I was having a rough time mentally last night, so spent over 10 hours making another OC plushie: Fregum! (my mental health is now very improved)

I don't have a pattern for Canu yet (and no immediate plans to make one) so it may be a while till my OC collection is complete. (I've still gotta finish Min-Gi anway.)

Fregum's arms were hard enough - since flannel likes to stick to itself, it's practically impossible to turn small, narrow objects inside-out, so I had to stitch them halfway, turn them outside-in, stuff them with fluff, and then mattress stitch them closed, holding the tiny seams against all the fluff that wanted to escape. Canu has four scrawny arms and I'm not eager to repeat the process just yet. (If anyone else knows a better way, let me know! I've literally been making these by trial-and-error and youtube videos.)

Funny story about Hello kitty saga is that I've seen a glimpse of it on Kook's couch during the 4th august live after Yoongi's concert, and I remember I thought it could maybe be a plushie related to Disney pride collection because of the rainbow pattern that Tae went in july and used some things of it, and I thought that maybe he could have brought a plush from Paris as a present for Kook and I looked it everywhere to see if I could find any plush that could be it, or if someone also saw it and talked about it but I found nothing. And I just remember laughing about how delulu I was to think about it, and specially how it could have been a Tae gift to Kook and moved on about it, even more when we found that it was actually a hello kitty plush and nothing related to Disney as I thought a few months later. So imagine my surprise this month when we actually saw hello kitty plush again in type 1, with everything indicating that it was ACTUALLY a gift from Tae to JK and not only that, that he or they probably bought it after Jungkook flied 9 hours to Hawaii because Tae said that he missed him and wanted to see him! I'm laughing about it since Sunday and thought that it would be fun to share with, but yes all about this hello kitty definitely made me think that sometimes I should trust more in my gut feeling and that I should totally indulge more in our delulu thoughts about taekook 😂

Fun fact: I couldn't find the right color fabric for his skin, so I boiled white fabric in tea to get what I wanted. It worked!

Soren's Story via Dragon Plushie

The first time we see the appearance of the dragon plushie, it's at the end of the season two episode "Fire and Fury".

Soren has just battled with Pyrrha, and we learn that it was one of his life goals to slay a dragon. Here we see him as a child playing pretend to do just that.

The next time we see the plushie is in the end credits of the episode "Dragonguard" in season three when he joins Team Zym at the Storm Spire. Here he's hugging the little dragon, and on the wiki it's specified that he is "hugging dragon plush after fighting it in Fire and Fury".

In Season Four we begin to see Soren's toy dragon appearing in the actual show, as seen in Viren's dark magic dream sequence. But it also returns to the end credits. In the Season Four episode "Drakewood" an adult Soren can be seen wearing his pajamas and hugging it to him.

This is the same episode in which Soren befriends his Drake friend and manages to escape the Pit of Despair.

After this, we don't see the plushie again until Season Six, where it appears in Viren's flashback sequence in the episode "Moment of Truth".

We then see, not Soren's plush, but another child's that is very reminiscent of his, in the episode "Well All Fall Down". It is in the arms of a small child, but is dropped as they are forced to flee the burning castle of Katolis. In the end credits, we see it again; charred and discarded in the ruins of the castle.

And again, beside a fallen sword in the rubble.

It might not be Soren's plush, but in an episode that features him so heavily, and especially his relationship with Viren, it feels like it can't have been an accident. Because this is an episode of loss.

His father. His home. His childhood.
