29 - What's the hardest thing about writing?

I think for me it's starting something, like those first few lines are so difficult and I struggle to get in the flow of the fic sometimes. I also am struggling at the moment with writing in general, I'm on a bit of a mental block and it's rough, hence why the poor band au hasn't been updated since January (I really want to) and I have the start of a Rosekiller one-shot that I love and want to finish when I'm feeling up to it.

30 - Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn't.

I've never actually really confirmed that this isn't happening but I did have plans for a Jegulus fic for my cowboy AU. It was going to follow Regulus leaving his family's company and starting up his own business in the town where the AU is set, he's navigating a relationship with James (who is poly in this AU and not cheating on Lily) and trying to figure out who he can be on his own without his father overshadowing him.

I really did want to write this fic, I even left little bits in the Rosekiller one to build up to it but I just don't think it's happening, I have projects that I'm more passionate about.

33 - Give your writing a compliment.

i hate you ugghhhh

I suppose I like my dialogue, especially during smut. I get a lot of compliments on it so I must be doing something right I guess. I try to keep it specific to how the characters would feel in that moment. I don't like when you can replace the names and it still fit, like if I replaced Barty and Evan with Remus and Sirius but changed nothing else then the fic shouldn't still make sense so I try and keep it personal to the characters.
