Pokeshipping Week 2021
Day Seven (7): Double Dating
And here we are at the last day of Pokeshipping Week! I can’t believe we’re already at the end and yet... Well, anyway, let me just talk a bit about this theme, shall we?
For Double Dating, I decided to have Jellowshipping as the second couple because I felt like the Alola season wasn’t that long ago and I really wanted to draw them some more. I really like Mallow and Lillie’s relationship; platonic, romantic, or otherwise. 💕
And that’s all for my submissions for Pokeshipping Week 2021! Hope you all enjoyed it and I will hopefully be prepped and ready by this time next year! Until then, I have no idea what’s in store or what I’ll be doing but maybe I’ll see ya when I see ya! 👋

Day 05: Historical Japan AU
It was a calm day in the region of Kanto. People walked the streets. Some of them went to work, some went to study...they all had a purpose in life.
"But what is my purpose?"
Kasumi looked at the reflection of herself in the pond. The young 18 year old princess sat down in the garden. She had a red kimono on. Her red hair was bound back with a comb on top with a red ribbon. She had red painted lips. With her fingers she gently touched the water of the pond.
The oldert of her three sisters, Sakura, walked into the garden.
The young queen with her blond hair and marine-blue eyes sat down next to Kasumi with a smile.
"Kasumi, what are you doing here all by yourself? We have guests. It is rude for you to ignore them."
Kasumi looked away from her. "I am not in the mood for another royal duty. I would enjoy it a lot more if you let me be."
Sakura sighed. "I know the death of our mother was hard on you, but you shouldn't wallow in despair..." She put her hand onto Kasumi's cold cheek and the princess looked at her. "Not when you have such a face as she had."
"But...if I go in there...I know that they will compare me to thee. I'm not as sophisticated as you, oneesama (sister)."
"You don't have to be." Sakura said. "Just be yourself. Then everything will be alright."
____________________________________________________________________
At the party there were a lot of people.
The queen walked in with Kasumi, but quickly left her to talk to the shogun. So Kasumi went over to the table filled with sweets, took a bowl filled with wagashi (Japanese confections that are often served with green tea, especially the types made of mochi, azuki bean paste, and fruit) and sat walked over to an open screen door.
There she sat down on a cushion on the ground and looked at the falling petals of the cherry blossom trees.
"Kasumi oujo-sama (princess)?"
Kasumi looked up from her bowl of wagashi. She saw a man with raven black hair and a pikachu on his shoulder. Kasumi's eyes widened. She jumped up and smiled at him.
"Satoshi-san!" Kasumi said.
She had known Satoshi since they were children. He was no royal, just a traveller and trader, but they were on good terms.
Kasumi wanted to give him a hug, but people were watching. She knew she had to keep it professional.
"W-what are you doing in Kanto? I thought you were going to the Hoenn region."
Satoshi scratched his neck. "Well, I forgot something...or rather someone important."
Kasumi folded her arms. "Takeshi isn't going with you, remember? He is opening up his own medical clinic to help Pokemon in need."
Satoshi scoffed. "Okay, first of all, I know Takeshi won't go with me. I wasn't talking about him."
"Then who were you talking about?" Kasumi asked.
"Pikachupi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
Kasumi became flushed. She nervously averted her gaze from Satoshi. The words Pikachu said meant her name. Which meant that Satoshi wanted to take her with him.
"I...I can't..." Kasumi said. "I...I have a duty here...I am a princess!"
"If you come with me, then all of your burdens will go away." Satoshi said. "And you know how I feel towards you. Please, come with me, ojou-sama."
"I..."
"Kasumi, you can't leave the other guests waiting!"
Her sister Ayame appeared at their side. She looked at Kasumi and then at Satoshi.
"Ah, Satoshi-kun!" Ayame said. "I had no idea you were still in town! What a surprise...wait, Kasumi, why are you blushing?"
"Because..." Kasumi gulped. She knew she couldn't keep a secret from her sister. "Satoshi asked me to leave with him."
"Leave with him? What are you talking about?"
"I want to." Kasumi whispered. "But...if I do..."
"What is this about leaving?"
Sakura appeared by their side as well. She frowned at them.
"Kasumi..." Sakura said. "If you leave, then you know what will happen to you."
Kasumi nodded. "Yes. I am fully aware of the sickness that resides in my body."
Satoshi seemed a bit confused. "The disease? You don't mean..."
Sakura sighed. "Yes. Kasumi will not live longer than a year ahead. There is no cure. Tell me, are you willing to love her even when you can only be together for a year?"
Satoshi chuckled. The others looked a bit confused at him until he took Kasumi's hand in his and said;
"Yes, I am willing to take that risk."
____________________________________________________________________
Her hair fell out of its traditional hair-do. She changed from her pajamas into a simple blue kimono.
As Satoshi and Kasumi left in the night, Kasumi was no longer the princess of Kanto. Instead she was now going to be a commoner, someone no one would look at or expect anything from.
And she loved it.
The two travelled all over the world, to each of the regions. They met very interesting people and saw a lot of Pokemon and nature itself.
But as they travelled, they knew that one day that horrid day would come.
__________________________________________________________________
One year later
She laid in a bed. Her now shorter red hair was sprawled onto a pillow. Her husband and Pikachu were by her side as she laid there dying.
"Satoshi..." Kasumi looked at her hand in his hand. His hand felt a bit rougher and felt cold from the winter's snow. A single candle lit up the dark room as night had come to visit them.
"Kasumi..." Satoshi whispered. "I love you."
Kasumi looked at him. "Satoshi...thank you for giving me a purpose in life...without you I would have fallen into despair and died as a princess...instead I got to travel the world, see new pokemon, meet people, experience the world...thank you..."
Blood started to trickle from her nose. Satoshi gasped and quickly wiped it away.
"Don't worry..." Kasumi said weakly. "I'm only going away for a bit..."
Satoshi choked up and placed a kiss on her hand. "Kasumi..."
"I...I just want you to love me in my next life as well..."
Satoshi looked at her. "I will, Kasumi. Just as I have done before. That is a promise on my soul."
Kasumi smiled at him. "I love you, Satoshi."
Satoshi bend down and gave her one more final kiss. Kasumi returned the kiss until her light went out and her lips stopped moving. Satoshi pulled back. He looked at the dead body of his wife. Pikachu started to cry and Satoshi cried too as he grabbed her cold hand and put it against his cheek.
___________________________________________________________________
"Oh! Oh! Hey, I got a bite! Oh, wow, I really think this could really be a big one!"
Misty pulled at her fishing rod. She pulled hard and something fell down onto the ground beside her. She blinked and stared at the boy. His black hair...she got a strange feeling that she had seen him before somewhere. She shook her head and ignored her heart as she said;
"Nah, it's just a kid...oh and a Pokémon! Are you okay?"
She jumped down when she saw the injured pikachu in his arms. She had no idea why, but seeing that pikachu in such a bad state made her heart hurt. It was as if it were her own Pokemon.
"Y-yeah, I'm okay." Ash said. He looked at the girl and stopped talking for a second. The girl seemed really familiar, but he had no idea why.
"Not you! Look what you done to that poor little thing. Is it breathing?!"
Ash snapped out of it. There was no way he knew someone like her. He jumped up and grabbed her bike. Misty yelled at him to give her bike back, but Ash paddled as fast as he could.
Misty put her hands on her hips and groaned. But her annoyed look quickly melted away. She put one hand against her chest.
Her heart was beating faster than normally.

DAY 3: Brock Giving Dating Advice to Ash and/or Misty
Day 3 from @lightningenergy and me! (A poet and I didn’t know it!)
Still in group fic continuity, and the need-to-knows this time are: Ash and Misty (at about age 19) got together while out with Cilan and May. Early on in their relationship, they decide to break the news to Brock...
---
 “…”
“Um - Brock?” Ash waved a hand in front of his friend’s face. It’s so hard to tell shock on this guy… “Hello? Brock?”
“…”
Misty sighed and scooted out of their booth. “I’ll go get him something. Make sure he’s still breathing.” Ash gave a half-chuckle and waved her off. He and Pikachu both starting poking Brock in the arm, and got five in before he held up his hand.
“You,” he said, in a very serious tone. “You. Ash. Have a date.”
“… Yeah,” Ash said. He wasn’t sure why that was so surprising. Then again, after all the jokes directed at him over the years, he supposed he should’ve expected it.
Brock heaved the world’s heaviest sigh. “What is this world coming to…?”
Ash’s frown deepened. “You know, I got enough of a hard time from May and Cilan about this. I thought you might be more cool about it.”
“MAY AND CILAN!” Brock’s palm slapped down on the table, almost sending his soup flying. “Why did they know before I did!?”
“Well, they were there when me ‘n -”
“The worst part,” Brock cut him off, “isn’t that you didn’t tell me - or that you have a real girlfriend before I do - even though that’s almost the worst part - it’s that you’re four dates in before you told me! And you never asked me - Brock - for advice!”
Ash allowed himself a smile. “Well, see, I already got four dates in, so–”
“How you got four dates in is beyond me!” Brock continued. “Without my guidance at that!” He cast Ash a long look. “We have a lot of catching up to do, my friend.”
“I thought that’s why we were having lunch…”
“You’re back in Pallet, I’m a doctor, we’re done. Now - for the girls!”
Ash and Pikachu shared a look of worry. “You’re not gonna start singing, are you?”
If he heard the remark, Brock ignored it. He produced, seemingly from nowhere, a heart-shaped box of chocolates, a bouquet of roses, and his little black book. “Alright, Ash,” he said, “the most important thing to remember about the girls is that it is your duty, as the man, to show them everything that romance can offer!”
“Huh? But Cilan said -”
“Oh, so you asked him for advice!?”
“Like I said, he was there to see me and –”
“I’m sure he’s a nice guy and all,” Brock said a little impatiently. “But we’ve been through many things, you & I. If you can’t trust me, who can you trust? Anyways, we’re getting off track… when you go on this date (there’s something I’d never thought I’d say), you have to treasure her like nothing else! Even Pikachu!”
(“Watch it,”) snapped the Pokemon as Misty returned with a glass of water for Brock.
“I can’t believe you’re listening to this, Ash,” Misty said looking half-bored, half-amused. “Especially after w–”
“I’m not finished!” cut in Brock. He didn’t seem keen on Misty butting in.
“Brock wants to pass on dating advice,” Ash explained. Misty struggled to snort down a laugh as she sat back down and pushed Brock’s drink over to him.
He ignored it. “However much cash you have in your wallet, double it before the date! However much cologne you wear, double it before the date! However many flowers you plan to bring her, double it before the date! Wherever you plan on taking her -”
“That reminds me, we never did say where we were gonna go,” Ash said to Misty. “Where did you -”
“Would you pay attention!” Brock snapped at him, then turned to Misty. “Can you believe this guy? And I can’t believe how calmly you’re taking this - he let May and Cilan know before his two best friends that he had a girlfriend!”
“I wouldn’t say that’s entirely incorrect,” Misty chuckled, but Brock either didn’t hear her or ignored it. His fury was focused on Ash instead.
“You have to tell me everything that happens on this date,” he snarled. “And I mean everything: all the details, what happened, who you were with… all of it! I am not letting this go!”
“Clearly not,” sighed Ash.
Misty smirked. “Are you still giving advice, Brock? Or are you trying to get tips from Ash Ketchum?”
“DON’T YOU SAY THAT!” The sombrero, open shirt, and maracas were out now. “Ash is the one who’s finally learned the beauty of the fair sex, and I am the one who is going to make sure he doesn’t blow it!”
“The way you always do?” Ash muttered to a sniggering Pikachu. The maracas came down hard onto the table.
“NOW, THEN! Step one, Ash - what sort of girl is she? Blonde? Brunette? Slim, trim, curvy? Sweet, shy, nervy? Oh, there is nothing as divine as beautiful/No sun can shine like beautiful/Bring on that line of beautiful -”
“STOP THAT SINGING!” yelled a patron one booth over.
“Should we tell him?” Ash whispered to Misty as Brock sheepishly sat back down.
“When he’s about to break,” she muttered back. They both looked across the table at Brock, who was fidgeting and eager to launch back into his tirade.
“Are you done?” he asked. “I have a lot more to say.”
“Actually, I think he broke when you told him you had a date,” Misty quipped.
“Yeah - see, Brock, the thing is, my girlfriend is -”
But Brock was going again. “She must be a Pokemon lover if you’re dating her, but is she a Type specialist? A Trainer? Coordinator? Performer? I remember your mom mentioned that girl you knew from camp in Kalos…”
“NO!” Ash snapped, glancing wearily from a stunned Brock and a scowling Misty. “Brock, I’m trying to tell you that she’s -”
“Have you asked her for her hobbies? Her vocation in life? Her hand in marriage? Does she prefer the beach, the theater, or a moonlit dance with the stars up above in her eyes? On a fantabulous night to make romance, 'neath the cover of October skies?/And all the leaves on the trees are falling/To the sound of the breezes that blow -”
“SO DOES YOUR VOICE!”
“IT’S ME, BROCK!” Misty shouted, standing up. “I’M THE ONE ASH IS DATING!”
Brock stared at her, then glanced at Ash, who was trying very hard not to laugh. Suddenly, Brock started laughing so hard tears began to leak from his eyes.
“No, seriously,” he said once he had stopped. “Who is she?”
“What - whaddya mean, who is she!?” Misty felt her face heating up, not helped by Ash’s resistance breaking down. Pikachu was already rolling all over the table.
“Come on, Misty!” Brock chuckled. “You and Ash? If you’re trying to pull a prank, you’ve got to come up with something more convincing than that. I mean - who’d ever think of you two as a couple?”
“Who would - what - we - EVERYONE FIGURED OUT WE LIKED EACH OTHER!”
“Sure, but we never actually thought something would come out of it.”
Ash’s mirth died. “Of all the people to show up now…”
Gary Oak shot his old rival a cheeky grin before inviting himself to Brock’s end of the booth. “Just got the news from Dawn, Ashy-boy. So Red here finally got through your thick skull?”
He’d just settled down when Misty pulled him to his feet by the collar. “Now is not the time, Gary!”
Brock looked from them to Ash. Slowly, his mouth began to drop. “Wait…you’re - you’re being serious!”
“Of course I’m serious!” Misty snapped. “Are you so hormonally backed up that nothing gets through to you?!”
Brock’s jaw dropped a little wider. “And wait - Gary, what did you say, about Misty finally getting through to him?”
“Don’t ask him!” growled Ash. “Okay, fine, I didn’t realized she liked me when we were kids, but it’s not like it went any different for -”
“'When we were kids’ - Misty, you had a crush on Ash!?”
Misty was so stunned, she released Gary (who quickly reclaimed his seat and made himself comfy for the show). “I…I can’t believe I’m not surprised. You would be the one guy who should have noticed but didn’t.”
(“Yeah, too busy with your own escapades to notice,”) added Pikachu.
Brock sighed and buried his face in his hands. “What a fool I’ve been…”
“You say that now?” Ash & Misty said in unison.
“Well, this isn’t as much fun as I thought,” said Gary. “How’s the grub in this place?”
“All that silly advice…when I should have been planning your date for you!”
“Wait, what!?”
Gary grinned. “I spoke too soon.”
“It’s already planned out!” Misty sputtered, face reddening even more. “So the answer is a hard 'no’!”
“I’m with her on this one,” added Ash.
 (“Me three.”) said Pikachu.
“Buddy, you’re not in on this.”
(“Says you!”)
“But you’ll need me!” Brock pleaded. “How many of your four dates have you made it through without an argument?”
“…That’s not the point!”
“It is the point!” said Brock, energy returning to his face again. “If you keep arguing, who knows how many other dates you’ll have in your future?”
“Man’s got a point.” said Gary.
“You stay outta this!” snapped Misty.
“Wait, wait, wait!” Ash pulled Misty down to her seat, took a deep breath, and fixed Brock with a firm stare. “Brock, I’m sorry we didn’t tell you sooner, and I know it’s a lot to take in. So how about a deal: you can plan our date -”
“Ash, what are you -”
Ash slapped his hand over Misty’s mouth. “As soon as you get one yourself,” he finished.
Silence fell over the table. Everyone, even Gary, was staring at Brock as he processed the information. Eventually, the doctor said, “But that’ll never happen!”
“Finally, something we agree on.” Misty sighed as Ash, Pikachu, and Gary all started laughing.

Pokeshipping Week 2021 –  Day 2
Theme: Ash Babysitting Togepi
Fanfiction.net: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13983180/2/Pokeshipping-Week-2021
Wattpad: https://www.wattpad.com/1149718767-pokeshipping-week-2021-day-2-ash-babysitting
Author’s Note: Okay so, upfront, honestly?  There is no story here.  Honestly!  I didn’t want to deal with a third substitute for this day either, I’ve already got two and none of the scrapped ideas for PS Week this year are particularly appealing to me.  I’m writing this on the night of the first day so it’s too late to think of a last second idea.
Not only that but frankly I’ve got no ideas on what to do here.  The thing is that in canon, the ones who suffer the most from Togepi’s childish antics are the Pokémon, mainly Pikachu.  In canon the humans have no idea of Togepi’s strength as a battler, and they don’t really view it as a fighter either, usually avoiding Togepi’s usage altogether.  Another obstacle to this theme being that Togepi isn’t troublesome for Ash or Brock, many episodes where Misty’s priorities don’t involve being the egg Pokémon’s Mother sees the two boys happily take it and it gives no trouble. So, a typical ‘baby story’ of making the male take responsibility or the mother taking a break from the troublesome child cannot work because that’s not the challenge and relationship that Togepi brings to the group.
Any conflict with Togepi that would involve Pokeshipping is inexistent because in episodes where the two are forcibly removed, Misty isn’t worried about Togepi’s safety regarding Ash and Brock’s care because she already trusts the two with it so much, and in those same episodes Togepi isn’t worried because it’s so carefree by nature and only ever is a problem for the Pokémon (read: Pikachu).  Misty worrying for Togepi was in the episodes Tanks a Lot and Houndoom’s Special Delivery where her concern was mainly Togepi’s lack of supervision and the dangerous circumstances, not out of any conflict with Ash but with her lack of being there, even then Ash was an active participant in Misty’s efforts to recover Togepi.  This clear-cut modus operandi by the two shows that it can never be Ash who will be the problem because they both clearly care for Pokémon.  Irresponsibility is just not a thing they’d do.
To change this to suit the prompt would necessitate recontextualizing whole episodes to a new paradigm.  Even then, it’s too shaky of a risk to change any aspect of the relationship as Pokémon are clearly living, feeling beings, and Togepi is contextualized as a child, to suggest someone in the group would be irresponsible with it could possibly break the group apart.  Caring about Pokémon is too intrinsic to them.
There just.  Is.  No.  Original.  Story.  Here. Especially one that wouldn’t be a repeat of the previously mentioned Pikachu stories.
So…have the only thing I could think of with this in mind.
OoOoO
Out of Action Ash
The heroes all breathed sighs of relief as the sight of city skyscrapers finally came into view.
“Finally,” said Misty excitedly, “civilization at long last!  It’s too bad that we could’ve been here at least two days ago, but Ash just had to slow us down…”
“Oh, just shut up,” replied Ash with a grunt.
“Well, it’s your fault we were so slow.”
“Come off of it, Misty,” said Brock.  “It’s not Ash’s fault a Donphan stepped on his foot.”
Misty bit her lip and felt ashamed.  “Y-yeah, well, he should’ve been more mindful of where his foot was.”
“Misty…”
The girl sighed.  “Okay, okay… Yeah, you’re right.  Hardly Ash’s fault.”
“That’s better,” grumbled Brock with a judging eyebrow raise.
Soon they were in the city.  Ash struggled to keep up as he limped along, grunting in pain. They reached a plaza a few blocks into the city.  “Rest here, Ash,” said Brock.  “You can’t keep going in your condition.  If you want to get to the next gym, we’re going to need you in top condition.  I need to get supplies for our journey, while I’m at it I’ll get you a foot casting.  Rest here till then.”
“Right, Brocko… Thanks,” said Ash with a sigh as he slumped into the metal chair and tossed his hat off.  Brock nodded and then headed off.  When he was out of sight, Misty turned to Ash and smirked.
“Meanwhile, I myself am going shopping!” she announced.
Ash raised an eyebrow.  “Okay…?”
“And that means you get to take care of Togepi,” exclaimed Misty as she handed the Egg Pokémon to Ash and immediately skipped away.  “Spent way too much time the woods!  Two weeks!  I need some time to look at clean linoleum floors and fresh clothes to boot!  See ya!”
“Girls and their shopping,” huffed Ash Ketchum with a roll of his eyes.  Pikachu felt sweat drip down his head in slight agreement.  Togepi, in ignorance, chirped happily as Ash took it to be cradled in his arms.
OoOoO
Not even thirty minutes after leaving was Misty starting to feel bad about her decision.  As she shopped around, she overheard various women and girls talking, and what they were saying wasn’t exactly inspiring.
“Oh, I hope he’s all right.  I left the kids with him and told them to behave but they already don’t respect him as is…”
“Threw out his back I’m afraid.  Still, mama’s gotta do her shopping.  Still though, I hope the Pokémon are behaving...”
“Hah!  I know right? Boys should really look after their Pokémon.  Letting him be stuck with Growlithe will do him a world of good.”
“What if it uses Flamethrower on him, though?”
“Pfft!  If that happens, he deserves it.”
Misty’s eyes and arms twitched with every remark. She was starting to feel crowded and felt an uncomfortable pit in her stomach.  The orange-haired girl had to admit, she had been a bit rude to Ash and considering the state he was in she felt her actions had been really callous. She wasn’t sure if that was quite the accurate statement but Misty was starting to feel more and more put out at the thought of what she had done.
“Right…” she muttered.  “I have to make this right.”
Ash had released some of his Pokémon to enjoy the plaza.  All the while he tended to Togepi who sat happily in Ash’s arms and didn’t do a thing. Ash cringed a bit from how his foot ached and tried to rest it on one of the intricately designed table legs.
Suddenly, Misty appeared around the corner.  Ash raised as eyebrow, just a single bag hung on her left arm and he had two fancy café drinks with her.  Frappuccinos he believed they were.  “Done or just dropping your stuff off?” he asked.
“No, done,” said Misty.  A small blush appeared under her eyes as Ash raised an amused eyebrow.  “A-anyways, I just needed a new shirt.  Um, here. It’s caramel.”  And placed the brown, frozen drink in front of Ash. “F-for you, I figured you were hungry.”
“Oh, thank you,” replied Ash, somewhat taken aback. “That’s real nice of you.”
“You’re welcome.”  Misty hummed and awkwardly sat across from Ash, avoiding eye contact. “H-hey…”
“Yeah?  What’s up?”
“Sorry for earlier with the whole…you know…insult about your foot and leaving you to take care of Togepi while I took off.”
“O-oh.  Er – no, really, it’s okay.  I get it.” He cringed as his foot sent a small pain through his nerves.  “Really, I do.  Can’t exactly call myself a Pokémon Master when I allow myself to get injured just because I let my guard down.”
“Huh, I would’ve thought you’d have said something like, ‘Oh, that Donphan was approaching because it recognized my greatness as a Pokémon Trainer’.”
“Yeah, sounds like something I would’ve once said. Good thing I’m not like that as much anymore.  Oh, don’t get me wrong, I still want to be a Pokémon Master but I, well…”
“Well, you have changed quite a bit,” said Misty with a smile as she sipped on her chocolate frappe.
“You’ve changed quite a bit yourself.  Partially thanks to…o-oh,” stammered Ash suddenly, looking down at his lap.  “Er – sorry. You probably want Togepi back, don’t you?”
“U-um, no, you were doing a good job.”
Ash eased back a little into the seat. “O-oh, thanks.  I guess I’ll hang on to the lil guy for a bit longer.”
“Thank you.  How’s the drink?  Sorry, I’m not sure if you would’ve wanted caramel or not.”
“No, no, you’re good,” said Ash before he took a big sip.  “Y’know…a bit too sweet for me but I still like it.  It seems more like something you’d enjoy.”
“Probably!  Yeah, caramel sounds good but I can’t help but love chocolate a bit more.”
“Yeah, I get that.  Chocolate is pretty delicious.”
The girl beamed upon hearing that.  “I know, right?!”
“Yeah, I figured you’d say that, too,” laughed Ash. “Y’know, there’s a cake shop nearby over that way if you want one.”
“Oh no,” said Misty as she patted Pikachu on the head, “I really shouldn’t.”
“Regular bread, then?”
“Sure, that sounds good.”  Misty set off and got the bread, returned, and split it apart to share between them.  “Hey, Ash,” she said as she bit into her bread, blushing a bit, “without Brock, doesn’t this kind of feel like a date?”
Ash blinked and his eyes grew wide as he gulped uncomfortably on the bread.  “U-um…I-I guess?” he said with a cough as Misty moved to thump him on the back. “W-why would…you say that?”
“Because, well…n-never mind.  Sorry, shouldn’t have said it!”
“No, go on.”
Misty let out a tense sigh.  “What if, hypothetically, I said I wanted more of ‘this’?  Y’know, being alone together.”
“I mean…I guess I’d be okay with that.”
The girl blushed even more when she heard that. “Would you…like to do this again?”
“…Sure.”
“You mean it, Ash?”
“Yeah, I-I do, Misty.  Because…it’s you.  I’d be okay with you,” he said, scratching his cheek.
“Oh.”  Misty’s face was completely red.  Her hand stopped moving on Ash’s back, and without another word, she quietly hugged him to her.  Ash put Togepi on the table into Pikachu’s care and hugged her back.

Happy Pokeshipping Weeek everyone! I had every intention of fully participating this year with a story every day, but unfortunately life got in the way and I simply couldn’t make it work. I did still want to contribute something, however, so I’m sharing this one shot that I hope you’ll all enjoy!

Pokeshipping Week: Day 6
Ash knew Misty liked him from the start
I'm not sure what to do for today. I mean we all know Ash isn't the smartest. However, since he started to realize his feelings during the Orange Island arc, he could eventually figure it out.
"Do you think that people change when they kiss?"
"Guess we'll have to find out ourselves."
Ash would eventually kiss Misty later on.

It them.
(I think this was originally for a pokeshipping week 2021 prompt - Ash knows Misty likes him or something - if I remember correctly. I started the doodle and then just left it because I had no muse for the better part of two or so years... still incomplete but it's something at least.)

So I've just recently been hooked in Little Nightmares series. I discovered it while wondering in YouTube and then I saw Mono and Six! They're beautiful characters in this oh so beautiful lore. I strongly believe that this is Tarsier Studio's masterpiece. Anyone who also knows and interested about the lore of the game? 🥰😍👫
PS: I did not played the game, instead I watched speedruns but also a bunch of fan theories and I just can't have enough of it! It's so fun and it has a very awesome fandom!
Disclaimer: All the pictures are not from me, these are from Tarsier Studios (Little Nightmares 2 Comics) you can download the app and the 3rd pic is from a fan, all credits to him/her. I found it on Reddit I think?
Please do play the music below. It's so beautiful! 😭

When did you start shipping rosegarden?
Fav moment so far?
I think it has been more than 1 year now or 2? It was the moment when I was just scrolling in Tumblr looking for my fave cartoon ships like Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil (shooocks I missed those!) AND THEN I SAW RUBY AND OSCAR! Shocks. Believe me or not, it's a Love at First Sight! When I saw them I immediately became interested in the show, it was around before the release of Volume 7 if I'm not mistaken? And at first I was just searching "Ruby and Oscar" in YouTube until I've known more about the show and theeen, I decided to watch RWBY but the Vol. 7 first and not too long after that, I WATCH THE WHOLE SERIES FROM VOL. 1 and I loved every single episode! I'm just sad about the toxic fans out there very critical about the show. I just want them to appreciate what CRWBY is doing and very wholesome about it but anyways... Yeah! I loved the show most especially because of RoseGarden, and before RG I was really a shipper back then. Since Pokeshipping, heck I don't even knew what 'shipping' was. 😂
I shipped some of the characters too in Steven Universe, SVTFOE, etc.
Thanks for asking! I enjoyed answering your question. Just feel free to ask, sorry btw about my late reply to your question. 😅
PS: My favorite moments were of course every single moments of them interacting with each other 😂 but to be more specific and the "MOST" favorite is still their awkward conversation about talking with Ironwood. I really loved that scene and it filled my Rosegarden shipping heart! 🥰❤️💚

I think this is the closest one I can get? 😆
Maybe my character can find his Rose here if you know what I mean. 😏❤️💚
PS: He also has freckles which is cooool! So I added one. 😍

Pokeshipping Week 2021
Day Six (6): If Ash Knew Misty Liked Him from the Start
So, I had 2 ideas that I really liked for this theme. One was based off a shojo manga (L*vely C*mplex, by the way) and the other was this one. Both had a similar point to them but I decided to go with the closer-to-canon one because this had less drawings in mind. If I had gone with the manga-inspired idea, it would’ve come out like an actual comic strip just to get the point across... and I didn’t want to spend too much on just this theme and throw my time off-balance.
So, anyway, the theme at hand. Right. Well, the main point of the ideas I had was that I feel that Ash, being something of a cocky brat in OG, would’ve been a bit proud and egotistical about it. Nothing like strong-arming her or taking complete advantage of her because of her feelings, but he’d make pointed reminders and little jabs whenever she gets on his case (which was a LOT back in OG). A lot like how the main couple in L*vely C*mplex was in the beginning of the series, in fact.
Probably down the line, as they continued to travel together through Orange Islands and Johto and so forth, Ash would take her feelings more seriously but at the beginning? Oh no yeah, he’d be something of an annoying lil’ kid about it. No doubt.

Day 06: Ash knew Misty liked him from the start
(Quick note: Tomorrow I’ll post day 7, aka the final day! )
"I don't get girls."
Ash, Brock and Misty were sitting in a forest. They were resting for a bit and eating their sandwiches while Togepi and Pikachu played around.
Brock chuckled as Ash told them he didn't understand girls. He put his hand against his chin and rubbed it. "Well, you don't have the same instincts as I do. I...ow!"
Misty pulled him at his ear. "Which instincts? You always propose to every girl you meet. Really, if you did that to me, I would be creeped out."
"Ah, don't worry." Ash said. "I'm not the guy who's gonna propose to you out of nowhere."
Misty stopped pulling Brock's ear and she released him. She blushed nervously as Ash calmly ate his sandwich again.
"W-what are you s-s-saying?!" Misty said. "As if a boy like you could ever propose to me!"
"Hm?" Ash raised his eyebrows at her. "You like me, right?"
Misty jumped up with a red face. She grabbed Togepi and ran off.
Ash looked confused at Brock. "Wait...what did I do wrong? Misty likes me."
Brock sighed. "You need to be more tactful, Ash. If you are sure that she likes you, then you need to think about how she's feeling. Sometimes girls are confused with their feelings. Misty might like you, but she isn't too sure about it."
___________________________________________________________________
8 years later
Ash was now 18 years old. He wore red jacket and a red hat. He was a lot taller and a lot more mature. He was also a lot more popular after winning the title of 'pokemon master', working for a while as one of the elite 4 and now traveling again to discover a new region.
However, today he wasn't in the new region. He was in Cerulean city, standing in front of the Cerulean gym.
Ash looked at Pikachu with a small smile. "Ready to see her again, buddy?"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu exclaimed.
Ash nodded and stepped forward. He walked into the gym. Ash walked into the waiting room where a couple of trainers were waiting. He wanted to go to the hallway which led to their living room, but it was locked.
"Hey, buddy." One of the men said. "If you want to see the gymleader up close I think you better wait here and...hold on...you're Ash Ketchum!"
Ash rubbed his neck and grinned nervously. "Y-yeah..."
"Oh my mew, can I get a picture with you? Wait, let me text my friend! I'll tell her to get here and-"
The door to the hallway opened up and suddenly Daisy stepped into the room. She looked at them and noticed Ash immediately.
"Ah, Ash! Come on!" Daisy said. She grabbed his arm and pulled him into the hallway and shut the door behind them. She quickly locked it again and let out a sigh of relief. "You could have, like, called before you came here..."
"Sorry, I wanted to surprise Misty." Ash said.
"Well, you're coming at a bad time. Misty is busy with battles. But...I can maybe take, like, over from her and tell her that you're here."
Ash smiled at her. "That would be great, thanks!"
Daisy told him to wait in the kitchen while she was going to get Misty.
Ash waited in the kitchen. As he waited he played rock-paper-scissors with Pikachu.
"Argh, you win again!" Ash exclaimed as Pikachu beat him.
"Pikapi, pikachu pikachu!" Pikachu said proudly and the little rodent puffed out his chest. Ash grabbed his head with his hands and groaned in despair. Pikachu giggled at him. Ash sighed. He couldn't believe he lost again.
"You two never really change, do you?"
Ash looked up. Misty was standing in the kitchen. Her hair was in a low ponytail. She was wearing a red t-shirt with shorts underneath. Ash jumped up and Pikachu waved at Misty.
Misty waved back at Pikachu and then looked at Ash.
"Ash, what are you doing here?" She folded her arms. "I heard that you were gone to the Atta region."
"I am...I only came to see goodbye to my girlfriend."
"Okay, you've been saying that since we were 10! Really, mister, I know I am your girlfriend, but you could be a little bit less bragging about it! And more one thing; you..."
All of a sudden Ash moved forward and kissed her. Misty's eyes widened as Ash pulled back with a confident grin.
"How can I not brag when you're one of the best gymleaders out there?"
Misty blushed. She put her hands against his chest. "I complain a lot, huh?"
"Eh, I'm used to it." Ash shrugged. "We've been dating for nine years after all. But..." He smiled a little. "If you don't want me here..."
Misty grabbed him by his lapel and kissed him deeply.
When she broke off the kiss she looked at him with love and said; "Bedroom. Now."
Ash gulped and nodded. "Yes, ma'am." He took her hand and Misty pulled him along.
Pikachu stayed behind at the table while two ran off giggling. He looked at Psyduck, who walked into the kitchen. Pikachu gave him an all knowing look and Psyduck sighed.

DAY 2: Ash Babysitting Togepi
And here we go with Day 2 from @lightningenergy and me!
Nothing serious to know from our group fic continuity, just that it necessitated this being a flashback:
---
Ash entered the living room to find Pikachu smiling up at him from the couch. Over the years Ash had learned that this particular smile was never a good sign. “What’s up, Pikachu?”
(“I’m just reminiscing,”) Pikachu squeaked.
“Uh-huh,” said Ash, folding his arms. His Pokemon’s voice sounded way too innocent for such a simple statement. “Dare I ask about what?”
(“That time you had to babysit Togepi.”)
“Must we?” Ash groaned.
(“Oh, yes…”)
Ash put his fingers to massaging his temples. “Is this the time from when we were going to Cherrygrove City?”
(“Nope.”)
“The time we had to backtrack to Olivine for Brock’s cooking pots?”
(“Getting warmer…”)
“…Not Cianwood!?”
(“Oh, yes…”)
DIDDLY DIDDLY FLASHBACK DIDDLY
“Ash, I need a favor.”
Ash looked up from his Pokedex to see Misty leaning against the doorway of his cabin. She looked pale and sweaty. “What’s up?”
“I’m sick,” she coughed. Togepi looked up at his “mother” in concern. “I need to rest, but I also need someone to watch Togepi.”
Ash’s stomach dropped. “W-what about Brock?”
“Flirting,” Misty sighed, and it was clear that she didn’t have the strength to deal with their friend today. “So I’m asking you.”
“B-b-but -”
Misty’s eyes narrowed. “Ash, we’re sitting in a cabin. What could be so hard about watching a baby Pokemon for the day?”
“Nothing - except you always get mad when I watch him no matter what I do.”
 “I do not!”
“There, see?”
Misty sighed again, swaying slightly on her feet. “I don’t have time for this.” She set down Togepi, who ran over to Pikachu for a game. “I need to sleep.”
She left, leaving Ash to wonder how much trouble he’d be in by the end of the day. Then again… all she did was carry around Togepi… it couldn’t be that much trouble…
On that cautiously optimistic note, Ash went for can of corn and made himself a rudimentary meal while Pikachu and Togepi played tag. They seemed to be having fun, and they kept to themselves except occasionally using Ash’s legs for cover. He chuckled, tossed a few treats around the room for them to grab while they ran, and settled down to eat.
He almost made it to the end of the meal before trouble started.
(“Um, Ash?”)
“Reah, Riachu?”
(“You know Togepi knows Metronome, right?”)
“He what?”
(“Tick tock, Uncle! Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock!”)
“WARGH!” Togepi’s Metronome was never a good sign. More often than not, it resulted in explosions or teleportation, neither of which were exciting prospects on a ship. “Togepi, please stop!”
(“Stop what? Tick tock, tick tock…”)
“Pikachu,” Ash pleaded, looking at his partner. “Do something!”
After a slight moment of panic, Pikachu began tickling Togepi. The Spike Ball Pokemon’s laughter caused it to stop waving its hands around. Ash sighed in relief.
(“T-T-T-Tick t-tock! T-tick t-t-to-tock…”)
“He’s still going, Pikachu!”
(“Well, whaddya want me to do?”) Pikachu screamed. (“It’s not like turning off a lightbulb!”)
“WAAAAH!! Okay, okay, let’s not panic. Um - um - um - let’s…let’s get him outside!” Whatever Metronome pulled up, it had to be less damaging if they were on deck. Ash scooped Togepi up, let Pikachu hop onto his shoulder, and raced out the cabin and into the hall - though he took care to go down the hallway opposite to where Misty’s door was.
(“Ticktockticktocktick–”)
Ash panicked and set Togepi down on the deck. He hoped that no one was too close. Pikachu leapt into his arms and they held onto each other for dear life. Suddenly, Togepi’s waving stopped. After a very brief pause, he began to hop uselessly on the ground: Metronome had called Splash.
“…That was it?”
(“Splash splash, Daddy!”)
“Daddy? Huh. Well, at least you didn’t wreck anything -”
A massive shadow dropped across them all, a heavy hand pounded on Ash’s shoulder, and a gruff, deep voice bellowed: “Was that your Togepi that splashed my Magby?”
Ash winced as he turned to look at the sailor’s face. “Er… t-technically it’s not my Togepi –”
“I saw you carrying it,” the sailor replied, eyes narrowed. “Why would it not be yours?”
In desperation, Ash looked around for Brock, but the Breeder was nowhere to be seen. “U-uhm… don’t hurt me.”
“My Magby is very upset.” The more quiet the sailor’s voice got, the more intimidating it sounded.
“Ah - yeah.” Ash looked around the sailor (some feat, for how broad he was) to a scowling, soaking Magby. “Sorry about that. Togepi’s just a baby, and you know Metronome -”
“He deals with being upset by battling.”
“Huh? Oh - you want a Pokemon Battle? Okay, sure, it’s the least I can -”
“Magby versus your Togepi.”
Ash paled. “T-togepi can’t – doesn’t battle–”
“It’s a Pokemon, isn’t it?” demanded the sailor.
“Yeah, but it’s not mine. Pikachu is–”
“I don’t give a damn about your Pikachu!” yelled the sailor, now holding Ash up by his collar. “You owe me, brat!”
“Little help, buddy?” Ash whispered at Pikachu, who had been protecting Togepi.
(“I can shock him, but I’ll get you, too.”)
“Don’t care, do it!”
Pikachu sighed and readied his cheeks, but while his guard was down, Togepi waddled out from behind him and cheerfully approached the Magby. (“Hi, friend!”) he chirped, and held out a digit.
For his part, the Magby seemed flummoxed. He eyed the digit suspiciously and took a step back. (“This your psych game?”) he asked.
(“‘Psych?’ No duck - I’m egg!”) Togepi inched closer to Magby, his digit still out and his face in its widest, sweetest smile.
(“Come on, this is your whole strat, right?”) The Magby kept backing up, but Togepi kept on offering his digit. (“That’s playing dirty, man! Just go for the battle already!”)
“Call your egg off, kid!” the sailor screeched, in a much more high-pitched voice than he’d used until now. “They’re almost at the railing and they’re both shorter than the first beam!”
“Pikachu–!” gasped Ash, kicking his legs to no avail.
Pikachu dashed behind Magby and started to push, but as Magby turned, Togepi’s digit glowed… Ash whimpered and shut his eyes, bracing for the inevitable… … but nothing happened. Ash opened his eyes and found himself lying flat on his back on the deck, staring up at the blue sky. He sat up. Togepi was being held by Pikachu, and the sailor and his Magby floated in midair, restrained by a psychic field.
“What’s going on?” asked the captain in a deep voice, his Alakazam standing nearby.
Part of the question was answered for Ash: Togepi’s second Metronome was a blast of Hyper Beam, speeding the ship up by about 70 knots for a few seconds before it settled back down. The sailor and his Magby were still in tow, though it took a while for Alakazam to reel them back in so they were above the deck. The captain’s moustache twitched in a friendly way as he glanced down at Ash. “Still learning what Metronome can do, isn’t he?”
“Yeah,” Ash sighed. Misty was never going to let him hear the end of this…
“I apologize for my crewman’s behavior,” the captain continued, frowning at the sailor. “I shall give him a stern talking-to.”
He’s not the only one who’s gonna sit through one, Ash thought.
“Incidentally,” said the captain, “when did your Togepi first start exhibiting that move?”
“Who knows? My Pikachu knew before I did. And it’s not my Togepi, it’s Misty’s.”
“Hmmm. Well, if your Misty doesn’t know about the ability, it might be best to tell her before another accident happens.”
“Probably,” Ash agreed. “But I’m not telling her 'til we’re off the ship. She’ll want to throw me overboard if she hears about this.”
The captain’s moustache twitched again. “Word of advice, young mate: polite but firm. That’s the way to break rough news to a sweetheart.”
“I am firm, but for someone so scrawny, she can lift about - WAAAH!?”
Pikachu snickered, which Ash ignored. He could feel his face heating up. “She’s just a friend!”
The captain smiled. “As you say, young man.”
(“Daddy!”) Togepi waddled over to Ash and reached up for him. (“Ride, Daddy! Ride!”)
“Huh? Oh - sure,” Ash chuckled. He picked Togepi up and set him on one shoulder, and let Pikachu hop onto the other. “I still don’t know why you call me that, but let’s head into the buffet! You must be hungry. Then, maybe Pikachu 'n me can see what else you can do…”
Ash thought he heard the captain chuckling softly with his Alakazam as they headed inside.
Later…
It was risky, but Ash knocked on Misty’s cabin door regardless. After a moment or two, he heard a weak “come in” and entered. Misty was lying with her back to him, layers of blankets piled atop of her.
“Hey Mist.”
“How’s Togepi?” she asked, and Ash rolled his eyes: of course she’d ask about her Pokemon first.
“Fine. Almost got me into trouble, but fine.” Misty turned over, staring at him.
“Togepi almost got you in trouble, or you almost got Togepi in trouble?”
“The first one.” Ash made sure to keep his tone even. Polite but firm - it’s worth a shot… “Say, Misty - you know how you keep trying to get Togepi to use a move?”
“Ash, I’m not in the mood to argue about who’s a better Trainer…”
“No, see - ” Ash pulled up a chair and set Togepi on Misty’s lap. “Well, there’s good news and bad news. Togepi knows a move,” he said. “But it’s Metronome.”
Misty continued staring at him. “I don’t believe you. How could Togepi use a move,” she spoke over Ash’s sputter. “Without me knowing it?”
“It could happen,” Ash insisted. This 'polite’ stuff’s getting hard… “It’s like when your Pokemon evolves - you don’t always know, right?”
“Ash, do you know how much trouble Metronome would cause?” said Misty. “I actually pay attention around here. I would notice it.”
“Misty, it’s not a big deal. None of us noticed it - well, Pikachu did, but -”
“Look, Ash, I’m sure this is some goofy plan to make me feel better, and I appreciate it, but I really need some rest, so just take Togepi back to your cabin until I - what is it, Togepi?”
(“Tick tock, Mommy!”)
Misty looked up just in time to see the door closing: Ash had fled in terror. By the time she glanced back down at Togepi, Metronome had completed. A pleasant, flowery smell wafted throughout the air, elevating Misty’s mood and making her feel just a little better.
“Thank you, Togepi,” she smiled before setting her head back into her pillow and falling asleep once more. The scent of Aromatherapy continued to fill her canopy, dissipating just before Ash cracked open the door again.
DIDDLY DIDDLY END FLASHBACK DIDDLY
“You know, that didn’t turn out so bad after all,” said Ash as he broke a cookie in half and split it with Pikachu. “She was too sick to freak out, and she started trying to train Togepi to use it by the time we landed.”
(“She never did get it to work, did she?”) said Pikachu, through a mouthful of cookie.
“Not before Togetic left. But he turned out fine. And it’s not like her other Pokemon have gone crazy with moves like that since.
CLICK! "I’m home!” Misty’s voice carried through the house.
“In the kitchen,” Ash called back. “How was the Gym today?”
“Fine, but the strangest thing happened. Psyduck’s started to show signs that he’s learned a new Psychic move, and - Ash Ketchum, where do you and Pikachu think you’re going!?”
