I was listening to Sabaton's Primo Victoria, and I get such "first day of the Nírnaeth" vibes from it.
Through the gates of Hell
As we make our way to Heaven
Through the orcish liiiiiiines
Primo Victoria!
Twenty-first of June
On the plains and Fens of Serech
Year four-seven-twoooooooo
The battle's upon us!
And then the Union of Maeðros won and they got their Silmarils back, and they blackmailed Thingollo into returning the third one (as Doriath had very few allies left, what with their isolation), and everyone lived happily ever after. ^-^
Edit: added more under this.
Hearts of Iron has serious "fleeing the Nírnaeth Arnoediad" vibes.
It's the end, the war has been lost
Keeping them safe 'til the river's been crossed
Nicht ein Schlacht, ein Rettungsaktion
Holding their ground 'til the final platoon
"Hurry up, we're waiting for you"
Men of the north and the Elvenfolk too
Dispossessed, escape away from the West
I got a new backpack over the christmas break. It's a military-styled backpack amd I love it alot. Very comfy
As I was going into school today, I was running as I usually do. I like to get in before the entrances get full. I was wearing my new military backpack and I was listening to music. The song was Primo Victoria, by Sabaton. It's about Operation Overlord and the Storming of Normandy Beaches.
The beginning of "Mr Mistoffelees" from sometime earlier in the run of Cats: the Jellicle Ball aka Cats PAC NYC
Sydney James Harcourt as Rum Tum Tugger, Garnet Williams as Bombalurina, Primo as Tumblebrutus, Antwayn Hopper as Macavity and Shelby Griswold as Victoria
I was being a happy little hater before the Sabaton concert on Sunday & bitching about the set list cause they left off a bunch of songs that I really like from this album but y’know what. I was wrong it was a kickass show. I maintain that I didn’t necessarily need to hear Red Baron but it was really, really good.
