Pole's been tough for me lately. I was focused much more on performing than skill-building last year, which was fine until I burned out on performing and then didn't see any way off the skills plateau. Then, of course, there's been the ~everything~ of the past few months on top of the usual winter depression, and I just haven't had a lot of enthusiasm to try anything new.

But! Last night, inspired by a friend's grim determination and the teacher's enthusiasm, I finally managed to nail a new trick—specifically, this transition from Broken Doll into Batwing. And let me tell you, it was ✨ magical. ✨

(Dedicating this video to @skybound2, because I promised to show her when I finally managed a Batwing...sorry about the first trick name 😂)
