My preliminary headcanon's for Jason's face over time:

1.Jaybin

Headcanon that once Jay was living with Bruce and Alfred, he got a lot of baby fat on his face- he has wavy curly hair in my head. Teal eyes - very smiley.

2. Jaybin :(

No way that explosion and building collapsing didn't do some physical damage. In this the skin below his eye has been torn and ripped open, it was ripped to the bone - and his left cheekbone was fractured- I also imagine tears around his forehead and back of his skull from the crowbar - but kind of hidden by his hair. Also his hair was frizzled by the explosion and smoke.

3. Post revival - pre-utrh

I was gonna draw him at his revival but forgot :( -might draw this later but I imagine his mortician reconstructed his face - and since it was a closed casket funeral it didn't have to be super clean. His skin was kept together with staples -

post revival- in his time in the hospital catatonic, it healed super wonky and (based on my own surgical scars) it keloided in some areas and sunk in in some others - and because he wasn't able to treat them- they're super tough and pull at his skin and don't fade properly to white like they should. The scars from the staples are still there. The scar is also a little shiny where it keloided- idk why but my scars do it in certain lighting.

His face is a lot more masculine and older but it still has a decent amount of baby fat (he's still super young). This is about 2 years post revival so hes around 17 - very recently after his time in the pit. (I feel like 15-17 for a lot of kids has huge body and face changes so imagine mentally 15 yr old Jason suddenly so grown- might revise this to make him more baby looking)

The white hairs just begun to grow - i kept the baby curls because of course i did.

I bounce between whether or not the pit healed his scars or not because I find both so compelling- but as an artist i like drawing cool scars more.

4. Post-utrd

His face is a bit more defined again. - now featuring the batarang scar. I haven't put to much though into his other face scars yet so these may change yet again.

His scar has faded slightly but it still tugs on his face massively - it won't go white. He cant smile without it tugging uncomfortably- sometimes even hurting. He smirks like a loser instead. He frowns as his resting face both because hes a bitch but also because of the position of the scar.

Featuring the batarang scar yayyyyyyy- i also headcanon that the doesn't treat it correctly (do you think he has time to massage it and moisturize that many times a day??) so it tugs every time he turns his head.

The white hair has fully grown out and he got a haircut.

I also did one for his body scars - and one for arkham knight jason but i want to redo them with a little more research - quick preview of that though - arkham knight - dealing with the effects of undernourishment from his childhood and from his year with the joker - only grew to about 5'3. And mainline jason that didn't die grew to about 5'6. Will do a comprehensive headcanon list for different universe jays.

What about kind taking care of Urogi post-wing surgery... like, the old malformed wings that had been causing him such immense pain for so long, being surgically removed so that they can grow back in a healthy manner. Owner hand-feeding him when he was zonked out, giving him his nasty antibiotic pills, massaging his back when growing pains set in, etc.

• Though the recovery process sounds like just another way to hurt him, Urogi is too desperate to please you to protest it. He's not expecting you to take care of him afterward— getting left in a cage by himself to rest is really the best he's hoping for, and certainly nothing like the pampering that you have planned. His body doesn't have the strength to heal properly, so it's going to be a slow, uncomfortable few weeks while the wings grow back.

• Even fresh out of surgery, he's trying to move around. It's hard to get him to stay still, especially when he's too drugged and confused to understand that he needs to stay down and rest. Urogi knows he's vulnerable like this, and it's impossible to settle down when he's hurting and weak. In the end, the only thing that gets him to relax is petting. You'll have to stay by his side for long hours, offering comfort and touch until his agitated instincts start to believe he's safe enough to drop his guard a little bit.

• He can barely understand what's happening when you keep doting on him. You're petting him and keeping him well-fed, letting him eat from your hand, and giving him things that ease the lingering aches in his body, and it's so weird. At the same time that Urogi reflexively shies away from the attention, he wants it so badly that self-preservation soon fades away. Once the haze of the pain meds has worn off, he gets clingy— now that he knows he can have this, it feels too good not to seek out more and more.

• When his wings have fully grown in, they're normal again. They don't hurt, they move how they're supposed to, and if anything, they're even stronger than before. Realizing that he can fly again is the moment where Urogi's attachment to you reaches a whole new intensity. It's hard to believe you've done so much for him, but he couldn't be happier that you did. He'll be showing off for you constantly now, a display of pride and gratitude that he can have this again. It does wonders for his mental state.

hello!!! I just wanted to say congratulations on getting your top surgery appointment! Unfortunately I'm not a fat trans masc so I don't have any experience with the weight gain aspect of top surgery. But I did wanna give you some tips I didn't know when I got my surgery!

1. Eat more protein! My surgeon didn't tell me this which sucked but you're actually supposed to eat about 1.5 times the normal amount of protein you're supposed to eat to help with the regrowth of muscles when you get top surgery.

2. Massage your top surgery scars! Not only is it hot but it also helps with scar tissue not build up on the inside.

3. Get yourself some scar tape. You're surgeon will tell you if you're a black/person of color you do have a higher likelihood of keloiding so if you want your scars to thin out and look as natural as possible invest in that! (Oh and if you don't know what a keloid is, it's essentially the overgrowth of scar tissue. So if you've ever gotten a really nasty scar and noticed the skin is slightly raised and kinda lumpy that's a keloid!)

And 4. take it easy and gentle with yourself. Unfortunately/fortunately I got my top surgery the summer before I went to college but I had no one to help me move into my dorm so it fucked up the healing on one side of my chest. Still looks pretty good but most of my scar keloided which can affect tattoos if you ever plan on getting that area tattood. That's all I can think of for the moment but I hope you have a really good surgical team working with you and wish you all the best! DM me if you have any questions, I'm happy to help!

Today's (7/15/2024) Episode: The Verdict

After another half hour with no news on Noemi, Luigi’s worry and prayers turned into simmering anger at the uncommunicative hospital staff.

He marched up to the reception clerk. “This is unacceptable! You whisked my fiancé away hours ago, and I’ve received ZERO updates on how she’s doing. You keep saying someone will tell me soon, and no one ever comes!” He refused to move from the desk until he watched the clerk page the doctor. 

It was all Luigi could do to keep from lashing out at everything and everyone as he stalked angrily back to “his” corner of the waiting room.

Just before he stomped up to the desk a fourth time, a sim in a white lab coat called his name and led him to a small consultation room.

Dr. Hinds told him that Noemi had suffered a serious post-partum hemorrhage. It appeared that a piece of placenta that had remained stuck to her uterine wall following Skye’s birth had been dislodged somehow by the massage she’d received. 

His team had been able to remove the retained placenta surgically and stop the bleeding, but Noemi had lost a lot of blood and needed more than one transfusion. However, Dr. Hinds was happy to report that she was expected to make a full recovery and they could bring Luigi to see her now.

The wave of tension leaving Luigi’s body when he heard Noemi was going to be OK left him feeling wrung out and wobbly as jello.

He managed to stand and shake the doctor's hand, expressing mostly coherent thanks for saving his fiancée’s life.

While he waited for someone to come escort him Luigi called his family to tell them the good news, eagerly accepting their offer to stay on in Sulani until Noemi was recovered. He hadn’t even begun to consider how he was going to manage caring for Skye and continuing to work.

When he finally walked into her recovery room, Luigi found Noemi not only alive, but awake and staring back at him. She looked weak and groggy, but her gentle smile when she saw him was possibly the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

“Well, hello stranger. This isn’t the date night I … mmmph!” her greeting was cut off by her overjoyed fiancée drowning her in kisses.

“Ok, ok” she laughed, pushing his head gently back to where they could talk more normally. “Did the doctor tell you much? Its all a bit fuzzy to me.”

Luigi filled her in as best he could. Truth be told he hadn’t caught all the details either, having been alternately too angry, scared, and relieved to pay full attention. The main thing was that Dr. Hinds had said she should make a full recovery. As far as he was concerned that was all that mattered.

After that they chatted about Skye’s upcoming birthday and Luigi’s families plan to stay and help care for him, until Noemi’s eyelids started to droop.

Rising, Luigi gave his girl a kiss and tucked her in, promising “I’ll be back first thing in the morning”. As he left, he offered a silent thank you to The Watcher. He couldn’t know for sure if they’d intervened, but if they’d had a hand in Noemi’s recovery, he wanted them to know he appreciated it.

His little family was whole once more, and he intended to cherish them with all his heart.

For the record, The Watcher did not intervene. I also have no idea what I did (if anything), gameplay wise, to cause this. I’m guessing the massage but I’m honestly not sure.

2 months post op

What a mind fuck. 2 months post op. Tomorrow is my last day of physical therapy. I finally have my arm mobility restored! I even went back to Pilates the other day, I’m so sore but it’s a good sore. I have 3 more lymphatic drainage massages left then I’m done. TBH I don’t think they’ve really don’t anything for me post op. They’re important that first week to get the tumescent fluid out but if you are at your goal weight and barely swelled I don’t think it makes that big of difference. In the same breath I fit better into my faja than I did 2 weeks ago but I think that’s the vaser lipo working.

I have been lazy with my vitamins (what else is new?) it’s just I have too many. I start Invisalign on Tuesday so I’m hoping that’ll be the kick start to my 30 days no sugar. I just need a detox from it. Had ice cream today from a local place I used to be obsessed with and it just didn’t taste the same. It’s sad but I swear I don’t have those sugar cravings anymore. They used to be so intense that I would leave the house in the middle of the night to buy something sweet. Now I have a homemade chocolate covered banana slice and I’m good.

It’s so crazy looking at old photos and seeing how my natural body could never become my post surgical body. No amount of gym could give my body an hourglass figure. People get so mad that others can just pay for a perfect body lol

I need to call a medspa and start scheduling facial treatments. I need a chemical peel and a facial. Since I’m not longer spending money on physical therapy and massages I can focus on my face. I want to get spray tans as well but I can’t stand the transfer. What is the solution? I’m so pasty, specially my legs.

I stopped wearing shape wear under my faja and I feel soooooooo much better. I swear shape wear snatches you better than a faja. I don’t see myself spending $200+ on a faja ever again. Amazon has some really good ones if I need an extra unf underneath my body con dresses (yes that’s allllll I’m wearing this summer).

3 months post op I’ll be out of town. That’s when I’ll start wearing the faja for 12 hours. Probably only at night. I’ll be updating monthly from now on. I’m thinking about making a post about ab boards and foams for educational purposes.

5 Months Post Op

I've been back through this blog, and I'm trying to see if there's any further progress. I'm not sure.

I did really well with the massage for a while, but once again it's kind of trailed off.

Here is where we are at:

I have been consistently working on my arms, shoulders, and chest muscles, in an effort to build the shape I want, as that wasn't a surgical option (as part of the risk reduction for BC, the surgeon took all the tissue, so no masculinisation was done on the operating table).

However, that is but one pose.

From the sides, the lumpy-bumpiness is a little more prevalent:

Once I'm fully employed again, I think I may join a gym and take advantage of a PT, to see if there is some way I can fill in the sunken areas with muscle.

The scars look pretty good, too:

I imagine they will continue to fade with time.

The mark near my hand is where I was cauterized with the diathermy after they hit a particularly insistent blood vessel.

There is still a lot of temperature-numbness, and it feels a little tight when I rotate my arms, but that will probably pass, in time.

I have a holiday booked for 5 months from now, and am keeping optimistic about my ability to swim and sunbathe shirtless.
