if i do give into my fixation and actually put my thoughts out and write a headcannon/fanfic, I'll probably write a PowerPuffGirl!reader. backstory info:

female character with the same powers and the powerpuff girls (speed, flight, strength, intelligence, healing, etc.)

"The Professor" (female or male) is the reader's creator

professor was in school with the davenports. after they graduated, they still kept in contact

the professor's focus was on creating superhumans through modifying genetics and human bio, but the davenport's focus was on creating superhumans through technology and bionic chips

davenport is more tech, douglas is a combination of tech and bio, the professor is more biology

they all collaborated on their projects and they were successful in creating the kids, but the professor moved to townsville soon after all the kids were successfully created

I know that people can't reproduce asexually, that's what we're going to go with through the power of fiction

since the ppg reader's powers are part of her biology instead of a chip, she doesn't glitch the way bionic humans do

the professor allowed reader to go to school and be part of society growing up

reader still trained to strengthen her powers and go on missions

reader graduated high school early and graduated with a BA in psychology or child development (psych so she can hate on davenport🤪)

davenport lets the professor know when douglas comes back and isn't evil anymore

the professor and reader start taking occassional trips to mission creek

the professor can reconnect with the davenports, reader gets to hang out with people who have similar powers to her after keeping her secret her whole life, and the reader gets to train in a different environment

at first she helps leo as mission specialist and then eventually joins the team on missions

since she doesn't go to school, reader would work with the davenports in the lab

reader really gets along with Adam, Bree, and Chase because of their shared powers and secret lives

she bonds with Adam over experimenting with their powers and he's mesmerized by all the extra ones she has. She's smart so they can probably plan great pranks together

Bree imediately claims her as a bff and within a month (or less) they're practically sisters

She shares Chase's intellect and loves learning, but it isn't her whole personality. She pushes Chase to be more spontaneous and their friendship helps him be more confident

I'm a Chase girly so if I ever end up writing fanfics and headcannons, the reader will end up dating Chase

❤️ Over the course of a couple days, HIM was trying to find another space you could go. He wasn't a fan of happiness, yet you were seemingly full of it whenever he was around. From giving his legs hugs to even gifting him small drawings or really any kind of creation you made out of your stone-making ability

❤️ HIM began to actually enjoy having you around. You showed a potential like no other demon or monster he had ever seen, well, other than himself of course

❤️ Over the passing years and eventual eon, HIM really leaned into acting like a father to you. Your powers had grown to a length that many feared you the same as they did the King of Darkness

❤️ Every single time he asked you to carry something out, you did so successfully, and he saw no sign of you being anxious or in any kind of denial about your abilities. You were gifted a kind of 'magic' that allowed you to just make people into stone and send them to be dust like nothing. You were powerful, but you were also fragile

"Your aura is off, kiddo. I'm no fool. Now, tell me what is going on. Or else I may have to resort to not-so-kind methods."

❤️ You knew he was bluffing and just wanted you to speak your mind, but in your fear and depressed-stricken state, you believed him to be fully honest. So, you lifted your head fully and looked at him, making him startled at seeing how red your eyes had become. They were comparable to his very own skin!

❤️ He got down from the counter-top he was sitting on and walked towards you before opening his claw-hands and using one end to lift your chin to stare at him in the eyes

"The assignment... it was just so hard! The damn mortals won't listen to any of the ideas you gave me on this accursed paper! They just- they won't let their egos fall for one lick of a second!"

"How about this; I take you outside and give you something else to do to take your mind away from this task. I'll just assign it to somebody else. Does that sound good?"

🧊 Long ago, you were once a young child, being held by your parents in the cozy cabin of theirs. Well, that was before they noticed differences in you that wasn't obvious before. From your extremely pointy ears to having fairly large eyes with a prominent blue shade and not the normal (e/c), they grew fearful and asked a species expert what was wrong

🧊 He had taken one look into your eyes and screamed for you to be taken away, you were a changeling. A creature that would become anything for the gain of love and affection to feed themselves and their empty-hearts

🧊 You were a mere 5-year-old, now living on your own in the freezing forest and mountain-tops ruled by the feared Ice King. Over the next couple months, you traveled randomly, trying to find something, someone, who would accept you

🧊 If you were left like nothing, it was obvious your real home had no use for you. After all, abandoning such a young hunter is fruitless

🧊 As you sat down next to a makeshift camp, you heard the sounds of small footprints pushing snow down. The footsteps began to get closer, making you look up in fear as you bared your fangs and hissed, your long tongue flailing about in an attempt to scare the being off

🧊 You then noticed a taller male looking down at you with some penguins around him, he looked at you confusingly before asking who you were

"Well Y/N. Why are you out here in the cold, by what I understand, humans can't survive fully out here."

🧊 Over the following hundred years, you grew into a well-liked changeling. Though many had no clue of your true species. All it took for others to really accept you was the friendship you made with Princess Bubblegum

🧊 When you finally began to share the feeling of love with somebody, that being the Queen who abandoned you, you went from the colors of the night to having light green skin and many parts of you representing the insects you loved messing with at home

🧊 Finn and Jack understood why you were fearful to return home, with with their assurance, you gave them all one last hug before flying away to confront your adoptive father

🧊 Ice King was shocked to hear his name being called out by you, normally you were fairly mute and would just tug on his arm to get his attention

🔫 You had no interest in speaking of the past five years. All of the failed attempts at pleasing your family members remained grilled into your memories, making you despise any mention of them

🔫 Thankfully, it only took a trip to the nearby grocery store to meet another female, one that seemed to be around 16 or so years old. She introduced herself as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, making you chuckle, such an odd last name

🔫 A few weeks later, you and Vanessa began to hang out, seeing one another around so often had to be a sin for friendship. One day, the sound of a slightly boisterous and scratchy male's voice made you both look up, and seeing how Vanessa reacted, you only assumed it was her father. You were not-surprisingly correct

"This is Y/N, I met them a few weeks ago at the store a couple blocks down."

"Interesting. I'm Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Vanessa's father. It's nice to meet you, Y/N!"

🔫 Shockingly, as the months passed of you and his daughter hanging out, you began to show a sign of high-intelligence, one that could rival Doof's entirely. One day, one of his -Inators had gone berserk and you ran up and disabled it in a matter of seconds

🔫 He almost immediately offered you a role in his work, specifically with going over his stuff to make sure his math and everything was correct. He didn't need another -Inator to fail again...

🔫 Over time of working with Vanessa's father, you gained a closeness almost similar to a father-child one. He showed you the kinder side of him, the same one he showed his daughter. And the way he praised you for your brilliance made you feel... nice. Like you had a purpose

🔫 Unfortunately for him and you though, one day you had gone over his calculations and gotten it wrong, making his invention crash and burn to nothing. And you panicked like nobody else was around

and look! There are the PowerPuff Girls! 

Settled outside in their front yard on a breezy spring day, 

Charms beads ribbons and strings 

Weaving braiding and crafting these things!

and look! there's Professor Utonium!

Tending to the flora, tending to the garden,

With glove hat and shears in hand 

Maintaining the grounds, oh my! What a man!

The girls are settled on a gingham blanket, their crafting supplies sprawled about.

"Crafting, Crafting, Crafting!", Bubbles sings with her coloring books and crayons nearby. 

Blossom has a focused stare, threading each bead with absolute precision. 

"Aw man! I can't get this stupid pattern right!", Buttercup huffs in frustration. 

As she stomps away from the blanket, a Townsville citizen passes by looking toward the failed effort. You know exactly what that is! 

"Hi! Are you trying a Chevron?", you ask.

"... Yeah.", Buttercup relents reluctantly. 

"I can help you if you'd like! I used to do these all the time."

"You know how to make friendship bracelets!!!", Bubbles cheers.

"Yep, I was a Girl Scout!"

"Would you like to join us?", Blossom invites.

"Sure! Thanks."

You find a spot on the blanket and start undoing Buttercup's bracelet. 

"... You start is like this."

"... then go over right here-"

"Then you tie it off and you're done!"

"Wow! Your bracelet is so pretty!", Bubbles says in awe.

"It's MINE- she made it for ME!", Buttercup clarifies. 

"Yours or Buttercup's , can you make me one?", Blossom requests.

"Of course! May I use the charms?", you comply. 

You spend the entire afternoon making bracelets for the PowerPuff Girls, each customized and designed by the owner. Bubble's bracelet uses white, black, and blue. It has charms of dolphins, squirrels, flowers, and stars. Blossom's bracelet uses red, black, and pink. It has charms of beads, hearts, bows, and fruits. Buttercup's bracelet uses green, black, and white. It has charms of diamonds, crescent moons, and candies. 

As the sun sets, you finish the last touches and say your goodbyes. You spent the evening with the PowerPuff Girls! 

Any charms and ribbons left unused you asked to keep and when you get home you start on your own. Your own bracelet, your own memory of the moment spent with your city's heroines.

The Powerpuff Girls floated next to the High School, peering around the corner.

"Why are we here, again?" Buttercup inquired, looking at Blossom.

Blossom didn't turn her gaze to her sister, still on the lookout for something. "People have said that the Gangrene Gang has been walking here every day. They have to be up to no good!"

Bubbles was silent the whole conversation, but suddenly squeaked "Look, look, here they come!"

Blossom and Buttercup snapped their heads around to see the gang themselves, mosying up the street like they owned it. Snake was holding a backpack in his hands.

Blossom glared, "They obviousley have something dangerous in that bag! Let's go, girls!"

Buttercup was about to fly off with Blossom to give the young, green delinquents a beatdown, but Bubbles grabbed them both by the backs of their dresses. "Wait!" She said in her high-pitched voice, "Who's that with them?"

Another teenager was standing in front of school with the gang, and Ace had his arm wrapped around their shoulder. The girls watched in shock as they took the bag from Snake, and stood on their tiptoes to kiss Ace on the cheek, and walked inside the school, with the gang shouting out their goodbyes.

"Is that a new member?" Bubbles asked as the Gangrene Gang walked off.

"Obviously, Bubbles, they're dating Ace! But why?" Blossom rubbed her chin in thought, "They don't look like the type to mix with a gang. Wait!" Blossom snapped her head up "They must be being blackmailed or something! That's it!"

The city of Townsville. Your hometown, and birthplace of Green Death. a band that had just hit it big. Meaning the members had a newfound stardom to abuse— enjoy.

That being said, they were back in the city after their latest tour. Which meant you could finally spend quality time with your boyfriend, the bassist of the band. However he was nowhere to be seen.

He'd told you that he would make it back for dinner at seven. Of course you knew that really meant nine or so. But nine o'clock came and went. As the time crept to eleven you began to worry. You took to pacing in the living room, hoping for just a single call. One call and you would be okay.

Maybe you should ring his friends? You thought as you dragged your fingers down your arms.

Briiiing briiiing briiing. The telephone cried for your attention. Finally something. Fast as a fash you picked it up.

"Ace?" You asked hopefully.

"Yeah its me doll," Came his static-y reply.

Immediately relief flooded through your system.

"Look I'm sorry I ain't called no sooner but I got caught up in somethin' and you know how it goes"

Caught up in something? That had to be the lamest excuse he could've come up with.

"Whatever you say babe, when are you getting back home?" You twisted you fingers around the phone cord. At the moment youd been to relieved to give him hell for the worry.

"Ey I dunno, one?" He paused, "Maybe two."

Two in the morning? That was another four hours away!

"Leave the door unlocked will ya toots? I forgot my key."

"Don't bother, he won't be coming home tonight, because he's sleeping with me." A low sultry voice said before you could get a word in.

You were shocked into silence for a minute. Meanwhile silently Ace chastised whoever she was. To which she only laughed mockingly.

"Who the hell is that!?" You finally sputtered once you were composed again.

"Who her? No one forget it, listen I'll see ya sooner than you can say keep it green." His words came out fast and jumbled. Like a kid who was caught up after bedtime.

"Ace–"

"Love youse too, miss ya already. Bye."

With that the line went dead. And for a second you only stood there. Complete silence taking over the living room. It didn't last long before you slammed the phone into the receiver, over and over.

You were being cheated on. Again. You threw yourself onto the sofa. Hundreds of thoughts ran through your mind.

How could Ace do this to you? Who was she? Did he still love you? What would you say to him? Should you leave? How long has he been cheating again?

All the while a familiar burning filled your chest as the betrayal set in. Your thoughts all trickled into one. This relationship was over once and for all.

You could already see yourself packing your things. Being ready to walk out long before your ex came back. But you'd stay long enough to tell him you wouldn't change your mind.

The smallest of smiles crept onto your face. You'd never even have to see him after.

However your eyes started to droop. You sunk deeper into the couch. Exhaustion finally began to catch up to you. But that was fine, a quick nap would help you if anything.

Your thoughts slowed as you gave way to a deep sleep. It's not like you'd sleep too long on accident.

You blinked awake groggily, gentle rays of sunlight greeted you. After a few more minutes of enjoying the warmth of your bed you sat up. Rubbing away any remaining sleep in your eyes.

When you finally remembered that you'd fallen asleep on the couch with plans to leave early morning you deflated.

"Well ain't that a bitch" you sighed.

You should've known better than to think you'd actually wake up in time. Hastily you threw the covers back. Maybe your chance to leave dramatically fell through but that didn't mean you changed your mind.

Harshly you pulled the door open. But you faltered when you smelt something cooking. Ever so slowly you crept to the kitchen. Peaking in you saw Ace cooking, something he rarely did after setting fire to water one day. Yet there he was, wearing an apron and not ruining pans.

When he noticed you watching him his entire face lit up. He threw a top over whatever hed been making before pulling you into a tight hug. You didn't return it.

"Ace we need-"

"You know I'm sorry about last night," He cut in, loosening his grip to look at you "But it really wasn't my fault either!"

You deadpanned at him. Where did he even get the nerve to say that? Not his fault my ass.

But you humored the thought. "Why didn't I think of it like that?" You spat sarcastically "Please tell me how I can help you keep it in your pants!"

"Fer starters about next time I hit the town you come with me?" Sarcasm was ahead of him you supposed.

"I knew you'd see it my way doll." He left a light peck on your forehead and released you before you could get a word in.

You watched him walk back into the kitchen, slightly dumbfounded by what he said. It wasn't your fault was it? You followed him into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island while he kept cooking. Leaning your head against your hand you watched him work.

As your eyes followed him around the kitchen you realized he was making your favorites. Something he did when he was in trouble. It made you smile softly. Maybe you were overreacting. Ace was a good boyfriend. When he remembers to be at least.

But with the bands success you couldn't blame him for the thoughtlessness. Not entirely. Maybe you were overreacting. You just had to take his offer to go more places with him. Even if it meant obnoxiously large crowds of annoying people and a lot of parties.

He'd do the same for you. So you'd forgive him this time. Though the dull ache in your heart almost made you think twice. But it would get better, everything would be better than before.
