot: When he's invited to manage a hotel for dead souls, an elite hotelier gets to know the establishment's ancient owner and her strange world.

3. Alice in Borderland (my beloved 🤌🏻it has 2 seasons, 2d is the final one)

Genre: thriller, drama🤌🏻, a bit of science fiction

TW: be ready mentally you'll probably cry a lot watching ep3✌️

Plot: An aimless gamer and his two friends find themselves in a parallel Tokyo, where they're forced to compete in a series of "card" games to survive.

4. Love between fairy and devil

So, this one is based on a 2009 Nintendo DS game I played since childhood called Princess Debut. Good times ❤️

I posted this on Instagram last year.

Why are there zodiacs? Well, the princes have default zodiacs on them in-game. We can choose one for our character before the start of the game, so I chose Sagittarius. The rest of the princesses don't have those features so for the sake of this piece, I just pick one zodiac for each that hasn't been taken by the player or the princes. Quite the coincidence that there are 6 princes and 6 princesses.

My biggest downside with this piece is that I had to trace the character sprites of each character to create the silhouettes. I'm not good at drawing people, especially digitally.

Jianyu and Crimson: Thinking about Crimson’s royalty verse and how maybe Jianyu’s company was one of the ones that came to assist him with issues around the kingdom. Dealing with monsters is the specialty of a lot of those in their guild, so killing demons and protecting the populace for money is right up their alley.

Jianyu and Atlas: I was reading up on Atlas and I am intrigued. There were some key words in that dossier that had me like, “-points-” But I think that an interaction between these two would be neat to explore. Jianyu has no love towards royalty as he had to participate in battles back when he was first starting out as a mercenary because of their clashing with either other kingdoms or with family. The last conflict he participated in was due to the latter – two brothers fighting for the throne because their father died before selecting an heir. However, due to Atlas being so different, an exchange would be neat, I think. Perhaps they met during his younger years and when Atlas was a prince?

Jianyu and the Tsukinos: GIMME THE…TSUKINOS. GIMME ALL OF THEM. ALL. OF. THEM. He’d be so protective of Hikari. I think it’d mainly be because she would remind him of his little sister that he left back in his village forever ago. Maybe Taiyou is an off and on again member of the guild that Jianyu is in and so they speak occasionally? He probably admonishes him a lot for being reckless. All I can imagine is like – Taiyou getting things done, but also making a mess FKSJDFSFS. Jianyu probably really like Yoru’s drinks and asks him sometimes to come to the guild and work there. Both because he’s good at killing monsters and there’s no shortage of jobs that call for that for people, and also because…he wants his drinks…. Same for Shou. CHOP CHOP MAKE HIM DRINKS. But also he'd have him out there killing monsters and demons as well. He’d be curious as to why many in the family hold such skill in doing so too--

Percival and Crimson: Hey so what if Percival was one of Crimson’s knights? What if? What if he was really protective of Crimson’s well-being? What if he always reminded him to take care of himself and listened to his worries and concerns? WHAT IF-- But for FGO, I think they’d just really get along in general. Both of them are polite and have the most easygoing of personalities. He will make sure Crimson eats well by cooking an abnormal amount of food for him.

Arash and Taiyou: You can bet 1000% that Arash will be able to see past Taiyou’s easygoing demeanor. One is primarily due to him being Clairvoyant and being able to read people eerily well as a result, but also because the both of them are somewhat similar in a couple of regards. Taiyou says something fake and he’s probably calling it out 90% of the time.

Kyojuro and the Tsukinos: I am once again, taking all of them into my arms. I remember you showing me a while back about some of them working as teachers like in that one verse where all the Hashira / Demon Slayers are at that high school and so I am moooost definitely interested in exploring that! Teacher bonding… I can’t remember if you have a Demon Slayer verse but I’m snatching that up to. I’m snatching everything give it to me right noooow—

Tomoe and Crimson: I think he would remind her of Yoshinaka. It’s that kind of warmth that he has that would be so nostalgic for her, and so she’d speak to him very formally and probably 10x more respectful than she talks to everyone…which is above and beyond since she’s already respectful in how she talks to everyone fkjhdsfdsf.

Tomoe and Yoru: She'd be really impressed, I think, with his skill with a blade but also his character! As someone who held a great deal of responsibilities looking after others, she understands that he probably took it upon himself to really look after his siblings. Sometimes she probably tries to get him to play games with her or even spar from time to time. She's love to learn how to make drinks from him, but alas...Tomoe fears she'd probably break things.

Nagayoshi and Taiyou: Idk why but I just see Taiyou messing with him kfjdshfdsfs. IT’S A FEELING. I have no idea how that interaction would go but Taiyou is like a little fox man so he’d skirt by, I think.

Nagayoshi and Hikari: A very odd match up, I know, but listen – Hikari has that calming presence that I think would make him very strangely complacent around her. He’d probably tone down his more violent urges in her presence too, which is also very odd for him. Hikari can sit on his shoulders. He’s carrying her around on missions--
