your gaze followed where her finger pointed at, there you noticed how swollen and discolored your ankle had gotten

both of you searched for where the commotion was, finding a few monsters had gotten to the rooftops entrance

yujin had to act fast, each time she struggled to make a decision could mean your death.

“fuck. yn can you walk?”

yujin was too in her head to hear the last thing you said before she grabbed your arm and booked it to the other entrance, she slammed open the door, not thinking about the other zombies in the school

dragging you down the stairs, she watched as 3 more of those things saw the both of you

she froze.

“GO!”

she heard a door slam open and felt the impact of the floor against her back

“ow- fuck. wait- yn?”

yujin watched as the door stayed open, your figure on the floor

“ynnie. . cmon! those things are getting closer!”

you crawled to the door while yujin got up to shut the door after you entered

pulling you to the corner of the classroom, you both began to catch your breath, grateful that this room was empty . .

a minute passed by before yujin looked at your disheveled form, feeling guilty once again

“hey- hey um.. im so so sorry this happened, god you have cuts on your face! fuck. if only-“

you put a finger to her lips.

“ stop rambling, i should be okay by tomorrow . .”

seeing the girls pout, you gave her a quick peck on the cheek

though it didnt help at all

“what? are you serious?” you whispered, backing away from the girl

you heard the girls voice break with each sentence, nearly making you cry but it would alert the monsters outside

minutes passed by. you only heard the screams of other students, before they were soon turned into just another shell of the person they once were

looking at the heartbroken girl tore you apart, if only this world hadnt changed so drastically, you could be happy with yujin

hearing that made the taller girl shiver. her vision getting more and more blurry with each second of silence between the two,

she brought her knees to her chest, clinging onto them as if it were her dead lover, wanting to feel the warmth of anything in her arms,

yujins voice began to break due to her realization that you really were dead. she didnt save you. she couldn’t save you. how pathetic was that? the only person she cared about dead. dead, all because she didnt think quick enough.

the girl’s eyes snapped to the classroom door, through the glass she saw the face of the one she cherished most, amongst the mahogany colored blood and drool . . yujin recognized that face, how could she not? she grew to love every ‘imperfection’ you thought you had. she always thought you were the most breathtaking woman she ever laid eyes on, no flaw could ever lessen the amount of love yujin had for you

but she had failed you. she promised to keep you safe, with every part of her soul. it didnt seem to be enough . . since you here were, lunging at yujin with no thought in your head.

the remnant of sanity you had was gone, as the husk of the person you once were started clawing at yujins torso

she felt every bone in her body break into brittle pieces, making yujin open her eyes

as she gazed into your bloodshot eyes she wondered how things would’ve went if she pulled you into the room quicker.

each passing second was like hell, struggling to breathe as you had broken through her skin

coughing up the crimson liquid was loud enough to alert the other monsters to yujins location,

wanting to look at her lover’s face for the last time, she noticed a small tear slide down your dirtied face

yujin wiped it away just before a hoard of zombies decided to help finish her off

Why Obi-Wan and Anakin being a Force dyad not only makes sense but doesnt contradict canon

First of all: what exactly is a dyad?

A dyad is two physically separate individuals being the same presence in the Force. The only dyad bond that currently exists in canon is, of course, the one shared by Rey and Ben. They have an 11 year gap, meaning two people are not born a dyad, but develop a dyad bond over the course of their life (keep this in mind). They have a lot of amazing and unique abilities that nobody else has (like extremely powerful Force healing* and object transfer), but a few of their dyad feats are also found in the Obi-Wan/Anakin duo.

*Force healing isn't exclusive to the dyad btw, several Force users had this ability, including Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Here are some examples:

they can communicate telepathically from across the galaxy. Neither of them is very proficient at this as they only found out about it way too late, when they were very much enemies and Obi-Wan made himself undetectable (and from the Rako Hardeen arc we know that when he does this not even Anakin can recognize him);

they share feelings, memories and pain through the Force as if they're experiencing them together, as one, at the same time;

during their duel on Mustafar, Palpatine felt that Anakin was in danger, despite them not being nearly done fighting. This could be due to Palpatine sensing the dyad bond being severed, and any Force bond severed is dangerous as it can create a wound in the Force. Palpatine could have been worried about Anakin becoming a wound (tho i personally think that Obi-Wan is more likely to have become a wound instead);

upon realizing Rey and Ben are a dyad, Palpatine says that the dyad bond was "unseen for generations". It technically has been generations since Obi-Wan and Anakin, plus 'unseen' doesnt meant 'non-existent'. Palpatine might simply not have noticed, as "A Force dyad, binding two separate beings together, was not an easily discernible phenomenon." After all he only realizes Rey and Ben are a dyad when they fight him directly and as a team and he accidentally siphons their life force, which is a situation he has most definately never found himself in with Obi-Wan and Anakin;

remember the dyad bond being created over time? Palpatine tried (unsuccessfully) to form a dyad bond with Anakin, meaning that not only he knew about the prophecy of the dyad, but he sought to realize it in himself and, likely, getting rid of Anakin in order to avoid the prophecy of the Chosen One being realized instead. Anakin/Vader at that point had surrendered himself to Palpatine entirely, so there would be no reason for the bond not to be created. Unless, of course, Anakin already shared that connection with someone else;

them being a dyad would explain why Anakin had to die in order to bring balance to the Force, despite having already killed Palpatine: he needed to reunite with Obi-Wan so the dyad could be one again. Rey doesn't need to die because Ben transfered his life force to her. This is also why Ben doesn't appear as a Force ghost: other than lacking the training, he lives on in Rey;

on that note, Obi-Wan and Anakin being a dyad would also explain how Anakin was able to learn how to become a Force-ghost despite having no training at all (Sith cant become Force ghosts so Palpatine certainly didnt teach him). and even in legends, its Obi-Wan who reaches out to him in the space between death and beyond and teaches him the way.

An argument against the Obi-Wan/Anakin dyad is the "Rey and Ben are unique and nobody can do the things they can do" argument. Which is true, they are absolutely unique and we have never seen any character, in either legends or canon, do the things they can do, but I wouldn't consider it a strong argument. Nearly every Force bond is different and unique (some Jedi could create bonds with other Force users, some could create bonds with anyone, some could create bonds with animals, others could only create bonds with their master/apprentice) and the strength of those bonds varies depending on the people who share them.

We only have a single example of what a dyad looks like, in canon, and that is simply not enough to rule out the possibility of other characters having shared that bond, especially knowing how difficult it is to recognize!

Obi-Wan and Anakin could not transfer objects through the Force or touch each other across light-years, but I would argue they never needed to, as they were so inseparable that they were concieved as a single entity by the entire galaxy:

And to further confirm the depth of their bond, here is Yoda sensing** the effect of Obi-Wan's death on Anakin all the way to Dagobah:

**He sensed Obi-Wan and Anakin clashing against each other as well, describing the fight as follows: "Then the two vibrations met, and their pulses fought across the back of the Force."

Making Obi-Wan and Anakin a dyad would also make the Rey and Ben dyad make more sense: Anakin was created by the Force itself to be the Chosen One as a response to Plagueis trying to create the perfect dark side user and Sith warrior -> Anakin then forming a dyad bond with Obi-Wan, a steadfast light side user through and through -> that bond being severed causing the dark side to take over the light -> Anakin's twin children being equally capable of redeeming him (perhaps another dyad, or something akin to it since they could also do some of the things obikin/reylo can do) -> the dyad being reunited with Anakin's death -> Palpatine is actually not dead so balance needs to be brought back yet again -> Anakin's grandson forms a dyad bond with Palpantine's granddaughter (finalizing what Palpatine had failed to do with Anakin) -> the dyad is fully realized when Ben dies to bring Rey back to life.

This would make Anakin retain the most important role in the story as the Chosen One and the 'patriarch' (word used loosely) of the dyad lineage.

And last, but most certainly not least, Obi-Wan and Anakin lead the Open Circle Fleet during the Clone Wars. The Open Circle emblem, specifically, represented the two of them and the power of their bond: "The heraldic emblem consisted of a yellow circle that was formed by two separate semi-circle arcs. One arc represented Kenobi, the other, Skywalker. The image signified that while they were both two independent halves, together they formed a single entity."

I know lots of people prefer the mountain goats' older stuff for lots of reasons, but personally Jenny from Thebes is my favorite and I really enjoy the maturing of the band's musical style.

last book: what color is your parachute by Richard N. Bolles. It's a book on how to find a job that won't kill you, because I finally have gone to therapy enough I can contemplate work without also contemplating killing myself.

I have slightly derisive things to say about love lies bleeding, I think. Like, I would need to sit down and think about it more, but, gut reaction is it has kinda conservative views on sex and femininity but not more so than like average dude on the street, its just more apparent because the movie is like, about taking T, getting horny, and fighting your dad. plus the two more traditionally feminine characters are a side villain and a victim. like again I don't think the director is a raging misogynist or anything, just that certain aspects weren't considered as a whole and as a result it ends up noticeably reflecting the sort of casual unconsidered bias of the moment.

worlds apart was really good but i didnt get to finish it but i need to so bad. It's literally my highschool fantasy. Basically this kid's parents die and she gets adopted by her aunt. Her aunt is financially successful but lives kinda like a neet (take out containers everywhere, no sleep hygiene etc) and absolutely despised the kid's mom. But at the funeral she sees how the other adults are treating the situation, the pressures and judgements they put on the kid and family etc, and she turns to the kid and is like, "I hated your mother so much I don't think I could ever love you because of how much I hate her, but if you come home with me I will never control you, because you are a whole person not something to be managed or put aside" and the kid goes with her. I spent years fantasizing about adopting someone and giving them the privacy and control that I lacked as a child, and right now really struggle with the romantic ideals around emotion and care, so the aunt character really hits home for me.

last show: jellyfish can't swim in the night, it's a cute show about highschool girls that are all kinda depressed and anxious becoming friends and motivating eachother to pursue their interests.

sweet/spicy/savory: almost always craving savory. used to love spice but i developed a stomach issue and have to be careful about what I eat to avoid having acid reflux all day, so have to have not much allium or capsaicin or fat in one meal.

relationship status: I don't even fucking know dude. like, single, but also there's this girl that's kinda my owner, like im her dog but she doesn't really use the title so idk and when i was talking about qprs she was like that's basically what we do but like at the same time idk it feels like there's still a lot of distance between us and i wish there wasn't. Like idk she reaches out to me to spend time together more than other people in my life which is really nice, and she's given me a lot of emotional support, but like, I wish I had a chance to reciprocate that support even if im not very good at it.

current obsession: i was learning about this programming language called liquidsoap before i left home. I couldn't do anything else just completely fixated on it. It's cool and I wanna finish the project I was using it for but I was also very much using it to avoid thinking about having to visit family.

looking forward to: going back home to my own bed I guess but honestly idk. As much as I'm scared of my family its a much nicer city over here and I don't have to plan all my meals. And I'm so lonely back home.

I realized recently that I have a better social life than i thought, in that I usually manage one social activity every other day, but, a lot of the time they don't satiate that need for safe intimacy and closeness and so much of the time I'm scared and lonely and really need to be hugged and there's just nowhere for me to turn. So I hate being back to see family, but I have a friend with me as a beard even if she spends all our time-away-from-family recuperating her alone time, and in general i know how to be alone in my childhood city. Here its easy to find a crowd to stand in, or a diner to eat at so you can have a morsel of care. so i hate being here because family and i hate being there because lonely and im still lonely here anyway. it's so hard to look forward for me, because all i see is loneliness and new stressors but because of that i keep blinking and 6 months have passed and i havent improved my situation at all.

sorry for being a bummer on that last one.

they met briefly when steven was 15 and wallace was 18. wallace was Going Through It tm and taking it out on some rando. steven stepped in, beat wallaces fully evolved pokemon with his two first stages, completely humiliating him in front of a crowd

this spurred a whole mental breakdown character arc for wallace but steven forgot about it like 2 seconds later lmao

very "you took everything from me" "i have no idea who you are"

unfortunately for steven he was forced to remember bc wallace had already been gym leader for several months by the time he got around to the sootoplis city badge

steven only managed to eke out a win through mega evolution because wallace was maybe going a bit too hard for a gym battle, even an 8th badge one

still, wallace apologized for that and their other meeting and they became friends

loose friends. they only really started to talk when steven became champ.

steven was baffled. he'd never had a human friend his age before but he really enjoyed being around wallace. wallace absolutely did not understand rocks but he never made fun of steven for spending hours infodumping

around the same time steven became champ, several others his age became part of the league and suddenly steven had multiple human friends his age???

he really only ever met with winona when with wallace, but he got along famously with sidney and phoebe despite their differences

quickly he realized how he felt for wallace was different than for sidney or phoebe but brushed it aside as the difference between a friend and a best friend

around then wallace started dating winona. wallace did nothing but talk about her those first few months and steven eventually realized he was angry at those convos bc he was jealous. it took another few months for it to click that he was jealous because he liked wallace romantically

decided then and there he would never ever make a move because wallace was happy with winona and planning a future with her

even once they broke up, steven didnt want to try anything because wallace was incredibly upset over being dumped and didnt want to ruin the friendship. plus, the thought of just being a rebound made him sick

wallaces romantic feelings only developed after the breakup. steven was his steady rock (pun reluctantly intended) and they became closer than ever after it.

he only realized steven liked him from sidney, brawly, and phoebe who made a joke about them dating. wallace was like haha yea that could be interpreted as crush-like but stevens always been like that

and they stared at him until he realized what that meant and went oh shit

wallace had always found steven hot but it was in a water is wet sorta way. like yea. wallace had eyes. but he thought it over and came to the conclusion that he wouldnt mind dating steven. itd been enough time after winona that being in a relationship seemed nice.

mostly, his romantic words tend to be comparing wallace to gems and rocks. if it were anyone but steven wallace would be very >.> about it, but it is steven so he finds it romantic. somehow. he's not quite sure how either, but its steven.

they're each other's favorite battling partner. at times, their battles seem more like dances because they and their pokemon all know each other so well

they're always trying to find new tactics to surprise the other. at this point it's getting difficult but theres nothing better than the surprise on the others face when one whips out a new move or strategy designed specifically to counter the other. it's a sign of love and how theyre always on each others mind.

eventually, when they move in together its to sootopolis. the city is incredibly important to wallace, and while steven likes mossdeep he doesnt mind moving

he still keeps his house there but its mainly just storage for his rock collection

communication is their main struggle as a couple. it wasnt so bad as friends, but wallaces habit of thinking he knows best and stevens habit of ignoring any negative emotion tend to go poorly together.

their wedding is surprisingly low key. the ceremony is rather small and done in the traditional sootopolitan way

the reception is larger but still not too large or exuberant. a compromise between them.

steven wouldve just gone to a courthouse and done it that way but he knew a party meant a lot to wallace. wallace meanwhile knows steven isnt a fan of huge crowds and parties so he did his best to tone it down and make it more personal.

wallace did basically all the planning. it was his dream wedding. steven said yes dear to any request and assumed it would be flawless (it was)

more of a night in kind of couple. steven isnt a partier and wallace tries not to be anymore so most of their dates tend to be very low key.

steven is a serial blanket thief. wallace usually doesnt mind until its winter

both of their teams get along very well. cradily and armaldo in particular get along well with wallaces water types

steven, stemming from years of pining, is more likely to get jealous if he sees someone flirting with wallace but doesn't dwell on it for long.

wallace meanwhile knows steven doesnt like flirting and that sort of attention so theres little jealousy on his side.

it takes a long while for them to have sex.

stevens ace so its just....not something he feels or gets. plus there were other emotions related to being trans and having sex, plus plus he'd just never done it before and was nervous from that. he knew wallace wanted it, but it took a long while for him to even be comfortable being naked in wallaces presence

wallace isnt ace, and has a decent sex drive, so he was a bit frustrated and took a lot of showers lol. he didnt push steven and more than understood his hesitancy, but oh boy did he want it.

they eventually do the do. it's not something they do a lot (steven is rarely in the right kind of mood for it) but they do it often enough to satisfy wallaces cravings.

they rarely argue. wallace tends to instigate more of the smaller squabbles since he's naturally more confrontational, but they tend to be mundane things solved in minutes

most of their serious arguments revolve around the future. the most commonly reoccurring one is about kids. wallace is very close to his family and 100% wants kids, biological or adopted. steven 100% does not. it takes a long time for them to come to any agreement.

wallace very much makes sure to spend a lot of time with his kids though. his dad being gone a lot for work was something he resented as a kid so he tries not to spend all his time working.

steven took emmy going to school the hardest. wallace had practice with lisia, but steven had barely spent more than a few hours away from emmy until school

names were the absolute biggest argument between them. steven wanted a rock name. wallace refused to name a kid malachite.

emmys name (esmeralda) was a compromise from juan. emerald, a gem, but in paldean as an actual name. it satisfied both so they went with it.

steven gave her the nickname of emmy. he based it off of emerald. wallace just sighed and went with it because it was cute.

mica and lapis were all steven. they originally had other names picked for the twins but wallace got stuck doing champion duties while steven was in the hospital. mildly delirious, highly emotional, and incredibly angry, steven went with completely new names just to spite wallace.

wallace cant even be mad. and as far as rock names go, they arent too bad. at least it wasnt malachite.

cradily and armaldo are the most overprotective of steven and wallaces pokemon. when it comes to children, they see their trainer's kids as their own and it hits something ancient in them making them a little more aggressive than usual

milotic is second. they are her little creatures. she will dragon tail anyone who looks at them wrong.

yes yes yes okay!! tbh i rlly hate when people try to discredit their relationship bc like they DID like each other. they cared about each other they went through so much together and sometimes shit just doesnt work out. like i will not lie i was SUCH a huge makorra shipper when i was watching s1 because!! the chemistry!! the love!! it was there!!

i think if you think abt it in the original context makorra makes sm sense - tlok was originally intended to be a miniseries/the show wouldve ended after s1. it made the most narrative sense to yes give them relationship drama but also end the series with them together, but then the show got a s2 and they suddenly had to explore the relationship between and the truth of the matter is that honestly. it makes perfect fucking sense that they didnt work out.

theyre both too hotheaded and too stubborn and unwilling to compromise and while they clearly did love each other they were also very young and didnt know how to properly navigate a relationship enough to set aside their differences - nor did they really have the time to, considering everything that was going on.

i think the biggest thing standing in their way was that they purely just did not have enough time to explore their relationship in the way that two normal teenagers would. if they'd been anyone else i honestly think they might've lasted for longer - but korra was the avatar, and mako was a part of the team, and they both had responsibilites and things that Came First. it was also becoming very apparently clear that situations like what happened in s2 were going to keep popping up, and i don't think either of them had the emotional capacity or mental space to deal with all of that PLUS a very new, VERY convoluted relationship. i think it was just the easier thing for both of them to break up and focus on everything else.

also i love the breakup scene!! not the first one obviously where korra goes ham at the police station, but the actual one, with the final kiss - i think it gives both them and the audience some sort of closure, and it establishes that yes, the love is still there, but it's not enough to keep trying to make the relationship work.

i guess it also begs the question of whether or not they wouldve worked as a couple later when they were older and knew how to balance everything better, but in all honesty i dont think they would have. they grew up into different people with different goals for themselves. they work great as teammates and as friends, but a romantic relationship wouldve thrown their entire dynamic out of whack. imo they would've turned into something akin to lin and tenzin if they dated again later.

plus, yknow, asami. in the later seasons i think it was pretty fucking clear what they were going for tbh, and i think they complement each other better than makorra ever did. i could probably write a dissertation on korrasami but this has gotten long enough as it is lmaoo

I have not watched naruto but i have gay friends who tell me everyday that sakura should be a lesbian! Genuinely like the cast has a permanent fixture of i wanna say....20 to 30ish people? And the ones we see regularly are All coupled up, all but i wanna say 3 have loved each other since they were kids. 2 of them are the 'this kid in childhood was nice to me when i was 4 and i never loved anyone else since' kind of childhood friends and frankly that just seemed to weird to me. I think with ML the fantasy of the “perfect white male love interest and grand dramatic hetero romance” is doing a lot of the heavy lifting and if you’re not someone who buys into that fantasy, the square and, by extension, the narrative falls apart. The main romantic plot of series relies so heavily on drama and fantasies that it lacks in all other aspects (such as maintaining basic chemistry and building up character relationships) and makes every attempt to push the pairing feel extremely forced and very much comphet. Cuz why else would these two be paired together if not for the fact that they’re the female and male lead?

In defense of the original, while I do agree the episodic vibes were a bit much at times, and it was something I kinda had to work my way through slowly rather than binging all in one...

I do kinda prefer the more gradual approach to laying out the information; getting to know both the setting and who Vash is as a person and the different facets of both, before getting the context that lets it all click into place. Plus the main quartet having ample time to grow together so that later developments have stronger emotional weight.

I will agree that Knives definitely suffered in focus, and I am interested in how Stampede handles him, but admittedly he wasn't really what I watched Trigun for in the first place. ^^;

yeah my gripe is less with the way the setting and characters were handled and more with the way the. actual plot was handled. it honest to god felt to me like they realized about halfway through their run that they didnt have enough episodes left to get the backstory in in a cohesive way so they just shoved it all into one episode and pretended that that explanation didn't create more questions than it answered. you spend 20 episodes teasing your audience like "ooooh what is vash?? clearly hes not human!! clearly there's something going on!!! don't you want to know whats going on?? keep watching and you'll totally understand whats going on!!" and then your big reveal is that. He Is Not Human. which is something that any idiot who has watched the last 20 episodes has already figured out. the question the audience ACTUALLY has at that point in the runtime is what, EXACTLY, is vash, and what the context is behind the conflict he and knives are in. the backstory episode explains that Knives Is Here, and it gives context to the setting and everything, but it pissed me off that it STILL didn't answer the actual mysteries i cared about, i.e. vash's real identity and the thing with the gun and his fucking arm and knives's motivations and everything. maybe that gets answered in the last episode that i neglected to watch but personally I prefer a story where i UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON by the time the final confrontation hits. with trigun it got to a point where vash was going out for the final battle with knives and i STILL didn't know who vash was, who knives was, where they came from, or what the hell their motivations were. that just made that final confrontation seem so wholly uninteresting to me that i didn't even feel like watching it. it was like "hey look vash is fighting a cardboard cutout that he is Afraid Of. Why? lmao idk man. probably has something to do with that weird spaceship that shows up in one whole episode before this point. not going to tell you how tho." I think some writers have this tendency to think that mystery = good writing and that not revealing anything to your audience will consistently draw them in for more, but that only works for so long. after 20 episodes of virtually net 0 information it got to feel like I was being strung along and like my questions were never going to be answered, so I gave up on the show in the final hour. Again, i'm not saying it was BAD necessarily and i understand the context in terms of writing and production that led to the show being produced that way but i think it really noticeably suffers due to the fact that it refuses to give the audience ANYTHING but crumbs of information for about 80% of it's runtime. that being said. i did genuinely like a lot of it. it has its moments. im not trying to discourage anyone from watching it or anything lol i just think stampede is a little more successful in keeping the viewer engaged in the story throughout by constantly feeding you bits of information and actually answering your questions as they become plot-relevant.

ITS SOO GOOD. my thoughts are all jumbled rn but just know i like this clip a lot. rly shows sam's development in relation to emily and it shows a bit of insight into ashley's character as well. like YES she has this warped negative opinion of emily, but she's still afraid for her going back out there. i do think the main game portrayed (albeit. was a bit over the top w/ it) ash's anxiety better but you see a glimpse into that part of her mind in this scene and i love that

25: i could absolutely be misremembering (since it's bneen a while since i played this scene) but i LOOOVE how they included "jess" straight up calling out ashley's name to lure her in THAT much more. because they know how to hunt their prey right? and so they mustve known that ashley is the "weakest" out of the 3 and therefore would be more likely to succumb. yeah its a bit dumb hwo no one else was able to hear it and that they sort of just /let/ her go but 🤷 i rly like this "revamped" version of this scene. plus, i didnt include it in the vid, but the buildup to finally opening the trap door is sooo good

overall, i think the beta had a TOOOON of potential. there are some scenes im glad they included / revamped, but there are other times where im a bit disappointed over the direction they decided to take it. it would've been kind of cool if it had more of a like. puzzle-y type aspect to the gameplay? but im not entirely sad they took it out. i think that esp worked well w/ the "josh" saw trap and stuff. how you had to complete these riddles and stuff to "save" his life? it gave a more genuine comparison to saw and stuff. and how even if you completed everything it actually meant nothing? i feel it gives that scene a more tragic undertone if that makes sense. while the choosing between ash or josh is sooo good and interesting, i liked the beta's version of the trap as well

Yeah... so I don't think people realize how it's literally impossible for Luz to "win" whatever game The Collector puts her through. And how it'll be designed to be unfair and dangerous for Luz. [Plus some musings about how episode 3 might play out]:

Here's the thing, The Collector doesn't have a concept of fairness. This is because of his upbringing and where he's at at a developmental level. A child as young as he is will NOT inherently know how to be fair to others.

If she actually wins this game, she's screwed because The Collector isn't going to accept her win. Again, this kid DOESN'T LIKE Luz. Her win is just going to make him angry.

The Collector doesn't grasp how fragile mortals are. He legitimately thinks people will be fine on the moon as long as they hold their breath. He is not going to understand Luz isn't nearly as durable as he is.

We've reached a point where King can't step in and talk him down from hurting Luz. His trust in King is completely broken and he thinks King and Luz are working together to put a stop to him.

... See the thing is, The Collectors development is absolutely essential for turning The Boiling Isles back to normal. This development can only come about if The Collector does something to King he can never take back. Sure King's magic can cancel out Collector magic - but King hasn't fully stepped into his power yet. And The Collector isn't going to let King undue any of the magic he casted without throwing a tantrum. So The Collector needs to WILLINGLY undue the magic, which can only come about with character development.

Technically, Future!King could defeat The Collector, put him back in the mirror and turn everything back to normal by canceling out TC's magic... But there are two issues with that:

1.) It would be boring.

2.) There isn't a set-up for then to fight like this. King believes the mirror isn't going work - because it didnt work the first time. He came to the conclusion the best way to deal with The Collector, an immortal being, was to talk to him. King feels like he can RELATE to The Collector, which is why he wants to talk to him. Future!King is still going to talk to him, because when King meets TC again, he's going to be AN ADULT. He's going to have much more maturity and wisdom needed to deal with a being like The Collector. Once The Collector realizes he did something horrible to King, he's going to undue the magic he casted.

Luz is integral to The Collectors development because of her relationship with King. FTF goes out of it's way to highlight Luz as someone King deeply cares about. Like how she's the only one he's allowed to touch François. Or how it's implied King talks about Luz with The Collector all the time - they even go on Luz's adventures on a daily basis. King thinks of Luz as his big sister - this isn't a headcanon of mine, he straight up says to Luz: "I'm so happy I had you as a big sister" in King's Tide.

Eda and Luz are his family. This is how The Collector is going to hurt King. Not only is he going to send him into the past - he's going to send Luz to a different point in time. The Collector is going to create a situation where King might never EVER see Luz again. As she can literally be ANYWHERE in space-time - the chance of running into her is extremely slim. Not only is he going to lose Eda - his mother, he's going to lose his big sister.

Another thing to take note of is that Titan Trappers existed during the time when King's Father was alive AND they've persisted to the modern day - albeit much smaller than they were in the past. King has to deal with these Titan Trapper assholes for millions of years, while also toiling with the reality he might never see Luz and Eda again. If he survives until the present day, he might not see Luz again because she's in a completely different point in time than he is. If he doesn't survive until the modern day, he'll never see Eda again.

[Although Future King DID get a glimpse of Luz in the inbetween realm in FTF - we are unsure if this is the first time hes seen Luz since hes been sent to the past. Hes probably seen her during her stay in The Boiling Isles, but wouldn't be able to interact with her without causing a paradox].

Again, the purpose of this game with The Collector isn't for Luz to "win" - it's to expose her secret to her friends and girlfriend - or at least to Amity. Since Amity is the only character in the cast who can give Luz the "lesson" she needs to overcome her flaw. It's funny people think Amity wouldnt ask Luz what she wanted to talk about in TTT and FTF.

Luz, who's notorious for keeping stuff from her wanted to be open to her about something for the first time. And Im supposed to believe she wouldn't like... want to know what Luz was going to say to her when they were in the classroom? After she told Luz "But no more hiding, okay?" in Thanks to Them? After Luz has been trying to tell her something since Thanks to Them? Okay...

If I was going to make a guess of how this would play out: After Luz's secret has been exposed, King steps in to stop The Collector from hurting Luz. To reiterate: it's impossible for Luz to win this game, because this game will be designed to be unfair AND dangerous for her. She just needs to survive long enough to have her secret exposed. When King steps in - that's when shit hits the fan. Not only is The Collector jealous of Luz's and King's relationship - he thinks they're working together to put a stop to him. Luz get's sent back in time first, so when King is sent to the past he'll toil with the idea he might never see Luz again. Even if he manages to survive until the modern day to see Eda - there's a high probability he's not going to see Luz again.

Hunter tries to save Luz, but he gets sucked into the portal with her. Amity, Willow, and Gus have to deal with the reality they may never see Luz and Hunter again. Camila could be part of the group when she sees Luz and Hunter fall into a time portal or she could have been separated from the gang before this happens.

Camila's most likely going to be separated from everyone and meet up with Eda and Lilith. She'll be able to bond with Eda before Eda dies... I can see them wanting to prioritize this character interaction over Camila helping Future!King, Amity, Willow and Gus with The Collector.

I don't know lol, Either Eda dies because she can't fight the love of her life or she dies trying to protect Camila. While Camila does know glyph magic, she isn't used to casting it yet. So shes an easy target.

Lilith could get murked along with Eda or If Camila's present during this fight, she'll probably prioritize getting away with Camila rather than fight Philip. Lilith dying is honestly a 50/50.

Actually... I think he's going to kill Lilith, because there's a certain pattern with important characters Philip has tried to kill: He unintentionally killed Hunter in Thanks to Them, after he tried taking his life in Hollow Mind. He's tried killing Luz on multiple occasions with no success, but there's foreshadowing of Luz getting stabbed by him in Sense and Insensitivity and in season 3. He's been trying to capture and petrify Eda for thirty years - he would have succeeded at the end of season 1 if it wasn't for Lilith. Now he's going to be able to kill Eda, because Eda can't wholeheartedly fight Raine. Philip tried feeding Lilith to the Stonesleeper in Elsewhere and Elsewhen, but was unsuccessful. Now Lilith's in a predicament where she can't fight Raine with everything she's got - because Raine is Eda's lover. I mean, Lilith and Raine are probably friends? I have no recollection of them interacting, but Raine is still someone important to Eda. She isn't going to hurt Raine, because she doesn't want her sister to hate her after they JUST got on good terms with each other.

So yeah... Lilith's most likely going to die with Eda... Also, Lilith isn't going to have Hooty by her side during this fight, since she cant undue the doll magic...

Eda and Lilith still have their palismen, but the only one I think Philip is going to crack open is Eda's. Since Luz had a bonding episode with Owlbert and sometimes uses him as a staff. In the past Owlberts had two separate experiences where he looked like he was going to be cracked open. One time in Eclipse Lake and one time in Escape of The Palisman. Killing Lilith's palisman isn't going to have the same emotional weight as killing Owlbert.

I mean... I dont see how Philip isn't going to get his hand on a palisman. He can't go into his final fight with Luz the way he is now, because his body is literally falling apart. Raines body isn't going to last until the very end of the episode, because he's literally eating away at their body. Hunter received scars JUST from a few minutes of possession... every body Belos has possessed eventually corrodes to a point where they become unusable. So how exactly is Belos going to be able to fight Luz without regaining his human form?

UNLESS...

There's a chance he could posses Future!King. Belos knows a teleportation spell, which allows him to teleport inside the skull of TBI's. I mean... could he not tweak it in such a way where he can teleport directly inside King's skull? Because if he possess King, The Collector cant do anything to stop him, since Titan magic cancels out Collector magic. King is his best shot at not getting one-shotted by the cast and he's the only one who can fulfil his goal of destroying everything.

He's not going to be able to snag The Collector because... if he couldnt get him at his most vulnerable moment [sleeping] then hes never going to be able to get him while hes awake.

I dont see him targeting any of the main cast because again, he'd just eat away at their bodies. Sure, there is a benefit to possessing someone Luz cares about, since she won't be able to fight him seriously. But he's operating on a time limit with each possession. Once he leaves their body, Luz and company can just one shot him - thats how weak he is now. The other issue with this is that he's operating on another time limit: he needs to find a way to nuke everything before the two god characters get him.

Then there's his human form. He loses an advantage if he cant posses someone she cares about, but he regains enough clarity to fight Luz and whoever she brings with her to the final fight. But AGAIN, he's running on a time limit: he has to figure out how to nuke everything before the god characters murk him.

So... King is most likely going to get possessed. Because not only does Belos know a teleportation spell to get inside his head... Titan magic cancels out Collector magic. This will prevent The Collector from completely undercutting the tension during the final battle. This is whats most likely going to happen, because it prevents the two god characters from completely shitting on the final battle - which is supposed to be between Luz and Philip.

We are probably looking at a situation where Luz and whomever comes with her to the final battle - are going to fight Belos inside of King's head.... this is what I'm rolling with for now.

rant time!!! this is gonna be ALL about adventure time so strap in and listen!! (spoilers ahead)

i have been watching adventure time for literally all my life. probably since it first came out in 2010. and that fact i finally finish the series 13 years later is just. wow.

building off of that. i am so attached to these characters that i just broke down when i finished the series. like in distant lands during episode "together again" i just started sobbing. like these characters that i have loved my whole life are now dead and ahh!! it hurts so much!!!!! and finn and jake had one last adventure together fighting off literal death before being reincarnated and forgetting all of their memories as finn and jake :(. also and thats another thing!!! the fact that they have always found each other after death and gotten reincarnated together is just so !!!!!! their bond is brotherly which leads me to another point

i will probably never have a relationship like finn and jake. im a girl, with no brothers, so that means probably no brotherly bonds, especially ones you grow up developing and stuff. even despite that, ill probably never have a friendship like theirs' either which is so sad :(((((

ill also never have adventures like theirs either!!! like in modern times growing up in a treehouse with a magic dog, a mini robot, and surrounded by candy people is not likely to happen. even without all the magical stuff, just having adventures like them fighting off bad guys and stuff will never happen :(

my favorite character is bmo and let me tell you why! first, bmo is genderless throughout the entire show, which is amazing! and bmo is literally like the character who has saved multiple worlds from collapsing while still managing to build relationships and have a childlike attitude to things!! like amazing job bmo!!! also the sounds bmo makes while moving around are so nice. the little clickity clacks while he moves around is so calming! and the whole thing with football is a little weird but its so cute because you know bmo will always have a friend no matter where he goes!!

i feel incredibly guilty and bad because i messed up rewatching the show :(. i was watching it on hulu, which doesn't have the very last episode. i of course didnt know this and watched all of distant lands before the last episode of the series. i just kinda thought the show wanted the viewer to interpret what happened in the mushrooms wars their own way. and i suppose it worked out kinda, like for the dl episodes BMO, and the pep. butler one it works out because those dont necessarily build off of the finale. but for obsidian and together again its kinda crucial to watch the finale, especially for obsidian. like you need to know that marcy and bonny made up and became girlfriends in the finale before watching obsidian where they are suddenly gfs and kiss (which is just so good and i love they finally got together!!), and also why simon is suddenly no ice king anymore. and for together again, i would consider it important to just watch the finale and know that jake didnt die some horrible death during the mushroom wars, rather dying of old age like finn, plus its just kinda normal to watch the finale of the series before watching the two main characters die.

okay i think thats all for now but if i need to add something on i absoutely will!!!

i thought about it a bit more, and i have another branch of the au/hc/whatever the hell this is.

jimmy, when hes possessing ghost, has red eyes that match his form when hes outside of ghosts body. gavin knows when jimmys possessing ghost, however toast just sees ghost being murderous and goes "ah... hes overly stressed again... perhaps he needs his calming tea ^-^"

when they DO get together, gavin and jimmy agree that itd be kinda weird if they kissed while jimmy was inhabiting ghosts body, so they just have to deal with gavin only feeling a weird pressure on his lips when jimmy kisses him. (like jello...)

also, toast and ghost decide one day to check out an old abandoned house in the middle of nowhere, and... ghost breaks down, because thats where he used to live. yknow... gregory casket. jimmy, instead of immediately possessing him, just... watches. he evaluates some things.

and realizes his demonic urge to kill and destroy has faded. just a tiny bit. hes become... more human. it disgusts him.

(ofc they calm ghost down and ghost comments on how he didnt black out that time. jimmy feels bad about himself because!! hes not supposed to feel sympathy or compassion!!! let alone love!!! ew!! domesticity is gross!! bleh!!)

he complains to gavin about it and they discover that ever since gavin and him have been hanging out more and more, jimmy's power has been... not shrunken, per say, just redirected.

it makes him feel vulnerable.

he lashes out. possesses ghost more often and kills meaningless people with an anger hes only felt once before. it all happens within a week, and he realizes something. it isnt ONLY anger.

its grief.

grief over losing his ability to blindly kill. grief over losing his murderous tendencies. grief over gaining COMPASSION and HUMANITY. grief over falling in love for the first time.

of course he grieves. hes been a serial killer for so long, it makes sense to mourn the changes hes experienced. but at the same time, hed never change a thing.

he goes back to ghosts home in ghosts body, covered in multiple peoples blood. (hes not sure how he got here, but it infuriates him that he can just automatically find it no matter how far)

toast is there, fussing over the host's injuries (since when did ghost get that cut? he... should be more careful) and jimmy... jimmy exits the body, and sobs.

he watches the love toast feels for ghost, and promises one thing to himself: while he cant guarentee he'll never kill again, he can make himself human... for gavin, toast and ghost.

he just needs to figure out how to make himself a host, so that he doesnt hurt the man hes attached himself to (in more ways than one) he WANTS to be apart of humanity. he realizes hes hugging his host when he opens his eyes again, and realizes hes been subtly seeing ghost as his... well, as his brother. it hurts, and hes angry at that conclusion, but hes too tired to deny it. he falls asleep outside of ghosts body for the first time, and finally feels human.

so yeah idk how it sorta turned into a fanfic buuuut i think i like the concept :D if theres any spelling mistakes,,, no theres not,,,, and if its kindaaa ooc then uhm. hmm. well i havent watched vt in atleast 2 years so theres bound to be some mistakes :P

This AU has really become a story and a half! Maybe you could make it into a fic? It sounds like there’s still more that can happen next! ^^

Dw too much about being OOC, I think a fun thing with the medium is that canon is flexible. Plus, you have development from A to B, so I don’t think it’s too inane a concept! Jimmy reconsidering the murder thing and actually feeling is an interesting concept and a good way to defang him as a monster— and admittedly id be lying if i said i haven’t had characters grow as people through introspection in concepts b4 ^^

STAR TREK UPDATE TIME. quick fast im in a hurry. last night we watched tng's "the chase" and ds9's "the storyteller"

the chase (tng):

this episode didn't commit any major crimes (aside from picard disobeying orders to go on an archaeology hunt - kirk took disobeying even trivial orders so seriously he only did so to save spock's life and was certain his would end his career over it...ANYWAY)

however it was. very. boring

wait sorry i just remembered yes it did commit a crime. aside from that other thing. we're all humanoids bc of that bald lady's alien race seeding us on every planet they could find? isn't that kind of violating the prime directive? like yes ik they didn't have that back then but to let no life develop naturally...we all got grown out of test tubes or something?

to be honest, i might not have been following the plot of that episode wholly i was playing ch*ss on my phone with catherine. cathy, if you're reading this, it's your turn.

i also maybe played a game of solitaire or two...it was REALLY boring

CHARMING. absolutely charming start to finish. i fucking loved it

here's the thing about ds9. the plot of this episode fucking sucked ass, but i don't mind in the least because the characters are all so good and actually get to do stuff and form bonds with each other! wild how that works!

like, "we have to defeat a made-up cloud with the power of positive thinking so we don't all go to war?" girl, what on earth. but it literally doesn't matter because it's just an excuse for o'brien to be longsuffering and julian bashir to be most delightfully cringefail twink that ever existed and then do whatever it is together that they do. SURPRISING chemistry from those two. i know they wind up being besties later and i CANNOT wait

like, that guy was like "who can i pick to replace me...not this stupid airhead twink, are you kidding me? bring me the irishman." real.

the b plot of this also sucked. "jake and nog harass a teenage tribe leader because nog thinks she's cute" sounds bad But Actually. i like jake and nog hanging out a lot, i've grown quite fond of them, and the girl wound up needing a little outside perspective due to inexperience/was probably perfectly capable of getting rid of them had she wanted to

plus, it was an excuse for jake to be like my dad is a GREAT dad and then to have mister great dad tell jake and nog they were gonna clean that oatmeal off the walls with a fucking toothbrush

also. as a brand new odo stan i admit i was in considerable distress when they talked about stealing his bucket. but. i also really really really wanted to see the bucket. and he caught them anyway :')

him telling them to stop dangling and then they get up and immediately sit back down when he leaves and also he smiles at them when they aren't looking :')))

i think odo would be great with kids. absolutely he wants nothing to do with kids but he'd be great with them.

I usually dont mind ppl having different interpretations of characters and relationships, but this is just an insult to my boy’s character and his connection to nagi.

Reo may have developed an interest in nagi bc of his talent (and i find the notion of him doing the same thing he hated his family for at the start very interesting btw), but since then he obviously has developed an emotional attachment, and to him, it has to be nagi. he’s met people with even more skill than him in blk but he still hasnt spared them a 1/100 of the attention he gives to his best friend.

ofc i think it was important for them to improve on their own and maybe it was premature of him to go back to devoting himself to nagi so quickly, but i truly believe its bc he understood nagi’s perspective since he “abandoned him” and his true intentions.

the difference in their perspectives is very clear even before they enter blue lock:

at that point winning the world cup was just reo’s dream but even then, to reo, the most important thing was for them to be together until the end (nagi was the one who made him promise that would be the case too !!) , while nagi was content with just going along with him bc he started caring abt him as a person

until they lost to isagi’s team. from that moment, he decided (and was right imo) that they need to do whatever they can, even if they have to take separate paths for some time, to get stronger.

and nagi didnt “lose sight of their og goal” what are they talking about?? nagi literally mentions/thinks about their dream to be the best together every chance he gets?? he even got mad at reo cause he thought his friend was the one who forgot about their dream. he thought he was taking the vital steps to make it a reality and was frustrated reo couldnt see that:

reo felt betrayed because he cared about nagi himself as much as he cared about their dream and thought that nagi used him as a stepping stone to move forward alone, when actually it would be more accurate to say that nagi views everyone except for reo as a stepping stone. (i dont blame reo for this, since even tho nagi tried to communicate that hes doing it for them, he did a terrible job of it).

but during their latest talk reo had already worked on himself and had acknowledged the fact that he was in the wrong for assuming that them being together no matter the cost was the right thing

so when nagi approached him and explained himself a little better this time (boy was shocked when he realised how reo took their separation and put in a little bit more effort lol)

reo finally understood how their desires intertwine now. how can people claim that reo sees nagi as a tool when its more of the other way around; meaning reo sees himself as a tool for making nagi the best striker in the world and he already declared that to Ego before:

plus saying that he and nagi arent friends and they are just using each other is so out of touch with everything we’ve seen so far. reo’s devotion to nagi aside, nagi too cares for reo a lot outside of soccer. even after he left reo, he still got excited to see him and talk to him despite everything; to him it was obvious they would continue to interact no matter which team each of them was on:

and he also felt bad for hurting him and expressed the hope that he would forgive him

the only thing that i wish would happen now is for nagi to apologise to reo face to face instead of only doing it in his own thoughts, and for reo to also talk about why he was hurt. but i feel like they understood each other either way without many words, because in the end, their bond is just that strong.

they now both want to succeed more than they ever have before and have stopped being their complacent selves we met during the first selection. they are both thinking far into the future and not just within blue lock, so whether they keep moving forward together or separated from now on, it will be knowing they are working towards their shared dream.
