hungry bacon, petaling jaya.
came here for dinner with friends during hari raya long weekend, the place was packed during dinner time because it’s quite cozy and there’s limited tables, so reservation is definitely recommended.
the menu is filled with various type of porky dishes, it is best to share so that you can try more than a dish or two. we ordered pumpkin salad, sausage platter, bacon cone, lollipop bacon and pork tomahawk to share among the five of us. the food presentation is beautiful, everything looks appetizing.
pumpkin salad is enjoyable, but the portion is quite small. sausage platter is really good, love the variety of sausages we got and the sauce and baked garlic is really matching. bacon cone is really aesthetic, difficult to share though, the cone is super crispy so it’s very nice to eat. lollipop bacon looks cute, the meat is tender and flavorful. pork tomahawk took a while to arrive and the portion is huge. the meat is flavorful and tender, balanced between lean and fats, the garlic is really the perfect match.
everyone is full and satisfied by the end of the meal, as having so much meat is definitely heavy. this is a nice restaurant to come by to enjoy really good porky dishes with friends and just chill and hang out.

Before I knew it, it was 4:15 pm and time to board the lift to the space station for dinner.
The food was exquisite, the ambiance was out of this world, pun intended 😊. I loved every minute of it. During the time you are sitting there, in the windows you can see spaceships coming into dock or leave and even spacemen floating by.
It was worth every dollar 💵 it cost to enter, I am so thankful we got a reservation. This is definitely one of the highlights of the trip from me.
FYI, I had the adults Dinner, with a choice of starter, main and dessert, so I had the Roasted Beet Salad, followed by the Tomahawk Pork Chop, finished of with Carrot Cake. Joanne had the kid’s menu, with a main and dessert, she had Galactic Salmon followed by Vanilla Gelato Scoop.

Left our friends’ home in the Seattle area and drove to their mountain “cabin” east of Snoqualamie Pass. What a stunning home, with a very tall cathedral ceiling and incredible views of the lake below! Their loving attention to detail is evident throughout the house, and they said they built it to enjoy with their family and friends. Their small cockapoo loves it there too! After settling in, we drove to a nearby resort for dinner at a restaurant attached to a winery. The food was fantastic (after amazing appetizers our friends had steak and we had pork tomahawk), and the accompanying red blend was extremely good. After dinner we returned for some nice conversation before bed.

7/4/2024 - Dinner
📍 The Prince, Tanjong Pagar
(formerly Fat Prince)
Restaurant charges GST and service charge but it's not reflected in the prices here.
🍽 Cauliflower Baba Ganoush ($19)
Nicely seasoned and tasty with the flatbreads! Couldn't stop eating it.
🥖 Sweet Potato Shoreek ($19)
Fluffy but substantial bread that goes extremely well with the fig butter. Had to pack half of this but they didn't want to pack the fig butter.... Had to ask for it. (paying this price and not bothering with the fig butter? Sheesh)
🐷 Pork Tomahawk ($96)
Tender and seasoned well with a nice smokey taste. Has a good amount of fat. The sauce that shiners was the salsa.
🍨 Date Pudding Cake ($16)
This was rather disappointing. The cake wasn't that warm. It's a rather meh dessert to end a nice meal. They didn't have kunefe as an ala carte dessert.
🍸 Baklava Milk Punch ($22)
Amaretto Disaronno, coconut water, sambuca and pistachio milk. It's a sweet and almondy drink.
🥃 Complementary Drink
Bergamot mint tea with pistachio and rose hip syrup and a hit of rum. Sweet and refreshing! It's really good!

Introducing New Menu at Hard Rock Hotel's The Kitchen Restaurant
Nestled under the pool on the first floor of the Hard Rock Hotel is one of the hidden gems of dining at Universal Orlando Resort. The Kitchen, when recently reopened after renovations, is one of my favorite personal favorite places to grab a bite, especially with their new barbecue-inspired menu items.
I was excited to get the chance to sit down with Executive Chef Jeffrey Hileman to talk about the new menu items and give them a try for myself.
Many of the new menu items at The Kitchen were born out of the temporary barbecue pop-up restaurant that was open while The Kitchen was under renovation. "Guests loved the freshly smoked menu items that were available during that time and so me and my team worked to incorporate the smoker into the new menu," says Chef Jeffrey.
One such appetizers is the Smoked Chicken Wings with peach BBQ sauce. These wings combine everything I want in a wing in one delicious dish. They are juicy and smoky, and the sauce has a slight sweetness to it, but in a delightful, rather than distracting way. It took everything I had to not polish off the plate myself.
Another new item that utilizes The Kitchen's smoker is one of my favorite entrees, the Smoked Turkey Reuben. If you're fan of the sort of gooey, saucy, acidic flavors of a standard Reuben, this sandwich is going to blow you away. The addition of the smoked turkey brings even more complexity to a meal that already has so many great flavors going on. "This dish that I sued to make all of the time for family gatherings. And so it holds a special place in my heart," Chef Jeffery said. I'm glad he decided to share it with guests, too! (P.S. get the onion rings as your side- they are crispy and crunchy and HUGE!)
If you're looking for other dishes that bring the smoky flavors (literally) to the table, The Kitchen also features a Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich and Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich, both created using the Kitchen's smoker.
My other favorite entree, though, is the one that I wouldn't have expected- the Fish and Chips. You might be thinking, "But tons of restaurants have fish and chips! What makes theses so special?" I'm here to tell you that The Kitchen might have the best friend dish I've ever had. Chef Jeffrey explained what makes it so unique: "What we do is take phyllo dough and dry it out overnight and crunch i up very fine by hand with gloves on," he says. "I find that it creates a lighter, crispier crunch."
And, if you're looking for a less- heavy option before you hit the pool, the Kitchen has some salads that are hearty enough to fill you up, and are refreshing and full of flavor.
The Avocado Wedge Salad looks simple but the combination of the pureed avocado, smoked bleu cheese, savory bacon and crips lettuce provide an incredible flavor palette.
I'm generally not the type of person to order a salad at a restaurant, but I was blown away by the Korean Chopped Steak Salad. While I was busy inhailing it, Chef Jeffery explained how the salad was conceptualized. "Anytime I'm putting together a salad, I'm thinking about textures and flavors and even temperatures, as is the case with this one," he says. "I just like those different contrasts when we're creating menu items."
"So, you get the nice, cool, crunchy salad that has the sweetness and acidity, some umami with the vinaigrette and then of course the nice, warm tender steak that we put on top," he said. Those contrasts are exactly what makes the salad a must-try.
Of course, The Kitchen still features guest favorites, like the Crispy Bussel Sprouts and Hand-Breaded Calamari, both of which are deserving of the fans they have garnered.
And, if you're visiting for dinner and want a unique experience, the 48oz Bone-In Tomahawk for Two is Chef Jeffrey's recommendation. "The steak comes with duck-fat fingerling potatoes and broccolini, which is grilled with a little bit of olive oil and lemon zest," he says.
This steak is a true show-stopper, served on a platter with carrot emulsion and a variety of salts-roasted black garlic salt, smoked bacon sea salt and merlot salt- allowing guests to try different combinations to find their favorite.
"We slice the steak and fan it out and let the guests experiment with the different salts. People go nuts for it," Chef Jeffrey says.
I don't know about you, but I'm full just thinking about all those delicious options, but the desserts at The Kitchen are not to be missed.
The Flourless Chocolate Crunk Cake (pictured above) might be one of the prettiest desserts I've had in a long time- and it tastes as good as it looks! It has a very rich chocolate flavor without feeling too heavy and the pistachio ganache and sweet whipped cream are perfect complements.
Another popular item is the S'more Brownie Sundae, which is another dish that started as part of the barbecue pop-up but stuck around because of how beloved it has been. This is exactly what a brownie sundae should be: gooey, warm and comforting. Grab your friend sand some spoons because this is the perfect dessert to share.
My personal favorite though is the Oreo Cheesecake. I love cheesecake but I'm extremely pick about it. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best I've ever had. You can see the way they stacked entire Oreo cookies in the dessert, which blend perfectly with the rich, creamy filling. I would visit the Kitchen just to get this dessert- it is genuinely that good.
There's one more thing to check out on our whirlwind tour of The Kitchen, and that's the gorgeous and spacious bar. You certainly could get comfy here for some date-night drinks and there are several signature cocktails, each inspired by the personalities of The Kitchen staff and their passion for music.
My personal favorite is Touch of Grey, which is a beautiful combination of bourbon, orange bitter, and Earl Grey syrup. It tastes like an Old Fashioned that got a glam-up and has a strong bourbon flavor without as much of a bite.
Another great option, especially on a warm Florida day, is the Summer Cabernade. It is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, lemon, strawberry, and simple syrup. it is tart and refreshing and would go well with nearly any dish at The Kitchen.
I'm admittedly not much of a gin drinker, but if you're looking for an unusual drink full of complex flavors, the Jimmy Germain is your drink. In addition to gin, this drink includes elderflower liqueur, lemon, cucumber and blackberry.
Have you been to The Kitchen? Share your favorite drink or dish with me in the comments!

Restaurants at Sky River Casino
SR PRIME STEAKHOUSE is oozing with an expense-account vibe, replete with expansive leather banquettes, blingy light fixtures and towers of wine displayed in a massive 슬롯사이트 glass enclosure. This is meat-and-potatoes territory, with a few surprises thrown in. Hard-core carnivores will gravitate toward the chef’s cuts, which include a 48-ounce Black Angus tomahawk for $128 (the priciest item on the menu). For a steakhouse, seafood gets decent billing here, with a handful of raw bar items (including scallop crudo and piquant tuna tartare) as well as lobster and salmon entrees.
about:blank
A gastropub on steroids, 32 BREWS STREET serves a well-rounded menu of casual pub grub—think burgers, sandwiches (the mile-high club sandwich is stacked to impress) and crowd-pleasing 메리트카지노 appetizers like wings and nachos—in a setting with too many TV screens to count. The restaurant’s spacious lounge area, outfitted with leather settees and wingback chairs, is a stylish place to watch a game while enjoying some cold ones with friends in between hands of blackjack.
DRAGON BEAUX, with its dramatic wooden ribbed towers rising up around chic red booths, boasts Sky River’s most striking dining room. An offshoot of the popular San Francisco joint of the same name, the restaurant delivers traditional 우리계열카지노 and modern dim sum dishes (highlights include abalone siu mai, Wagyu bao and fan favorite chicken paw in black bean sauce) as well as classics like Peking duck with pancakes and dried scallop fried rice. Don’t let Dragon Beaux’s limited hot pot options—just two types each of meat and noodle—steer you off course from an otherwise gratifying menu.
At The Market, Sky River’s version of a food court (without the loitering teenagers), the best bet is to focus on proven concepts from established restaurateurs. At FUKURO BY KRU, the truncated menu of sushi rolls, nigiri and small 카지노검증업체 plates makes this joint a fast casual winner. The Kru quality shines through here; just don’t come expecting the type of high-end dishes that the parent restaurant is known for. San Francisco-based ROLI ROTI excels at mouthwatering rotisserie fare, including a succulent crispy porcetta sandwich on a roll smeared with onion marmalade. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts, both doused with pork and chicken drippings and seasoned with rosemary salt and lime, are worthy accompaniments. The best 바카라부대 things going at DESSERTS are the pies from Sacramento’s beloved Real Pie Company and ice cream from perennial favorite Gunther’s.
