The room buzzed with a joyful cacophony of voices and laughter. Fairy lights danced along the walls, reflecting off glittering decorations. The air smelled like pine and cinnamon, with a hint of the hot chocolate bar near the corner. This wasn’t just a party—it was the party. And I had no idea how I managed to get everyone here.

“Hey! No way I’m losing again!” DanTDM shouted, holding a controller with the determination of a warrior. Across from him, Joel Dawson leaned forward, tongue slightly out as he focused. The Mario Kart showdown between the two had somehow drawn a crowd.

I laughed, sipping from my cup as I wandered through the crowd. Dillon was by the fireplace, showing Chris Evans some survival tricks. “You know, if you ever get trapped in the wilderness…” Dillon started, only to be interrupted by Bucky Barnes.

“Steve would never let that happen,” Bucky said, smirking at Chris.

“Okay, fair.” Chris shrugged with a laugh.

Meanwhile, the Power Rangers RPM crew—Scott, Flynn, Summer, Ziggy, Gem, and Gemma—had commandeered the karaoke machine. Gem and Gemma were belting out a hilariously off-key version of “Jingle Bell Rock,” with Ziggy trying to keep up.

I turned to see Jake Webber and Corey Scherer pulling off ridiculous dance moves in the middle of the room, with Aaron Doh and Colby Brock hyping them up. Tara Yummy and Katrina Stuart cheered them on while filming for their socials.

Over by the dessert table, Jacksepticeye and Markiplier were in a heated debate about the proper way to eat a gingerbread cookie. “You don’t just bite the head off first!” Jack exclaimed.

“Why not? It’s efficient,” Mark countered, taking a demonstrative bite.

Near the tree, the Bat Family—Bruce, Dick, Jason, Tim, Damian, and even Alfred—were quietly enjoying themselves. Well, except for Jason, who was trying to convince Damian to loosen up and eat a cookie.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Flynn. “You doing okay, Y/N? It’s your party, and I haven’t seen you stop moving all night.”

Nearby, MatPat was giving a wildly enthusiastic breakdown of the science behind snowflakes to Diath Woodrow and Evelyn. Evelyn nodded politely, though I could see Strix stifling a laugh behind her hand.

Sam Golbach and Gizzy Gazza were huddled together, plotting some kind of prank. “I’m just saying, fake snow in the vents could be hilarious,” Sam whispered.

“Until someone gets buried alive,” Katrina chimed in from across the room.

The Kratt brothers, Martin and Chris, were showing Josh Hutcherson a mini wildlife documentary they’d put together earlier in the day, while Carter Grayson chatted with Scott Truman about leadership tips.

Before I could even attempt to check on everyone, I heard Chris Hemsworth’s unmistakable laugh booming from the center of the room. He had everyone’s attention as he told a story about the time Thor “borrowed” his hammer for holiday decorating.

Ranger Teams are protective of their youngest members and their Reds. Sometimes, this does coincide, but for the most part, the youngest and the Red are separate people

Red Rangers generally have zero self-preservation instincts, either because of trauma or daredevil personalities

Blue Rangers can be the 'tech wiz', but generally, they're just extremely intelligent

Rangers all have a pretty solid relationship with gender and pronouns. Mostly because they see and fight aliens literally every day and have decided they have Bigger Things to worry about

Reds, Yellows, and Blues are usually always there on the Ranger teams, so it's common for them to be close

Teams don't really drift apart, they stick together because who else is gonna understand what it's like to witness the people you hang around daily almost die every other week?

Rangers in general stick together, always. Where one Ranger is, another is typically not far behind. Some teams go so far as to get houses together, others just in the same neighborhood or town. Never far from each other, and never away for too long

The Power will never, can never abandon its chosen people. Once it makes its choices, it will not deviate. It doesn't stop looking out for its chosen ones either. Once you've bonded to the Morphin' Grid, you're stuck for life, regardless of being active or not

In Universe, people write fanfiction about the Rangers. Yes, they read it, sometimes they even like it. (Megaforce and down in particular find it hilarious)

Y/N'S POV

I was never one to chase after legends. I always thought the stories were meant to entertain, not guide. Yet, when I heard about the Winter Star, something about it felt different. They said it only appeared during the coldest nights of the year and that those who sought its wisdom would find themselves forever changed.

I wasn’t sure what I was searching for that night as I bundled myself in my coat and stepped out into the snow-blanketed streets of Mariner Bay. Maybe it was closure. Maybe it was hope. Whatever it was, the Winter Star felt like my last chance to find it.

The icy air bit at my face as I followed the glowing trail of streetlights toward the heart of the city. Mariner Bay felt quieter than usual, the snow muffling the usual hum of activity. My breath fogged in the air, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was being drawn somewhere—like the Winter Star itself was pulling me closer.

That’s when I saw him.

Standing at the corner of a street, his silhouette was illuminated by the faint glow of the streetlights. He wasn’t wearing a coat—just his firefighter uniform, like he was immune to the cold. His presence radiated a warmth that seemed to melt the chill from the air around him.

“You lost?” His voice was calm, steady.

“I’m not sure,” I admitted, feeling a little ridiculous. “I’m looking for the Winter Star.”

A faint smile tugged at his lips, and he tipped his helmet back. “You’re not the first. Most people think it’s just a story.”

Before I could react, he was already running toward the danger. I should’ve turned and run the other way, but something told me to follow him.

What I saw next defied explanation.

The shadow emerged from the alley—a massive creature, its metallic body gleaming under the streetlights. It roared, its glowing eyes scanning the street like it was looking for something—or someone.

Carter didn’t hesitate. He raised a hand to his wrist, and in a flash of red light, he transformed.

One moment, he was just a firefighter. The next, he was standing there in bright red armor, a helmet with a visor obscuring his face.

“The Red Ranger,” I whispered, disbelief washing over me.

He didn’t look back as he charged at the creature, his every movement precise and calculated. Fire erupted from his weapon as he fought, the blasts lighting up the snowy street like fireworks.

It was over faster than I expected. The creature crumbled into pieces, its metallic form disintegrating into nothingness. Carter lowered his weapon, his breathing steady as he turned back to me.

He paused, then reached up to remove his helmet. His face was calm, his expression thoughtful. “Maybe. Or maybe the Winter Star is something different for everyone. Maybe it’s about finding the strength to face the impossible.”

I didn’t know what to say.

“Come on,” he said, tilting his head toward the horizon. “I’ll make sure you get home safe. But if you keep looking for the Winter Star, just remember—it’s not the destination that matters. It’s what you learn along the way.”

As we walked back through the snowy streets, I couldn’t help but feel like I’d already found what I was looking for. Not just a legend, but something real—someone who reminded me that even in the darkest nights, there was always a light to guide the way.
