i get slightly annoyed when people make community posts that tell ppl to stop doing xyz and use the phrases "they're a FICTIONAL character, theyre NOT REAL" to justify whatever theyre saying because:

1) everyone knows that already, we're all aware these are blorbos from our media;

2) if someone is genuinely struggling to grasp that because of a delusion or similar, a forceful reality check is only going to cause harm rather than help;

3) it just feels so needlessly patronizing;

4) most of the time whatever I see people complaining about is either smth that I never see anyone doing or if it is smth somebody is doing then the block button is a very quick and effective fix for the issue (or even a quick convo w the person in DMs can resolve issues!)

(granted I keep my following circle very small and probably miss a lot but if i can do that then perhaps... perhaps other people can do it too fhfkdl like just prune back whatever u dont like seeing! unfollow or block as needed!)

As I work on my college assignments that I have missed due to being sick I can't help but think *damn* I would absolutely hate being transported to another world due to all my responsibilities. Like, even if it was that zero time occurring between getting back home I wouldn't want that, because fuck what if time did pass? What if I got fired from my job or missed on rent and all my stuff got thrown out of my apartment?? I love the idea of being away from my responsibilities but I hate having to go back to more and more things I have to more things I have to make up or have just missed.

Anyway, my brain suddenly attached this to a reader who got stuck in the linked universe. The emotions they would go through because their mind isn't stuck on the past or present but in the future. What if they had pets? Who'd take care of them? How would they pay their bills if they got stuck in an alternate universe? It's a sudden absence of these things that really trip them up because they had so much to do and now it's all gone. They can actually live now. But also they weren't built to live life outside of the weird society we have. How can they learn to live if the way they'd been living was nothing but a mental ladder to keep up with. How can they keep going knowing that back home there are important events and people and animals that they are missing out on.

So for like a year, maybe 2 now? Ive been obsessively consuming "isekai/reincarnation/transmigration anime" or this trope that somehow someway a character is misplaced from their original timeline, maybe just mysteriously yoinked/died/possessed another body in a diff universe, whatever, either way theyre There now, in a diff universe. And animes consistently gloss over this transitional period, that i can see real ppl actually having, to just sort of accept and move on, of course yo get the plot rolling.

But i guess theres just not quite enough sort of nitty-gritty isekai content yet for anyone to get have finally made an isekai genre thing that really goes on the other side of the spectrum, where the MC is like, well, THIS^^^

Like unless ur actually a hermit, youve either pushed away all ur family anf friends or theyve passed away, and you dont have a pet, pr whatever/whoever else,

ive learned after sort of coming out of teen years/rlly long depressive episodes that, Someone will always notice you. Theyll notice youre gone, and theyll miss you.

Like ppl hit u with that angsty, "nobody cares abt me" and then when u realistically sit them down like, "okay. What about your favorite teacher? What about your best friend? What about your online friends who will never see you log on again? What about your dog?"

Like yeah, who will take care of your dog?? Becaue where im at in life, if my sibling dies, ive got no one to care about my old girl, my kitty Mia <3 whos loved me since i was 12 😭

So, ive been actually wanting to fill in somewhat this gap in isekai genre by sort of expanding on it, i mean to be honest fanfiction is the only media ive seen thats gotten close to tackling this, with any amount of realism/emotional depth it deserves.

i hope u found this any amount of satisfying response, i probably would take this is in either a complete horror fashion/tragic scenario (which i don't write that often tbh) or a sort of "angst with a happy ending" like MC/reader worrying freaking out abt homeworld but there's a portal to let you go between worlds or smth

an addendum to my post abt citrus and its popularity; if you have a thing you really love, but dont see any content of. like i dont know what to say to u besides. make it? i dont say that rudely or condescendingly just fully genuinely like. i encourage any and everyone if they love a character or a ship or whatever like . draw or write or whatever media outlet u prefer . citrus was not popular a year ago. when i first started posting it literally all my tags were like "woah wasnt expecting this" or "ive never heard of this ship" and i just kept posting it because i genuinely liked and cared abt it a lot and wanted to make content for it bc there wasnt that much!!! and it just spread to other ppl bc they saw it . and im not saying like . These Steps to Your Ship Being Beloved or whatever but i am saying . exposure is very much a crucial part of ideas spreading. the fandom isnt gonna wake up one day and suddenly really like your favorite ship or whatever that hasnt had a new post abt it in 2 years unless you make a post about it and bring it to peoples attention. i just did that with citrus. and other people saw it and liked it. i dont know what other people like about it or why it appeals to them or whatever. im happy people like my content and for all the support ppl have given me, but ultimately i am just going to keep drawjng what i like, and what i like rn is citrus. so im gonna draw that lol. it has never mattered to me whether or not it got popular and . like. happy it has and other ppl enjoy these characters/this ship too but like. i just be out here making content for myself. and if other ppl like it and feel inspired by it thats awesome. but i dont want to nor do i try or intend to control or sway ppls opinions on stuff

hi uhhh i am very sorry to break it to you but i rarely ever do studies that isnt just. character/facial structure studies LMAOOO i used to do anatomy studies but not as much anymore and ive never done fabric fold studies. unless you count "staring at ppl respectfully on the train/video game characters from AAA games for a long time just to figure out how certain things work" as studies i dont actually do a lot of them very often.

^ an example of facial studies ive done awhile ago of my two favorite capcom guys. i took one screenshot of them each and painted them. it helps a lot to get better at drawing them (and faces in general) bc i have to be aware of what makes them look like them; the shapes of their faces, eyes, noses, mouth, eyebrows etc etc. while realism isnt really everyone's cup of tea, it isnt mine's either, but this genuinely helps a lot. it should work with other stuff like anatomy and fabric folds. i recommend trying figure sketching too if that's something you can manage.

as for resources... i dont look at a lot of those if im being honest. i just kinda look at drawing tutorials i see on twitter or here, whenever ppl put them on my tl/dashboard. but i do suggest looking at this person's profile (@/MangaMaterials2 on twitter) if you have the time, they make a lot of anatomy tutorials. i also watch this person's speedpaints (@/remarin on youtube) very often. i actually learned my shading style from watching them, and they're also very good at anatomy.

for non-public critiques, im sorry but i cant help you with that. im very busy myself and during weekdays im not home with my drawing tablet for most of the day, and that makes it very difficult for me to help anyone with critiques. im also not that good at explaining things, especially when it comes to how i draw (because i just. kinda know how to do things subconsciously? i dont actively think abt what im doing when i draw so i dont know how to describe my process). you're better off finding someone who's better at teaching :')

i've been watching scary stories and it has me thinking again abt how the house i lived in was haunted or something

long rambling thoughts here

like ofc theres the time i mentioned literally seeing someone float into the laundry room and i assumed it was my mom but when i looked inside nobody was there and she came around the corner a second later. that is undeniably something. i was scared of that hallway and especially the laundry room for like two months but eventually got over it. (I do think abt this one a lot..... ive heard things many times before but never seen things until this point.)

but even when we first moved in i sensed something was Off with the bedroom next to mine. apparently my aunt had a history of seeing things so im thinking maybe something was attached to her stuff since we took all her furniture when she died + plus the house was new so it was unlikely to be the house itself. bc a bunch of her stuff was thrown in that spare room and i always had a dark feeling in that room and in the hallway. but especially the bedroom itself. there's no real way to describe it other than dark. and heavy. even the first week we moved in i'd walk in there and feel a complete energy shift.

also i would frequently get dark visions when i tried to sleep at night or sometimes even randomly throughout the day. the most common one i think was of a tall dark figure leaning over me and watching me. like a totally black figure that was abnormally tall with long limbs and no facial features that felt Dark. it did genuinely scare me but id just tell it to go away and nothing further would happen. i also remember id see disturbing faces but again id tell it to go away or outright ignore it. which btw is what ur supposed to do because these things only have as much power as you give them. engaging encourages further contact so Dont Do That unless u want to be haunted for whatever reason.

it happened for months but once my brother moved in to that room and thus cleared out all the old furniture, it slowly decreased until it entirely stopped. but then the hallway felt darker than it had before. i always felt like i was being watched and that someone was behind me. so i did not like to spend longer than necessary in the hallway.

what i remember most vividly is that in the kitchen mostly, id literally feel someone come up behind me, it was this strong almost warm feeling youd get when theres a person there. but whenever i turned around, nobody was there even though i was so certain someone had came up behind me. one time i turned fully confident it was my dad but nobody was there. eventually i stopped even turning around bc i was used to it so id be cooking lunch with someone watching over my shoulder. it didnt happen every time but it happened often enough for it to really stick out in my memory. this energy never felt dark necessarily either. if something is dark You Will Know but it was really just. there. so this one didnt really scare me. i was just like oh the thing is back and carry on whatever i was doing.

its a shame i love scary stories bc they can invite that kind of stuff in if u arent careful. which is easy to get rid of as long as you dont do anything dumb but its obviously still scary. the entity i saw showed up after id recently been watching a lot of scary stories so i was like oh shit and stopped watching them so much. even if you consider that it couldve been harmless i still would rather not see things like that. and i know ppl will be like "you just watched too many scary videos and imagined it" but nooo i know what i saw. it was the middle of the day and a Thing that looked similar to my mom but a bit shorter floated into the laundry room. it didnt register to me at the time that it was floating, either, until after i mentioned to my mom how it "walked" diagonally from the corner to the laundry room door. like it took the shortest possible route. most people would walk and then turn on the corner but this thing did Not turn it just cut right through the hallway. it looked like it had the same hair as my mom, which is a weird bleached blonde going grey with some green tone, but was shorter by a few inches wearing a white night gown or something similar.

anyway this is also just my most recent house. a house i lived in as a kid was also very haunted and i heard a lot of Things there. the most notable being something whispering in my ear to "come with my heart" and even used my birth name. And i even felt the breath on my ear despite my head being under a blanket at the time. easily the most wtf thing that happened there.

the other most notable thing which im sure i mentioned at one point bc it scared me the most was the loud crying of a baby on the stairway. it was this set of two stairs back to back and there was the loud undeniable cry of a baby throughout the entire thing. i heard it a few times during the middle of the night when id gone downstairs at like 3am for a snack lol the first time it happened my dad was asleep on the couch for some reason i think he had a fight with my mom so i woke him up in a panic telling him what was happening but the moment he came in earshot of the crying, it stopped. which is like HUUUUH? idk what but something was definitely messing with me back then. unfortunately for it i was an 11 year old with a love of horror so half the time i was like omg cool its like im in one of those scary stories.

ive experienced other things but these were easily the ones that stick out most.

anyway ive been listening to scary stories abt Way crazier stuff than i went through and its like ough. u can never know if something is true or made up but i know at least some of them are true, esp when therell be like entire countries of ppl with similar experiences. i much prefer scary stories abt spirits and stuff bc generally as long as you arent stupid you will be safe. but when it comes to humans...... or otherwise corporeal entities. u are more readily in danger and i do not like that. being watched by a spirit is like ok dont like this but i can just tell it to go away and it will eventually if not right away. but humans? first of all why are you in my house. Terrifying.

i do hate when i wanna hear scary stories and get true crime crap. no. leave me be. i was more into that when i was younger but now im like hmmm i dont wanna be reminded of the darkness of humanity so i will pass.

About myself: I have a love-hate relationship with my grit. Mostly because I know I was born talentless in all aspects (no exaggeration), so every creative endeavor I have is 99% hardwork. And no, my parents don't have writing or drawing skills. I don't need to explain how my mom only knows how to draw "v" birds or how my dad isn't great at English. Absolute shame on them. (jk I love my family, I wish I could just pass my lifespan to hem HAHAHA). So when all hardwork fails, I feel like absolute shit. Second thing probably is my faith. I think I wouldn't be here if I didn't have some level of trust with the universe overall. The rest of me is garbage tho lmao. the breakdown in my mind is that all 3 of eider and lulubelle's children are Strange and Ambiguously Disordered (fethry taking the most after his mother) and also to some degree have inherited eider's legendary strength (abner being basically on par with his father and fethry as the baby and the runt of the three being much more close to just having normal person strength, though still a bit surprising for how noodly he is)

The amount of stealth missions is honestly exhausting, it’s fun for like 1 or two, like mw2 had the water mission with Gaz and the alone mission with Soap (plus the sniping if you want to count it) and while I had jokingly complained about not realizing I had signed up for Assassin’s Creed, Mw3 is so much worse 💀

Constant stealth missions that I at least couldn’t figure out a way to get around which had little to no checkpoints was a vibe killer, checkpoints in general might be a me playing on hardened difficulty thing but whatever..

Also accidentally killing civilians made me lose it, like I can go and watch the recording of my gameplay but I’m positive 90% of the time I wasn’t shooting at a civilian, literally shot at the enemies and the game was still like ��Wuh oh!!”, other times I WOULD kill a civ and it not register? Annoying tbh

Oh my god the death scare with Price made me actually tear up, cuz I’ve been hearing shit abt this game that I genuinely thought man was a goner 😭

Rook dying also shook me and I’m not even sure why I care, I think I just liked the name. Ivan idc abt he kept getting infront of me during the first mission his death was deserved (I know nothing abt these guys)

Despite the 3 named chars who DID die, at least at this point the game doesn’t feel very..idk, cool as mw2? The stakes for some chars feel lower, like the fact Milenna just gave up like no big deal? Mfs used car batteries in the past game, plus at least in the mw2 remake it’s implied Laswell tortured that one cartel dude for info. I’m not asking for like torture porn i just feel like these chars feel less morally Grey at times than they should be, but that’s just me!!

The fact you don’t get  accelerators(? The things you use to get up rope) is so fucking stupid imo, I get why it would at times be too easy to have it from the start, but why would a soldier be going in without basic gear?? They could have just designed maps to not have so many fucking ropes that can’t actually be used unless you get the shit halfway through the mission and die so you’re reset at the start with the gear you’ve collected?

+Plus it’s confusing to figure out which ropes you HAVE to use, which means fiending around for the right gear, and what ropes are there for later convenience, or maybe I’m stupid and don’t have the critical skills to figure that out without wasting time scavenging first

Idk, it’s odd, ‘nother stealth-like mission was where Laswell had to find that Russian informant dude, which I had to turn the difficulty down for because I kept triggering ppl around to be sus even if I either wasn’t near them, or had no choice but to be close to them? Figuring out if the game wants you to full stealth or if you could technically (but with some difficulty) do it loud is annoying cuz unless I suck at the game there’s no option for scurrying and shooting 😭

gonna start the mw3 campaign in a lil bit, I hope it's something that I can find the same insanity and enjoyment of mw2 campaign in <33

slime is very flexible because of their slime tendencies and if he wanted to twist their limbs all the way around it totally can

he can only do it for a certain amount of time though before their body turns into a bunch of swirls and it becomes a pretzel xD

slime was taught that four leafed clovers give you good luck so it loves finding four leafed clovers and storing them in LN's walls

slime doesnt need to eat but if he does and/or wants to eat something it just needs to stuff it into their stomach and the food will digest itself over a timestamp of six hours

slime and quackity often hang out in the casino and watch the machine go and land randomly on a spot and slime always cheers when it lands on diamond because he knows it means a good thing

slime constantly hits quackity because when quackity is harmed it induces him to squeal in autotune and slime likes the sound; he thinks its funny and always giggles when quackity makes the noise

slime is aromantic!!

slime can remove the slime on his head and shoulder with no problem and often does it to fit in outside of las nevadas

lee hcs

slime loves when they get tickled and describe tickling as happy and cheerful

slime is a big lee leaning switch (80% lee, 20% ler) and the chance of it getting a ler mood is very uncommon

the bubbles on slime's skin arent poppable but in fact very sensitive--poke the skin above one or literally stick ur finger into his skin and wIGGLE IT AROUNd and he'll be jolting and giggling all over the place

slime is ticklish practically everywhere

some of his especially bad spots are anywhere on their torso--its thighs are a good spot as well

slime has a very bubbly and more giggly laugh and he doesnt cackle a lot unless you hit its thighs, hips or tummy :3

i would recommend that unless hes in his form with more human-like skin to not use mouth tickles with slime

though, mouth tickles are very effective if they are gentle and/or soft!! especially raspberries and nibbles :D he only lets quackity and anyone else in las nevadas (of whom he gets along with) use kisses

slime is squirmy and will always involuntarily wiggling away from tickles

but they also dont like to wiggle away from them because it generally enjoys the feeling of tickles so if he wiggles away they'll move back and lean into them

slime doesnt really understand teases and they dont affect it much, but he loves being showered in affection! their fav thing <3

slime genuinely melts if you tickle its legs (minus his thighs) and their arms + hands

so if you're tickling slime in his more slimey form and you go for his arms and from his knees to his feet, your gonna wanna make sure you do that on wooden and clean floor rather than a carpet, etc.

slime has no shame walking up to someone and asking for tickles. he doesnt think that its that big of a deal or embarrassing at all!!! :>

it often snorts, squeaks, hiccups, etc. whenever you tickle his neck or when you poke at a slime patch on their human skinned form

he is the most precious, wholesome ler ^^

its very respectful of you and they always will ask the lee to choose a spot for him to start and a spot for them to go after that so it doesnt make them uncomfortable

whenever slime finds a spot that makes the lee snort, squeak, hiccup, etc. he'll keep going to that spot because it reminds him of quackity's habit of squealing in autotune whenever hes harmed

slime learned tickling from quackity and it started from him being tickled to him learning how to tickle someone

slime giggles and laughs along with the lee--its just something i see him doing all the time

slime enjoys knowing the fact that hes the reason that whoever hes tickling is laughing :> it makes him happy ^^

slime likes to remove the slime on his head and or shoulder and just roll it into a ball on the lees tummy :0

i always say taemin is my bias (hes adorable AND funny like... king stop my expectations are too high-) but i think im truly ot5 because all of them are so important to me. they were the first kpop group i ever listened to forever ago (sherlock (clue + note) is a legend and i love her so much), and i think dropping off shortly after getting into them (which would have been around 2015 because it was the time view came out) and then picking them a little over a year ago was genuinely like... something that really helped me out of a shitty place + hurt because i had missed the news about jonghyun entirely. but even then, i think its made me appreciate him and everything he's done so, so much. i won't get sappy but i truly love jonghyun so much and i'm glad he's no longer hurting. it'll always piss me off when people reduce him down to his death and nothing else because he was such a good person.

moving on from that before i get too emotional... i genuinely just love shinee a lot. i watched one of the shinee world concerts (IV i think?) earlier this year and its amazing how talented they were and still are. shinee truly helped pave the way and inspired so many idols and i adore them. its also fun to just watch them interact, tbh. i don't genuinely ship anyone because i find that weird, but minkey as a (platonic) pair are my faves lmao they always bicker like an old married couple but you can tell that they do love each other and are genuinely close friends.

i didnt rly get into my love for taemin but genuinely i adore him. he's so, so talented both vocally and dance-wise, i love to see the difference between his stage persona (typically his solo persona lmao taemin and his slutty slutty music... <3) when he's really just this very sweet catholic man who apparently only really interacts with his group mates and a few others outside of that. he's so funny and i honestly admire every live he did where he spoke english and messed up and accepted his mistakes? like. learning a language is hard enough, especially one as fucking weird as english, but he just seems to eager to try speaking english and accepts his mistakes. i think he definitely has a very good support network both in the people helping him learn english (job-wise) and in having someone like key there to correct him (and maybe rib him a little bit--but it's all out of love). also i still think its really funny he broke into keys place to leave him a birthday cake and then proceeded to steal one of his jackets. stole my heart at the same time smh
