Edit: I’m seeing folks that don’t know what a big bang is. Happy to explain!

Short version:

A big bang is where a fan writer agrees to write x number of words and they are paired with fan creators (artist/podficers/mixtapes mixers/multimedia/knitters/bookbinders/etc) who will produce a fanwork based off the fic created for the big bang.

A reverse big big is where the fan creator (see examples above) describes is paired with fic writers and the writers create something based off the fanwork.

You can look up the history of big bangs and reverse big bangs on fanlore. Im typing this on my phone between meetings. I am only a person and i can only do so much.

Podfic #2 for the Caught On Tape Carry On Podfest! This is The Sound of Silence by aralias! This one's also for Teen and Up Audiences, with Ch1 around 28 mins and Ch2 around 21 mins! This fic is another one of my old favorites, and it was so much fun editing it all up!

Once again I need to seriously thank the mods for this fest! They've all been SO supportive and kind and made me feel so much closer to a fandom I've cherished so much for the past two years but was always too scared to be more than a lurker in! I was so worried about learning to make podfics and exposing my voice to internet strangers, and yet the reception I got for my first podfic was completely mind-blowing and heart-melting, and I'm so grateful to all the amazing people in this fandom! This would not have been possible without all of them, but the mods super duper especially!!

I've got one last fic on the way that I'm gonna have to really go crunch time on, but for now enjoy listening to The Sound of Silence by aralias!

The JeFFFFFFFFest exchange has gone live and my works are revealed! I plan to dive into the remix round next, but for now, here's what I've been up to for the past month:

The Shadow Lyctors (crossover with The Locked Tomb Series by Tamsyn Muir)

A fandom wiki for a fictional book trilogy that tells the story of a brewing revolution against the Emperor Undying, complete with pictures and embedded links.

Sunshine calls him ‘an Alexandrite’, referring to the branch of Sixth House cavaliers whose attractiveness and skill earned them an education in erotic poetry and a Cohort assignment, for the express purpose of finding a mate to diversify the ailing Sixth House gene pool.

Given Sunshine’s sense of humor, it is possible this was a joke.

An audio puzzle loosely inspired by Jeff's Happy Ending puzzle hunt. A sound collage of live performances, commercial recordings, interview clips, and sound effects, with a cipher code to spell out a secret message. Not as complicated as it seems on first glance, I promise, and there are hints to get you started. Featuring magnificent art by TheCookieOfDoom.

Late at night, you can hear them broadcast to each other on pirate radio frequencies, sending secret messages across the airwaves...

IT'S HERE! Maybe not three years, but several months and countless hours of work have passed to bring to you this first part of many in a work of collaborative audio art, a recreation of one of the most insane and expansive fanfiction series in the Malevolent fandom: Surrogate: The Director's Cut.

Fully scripted, cast-acted and with audio effects, some of the fandom has come together to attempt this monumental task, and we are overjoyed to finally let you hear it.

What is it?
