Thank you! Honestly it took me years to get up to the level I’m at now. It took a lot of determination and dedication but I always wanted to create something like my favorite tv show or my favorite movies. I would see other people post fanart and fanfics about my favorite and show and thought I wanna do that to. So I kept drawing because it brought me joy and eventually all of that drawing was good practice so it helped me evolve in my art. I would occasionally have the thoughts of giving up after comparing my art to other artists but I loved drawing and refused to give up. Practicing definitely helps a lot!

Luka Couffaine - Miraculous Ladybug

I wanted to do a few things to “age him up” and make him look a bit more alternative.

I made a list of things I did differently and my current process in learning to draw! Started at the beginning of April and still going strong 💪

First, most obviously, is the clef tattoo on his neck, bigger stretched ears, and additional piercings.

Second, details such as a less pointed chin and a sharper jawline.

Third, I did his eyes more anime style because I like them better 😅

Fourth, there is a speck that looks like it could be an additional piercing above his lip. That is in fact a piece of lead. Oops.

I swear my sketchbook is going to be full by the end of April. So far I’ve only been posting faces (which are obviously still that of a level 2 drawer 😂) but I’ve been working on something different everyday. Different body parts and up to one still life every day. There are so many things to work at in drawing, but I can guarantee you, for those who aren’t talented (like meeeee) it’s all a matter of hard work.

Keep going, keep trying, keep learning.

Korean studies

So, I’m still studying Korean and made it to level 1B. The levels for the king sejong(the king of Korea who made the Hangul alphabet long ago) goes like beginner, 1A, 1B, 2A 2B and so forth. I’m still a beginner but I leveled up so yay! 😁

My listening is still better than anything. I watch a LOT of lives of BTS and some shows/Korean YouTubers! So I think that’s why. Talk to me in Korean is good. I like watching

K dramas are good for phrases but sometimes some things used don’t sound too natural to me, but sometimes over the top. But like…Duh, they’re acting so that makes sense.

I love the study group Im in, and 90% of the time people are really friendly and nice. But thy other 10%

I keep getting accused of using higher level of Korean and to “slow down.”

WHICH MAKES NO SENSE TO ME!

Like, I’m learning, what do you mean slow down? If I know how to use the phrases correctly, how is it pass my limit???

For a bit of background (except for math lol) I usually excel at things like this if I try/study.

So…why put me down about it?

I’m so annoyed. Not everyone does this but it’s weird that I’m literally just studying and practicing and get told, “wow that’s really beyond your level.” Sometimes they mean it in a compliment but lately it’s been as if to say I’m doing too much. 😑

I really like Korean. I ENJOY studying it. Maybe cause it’s a challenge. Im working on speaking and will edit a vid of me speaking it too!!! More of those are coming. 😁 it makes sense cause the last time I checked I WANTED TO FINISH ART SCHOOL THERE THROUGH MY COLLEGE!!!
