I think an underrated angle on 2x05 is something that either Jacob or Assad said in some interview somewhere, which is that in that episode Louis is addicted to heroin. Thats why he has that whole stash of drugs that he gives to Daniel, that's why he gives Daniel the drugs even though he's already got him alone. He didn't just use those 128 boys for sex he was using them to get high. Bring them home, get them to shoot up, and then drain them to get that secondhand high.

It clarifies something that's always confused me about that scene, which is why Armand saves Daniel the first time. He wouldn't save Daniel as a person, he clearly knows Daniel needs to die, but he's not seeing Daniel as a person there. Daniel is just a substance. He rips him away from Louis to stop him from using.

And i think that adds a whole other layer to the fight he and Armand have to think that this is Louis on a bender, with Armand cleaning up after him because he's not stable enough to. Louis in the bed for a week isn't just healing from the burns, he's going through withdrawal. Him at the table with Daniel giving him the "bright young reporter" speech is probably the first time he's been sober in months.

It adds another layer to Armand's desperation, that Louis has been running from both Armand and himself in this way, and of course Armand wants to erase that memory. Of course he wants to pretend that that fight never happened. Not just to protect himself but in a way to protect Louis from having said those things. When he describes the fight to Louis afterwards, he says "you said the worst things you've ever said to me." And he doesn't really know how to forgive Louis for that so he just wants to bury this rock-bottom moment and move on like it never happened. After all, Louis was high, he didn't really mean it, but if he remembers then maybe he might think that he had a point. Better to wipe the whole experience away.

fierce corpse yiling laozhu following jiang cheng from the burial mounds. jiang cheng keeping the fierce corpse of his shixiong in lotus pier. dragging back demonic cultivators to 'interview' on fierce corpse care. demanding suibian back from the jin. demanding wei wuxian's notes.

mo xuanyu calls back wei wuxian. the rumors wei wuxian hears are mostly the same but the flavor is sharper. sect leader jiang is still hunting his shixiong's ghost. even going so far as to challenge the chief cultivator over his belongings.

jiang cheng sneers at him, that he thought wei wuxian would pick something better for a body.

the golden core reveal throws jiang cheng badly (was he delusional all these years?) and he still goes to guanyin temple and gets skewered and gives back the chengqing. and the story play out as it does.

except for when jiang cheng goes home, his fierce corpse has broken containment and gotten its hands on suibian. it waits for him in his room, taking a fake nap on his bed, and when jiang cheng comes in, it tries to drag him into a spar until the blood registers. jiang cheng isn't having that. he knows, he's been deluding himself making a mindless monster act like wei wuxian. thinking that a part of wei wuxian wanted to stay with him after all. what a fool, he was. he should really put an end to this farce. before he can draw sandu the fierce corpse attempts to decapitate himself with suibian which it drew. jiang cheng decides that maybe he shouldn't judge too quickly.

so this is how jiang cheng ends up taking his secret fierce corpse with him, he won't leave his side, he won't give up suibian. he gets him to put on a veil at least. but that still means that he hits the next cultivation conference with a man trailing his every step who's carrying wei wuxian's sword and constantly teasing him. and as much as he tries to hide it, he can't hide how much he likes that.

the cultivation world is largely torn between three reactions; a) what the fuck? what the fuck? b) it's nice that sect leader jiang has relaxed a bit. you know? c) drama!!! the sheer drama!!! of it. they thought jin guangyao's scandalous downfall was good? hahh this is a thousand times better. the front row seats for the first cultivation conference with hanguan-jun/wei wuxian and jiang cheng/SIC in attendance are sold for the price of small cities.

The first metaphorical faceful of windswept snow and the fuckign plural voice of the Witness and the first taste of a new subclass and the fuckign beautiful ass environments at midnight did feel pretty nuts in that state tho

I actually love doing hands-on light to medium physical labor in which I can see the progress I'm making. I wish I could do it more often but I'm thankful my body's held up for two days!

i think a thing im v passionate abt is music. or rather, listening to music. i listen to it when i work, when i drive, when i clean, when i walk. i spend several hours every day listening to music. once during a trip i didn't have the time to listen to music for several days and when i finally turned on some music it felt like the world was suddenly filled w more color and life. i once was so overwhelmed w awe and beauty listening to a song for the first time that it caused me to have a panic attack. in, like, a good way, like, wow, look at that song, it touched me so deeply that i lost control of my body for a moment. i sometimes get teary eyes or goosebumps when listening to music. i listen to the same song for hours on repeat. i don't know anything abt making music btw. i took guitar lessons for some time but im not talented or good at it and it took too much effort to continue. i love the sounds a guitar makes though. i also don't remember any music theory. i have a friend who's naturally talented at playing the guitar but they didn't enjoy it but even after years of not having picked up a guitar they can still play songs at birthday parties. i think it's funny that they are naturally good at it but they hate doing it and i love it but im not good at it at all.

What if that is how Lizzie was born?

Someone, or even Diana, says that she has a daughter while holding the lasso and because she's holding it the lie becomes 'truth'.

It would also make sense why she would even keep the lasso of lies as maybe she needs to hold it to stay tethered to reality, to stay alive. Especially since it's wrapped around her more like an accessory than equipment.

And also why she feels so disconnected from her 'mother' Diana, because Diana is a woman of truth and she was born of lies.

Plus this would also make it so Diana doesn't have to 'spend time' pregnant in the world of comics, people will believe she had already been pregnant, and also do away with any questions of who Lizzie's dad is (unless she makes the lie while holding the rope with someone, or the 'King of America' created her to burden Diana and so he is technically her father).

I hate that I'm thinking of this. I blame all the artists I like announcing their own variant covers for the Trinity special dropping in 2024. Shows how much DC really wants this to be a success + want to sell as many as possible using variant covers to point to as proof of concept (like they're doing with the WW series rn - why wait until NOW for Jim Lee to do the final piece of the triptych).

Figured out why the catfood colony was dying off so bad and it was because the spray bottle I was using to mist them was still leeching out floor cleaner from the plastic enough to make the lower soil level reek of it. Ive spent the past 2 days picking through their container grabbing any survivors and I have them all moved into a new significantly smaller Tupperware with fresh potting soil, there's roughly 20 of them left mostly juveniles but I expect at least 5 of them to die from stress from being constantly moved :/

first, i wanna talk about the deflowered version of his card 'cuz !!!!! look at how soft his expression looks!! the gentle look in his eyes, the tiny blush and everything. i also love that they chose to draw him in a white coat. it suits him very well!!! and the blue and white flowers?!?? perfect!👌 overall he looks like he's asking for your hand in marriage (and he looks SO GOOD in white).

nothing much to say in part 1. to summarize it, he messed up by opening a forbidden book, and to make up for his mistake, he's helping with the decorations for the party.

in part two, mc and solomon were tasked with putting the decorations up, and he's mostly relying on magic (very typical of him), up to the point where the ornaments are also influenced by magic and start to move around on its own. in this part i feel like he's playing around. there's also a scene (depends on the choice) where luke scolded him for swapping one of the stickers with his chocolate. 

in part three, mc and solomon decided to take a short break from the event. nothing much to note, except for one part where he said he wasnt feeling the holiday spirit after the forbidden book mishap.

in part four, solomon brought mc to a shop and gave them a bouquet he had reserved for them. he confessed that he was planning on giving it to them on valentines day along with some homemade sweets from the forbidden cookbook, which, if you'll recall, ended in disaster. and then mc and solomon had a mutual understanding and bought simeon and luke a bouquet of balloons as a thank you. if you picked the "does this bouquet come in other colors too?" option, you'll get a scene where mc also gave solomon a gift. after that, the angels also gave mc and solomon some sweets they had saved from the party. this part reminded me of how much i missed the purgatory hall squad. even in this timeline, they're still looking out for each other.

storywise, i think it's okay. it's not as exciting as the other devilgram stories. no lore drop, and the romance scenes are aight. i liked the extra scenes you'll get depending on your choice, esp. that scene where mc bought him a gift without solomon noticing.

I want to build a fort with a sign on the door that reads "No uggos allowed" but I never stop anyone from coming in ever even if they look like a literal eldrich horror so it both promotes positivity in the sense that no one is denied meaning no one is ugly and also that it confuses the hell out of all visitors as to the origins of the sign and to what exactly I consider to be ugly
