AU rozgrywa się w małej miejscowości Mugenrowice Senryckie na zadupiu zwanym Polska Rzecz Ludowa w latach 80-tych..

akcja kręci się wokół młodego naukowca z depresją i dosyć sporym problemem alkoholicznym. nikt w mieście tak na prawdę nie ma pojęcia jak ma na imię więc nazywają ich dr. Jaskółczyk. Jaskółczyk jest bardzo szanowane przez wszystkich którzy ich znają więc pomimo tego że nikt nie zna ich biologicznej płci, wszyscy zwracają się do dr. Jaskółczyk z pełnym szacunku zwrotem “wy/państwo”. (tsuba w tym AU jest agender)

drugą z głównych postaci jest Yabusame Houlen, który niedawno przeprowadził się do Mugenrowic z Japonii. Przyje��dżając do polski, wszyscy wzięli ją za chłopaka lecz ku zdziwieniu mieszkańców, często jest widziana w sukienkach i makijażu. Po jakimś czasie wszyscy zaakceptowali że on/ona po prostu jest z wschodu i oni tam tak mają. (Yabu w tym AU jest bigender)

kolejną postacią jest Zuzanna “Zuźka” Wróblewska. Jest asystentką Dr. Jaskółczyk i ma chora obsesje na nich. Jaskółczyk ma tego zdecydowanie dosyć.

Every time I try to do a modern AU I want to change up Padme's background

Her face is EE Jewish, her accent is American, her fashion is Mongolian(-inspired), her name is Indian(-inspired), her house is Italian--

And in a modern setting it's unlikely for all to be true at once so. You gotta pick.

I think I usually go with either Mongolian-Italian or Indian-Italian (racially), religiously and maybe ethnically Jewish? Aaaaaand probably Natalie Portman's own "immigrated to the US very young" background because same, which is then the accent.

The shading was a bit hard because I was trying to use yellow light on a yellow goober, but then I added the blue light and it was smooth sailing from there.

She MARRIED a French guy, but she was pretty damn patriotic as a pole, and kept her polish maiden name, which was pretty badass and feminist for the time. She had to leave Poland because of the political situation, but she was not French, and we do get quite pissed off when people forget about it, and she’d get pissed off as well.

PiS (Prawo i Sprawiedliwosc meaning Law and Justice) is a political party that was ruling Poland for the past few years and long story short most of the country hates them. At least the younger part. They fucked up our international relationships, economy, and are really conservative. ***** *** is a „meme” „censorship” of words “jebać pis” which means “fuck pis”
