Such double standards for measuring her up, while agreeing that there's every possibility that he might have fathered a kid out of wedlock? Gauri was judged even when she wasn't remotely related to him, but thought it was quite OK for him to have a kid with his ex live in partner? Shoddy writing, innit?

Oh definitely poorwriting. Coz the Baby Bunty track was all fun and games and even then, both Anika and Gauri were very accepting of the baby, acknowledging that this child very much may be their husband's biological kid from a premarital relationship. We even have a repeat of this track with that Attar Pattar bacha, where it's played off as comedy again. But the moment the fidelity in question is of the FL (Anika during the Vikram track, Gauri's wholeass DBO track + English lessons, Bhavya marrying someone else) the men start stirring shit and putting aspersions on their characters.
