Hello, I am new to F1 and Charles is my favorite driver. Today I saw many people mentioning Charles' personal fashion CLACE. This project was blocked by Ferrari? But why? Do other drivers have a personal brand? Can they do what they want? I'm very curious about this. What does it mean now that Charles can wear his own clothes? I would be very grateful if you could reply to me<3

1. why was clace blocked by ferrari?

i believe charles may have started working on clace and the concept of it while he was still with sauber. i’m not 100% on that timeline. regardless, he stopped developing it while at ferrari and once got asked about it. he said something to the effect that it just wasn’t a good time, but sebastian take-no-shit vettel revealed that actually, ferrari won’t let him (or any driver) have his own clothing line. (note to self: come back to link this interview video) so we know that is the true reason.

as to why, it’s because ferrari has an exclusive clothing partnership with puma. the drivers are allowed to design their “own” shirts for special races (like charles’ monza merch), but they are all still produced and sold by puma. the issue with clace, for ferrari/puma, is that it would not be produced by puma and therefore violates that exclusivity clause.

2. do other drivers have their own brands?

yes! not every team has a fully exclusive partnership. and given the individual contracts of drivers and unique brand circumstances (drivers have their own not-team sponsors as well as team sponsors, who sometimes sponsor them as a driver as well), it can vary. so it may be that ferrari as a team has an exclusive arrangement, but charles as a driver and independent contract may develop his own brand line on the side. that was not the case before (and still, theoretically) but just as an example.

off the top of my head: lando has quadrant, which is his own company/esports that sells merch. he also sells LN4 merch. quadrant is technically independent of him. i actually can’t remember if mclaren has a clothing sponsorship tbh, but he’s been able to have his own brand. similarly, max has vestappendotcom and team redline, both of which are independent organizations (and i believe redline has merch). daniel launched enchanté recently. sebastian didn’t start his good-causes t-shirts until after he retired but he has that brand. so yes, personal branding is also big for drivers are they start to develop their reputation as drivers apart from their teams.

as to whether or not they can do what they want… it really will vary based on the individual contract, but not really. i think lewis probably has the greatest freedom over his reputation and personal brand (he does a LOT outside of racing and is globally famous, “beyond” f1), but he likely still has certain clauses relating to his conduct and how it reflects on mercedes. plus, all of the drivers are bound by the fia’s rules (notably, the non-political stance that all drivers have to abide by).

one example along these lines are the driver’s personal cars. not all of them are really bound to have their own team’s constructor’s cars, i don’t think, but it seems like most drivers either do or they have a car from a related partner or sponsor. i know less about the personal cars tbh. charles has his ferrari pista which he mostly drivers, but he also has several other brands. max has several aston martins (which, while being a distinct team, as a Brand is one of red bull’s sponsors). i don’t know what the haas drivers drive, but i wouldn’t be surprised if they have ferraris (because haas uses ferrari engines).

3. so what does it mean that charles is wearing clace?

it means CHANGE. something is afoot that has changed his contractual obligations regarding puma. this can mean a LOT of things, especially because he just signed with a big talent management company (WME) and because he is wearing clace noticeably and publicly. a lot of his fans know it got shut down by ferrari, so he had to know that people who notice and realize this Means Something.

what does it mean? at the very least, in all of my theories, it means charles’ negotiating power has grown significantly. his personal brand and reputation has power. he is able to get a contract that entitles him to greater personal freedoms and branding outside of his team. that’s mega.

what contract, though? my main theories:

he has resigned with ferrari already with a very favorable contract (that immediately modified his current) that entitles him to greater liberties and likely has several clauses requiring more preferential treatment with car development etc

he has signed with rbr, who are less strict on personal brands (as an energy drink, they can achieve their marketing power based on putting a can in their hand regardless of what they are wearing. their brand is built more on vibes and emotion than on Stuff). this also likely means his contract kicks in sooner than, say, 2025… because otherwise, he’d likely still have to abide by his remaining year on the ferrari contract.

puma is ending their partnership with ferrari and/or ferrari’s sponsorships are shuffling around a bit, so it’s no longer a limitation on the drivers.

i’m sure there could be many other explanations. im sure wondering about what it all means is going to drive me insane.

I can understand people perceiving the hug to just be a hug between besties and that’s totally valid but just like anything to do with pazzi, it’s never really what they do but it’s what the rest of the team does that always gives them away or makes everything 🤨🤨 like with that hug, from the front angle you saw KK legit have the biggest surprised smile on her face when they hugged and the other angle, you can clearly see her put her hands over her mouth and was completely cheesing plus you can see ice looking over at kk? and giving a knowing smile. Then you obvs had azzi giving kk a light shove at the end to get her to stop. Bonus: aubrey’s smile as p goes in for the hug and the way q looks at them in the photo that was posted.

It’s the same with that clip. Like yes, the way they were holding each other in that seemed intimate but you could also chalk it up to them being drunk or something, but it was ice and carol’s reaction afterwards that let you know something’s going on.

So many other examples tbh haha but y’all already know 😜. Like 97% of their interactions in public can definitely be explained as just very close besties behavior, but their teammates’ reactions always say otherwise. But ofc each to their own and like i said, i can definitely understand ppl that totally just see them as besties (and maybe they really are just that or maybe not, i guess we’ll never know until they want us to know!)

started from them using suspiciously similar bottles from the brand and both with lemon water on it. then it continued onto other things that made turtles 🤨. apparently it doesn’t end there and they have no chill. i’m still 50/50 on these but i won’t say that i don’t appreciate it.

so it all started up with a post done by the brand that featured some of their products last 5/23 ( ai zhan ). two of those are color red & green — which is the combined fan colors of xz and wyb + what looks like a yellow one? some turtles were clowning lightly ( joking — why are you posting our family picture? ) but apparently, these upset a few so/os to the point that one complained and the brand ( through customer service most likely ) apologized. which is pretty standard tbh. it doesn’t prove any “loyalty” to a fan group or what. tho i’m pretty sure the brand appreciates so/os — it’s kinda expected that they will apologize for any “inconvenience” they caused a customer no matter how ridiculous it is.

anyway, going back. people discovered that the day before the video, they posted an article of their collab with li-ning ( which zz endorses ) at 18:23 ( yibo ai zhan ) — then as if that wasn’t enough, a collab with loreal with a blue bottle ( which is the sort of the color of the container in loreal pro ads ). i doubt the endorsers get much say in this kind of business of collabs but the fact that it’s both theirs is a nice coincidence.

you would think that they will stop with anything that would associate wyb with xz or cpfs but they didn’t.

5/29, they posted on Weibo, specifically about putting fruits in drinks. “fruits” is a term that cpfs call themselves. So is this an acknowledgement? What’s hilarious are the comments on the post. It’s all BXGs showing support and sharing photos of their purchases.

5/31, they decided to play it up with what WYB said on his Chunzhen live event. So they posted a video featuring a drink with frozen lychees ( which wyb said he enjoys ). all good right??? not really. the bgm they used is titled you who love heartily 105 degrees. It is a lot of people’s favorite song but why that? 105. 10/5. plus later, they showed another drink, this time with frozen bayberry which is another popular bjyx cpn. I mean. Are these all coincidences?

what i LOVE about buddy daddies is how people react to miri having two dads. 

like miss anna at the daycare only wanted to know if miri loved her two dads, she is such an ally i love her. and also how the daycare mamas don’t even have moments where they judge the two.

even in public people don’t tend to act in a certain way towards them. they are treated as normal it’s so great to see.

sure we haven’t seen much yet but i get the vibe that they won’t go down that route anyways, i think they just want to share this story of a found family from the inside more than anything.

like yes i know they aren’t really gay (although there have been moments where they REALLY push that subtext), but even then their bond is so close it doesn’t really matter if it’s romantic or not.

i especially love how episode 5 really showed off the gay subtext with the drawing miri did looking like a child drawing her parent’s marriage photo: a black suit and a white wedding dress. plus the shot after of the two dads looking like they are at a wedding altar. 

i espeically like how rei was the one drawn with the traditional woman’s wedding outfit since kazuki is the one taking the traditional motherly role (and totally loves being a mama malewife papa too). it’s a great contrast espeically even now people see gay couples needed to fit into the traditional woman and man roles. like these two guys are literally made to be opposites even down to the roles they play in their parenting.

i love how you can read it as both platonic and romantic tbh, like even if it’s obviously like a platonic partnership.

the crüe if they were a kpop band

(warning: LONG POST AHEAD!! you’re in for a long ass yap session…)

ok, some (most) of you probably aren’t that into kpop like i am (yes, i like both kpop and rock, weird combo, i know), so i’ll introduce you to just some basic facts before we begin…

1. kpop groups can comprise of 4 member groups to 13 member groups (and probably more than that tbh)

2. there are a couple of positions that are integral to comprising a kpop band…i’ll run over those real quick.

main vocalist: the person who sings most of the song (this can be more than one person) they’re also the most technically gifted and can hit real high notes.

lead vocalist: the second best singer, usually sings before the main vocalist does (like they’ll sing a line or verse before the main does) also sometimes sings the chorus.

sub vocalist: supports the main and lead vocalist and has little lines. not as good as the lead and main vocalist

the same can be applied to the rappers, they also have a main, lead and sub rapper line.

the dance line is more simplified. everyone in a kpop group dances, but for the best dancers there’s a

1. main: the best of the group, gets solo dances/parts

and

2. lead: the second best, usually dances in the front in performances.

(btw, there can be more than one main/lead dancer)

there are other positions that aren’t as important to the music aspect, they are:

visual: basically just the most attractive member of the band…yes this is a position.

face of the group: these are the members that are the most popular. you might know the band because of this person. this can also be the visual, and it does overlap at times. this can be the person who usually goes to a lot of variety shows, or the person who trends because of a meme or funny moment. it’s just the most well known member, and it does change a lot depending on all these factors.

maknae: maknae translates roughly to “youngest person.” (it actually translates to “younger sibling” but) the youngest person in a room is the maknae of said group of people. for some reason, maknaes are seen as being shy and cute (weird tbh) but the ones that aren’t become popular for being an “evil maknae.” (basically just opposite of the stereotype).

the center: the center is pretty much the person who’s always put in the middle of the group during promotions (photos, dances, etc.). this can be due to their beauty, or their dance talent, or popularity. this is also subject to change.

some other terms i think i’ll be using:

trainee: a person who trains to be able to debut in a group

aegyo: pretty much a cute act or gesture. if someone were to ask you to do aegyo they’d pretty much be telling you to be cute/do something cute

v live: like insta live but for kpop idols. can be a bit big budget when it comes to album showcases (promotion for upcoming albums)

golden maknae: the youngest member who’s talented in more than one thing (rapping, singing, dancing, etc.). (other members talented in more than one thing are called aces)

ending fairy: at the end of a performance at shows like music bank, the camera will cut to a member and they either stare at the camera and look hot or they do something rememberable, like a wink or aegyo. sometimes bands will make fun of the ending fairy and do a gag that will end up going viral.

sasaengs: stalker fans…like hardcore. i’m talking breaking into your hotel room type stalker fans. no not only that, giving you orange juice laced with glue type stalker fans (don’t ask you don’t want to know).

ok we got all that? good, let’s start this thing!

ok i think it’s pretty obvious what he is

main vocalist: self explanatory

vocals would get praised for how high he can actually go

visual: reasonably he’s the most conventionally attractive (but if it were up to me i would have made the visual mick) plus his blonde hair stands out against everyone else’s dark hair so thats an advantage for him in this situation

lead dancer: he does alot of dancing on stage tbh so i think he’d be a lead dancer

he’s not the face of the group, although most ppl think he is (which he loves ofc)

would be on v live doing absolutely nothing. would probably do a mukbang to show he’s not entirely vain

would do a skin care routine live on air only to get told off by nikki

the member that gets tired the most. rehearsals are terrible when he’s already a bit sleepy

downright refuses to do aegyo. nothings going to make him do it. is a buzzkill on variety shows

was the trainee everyone thought would never debut because of how lazy he was

usually gets to do ending fairies and uses them as an opportunity to look hot.

fans regard him as the pretty one and the running gags are about how vain he is

sub vocalist: i’ve heard him sing and he ain’t that bad ngl, doesn’t sing much though because…

main rapper: sorry guys he’s a rapper in this one. haven’t heard him rap before but he gives rapper vibes at times so let me have this one. (personal note: if i had to imagine his rap style i’d probably compare him to j-hope of bts…you don’t have to know who that is dw)

main dancer: yep, this one has evidence. when tommy was younger he took dance lessons with his sister, so i’ll use that to justify this. tommy and vince would have dance solo performances at the big award shows (mama, mma, inkigayo year end awards) and it would totally go viral.

maknae: he’s also the youngest so he’d be the maknae…he’d also be the golden maknae because of the many positions he has.

i think he’d also be the center due to this (at least during certain promotion periods)

the funny one, he has a lot of “tommy being hilarious for seven minutes” type of youtube compilations made of him (some of them go viral)

great at aegyo but doesn’t do it a lot (it takes a lot of convincing)

has been the face of the group at least once (during top era)

literally does not care about his image, will go on v live in his blinged out speedo and almost get the band banned from the app

gets in dating scandal with heather locklear

his photo cards always look terrible (he makes stupid faces when taking the photo)

almost got kicked out of his company as a trainee because he threw a fire extinguisher out the 13th floor window when frustrated. added to his constantly updating bill

will do aegyo for an ending fairy to go viral (gets compilations made of it on yt)

fans think of his as the energizer of the band. constantly all over the place and making sure the band keeps the good vibes up

i think he’d also be the one helping the band learn new dances, and he’d be a bit strict about everyone being absolutely perfect

leader of the band

sub rapper: he can hold a rhyme that’s for sure. they don’t give him too many lines

sub vocalist: also not the best singer, but can sustain a note and that’s all that matters

face of the group: because he’s the leader, he mainly speaks for the band. ppl get used to seeing him on every variety show.

the only thing he’s great at is running away from sasaengs (too harsh sorry.)

got clowned a lot as a trainee because of how quote unquote untalented he was

hates aegyo, never does it seriously

says real crazy shit during variety shows, everyone loves it (goes viral for not having a filter)

has serious moments, but everyone thinks he’s a leader that lets his members get away with anything (not true) probably because he’s so laid back at times

in this scenario i feel like he would be the underrated member (because he never gets center position and he’s always in the back in performances) he’s the member that gets those #LETBLANKSING twitter campaigns (and they always trend)

everyone ships him with tommy (either that or they make those silly “stop shipping them that’s weird” comments) nikki would play it up for fan service (but he wouldn’t tell tommy)

everyone thinks he’s untalented but he’s the one that writes the songs and helps produce sometimes. he does try his best to give his fans the best performance so he’s always practicing, takes vocal lessons and is in the dance room 24/7

he’s the best at representing the band, and does most of the talking in interviews

lead vocalist: OK so i once read a comment somewhere that said mick could actually sing and he was lying about not being able to, so on that basis i’ll let him be the lead vocalist. sounds great harmonizing with vince. his voice is much softer, which actually works with vince’s louder higher tone

lead dancer: like i said i’m going off looks, this is 100% not canon to the crüe lore (so just pretend he doesn’t have as for my sake). he looks like he could actually dance, and in my headcanon he’d be just as good as tommy, although he wouldn’t get many solos only because tommy and vince usually take over that department. he is regularly in the front during performances though.

sub rapper: gets a little rap moment sometimes…everyone finds it cute cause he’s trying. (will go viral and everyone will eat up their lil meow meows one bar)

fake maknae, everyone thinks he’s the youngest (because he’s short and he’s got a cute round face…and because he seems like the shyest) is referred to as the “cute one who can dance real well” (everyone’s shocked to find out he’s the oldest)

the member known for having a 4D personality (being weird and alienlike) their fans find it cute though (becomes popular because of it)

literally the “cute one” like fans are making nicknames for him (lil meow meow, goth kitty, alien)

very mysterious and quiet, doesn’t talk much in interviews and doesn’t get invited to variety shows alone because of it

his extreme paleness makes fans joke about him never leaving his house (someone asked him if he never leaves his house once as a joke and he answered honestly)

his voice once cracked performing on a radio show once during their debut era and nobody’s let it go ever since

he’s literally the most like suga of bts (i’m sorry for bringing them up so often but they’re my favs and a lot of them remind me of the crüe boys tbh)

was extremely shy and quiet during his trainee years, to the point where the other trainees were scared of him. when he debuts in the crüe, the rest of the members are sure he’s going to be scary and mean but he turned out to just be shy and the rest of the band feels bad for judging him

I’m trying to make sense of the pap photo situation. Let’s take a journey together, shall we?

Post season 3 filming, we know the situation: feelings, confusion, let’s take some time.

Both date other people for a bit.

Then we have December reshoots, then January/February press/interviews.

They start the world tour, they get back into the rhythm. Lots of chemistry, flirting.

They see the video edits of themselves (birds of a feather). They see the heart eyes towards each other. Everyone wants them together. Lukola surpasses Polin as the focus of the tour.

Feelings are there, but they still aren’t ready to act on them (or maybe they’ve never acknowledged them)

Nicola is single now towards end of press tour. Luke has a lady in his life; he wants to keep it casual but she (A) has been getting upset by the focus on L&N and is threatened by their undeniable bond.

L&N were told to play it up for PR because everyone knew they had great chemistry and yet they got criticized for not having it by some people before S3 filmed. But they enjoyed it too much and it got out of hand.

L and N secretly love people shipping them because they secretly like to fantasize about it anyway. It gets them a little hot, tbh.

However, it puts a lot of pressure on them to figure out their confounding feelings, which they know they need to wait until after the tour is over to explore. Plus A is pissed.

Plus, how will they handle the optics of going from heavy flirting to seemingly (to us, because we don’t see the behind the scenes) nothing. People will feel (rightfully, IMO) manipulated because this whole thing has gotten blown out of proportion. A giant snowball.

So, both PR teams try to take some pressure off. L will be photographed with a “possible” girlfriend. He basically ignores her, but they are going to the same place. They think it will create speculation and hint to the fans that L and N are “just friends”. He always claimed he was single; L&N said they were great friends, so it doesn’t look like anyone’s cheating or anything. Plus L can still claim he’s single, because he refused to touch A.

They remain supportive, but professional on SM (actually professional, not whatever way they usually act and claim it’s just all professional). And maybe the SATC TikTok was planned ahead of time as a is-this-about-Luke-or-not fun thing but it backfired because Luke is the one getting the blame for everything. Something that was supposed to look innocent for him a lot of hate.

I will admit I’m not 100% sold on this theory but I don’t know if I believe A is the mastermind who orchestrated this. Its inspired by a PR anon from another blog (not MPOV) that I keep thinking about.

I didn’t fall completely into it, but I understand why people romanticized Nic and Luke because I felt the excitement too. It didn’t help that the PR world tour served it up on a platter. I can see why people felt like their emotions were used. The point of PR is to make people believe, otherwise it wouldn’t work. It felt like they wanted people’s emotional investment when it mattered to the marketing/pr team, but made them all feel stupid when they no longer needed the clout and dropped it with unfortunate timing. Particularly after Part 2’s drop, which some felt underwhelmed by. But that’s PR for you.

I can also see how our personal projections leaned into it as well. For many, having a romantic lead and actress who represented beauty outside the mainstream perception of women was refreshing and hopeful. So although no one’s at fault, I truly do get the tinge of sadness many felt after seeing what the GF looked like.

It’s ok to feel the way that you do about people, some of us are just romantics and love when human emotions are palpable because love is infectious. I felt a little stupid getting into it too, but you cross a line when you start harassing real people based on what you believe. It’s sort of embarrassing and I hope Luke and Nic are able to come back with that chemistry strong for Season 4 without being deterred.

Oh, I’m very open about how I fell (am still falling, really) in love with them. I’m not over it yet, tbh, but I think my being self-aware about crossing boundaries is extremely important in situations like this. (I try not to engage in platforms where I know Nicola frequents, to protect the fourth wall.)

Because frankly, I see them struggling now, to balance their comfort with each other while managing expectations from the fans, and I really don’t want that for them. I hope the frenzy dies down and they find their footing with each other in the public eye again.

On our personal projections, boy, do I get it. Seeing Nic bloom into this undeniably sexy, desired, beloved romantic lead has healed me in ways years of therapy could never. Plus the public love for her has very directly changed a lot of my perceptions about how truthful other people are in their positive view of me and also my own view on my capacity to be sexy and desired and attractive, and that’s priceless to me.

So I was also quite er, wounded, by the pap photos. It did, honestly, pop a very very beautiful bubble for me, because let’s be honest — Luke Newton is gorgeous, and they are gorgeous together. But then I realized that I was falling into the trap of assuming, once again, that she was the one being rejected, instead of the multitude of other equally possible realities (e.g. it really is just platonic between them, or she’s in a relationship, or she doesn’t want a relationship, or the timing is off, or she doesn’t want it to get messy with someone who’s so important to her, or her career comes first, or literally any reason it could be under the sun).

I think it’s important to honor the idea that she means so much to many of us, and that the fantasy of them together means a lot to many of us, and that is valid and okay. That’s what romance is there for, you know? For us to see the possibilities of what could happen for us and retrain our brains to genuinely believe in good outcomes.

But I think it’s important to reframe this narrative that she’s somehow losing out in this, because that’s factually incorrect and really undoes a lot of the confidence she’s given us.

I don’t blame anyone for getting attached, and I don’t blame anyone for feeling hurt. Those are emotions — you can’t control them and they’re all valid. But, I guess, when it gets tough, take a second look at her and what she’s doing, for herself and for everyone, and focus hard on the fact that that’s not born from her and Luke. That’s born from nothing other than her being entirely and unapologetically her.

do you think the ex will be coming back? i’m starting to think they won’t at this point but who knows since bls love to throw in the ex storyline at last minute (well this isn’t your stereotypical/cliche kind of bl however they have been tackling many bl tropes head on and spinning them/doing a commentary on them so they might do it with the ex too). i fear for ray’s reaction if the ex comes back but i also fear for sand’s. i don’t believe sand would be swayed if he and ray decided to go all in but there’s clearly still a lot of hurt and bitterness there towards his ex so he clearly still cares and if for example the ex is good at manipulating …who knows what could happen.

i’m also curious as to when sand’s sex scene with someone not in the main cast is coming. where will sand and ray’s relationship be? will it be a flashback (doubt it at this point unless they decide to really give us ex backstory)? are sand and ray are in a bad place again possibly after the apartment fight and he wants to not feel lonely or get his mind off ray (would once again be scared for when/if ray finds out) so he gets a one night stand or even worse it’s with the ex? i’m so curious about it simply because of the positive way the sandray relationship seems to be going next ep (that we know won’t last but still).

I keep expecting the ex to show up, but he never does, and at this point we're getting pretty close to the end. If Ray's alcoholism/mental health issues occupy as much of the plot as I think they're going to, then that doesn't leave much room for an ex storyline. To your point about the series subverting common tropes--if the ex comes in, I don't think the series will follow a typical "ex comes to stir up drama and jealousy" arc. Up to now, the whole reason the "Sand ex" thing has come up at all is because it's contextualized Sand's feelings about Top and given him motivation to tell Ray about the sex tape. So it's hardly related to Sand and Ray's storyline at all (yet).

From a SandRay storyline perspective, I don't know if we need to see Ray be jealous of Sand's ex to move their plot forward...we can already infer how Ray would react to that. Plus, we saw it on a smaller scale with the Freddie Mercury guy in Ep8. It could give Ray more clarity about his feelings for Sand I suppose, but tbh I think Ray isn't too far away from admitting how he truly feels with or without an ex plotline to rile him up.

Sand's sex scene with someone else is something I cannot reconcile with the plot at this point. I feel like it would almost have to be a flashback, or he and Ray have a huge fight that leads him to cut off Ray permanently (or what he thinks is permanently) leading him to distract himself with someone else. Idk why, but I don't get the feeling that Sand would hookup with someone right after an argument as a way of getting back at Ray? Though I suppose it depends on just how nasty the argument they have is. If Sand thinks they can still come back from it, I don't think he'd go after anyone else.

But a flashback at this stage of the plot? For an ex that can't take up too much of the storyline? Idk. I've seen some people speculate that the love scene Jojo hinted at next episode with the blurry-ass photo is Sand and Nick, which...:/ I can't pick apart the pixels and peer through all the blurriness, but I am 99.999% sure it's Sand and Ray. Hopefully I don't jinx it by saying that.

So all in all, I am very confused about the ex's involvement in the plot. The preview doesn't indicate that they will appear next episode either. So where does that leave them? I'm on the edge of my seat.

yeah it’s definitely strange to see the cult-like behavior towards who he “dates.” suddenly posting her, adding her to their bio, complimenting her looks and projects, defending her as if she’s now a member of their family. these women do not know you! even seb would find it a bit offputting.

I don’t know how many times I have said that Yibo is really making the necessary steps to make himself more mainstream. by that i mean, shedding the title of traffic star. the label itself isn’t all that bad tbh. lots of artists would kill to have the same traffic he does so they can have more endorsements and better scripts their way. however, i observed that he is transitioning to being an actor who hopefully will be loved by a lot of people and not just his core fans. The same goes for XZ, tho he is having a harder time staying away from being a traffic star and his own rice circle. I am in no way discrediting 🍤 or 🏍️, I just mean that the end game for the boys is to be a national celebrity. This transition leaves a lot of responsibility to existing fans like us, to be more welcoming to the new ones. This is why I get so mad when fans pay more attention to drama and fan wars cause it turns off potential supporters. It’s a huge red flag seeing a toxic fan group. I really hope one day, things do settle down and fans learn to be more chill.

Oh, if people are still submitting their toxic Tae asks, I actually do think he might occasionally purposefully rile shippers (not every time or even most of the time he’s accused, just sometimes, and I think he might do it with other members too, he even riles jkkrs up by posting jkk sometimes) but I don’t think he’s malicious about it or trying to incite the really hardcore truthers. I read many rational discussions on the topic and many Jkkrs (me included) accepted the fact that Jikook may not be exclusive/may have had sth in the past but are not together now (I'm of this opinion although the military thing has started my deluluness again and I'm leaning towards the belief that they may be something more than friends even today), and it was a breath of fresh air to see how many Jkkrs didn't just bluntly dismiss it was him (I mean we still don't know for sure if it was or not, but you shouldn't exclude all options bc they don't fit your narratives) - sth I haven't seen with Tkkrs (starting with the Taennie video and then Jk's) - on the contrary, I've seen them become more unhinged than ever.

So there are crazy shippers on both part, as well as the rational ones, but still, whenever I think of Tkk shippers, I get the ick as they give me such cult-like vibes (and this has nothing to do with Tae and Jk themselves).

I think it’s about time I start posting my thoughts/theories about ROTPL… so here goes

SPOILERS 🚨 Part One

Starting with this photo and the whole Nancy/Potato relationship..

My theory is that this is right after Nancy finds out that her parents were the ones to dedicate that song to her on Halloween and NOT potato like she currently thinks

So of course she feels defeated because now she thinks Potato was telling the truth and he isn’t keen on her and she’s thinking damn I was wrong. no boy likes me for who I am

BUT little does she know that Potato’s falling madly in love as we speak

The corsage that Nancy has on her wrist has to have been given to her by Potato right??? It doesn’t match her dress so I’m assuming it was his choice 😭 but AAAA THEYRE SO CUTE ALREADY

It makes me sad that Cynthia isn’t wearing a suit too but there are a couple things I have to say about that-

1. Even though we all know she probably would’ve wanted to- wearing a suit would’ve caused a lot of trouble for her and even though that makes me sad to think about, it IS the 50s… so better safe than sorry

2. The dress is not a reflection of her character’s journey because clearly she’s having trouble figuring out her identity, plus there’s that whole does Cynthia become a T-Bird and a Pink Lady debate. But at least she looks like she’s enjoying herself!! That’s the least we could ask for

OK BACK TO WALLY

The fact that he’s at the Frosty Palace with Hazel when Buddy and the others are nowhere to be seen makes me think his song is about what Hazel said in one of the earlier episodes about whether he actually likes the dance/his friends even tho he’s known them forever

Plus he’s just watched her act her heart out as Juliet so he’s pretty much head over heels

We’ve been getting a lot of character development songs, esecially with Buddy in episode 7, and the fact that Wally’s singing in the rain? You can’t get much more angsty than that 😭

The scene where Richie gives Gil his blessing to ask out Olivia in the last ep gave me such huge relief I’m so glad we’re getting our bbg away from that vile criminal teacher

Also I see Shy Guy there in the background busting some moves so I’m glad he’s having a good time even if he doesn’t have a date
