YES YESYESYES PLEASE!!!! I need this in my life pleasepleaseplease!!!
I need to see how Sky reacts too! Because he technically doesn't have royalty at all yet! So while he understands the basic "treat royalty with respect" how much does he separate royalty from other Hylians in his mind?
Does he treat Legend the most normal after the reveal? Even if he gives more thought towards his words? Does he connect the dots and tell Legend that since he's his ancestor, Sky doesn't have to be all formal with him?
Legend then going to hang out and pair up with Sky more and more often because he's the most bearable to be around until the others get over the fact that their brother is a prince >
Does Hyrule already know? How much about the Hero of Legend's story gets passed down? How much of his story does Hyrule realistically know?
Ohhhh I would definitely read this!!
Legend the not royalty
Fanfic prompt: Legend and Fable are twins so it makes Legend royalty
But considering how respectful and polite the entire chain (except wind and tetra but wind still respects royalty ) are to their own royalty
Him thinking that if they found out they would treat him as royalty and then he would no longer be capable of bantering with anyone
And fearing the day that his relationship with his found family will be ruined
Because every single comment on respect and warship they throw at him for daring to speak against royalty
Every outburst about honoring them
Every interaction with the Zeldas of different times
It only leads to him hating his origins more and more
Leading to him hating royalty more
He absolutely fears what happens if they find out
And then when they eventually go to his Hyrule while a big ball is about to happen
He was just defeated because
That’s it , the second they see him joining fable at the head of the table they will know
He was genuinely resigned about it and yet the opportunity to finally get it over with and no longer having to deal with the uncertainty of what happens next
Was perfect
And as they get separated from eachother to be dressed for the ball
He just sits as clothes of the highest quality get put on
as his hair gets done
As final preparations are made
Knowing that everything will end when they see him
Finally lining up next to Fable just as royally dressed as him
Seeing the doors open and step outside together with mirror perfect timing
Sit down next to his sister and watch as the chain puts two and two together
(He was ready to cry but he had an image to preserve so he just pilled up his royal act tenfold)
After the ball
There was a sort of tension between them all that Legend feared would happen
No more banter between brothers
So he might as well just tell him to fuck off
But instead Warriors just went for the most aggressively polite insult he had ever heard
“When should I be fucking the offs your highness”
Because Warriors still had to be a little shit even though he respects royalty
This is his little brother who he won’t let win even if it goes against everything he ever thought about
And soon enough the entire chain was politely insulting Legend for his “miscalculated and perhaps even unwise behavior”
Legend : “don’ call me your highness anymore just legend”
The chain being little shits: “of course your not highness just legend”
Just Legend: *incomprehensible screeching*
The chain: “excusessseeee me , your not highness “

Fic Concept: Prince Legend
I know everyone says "write for yourself" but I can fantasize this stuff at work if it's just for me, so I'm throwing it to you guys to gauge interest on if I should actually write it
A Prince Legend fic. He knows he's royal, he doesn't live like it. The rest don't know, but learn, one by one (sort of Feathered AU style) in various scenarios, and adjust accordingly.
Sky accepts that Legend is his descendant
Wild has a minor identity crisis on whether this means that, as a royal knight, he's responsible for the vet's safety
Warriors' training kicks in ad he's suddenly very proper and all that fun stuff
Wind is entirely unaffected because nobles what? (He thinks it's cool but doesn't let it bother him)
Still working out how the rest will respond, as this would be less a personal thing for them, but they all figure it out and none of them realize that the others know, and maybe are trying to either hint it to them (they want Sky to know of course) or stop them finding out (Twilight realizes the knights probably shouldn't find out because of Legend's history with knights).
No clue where it would go, but as it's a dynamic based fic rather than plot-heavy, I feel I could take it on without much of a plan and run with it like I've done with other dynamic-based stories. Let it do what it wants and just have fun seeing where it all goes
I know I've been working on TBoHH, but I sort of miss having a few long fics going at once and updating one every two days or so (there is no buzz!) so I'm throwing this out there.

“Who is represented here?”
Link had always been fascinated by great monuments. In Skyloft, space was limited, so everything had to be small. The only real big decoration was the statue of the goddess, but over time, it had become increasingly difficult to visit. Now that he could explore new places and the Hylian civilization, he found joy in observing statues and other monuments.
This one was particularly beautiful and seemed relatively new, which piqued his curiosity about the stories behind its existence that was probably still not forgotten. The statue depicted a young man, or perhaps a boy, bowing before the figure of a tall woman. She resembled the statue of Hylia he had seen in front of the castle earlier that day. The entire statue was crafted from a dark material, except for the golden Triforce on the forehead of what he assumed was Hylia, and the two purple gems that sparkled in the boy's eyes. The dark obsidian of the statue contrasted beautifully with the white and gold imagery of Hyrule Castle.
“That’s a statue of Link,” Zelda said, looking up at the figure.
“What!? Really?” the sailor exclaimed, glancing between Zelda and the statue.
“Well, yes. Neither Link nor I are particularly fond of this statue, but it tells a part of Hyrule’s story that must never be forgotten. That’s why we decided it should remain here,” she explained, her gaze fixed on the obsidian figure.
“What happened ?” Link asked, still captivated by the boy’s gaze.
“That shouldn’t be my story to tell,” she replied, beginning to look nervous.
The group exchanged glances. They all knew they shouldn’t push for information about their Vet; he was quite secretive and deserved to keep his privacy. However, the statue's presence implied that this story wasn’t entirely hidden. The Vet wasn’t there, and since they met him, Zelda had been their only reliable source of information about him.
Link chose to stay silent, waiting for the sailor to insist further. He could practically see that Zelda was having the same train of thought.
“Well, I suppose it’s not a secret after all,” she sighed. She looked back at the statue, struggling to look away, and began to speak.
“As you know, Link is my biological brother. Long ago, the queens of Hyrule received a blessing ensuring that their children would only be born female, allowing them to continue Hylia’s legacy. Having a boy was considered a curse. When my mother discovered that one of the twins she had just given birth to was a male, she knew she had to hide him from everyone at court, even from my father, the king, to ensure his safety.” She turned around to look at the ceiling clearly avoiding the statue.
“She placed Link under the protection of an old knight who would care for him as his own. He received an education in the arts and music, staying far away from swords and blades. But secrets don’t last forever. Ten years later, I was kidnapped, and I used my power to reach out for help. Knowing I couldn’t rely on the knight, who was under dark influence, I sought anyone bearing the blood of the goddess. Link was the only one to hear my plea. Saving me meant revealing an identity that even we didn’t fully understand.
When my father discovered who Link was, he sentenced him to death, believing my kidnapping was a result of his existence.”
Link heard a series of sharp gasps beside him. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Hyrule, the kingdom he was building with the love of his life sentencing a ten-year-old boy to death for simply existing.
“Artists condemned to death are allowed one last act of creation—one last painting, one last song... I needed time to persuade my father to change his mind, so Link and I decided that he would dance. It was the only way to ensure he wouldn’t fall asleep if I took too long. He danced for an entire week in front of the castle, no matter how people treated him. Some threw shards of glass and boiling water at him, but he kept dancing without eating, drinking, or stopping. When I finally managed to make him stop, when my father accepted to let him live, the last thing he did before collapsing was bow before the statue of the goddess Hylia.” She stopped for e few second looking again at the statue.
“This statue is a representation of this moment, of my brother last dance. He never danced again him who loved it so much”
A heavy silence hung over them as they continued to gaze at the statue. So, this was one of the secret his brother had kept. What else remained unsaid among them? What other dark stories were hidden beneath their armors and swords? Link could feel the tingle of Demise lightning as he turned around hearing a shout from outside.
“Are you coming? We don’t have all day, and I’m hungry, so hurry up!” called their Vet.
The sailor was the first to snap out of his reverie, rushing to join the young man outside. The others followed silently, not looking back at the dark figure behind them. Link could almost feel the purple gems watching him as he stepped out.
————————————
I know that it doesn’t really make sense in the cannon of TLOZ but this scene was on my mind so tadam i guess
Same as last time if a made any error tell me i want to improve
And Sky is the narrator here so he is the one that is cold « Link » considering that he is talking about himself. Zelda call Legend Link because it makes sense
Have a great day again and this post is probably gonna be deleted because i dont really like how it turned out

Hylia's lover and her reincarnation
Fanfic prompt: There are theories that the fierce deity was hylia's lover
But that means that anyone with royal blood would have her light in them
What if the fierce deity’s mask straight up imprinted on Legend
As one of the most close people with hylia's light
The same way time used to always find the mask next to him
Legend is now getting haunted by the mask as it appears next to him
In his bed no less
Every single time he shoved the mask back to time it just spawned uncomfortably close to him
It's creeping him out like hell
When he was chilling with Ravio the mask joined and creepily stared from the cupboard
It was not making anything better… especially when it just disappeared
And Time also is very unsettled by the mask (more so then he already is)
And now fears it even more then he does already because it’s obsessed with Legend like it was never before
He thought it was a danger out of violence… this is somehow so much worse and more concerning then the violent tendencies
Warriors is also getting flashbacks of Cia being nothing better then the fierce deity
All in all it was not a fun time
It got even worse when eventually the Chain was fighting a much bigger threat then ever before and time was forced to use the mask no matter how much he hated it
The fierce deity was then trailing after Legend and not letting go of time
Main while Legend is incredibly uncomfortable but also afraid of the deity getting angry
The deity is busy reconnecting with a remaining part of his lover
And very sad that his wife is afraid of him

LINKTOBER DAY 21: Water Temple
Sidon grapples the horrors of the water temple guardian while Link and Zelda beeline for the terminal.
And they got a weird rock out of the whole ordeal! What a win.
(The Water Sage is a doctor. Her last student had come to her with the intention to destroy a flesh plague, and she had readily agreed to invest all she has in his quest-
-until she has nothing left to give, except a defiled labratory, a destroyed body, and a lingering spirit chained by stubbornness and spite.)
Not that our trio would know any of this. The linguistic drift in the last ten thousand years is insane.
This au’s called familiar familiar! It’s a self indulgent totk au where zelda and link traverse the wild lands of hyrule post upheaval.
My patreon is here, if you wish to throw a penny at your local Unhinged Artist!

Hello! I was just wondering: you have the headcanon that Hylia is Legend’s mother, correct?
If yes, could you explain a little bit?
I don’t mean to sound rude I just think it’s a super interesting headcanon and wondered where it came from (I have not played any of Legend’s games- it’s on my to do list tho!)
Okay so!
This isn't so much a headcannon as a fun thing I like to play with. Technically, there's very little in canon about Legend's parents- none I daresay. Of course, if you look to the manga's (which I did before I started playing his games), you do find bit's and pieces about his family thrown in.
There's quite a few references to his family being from a sacred sect of knights:
Tumblr media
And also references to what happened to them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also see through both their lack of existence in the games and also the explanations in the manga that Legend never knew his parents.
Tumblr media
So, while the manga does tell us that Legend's father was a knight and once friends with Aganim (the lead villain of ALTTP), there's very little at all about his mother except for two things: she's described as gentle and she always held out hope that she and her husband could return to the light realm and find their child to be part of his life. Obviously, her wish never came true, and when Legend comes to the dark world, he's told that while at first they resisted evil, they eventually fell to it and became beasts as well one day.
Tumblr media
Which leaves us with nothing but some basic facts:
His family are descended from the knights of Hyrule
His father was a left-handed knight (uncannily a similar description to how Four is spoken of in the manga's as well, but that's not for today)
His mother was a 'gentle lady'
His father had a brother
And that's about it. One can take this a dozen directions. You could say a anyone was his father, and anyone was his mother. In Flight To My Heart, I made it to where an alternate version of Dusk is Legend's mother and Twilight is his Uncle in that world. Now, that was more for funsies and based off of thoughts from my audience, but it still worked out alright and was somewhat believable.
Now, granted, there's the theory that Legend and Fable are siblings, be it twins, half siblings, or whatever have you that it may be. I love this theory, as most folks know. I love this theory a lot and I really enjoy the implications of it: if Legend is Fable's brother, then he's descended from the royal family. If he's from the royal family, then he's Sky's descendant. if he's Sky's descendant, then he's also Sun's. And Sun is Hylia.
I think it started with just having people refer to him as a "child of Hylia" that did it for me. Granted, those people where characters in my ow fics half of the time, but it made me think. What if he was?
I did see the idea explored in "In An Era" by Script_The_Skeleton, but while I may have used it as a throwaway line, I never really tried out writing it until I wrote "Hylia's Child, Hylia's Slave" where having Legend's mother be a goddess was necessary. It was a vent fic meant to help express the powerlessness one can feel under the eye of a mother who seemingly has endless power over them and is impossible to escape from. Hylia, as a goddess, was the optimal choice for that, especially as half the fandom agrees that Legend and Hylia don't get along.
Now, as for how that could work, let's look at Hylia a bit first. Hylia is a goddess, and she incarnated before the beginning of Skyward Sword in order to fight alongside her hero better than she was able to before when Skyloft was first raised. By the time of Breath of the Wild however, it's somewhat hinted that she was no longer incarnating for whatever reason. My theory is that after long enough, when an incarnate died, she determined that Hyrule was strong enough without he immediate power among them and returned to wherever it is that the goddesses all hang out. This would probably be not long before Four's time. In Four Swords, there's something called 'Force' or 'light power' that Link has to collect, and this power is what was left behind when Hylia gave up incarnating, similarly to how the Triforce was created when the Golden Trio departed the earth.
With Hylia returned to the heavens, she was no longer passing her power along through the Hylian line, which is why it's not uncommon that characters that the various heroes meet with over time make reference to Hylians beginning to die out. Unfortunately, their power also began to die out, and by the time of the Sealing War (the war fought to seal Ganon after the death of the Fallen Hero AKA Time) there were precious few Hylians left and very little power, hence, Hylia returned.
Now this is all theoretical, but in my fics, the lore to it is that Hylia returned, taking mortal form, but not incarnating herself exactly. She held the power to shed her form if she wanted, but she didn't. She married and helped to bring Hyrule to strength again. Then of course, she had two children with her husband, twins, and then everything fell apart. In trying to protect her people, evil power overwhelmed her and injured her so that she had to drop her mortal form and return to the place of the goddesses to recover from the attacks by Ganon's servants, leaving behind her kingdom and children to deal with Aganim and Ganon.
Fable and Legend, having suffered as much as they have since a young age, are capable protectors of Hyrule, and Hylia no longer saw a need to return to Hyrule to restore it, what with her children accomplishing the task for her. Instead, she turns her attention to other duties and people.
While we don't see it much in the official Zelda games, Nintendo has shown us that Fable, out of all of the Zeldas, is extremely powerful. As her twin, Legend would bear similar power, thus making them strong enough to take on a lot more than the average Hylian. Honestly, that's probably why I love this idea so much. Dragon Wars and Fierce Deity Time are all well and great, Feral Wild and Wolf Twilight are wonderful, Fairy Hyrule and Godkiller Sky are fantastic, but the thing that will always have my heart is Demi-God Legend, the "average nobody" who can and will unleash a fury like nothing else when he chooses.
