The Parents! Or should I say the previous rulers of Xirustale! I finally finished their designs! for those were wondering, these are the parents of the triplets, or better yet the Triple X

I’m working on the new Xirustale blog that way we can move the questions over there instead. It will be the official blog for this AU and everything I worked on for it will be re-blogged to that one.

I haven’t forgotten about the Triple X’s cousins so I’m gonna work on their designs sometime soon.

Reading a little bit about the actual Colossus of Nero that stood in Rome for awhile. It stood long enough to have its face altered and changed a few times, and one of those alterations was to replace the head with the head of Commodus.

I’m just- I can’t really be sure within the ToA universe if Nero knew what happened with his statue after he died, as well as its ultimate fate in the end (likely melted down and reused for something else. Which is why we have so few bronze statues from ancient Rome) but I find the idea of him learning that Commodus defaced his colossal statue and replaced it with his own likeness hilarious.

AU is kinda cracked because just when everything enters relevant part of plot about Rulers and Monarchs mess, those idiots’ (affectionate??) attention focuses on Jinchul because it’s the creator they all mutually kinda hate so there’s that great hunt on who can kill god again (and this time monarchs probably really want to get a score) and it’s literally jinchul trying not to die long enough for jinwoo to arrive and help him because who the fuck those creatures and why they want him so fucking dead

and insane part is when jinwoo arrives only to see jinchul straight up skewered barely alive like AB was and boy does it awaken Ashborn’s trauma so badly it becomes even bigger mess (and no one realizes they also triggered AB’s trauma about his own death)

I do wanna throw it out there quickly that we know Shakky retired from being a pirate and the Kuja Empress 42 years ago at the age of 22, while Hancock took the throne 13 years ago (age 18), meaning the Missing Empress' reign/era lasted for about 29 years

And while we don't know how long the Kuja might've been without a ruler between empresses (like do they have a system set where they know who will take the throne next Immidiately After the previous one steps down/dies/etc, or might they spend years without an empress until they find a new suitable ruler?)

We do know that when Shakky retired, Crocodile would've been four

So unless Crocodile became The Kuja Empress at Age 4 (or unless the Kuja were completely without an empress for almost a decade and then gave the throne to a literal child), then there's no way Crocodile could be the Missing Kuja Empress

anyway here's how my splatfest experience went (i was on team bunnies btw)

kicked ass in bicolor. was winning like 5ish games in a row at a time. i only lost 6 times getting to the halfway point (~180p into champion), and 3 of those were mirror matches and we had a disconnect on a fourth (that one was also a 10x.....). on the other hand one of the remaining two that i lost was a 10x because of course it was

didn't really like this tricolor stage. i feel like the problem was that s3 mahi-mahi tends to suck until the water goes down, but since it's tied to the first ultra signal it's no longer an inevitability. and so you have half of the people there basically committed to making the stage suck for the entire 3 minutes (whether they want it that way or not)

also i got a really late start the first night and despite all the wins speeding things up i ended up getting to the halfway point with enough time to get uhhhhhh 20ish minutes of sleep before i had to get up for work so like. night 2 i was definitely not functioning as well as i would be otherwise (though i still did ok. i had one win where i went 12-1. and the one death was me knowingly sacrificing myself to successfully stop an ultra signal attempt so it was acceptable)

so anyway yeah i lost a ton of tricolor battles. seemed like most of the non-mirror ones i was attacking on had bear cubs defending and they were almost always super super aggressive (they'd drive pretty far into our spawn... pretty sure that usually leaves the signal undefended from the other side but i guess the other team wasn't on top of things), and im like you people do know this is bear cub and not like. full grown adult grizzly bears or something right. so given that i thought i wouldn't be surprised to see bears take the tricolor clout category. and sure enough they did

would've been cool to see frye win but whatever. i stopped caring about winning splatfests after all the times i lost them in s1, so my main concern is always just getting to ruler to maximize my snails

What if this previous ruler Pierro talks about is actually the Alberich that became a regent and not king Irmin, and he fucked up so badly that the Alberichs are actively erasing their traces for reasons unknown (maybe to not be found by someone?). It also falls in place if we consider that Lumine was in Khaenri'ah when the kingdom was on its last legs and she lived with Pierro. So when the cataclysm finally came—

So, been thinking about the Rulers of the Moon AU, even have finally gotten to a point where I am starting to write the first chapter as I've figured out how I want to handle the first few weeks, and thinking about what to do after the Extella section of the story, had the idea of the gang (Hakuno, Rin, Rani, and Shirano aka the Hakuno from Earth) starting to recruit other masters from either potential masters coming to the Moon from Earth, as we're told at the end of Extella that humanity is starting to migrate to SE.RA.PH, or AI and NPCs that are starting to become human, as it's also been mentioned that if an NPC embraces their humanity and gathers enough resources can become AIs and both can become Masters of servants so long as they meet certain requirements, and one of the first people I thought of is EX!Shirou aka E!Rin's Uncle because of the shenanigans that would insue.

me and my coworker friend brainrotted a little during lunch at work which resulted a in weird ass chart

basically ‘three flavors of edsali (?)’ as my friend summarized it based on firsthand impressions and ideas and it’s kinda fun

flavor number one/‘broken summoning concept’: pretty much rider dantes and caster salieri that are never meant to be summoned or even exist unless that’s some really fucked up shit happening around to make them actually summonable, pretty much scrapped origins. considering it’s them prior their lives went to hell, they’re just being sweet and nice to each other and everyone else, free of trauma and pain and anger.

flavor number two/‘the nameless reflections’: your classic avengers in their natural environment, two weird existences that are constantly stuck in their own revenge and anger of it, hence why they refuse to be called by names they can never call their own, just a count and kapellmeister. the constant pull of push, coldness and passion towards each other, awkward and weird balance akin to a dance.

flavor number three/‘the grand origin and finality’: (grand) avenger and (grand) ruler just chilling with each other and probably playing chess, long past identity crisis, completely comfortable at who and what they are, old married power couple energy as a bonus.
