Got my hands on the script of Anatomy of a Fall, and I couldn't help but compare it with some scenes from the movie because that's how deep I am rn :'D Anyway, here are some of my finds and things I personally enjoyed. I'm sure there are more things to dig out but these are what I wanted to share with the world. The order of my finds will be chronological, for the most part, but keep in mind that sometimes, some scenes were edited to show up later, or earlier than originally intended. Spoilers for the whole movie obviously so you've been warned!

Takes place when Vincent first visits Sandra to discuss Samuel's death. In the movie, Sandra stops Vincent and cuts him harshly, saying "STOP, I did not kill him". Vincent then says a line that I think is pretty iconic in the movie, a sarcastic : "That's not the point. Really". His line is much harsher than on the script, where he's a bit softer. "You don't need to tell me that" implies that he has some deep, loyal faith in Sandra, while "That's not the point" cuts any further discussion. He really doesn't wanna know if she actually did it. Comes from a wish to remain blind still, but with less innocence and a lot of denial. Oh, Vincent.

In the movie, his last line is way better imo, he says "No one's gonna believe that. I don't believe that." I like the emphasis on his opinion rather than the fleeting and impersonal "it's really hard to believe". Truly hits way harder and puts Vincent back in the position of a lawyer.

The rest will be under the cut because I think it's gonna be a wall of text I apologize guys...... This movie does things to my brain.

There's a scene that was cut where Vincent phones Nour while still at Sandra's, which I would have enjoyed a lot but I'll admit it's a bit filler-y. Doesn't add a lot and kinda cuts the serious tone of Sandra's confession, imo, as they discuss the judge's antics in a pretty comical manner. I just love Nour so I'm based......

Another, REALLY long scene that was cut where a medium comes into Sandra's house to feel Samuel's ghost and foreshadows Daniel poisoning Snoop with aspirin. I had a good laugh at that one, honestly. It feels pretty out of place with the tone of the movie, and the personality of the characters even... I can't picture Sandra calling a medium. I'm glad they removed it because the foreshadowing was unnecessary too. It's still interesting that they had planned it however.

This takes place after Vincent finds out about the tape. Interestingly, his whole line was cut after "before he died". In the movie, he never comments on Sandra's affairs/sexuality. He never really asks much about her life at all. He truly is blinded by his wish to shield himself from her inner demons, in order to maintain his undying loyalty towards her. To see what he wants of her...

Another scene that was completely cut (a flashback, I believe?) where Sandra makes Daniel pose for a german photographer to make some money, which Monica dislikes, and then they argue. I think it really frames her as too unsympathetic, so I'm also glad it was cut.

Okay, so now, here comes The Big Change. The scene where Vincent and Sandra drink together after the first trial was heavily altered, because its tone in the movie is pretty tense when compared with the lightheartedness of the script. In the script, they laugh and reminisce together about the past and even kiss at the end of the scene. In the movie, none of was I screenshot happens : instead of playing along with the 'firing Vincent' suggestion, the scene ends with Sandra scolding Vincent for judging her in his head. Vincent backs off and the scene ends. Another instance of him not pressing emotional depth to shield himself.

There are other scenes I liked (many that touch upon Sandra's books) but I'll stop there. Hope you'll enjoy that... I might draw some of these so stay tuned... This movie has absorbed my soul but it feels good to be alive, thank you Justine Triet.

Update on Things!

Hey yall, Sunny here!

I have been running the Bluesolarflare account for close to four years now! Surprisingly, I have been pretty consistent posting art, almost once a month (even when I didnt have access to my tablet)! For those who know me, they'll know how hard it is for me to even bring myself to post art, so I am very proud of all the work I have done and how much I had improved!

THAT BEING SAID: I am kinda burnt out on MCYT content :,). I'm finding it hard to keep drawing and kinda want to focus on my personal art (I am a year away from graduating from college :0 ). So consider this my formal hiatus announcement. I do not know how long I will be away, or if I will even return. But sincerely, THANK YOU ALL!! I read all the nice key smashes and character analysis under my art. I would not be the artist I am without y'all! I am forever grateful for all the mutuals and friends I have made throughout my time here. I will not be completely abandoning ship, worry not. I plan to continue using my account to view artist and support where I can! I just will not be making content.

I hope you all understand and thank you for everything !

its nothing new but i fell out of a few fandoms, gnshn mainly. due to all the ongoing drama w hoyogames caused by the fandom over the stupidest things (im not involved or get involved in any of that but it always happened i saw stuff here and there on my tl and its just wow), then all the stupid shit hyv pulled in the past months and get away with constantly, then how extremely time consuming and demanding and repetitive everything became etcetcetc i kinda have issues with playing their games. theres jsut no energy or interest left bc all this above is kinda outweighing anything that made me enjoy it before?

(i still adore a bunch of characters and might draw some again but i really am not sure if i will get into the game itself again. im just tired and nothing keeps me there anymore tbh)

zzz is enjoyable as its v chill on time and the team behind it is a new one so the game is sm more different it rlly doesnt feel like a hoyo game anymore. hsr is also ok tho i dont always keep track w it lately, sometimes i just get a bit bored of it when theres nothing interesting baiting me into finishing story stuff lol

i rlly have to say since i stopped actively playing gnshn/spending so much time with keeping up with hoyogames and do all my stuff there every single day, i feel mentally SO MUCH better and suddenly have sm good time to use for other things (also ngl i feel like having to keep up daily w those type of games/playing sm gacha turned me really stupid and impatient over the years)

i even got back to draw OCs and create a new comic again after almost 6 YEARSSSSS of not working on my own stories. im feeling really happy rn, drawing stuff that is not gnshn/hyv related be it my OCs or other things i rlly enjoy like alnst etc (its prolly also another reason why im going back to old, favorite things rn bc i wanna create for everything that is dear to me and i didnt do before bc i didnt have my artblog back then yet)

Holidays were weird 🤯 I got sick, I got unsettled, I did my first fanfiction-y writing (wtf? I write?) and my developing artstyle decided to unsettle me additionally, confusing my WIP and a genuinely asking feeling what for Maker’s sake is actually happening ❤️‍🩹

What is that Chaos Squad thing?

For those who don’t know – don’t get confused, the „Chaos Squad“ is working on a definition and is in it’s finding phase 😂 As I see this, we‘re fun chaotic artists / writers / else collab group and want people to enjoy fun and inspiring-each-other-into-creating escalations with us in the Star Wars fandom 🤩����✨

I can only speak for myself, but like some others of us, I play with my Star Wars OCs and the art-, reblog- or comment-chaos gets OC „flavoured“. But I’m not a roleplayer 😀 I stay artist Eobe and use for Chaos Squad activities my OCs mainly to give myself an art- and scene-fitting face insert in our together creations! ☺️ Feel yourself always invited to reach out if you want to ask something! ☕️

Check it out, the new chapter is so much fun to read and I love to have the honor to accompany it with my artworks – a new one freshly added at the end of the chapter, already showing some progress in my artstyle (if my eyes aren’t jinxed like everything else seems to be currently 😱)! The artwork will get its own posting of course, but I wanted to opt in back to you all with dragon 🐉✨

As I also absolutely unforeseen managed to write a „thing“ despite blockades – my unintroduced clone OC took over when I was massively unsettled and started his Matrix / Undercover coded loner mission against the inhibitor chips, knowing way too much… I think I call it „The Source Code“ 👀✨ and I‘m very tempted to deliver you the continuation that already roughs my brain (some were also asking for it 🙈 thank you so much)!

Okay, I’m at a computer again finally. I want to update and organize my rules before I do anything. It’s been a while since they’ve been changed and I really feel like I need to adjust them for my own comfort. Also, just a reminder @thylightbringer is my main Lucifer and one of my best friends. Things that reference a Lucifer in threads relate to them. We’re both silly little beans and you should definitely follow them if you don’t already. I adore B with everything I got.

They’re rather incredible writers who put great spirit and love into their muses. I haven't had the pleasure of interacting with all of them yet but I certainly watch them from afar, admiring the way that they write their muses. All of us put such depth thought love and passion into our muses and a lot of the time we don't feel like it gets seen read or cared about but that is certainly not the case. Though we might forget to leave a like or feel awkward giving a comment on something we're not a part of, everyone has carved out a wonderful spot for themselves in this silly little space.

Zowie, TJ and Luke are beautiful artists who put passion into making their muses come to life. Luke especially has poured time and effort into helping me bring Mike into reality on the wonderful art he has made for me. All three of them draw their own icons for their muses to breathe even more passion into the things they're making. The time, effort and love that has to take is beyond my small brains comprehension.

Gold I noticed draws too, I saw their wonderful art of Angel at Halloween in that kinky latex outfit which you can see on their artblog @golddraws and they are very much talented as well. I adore the way they play Angel and the absolutely amazing and hilarious Gingerbread fight that they engaged with me in. I still can't believe how long they kept that up with me without getting annoyed.

Autumn and Rory are two people I haven't gotten the chance to engage with yet but that I have carefully watched on the blog since sticking them in my pocket. Rory is very passionate about Paymon and the hcs, meta, various posts that they have made about them are absolutely brilliant to consume up. I absolutely love watching them engage with others. Autumn writes two other muses and the new bird along with Husk really are people Mike is going to scoop up and steal. Their blog aesthetics are so pretty and I adore Husk! He feels very on character from the posts I read from them. Especially with Angel, I read a lot of the Angel threads.

Charlie @chasingrainbcws is very aware of how I feel about them. Though it's been a while since we're written together (I need to throw some memes at you) they very much capture the feeling of Charlie herself from the show. I've only written with their Charlie and Emily (briefly her) but each interaction I got to do with the Princess of Hell very much felt like I could hear her voice or see her actually doing what she was in the show. I could clearly visualize our thread and I loved that. They are an amazing writer who really captures their muse well and I can't wait for the things we might get to do in the future. Either with Charlie or the other wonderful muses they write!

May @hotlhost is my newest friend who I've engaged with briefly but I loved and laughed so hard at the things we've done already. Charlie is absolutely brilliant and adorable and the interactions I've seen of them feel so spot on. Mike already very much wants to scoop his niece up and tuck her away somewhere where things won't get to her. I can't wait to see where their relationship develops when we get a real thread going!

Yata and Tordo are my friends and I will kill for them. @adflictus @solmxri are my chaotic partners in crime along with Bianca @thylightbringer. They've put up with me, listened to me ramble / cry / scream / have a breakdown more times than I can count. They've handled my for so long it should deserve some sort of metal of honor. They're all beautiful writers who have put so much time and effort into their muses (especially Tordo whose been around maybe even longer than me and created the Gabriel Yata writes), and the depth that all takes is remarkable. They all breathe such life into their muses and world and I love them. They will forever be a part of anything I create.

Okay, so hear me out- There is this AMAZING Hobbit fanfic that started in 2014, called Love Pays No Indemnity by Jana. Go check it out. I'll wait.

Now, I know Bilbo/The One Ring, Bilbo/Sauron may LOOK crazy, but I promise you it is genuinely one of the best things I have ever read IN MY LIFE. No, I know, Listen To Me. Every time I start reading this fic it consumes my life until I finish, and in fall of 2016 (which is the year I started reading) I actually started painting a comic of it.

Buuuut.... thanks to job hunting, working, exhaustion, depression, and a global pandemic, and then MORE WORK and EVEN MORE exhaustion I.... stopped painting. Not just this- for like two whole years I stopped painting, drawing, sketching entirely.

I was so tired, I had no space or energy to make any art, nevermind painting something this intense. I mean- I've never made a comic before! I've never tried to re-write a novel-style work into comic format! I don't know near enough about kerning or typesetting or whatever! If you squint at the image above you can see that I didn't even plan where to put the word bubbles! I just painted pretty pictures!~

Obviously, I had no clue what I was doing back then, and honestly I still don't have a clue now. But, I lost my job and searching for another one is both tiring and somehow even more soul-sucking than having a job is. Which means, I need to do something just to stay sane.

I was planning to revitalize my old artblog and post things there again, and I still will, but when I pulled these pages out of their dusty drawer and spread them out on my floor, I felt the urge of joyful creation. I loved painting this, I loved reading LPNI (for the fiftieth time), and I want to keep feeling that for as long as possible, so I decided that YES. I'm DOING IT!!

I am going to paint the rest of this comic chapter!

There's a lot to do to get there, but already, I'm planning more pages, getting more painted, figuring out how to do the word-bubble-thingies- it's going to happen!

Posting will begin on Friday- one page at a time! (look, I'm sorry, but these are 12"x18" paintings. I NEED TIME) If I get enough done, I might post more often, we'll see.

I have come seeking artistic wisdom... i really drawing and making art of ocs, and since i dont have anywhere else to show them to people, i wanna start posting art on tumblr!!

catch is, my tumblr is practically an echo chamber of my insane madman ramblings with a few reblogs sprinkled throughout, so ive considered making a separate artblog to nicely store my art in and shsre them around to!

would it be worth it to make that separate artblog?

Ultimately you have to decide if it’s worth it to you specifically! If I were to heed the villainous lessons I learned while taking marketing classes taught by Emperor Palpatine, I’d lean on the side of recommending to make a separate art blog, but I’ve sworn to never return to those dark days and practice the black magic of marketing again. So I’m going to say follow your heart.

For some people, they’d rather have a single blog where they keep everything in one place— if you’d rather go this route, I’d recommend making a pinned post that allows people to easily find dedicated tags for your art and OCs. Some people might hesitate to follow you in this case because they don’t want to see reblogs mixed in with your original content, but others might enjoy seeing your reblogs alongside your art and thoughts. If you’d personally like to keep your art in its own tidy little box on its own, a separate art blog is the way to go— I’d still recommend using tags to organize it for viewers, but it’s not as vital if you have a single blog for everything. Tags are like drawer organizers. If you’re putting everything into a single drawer, you definitely need an organizer to keep things usable. If you’re using multiple drawers, it’s not as necessary, but still very helpful.

As for me, I prefer keeping most of my reblogs in a secondary blog (@sincerely-sofie-shoebox) separate from my main one where I post all of my own work. I like to keep them separate to keep things easier for my followers— if they just want my art and writing, they can follow my main blog. If they want to see more of my interests, find trivia and behind-the-scenes insights, and get additional Sincerely Sofie Lore™️, they can follow my side blog as well! It also makes things easier on me. I can go to my side blog for inspiration and reference materials when I want to create, and I can go to my main blog to read through nice replies and reblogs when I’m having trouble falling asleep at night.

Really, though, it’s up to you and what best serves your goals and preferences!
