It’s so… weird. thinking about all the ways I’m disabled. some from birth that I knew by name, some by birth I didn’t, some only recently appeared, some only recently realized
I had all these conceptions about who a disabled person was
my brother, the special needs kids in my school, Sheldon,
and then I grow up and I finally realize
thats me!
that’s why…
and it explains so much about my life that could’ve helped if I knew sooner but for some of these there was no sooner, there just is
and looking at all the ways I am disabled when at one point I had the preconception that I was “normal”* (though I never really believed in normal,
after a certain point in my childhood. everyone is different and everyone has a different perception of normal, and if those two things are true everyone would be perceived as weird by someone on this planet, so is there really a normal or is everyone actually just weird,
but anyway that’s kid me’s theory)
I’m disabled. it makes me who I am in many ways. some of my disabilities have their pros, all of them have their cons. but they are part of who I am.
I am disabled and I am beautiful* and strong and sometimes weak
and that’s okay
*this is why disabled representation is important *beautiful as in nature, as in a statue, as in an aura, not as in pretty

When you tell you’re coworkers you’re autistic and their response is always “I definitely couldn’t tell”. It’s called masking, guys, and I’ve been practicing for decades.

I find it incredibly funny how Leslye will state something concerning Osha and Qimir so matter-of-factly, without any leg room for much interpretation and people will still go "no, it's actually y and z", as if they somehow understand the text greater than the writer herself.

I was rereading through Dungeon Meshi and I only realized while going through the changeling chapters that Laios not recognizing that Dwarves have lower stamina and need more food than other races until after he was literally forced to walk a mile in their shoes is extra bad because Senshi isn't the first dwarf he's partied with; he had probably been regularly running poor Namari into the ground with zero recognition of how much she was suffering
truly do not know why you came into my inbox of all places with this, I'm not the person to randomly trash on a dunmeshi character in general, let alone Laios.
But for the record:
The whole chapter is about challenging the perspectives the characters have about on other based on their races, and making them realize more about each other (Chilchuck's age, why he avoids combat, dwarven stamina, half-foot mana limits, tall-men being bigger targets in fights, elven... elfiness not being just "put upon airs" as Senshi says)
Laios is explicitly so taken by how much he can carry and do as a dwarf that he over exerts himself faster than someone who has lived their whole life as a dwarf would. He doesn't know how to manage it as well. Other characters run into similar problems (such as Marcille casting a big spell and immediately getting hit with mana sickness as a half-foot)
The whole fucking manga is about the difficulties of understanding people across cultural and racial divides, and the importance of realizing how prejudices and assumptions can lead people to the wrong conclusions about those around them, even friends and family. Being willing to grow and change is more important than never getting something wrong in the first place.
Laios acknowledging his new understanding of dwarven physique, and even connecting it to ways his dwarven friends act (not wearing heavy armor, wanting to cook filling meals regularly) is actually pretty insightful and shows a curiosity and willingness to learn, imho.

There are two types of first time Bachelor's route players:
🤔 Wow, Daniil is way nicer than I thought. Fandom portraits him as such a douche. Yeah, he has his moments, as all the healers do, but he is overwhelmingly nice and helpful. Interesting.
🤪 Only started playing and Daniil is THE WORST! Everything he says makes me cringe. Like, a wealthy and influential woman just offered him sex and he, can you believe it, politely ignored it! What a weirdo! Anyway, I'm going to continue taking everything he says out of context and presenting it as the worst thing ever because it's just so much fun!

i think the key to true unwavering joy is to fill everyday with so much love & light
to be fully present
to rest when your body says so
and if the work is hard & tough,
to take a moment and fill yourself with gratitude
that you are on your way to so much better
and if you feel fear of what’s coming next,
to relax in yourself and shower yourself with praise
of all you are capable of,
of all you have accomplished
and are yet to accomplish.
i think the key to living happily is to be on your own side
through all things
to take care of yourself in the ways you wish someone else had.
every moment is an opportunity for so much joy to bloom
& it is seizable, if you are present to witness it.

I know we all mostly focus on Khaotung but were there any questions about Kant or was First as pointless in the interview as his character is in the show?
Here is my answer - FUCK OFF
I have tried to ignore these sort of ask so many times. But it just keeps flooding my inbox. The amount that I keep deleting or ignoring these stupid asks is making me want to hire Bison and Fadel just to murder you lot.
You won’t get what you want from me. Just block me. I don’t know why you insist on trying to push your own narrow-minded views on me but like I have said before, you will not see me shading any of the boys here.
Get a life anon.

Btw, how is the story going to be, like, Published (assuming maybe online somewhere, but if you do go through a professional Publishing thing then awesome 👍), once it’s at that point? Do you think it would be in chapters, or only once the whole thing’s done
Yeah I'm operating on the assumption that any complete product would just be posted online. Maybe like self-published as an Ebook. Like if I actually finish I might be like What The Hell and go for it, see if I could get it legit published. But I have no grand visions of this ever getting professionally published, my expectations for a finished product would be 'story published somewhere online that Maybe 100 people total will read'
I'd also probably have to post the whole thing instead of chapter by chapter, unless it was chapter by chapter with the understanding of it being a Draft version rather than finalized product. I jump around too much while writing (like it kind of exists as a big outline shell and I skip around and work on different parts, rather than writing in order) and I tend to go back to edit parts long after they're ostensibly finished. I've got a lot written at this point but there's not a single chapter that's Finished and doesn't have blank parts that would need to be filled in later (single lines of dialogue, entire scenes, etc).
