Analysis time!!!!
(I'm bored! So here's me being completely sane about the possibility of a Boothill boss fight)
He'd have to have physical weakness, maybe also ice and.... lightning?
And there should definitely be 2 phases!
As an ally he's only does single attacks, able to trap a single enemy in a standoff
Maybe as an enemy he can also trap an ally in standoff so they can only attack him and the damage received might increase for both
Don't forget that his left arm is literally a freaking gun so maybe that's a heavier and more damaging attack
He also gains victories/ pocket trickshots as an ally, maybe as an enemy that could make his attacks more dangerous (instead of increasing energy) and allies would have to prevent him from gaining them?
Would he be able to hit more than one target as an enemy, maybe that could be for phase 2?
If not, would he be the only enemy in the boss fight, he's definitely the type to fight solo, Aventurine fought solo but even then, he could attack multiple targets and also that freaking dice roll phase!! Argenti could also attack multiple targets and had the help of damage boost and protective shields. Boothill is unpredictable though so who knows what tricks he'd have up his sleeves...

okay look, calming down - i understand why some people would want zelda to be a protagonist in like a totk-style 3d zelda. that would be great! the reason i predicted 2d for playable zelda is because its a smaller gamble for nintendo - imo, its realistically what we could get. especially at the end of the switch' life cycle AND so soon after totk.
BUT i'm very happy, for a few reasons:
1. it IS mainline zelda. its not called "triforce heroes" or "tingle's rosy rupeeland", its not a peach-style spinoff or side game. its a real zelda game. its called THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: ECHOES OF WISDOM. that alone, giving the mainline zelda brand prestige to this, IS a risk. and its one i super appreciate nintendo taking!!!
2. i disagree that just because it has the links awakening toy-style aesthetic, that automatically makes it a "lesser" or unserious game. links awakening IS a good game! its some peoples favorite! it added interesting lore to the zelda series, its a canon part of the timeline, its mechanically fun, and it has the fun psychological element of analyzing it in terms of links feelings about the dream. like how even the boss monsters are fearful of "dying", begging link not to destroy the island. which of course isn't "real" since its a dream, but its interesting that link would THINK that. also, marin 💔
3. like i said in the prediction post, this could be understood as a testfire for the concept. IF its as successful as any other 2d zelda game (and thats a big if! i already see people calling it more niche or for babies. i hope that doesnt catch on too much and depress hype 😞), maybe nintendo WILL see it as less of a gamble to make zelda the protagonist in a full-on, "serious" 3d title. nintendo is, after all, a business. trying it out with a smaller game makes total sense.
Tumblr media
also... it looks like a good game? when a link between worlds was released, everyone thought the wall merging ability was brilliant and a great way to turn 2d zelda into a more unique experience.
this, to me, looks to have similar potential!! the fact that zelda can essentially order enemies to fight for her and use her environment to think of intelligent solutions to any problem is very in-character! it's fitting both for a princess and for the bearer of the triforce of wisdom.
also, its not just building/environment traversal! she does fight!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
idk y'all, this looks like a great time to me! i don't know why people would presume its any "lesser" than any other 2d zelda... when we've literally seen another 2d zelda with this exact artstyle. and its an original game!! its not a remake!! :D

I wanted to make a last-minute prediction post based on what I’ve seen so far. I haven’t looked at new Dragon Age news for the past couple (3? 4?) weeks, and I know I’m (on purpose to avoid spoilers) missing some (probably a lot of) details that other people already know. I DON’T WANT TO KNOW. So if I’m already right or wrong about something,
PLEASE please DON’T TELL ME.
You can come back in a month and tell me THEN. It’s just one more month to wait.
Also, this is just for fun, and it’s not serious. It’s based on vibes and also based on what I would write myself. I have developed a surprisingly specific image of what might happen to Solas and I’m just want to write it down.
I’m thinking “there is no possible way this is right………” but then I’m like “unless…..?” so a vague chance of potential spoilers
First, I’ve been suspicious about the elven gods getting free and Solas being trapped. If you think about what Solas says in Trespasser, it’s very
Part of Solas’ aim that has so far been revealed to us is he likely wants the Veil torn down, and one of the only things that is keeping him from that is the reality of the elven gods trapped in there, who would be released.
Inquisitor: “If you destroyed the Veil, wouldn’t the false gods be freed?”
Solas: “I had plans.”
But that is no longer a concern from that moment in the gameplay trailer where they are released.
“I intend to restore them. Doing so will most likely destroy your world.”
Two elven gods rampaging across Thedas sounds like the kind of “the world is being destroyed” situation Solas was talking about. It is his incision that breached their prison, and it isn’t impossible that Rook may have been almost manipulated into completing it. I wonder if Solas is playing his two sets of enemies against each other yet again?
In the old tales, Solas uses his enemies to fight each other while he is tied to a tree, trapped. He gives both sides equal advice until they are both defeated, at which point he frees himself and finishes what he set out to do.
Honestly, even though he’s “trapped,” it sounds exactly like the sort of thing that needs to happen for his work to continue.
(All of this is speculation that I think I’ll have a better idea about once I hear the full first conversation with him, and exactly how he words his point of view of what happened. If he’s very squirrelly in his wording, I’ll know he may have caused it on purpose.)
“I seek regeneration,” he said in Vows & Vengeance. The devs had said that Solas has been bringing back magic for centuries before the series even started. Perhaps it explains why the dragons have returned. It seems that his reshaping the world, regenerating it, will be successful because it seems to be moving steadily without him. So maybe this is a last and, once in motion, inevitable step in “healing” the injured world.
I think that the elven gods are very scary and world-ending, but Solas is the only one of them that reshaped the world successfully. He will be the one to do it again, not Ghilan’nain or Elgar’nan or any other god. He is a trickster his, and Tricksters are the Gods of Inevitable (otherwise catastrophic) Change.
One of the greatest criticisms of Inquisition was the lack of screen time Corypheus had. And how the climax fell flat at the end because he didn’t have enough screen time. This leads me to believe that Solas may be the “Last Boss” of DA4. Because we definitely HAVE a complicated satisfying personal relationship with him that has been set up for two whole games.
So the ending for Solas needs to do a lot of things:
“These are the times in which legends are born or slain” Solas as the Dread Wolf will die
It needs to work for both people who love and hate Solas
In order to defeat the Elven Gods, Rook has to find their weakness, which is Solas’ weakness too (maybe a fatal flaw, or how they can be truly killed) so it can be used on Solas too. Perhaps this will involve Solas trying to obscure this from Rook as best as he can
Solas fully is on Rook’s side against the evanuris, but when they’re taken care of, he doesn’t need to team up anymore
I don’t believe that you will be able to stop Solas’ plans, and I hope that they will change Thgedas’ world no matter what. I hope it’s just a fact of life that the Veil comes down
The story basically needs to involve Solas betraying Rook again, because new players need to experience that feeling in order to be in the same place with him as they were in DA3
It needs to give players a torn situation about him, one that makes you feel he’s reasonable but at the same time make it satisfying to fight him. So I believe this is why he will betray the player again, even if he is getting along with them.
I believe there needs to be a boss fight against Solas because he does have a cool big monster form and people have been promised to be able to kill him
It needs to be satisfying for those who romanced him too, but it also needs to be beautifully sad because part of the draw of the romance compared to all the others in the series is that it’s beautifully sad
For that reason, I suspect (not because I particularly want this to happen, I’m just saying what I see most likely) is that fighting and killing Solas may not actually be optional, and he is killed in every worldstate. This way, everyone gets a last boss fight and everyone experiences pretty much the same story without much branching
I think the difference between friendly and unfriendly version may be whether he is brought back to life by the efforts of those who care about him after he is killed
So basically:
Veil comes down/magic comes back
Solas helps Rook take down evanuris
Solas betrays Rook when it seems the story should be over
Boss fight with Solas as the Dread Wolf (see: my Tulpa Theory)
Solas is defeated and killed
Story ends there if Solas is hated, (story about Rook getting revenge)
If Solas is loved, Solas is brought back and rebirthed in another freer form through a spirit ritual, perhaps as Wisdom, but some part of it is bittersweet like Rose and Doctor 10 (story about regret).
But basically, no matter how Solas and Lavellan’s story ends, their love enduring will be the path to joy, or them being together. Rook can kill Solas and Lavellan can bring him back. Even if it has to just happen off-screen or in fanfic.
I think it is very likely that Solas kills Varric or another character as a way to transition from passive threat to active threat. Or maybe Rook is responsible because of the theme of regret, idk. But I think we’ll get a great cathartic end for Varric probably.
I think we may have to choose between Varric and the Inquisitor, because it’s similar to the Hawke-Alistair choice
I would be very surprised if the story ended with Solas and Lavellan went off into the sunset together in a perfectly happy ending with nothing bittersweet. But sadly, I don’t really see this happening and I think bittersweet may be the name of the game.
Other things I predict:
We can assume that the Inquisitor will have an optional death scenario when they reappear, where we choose either to let them sacrifice themselves in some way, or save them. So perhaps there is an ending where Solas and Lavellan die together and can be free as spirits, which would also be bittersweet.
I don’t really have predictions for anything but Solas, so the big lore reveals might change the situation so much that none of this applies or makes sense anymore. In which case I will probably be HAVING FUN.
I am not EXPECTING any of this to happen, I am just writing it down and posting it in case I’m right. Anyway please wait until I’m done playing to tell me if I’m right or wrong, and this is just for fun, I wouldn’t mind if the whole game was completely different.

Right! I also wanted to talk about Deviljho.
I think Deviljho taught me the most out of any monster I fought. I fought it so, so much. It's way of skipping the rules made me learn how to fight much better, and the way it spends 10% of the fight normally and 90% angry meant I couldn't hit and run its angry phase, I had to learn to fight it angry, and the more aggressive you fight it, the better, because its tummy is very vulnerable during angry mode, in ways it is not when not angry. Meaning, meet its anger with aggression, and you not only end up with the most dynamic fight by far so far, you are fighting it right with plenty of damage potential.
Deviljho is extremely dishonest in its fighting, because it's an animal and it wants to eat. It fakes you out, has delays, it hunts the strong and the weak, and fights appropriately. It's so good.
By the time I was done fighting Jho for the 80th time, I went to Nergigante. I broke its back over my knee 60 times over with extreme ease. I think it has to do with Nergi being easy, but I definitely felt a much better player after my Deviljho Arc.
As for Nergigante, it's the Lady Maria of this game: Hyped up boss that is ultimately very easy because it fights too honestly and has no real mindgames: If you're in range, it will attack, if you are not, it will get in range, too straightforward, too honest, too aggressive in a predictable manner, easily outplayed, fun but ultimately too simple, especially when compared to Deviljho/Ludwig.

Crackshit theory/prediction part 2
So, following from here, let’s asume that if there’s a Sonic 5, it’s a Sonic 06 inspired story
Now, that includes Mephiles and Iblis, one of the two already in the movie universe by…
Tumblr media
This might look like it messes up with 06 lore badly but let me present to you:
Tumblr media
OK SO HEAR ME OUT-
Let me ask you something, have we ever seen movie Knuckles cry? EXACTLY.
And hey, both red characters, why not? I mean this is an easy way to avoid introducing Elise (I’m not hating on her. I’m just saying that- in an hypothetical Sonic 06 inspired movie, you’re already introducing mephiles and silver, reducing characters makes everything easier and better)
And lets be honest, it’s way harder to make Knuckles cry than Elise, so if the flames of disaster rules work the same then it’ll make the plot more interesting
Also how I imagine an hypothetical Sonic 5 movie inspired by Sonic 06 (this is less of a theory and more of my dream movie) (dream movie as in literally I dreamed about this) (I’m just detailing my dream in a coherent way)
Silver goes independently from Mephiles after Knuckles because he knows he has the flames if disaster, but mistakenly assumes that if he kills him his world will be saved
But that’s not convenient for Mephiles, because the flames of disaster need to be released by tears or else his plan won’t work, so he teams up with Silver and convinces him that the actual iblis trigger is Sonic. Because hey, those two are friends, right? He keeps the echidna alive and gets potential tears, two birds of one stone
And then stuff happens, I imagine that Shadow managed to independently from the rest make Silver realize he’s being manipulated and ditch Mephiles, so ups now he gotta do the dirty job himself (like in the game)
So then near the end of the movie we get
Tumblr media
But hey, plottwist, Knuckles actually doesn’t cry. He’s upset? More than anything. But again, not easy to make a warrior cry
So anyways Silver is like “Oh god what have I done” and goes up to knuckles to give him an apology for helping killing his friend. They get a heart-to-heart chat like Sonic and shadow did in Sonic 3- but another plot twist, that makes the guy cry and suddenly the flames of disaster are released
Anyways they revive Sonic because power of friendship and the master emerald and insert boss fight
The end

“Thy undead returns.”
You don’t ever recall seeing the Tarnished over and over again, but you have a feeling that you do. You feel as if you met this tarnished again and again. Some with the same face; other times not. It was if your mind simply couldn't remember how this, Tarnished keeps dying to your sword over and over again. The blood of the tarnished always fading off the metal as you reset to your place: standing proud and above those who wish to challenge you, for those who would dare collect your rune.
Awaiting the first move of the Tarnished. You could only watch as the Tarnished seems to observe you at first. How their helmet seems to move a bit like a twitch, their eyes looking you up and down, having yet to ready their own weapon. It was... curious. Not many go in slow from what you gather from the past: way before the fall of the Lands Between. They go in fast, trying to make themselves unpredictable. There were the heavies, but they were almost too predictable. You could go forward and make them think you were attacking, baiting them before giving your own slice of attack. Your sword nearly cutting them in half if it weren't for their heavy armor too. You found quickly enough however, you didn't like those potions they used to... heal themselves? It was atrocious on how many things they had. That included those blue ones too.
Then, you sidestep a quick, testing swipe from the Tarnished. A hum leaving you as you make your own attack to side swipe the Tarnished with your sword as they block it was ease as if... as if they had expected such from you. Was it possible from just letting the Tarnished observe you for a moment... they had patterned you down? You haven't heard of such a skill being born within the realm unless you count the spells, but this? This was skill. This... this was a battle to be honored. You can tell with how the Tarnished holds beneath you, taking your weight, your force of attack. There was a little wobble, but it was clear not to underestimate this Tarnished as they hold you away with one hand; one sword.
Jumping back with grace. You allow the Tarnished to breathe for a second as you do. Your eyes following the Tarnished every movement now after quickly understanding this wasn't someone to just dismiss in the midst of battle. This was someone to potentially honor. That is if they don't play dirty as you two circle one another, calculating one another; testing one another with little swipes, it was almost amusing... like a Erdtree Burial Watchdog's playing with their stone tails...
Getting a bit tired with the play however, you summon some Incantations for the Tarnished to play with while you observe how they fight. Never coming forward to take a greedy hit when their focus shifts to the summoned incantations. Their moves confident as they take them on and it... interests you. They have full trust in you not to attack them while they take care of the Incantations. Then it comes to a realization to you.
They know you.
They know how you move, how you operate and attack. They have been reading your body language. They have been studying you. You are not sure how, but you know they have been. That much is clear with how well they block you, carry you and trust you to keep yourself at bay while they deal with the Incantations. It was if... they have fought you before, but you're sure you would remember such a skill from a Tarnished. How could you nought? How could you forget how the Tarnished moves with grace themselves? How they thrust their weapon? How they twist and turn as if they are dancing with who they are fighting with? It... it was remarkable. Something you haven't seen in ages, maybe even eons?
You narrowly doge an attack from the Tarnished when they have defeated your Incantations. You own sword flicking at the ready and swiping forward: the tip of it sparking against their breast plate. It was up most unfortunate you needed to fight this warrior; to keep them at bay themselves. You would have respected this Tarnished a lot more than as your enemy. Perhaps, you would have even trained them, but they are still your enemy. It was disappointing.
The battle continues to grow between you and the Tarnished. Your disappointment of your position rising within you, causing your attacks to more bold, more heavy and powerful as you avoid their own flurry of precise attacks. It was honestly a battle to come and see. Grace upon grace, block upon hit; blood upon blood. You have noticed how the Tarnished was confident enough not to even use their little potions of healing nor those little blue ones or gold ones. They were simply enduring what you would hit them with, and you're not sure if you should be flattered by the display or not. Yet, you can't afford a distraction with this talented Tarnished. They were growing with eerie, calm power. Not a grunt leaving them when you land a hit on them and that part was throwing you off a little. No noise of pain was coming through the Tarnished helmet.
Was it because this Tarnished wasn't even a humanoid? Was it because you suddenly have become so focused on the battle that you didn't realize how low you've become? How you were on your knees, kneeling before the Tarnished with your sword: the only thing holding up the rest of your dignity as your own blood seeps between the joints of your armor, near your stomach while your gauntlets try to grasp at the sword embedded there? Harsh breaths leaving you while your own heart finally pounds in your ears after many days lost to counting?
You can sense the Tarnished beneath you. Their aura of warmth overthrowing your own while you curl around them, still kneeling as they look up at you. Feeling how your blood drips from your own helmet and onto theirs. Your mind spiraling with exhausting adrenaline after centuries of the most boring fights that- this Tarnished has changed. The Tarnished has made you feel dread, fear once again.
Then... it all stops. Your breath, your heart; the pounding in your head... and it's replaced with... warmth? You should not be blossoming with warmth, but the familiar hands of death. You should be feeling cold, abandoned, left for the dead to collect! Not warmth!
It takes you a moment to even recognize what was happing to you. Your own breath catching double time in your throat as you look down to see the Tarnished has disregarded your helmet and have partially lifted up their own. Their scarred lips taking in your bloody ones with such gentleness you haven't known of since the first dawn of your birth. It leaves you confused, wondering, frustrated then a wave of calamity. Your fading body relaxing into the Tarnished, accepting their strange way of dealing with your death. A few broken words leaving your lips and onto theirs as you feel yourself dissolving into the void, into the rune for the Tarnished to collect.
"Thank you... Tarnished."

A New End: Dust
Tumblr media
Tomura Shigaraki x Reader
Spoilers: Kamino Ward through Overhaul's Debut Contains: gn/eventual afab reader, angst, canon typical violence, cussing, eventual smut in the series
previous - this is part 3
[series masterlist]
Tumblr media
|\/\/\| dust |/\/\/|
A damp concrete floor meets your back. Someone's leg moves under your shoulder before another body lands square on top of you. The warp gate closes, leaving you in this dimly lit place. Everyone scrambles to extricate themselves. You’re still woozy from hitting your head and you think you might throw up.
In the tangle of limbs, you see Shigaraki’s icy blue hair. In spite of his requests begs to stay and help, he was sent to this rundown building with the rest of you.
“Is anyone hurt? Get off of me!” yells Twice.
No one responds, which you take as a good sign. As soon as everyone's up and moving, you begin assessing the situation.
The old hideout is compromised.
You can't go back.
Or maybe you can? Shigaraki's sensei will take care of it, right?
The air is thick with tension as you all wait for an update, not really sure what you're expecting. Those of you who had phones on you are glued to them.
It's live on every news site: All Might vs. All For One. Is that who Shigaraki’s master is? You've heard of him, but you can't quite place it. Your head is still pounding.
“What's going to happen?” Shigaraki's gravelly voice echoes from across the massive warehouse.
“I-I don't know yet.”
And that’s true. Your decisions and those of the people around you landed you all here. Your quirk always feels selfish, only showing you outcomes you will have an emotional response to. You can't say for sure what will happen to his sensei because you don't know him, but you'd be willing to guess it's not about to change the outcome for any of you. That's not something you're going to say out loud though.
He senses your unease, probably knowing the implications but he tries to ignore it.
Minutes later, a new headline flashes across your screens.
That's it.
You resign yourself to this new development faster than most of the others, there's nothing any of you can do about it right now. Dabi and Toga adjust quickly as well, you get the feeling both of them have survived a lot of massive changes in life.
At least you're all wearing somewhat warm clothes. Still, you're glad it's summer and the cool nights aren't too harsh yet.
Emptying your pockets, you have a phone but no charger. $14 in cash. And a key to the building none of you can safely return to.
The others are doing the same, minus Dabi who has never seems to have more than a phone on him at any given time.
Shigaraki is counting his hands. His fully visible face somehow looking both repulsed by them and concerned for their safety. You're not sure what to make of that.
No one has any medications. It doesn't take your quirk to know that's a recipe for disaster in this group. There are already talks between Dabi and Magne about robbing a pharmacy.
The shock persists over the next few hours before it's decided you should all try to get some sleep. You lay on the ground near Magne and try to get some rest.
Instead, the silence only gives you time to overthink. This is the type of situation your boss has you around to prevent, but you couldn't predict the decisions that led here in time to do anything about them. Still, he didn't send you away. Shoving you through the gate to safety instead. In spite of his coldness, he at least cares enough to keep you alive. Or maybe he still just sees your quirk as potentially useful. Regardless of why he did it, you want to thank him, but tonight hasn't felt like the right time.
He's been uncharacteristically quiet, mostly keeping to himself all night. Now, carrying the guilt of being the reason for his master's downfall. You hear him mumbling in the small stints of sleep he does get. How he should have done better. Not gotten caught. If only he'd been there in the last moments of the fight.
You wish there was something you could say to make him feel better. But no magical words come to mind and morning arrives quickly.
In the light of dawn, you can see that this is an old factory that's no longer in use. While exploring, you find a bathroom to wash up in but without toiletries or fresh clothes to change into, there's no use.
As much as you've spent your life trying not to overvalue material objects, you have to admit that you quickly find yourself missing a few things. The hoodie you got at a concert last year. The worn underwear that fit your hips just right. The ticket stub you'd been using as a bookmark for years. Books you haven't finished. Your toothbrush. Anything resembling hygiene or skin care for that matter.
You can’t replace everything, but you’ll try to find substitutes for some of it. The group comes up with a list and nominates you and Compress to go to the store (the two least recognizable with the most useful combination of quirks for the job.)
Tumblr media
Over the next few weeks, life begins to normalize - if you could call it that. With a few adjustments, your makeshift shelter becomes more habitable. You have some time to explore the abandoned buildings nearby. Most of the others resume recruiting new members. And the all too familiar feeling of dread overtakes you once more.
The cold, damp space has taken its toll on everyone’s health. There’s constantly someone coughing, it’s become background noise at this point. The illness has even infected your dreams, filling your half-sleepless nights with visions of a medieval plague doctor. You aren’t the only one who struggles to sleep though.
Prior to this month, you thought you’d gotten to know the league pretty well. At least, during the day. You’ve recently been finding everyone’s tiny habits and schedules are drastically different when you’re all placed in the same cavernous room together. Toga clicks her pen repeatedly while considering what to write next in her heart-covered diary.
You’re sitting on your thin roll-up bed, trying to read a book you picked up on your last store trip. You’ve been trying to read it for a week now, making it 34 pages from having to go over every paragraph at least three times with the amount of interruptions you’ve encountered.
“Stop clicking,” Magne finally snaps, “I’m trying to *cough* sleep here.”
Everything is silent for a moment, with the exception of the water dripping from the leaky roof. You’ve come to appreciate Magne, the more you’ve gotten to know her. She’s usually pretty laid back but keeps everyone in check when needed.
Nights are easier. Most of the league is out at night anyways, making it a bit more quiet. Compress always has somewhere important to be. Dabi never gets home before four am. Not that he makes much noise, you’ve surprisingly found him to be one of the more quiet ones.
Shigaraki resumes shuffling around the space. Lately, he’s been doing this every night instead of sleeping. Sometimes he’ll sit near you, not making conversation, just existing. You don’t mind, in spite of his prickly personality having him around is oddly comforting. Plus, as much as you’ve been trying to bury your feelings, he’s been wearing the hands less when it’s just a few of you around and you’re not about to complain about getting to see his face more often.
Like every night, Twice gives everyone who’s still awake a quick wave and flips you off before walking out the door to track down the new recruits he’s mentioned.
“I get a bad feeling every time he leaves,” you mutter to Shigaraki, whose evening pacing brought him to your corner.
“Just a feeling?” he asks, looking more bored than concerned.
“Yeah, but -”
“I can’t do anything with a feeling. Tell me when it’s less vague,” he says before walking away.
Closing your book, you lay down, resigned. You try to focus on the sound of his steps. The resuming of Toga’s pen clicking. Magne’s echoing coughs. The sound of your own breath. Yet, you still can’t get it out of your head.
What if it’s too late?
Tumblr media
The next afternoon, you’re sent out shopping again. This time, by yourself. Even Compress has been getting recognized more often lately, so it's up to you to gather supplies for the group. You walk around the room, collecting small scraps of paper with people’s lists on them. Compress, Spinner, and Magne are the first to finish theirs. Toga’s is bulleted with hearts. Twice scribbled a few things in writing you are still learning to make out. Dabi is curled up on one of the platforms hanging from the rafters, fast asleep. You let him rest, his list is always the same anyways: soba noodles and a bottle of aloe vera.
Taking some cash out of the stack of charred wallets Dabi left by the door when he came home this morning, you glance at Shigaraki to see if he has a list. He never does. Instead, he walks you out.
“Try to get green tea, if you can,” he says as you exit to the almost too bright road, “and ohagi, if they have it anywhere. It’s still early.”
“Yeah, I’ll look,” you say, admiring how nice he looks in the sunlight. “Anything else?”
“Nope,” he responds before turning abruptly and closing the door behind you.
With how far out of town you are, the walk takes a while. The sun is setting when you begin the return, hands now filled with shopping bags. Your fingers are raw from the handles digging into your skin. You’re about five blocks out when you realize the feeling in the pit of your stomach has been getting worse all night. That has to mean something. Quickening your pace, you break into a run.
Suddenly, your vision is clouded and there’s nothing but the plague doctor from your dreams and dust? Something worse. Every bone in your body is aching with grief. It takes all your will to not throw up. The supplies lie forgotten near your feet as you clumsily dial the numbers on your phone through your tear blurred vision.
Shigaraki.
Dabi.
Twice.
No one answers. You call Magne, only for it to go directly to voicemail without a single ring. Having already seen what that means, you fall to the sidewalk sobbing.
It’s only September, but the cool night air sends chills across your skin. You should have worn a jacket. Even now, you should walk back to the warehouse. It’s only a few blocks to go, but you don’t have it in you to make it there. Not yet.
A while later, a shadow looms overhead.
“Get up,” Shigaraki grumbles. “We’ve all had a long night and you need to get out of the cold.” You glare up at him. With a sigh, his shoulders drop. “Come on,” he groans, “let’s talk about it.”
Decaying the door behind you in an instant, he pulls you to your feet and pushes you through the entry. His red eyes peer into yours, waiting for you to say something.
“I could have stopped that,” you cry, “I told you I had a bad feeling about this.”
He kicks some debris out of the way to walk further into the room.
“I’m doing my best, but you have to actually listen to me!” you scream, knowing you’re probably taking more out on him than necessary but you can’t find a way to stop yourself. He makes no attempt to quiet you.
“And you’re always harsher on me than everyone else, why?” you continue. You know you won’t get a satisfying answer out of him, but the words keep spilling out. “Do you hate me or something?”
“Why does it matter?” he spits back at you.
So many thoughts come to mind, most telling you to drop it. But the question still hangs unanswered, taunting you. You know he’ll continue to deflect until you have a solid logical reason.
“My quirk only works for events I have an emotional tie to, it helps to know where I stand with people. It helps me decide what’s relevant,” you say as calmly as you can manage, voice still wavering.
The silence between the two of you is thick.
“No,” he pauses to consider his next words carefully, “I don’t hate you.”
“Could have fooled me,” you mumble. After another moment of silence, he glares at you then continues.
“I really don’t hate you. It’s - there’s something about you that makes me wish my life was different. And it pisses me off.”
“Oh?” What the fuck does that mean? “You’re here tonight though and you haven’t dusted me, so I guess I don’t piss you off too much.”
“Guess not,” he flinches before shrugging, still not looking directly at you.
“What exactly do you mean when you say I make you wish your life was different? Did I fuck everything up for you that bad?”
“No,” he swiftly dismisses the idea, hands waving in front of him. “It’s not like that, it’s just…”
He takes a step closer to you, cheeks dusted with a blush you hadn’t noticed until now. At this distance, all you can think about is how amazing his lips look. How easy it would be to lean in and kiss him. Part of you is upset for thinking about something so trivial at a time like this until you realize he’s staring at you the same way. Your vision clouds, but only slightly. Premonitions overlap each other, softly tinting reality like double exposed film. They’re all moving too quickly to catch any of the possibilities, nothing sticks.
“Hey,” Toga’s saccharine sweet voice cuts through the air, “we just came to, uhm, check on you.”
Twice jumps in without thinking, “We heard you arguing from down the street then it got too quiet,” before abruptly adding, “is [y/n] okay??”
Shigaraki groans. “Why does everyone think I’m going to- ugh fucking nevermind,” his fists tightly grip the sleeves of his jacket, sans thumb, as he turns and walks out the door. Quickly, you all follow, finding him pacing on the sidewalk while feverishly scratching his neck.
Toga and Twice are happy to carry the groceries back while you trail behind.
The back of Shigaraki’s hand bumps your wrist, drawing your attention.
“I wouldn’t do that,” he mumbles under his breath, “just so you know.” It takes a moment to remember what he’s referring to. He has his fingers wrapped in his jacket, hands tucked close to him. For the first time, he looks almost uncomfortable with his quirk.
Suddenly, you realize what he meant when he said you make him wish his life could be different.

I bring thee a couple of my Hundred Line predictions
#1: Out of all of Kodaka and Uchikoshi's protagonists, Takumi is ultimately going to be the most like Junpei, in terms of being an active force within the narrative, who is, though reluctantly, often willing to put the well-being of his friends aside in search of his own goals, and who tends to solve his problems in a very roundabout, scheming way rather than acting as a straightforward hero figure. #2: There will be a route during which Takumi's protectiveness over Nozomi makes her fall for him, which convinces her that she really is this "Karua" person that Takumi insists she is, because someone as diligent and responsible as herself surely couldn't catch feelings for someone she'd just met. Thus, she reasons that Takumi must be someone her subconscious mind is already familiar with. #3: The "Nozomi Route" turns sour when the two of them start to get intimate, due to Takumi realizing that Nozomi lacks the abdominal scar that Karua possesses. The realization that he'd essentially gaslit a stranger into thinking she's his childhood friend, just to fill a void in his own heart, is too much for him to bear, and he refuses to talk to Nozomi out of guilt, leaving her feeling abandoned and confused. #4: The famous "Eito CG" we're presumably all familiar with isn't an actual event in the game, but rather a dream sequence had by Takumi during a route where he and Eito are particularly close, when he is beginning to come to terms with how he feels about him. There is, however, a slightly less "Toko's Fantasy-esque" CG of Takumi and Eito sharing a kiss later on during said route. #5: Shouma's relationship with Kyoshika will be very important to his character development. As someone whose knowledge of the world comes almost entirely from manga, she is almost destined to take an interest in Mr. Massive Loser Who Doesn't Believe In Himself But Is Probably Secretly Awesome And Also His Hemoanima Weapon Is A Mecha How Sick Is That. Shouma, while confused, would be moved by her undying dedication to bringing out his potential, and start applying himself towards meeting her expectations. This'll then lead to him disproving his own insecurities and learning to love himself. #6: The reason the students from the Second-to-Last Defense Academy are transferred over to the LDA is because their school has been destroyed, and they're the last survivors of it. Moko was taken by the School Invaders during the siege, and we first meet her as a boss fight in her half-Commanderified state. After the fight, we are given a choice between attempting to un-corrupt her, or putting her out of her misery via Finishing Blow. #7: The "Save Moko Route" is quite risky due to the amount of effort required to keep the corruption she'd endured at bay. This leads to a bit of a resource management element being added to the game, as you are required to dedicate a lot of your Free Time and earned crafting materials towards Moko's recovery and prevent a bad ending. This route is where the "Moko in bed" CG happens, and the "Nozomi hugging Moko" CG marks her being successfully saved. #8: The "Kill Moko Route" results in a massive wedge being thrust between the LDA and 2LDA students. This route is very Hiruko-focused, as it deals with her coming to the realization that her purely utilitarian and unempathetic approach to leadership will ultimately end up harming the overall group. The route also may or may not feature an Uchikoshi Infodump™ about the Milgram Experiment.

okay it's time for a lil speculation about the Kalos-ian variants of Pokemon Legends: Z-A's starter pokemon
Tumblr media
the previous Legends game - Arceus - came with regional Hisuian variants of the game's starter pokemon. there's no guarantee that Z-A will also give us regional variants, especially since mega-evolutions are already returning, BUT regional variants have become a huge part of the pokemon formula and i think it's reasonable enough to assume that they'll return. SO, the question becomes: what will those variants be?
well, first take a look at the Hisuian starters.
Tumblr media
so obviously these guys were very thematically designed to match a historic setting, both in the choice of starter and their new secondary typing: Samurott is a samurai pokemon with a dark typing for the dark-ish ages, Decidueye is an archer with a more brutish fighting type, and Typhlosion... well, Johtonian Typhlosian is kinda just some mammal, but Hisuian Typhlosian is some kind of ghostly spirit or psychopomp representing funerary mythology. to put a point to this: the starters were designed primarily to match the theme of the game
now, Z-A is about urban redevelopment
Tumblr media
not necessarily "futuristic", at least, not to the extent of the future paradox pokemon, but certainly modern and techy. the game is specifically themed around the integration of pokemon into an urban habitat.
immediately, a few types jump out as uniquely fitting: electric, steel, and poison (potentially less obvious, but consider how many poison pokemon are based around waste or pollution). i want to use these prospective types to make some predictions about the fully evolved regional variants' typing and theming:
Feraligatr
water/poison sewer crocodile. that's it. i mean, it just works so well that i want it to be true regardless.
Emboar
it's much more of a toss up between electric and steel for the other two, but i predit that Emboar will be a Fire/Steel type based on some sort of "boss" archetype, whether it be of corporate, mob, or gang variety. my idea is that steel could be used to represent money, like Gholdengo. i think it could be cool.
Meganium
electric is the last secondary typing left for Meganium. i could really see it being a Grass/Steel type to fit a solar punk aesthetic, but electric could totally fit too. it could be themed around solar panels, or more generally, renewable/"green" energy. that sounds sick.
ok yeah that's it. nothing huge, but i thought it would be cool to make these predictions and see how wrong i am whenever Z-A releases

lewis hamilton is interviewed during the press conference on media day, canada - june 6, 2024 (transcript under the cut)
Interviewer: "Lewis, let's come to you now. Back to the scene of your first Forula 1 victory and six subsequent ones, as well. You've always gone well here. What is it about this place?" Lewis: "I don't know. Hi, everyone. I think it's probably just kind of a street circuit, and a bit like a go kart track-long straights-so it's a track that bodes well for late brakers, and someone that's aggressive, I guess; aggressive driving style." Interviewer: "And is that you?" Lewis: "I think I've had an aggressive driving style for a long time, yeah." Interviewer: "Look, tell us about the car and your chances this weekend. The team is telling us that you're making a lot of progress in recent races. Are you feeling that in the cockpit?" Lewis: "Yes. Yeah, the car's continuing to improve. I think everyone's obviously taking that step hopefully closer to the Red Bulls, and I think that's been really positive. But incredibly proud of everyone back at the factory, just how hard everyone's working and how resilient everyone is, and everyone's just staying very focused, head down, and the morale's really great in the team, so I'm hoping that we can get closer to these guys and start actually competing at the front with these." Interviewer: "Do you think that's actually possible this weekend? Is a podium on the horizon?" Lewis: "I don't think it's far away, and so we've got the upgrade. Both cars have the upgrade this weekend, so I'm looking forward to seeing how that feels actually on track." Interviewer: "You've got the new front wing. Gonna out-qualify George this weekend?" Lewis: "I'm gonna try." Interviewer: [laughs] "Alright. Well done, Lewis. Good luck." [time jump] Journalist [Nelson Valkenburg, Viaplay]: "Question for Lewis. Lewis, you already spoke about the improved potential of the car and the way that it's heading. What aspect of the car is improving, and what is then needed more to be able to fight for the podium?" Lewis: "The biggest improvement, I think, coming into this year has been ride quality and being able to get the car lower, which is what others have been able to do, and then stability on entry of corners. The car's far more predictable than it ever was, particularly the last couple of years, and particularly this year it's a lot more stable, so we can be a lot more committed into the corners. But then through-corner balance is where we've been lacking, as where some of the others have really taken a big step, so that's what we're trying to work on." Interviewer: "Thanks, Lewis. Any more? Yep." Journalist [Roldán Rodriguez, DAZN Spain]: "To Lewis, as well: In the contract with Ferrari for next year, the question is, was Frederic Vasseur, a man you know pretty well, directly involved in your contract?" Lewis: "Yes." Journalist: "Yeah. Good." Lewis: "Yeah, he's the boss, and really a huge amount of support from John Elkann, who I've got a great relationship with, and so with those two together, Fred and John, we worked really closely."

Open requests you say?
I have two but I’ll start with the one that’s more predictable of me, I beg you for feral R/n putting Graves in the hospital/the aftermath of that bc fuck that man
This is purely fuelled from my hatred of Graves so do what you want with this 🫧
A/N: Imagine a deep voice...Calling it:
The injury- Philip Graves
A shadow: So boss, how'd you end up in here?
Graves, who is in a hospital bed: 141's Grim, that fucker did-
The nurse walks in with a bouquet of black flowers: A friend left these
Note on the flowers: Enjoy the rest, I'm sure you'll need time to recover and after you do, I'll fucking do it again - Grim XOXO
Shadow: Sir, what's wrong?
Graves: fucking throw this for me
-Flashback-
Soap: You are a betraying fucking-
Grim runs and tackles Graves. Began to punch him, and bit his ankle by accident, almost blackout from how angry they were.
Graves is screaming and trying to fight you off, but no one does anything instead they stand there and watch. Ghost records the whole thing for potential blackmail, you are laughing and are creeping out the kids who wanted to visit base.
Your fist to his face and he blacked out.
-End of Flashback-
Shadow: Sir?
Graves: Never ask me about that day.

Hi there!! I'm so thrilled to hear your thoughts on this topic too! This is actually my first time sending an ask, and since English isn't my first language, please forgive my dry tone or if some of my sentences seem confusing in anyway 😭
Anyway, back to the topic. I only recently learned about the long list of APTX 4869 victims. Previously, I thought the victims were just Haneda Kohji, Amanda, Mary, Shinichi, and Shiho. While it’s true that APTX 4869 was tested on many others, most of them seem to have died (I think?) and Shinichi and Sherry are the only and two latest known survivors of APTX 4869, plus the key point is that Gin and the boss were aware that Shinichi and Sherry were still alive, yet they still gave the drug to Mary. This makes me believe that they didn’t intend for Mary to die either.
About familial genes, I admit my knowledge on that topic is very shallow, and I honestly don't know much about it so I completely agree with your perspective. Also, don’t worry—you understood my points perfectly. I just suck at biology I’m sorry 😭😭😭
As for the idea of ensuring a direct connection to Sherry through family ties, I actually thought the same as you. Sherry is emotionally unpredictable, so it's hard to predict how she might react. And yes, it’s very juicyy that Sherry herself knows that Gin understand her better than anyone else. Let me elaborate:
Gin’s ability to recognize Sherry from a strand of hair or her presence alone suggests he knows her down to the smallest details—possibly even the sound of her breathing. Initially, I thought this detail was exaggerated, but then I remembered how my mom can recognize whose hair is whose in our house. When she sees a messy strand, she scolds me, and I always ask, “How do you know it’s mine?” She’ll respond, “I can just tell!”
This makes me wonder if Gin could have been the person the Boss assigned to care for Sherry when she was young. After all, her parents passed away when she was just born, and her older sister was only about six or seven at the time. The organization likely wouldn't have left the sisters alone to care for each other. Their goal in raising Sherry was for her to continue her parents' research. To achieve that, the organization would’ve needed to carefully nurture her scientific potential. Japan, known for cultivating young geniuses, would likely have had a structured process in place.
The boss would have had to assign Sherry’s upbringing to a highly trusted member. Judging from the personalities of the Organization members we know so far, aside from Vermouth, only Gin stands out as meticulous, calm, and reliable enough for this task. And since the Organization’s priority was her scientific training, teaching Sherry to use weapons or fight wouldn’t have been necessary. An obedient Sherry who couldn’t defend herself would have been easier to control. However, Sherry turned out to be a skilled shooter (as shown in Volume 18, File 178), and it’s likely Gin was the one who trained her. His shooting skills must be on par with Akai’s.
Even as a child, Sherry shows fear whenever she senses the presence of BO. She once mentioned they knew what she looked like as a child. But, interestingly, in similar scenarios, Mouri and Doctor Agasa didn’t immediately recognize Shinichi when he was shrunk. This implies that even if Sherry met some Organization members when she was young, those encounters would have been rare because each member had different missions. Many of them may not have even met her.
From this, it seems that the one person Sherry feared recognizing her child form—the person who had been with her throughout her life and could identify her by a single strand of hair—was Gin.
I hadn’t considered the possibility that Mary and Gin might be siblings, as I remember Mary is about 20 years older than Gin. That’s why I lean more toward the theory that Mary is Gin’s mother. The thought of people speculating about their possible relationship cracks me up every single time—it’s such a wild idea, but it would be entertaining for sure 😂
And also, I’ve often wondered, like you, why Shinichi and Sherry haven’t been caught yet despite the immense risks they’ve taken. It’s important to remember that BO and Gin aren’t our usual murderers (I'd be happy to explain this if you're intrigued ^^). The only and most plausible explanation might lie in Sherry’s antidote.
Thank you so much for discussing these fascinating, brain-exploding theories with me. I’m genuinely happy to share thoughts on many interesting topic. Have a great day!
Hi again anon! Bit of a late reply but yesterday was really busy fjdjgfj
Also, no worries about your English, it's great! And welcome to the non-native speakers gang hell yeah <3333
CW: brief mentions of grooming in general, and implications of SA in regards to Gin and Sherry (whether we like it or not, the subtext is unfortunately there).
I'll admit, I hadn't considered the possibility of Gin being Shiho's sole "caretaker" while she grew up, but considering the fact that (based on what little she lets slip about her life before taking the APTX) it pretty much feels like she may have been meticulously groomed to fill her position as Sherry ever since she was a child, it does kind of make sense that there'd be someone she was "assigned" to.
Gin being the one Shiho is most terrified of, despite the fact that Vermouth is also right there and pretty much seems to have beef with all of the Miyanos (not to say she's not scared of Vermouth, but I'm fairly sure Gin has her beat on Shiho's fear scale), could imply a slew of pretty fucked up things aside from the usual "this guy will hunt traitors down personally and shoot them in the head". Because yes, that's scary, but every codenamed BO member is capable of it. Some of them even take pleasure in killing people, just like Gin seems to.
The fact that Shiho has this visceral of a reaction only when Gin specifically is brought up (or is nearby) could be indicative of much worse things having happened to her when she was young, and although there is no actual confirmation of this (and there will most likely never be), it really can't be denied that the subtext hinting at it exists, whether that's intentional or not.
Alternatively, it could be because she associates with Gin most of her memories as a BO member: as those have been a very taxing 18 years culminating in the loss of her sister (at the hands of Gin himself, even), she may have somehow pushed everything she'd so far repressed onto Gin (if we still operate on the assumption that he either pretty much raised her or was a supervisor she had to spend time with on the regular), hence the spike in fear regarding him only and the disproportionate gap between that and the amount of fear she experiences when detecting other BO members. I'm not quite sure that's possible from a psychological standpoint, but brains are very weird, so maybe it is.
Admittedly, my knowledge of canon information regarding Gin is a bit lacking, so he might really be too young to be Mary's brother (although we do have a 15 years gap between Masumi and Shuuichi, so maybe we could reach 20 with the platinum blonds if we believe in the heart of the cards /silly), but it's just too funny of a possibility for me to completely discard it. I believe in the Cain Instinct Theory <3
Thank you so much for sharing all these thoughts with me! I'd love to hear more— whether through asks or DMs, either is fine with me, but pick whichever you're more comfortable with—, I love yapping about detco as you can probably tell djsjfkdkf
And a great day to you too💚

ifyou2 were unlockable characters in an rpg what would your quest be in order for you guys 2join the party !!!!! + what would your bonus quests be that increase your friendship !!!
i don't play a lot of rpg games but let me think a little bit.
seijuro's type of quest would be a boss battle and a strategy challenge. the player arrives in rakuzan, a grand imperial city (where both me and sei come from), where seijuro rules as a feared but respected strategist and leader.
he refuses to join "weaklings", so the player must prove themselves by defeating him in a duel—not just through raw strength but also by predicting his movements and countering his commands. the battle is more of a mind game than a physical fight! it feels uncanny for sei to lose, since he's never really lost, so it'd be a matter of "outsmarting" him or "surprising" him. as in, if you predict his moves or something of the sort.
if the player outsmarts him or impresses him, he acknowledges their potential and joins as a master strategist and elite warrior. if the player fails, they are dismissed outright, unless they can present an artifact of great value or complete a difficult mission to prove their worth...
as a character, he grants battle buffs based on strategy. he's also a duelist, excelling in one-on-one combat. once again, mind control abilities, as in he can manipulate enemy behavior.
as for me, it'd be a little different.
instead of fighting, my challenge is: the player must successfully complete a stealth mission alongside me, proving they understand and value my abilities.
if the player acknowledges my mental strength, i agree to join the party. also, if sei is on the team, there is a higher likelihood of me joining. if the player ignores or belittles me, i vanish, refusing to work with them again.
i'd have assassin skills -- high critical hit rate on unsuspecting enemies.
together, me and sei would be an unstoppable duo! while sei controls the battlefield with strategy, i'd be eliminating the treaths.
i think that's all i have for now! once again, i don't really play a lot of rpg.
here's sei as a rpg character!!

Here is part 2 (final) of my Oathbound predictions. Feel free to comment if you agree or disagree (no hurt feelings 🙂). I also want to hear your own predictions. March 2025 is so far 😫 😔
Again, there will be potential spoilers from the first two books so please ignore this post if you are not caught up.
My predictions (not in any order):
1. There will be a time skip (around 3- 6 months) that will happen after Part 1 or Part 2.
2. Alice will be awaken from her coma during Part 2. And how? She will be unofficially oath to William by becoming his squire. They will be bonded by Lark.
3. Speaking of Lark, him and William will become close and end up as a couple 🥰
4. Bree will learn more about the Shadow King especially his weaknesses and maybe his past. The Shadow King will uncharacteristically become nicer to Bree as time goes on until she escapes with his wards (the twins, Zoelle and Elijah).
5. We will learn that the twins (along with Sel and Valec) are the Shadow King's children. The Shadow King might have fathered many children throughout his time "impersonating" humans.
6. The Morgaines will play a bigger role in helping Nick defeat and destroy the Regents. We will learn more about the Morgaines through Nick's pov.
7. The Rootcrafters might end up becoming another powerful ally in helping to defeat the Regents. There might also be another magical group that will also join the effort.
8. Selwyn will turn back to normal or as normal as possible thanks to Natasia. We will learn how she cured Sel and herself from succumbing to their demons. Hint: Root (Faye's root). After Sel is cured, he and Natasia will be united with Nick and the rest of the Legendborn.
9. Bree will successfully escape during Part 3 and have an emotional reunion with Nick then Sel and eventually Natasia. Natasia will be in tears when she sees Bree by being reminded of Faye (the best friend Natasia loved so dearly).
10. After the reunion, the dynamic trio (Bree, Nick, and Sel) will deal with the elephant in the room which is the kiss shared between Bree and Sel back in Bloodmarked. Nick will eventually find out by either Bree or Sel confessing out of guilt. There might be a fight between Nick and Sel started by Nick out of anger and Bree will be caught in the middle. This may or may not be resolved before the final battle.
11. The Shadow King is furious upon learning Bree's escape and will hunt her down. Bree and her allies will prepare for an epic battle against either the Regents or the Shadow King.
12. Bree and her allies will win the final battle but without enduring losses...one heavy loss in particular.😢
Tor will die during the battle or before then. This isn't a prediction but more of wishful thinking. I absolutely cannot stand Tor. I'm filled with rage every time she appears. 😡🤬
13. The ending of Oathbound will set up of either the Regents or the Shadow King being the final boss in the fourth and last book of the Legendborn Cycle

MDNI 18+
Feitan/Original Character (I gave her a name after I decided to put descriptors)
Trigger Warnings:
BDSM
Knife/sword play
Blood play
Mentions of rape/pedophilia/torture (OC has a rough history)
Spoiler for the manga (death of a character)
AFAB/She/Her pronouns
Maybe others to be honest I tried to think of things that might bother people, but this is Feitan, you know what you’re getting yourself into.
I do have this as a sort of chaptered story saved somewhere, but I don’t know if anyone actually wants that or if they just want the smut.
Tumblr media
Things had quieted down for the Phantom Troupe. Hisoka was still hunting them, but they had strength in numbers. Everyone rotated, staying with the boss, constantly two or three at a time, and always staying with someone else in the Troupe when not with Chrollo. They used this time to search out and find new recruits, ones with Nen abilities that would fill the gaps in their ranks, much to Feitan's dismay. He was still bitter about losing Shalnark, though he never let it show.
It seemed that, for now, Hisoka was laying low, although it was never a good idea to let your guard down with the sadistic magician. While he knew he was strong, even Hisoka was aware that he couldn’t take down the entire Troupe at the same time. Besides, his plan was to kill them all, one by one, to re-fight Chrollo on fair ground. His bitter desire for revenge fueled his patience. He also made it a point to kill anyone worthy of joining the Troupe, doing his best to prevent them from re-building.
Many of the new potential members that did make it through were vetted by Feitan. Chrollo wanted to ensure that anyone they added going forward could withstand endless torment since Hisoka was known to be vindictive. Who better to test them out than Feitan? The boss didn't realize Feitan used this trial to unleash his frustrations. Many were not leaving alive or in one piece.
"Feitan, I know I said to torture them, but perhaps leave one alive," Chrollo remarked calmly. Feitan replied, looking away from Chrollo, "They were not worthy. I only pushed to make sure they could endure it."
Still, he would attempt to present the boss with a new member soon. Phinks mentioned he had located someone with abilities that might throw Feitan for a loop, though he shrugged it off. He was starting to feel bored. The people making it through to him were not even close to being worth his time, and he had suspected for a while that Hisoka was behind it all.
Phinks ushered the latest prospect into Feitan's chamber within their warehouse on the outskirts of Meteor City. He was not predicting what he saw. This slim, petite woman, even shorter than he, stood in a black skirt, tank top, and combat boots. Her jet-black hair was back in a simple braid. Her simple attire stood to accentuate the sharpness of her jaw, the softness of her eyes, but those things were not what grabbed Feitan's attention. His gaze went to her arms and legs, entirely covered with scars. Anyone who received that sort of treatment from him would be dead. Yet, she glanced casually at the instruments around the room and the dried blood stuck to the floors and the wall.
“Hey, Feitan, this is Jun.” Phinks said. "Jun here is gonna be our new member, I'm sure of it."
Feitan snapped. "I'll decide that, Phinks. Did you give her the password?"
Phinks smirked. The interrogation strategy went as such; another member would give the nominee a word or phrase, and Feitan's assignment was to extract that information by any means possible. "Oh yeah, she's got it already. I won't give anything away, but she's gonna be a tough nut to crack. Good luck, Feitan." Phinks winked at Jun in his feeble attempt at flirting.
Jun rolled her eyes, annoyed. "Well, come on, let's see what you got." She beckoned Feitan towards her as she stepped to the center of the room. She almost seemed bored, as if she was testing Feitan as much as he was testing her. "So, Feitan, is it? Chains or no chains?" She gestured towards the ties around the wooden chair where he secured his marks.
Feitan's eyes tightened. He despised feeling like he was being told how to do his job. "Definitely chains," he said as he tied her to the seat. There was no resistance from her; she was almost helping as she moved her arms around into a perfect position for tying.
"Do your worst; I give you permission to do anything you like." Jun shot a look at Feitan. "Although I doubt you'll cross any of my lines. Punch me, kick me, stab me, burn me; it's all the same." She leaned against the chair with a heavy sigh.
Feitan felt suspicious; he was confident in his abilities to break anyone, but this person put him on edge. At the same time, however, he felt strangely aroused. She was beautiful, the mess of scars on her flesh only making her more so in his eyes.
He shook it off, reached for a blindfold, and covered and secured her eyes, preferring to give her no sign of what might be coming next. He closed his own eyes, reminding himself again to try and keep her alive. If she was worthy of the Phantom Troupe, then breaking too many bones or removing body parts wasn’t on the table. Still, dislocating a few joints was a different story, as well as deep cuts and wounds that Machi could fix up. Hell, if he did cut off her arm, Machi could just sew it back on. However, Machi was away on another job and wouldn’t be back for a while. He imagined the cut off parts would still need to be fairly fresh for reattachment.
Once he felt he had a good plan that didn’t involve tearing her from limb to limb, he balled up his fist, and punched her forcefully in the stomach. A direct hit like that alone would take down many a strong man, and that’s without using Nen. Jun gagged for a moment, the wind knocked out of her. Blood splattered from her throat. He smiled, watching as the warm, red liquid began dripping from the corner of her mouth. He thought to himself, “This won’t take long at all.” But then, he heard her laugh.
"That's the best you got?" she murmured through strained breaths. Feitan was enraged. He restrained himself from punching a hole through her chest cavity. He reached behind her, grabbing at her index finger and pulling it in a perfect jab, dislocating it from the joint. She yelped slightly, but then continued laughing. Next was the pinky finger, popping from the joint with a satisfying snap, then pressing down to increase the pain.
Jun knew she could take more because she already had. She thought back to her childhood. Ever since she was little, her father and his friends gathered and did evil, wretched things to her. Her mother looked the other way when Jun would come home with her father covered in bandages and bruises. But Jun was strong, strong enough to stay alive. Until one day, her screams and cries no longer satiated their desires. Jun was too old for them now. The day her father took her sister out of the house and came back alone was the day Jun lost herself. Her rage towards her father, mother, and the men who hurt her and her sister was too much. She swore to kill every last one of them... and she had.
Jun was a stubborn target, but Feitan had his share of those before and still managed to crumble their will. The difference, however, is he could always use threats of death, where here he was really having to restrain himself. Feitan continued, hitting her across the face, narrowly resisting from breaking her jaw. Again across the right side near her eye, then again on the left. Once he was satisfied with where he was, he snarled. "Tell me the password."
Jun was quiet, and he thought he was getting close to breaking her. Then the silence was broken by a maniacal laugh through heavy coughs. "Come on, little man, you barely got started."
Feitan grit his teeth. Jun was mocking him? "You talk shit, I see." His patience was usually so strong, but she was pushing his buttons. He grasped the small double-edged tanto from his pocket and impaled her in the abdomen. Jun let out a moan that echoed through the chamber, causing Feitan to take a step back. He'd heard many sorts of cries from his victims, but that was unexpected. "Oh, did I not mention? The more you hurt me, the more it turns me on." Her tongue darted out, licking her lips sensually.
Jun's laugh was full of her own insanity. To Feitan, the unhinged sound rang like music to his ears. He bore the knife into her throat. He had an idea that would probably end him, but he was losing control. "I'm going to make you tell me the password. But first, I'm going to have some fun." He drug the knife across her throat, not entirely through but just enough to make her bleed. She bit her lip, enjoying the sensation of cold metal through her skin. He persisted, cutting off her shirt and skirt keeping him from the rest of her tender flesh. He couldn’t take his eyes off the scars that littered the rest of her body, her torso and hips and even her back. He found a few areas where the skin had yet to be touched, and ran the knife across, barely pressing down to just break the skin. Jun’s body bucked into the knife, enjoying the pain and aching flushing through her body. She hated herself for how fucked up this all ways, how she savored and craved this feeling. As for Feitan, he felt awakened in a way he'd never quite experienced.
He leaned over and licked the blood dripping down her neck onto her chest. Jun’s body shook with desire. She had not been anticipating that. It caused an involuntary groan as Feitan's tongue glided through the blood and sweat.
"Fuck, I thought you were supposed to be torturing me, Feitan." She was panting, feeling the heat rising between her legs. Jun couldn't help but tease him, poking to see how much more he would give her.
"There are many types of torture, you know," he whispered in her ear, his deep voice giving her goosebumps. "I happen to be an enthusiast of all types." He pushed the knife back into his pocket and removed the blindfold covering her face. Blood was dripping from Jun's nose, and deep purple bruises formed over her face. Her right eye was swollen shut. He had done his best not to break her jaw, but he did some severe damage. Her seductive gaze drew him in closer, then she spit blood into his face.
Feitan stood there motionless, then brushed the blood from his face. He took her throat in one hand, pressing down on her windpipe. "Next time you speak to me, you will tell me the password." With his other hand, he parted her legs and slid his fingers into her core, surprised but pleased to feel she was dripping wet. She moaned hoarsely through his hold on her throat. He continued working his fingers in while sliding his thumb over her clit. He wanted to soak his hand in her, savor her forbidden juices with his fingers.
Still grasping her throat, he lightly released enough for her to take a deep breath, then pressed back. She leaned back, trying to use the back of the seat as leverage to grind harder onto his hand. She was so close to release, just a little further…
Feitan withdrew both his hands. Jun took a deep gasp, and tears welled in her eyes. He examined his fingers, dripping with sticky fluids. His fingers glided through the blood dripping down her chest and slid into her mouth, mixing everything together. He grabbed her neck and shoved his own tongue in next, wanting to taste the salty, bloody mix of fluids. Once he pulled away, she eyed him for a moment. "Fuck you. I guess you're really playing hardball now."
Feitan flew back at her. Within seconds he adjusted her chains, forcing her to the ground on her knees and securing her hands to her feet behind her. He removed his black overcoat and undid the tie on his pants. "Fucking brat, I told you not to speak unless you tell me the password." He pulled down the front of his pants and pulled out his cock, hard and leaking.
Jun drooled, astounded at the girth of the man with such a small stature. Feitan snatched her by the hair and shoved himself down her throat, acting as the gag to keep her from speaking again till he let her. Jun’s eyes were ravenous as she looked up at Feitan, who she noticed was cruel and sadistic in the best ways. He was like her personal demonic angel, supplying the suffering she yearned for. Jun could sense that Feitan was in his element, and so was she. She was suffocated by him, exhilarated that he was violating her in such a way. His eyes rolled in the back of his head, picking up speed with animalistic want. Watching the tears run down her face, he felt like a god among men.
Feitan could feel himself getting close. His body was spasming, but he continued to mangle her throat, even through her gags and heaving and watched her take all his creamy nectar. He withdrew his cock, and she looked up into his eyes, tongue out to show the finished product painted inside her mouth. The sticky cum was melting down her face, then she tucked it in to swallow, licking the aftermath off her lips. Feitan's perverted mind was ecstatic. "So, ready to tell me?"
Jun's eyes were glazed with submission. "I'll tell you... if you please let me cum, too."
“You act like you have upper hand here. If you want to finish, “he grabbed her by the throat, “you will tell me password.”
Hot tears were forming at the edge of her eyes, feeling the heat between her legs pulsing and close but not able to give her the satisfaction she was craving. “If I tell you, and you let me finish,” she whimpered, “am I still going to be a Spider?”
Feitan's primal urges opened up. He knelt in the pool of blood surrounding her and untied her chains, releasing her arms from above. Then he laid back on the concrete floor, unbothered by the horrifying mess that had been created. Jun saw her opening and crawled on top of him, hovering over his still erect member. She glided along the shaft, soaking it in her wetness before slipping it inside. It felt amazing. All the sensations of touch, taste, and smell she was experiencing were explosive. Feitan used his thumb to circle around her sensitive nerves, and Jun couldn't take anymore. She screamed loud, the orgasmic pulses shooting through her body. She crumpled forward, laying her head on Feitan's forehead. "By the way, the password is "password." Totally worth it, though." Feitan lay there quietly momentarily, then an honest laugh escaped his lips. He sat up, entangling his hands in her hair, and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "I bandage you up. You bleed out."
Jun’s eyes sparkled. “Watch this.” She stood up, closed her eyes, and Feitan noticed the distinct glow of Hatsu around her. He tensed a moment, preparing for the worse, but relaxed when he saw the stab wound close as if it had never happened. Each open cut and scrape sealed. Once the last one disappeared, she released her focus and opened her eyes to see Feitan’s awed expression. He stood up and approached her, running his finger over the spot he had stabbed earlier. A faint, smooth scar was there. He noticed that all of the gashes he made were like that, like whispers on her velvety skin, but that others were raised and rough. He put together that those had to be before she developed her abilities. There were hundreds more scars like those.
He wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close to whisper in her ear. "Spider now. Let's do again sometime."
