Y'all wanted the Pokemon Au y'all getting the Pokemon au, explanations for the Pokemon and more Au info under the cut. Feel free to put questions about the Au in my Ask box

The Au is focused on Pirate captains being Pokemon trainers and their crew their Pokemon, with exceptions like non pirate characters who have Pokemon based on their personalitys.

The world is a mix out of the op world and Pokemon universe, so instead of canon Pokemon regions the regions are based of the op islands, as an example, Luffy is from the Goa Region and travels to other Regions like the Alabasta region or Wano region, in order to beat the strongest trainers in each place he visits in order to become world champion.

Luffys team

Zoro as Chine-Pao: Zoro is often associated with tigers (big cats) and obviously his swords. Luffy also meets him for the first time while he is tied up, wich can parallel how you optain a Chien-Pao wich is locked away

Nami as Liepard: Luffy would meet Nami as a Purloin, wich are known for tricking and stealing from people, her title is also “Cat burgler”

Usopp as Inteleon: Luffy would meet Usopp as a Wobble, since he's such a coward at the start of the series. He would evolve into Drizzile during Water 7 and latter into Inteleon. Inteleon was kind of a no brainer since it's the only sniper Pokemon.

Sanji as Cinderac: Cinderace's Signature move is a Flame kick of sorts. Luffy would meet him as a Raboot, and evolves intomCinderace during Enies Lobby. (British opla sanji…)

Chopper as Sawsbuck: Reindeer, Cheery blossoms.

Robin as Runerigus: Robin is an archaeologists who specifies in finding all of the poneglyphs so her Pokemon being made out off rune tablets makes a lot of sense. Plus the ghost typing can be a hint to her title of “Devil child”

Franky as Blastoise: Franky is basically a weapon himself so making him the literal Tank turtle makes sense to me, also remember the Squirtle with the sunglasses? yeah.

Brook as Houndstone: There aren't a lot of skeleton Pokemon so there was little choice. Houndstones is part of the Ghost gym leaders team, who is a Musician.

Jinbei as Empoleon: Jinbei used to be one of the seven warlords of the sea and is a very honorable person wich works with the personality of Empoleons. He's also shown using a Trident as a weapon.

Kobys team

Milotic: Both of them start of as ugly little loser boys but have one hell of a glow up /affectionate + Milotic would be a great swimming buddy.

Lycanroc: (dog boy koby is so real to me) Dog Pokemon, though more commonly Arcanine, are used as police Pokemon, most likely given to him by Garp.

Gallade: The Fighting type fits Kobys swinging hand approach well and the Psychic type his Observation haki plus being quite the noble Pokemon.

Togekiss: A flying type to reference his Moonwalk ability and generally seeming like a Pokemon would put the effort into raising.

Lucario: dog.. Again, Another Pokemon I feel like Koby would put the effort into raising, fighting type, and the Aura gimmick just matches the vibe as well yk.

Blissey: A healer Pokemon that would assist both hurt trainers and Pokemon, god knows it's good to have one on you when you travel with Luffy.

Poketrainer AU: A knight and her beloved companions

Her roster might not be the most orthodox for someone of her knightly order, but none can deny Minovae's love and care makes her team just as effective as any classic corviknight- or houndour-centric one!

...The spoiled satchel Feebas, however... One might assume she dresses it with ribbons and babies it knowing full well what it's capable of becoming, yet when asked, could only respond with confusion not knowing what a milotic even is. She found the feebas, especially small and ugly even for its kind, injured and washed up on the shore during a patrol, and nursed it back to health. It's been one of her most prized companions ever since, even if she's never once used it in battle. Her other 5 pokemon, at least, are strong enough in their own right to more than make up for it!

This is Hazama as a Pokemon owner in a Pokemon AU or something. I started that because of an inside joke. (So you can consider this a crack crossover.)

Yes, those would be his 2 main Pokémon.

There's Siveper because... Snake with naughty grin, with huge fangs and a knife tail... this is Hazama all over.

And Gardevoir because green hair, doll-like pokemon (this make sense if you know the lore), can read minds (or do mind tricks), and she has interesting universe shattering powers with black holes. Furthermore, she's one of the most sexualized pokemon (this is related because Hazama is one of the more sexualized men in Blazblue... and not even as a joke, like, really, they even acknowledge his many fangirls in the game. Women stay the most sexualize, of course). And more stuff that would make this too long. But this Hazama & Gardevoir pairing is deep, trust me.

K. Rool, your first member of the Elite 4 in the Pokemon Trainer AU

YES FINALLY WE'RE AT THIS POINT!!!!!

Kris, better known outside the league as K. Rool, is the usual first Elite 4 trainers wanting to attain champion rank will face. An air of regality about him, he's also the owner of a company that helps supplies equipment to pokemon centers throughout the region. He's been known to disappear pretty often, but this is so common an occurrence that most don't tend to think anything of it. There's rumors these disappearances are connected to Team Void, but either he's good at covering his tracks or they're just unfounded as there's no concrete evidence that connects K. Rool to the infamous group.

K. Rool is a Unova native, with ancestry from Galar. In his free time, he likes to volunteer at the pokemon center, but he doesn't tend to make a big deal about it.

His team consists of:

Kerozene (Skeledirge, female, Jolly nature)

Castle (Crobat, male, Impish nature)

Mick (Hitmonchan, male, Lax nature)

Creme (Krookodile, female, Bold nature)

Dogadon (Vikavolt, female, Quirky nature)

Baron (Porygon-Z, Hasty nature)

Some additional fun facts:

-The only trainer inspiration K. Rool is meant to have here is Steven Stone, if only because it's the vibe I was trying to give off.

-He has no beard in the initial art because I simply forgot to give him one. It's an error I've made sure to rectify in every piece concerning him since, as well as making him a bit chunkier. I am not certain how well this latter change shows in the alt art.

-The names of all members of K. Rool's team reference the Donkey Kong games he's appeared in, even if it may not be obvious. They're also all very very spoiled, much more so than any other league trainer's team.

-The shiny totodile pictured in the initial art is named Klappy. She's not listed on his team due to her being sickly, so she's more of an actual pet. He met her on one of his excursions to the pokemon center, where she was being evaluated before being passed on to a pokemon lab, and offered to take her in. In a meta sense, since he was originally shown in April of 2022, Klappy was meant as a placeholder until ScarVi came out and the trainer card builder I was using obtained the assets to include Paldea pokemon.

-I originally intended to give him a clodsire as well because I'm emotionally attached to them to fit with his primary typing being ground, but I was too proud of the team to take anyone out.

-K. Rool was also a former champion for the Unova league, having held the position before the current champion. He climbed his way back through the ranks on his own merit, and likes to make little comments about taking the title back one day, although he says this more as a joke.

-He despises nanab berries.

After sitting around on my laptop for months, these two are finally finished. Just like last time, my ideas will be under the cut.

Dedede - Between being the Popstar Region's King and Champion, he has a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. Despite this, he's usually pretty laid-back and enjoys taking things at his own pace. He certainly does have his selfish moments, and like Kirby, he can be a bit of a glutton. Despite his flaws though, he's constantly cheering Kirby and his friends on.

He often worries about Bandana, so he encourages Kirby to cheer him on no matter what.

Zero - A strange man who simply wishes to spread his influence throughout the region, or so he claims. He occasionally runs into Kirby during his travels, and will often ask him to join his cause. However, Kirby doesn't seem interested.

For some reason, Gooey heavily distrusts him. Meanwhile, Blade seems genuinely afraid of him.

Oscar's Pokemon

Oscar Piastri seeks his luck as a Coordinator, rather than pursuing the Gym Challenge. That means he's competing in Pokemon Contests, where the appearance of his Pokemon and their ability to captivate the audience will be tested, as well as their battling capabilities.

Oscar's first Pokemon he evolved from an Eevee. Dawn is strictly for the Performance Stage of Contests, meaning she is not trained for traditional battling at all. Oscar is very protective of her and often had to tell people off who wanted to battle her even after Oscar said no.

A new addition to the team, Rowlet is doing his best to improve his performance during the Performance Stage. Does not like battling and would rather nap all day.

Lapras is a gentle soul and is at her peak during the Performance Stage. However, Oscar specifically trained her to de-escalate conflicts, using a combination of Sing and Icy Wind to calm down opponents.

Just like Oscar, she looks cute and unassuming but isn't to be underestimated! She packs a mean punch, which is why she's the designated battler of the team. She shines best during the Battle Stage of Contests.

Battler in training. He tries to be intimidating but fails miserably. The audience love him for exactly this quality.

He's moral support. Likes to sleep on the sidelines and cheer on the team in his own special way. Can often be found cuddling with Oscar and Rowlet, all of them napping quite peacefully.

A doodle of Nightingale and one of her Pokémon who she lovely named "Oswald". Oswald is a bit... um, well, Ax-crazy and also a blood knight. Nightingale is just plain insane.

Hi lol so here is Gideon's team if he had Pokemon:

Tinkaton, Mawile, Sylveon, Obstagoon, Fuecoco, and Absol.

Alternatively: A cursed object user, A rogue, a Princess, a Chaos Uncle, a literal child, and a Gay Disaster.

Typings he'd align with really well are fairy, electric and steel.

But boy had to mix in some dark typings as well. And Fuecoco is a baby that is the only reason he's there (but like the fire ghost later is badass, maybe Gideon can allow his son to grow up eventually.)

Pokemon Team Headcanons:

Gideon chose Fuecoco as his starter but refused to let it fight because "look at his little child face he can't fucking fight-"

He may or may not carry him in a little baby pouch.

Absol refuses to stay in the pokeball.

Absol is Gideon's companion Pokemon and he refuses any other title.

Absol and Sylveon get along really well with one another.

Sylveon loves everyone.

Obstagoon lives for chaos and will laugh at pranks that he may or may not have orchestrated.

Obstagoon is also the most protective Pokemon of the team.

Tinkaton and Mawile are the two best friends that sit in the back of the classroom and draw cartoons with each other.

Tinkaton likes to make people laugh, Mawile enjoys a good laugh. They're a good pair.
