Hello there, my dear friends and acquaintances! I hope that you all are doing well. It sure has been a long time since I last posted here. All I can say is that life off the interwebs gets you really busy, and certain experiences can test your mettle to see if you're strong enough to carry on. I won't bore you all with the gory details besides that. But on a positive note, I will say that I am doing my best to keep my head above water. It's not always easy but I stay strong. Now, with all of that out of the way, I can get on with explaining the context of the flyer above! As the Lupin the 3rd fans here already know we're getting a live action Jigen Daisuke movie. Having played everyone's favorite gunman once before in the 2014 live action Lupin the 3rd film Tetsuji Tamayama will be reprising his role as Jigen in the live action film, which is being directed by Hajime Hashimoto and Yoshimasa Akamatsu writing the screenplay. The film is set to premier worldwide on Amazon Prime Video this year in October. But not just any October day...it'll premier on October 13th. On. A. Friday. We're getting an actual Friday the 13th in October in 2023!

And so, in honor of this epic news, I decided to do something special. I've seen a lot of prompt weeks for different fandoms with different themes and the like - so I thought I'd get in on it. And since October is the month of Halloween and the live action Jigen Daisuke film is coming out on October 13th, I felt that prompts involving things that go bump in the night would be the way to go. Which brings us to the flyer above! I picked the seven monsters that I believe best fit our dearest gunman, starting from October 7th and going all the way to October 13th. Everyone can make artwork or stories with any monster on any day they choose and set their creations in any universe, whether it's the cannon lupin the 3rd franchise or an alternate universe or a crossover with any other anime of their choosing. Of course, for the romantics out there you can pair a monstrous Jigen with anyone your heart desires. In my case I plan to make a fanfic series of these days with each story featuring my favorite pairing; Jigoe(Jigen/Goemon)! Welp that's all I have to say. It was really nice to make a post here after so long. I missed being on here, and I'll hopefully try to be more active. mittens !!!! pattern X - i modified a bit because my yarn was a bit more thick, so i shortned a few rows of the colorwork & added the burnt orange details instead :)

#remember when i posted almost a month ago about a friend that commissioned some mittens #?#so yeah the one i was making initially turned out fine i suppose #i even posted the picture here #but the i noticed the sizing wasn’t right & the yarn i was using was sooo annoying to work it i just couldn’t get it right... it was also #like dyed like ombré? & the colors were a bit off. like each mitt had a different color like the weren’t even a pair...#but i was insisting too much like i undid & knitting that thing like +10 times #knitted*#so i decided so grab some yarn that i like for my mittens & that i’m already familiar with & found this pretty pattern & so!! ta-da!!#it’s so much nicer than the other one. also my friend wasn’t that specific & gave me a lot of liberty do to whatever #she gave me a general idea of the colors she liked so these are perfect #also the inspo pics she sent me all had this kinda fair isle design but at first i was a little intimidated so i barely did it on that one #first mitten that i had posted. so i’m glad i tried a diff pattern a managed to make these!!!!#anyway that’s basically what my month was all about lol worrying abt the mitts then finally finding a solution #also i got a commission from a instagram mutual to crochet a bag with that little sleepy snoopy design on it!! i’ve seen it on tumblr a few #times now & i’m excited to finish this project & finally get to it!! already bought the yarn & it’s so pretty #SO MANY TYPOS SORRY #girl knits world #knitting

Do you understand how impeccable the writing has to be for me to go feral over a canon m/f pairing??? Like it’s one thing for me to occasionally ship a m/f pairing that are never canon who I enjoy the potential unexplored dynamic for, but it’s so rare that I actually like canon m/f pairings, it’s basically the highest praise a writer can receive from me if I’m losing it over one

#I have a little theory that the reason why canon m/f ship dynamics in mainstream media are so lame is because they don’t have to try #to convince people of the couple being perfect together. they’ll just say Man? I really miss Loki. And not just any Loki, I wanna see my baby being pinned after, courted and chased bcoz you know what, he deserves it. He deserves to be appreciated and taken care of. Don't get me wrong, I love to see him as the one who is confident, makes the first move, is the one who falls first (and the angst. Oof, the angst is so delicious.)
