1. Three Ships

Ooof, I got so many, I'm gonna put the three I'm currently obsessed with (bc I'm not sure I could choose just three as favorite)

Vegebul, my beloved, my OTP, the light in my life, the best anime couple imo

Trumai (yes, both versions), the successor of Vegebul, they have me in a hold just as strong as them, it's such a weird but fun pairing, I adore them

Hurrem x Suleiman (look at themmmmm) everytime suleyman spoke his poems to hurrem I melted, no ship has ever have such romantic quotes. Plus, i use a lot of their scenes for royal aus, it's just gold

I know you said three but I gotta give an honorable mention to Lawmane, who's ever present in my mind, even if I dont post about them as often as before. They would've been THE couple if only Misa hadnt fallen for that gay republican

2. First Ever Ship

I think it was either Sparrabeth or Quogan, I'm not too sure (Quogan was the first ship I've read a fanfic of tho). I'm still obsessed with both, maybe more than when I was younger. I remember wanting Spareabeth to be endgame and to know more of Quogan's life after the show's end, but now it's a NEED

3. Last Song

Funeral by Mon Laferte. It's an amazing song, it speaks of being in a loveless/passionless relationship and wondering how it got that way and wanting nothing more than for it to finally reach its end. My favorite part goes something like this: "While I prepare breakfast I feel so terribly alone, suddenly I want to die, I want to run away from you. I wish I was on the ocean, letting the waves carry me away, I want to stop breathing; dont wake me up, I want to keep dreaming about our funeral" not a perfect translation, but you get the point. The narrator feels so helpless and is so desperate to find a way put an end to that relationship, other part of the song reflects her regret on how they both let the relationship die and wishes she could go back in time and prevent it, but nonetheless their love has died and they're both wasting their time by still being together.

I listen to it a lot when I need to think an angst AU or something lol. But the singer is so good and shows such emotions through her voice, it makes me relate, even tho I've never been on that situation (thankfully)

If you want to get into Hispanic music, I definitely recommend Mon Laferte, she's one of my favorite artist, "Se me va a quemar el corazón" is another amazing song of hers that I recommend.

Amazing movie, it was fun and light to watch and not to be taken too seriously + it has my gf Anya Taylor-Joy (ORGULLO ARGENTINO), I took a peek at its tag on ao3 out of curiosity and I'm embarrassed to say who I'm shipping now, but if you know me, you can probably guess

5. Currently Reading

Nothing new, I've re read my favorite books, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Chronicle of a Death Foretold by GGM. The little prince was the first book ive ever read, I always heard it's a book you should read as a kid and then later as an adult, and my God, it's true, it's a completely different experience. 6 yo me thought it was a fun book about a man hallucinating in the desert, 24 yo me cred like a baby full of longing for a childhood I didn't appreciate and grief of the kid in me that inevitably died as I grew up and became an adult.

I never tire of reading CoaDF, everytime I expect the end to be different even tho the very beginning tells you what's gonna happen.

I dont have much time, so I choose those too bc they're a short read. However, I'm gonna start to reread asoiaf books too, bc I can never get enough of them

6. Currently Watching

Like I said, I have no time, so I stick to Sitcoms I can put on the bg while I work. I'm currently rewatching The Nanny, I forgot how much I loved it. And I swear, I'll start dressing as Fran as soon as I have time to buy new clothes, her style is just, mwah chef's kiss, obsessed.

And omg, I forgot how slow the burn in this show was, its Season 5 and they're still not dating!!!! Immabout to throw gasoline at them!!!!!

Aaah an otp ask game that i decided to just... answer everything to. (Since i dont really get many asks 😅😅😅) Aaaanyway here are 20 questions about my Otp, Megatron and Orion Pax, specifically from the Two Sides to a Coin AU i been working on with @lets-try-some-writing.

I literally adore these two and their dynamic so much. I just have so many feelings about the two of them, hope yall enjoy this little exercise.

1. What's the biggest wish the members of your otp have for the other? Is it a wish that could come true? Do they actively work towards it?

Orion Pax wishes that his lover would be seen as a respectable mech in every day society. He wants Megatron to be able to find employment should he want to. He wants his voice to be heard. He wants Megatron to be able to access everything Orion feels he is entitled to.. He also knows that this wish is an uphill battle after the war. Too many believe the official lies told about why the war started so quickly and with such brutality. Orion has been working diligently to expose these truths, even though he knows deep down that Cybertron will never trust Megatron and most will see only a monster.

As for Megatron, what he wants for Orion is for him to be able to heal from the trauma inflicted on him by the war and his entrapment behind the Matrix. This is why he tolerates Ratchet's mistreatment of Orion, because without Ratchet's expertise, his mate would still be mostly withdrawn into himself and lashing out at everyone like a wild animal, instead of just causing hell for the Council.

2. How comfortable are the members of your otp around each other? Do they care about keeping up appearances? Would they care if the other(s) saw them groggy, undressed, without makeup, etc.?

They are both COMPLETELY comfortable around each other to the point neither have any shame when they are alone. Both of them think nothing of walking around their hab with panels popped open from earlier tangles of passion (poor Hush). They have seen each other at some of their lowest points, so superficial things like grogginess or being dressed just aren't concerns to them.

3. If your otp were stuck in an elevator/other cramped space with not much to do, how would they pass the time?

(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) this is easy. They would do each other to pass the time once conversation inevitably falls to flirting, and their proximity combined with being alone makes touching irresistible.

4. After a bad day, what would each member of your otp do to cheer the other up?

Depends on the type of bad day, but if Orion has a bad day at work, Megatron will spend extra time doting on him once he gets home from work. He will prepare Orion’s energon with extra care for flavor and consistency, making sure it is just the way he likes it. He will listen intently as Orion complains about what has him troubled. Kisses and affectionate touches are doubled and it is not uncommon for Megatron to pull a frustrated from work Orion Pax into his lap for a good long snuggle.

If Orion has a bad day in the sense of his mental health, Megatron will call Ratchet for Orion to request medication or advice (even tho he hates that fragger). He will make a point to stay in whatever room Orion chooses to spend the day as much as possible, to bathe him in his field, constantly pouring love and reassurance at him. If Orion is unable to leave the berth, Megatron will big spoon him, and whisper poetics in his audials

If Megatron has a bad day, Orion Pax goes into full devotion mode. He will pamper his champion by waxing his plating, soothing any aches and pains by dipping his digits into transformation seams and under plating to massage or untangle over stressed wires and components. He will prep Megatron's fuels with just as much care as Megatron does for him, and if that fails to comfort him, Orion will unleash his field and wrap him up in his full devotion.

Both of them will read aloud to the other as a means of comfort, as well as engage in what may appear to be heated arguments, but are in fact, simply debates or discussions they are using to blow off steam with each other.

5. What's your otp's ideal vision of the future? What would they want to happen? Where would they want to live?

Orion wants to go home to Kaon with Megatron in the future, away from what he considers to be the oppressive Iaconian etiquette standards (and Optimus Prime). He wishes to have a modest hab with a large garden where he can grow as many crystals as he wants. He wants to expand the Hall of Records to have branches in each major city, both to aid the mechs living in those regions, but also so he may retain his job as head Archivist no matter where he chooses to live. Orion wants to stand at Megatron’s side every day for the rest of his life, and wants to do all he can to help Megatron see the Cybertron he dreams of, He hopes to one day raise many sparklings with Megatron, who he knows will make as good a sire as he does a conjunx. but above all else, Orion just wants to be with Megatron. Everything else is secondary. This is his most selfish desire for the future. He would literally give up everything else just to stay at Megatron’s side.

Megatron also is homesick for Kaon after living so long in New Iacon, but is mostly happy as long as Orion remains at his side. He has hopes that Optimus and Ratchet will pull their helms out of their afts and fix the many problems that both he and Orion have been bringing up to the Council and citizens but honestly has doubts their concerns are being heard with any deal of seriousness. He wants a truly free Cybertron, one where former Decepticons can live alongside former Autobots in peace. He wants those of living in the sublevels to have the same access to public services as those on the surface. He wants a true end to functionalism and the idea that frametype has anything to do with intelligence or personality. Megatron wanted originally to forge a better Cybertron for all citizens and he STILL holds on to that original ideal he had before he fell into madness. He is not keen on the idea of sparklings, as he does not think he would be a suitable sire for anyone, and he fears that being tied to him would make any sparkling's life more difficult just by association.

6. If your otp went on a holiday, what would they pack? What would they definitely forget? How would one react to the other forgetting that thing?

Orion would pack things for them to read while they’re relaxing. Holiday is meant for downtime and that is what Orion will plan for. Datapads, a comfortable thermoplastic sheet, his medications and some of his favorite snacks. Megatron is much the same, and would pack to relax. He would pack items such as a cleaning cloth, plating polish, his writing materials, as much shanix as he thinks they will need, and then a bit more for good measure. Neither of them would think to bring an itinerary. They are so focused on relaxing that they simply forget to make actual plans at their destination, both relying on the other to do so. However, upon discovery of this the two of them simply laugh it off, this is so typical of them, and enjoy their time moseying about near their hotel and just spending time together.

7. Your otp has to spend some time apart for whatever reason. How would they bridge that time? How would they react upon seeing each other again? Would anything change?

This is a good one. These two are so very codependent on each other. Their forced separation during the war has left deep scars on both of them that leaves them both anxious when they are apart, even for normal daily life, however, it is actually Orion who is better at coping with separation. Their bond runs deep, they can feel each other’s emotions quite clearly through it and Megatron is always monitoring Orion’s emotions when they are apart. He could not feel it at all during the war and now is hyperaware of everything Orion is feeling and any blip or change in those emotions puts him on alert. He worries for his Archivist when he cannot be there to protect him or help him should he need it, because his failure before the war led to Orion being taken and locked away. The further away Orion is, the stronger his anxiety, because he cannot get to him as quickly if he’s needed. It is not uncommon for him to private comm Orion (either voice or text) to ease his anxieties that Orion is okay. This is just a normal workday, if Orion was called off on a mission I do not think he would cope well, He would demand he come along, with many prefabricated excuses as to why he needs to be there, even though he knows Orion knows the truth of the matter.

Orion also suffers anxiety at separation, but the medications he takes to help manage his field disruptions act as a bit of a dampener in this respect. He misses his conjunx terribly while they are apart, but it doesn’t eat at his spark as harshly as it does Megatron. He too frequently comms when he feels Megatron’s emotions dip too far, but he always allows time for Megatron to course correct his emotions himself before reaching out, though he often does comm over interesting things he learns while working as well. Orion would be much more comfortable with the idea of a short separation, but still would not be pleased by it.

Upon any reunion between the two, they embrace as closely and as tightly as they can, both with arms and with their fields. They tell each other how much they missed each other and almost always share a brief romantic moment of gazing into each other’s optics before kissing, and nuzzling each others faces. A long separation would make this small ritual of theirs last much longer is all, and afterwards they would be extra touchy and there would be an entire day of them just sitting nearly on top of each other because they missed each other’s touch so much.

8. One part of your otp found out they didn't have much time left to live. How would they react? Would they tell the other? Would they spend every last second together or would they withdraw to soften the blow?

Both of them would be completely honest with the other about their impending deaths. Honesty was something they swore to each other at the very start of their union. Both would spend every last second with the other until the very end, no matter how badly it hurt. They promised each other eternity and meant it.

If Megatron were the one to die, Orion Pax would first completely retreat into himself. He would hear no one speaking to him, nor even see them standing in front of him, and his field would flare wildly with his inner grief and anguish. He would be truly spark broken, and likely would not survive long after Megatron died,

If Orion were the one who died, Megatron would be absolutely devastated, but because he has so many dreams independent of Orion, he still has something to live for. He would pour all his grief into his dreams of a better Cybertron, one that truly is free, and yes, he would fight for it again if he has to. He would endure with the hope that Orion’s belief in reincarnation was true and that someday they would be reunited once more.

9. What annoys each member of your otp about the other? Do they tell them? Do they compromise/work it out?

Megatron thinks Orion is a selfish, insufferable little glitch and will tell him so, right to his face. Honesty, after all, but he also is sure to tell Orion that he would not have him any other way. Megatron also finds it annoying that Orion refuses to see the truth: that Ratchet is NOT his friend, and hasn’t been for a long time. He tells him that too, and Orion resists it because he has hope that their friendship is strong enough to overcome this, even though deep down he knows Megatron is right. Orion finds it annoying that Megatron frequently loses his place in his datapads and he has to search for where he left off, but this inconvenience hasn’t been something he’s felt the need to speak up about yet, and once he does, Megatron will likely solve the problem.

10. If your otp had met at a different point in time/their lives, what would change? Would they still end up together?

If they met up earlier than they did, they absolutely would have ended up together and their bond would have been even stronger during the war. Had they met up much later, they maybe wouldn’t have had time to form a romantic bond, which would have greatly influenced Orion’s reaction to being given to the Matrix. Without Megatron’s influence to be more selfish and do things for himself because he wants to, he would have most certainly rolled over for the Matrix and accepted his role with little fuss, though he would have still suffered the loss of his life, he likely would never have lashed out violently.

11. What is your otp's most special moment? If they could travel back in time to relive it, would they? Would they change anything?

Their bonding rite, when they (unofficially, in the optics of the government) conjunxed themselves. Orion had been courting Megatron for over a vorn before Megatron decided it was enough. He took Orion deep into a defunct mine below the gladiatorial arena to a natural chamber full of giant, glowing crystals that were useless to harvest but gorgeous to look at. It was there he and Orion first engraved, painted and laid official claims on each other’s sparks and frames. It was also here they first committed an act of blasphemy: consuming energon drawn from each other’s spark chambers, an act that only served to tie them even closer together. The only thing they would change if they could go back would be that they would proudly show off their claims to the world, instead of hiding them away to avoid their illegal bond harming their cause.

12. Was/is it difficult for the members of your otp to realise their feelings? Were they okay with those feelings or were they in denial?

Megatron knew long before Orion did that he was in love. He knew as soon as he agreed to pop his panels for Orion the first time that he had to be helm over pede in love to seriously consider something so taboo as interfacing with Trion’s prized pupil, Orion was practically an untouchable due to his association with the Head Archivist. But Orion came to him to express his newfound selfishness, and he couldn’t find it in his spark to deny him what he had specifically told him to seek out; what he really wanted. If that was a few experimental interfaces and surface level merges, he was happy to oblige. But when it came down to things getting serious??? He rebuffed Orion’s attempts at courtship several times. He believed that Orion would be destroyed by his way of life, but he was only delaying the inevitable.

Orion, however, did not realize he was in love until it literally slapped him in his face. He and Megatron had been ‘fooling around’ a little with each other but no feelings were attached, or so he thought. It was simply a matter of Megatron helping him learn to be more selfish, until it wasn’t that anymore. Megatron standing up for him to his Sire awoke a deep realization that he wanted so much more from the Champion of Kaon than he originally thought. Though Megatron turned down his courtship several times, he still insisted that Orion pursue the things he wanted in life, including himself. When Megatron finally agreed, their relationship ignited like an inferno

13. If your otp moved in together, what would their home look like? What would be each member's touch? Would they argue over it?

They have lived together. They prefer habs with less rooms and more space to accommodate Megatron’s larger frame size. Both habs they have lived in post war had high ceilings, wide and tall door frames and large living spaces. For the same reason, they prefer large pieces of furniture to accommodate Megatron. Orion likes the extra floor space, it gives him plenty of space to plop down and spread out his work all around him

Orion is not much concerned with the way the hab looks as much as he is how it functions. He likes to have plenty of niches and cubbies to stash things as he sees fit, However, he never forgets where he puts anything, no matter how nonsensical it seems. If he were in control, the hab would be completely full of shelves stocked with datapads from any and all subjects Orion or Megatron found interesting as a means of lining the walls rather than actually decorating. As it is now his collection of datapads is organized in a manner that only Orion himself understands. However, he does have a few things he likes to display, such as his favorite rocks from his collection, a framed transcript of the first speech of Megatron’s he ever heard, his potted crystal and the crystal shard he has yet to plant that Megatron gave him during their reforging rites.

Megatron on the other hand, while eccentric in his style, does indeed like to have some decor in his hab. He enjoys mixing bold colors and differing styles together to get something he feels matches both himself and Orion. He has many pieces of Kaoni and Decepticon artworks, both paintings and sculptures, that he displays in their berthroom, where he spends most of his time. He keeps Orion's urge to horde datapads in check, by allowing him limited spaces to store them. Orion is secretly grateful for this. They have little reason to argue over it, their habits suit each other perfectly.

14. What is something that would break up your otp? How high is the chance of it actually happening?

I am unsure if anything would make Orion want to break up with Megatron. He already has forgiven murder, plague, madness, the destruction of cybertron, the maiming of his sparkling and so much more. As for Megatron, he would have broken up with Orion for sure if he’d taken the Matrix willingly, but he didn’t. The likelihood of them breaking up is practically 0 at this point.

15. If one member of your otp could only experience the other with one sense (sight, touch, hearing, taste, smell, fantasy senses, etc), which one would they choose? Would they find a way to work around the issue?

They both would choose touch in this scenario. They went so long without being able to touch one another that neither of them ever want to go through that again. Though hearing is a close second for Orion, because he loves Megatron’s poetry almost as much as he loves the mech himself, cheese and all.

16. If one member of your otp committed a serious crime, how would the other react? Would they forgive? Help cover it up? Go to the police?

Lol. Orion’s already aided Megatron in various serious crimes, including during the war while he was fighting denta and claw to keep him and his soldiers alive. Even pre war, Orion aided Megatron in committing various crimes, by means of delivering him information necessary to do so. Orion may not be capable of pulling the trigger himself, but he is more than happy to supply the ammo, if you catch my drift.

Megatron absolutely would help Orion hide a body. After all the scrap Orion has done for him, the least he can do is not ask questions.

17. If one member of your otp had an accident and was left with a permanent disability (Paralysed, missing limb, lost senses, etc.) how would they both deal with that? Would they cope? Would that be too much for them?

Orion is disabled now. His field management disorder is a disability that will probably be permanent. It is the main reason Orion holds it in so close, because he cannot filter its strength and it is painfully powerful when he is feeling negatively and incredibly overwhelming if he is feeling positively. He no longer has access to an entire layer of communication used by his people, and tries to make up for it by loading his speech with subglyphs to make sure he’s understood properly. Megatron suffers the brunt of Orion’s painful field attacks with little complaint, other than it hurts. He is honest about that, every time Orion asks, and it will never be too much for him and he also has no qualms with telling Orion how much he loves the nearly overwhelming weight of his field all around him when they are being intimate. They are quite happy together.

If Megatron were to become disabled, it would be difficult to adjust to, in the sense that Orion would find his work/home life more challenging to juggle, but he WOULD find a way to make it work. He would also be honest with Megatron about how difficult it is to maintain, but their love absolutely would see them through it until the perfect balance was struck. Orion is just as devoted to Megatron as Megatron is to him. It would be a difficult adjustment, but in the end they still would be quite happy together.

18. What are the small gestures with which your otp says 'I love you'? Are those daily rituals? Is the other aware of the intention behind those gestures?

They have so many little rituals they do to express love to each other. One I mentioned already, their daily embrace when Orion returns home from work. In the mornings, Megatron always helps Orion prepare for the day, polishing and cleaning him up so he looks as respectable as possible. In the evenings before recharge, they cuddle up together either in berth or on the sofa and read to each other. They express their love often through physical touch, both small brushes against each other to outright grabbing each other for kisses or embraces, each touch is a declaration of their love for each other and they both understand that.

19. Is the approval of family and friends important to your otp? If so, how would they try to win over a skeptical in-law? Would they cut people off if they didn't approve of the relationship?

Complete honesty: they dont give a frag. The odds were stacked against them from the very beginning on this one. Orion knew that none of his friends or his sire would ever approve an illegal intercaste union with a mech like Megatron. So he hid it until he had no choice but to reveal their involvement with each other While the disapproval hurts, he would rather cling to the few mechs he considers to be his loved ones rather than cut them out.

As for Megatron, the only mech who's opinion he truly cared about was Soundwave, and Soundwave was the one who taught Orion Kaoni and gladiatorial courting practices so that he could pursue Megatron properly. Soundwave shipped them before they even knew they were attracted to each other.

20. How tolerant is your otp of each member's ex(es)? Do they care? Do they get jealous when the topic comes up? If they're still in touch with their ex(es), how does the other feel about that?

Orion has no exes. Megatron was his first. However that doesn't stop Megatron from wanting to tear Ratchet apart as if he were an ex. Ratchet is one of the only few mechs Megatron truly sees as a threat to his claim, even though he knows Orion isn’t interested in anyone else. He does not believe that Ratchet was never interested in Orion and this is entirely Ratchet's fault for using his close friendship with Orion to get under Megatron’s skin.

Megatron does have exes, but most of them are long dead and the few that are not, Orion has never even met, and so has no concern over. Even if a jealous ex was to return, Orion would not be worried. He trusts their bond and their love with all his spark and knows Megatron would not allow anyone to attempt to seduce him away from him, but if they were to try, they would have to go through a very possessive Archivist Pax first. He is not threatened by the idea of an ex showing up, but if he feels his claim is being blatantly disrespected, he will not hesitate to lash out about it.

OOOOOH MY BELOVED MAKOTOS!!!!! this got long so. under the cut it goes

favorite thing about them - urgh i love so many things about him… i think my favorite quality of makoto is his kindness and general ability to make friendships. in my opinion, he’s kinda the glue that makes the thh cast my overall favorite cast if that makes sense!! that’s why i think he is the best protag overall, in terms of how well he fulfills the role :)

least favorite thing about them - ohhh idk if i have a least favorite… so i will say that i think the way he wears a blazer over a hoodie looks funny. i feel like i overheat just looking at his outfit

favorite line - i’m a big fan of his “You’re so full of… shit!” line and he just hesitates to swear. IT’S VERY SILLAY OF HIM

brOTP - MAKOTO AND TOKO SHOULD BE THE BEST FRIENDS EVER i love their ftes… it makes me happy that he is so patient with her despite the fact that she is. admittedly frustrating to deal with

OTP - i really like both naegiri and naegami!! if i had to choose, i would probs go with naegiri, if only bc it was one of my first danganronpa ships so it feels a bit special for that reason. HOWEVER lurking on makoto tumblr has sold me on naegami even tho i used to be indifferent

nOTP - this might be a bit controversial but i actually don’t really like naekusaba. i admittedly don’t have the context from danganronpa IF that makes this ship super popular, but i’ve seen the rhetoric that people think makoto can “fix” mukuro a lot, and that kind of thing rubs me the wrong way. while the point of a relationship is to support each other and bring out the best in each other, i dislike the idea that makoto is responsible for healing mukuro’s issues when she has deep issues and he already makes himself responsible for others’ issues in a way that is unfair to him enough

random headcanon - hmm… i love makoto and komaru’s sibling dynamic, and one of my favorite naegami hcs is that komaru just makes him WORK for her approval. like she is absolutely not too shy to use the man for his money and makoto tries to stop her but she is relentless

unpopular opinion - not sure if this counts as entirely unpopular, but MAKOTO IS NOT AT ALL BORING. literally his behavior in future arc is the furthest thing from boring - he is straight up making the most UNHINGED and risky decisions and he deserves the acknowledgment that he is the opposite of boring!!!

song i associate with them - oooo i don’t have a specific song association for makoto but high hopes comes to mind since i know that song gets associated with him all the time for obvious reasons lol

prussia x hungary: OTP <3... one of my first ships, potential childhood friends to lovers (or not), could be one-sided :D, femdom, etc. they are bickering constantly even this day in canon lol, i love them both so much. also i never have a solified hc for erszi, i like thinking her as gnc, queer, both (new tag: #t4t pruhun)... does any of this mean i think they can work? lol, lmao (maybe). better luck in human aus...! well tbh this is how i interpret all nationverse ships, woops. bound to eventual tragedies, everything is temporary, unable to achieve something akin to normality--not knowing what is like either, ever. not like them can not give it a try while it last! they can always start over again!

prussia x austria: their personalities clash 👍. i am a bit picky about them tho, more than with other ships (their personalities clash 👎)... i like when people make rode dominant 😍. an enemies to lovers and opposites attract ship; it can have similar vibes to other similar heta ships, with their own twist from their own oppositive dispositions.

[btw, imo it was obvious from the beginning that they could be somewhat related, in heta terms/logic--as the common hc goes, i think they choose the familiar titles to be less alone in this world, instead of necessarely being blood related--now that hima called 'em cousins, that kind of makes the ship more fun to me lol, as nowadays it makes the ship ""incorrect"" and i am a contrarian piece of shit. in any case, it doesn't fucking matter, this is an old af ship and they're not real.]

frying pangle! my OT3, and my actual favorite form of the ships above (pruaus and pruhun basically always become frying pangle in my hands), while aushun it's cute, althought they should fight more--add all 3 ships here. same dynamics as above x3 (+ as doomed), with the addition of erzsi and gil both being crazy for rod, so they gotta learn to share, making rod the biggest winner--headaches aside. #🍳; #genderpangle

prussia x poland (and viceversa): ...ship order depends of time period! sub gil endgame. i always liked this ship but i didn't see any fanart in the past (so now we are talking). "i hate you... come back to me!" whole thing ;o;

honorable mention of pruliet/lietpru: personally (or how i'd work around it), i like it as gil developing some feelings that will never ever be corresponded :))), that's what he gets after making liet hate him. despite of that i love what the fandom do with both!

talking about these three, liet having to learn to tolerate prussia (enough) and developing feelings in a lietpolpru scenario... love that. aka lietpol+polpru in one, pol must be there lol.

prussia x russia: can't work; looks damn well. i like russia having a crush on prussia who, no matter what, can't quite like him back (at least that's how gil will act!), even if they get to friendly terms and are both menacing together (important point; but i also think that's always short lived). ivan unable to have normal relations in equal terms, something that plagues any of his relationships... otoh, prussia/russia (that order) it's great 👀, i love vanya!!! 💕. toxic :3! toxic overall, but i prefer gilbert *not* completely crushed down, if you know what i mean. tagged mainly with the japanese side of the fandom tag (ユキウサギ; related), translated--switched to the romaji, yukiusagi--reasoning for previous use here.

germany x prussia: generally in that order, and one-sided. often i prefer them just as bros (germany&prussia), except when i like to entertain the idea of germany being a little tiny bit weird about his big bro :), big bro who behaves as a proud mom which can be off-putting to humans who know them (expect them to act like maNnly siblings in their twenties so they are ??????). tldr psychodrama potencial, when the story needs to be unsettling...

...and more ships! like btt poly (friends with benefits?) or all kinds of combinations with the 3! he/him dyke bi gil that's a top leaning switch cuz reasons, more sub than dom i wouldn't trust him as a dom lmao. him being a voluntary celibate does sounds fun--in or not the ace spectrum--but more interesting imo as ace or not ace yet very peculiar and kinky around sex... anyway: am a multishipper and can be convinced about p much anything (just be fun! these bitches are insane).

now for lud:

germany x italy (and reversed): just a classic. make feli a bit less hetare and more a little manipulative selfish little shit :)--his venetian merchant side, if you want. also remember that lud can also be dumb as hell... (is the "north european hardworkers; south europeans lazy" thing that makes me raise an eyebrow). anyway, make italy a kind AND hedonist person, 100% in love with lud (and him 100% in love with feli), but sadly finding their life styles at times clash too much. make feli a dom, whether he tops or bottoms 4 his big boyfriend. lud being tall doesn't mean he has to top or dom lol (same for ivan!! and sve!!). preferences aside, i love anything with gerita ;w;

germany x france (in any order): eu bros, both can learn a bit from each other (like somebody being more rebel lmao). enemies to lovers mandated from the state... for both surprise, it works! besides, both have a romantic side, as much as lud tries to pretend he doesn't lol. i don't see them being monogamous, which is a plus not a negative. an option when italy and england are too busy, or they are in bad terms w them etc... this does hurt both a bit: ainsi va la vie of their kin, better work around that than against it... (also add "i really really really wanted you dead" from fran @ ger lmao)... + frapru redux.

germany x russia (in that order): i never think too hard about this one. mmm, let ivan be pampered here? lud its a caring person (perhaps overcompensating for this case tho...). this ship doesn't seems (way too) imbalanced either, compared to other russia ships, without being rusame that has fruk vibes and vice versa (hope that makes sense lmaooo). its literally 2 tough guys that have a soft side.

america x germany (in that order): could be a thing... fuck buddies? can't see them as lovers... can't see america as anybody lover.

Watching the delicious trashiness of Maid’s Revenge has inspired me to make a listing of my favorite (and not so favorite) warlord and warlord adjacent cdramas. If like me, you like your male leads with polished boots and a side of murder, come right in. From most to least fave.

Siege in Fog

My most favorite on this list, this is visually gorgeous and emotionally visceral. Plus, it’s not just ONE warlord, it’s a whole family of them! It follows a deeply dysfunctional marriage between a beautiful woman and a warlord’s second son, where they fight and angst and love and fight some more, all the while bullets are flying and bodies are piling up. If you like incredible visuals, insane chemistry, dysfunction by the bucket and not one, not two, but THREE hot warlords, come right in. It’s based on a Fei Wo Si Cun novel so I assume you know you need a lot of tissues.

To sum up:

Too Late to Say I Love You

Another FWSC adaptation! This is an older drama, done long before cdrama’s recent unwelcome slide into wholesomeness, which means epic makeouts but also a warlord that revels in murder (at one point he takes out all his potential rivals, including his loved sister’s entire fam.) The OTP is dysfunctional - they hate, then they love, then they break up but he can’t let go - and the chemistry is beyond insane, with Wallace Chung and Li Xiao Ran melting my computer. Also, for once, a happy ending!

Winter Begonia

Probably the only genuine masterpiece on the list (tho I love FWSC dysfunction best for purely personal reasons), this is a MM story (though being cdrama it’s not explicit, though quite clear) and Huang Xiaoming as a trader with a private army and Yin Zheng as an opera singer with whom he forms a bond are both!!! I highly recommend it.

City of Streamer

Should be called “City of Steamer” because those make-outs and chemistry are epic! Timmy Xu is a son of a shady businessmen (with a small army of gun happy goons) who falls hopelessly in love with an older governess (Jing Tian) who is out for revenge on his family. She starts out using him and ends up using him in a different sense, if you know what I mean! The plot derails a bit by the end but it’s still a great watch.

Maid’s Revenge

I am watching it right now. At only 10 minutes per ep, it skips plot and gives us the melo and chemistry we (and I mean I) crave and a guy whose muscles should be in a museum.

The Lady and the Liar

Hawick Lau is the ML and we all know this means “hot bastard.” He’s a crime lord with a goon squad falling for a lost heiress who loses her memory so he lies she’s his fiancee and deliciousness ensues. MMMMM

Arsenal Military Academy

Xu Kai is warlord jr but this is here mainly because of his awesome brother the businessman with murder squad. The drama is so-so (patriotism overtakes the amazing chemistry between Bai Lu and Xu Kai) but might be worth a peek.

Cruel Romance

(Can you say no to this face?)

Joey Chen has never worked in anything for me and this is no exception, but Huang Xiao Ming is dashing as hell as a sexy gangster.

Love In The Flames of War

The heroine is terrible (I kept rooting for her to get accidentally shrapnelled) but Shawn Dou is sexy as hell as a warlord. (In the novel he was apparently a rapey headcase; they made him lovely in the drama without making his wife saner which is...a choice.) I’d say worth it on FF for hotness and whippings.

The Mystic Nine

I tried. I tried to watch this drama three times. I could not. But William Chan as a warlord in a three-piece suit and cape is mega mega fine!

Fall In Love

The worst drama on this list, insulting to intelligence of anyone above pre-school level, 90% of the cast, including the leading lady, incapable of acting, a plot that makes a picture book seem complex and fashion disasters galore. However, Chen Xing Xu, playing the smirky warlord, carries this mess harder than Atlas and deserves to be in another, better drama altogether. Oh, what wouldn’t I give for him as a proper FWSC warlord!

Honorable Mention: Forward Forever - haven’t watched that one but keep meaning to.

ok ok ok so. i'm in a very complicated situation rn. lemme start from the beginning: -so i'm best friends with this girl for years -our friend group talks abt sexualities, me + other girl come to conclusion that we're bisexual, the best friend thinks she *might* be too -realize i'm in love with her -confess to her later -she doesn't like me that way

-i don't think she's straight????? -time passes -we're both in a religion btw -she asks me one day abt our religion's views on homosexuality -i tell her one of the views, that it's alright -she says ok -she's still questioning btw -i think she might be bi/pan leaning towards guys

-i move to a different country -i leave the religion, not out yet to anyone tho -but we still text -she sends me a post one day abt homosexuality -it's that other view, that homosexuality is wrong -she believes in that view and is trying to persuade me to undo my bisexuality in some way or ignore it -getting strong indoctrination and internalized homophobia vibes here -she thinks i'm still in the religion and is trying to convince me on her views on homosexuality -i try to argue back carefully since i can't let her know i've left -anyway we fight -and apologize a few days later -and she suggests we don't talk abt religious stuff because we always fight abt it

Character meme: Thancred

Give me a character and I’ll break them down:

This got long cuz I tend to ramble about this dude.

How I feel about this character:

This utter absolute godsdamned bastard of a man. How dare he.

When I really got into FFXIV finally (after only dabbling for a bit), the age gap of his listed 32 and my RL age at the time put the same distance as me and my own younger brother, and that is where Thancred fits. I was FINE with him as a total bro, as the local disaster, similar to a younger sibling I am both fond of and exasperated by. He has a lot of backstory, character development, and changes, even before Shadowbringers really brings his various issues and working through them to the foreground. I love snarky, sarcastic characters, using that to cover their pain and issues. Highly competent but still so full of doubts. Acting out middle child of the core Scions family (now the elder brother figure with Papalymo gone and his own sense of responsibility kicking in in healthier ways).

There's a lot there, and he hits a lot of character tropes I like as a writer and reader both. So for 2 full playthroughs, he was a colleague, a companion, a pal, a bro.

Now. Now when I make a fic writing WoL based off the lady midlander CGI model, now when I decide to make an ace WoL who won't get shipped with anyone cuz we so rarely see that, now when I decide to roll Aeryn through the MSQ and got to meeting the Scions and Ifrit's quest...

Sigh. Here we are, 3+ years and counting, and "Shippy Nonsense" has completely taken over my FFXIV posting and it's all that Damn Rogue's fault. I blame his bonus to sneak attack vs a WoL's smallclothes. I know he took that feat.

He’s still my bro that I am going to tease affectionately while my character swoons, but I am going to be amusedly grumbly about it forever.

(Also I still think his ARR model is Generic Anime Protag #3547 and isn’t all that visually interesting. I like bits and pieces of the HW mountain hobo look. I think his ShB model is better at showing his experience and personality, but still wish there were some adjustments.)

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Fellow Wolcred ships. I love you all. Also it just makes “sense” to me to ship WoL with a Scion over most other NPCs, and Thancred is definitely the default nice handsome male romance option like what one gets at the beginning of a Bioware game (looking at you, Carth, Kaiden, Alistair...). I just. y’know. Thought OC/NPC shipping was for other people, not me.

I have a soft spot for occasional Y'shtola/Thancred and Urianger/Thancred. I feel like he’s a person who’d only open to true romantic relationships with people he’s known and trusted for awhile, because of his own doubts and issues.

He’s totally a Bi disaster though; a lean toward women, perhaps, but certain dudes’ll turn his head.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Thancred & Minfilia for the found family brother-sister trope.

Thancred & Ryne for the same, with father-daughter flavor instead.

Thancred & Urianger for the best bros back and forth.

Thancred & Y'shtola for the best bros in a different way. I also include here occasional side-along headcanons for a FWB situation for them, safe comfort and release--especially after the Lifestream--but without romance; their love is platonic.

(I can’t quite see Urianger doing a casual FWB in the same way tho, he doesn’t strike me as the type; it’s all or nothing there.)

My unpopular opinion about this character

How I see the "temporary eye injury." How he likely wasn't as much of a slut as assumed--while he got plenty, he also used the flirting as a cover a lot (esp given how he drops the flirty demeanor entirely post-Antitower). How he likely wasn't as much of a drunkard in ARR patches as assumed, either; getting blackout drunk makes little sense when the issue was loss of control thanks to possession.

I also think many of the people who think it would have been “fitting” (or just wished for) him to die at the Trolley RP Duty in ShB missed some of the point of Shadowbringers’ overarching themes. ShB could certainly be dark at times, but overall was a story of hope and the differences between remembering the past versus being held captive by it, and the bonds between people. If it were a more tragic story with more pessimistic themes, then yes; Thancred dying then to protect Ryne with their issues unresolved would have been (heartbreaking but) fitting. However, that’s not the story being told; it’s him using that battle as catharsis to beat at his own issues and realize he really had repeated his original mistakes. To make his peace with Minfilia’s loss and then, in the end, work things through with Ryne and be the man he should have been for her.

Ryne gets the fairy tale ending of having her parental figure that she feared resented her tell her he was sorry and fix himself for her.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

We should have seen more of his and Minfilia’s found family relationship in game. There wasn’t a lot of room for it in 2.0, it could have been in the 2.x patches a bit more, but a lot about their relationship is described after she’s already gone.

Ran’jit was Thancred’s kill. There is no way that was originally written with the General porting out last second just for the WoL to suddenly be able to defeat his plot armor. The Trolley RP Duty has the foil character set up, the “last special bullet,” and the player is controlling Thancred at the time. It makes no narrative sense and stinks of executive meddling out of some fear the players would feel cheated by not having it be WoL who defeats Ran’jit, but it’s a serious misstep in the story. We could have, should have, fought suped-up Jongleurs as the speed bump boss to Vauthry, as those characters also were woefully underused.

I’m also hoping for more personal Scion history as we get to Old Sharlayan; while most of the older Scions are from or were educated in the Dravanian Colony, being around the culture and people again shall surely give us more information as to their academic backgrounds.

And we all always need more nutkin interactions and shenanigans.

you were not late, anon. I, on other hand, am. thank you so much for enabling me tho oh my goddddd seeing this burst my heart open like a pomegranate. I know literally no one cares for this but i'm rustling up my comfort where I can get it.

1. What are things they both find funny?

other people, ignorance, and less sardonically, each other.

2. If they could each describe each other in one sentence, what would it be?

jean: "the most dangerous woman alive." clara: "the most insufferable man alive."

3. If they complimented each other, what would they say?

really depends. clara isn't the most beautiful woman he's been with or even known, but she gets under his skin in a way no one can, so the smallest, most mundane things grow incredibly attractive to him quickly when it comes to her. he's especially fond of her freckles and smiles though. in general, he showers her with compliments near-daily and without ulterior motive. he just likes how she glows under his praise and he wants her to know precisely how much he desires her. for her, it's a bit different. jean is incredibly attractive but to a point he's often objectified by others for it. so she compliments things closer to her heart. like his crooked, genuine smiles because they're so rare yet warm his entire face (one dimple, crinkles around his eyes) from his usual iciness.

4. What would be their ship name?

jean + clara = jeara. their ship tag is also 'almost love' (which they've changed a fair bit from what I had in mind for them originally, but I like the tag too much to alter it now, and it still applies in many ways). 5. What activities do they enjoy together?

I answered this when the otp ask thing was first dropped but pretty much anything. from visiting museums together, reading together, dinners, working, taking baths, or going for long drives with windows rolled down and music blasting and an insane amount of sex 6. What is/are their love language(s)?

they honestly hit all 5 between them, but physical touch/quality time/acts of service/words of affirmation are likely the big ones with their lifestyle. 7. Write a ~300-word love scene for them.

Sometimes he wonders if he should have made better decisions in his life.

The answer is, undeniably, yes. Jean finds, however, that allowing Clara close is equivalent to laying in a bed of coals still hot with emotion. Right now she's languid, stretched out comfortably while still tucked close to his side, her nose nestled against the hollow of his throat. Having her this near is its own type of torture. Often Jean merely does this to test himself, to see how long he can resist her pull.

"I like that one," she decrees, a touch sleepy, and he resists the urge to tug on her messy french braid. "Read it to me again?"

"Taking comfort in the familiar?"

His words are cutting thanks to years spent being nothing but piercing icy edges, softened only by the innate fondness he has for her. With Clara, his words rumble out more teasing, his breath fanning over her temple when she presses even closer. Leaching his warmth. Such a greedy, needy thing, his viper.

Her cheek ticks upwards in a smile he doesn't see but feels even underneath his jumper.

"If the familiar is you," she drawls fondly. "Then maybe."

8. What were their first impressions of each other?

9. Have they made each other cry?

not yet, but they will : ) 10. Write a ~300-word argument scene for them.

"You insufferable, reckless idiot-"

"Yes, mon amour."

"Don't you mon amour me," she seethes. "What were you thinking?! You could have gotten yourself killed. You know, one day someone will just get sick of your snarky, asshole speeches and just blow your brains out-"

"Nonsense," Jean dismisses, unperturbed despite the blood caking his once-crisp shirt. "You were there. Besides..."

He pinches her chin between his fingers, tugging her closer for a quick kiss. Scant, nothing like their usual kisses consisting of teeth, nails, and buried in muffled moans. "I had you there," he continues as if that explains shit. "I pity any fool who dares to harm anyone you like."

"Like you?" she scoffs, forcing back her curdling terror and stilling her trembling fingers. "A bit presumptuous of you."

A blink, and his nonchalant mask shifts, leaving Jean straight-faced and cold. Focused and honed in on her alone. His larger fingers swallow up hers, tugging her closer, leaning their faces close.

"I'm not going anywhere," he whispers, every word severe despite the softness, answering a question, a worry, she hadn't voiced. "You're stuck with me for a very long time, vipère. It's just a scratch."

Her eyes slip shut at his comforting, dark murmur in her ear. "I'm kicking your ass when that heals."

A rumbling chuckle washes over her, so rare even now. "I do believe I hear a challenge. I can't possibly refuse my favourite opponent, now can I? We'll see who'll come out on top this time, hm?"

He takes her trembling, bloodied hand and encloses it securely in his.

11. What causes them to fight?

they bicker constantly, but big blowout fights are much rarer since they're pretty decent about communicating even on the off chance they do argue. the crux of their problems is often the fact that he's vvv ruthless. while clara can be just as ruthless, it's much rarer unless she, or someone she loves, is threatened. for her, it's a defense mechanism. for him, it's the natural state of being. so, arguments sometimes stem from that, but she respects him a lot and doesn't like undermining him, so it's more often behind closed doors. another big one is his emotional unavailability initially. she's trying to claw down those walls, and he makes it anything but easy for her. 12. Do they have differing political opinions?

nope, not really. 13. Name something they would never do for the other person.

for her, it's a matter of never sacrificing her family. she would happily sacrifice herself for him but never them. for jean, uh, the best way I could describe it is being unwilling to give himself to her fully (initially). 14. What would be a dealbreaker?

him knowingly and willingly harming anyone at the pit (and not just ooh they're in danger, but they actually die-die type of deal) would probs come vvv close. for him.......... if she's inside him, then she's in there. 15. What are traits they dislike in one another?

kinda looping back to 11 but while jean (at least inwardly) acknowledges that traits he would criticize and shun in others - and especially himself - he admires in her, clara's willingness to trust people and stay open with them often puts her life in danger. and a danger to her life is an affront to him since he considers them extensions of one another, so his feelings on her reliance/trust in others can often be mixed. because while he admires the strength it takes to stick by your conviction even through betrays etc, if it harms her, it's anything but acceptable to him. as for her, well, jean is a Class A manipulator and plays people like his favourite game. while she strongly admires this trait as well, if it's directed at people she cares for, she can get pissed very quickly. 16. If they broke up, what would be their opinions of each other?

depends on circumstances and who does the breaking tbh. they can range from heartbroken/regretting-it-but-won't-show it to outright enemies. regardless, even if they do break up, they're too strongly bound and far too intertwined to ever be rid of one another. they're the classic no matter what we do, we always end up back together for better or for worse. their feelings for one another are too strong to simply move on, though both might attempt it.

17. What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?

for jean: sunlight, jasmine, earth, the rustling of trees melding with bird song, sweet tangerines, poison, elderflower tea, nigh sky (her freckles), satin, serrated blades, the phantom heat of her laughter against his neck, dimples and creased freckles, her cheek on his shoulder, soft tendrils of her hair slipping and looping through his fingers.

for clara: glaciers, deep night, darkness, cold winter, tallness, tobacco, car leather, the rustling of a tailored suit, black coffee, chocolate, charcoal, classic rock, the scratch of pen/pencil in his notebook as he sketches, a heated murmur of her real name, arm secure around her waist, neck kisses, tucked safely in his lap while he reads to her (usually in french). 18. this is a hard one because if they did get married I imagine a vvv private ceremony, likely just them and witnesses. if there are any vows they're spoken between them only. likely promising a lifetime of devotion and assurance that whatever broken pieces of them are still intact belong to each other. 20. What is a promise they have made to each other?

perhaps not verbally but patience & to believe in one another no matter what happens. 21. How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?

they've mutually done both lmao. she reminds him what it means to be alive, how to remember and take joy in the smallest things and see the world that he's grown rather jaded about through different eyes. in general, she opened him up to new experiences and feelings he has sworn off years ago despite his reluctance. for her, he straight up just teaches her how to live (this might sound odd but it will make more sense when you find out more about what kind of life clara led up to the point these two meet, but let's just say its not really life at all, and she's incredibly deprived of most basic human experiences). they've also, undoubtedly, made each other worse. much, much worse. they're both dangerous individuals in their own right, but what they can unleash for each other is, uh, kinda terrifying. they def make each other more dangerous, especially jean (good old 'when someone who doesn't love anyone or anything, finally finds someone to care about...' though he shows this in very roundabout/merciless ways) 22. If their lives were what was originally intended at birth, would they have still fallen in love?

honestly? yes, I think so. even if they led very mundane lives (so no involvement in the shadow world & crime) they still have complementary personalities. it's true they would both be significantly less damaged/guarded (a big bonding element for them is being able to see/love each other's darkness) but they would still have their very sharp minds and ambition to bind them. if anything I think they would do really well in simply understanding and encouraging each other's hunger. 23. Write a ~300 scene between them with no dialogue, only body language.

It's creation.

The raw, stunning kind that bewitches Clara completely. There's nothing more addictive than watching herself being birthed into existence through his eyes. By his hands. Jean is meticulous - always has been. Details others overlook or don't care to see are the grey areas he exists in. It's what makes him so good at what he does, she thinks. Humans are details. Smallest, most mundane details.

How he sees the puzzle of her makes her tender with loving him.

Seated opposite to him, nursing her morning coffee, Clara watches Jean work silently. A black ball pen and a blank page, ink flowing like a river where he touches. It's all he needs. She's mesmerized by the act - its raw beauty, and its simplicity. His depiction of her face doesn't entirely feel like her own. Is this what he sees when he looks her way?

Strong, arresting stare, full mouth, heart-shaped face, freckles splattered across her nose, and chestnut hair that flows around her features like a dark ocean. A simple drawing; more of a loose sketch, really, no specific technique, but he has immortalized her with this single act. Created her like a faithful paying homage to his beloved deity, and Clara can't help but warm when his icy stare flicks her way. Tracing her lips, chin and brows, her mussed hair.

She loves it when he looks at her. Loves it, even more, when he can't quite look away. As if she contains the entire spectrum of colour and life for him. He makes her feel alive with nothing but his eyes.

Tucking her chin in her hand, Clara leans on her elbow, giving him a soft smile. His own mouth twitches in return, his bed hair tempting her closer. She wants to place another love bite right next to the one she spies on his tanned neck, strong tendons twitching under her keen observation.

Still smiling, she reaches for the notebook, unable to force her smile down when she takes in her features from a closer angle. Her face is now commonplace amongst sketches of architecture, birds, and animals.

It's love. The way he draws her. Even if he doesn't say it often verbally, Jean Laurent has a thousand other ways to tell her just how much he adores her.

forcefully yanking his tie off always gets her eyes on him. loosening her hair so it rests around her face/shoulders/back, draws him nearer like a bee to honey. he craves to touch it, scent it and bury his nose in it, arms tight around her. also hearing him laughing genuinely. she thinks he doesn't know it drives her crazy and makes her want to kiss him every time she hears it but he totally knows. mutual, heated eye contact at an event, egging each other on too, and just in case anyone is wondering, yes, semi-public is def a thing with these two. 26. What are their favorite parts about physical affection/sex?

ooh, for her it's everything. all of it. from most chaste to the filthiest. jean is not the first man she's been with, she has experience, but what he does to her no one else can. he often doesn't need to do anything sexual, just look at her, drinking her in, appreciating her. every time he touches her it's as if he's dipping his hands in liquid gold - and that's what she feels like when with him: golden. every edge of her desired, wanted, needed, and above all else, cherished. for him, well, she lowkey destroys him. or, rather, his guards. his impenetrable armour is ashes when she's near. he never quite knows what he will get: a woman who kisses and touches him with such adoration, loving him so fiercely as if he's center of her universe or a woman whose all teeth, snarl, and bite, leaving him bloodied with her passion. either way, it's so perfect he gravitates towards her as if she's the sun with her own orbit. 27. His wet, rough breath sears the shell of her ear. Panting, Clara presses closer, tucked away from sight in the shadowed alcove. Barely. In truth, anyone walking by could see them if they focused on the shadows for longer than a split second.

People have been cutting across the hallway back and forth all night.

"If Ramona finds us-"

"I don't care," Jean snaps back, his steady baritone frayed, heavier. His accent drips from his tongue far less controlled, splintering further, and she tightens around him, earning her a deep groan. "Let her see."

"But the guests-"

"Fuck the guests," he shoots back, even darker, driving deeper into her. Her satin dress is pulled upwards, pooling around her waist, the wall cold and hard, her body lurching into it with every merciless snap of Jean's hips from behind. "And everyone else."

His hot tongue swirls around the shell of her ear and she moans, arching her back. Jean slips a hand across her mouth, smothering the sound in its wake. A second later the dull thud of footsteps penetrates her ears, a thrill shooting down her spine and electrifying her skin. Rolling her hips deliberately, Clara smiles into his hand when a pained hiss slips past Jean's teeth. Good.

Footsteps near, and his hips jolt forward, pulsing inside her, deeper, deeper-

"Naughty, naughty," a low voice drawls, and Clara jerks in her spot, the cooling bath water sloshing around her as she blinks herself back into reality. "What were you daydreaming about, chérie?"

Jean leans in the bathroom doorway, tracing her bare, wet collarbone with heated intent.

Steadying her thudding heart, Clara tucks her chin back into the lapping water, the scent of flowers and bath oils permeating the air. "Remembering that time Ramona and Augustin held a function, and you decided it would be a good idea to fuck me out in the open."

Blue sparks with mischief, an additional layer of simmering heat blooming in him with her recollection. "Oh? I do believe that was one of my favourites. Care for a repeat, amour?"

A laugh slips free from her, her toes stretching to dull a mild throb now between her legs. "You're unbelievable."

Rolling his eyes, Jean enters the space, cutting through the steam. "I know," he whispers stagely with a sly, wide-eyed expression, pulling off his shirt smoothly, leaving the bare expense of his wide shoulders and muscled body for her to appreciate. "It's why you adorer me, non?"

She splashes water in his face in reply.

29. What are each of their signature foreplay moves?

for him: undressing her oh so slowly, or ripping her clothes clean off when she really works him up, gradual neck kisses, stroking every inch of her skin despite knowing every crevice and freckle already. for her: biting his lip, pulling on his hair, heavy/sly eye contact. also oral. 69 is one of their fave things. 30. Write a short exchange of dirty talk between them.

"Mhm, missed you."

Hot, wet kisses trail up his throat, followed by a hard bite and a suck. Jean forces back a groan. Heat surges through his veins, leaving him cursing how well-versed she's become at working him up. Clara grinds on him; deliberate, wanton. Her back arched, and entirely untamed in her need. She peppers tiny, greedy kisses up his jaw, unfazed by his stubble. She's no doubt savouring the burn, the friction. She gets ever so sweet when he's between her legs instead.

"I can tell," he murmurs hotly, guiding her hips, working her on the rapidly growing hardness between his legs, still amused by how shamelessly she has seated herself in his lap. He feels her desire burning beneath his chilled fingertips and yanks her to him, hands in her hair. "Look at you. So good for me. Are you wet yet, vipère?"

She hmms again, working her way up to his mouth, kissing him hard, her hands bracing his face.

"My, my, si gourmande," he whispers with a faint chuckle when they finally part for breath. "Next time, I'll be sure to take you in front of others if you can't wait. Would you like that, vipère, hm? If I put you on my lap while playing poker, and let you hmm... work yourself to that sweet, sweet rapture? Right there for everyone to see. You do enjoy being seen, non? Adored. Oui, you're so impatient. Maybe I'd put you on your knees instead. So you feel the carpet burn for a week straight. You do like it when I fuck you from behind."

"So do you," she gasps, licking across his bottom lip with a small nibble. "I'll let you fuck me in front of others. But we both know others will hear you moaning my name first."

oh, she's a big every-inch-of-me-needs-to-touch-you kind of person. even if it's only for a few minutes, she likes coming off her high, nuzzling herself close, kissing his skin, luxuriating in the aftermath (likewise he's more outwardly possessive of her when right after a high). despite the mess (and it is a damn mess, neither is satisfied until she's a physical wreck and marked in every which way and not just hickeys) these few instances of closeness are a must for her. 32. Pokemon SwSh GPL AU: Get to know ______

Guys, it’s time for my favourite pokemon ship. Prepare for loads of fluff.

Get to Know Gloria x Hop (Postwickshipping/Hpyu):

1: Who spends almost all their money on the other? I headcannon that Gloria really likes pokemon plushies, so Hop is always unconsciously checking the stuffed animal section of stores to see if there’s any she doesn’t have. Gloria tries really hard to get him books that pertain to his research, but she really has no clue what he studies aside from the fact that it’s legendary pokemon (Legendary Pokemon are his focus).

2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap? Gloria! They are the cuddliest couple ever. There’s about a foot size difference between them, so she fits perfectly in his lap. (Hop is def the little spoon, tho).

3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes? TBH, they would both walk around the house half naked. They’re comfort first babies, so you know Gloria’s bra is coming off and Hop is discarding his work clothes the second their door is closed. I think it’s kind of a casual thing for them, though. They’ve known each other long enough that this kind of thing doesn’t bother them.

4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway? Gloria has to drag Hop’s ass to bed pretty much every night. They’re both busy people, but we all know that Hop would lose track of time while working on his thesis. It is a fact that if Gloria doesn’t come to get him, he will fall asleep on his desk.

5: Which one tries to make food for the other but burns it all by accident and which one tells them that it’s okay and makes them both cookies? They’re actually both pretty good cooks (Gloria’s mama owns a restaurant in Wedgehurst and Hop’s mom is obsessed with cooking), but I think Hop would probably be the one to burn all the food. The only reason why is because he has a harder time focusing solely on cooking instead of trying to multitask. Now, baking is a whole other story. They’re both terrible at it.

6: Which one reads OTP prompts and says “Oh that’s us!” and which one goes “Eh, not really”? Gloria would be the one to read the prompts and Hop would be the denier (he secretly thinks it’s really cute whenever she does it).

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes? Gloria. 100% Gloria. She is constantly cold and has a passion for stealing Hop’s hoodies. He thinks its adorable because they’re always really big on her.

8: Which one spends all day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?” Hop would be the errand runner and Gloria would make sure he remembered everything. It goes back to Hop’s mind being a million places at once and Gloria hyper focusing on one thing at a time.

9: Which one drives the car and which one gives them directions? Hop would drive and Gloria would give directions for similar reasons to the question above.

10: Which one does the posing while the other one draws? Hop doodles Gloria sometimes to keep his hands busy. It’s kind of an absent minded thing for him to do while reading an article/book. Once Sonia caught him doing it, and when I say she teases him relentlessly, I mean it. Hop absolutely does not let Gloria see these doodles (they’re very cutesy and he’d die of embarrassment).

11: If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips? Hop would be the backflipper and Gloria would be the follower. Think back to their GPL season: Hop was blazing ahead at all times without a care in the world. Gloria is the slowest traveler in the world because she likes talking to everyone and visiting all the stores.

12: Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking? Neither of them can hold their alcohol, but Hop at least has more body mass than Gloria. They’re a pair of lightweights and nothing you can say will convince me otherwise. (Let’s be real: Bede has to be the one to make sure they get home).

14: Which one keeps accidentally using the other��s last name instead of their own? Gloria. I actually believe that Gloria would keep her last name even after she and Hop get married because it belongs to her mama (after the divorce, they both changed their last names to match her mama’s maiden name). Hop is also a proud Hoffman, so he wouldn’t use the name Park. However, everyone else will mix it up. Gloria gets called “Mrs. Hoffman” all the time if she’s arriving for restaurant reservations or something of the like. Newer reporters/young children call Hop “Mr. Park” because they just assume Park was his last name.

15: Which one screams about the spider and which one brings the spider outside? Neither of them are scared of bug pokemon.

16: Which one gives the other their jacket? HOP. I mentioned it earlier, but Gloria is always cold. Bede asks why he doesn’t just make Gloria bring her own jacket and Hop replies that he likes it when she wears his jacket (they’re freaking sappy).

17: Who keeps getting threatened by the other’s overprotective older sibling? Pft. Leon? Please. By this point, he’s become the big brother of Gloria as well. The League members are a completely different story. They all like Hop, but since Gloria is one of their younger members and the biggest sweetheart, they’re a protective bunch (Especially Melony and Gordie).

18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other? Gloria, but it didn’t go well. It was right before he was leaving to finish up high school studying abroad, and the timing wasn’t right (aka Hop turned her down because he hadn’t yet realised his feelings for her). Gloria tries her best to move on but never truly gets over him. Luckily, his feelings hit him like a bag of bricks to the stomach when they reunite a couple years later.

19: How good would your OTP be at parenting? The best. They would definitely be the cool parents (I mean, come on. They’re the freaking heroes of Galar!). I think they’d also be super supportive of their child’s choices. 10/10. They’re made to be parents. (Hop would especially want to be a good dad. He’s initially nervous because he never knew his dad and thinks he might mess up, but Gloria reassures him that he’s doing a good job).

20: Which one types with perfect grammar and which one types using numbers as letters? Hop would be Mr. Perfect Grammar. Gloria would use mostly good grammar, but her texts would be littered with emojis.

21: Who gets attacked by a bully and who protects them? Hop is the more confrontational of the two. Gloria tends to believe that people are only mean to others if something bad is happening in their life, but Hop will jump from 0 to 100 if someone even looks at Gloria funny.

22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun? Gloria likes Hop’s bad puns, so everyone else has to cringe in discomfort at the oblivious pair.

23: Who comes home from work to see that the other one bought a puppy? Hop. Gloria likes catching pokemon and sending them on poke jobs, so there’s a new member to their family at least once a week.

24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired? Hop. He’s the only one she would show vulnerability to, and he makes sure not to make her feel ashamed of it. (also, Gloria absolutely could not carry Hop. He’s like, a foot taller than her).

25: Which one competes in some sort of activity and which one does the overzealous cheering? Both! They’re very supportive of each other to help ease the other’s insecurities. Hop gets really invested in her pokemon matches and Gloria throws him a little celebration every time he finishes a project.

26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder? Gloria. Since Hop never goes to sleep at night, it is very common for him to take 5 minute power naps without even realising it. Gloria definitely takes pictures when it happens as a reflex (They were long distance for the first 4 years of their relationship) because she wants to be able to look back at their memories together. Like Gloria doesn’t know about Hop’s doodles of her, Hop doesn’t know about her phone album of him.

27: Which one would give the other a makeover if they asked? Gloria? I think they both grow into their separate styles as the get older, but Gloria would push Hop to wear more colourful things. Sonia once told Hop that a man should never tell a woman what to wear because it’s rude. I don’t think Gloria would mind if he suggested something, but he is way too nervous to do it (Sonia scarred him).

28: Which one owns a pet that the other is absolutely terrified of? Hop is very nervous around Urshifu and Calyrex. Urshifu because he’s terrifying, large, and very protective of Gloria. Calyrex because the pokemon will take over his body without warning to tell Gloria something.

29: Which one holds the umbrella over both of them when it rains? Hop! If Gloria held it, Hop’s head would be in the umbrella.

30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures? Oh my gosh, they’d go everywhere. I think that after Gloria steps down as champion, they travel to all the different regions for at least a couple of years. Gloria would be the one to take pictures and make a little scrapbook when they return home.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

995596 - just a few more ficlets or 1 longer fic, and I've got a Million! Hey, maybe I should try to write one with... 4404? (I'd need to ask a calculator xD) words exactly... not rly a hardship with how many drabble exercises (exact wordcounts, 100 is the most used, I also do 200, 500, longest was 10000 exactly lol) I've already done... we'll see!

Over 400k for this year alone, and over half of that is my actual writing (not translations etc), I'm so proud! Last year I only barely hit 200k and that included a lot of translating work

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Again, one could look this up in my works filtered - sorted by kudos? But all three of my incubus!jaskier witcher series are in it, part 2 of the series is highest with 1091 kudos, then a Venom halloween oneshot, and 'Belonging', a fluffy snake-crowley piece from my ineffable spouses series (yes, sth with under 1k words - 666 to be exact - is in the top 5... my poor longfics lol)

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

...I try to? But atm I have 202 unanswered (and I always click 'mark read' on replies so these are all comments on my own fic) even tho I told myself I'd not let it get past 200, and now I'm doing a tag meme instead of replying to anything so ummmm

*thinks* I have an MCD fic? But not only is that very much a case of ~posting a draft version that's barely in complete sentences insgead of taking the time to turn it into a real longfic~, I also just killed off the mlm couple I only semi care about and left the wlw couple with a happy/hopeful (rly don't remember) ending, so... hm idk whether that counts for angsty ending

Apart from that... I dunno, I just prefer my babies to be happy and fluffy? *.* i remember a mirror milippa in the mirrorverse one where in the end Michael is worried about lying to Philippa about her identity... there are some angsty TOG and Gomens ones but I think they end happy-ish (my memory is. Bad. but looking through my 'angst' tag I just saw a lot of h/c and 'angst with a happy ending')

Recently I've just gotten a bunch of 'you Need to continue this' and 'omg why isn't there more' or 'this shouldn't end' type comments, not hate, probably not meant maliciously, but So Annoying (maybe espesh bc I don't want to just hit delete on these, but I also don't want to pretend it's fine, but I also don't have the energy for a fight, and trying to explain why that behaviour is entitled and annoying and that I write what I want to write and nice comments should praise what I actually have written, and hoping that they understand and don't get mad is... hard.)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Not in the sense of pretending someone else wrote it (that i know of), but posted to other sites without my permission - writing 'don't repost to other sites' etc did Not help, they even copied those tags lol, so I just let it be, choosing my battles wisely etcetc, I'd prefer for my fic not to be cross-posted by others bc then I can't edit or otherwise influence the fic anymore and don't see everyone's reactions to it, but as long as it's not someone pretending they wrote it, I only semi care, not enough to fight it tbh

There are many ways to go about it, and I think they all work (depending on the fic and the length and relevance of the dialogue)

I tend to leave single sentences as is, and for longer and important sequences use cursive and 'they said in xylanguage'.

The Hobbit apparently? I remember thinking that fic was so long lol, it's 3k

Kat/Ana from Reef Break, they have Such Shippable Chemistry, and it would totally fit Kat's player personality to bang both siblings (she's canonically friends with benefits with Ana's half-brother)... but the ship has one (1!) fic on Ao3 *cries*

TOG Andromaquynh longfic In Your Stead has had the title since last year and probably for a while to come! thank you for giving me a chance to gush about these kids!!! they’re precious.... this got pretty long so imma put it under a cut

YuniChika, the main boys of 2.43:

• when or if I started shipping it:

tbh i didn’t really ship them when i read the first book... they’re the kind of pairing that i can see people shipping and i think it’s cute, but i’m not super invested in them as a romantic pairing. I think i was more sold about them as a ship in the second book, but i can’t quite remember if there was a specific moment that made me change my mind, or if it was a gradual process

• my thoughts:

i think the anime definitely played up the tension between them (allll the blushes lol), but i’m glad people are enjoying the YuniChika content XD they’re pretty cute!

also, i think they balance each other well and spur each other to become better—Yuni and Chika are both self-centered(?) in very different ways: Yuni lacks drive because he mostly wanted to please people so they’ll like him, while Chika has the opposite problem in that he acts like he doesn’t care what people think of him.

but now Yuni is able to take a stand for his interest in volleyball and for Chika, and while Chika doesn’t really soften and still has a problem with not realizing how harsh he could be, he’s more willing to communicate his thoughts.

• what makes me happy about them:

boys reuniting! relearning how to have a relationship with one another! learning from past mistakes and trying to be better people together! HELL YEAH

• what makes me sad about them:

boys, please use your words to communicate with each other...

also, from Yuni’s perspective, it’s kinda sad when someone you used to know really well comes back into your life, but they’ve changed so much that they are essentially a different person... but of course they have a new opportunity to become closer now 😉 so i’m not that sad about it

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

... there are fanworks for them?????????

(on a more serious note, erasing their flaws to make them more likable... please don’t make Chika ‘secretly nice’ or whatever, the kid is blunt as hell, and not realizing how his words affect others is his biggest flaw. on the other hand, Yuni can still be a little spineless at times, and sometimes his priorities are. questionable.)

• things I look for in art/fic:

hm, i’d like a future fic about them as professional players! i think their inclination is to stick together (they’re a package deal!) but it’d be super interesting to read something where they’re on rival teams years down the line

EDIT: haha Chika actually transferred to Keisei High School after their first Spring Tournament, so he and Yuni have faced each other as rivals since then (2.43 next 4years). they’re go to the same university and are on the same team now though!

• who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

uh i don’t really have specific people for this, but Chika would probably have to be with someone who understands his love of volleyball (like Oda, but if Oda wasn’t their team captain and thus too much of a dad friend to qualify as a romantic interest), and someone who can inspire Yuni would be good for him

also, i know who i’d NOT be comfy about: the first book (and anime i guess) had this weird tension between Itoko and Yuni, COUSINS who BASICALLY GREW UP TOGETHER. i think(?) their weird whatever was mostly dropped in the 2nd book and wasn’t really made explicit, but like. what the hell. (i have no idea what happens beyond the 2nd book.)

• my happily ever after for them:

the YuniChika in college arc is being serialized rn, so in a way that’s already fulfilled? (i have NO idea what’s going on tho)

in general i just hope they can play volleyball together until one or both decide not to, for whatever reason, and that they stay in each other’s lives and support each other even after they’ve retired from competitive volleyball. i think with Yuni’s personality he could be a good coach after getting more experience, and Chika... he’s really valuable as a strategist, but I think he’d always be a little brusque, so he’s respected but hard to bond with if he does take on coaching?

• what is their favorite non-sexual activity?

bold of you to assume Chika even cares about sex

anyway, they don’t go to movies for a romantic date night, they go watch volleyball matches. sometimes this backfires when Chika gets too frustrated at bad plays tho

and of course i will never pass up an opportunity to talk about Oda/Aoki, the main guys of my heart (my OTP for this series tbh):

• when or if I started shipping it:

they pinged on my radar when they were bickering in Ibara’s chapter, but i wasn’t super duper invested... and then I got to The Dog’s Perspective and the Giraffe’s Perspective (specifically The Kick™) and oh god i’ve never fallen so fast

• my thoughts:

GOD WOW Aoki really loves Oda... even though objectively Oda’s height prevents him from being a super ace, he is the coolest, strongest super ace to Aoki. i think it’s beautiful that someone can see you as your best self even when you’re feeling shitty about yourself. Aoki knows that objectively Oda faces a lot of obstacles, and wants to support him as best as he can—not out of pity (pity would’ve burned out long ago), but because he really respects Oda’s passion and drive.

also, these two have unaddressed issues that they should talk about! Oda, i know you feel inferior but you are so much better than you think you are. please accept that Aoki really does respect you, and that you are worthy of it (or like, you don’t have to be ‘’’worthy’’’’ or ‘’’’’’deserving’’’’’’’’’’ of it, because it is Aoki’s choice to support you and play volleyball with you!!! it’s not something you gotta earn, it’s something freely and happily given to you)

(ahhhhhh i die when i think of them)

• what makes me happy about them:

gosh i love their dynamic SO MUCH! Oda is exactly my type of character (passionate, determined, knowing that he can never be the best at what he’s passionate about due to factors he cannot control, trying to be kind and gracious but struggling with feelings of inferiority and jealousy, thinks of himself as a selfish person, a supporting character...) and Aoki’s devotion is really touching.

again: even when you feel like crap about yourself, there’s someone out there who thinks you’re the best thing that happened to them.

there’s also the fact that Oda thinks the world of Aoki as well (to the point of feeling inferior, which is like... c’mon Oda :/ you are better than you think you are!) he trusts Aoki a lot, despite knowing his willingness to engage in, uh, underhanded methods

• what makes me sad about them:

it’s their last year together, and they’d be approaching a new phase of their lives in different places... although Aoki offered to lower his rankings so they’d go to the same university, realistically they’ll go to different colleges, and most likely end up in different prefectures. (like, not only do i think it’s a Terrible Idea to give up your dream school so that you could stay with someone else, there is no way Oda would accept the offer without being crushed by guilt. something like that would actually ruin their relationship, which i think Aoki knows as well.)

there’s also a lot left unsaid between them at this point and i just want them to lay everything out between them and move forward together

• things done in art/fic that annoys me:

the fact that there’s NONE >:[ what does a gal have to do to get some content for them???????

• things I look for in art/fic:

at this point anything is fine.... it’s a desert out there and i’m dying

more specifically i’m Extremely Down for a get together fic; i personally only see them getting together after high school, at least several months (or even longer) studying in different prefectures and no longer able to see each other every day. (i mean... absence makes the heart grow fonder right?)

i’d also love to see Oda using Aoki’s first name, considering Aoki calls him “Shin” and all. Oda managing to surprise/fluster Aoki would be nice too.

EDIT: they’re both in the Kansai region (2.43 next 4years prologue). Oda’s revealed to be studying in Osaka, and assuming Aoki got into KyoDai, they should be around 2 hours away from each other by train? so visiting each other over short breaks would be cute! also, apparently Oda took a gap year before going to Osaka (2.43 next 4years Ch 1.2), so something set during that time would also be awesome :V

• who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

hm... if i had to imagine people well-suited to them, i’d say Aoki’s type is people who are straightforwardly passionate about their interests (Oda hooked him with his unbridled love of volleyball way back in their first year of high school after all), and I think Oda probably needs someone who is willing to indulge him a little (like Chika he can be pretty dang determined about what he wants, though without the single-minded intensity at the expense of everything else)

... this is just a roundabout way of saying i think they’re ideal for each other, especially if they resolve the problem of hiding things from the other

• my happily ever after for them:

they get careers/hobbies they enjoy, and get a place together as boyfriends/husbands. no i will not hear any criticism of this idea

i can see Aoki working in the private sector (this guy is fine with ‘joking’ about blackmail after all!) after getting his law degree. this is super self-indulgent, but given his penchant of rooting for passionate but objectively disadvantaged entities, i think it’d be pretty awesome if he works for a smaller company that truly believes in their work, instead of working at a big firm pulling in big bucks.

while I’m not sure what Oda is canonically studying, I can see him going into sports education or sports therapy—i think he’d be really good at nurturing the talents of other athletes, and he’s good at rallying the team (Aoki pretty much says he’s the heart of the team in the epilogue of the first book, though Aoki’s kiiinda biased lol). i think it’d be really cute if Oda coaches a grade school team!

neither plays volleyball competitively after high school, but sometimes they watch matches for fun (esp if their ex-teammates are playing). Oda also makes Aoki come to his students’ matches if he doesn’t have work

EDIT: apparently Oda continues competing as a wing spiker in college, playing in Kaisai’s 2nd Collegiate Division (2.43 next 4years Ch 1.2)—Aoki probably watches his matches, even when he’s busy (and Oda probably chides him for neglecting his work, but they both know Aoki can manage his workload).
