So I’m not actually caught up with the manga but I’m a nosy bitch and I gather one piece updates through the grapevine. Regarding the “Sanji calls Zoro a liability” moment, I’ve seen Chinese fans interpret it not as a “Sanji is acting ooc/mutating” moment but as Oda showing off the Zosan/wings dynamic yet again. Basically they say Sanji was having a Wife Moment aka “Zoro you have been dragging out this fight for way too long and I know you can do better and you’re also putting the entire crew in danger, I’m Actually Mad now and you should lock in.” Which is why Zoro didn’t talk back, he knew Sanji was right. Essentially Oda is telling us how zosan keep each other in check. Also these comments were made by Chinese dudebro readers so it’s not even a shipping goggles thing 🤣 Ofc they might not be reading the original Japanese and there’ll be translation misinterpretations yknow, I just like being delulu 🤭

Chinese fans are so fucking good with their analogies LMAO when Zoro was angry during Zou because Sanji left they compared it to being upset your wife has left the house without saying anything, and acting angry but actually being very worried about your wife FHJKSD like I am probably as delusional as you anon but the amount of times Chinese fans have compared Sanji to a frustrated wife is so funny because SOMETIMES...SOMETIMES IT MAKES SENSE DFJGHD

I really miss Loki. And not just any Loki, I wanna see my baby being pinned after, courted and chased bcoz you know what, he deserves it. He deserves to be appreciated and taken care of. Don't get me wrong, I love to see him as the one who is confident, makes the first move, is the one who falls first (and the angst. Oof, the angst is so delicious.) But I also wanna read about him getting the princess treatment. I love the range.

Day 4 of the ficlet challenge (which I am retroactively tagging as "ficlet challenge" starting now)

a scene from my never written AU inspired somewhat obliquely by the Koschei fairytale

The AU is definitely Dimitri/Felix but hey that's mostly a gen set-up (except, you know, Felix is being Felix). Somehow I always end up having some Felix & Rhea shenanigans

“And then you just… lost it ?”

Felix knows what the shared look between the former Archbishop and the Professor means. A touch of worry at the anger in his voice. A blank, accepting serenity, just a touch removed from the blood boiling under his skin. 

He wishes he was met with something else. It reminds him too much of the blank anger, of the empty eyes of the boar, the incomprehensibly cold void. 

(It reminds him of the way his father looked at him, understanding, without ever answering the way Felix sometimes wished he would answer - anger to anger, rushing past the point of no return, leaving him with no more excuses.)

Byleth shakes their head. “No. Not quite.”

“What do you mean, “not quite” ?!”

“I suspect Cornelia has used magic to throw us off while we are searching for his heart,” the Archbishop (the former Archbishop, he reminds himself, and she looks so much less imposing without the heavy coat and crown) says, soft and quiet. “With her dead, we cannot easily unravel it to pinpoint where she has hidden it.” With a shake of her head, she turns away from him, and he catches a glimpse of her hands shaking. 

She’s still... pale. Recovering from the horrors they had delivered her after marching on Enbarr, with a Dimitri who no longer knew what emotions were and yet still decided to be better than the haunted husk he had been. 

Felix doesn’t know what to think about her. 

(Doesn’t know what to think of the energy she has spent to help them, help him, help Dimitri, when she should be resting and recovering.)

“We have determined a probable location,” the Professor says, interrupting his thoughts. “But it could take months… maybe a year to even find it. We’re not even sure what she has hidden it in.”

“Leave it to me.”

“He wants you at his side,” Byleth reminds him, as if he doesn’t know, as if he can even understand why.

I don’t trust anyone else to do it beside Dedue, he almost says, but that truth burns his tongue. I need to get out of here before I suffocate, he almost says, but the lie twists his lips. 

“There’s no one else who can do it,” he settles on. It’s not quite the truth. But it is a truth. And perhaps that will be good enough for the two of them. For the three of them.

“Let me help you prepare.” 

He looks at the Archbishop. At Rhea. At this woman dressed down, still ill, and there is a spark in her eyes. 

“I know – I unfortunately know much about this magic. While I cannot come,” (and he is certain she knows he needs to do this alone, needs to do it when he has failed time and time again for five long years) “I can teach you what you need to know to find where she has hidden his heart.”
