Ja tror det! Alternativt läst denAlternativt läst den, och zappat förbi filmen ett flertal gånger. Oklart i mitt huvudet det... Men på något sätt har jag konsumerat detta verkar i min tonår, men förträngt exakt hurMin mamma har ett stort fan av boken (mamma älskar: social realism. Arbetarlitteratur, norrland. Klassskildringar. Skildringar av folk som "har det förjävligt". Mamma största komplimang till en bok är "den är helt hemsk men bra") Mamma har hursomhelst tack vare detta även återberättat ett flertal scener ifrån den för mig. Så även där kommer en del av min fragmatiska förståelse för boken ifrån. Tror jag.....

What image do you have as a wallpaper? On my laptop I have a picture of Marvel's Thor, on my phone my lock screen is Yuri Plisetsky and my home screen is some roses and polka dots, on my iPad I have Morgana from Persona 5.

Ever had a crush on a teacher? Nope, all the teachers in my schools were either too old or too annoying or smelt like stale coffee.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? Hopefully doing something that makes me happy. I doubt my life will change that much from how it is now. I'll probably still be into fandoms and video games and movies and all the things I'm into now.

Coolest Halloween costume: Halloween isn't a thing where I live, but I did once go to a Halloween party at a friend's house dressed as Mr. Orange from Reservoir Dogs. I’m pretty sure I was far from cool, though.

Favorite 90s show: I was completely obsessed with Xena and I adore Twin Peaks, even though I was too young to watch it when it originally aired and only saw it years later during reruns.

Last kiss: I was kissed on New Year's Eve and didn't appreciate it one bit.

Ever been stood up? One time by my ex-bff when we were teenagers, because she wanted to meet with some random guy who allegedly had free booze or something. Things were pretty frosty between us for a few days lol.

Ever been to Vegas? Yeah, during a family trip to the west coast about ten years ago. I still can't believe that place exists! It's somehow even more surreal than it is in movies.

Favorite pair of shoes? My leopard print sneakers :D

Favorite fruit? I'm allergic to lots of fruit, but I do love me some honeydew melon.

Favorite books? I have to admit that I don't read that many books these days, because I prefer to read about my OTPs falling in love over and over again :3 But some books I re-read every few years include The Lord of the Rings, Sinuhe the Egyptian, the Shining and Populärmusik från Vittula.

Stupidest thing I’ve ever done: I do stupid things all the time, but nothing so big so far that I'd be living with permanent consequences. The dumbest thing would probably have to be getting blackout drunk when I was 14 and having my parents come and get me home from a party, but at least I have no memory of it.

The novel Populärmusik från Vittula (Popular Music from Vittula) (2000) by Tornedalian author Mikael Niemi became very popular both in Sweden and in Finland. The novel is composed of colourful stories of everyday life in the Tornedalian town of Pajala. The novel has been adapted for several stage productions, and as a film in 2004.

In addition to wanting to end swedish teathre tendency to crawl on the floor to express emotions, I also wanna bring the awkward and waaaay to drawn out sex scene in Swedish movies, were okish to ugly actors are nude in a manner you just don’t wanna see

People think swedish sin: actors being fresh, nude and beautiful in movies

Reality: in a social realistic movie, two actors (who irl are a now divorced married couple) have a anxiety filled straight sex scene were no one appears to gain any enjoyment from the sex. Afterwards they look displeased and move on with the plot.

The sex scene is badly lit, the actors mostly look like your average middle age people (just kinda meh), it’s all just very ugly

Mina första intryck av Populärmusik från Vittula

Jag har nu läst de första fem kapitlen av Populärmusik från Vittula, skriven av Mikael Niemi och fått ett bra första intryck. Boken är skriven med ett bra flyt som verkligen drar läsaren till berättelsen och har ett skrivsätt som ofta beskriver händelser med en allvarligare underton på ett lättsamt och rentav humoristiskt sätt. 

Att händelserna i Populärmusik från Vittula är analyserade på ett ett sätt som barn inte tycks reflektera kring händelser i deras liv får mig att undra kring "berättar-jaget", min teori är att Matti som vuxen reflekterar över händelser i sin barndom. 

Även fast boken är skriven på ett relativt humoristiskt sätt tas frågor upp som minoritetsgrupper i Sverige. I Populärmusik från Vittula beskrivs Pajalas befolkning som i periferin i förhållande till andra svenskar eller finskar och anses inte riktigt tillhöra något av folkslagen eller ha någon betydelse för landets historia eller framtid. Ett exempel på detta är när Matti och Niila studerar en kartbok och ser att Skåne är tryck i en lika stor skala som hela Norrland. Barnen ansågs från en tidig ålder vara så gott som odugliga och den enda möjligheten att lyckas bli någonting överhuvudtaget var att flytta därifrån. 

"Med tiden förstod vi att vår hembygd egentligen inte tillhörde Sverige. Vi hade liksom kommit med av en tillfällighet. Ett nordligt bihang, några ödsliga myrmarker där det råkade bo människor som bara delvis förmådde vara svenskar. Vi var annorlunda, en aning underlägsna, en aning outbildade, en aning fattiga i anden.”
