Bunker Babe: The First Fourteen Days

I'm combining Weeks One & Two since Week Two was all about giving the GREMLINS trait to the lot for the HANDINESS grind, and days blended together verrrrry easily. But Lilac survived. Ish.

See?

On Day One, our plucky heroine started with a CHAIR, a TRASH CAN and a TOILET - and some fruitcake that she'd snatched from Leslie Holland and the rest of the 'welcoming' committee.

Turns out that fruitcake is a 'like,' which is fortunate as guess what we'll be eating exclusively for the next four days? Looks like three things have the capacity to survive MOTHER: cockroaches, Lilac... and fruitcake.

Many terrible selfies later, Lilac was able to afford a KNITTING BASKET. While wearable items can only be sold over Plopsy, the animal clothing (some of which you can start crafting right from Level 1) can be sold directly from your inventory. And Lilac needed those simoleons - stat.

Level Three KNITTING and ART LOVER self-discovery? Acquired. Considering how she'll be making most of her simoleons, that's one of the more useful traits she could have.

Oh, and one of MOTHER'S children said hello.

By Day Two Lilac's hygiene needs were already in the amber, but the Watcher thought that loneliness could eventually get her first. So the new objects acquired? A BED aaand a MINI-GOAT.

We named her Gouda Girl.

On the third day in hiding the Watcher gave to me... one MINI FRIDGE and a Vladdy visit for freeeee...

(Actually the Watcher had nothing to do with Vlad.)

While Lilac was asleep, I got his usual creepwalk message but thought nothing more of it - at least until the fastforward sleep speed slowed back down to regular time and I heard the usual sounds of sizzling and screaming.

Since Lilac had no interaction with him at all and didn't even register his demise (maybe he can't find your Sim if they're in the basement), there were no sad moodlets and she simply continued knitting and keeping up her social bar with Gouda Girl.

Gouda Girl can also be milked for 45 simoleons each day, and thus will pay for herself in no time. Beyond her companionship, which of course is priceless.

Day Four and this was around the time where the Watcher discovered that Lilac's energy bar was refilling way too slowly. Yes, her mattress was cheap but she was sleeping for 10 hours at a time and still only recovering about a third of her bar. The Watcher sold the old bed, cheated her a better one - and yet the problem persisted.

It could be the LAZY trait, but I've never had that issue with other LAZY Sims before - or Lilac other times that I've played her.

Since bunker life is already boring enough without watching a Sim sleep for 20 hours, I simply resolved to use the 'make happy' cheat every other day until her HANDINESS would be at a high enough level to upgrade the mattress (thus Week Two Gremlins).

And it was on this day that Lilac consumed the last of the fruitcake.

By then she was getting major moodlets for too many fast meals, but Gouda Girl made everything better.

The two big gets of the day were a ROCKING CHAIR and a KITCHEN BENCH, so Lilac was finally able to prep some proper food. Ish.

Ah, the bliss of low poly salad...

Oh, and on Day Three I think Lilac acquired a SINK. No shower yet, but queuing the 'wash hands' interaction did restore a lot of her hygiene bar.

Day Five and well - what a great whim for this challenge.

She's like 'yes, see this here? I'm the smartest Sim you ever had...'

More knitting, while Mei Prescott kindly came by to mourn Vlad, much to the delight of the garden gnomes.

The bat came back, the very next day...

He came, he haunted his own urn, he cried. Lilac kept on knitting and skill grinding.

Since Lilac was getting major embarrassed moodlets from purchasing all of her low poly salad ingredients due to the FREEGAN trait, the Watcher bought two of those VERTICAL PLANTERS from Eco Lifestyle. Sure, the regular pots would have been cheaper, but soon we will be crunched for space.

Oh, and on Day Seven we acquired a WORKBENCH.

I've been in a qpr for a little bit with this friend of mine and im starting to wonder if i want to get out of it, if qprs were actually for me and starting to ponder how we got together too...

my friend (alloromantic <- this is context for later) was actually the one who asked me if I wanted to be in a qpr because a while before I'd mentioned the term and she'd asked me to explain it - which i did to my best ability. She'd been broken up with not long before that and this, along with other factors such as the fact that I kinda have struggle with saying no bc I dont like upsetting people - especially people I'm very close to and I didn't want to completely ruin our friendship bc I knew that she can be a bit emotive and this would rlly make things awkward for us led me to saying yes and getting into a qpr with her. I'd only rejected one other person who asked if I wanted to be in a qpr and that was over text where i could get my thoughts out coherently and also because i knew that friend wouldn't ghost me or anything.

Anyway, we were already pretty close so actually it didn't change much about our friendship other then the fact that she kissed me on the cheek one time.

We communicated what we were fine with (hand holding, hugs, occasional kisses - usually forehead or cheek though) and other things - one of the things I told her straight away was that if she wanted a romantic partner she was free to tell me she no longer wanted to be in a qpr. I knew that she was a very emotive and attached person - she has admitted to the fact that she likes to shower her romantic partner with affection, focuses a lot of energy on them and can be a little more clingy and also that she's rlly not open to poly in those sorts of things (romance - she said it was chill in a qpr but neither of us got other qpp anyway). So I wanted her to know she had an out straight away and that she should know that if she ever wanted to get out of this qpr esp for a romantic partner or honestly *any* reason it'd be fine. Anyway, time went by and it seemed like we were drifting apart and we were actually more distant *after* labelling ourselves qpp then before we had. At some points I kinda got it bc during exam season she was rarely talking to anyone and not rlly online, plus we were still decently close within classes so i thought it was fine - though there'd also be moments where she would clearly forget that we were even in a qpr until some sort of like, idk, trigger word was said and she'd turn to me and be like "oh yeah! we're in one of those! :)"

And then she got a bf and it kinda got worse - don't get me wrong i'm rlly happy for her and in full support, in fact I was the one who told her she should go through with confessing cause I could see that it was eating her up from the inside - but I was right about her putting a lot of focus on him. She'd constantly talk about him in class or over text and gushed about things that he'd made her or she'd made him and i'd sit besides her as she talked about how they wanted to be the same thing in the future and about how she was already kinda planning their future. Additionally she even stopped doing stuff that she had previously labelled completely platonic like holding my hand (probably bc the way that her morals are wired she probably saw it as a bit of a betrayal) and idek if her bf knew that we were in a qpr in the first place (then again - she did forget and only remembered again on like the last couple of days on the leadup to the end of school but that didn't change her behaviour).

And though Ik that obviously i should respect her boundaries (which I do) i wish that she'd just quickly told me stuff like "hey i got a bf so i dont rlly feel comfy doing such and such.." instead of pretty much just stopping out of the blue. Additionally i kinda wish one of us would end the qpr but she's barely ever online anymore and i dont see her irl till school starts and once again, i'm *terrified* of hurting her. she's a rlly close friend and also has had some mental issues surrounding depression in the past and also has told me that she has a fear of being left behind/not good enough for the ppl she loves/hurting her loved ones and though ik that now adays she relies on her bf more for that now (which i admit prolly isnt that healthy) and we dont rlly talk as much i still never want to hurt her like that esp since literally one of the first times we talked in a while (still during the school term) was where i stopped her from almost taking her own life. On the other hand with this one she asked me after school and I needed to catch a bus - I'd talked about qprs a lot and a part of me felt like I wanted one or i *should* be wanting one - so even though at the time I wasn't rlly sure I said yes - additionally she's a pretty emotive person and i knew that if i rejected her there was a possibility that it'd be awkward for months and i didn't wanna ruin my friendship like that. I'm starting to think that maybe i said yes more out of my fear of hurting her and ruining a great friendship then out of the fact that I *actually* wanted a qpr bc the more i think about it the more i realise that i like the idea of a qpr more then i like the practice in actuality.

As for names, I call air water and earth just those names! I think the idea of them being the first of their elements and so they get dibs at the name is fun, (obv alpha and omega were THE first ghouls, so they get alpha and omega) but I will sometimes call earth and air “big earth” or “big air” (waters kinda small so no big water, but he’s water)

Name tangent aside, here’s a general run down of some ideas I’ve had for him.

Air earth and water are a kind of a trio, like yes poly ghouls but as alpha and omega are bonded, these three naturally have bonded to each other and are very close. They take care of each other. He helps water and earth care for themselves physically, meanwhile he can tend to ignore his own emotional state, which is where they come in for him.

He’s a bit moody, can tend to be sarcastic but overall is pretty calm and old man ish, just wants to meditate and smoke weed with his boyfriends ya know. Imagine someone’s grandpa that constantly says “BACK IN MY DAY-“ yeah that’s air and we love him. But younger air also was kinda isolated, earth and water never super let him be but he’s more introverted definitely.

He fights w alpha a lot, tends to have physical altercations with him that create a lot of tense energy in the abbey, they’re not super allowed around each other

Honestly probably where Zeph got a bit of their attitude from mentoring under him. But air has always been beyond patient with them, and even asked earth to help him widdle a cane to make things easier for them

Shield dash on Imp, also note the ammo pickup being bullets (When there's probably none of that stuff in TDA's weapons except the Atlan's minigun) and the health being spheres with skulls

While Doomguy fights this Manc, you can see a Titan and Atlan fighting and a building that looks like it has an orange-ish eye, so the building looks demonic

Also, that purple ring which relates to melee and the shield bash.

Manc also drops armor while attacked

Demonic church? You see cultists with robes (Kinda like that one DE trailer before they're replaced by generic possessed) and a Maykr statue

This area looks very UAC-ish, which could mean the UAC in this universe was inspired by Sentinels and how Sentinels are ancestors of mankind (I had this theory of Doomguy's presense in the Sentinel world being what inspired the UAC in said universe)

It was surprising how much they had in common.

I noticed there are way too few Clexa and Supercorp Crossover Fics...

Just hear me out, k?

Supergirl /DCTV has established parallel worlds and plenty (accidental) ways to end up in an alternative world. Time travel is also very much established (kinda sorta in both shows)

The 100 canonically even has aliens (but this would be better!)

Each ship has a "blue-eyed blonde that came from the sky (from a more scientifically advanced world)" and an "ambitious and revolutionary green('ish)-eyed brunette in a powerful position"

...with the blondes being artistically inclined and the brunettes educated strategists

Lena and Lexa may have a secret hand-shake over the whole "love is weakness" mantra (or just cooly blank-faced share a nod of mutual understanding)

Kara's cousin is named Clark and Lena's brother is named Lex (Clexa: "Oh, are they close?" - SC: "...well, they are constantly at each other's throats?")

Nia would be very confusing - especially if she's still alive, bc seeing her may give Lena a mini heart-attack

Jackson may also look vaguely familiar to Kara...

(Charlotte would prolly already be "gone"...)

There is fun to be had with the character dynamics, Lexa and Kara being the heart-eyes ones, Clarke and Lena (whilst just as infatuated) try to play things cool

Lena would have a field day with the night blood (actually, she'd need a fix to survive in the radioactive world of The 100, unless she has a magical solution at hand)

Kara could single-handedly fix the 2nd Praimfaya situation (with some guidance by Lena)

Raven and Lena prolly would hit it off rather well

by the power of fanfic even the age difference between the characters can be either reduced or ignored

or Lena and Kara become sort of mentors / advisors to Heda and Wanheda

Lexa having a sparring session with "Olympics level fencer" Lena

Kara and Clarke ooh'ing and aaah'ing at Earth's nature together

Kara getting roped into beer-pong and owning it even without using her powers, not for her skills but bc she can't get drunk

Clexa may even help a canonically supposedly "best friends" Supercorp to "see the light" (Clexa: "Uhm, guys? That is not really what best friends are for...")

Play with Lena struggling in the forest or prove herself to be actually pretty apt in her survival skills

Lena coming into Polis being all like "I can fix this up. Someone give me some paper. Kara, time to flex those muscles of yours."

Kara "accidentally" sneezing too hard and freeze-breath scaring the daylights out of Titus before baldie can screw things up

Katie Lena in a more medieval leathery get-up!!!!

Kara on a horsey!! (or floating next to the group riding, cooing at the animals)

Both Kara and Lena having experience with "adults" and their schemes and politics messing things up, spot signs early and help Clexa take care of Pike et others...

Eventually (after saving their world) Lena finding the energy signatures below polis of the portal-thingy, figuring the puzzle out in 3.7 seconds and rewiring it to send them back home...
