My plot prediction for season 2, Act 1:
Ambessa steps instantly into the Piltover power vacuum created by "your Council is dead". (Maybe Jayce is in a coma? Scenes of a badly injured Viktor sitting by his bedside in a parallel). She brings in the Noxian war airship and troops that we see in the trailer (maybe they're the only forces still loyal to her, as the Medarda family has lost power in Noxus, but Piltover doesn't need to know that. There's desperation under the steel). She declares her intention to carpet-bomb the undercity to avenge her daughter.
Caitlyn: no! I'll lead a strike force with specific objectives. Vi will help.
Vi: whuh
Caitlyn, frantically, aside: please help me she's going to kill everyone down there if we don't do something.
Vi is presented with two horrible options: turn on her own, who are the ones who are actually guilty, or watch a lot of innocent lives destroyed. A parallel to the situation that made Vander turn on Silco, and Vi is Vander's daughter.
The strike team strikes. It goes very wrong, Zaun being Zaun. Zaun excels at meeting violence with violence, and whatever else the man may have done, Silco enhanced those capabilities. (Possibly Singed is brought back to Piltover alive. Ambessa: "what an interesting person, I hear you are currently without a sponsor for your scientific endeavours? Maybe you should have a look at this unconscious Council member, he was such a fine young man.")
After the strike team's failure, Ambessa declares Piltover under her protection, and sets herself up as a warlord. Piltover falls without a fight. Vi and Caitlyn are left traumatised, horrified and probably split up by how badly the strike force went. Vi takes to drinking. Caitlyn finds herself in the Grayson role: trying to be a good cop in a bad system, working for bad masters.
Jinx and Zaun, meanwhile, see no reason why Piltover being taken over by Noxus should change anything. Jinx destroys or steals Ambessa's airship (she always wanted one of those) and repeatedly and successfully hits the overcity. She taunts Vi and Caitlyn maliciously with their failure and subservience. The Noxian forces make absolutely no headway against the disorganised violence of Zaun - Warwick, Smeech, the unholy Sevika & Jinx combination, random people off the street inspired by Jinx. Even in Piltover, when people are sure Ambessa's forces aren't listening, Zaun's resistance is spoken of in terms of approval and respect as well as fear (for Jinx's attacks frequently kill Piltover civilians too). Zaun is free and Piltover is not.
And then the timeskip; maybe Act 2 is the other characters attempting to team up to oppose Ambessa in a more coordinated way. (Maybe Jayce comes out of his coma, to find that Viktor has been driven away back to Zaun and become the Machine Herald, and his only ally is Caitlyn). This proves... complicated.

Thank God splatoon 3 didn't end up introducing a playable cuttlefish dlc like I feared last year (I honestly don't think we need more new playable species, would've been too sudden, my expectations were on the floor after rotm) but the cuttlefish visuals are still so suspicious to me. This hat has to be on purpose. That's absolutely not a fucking squid or octopus
And this is undeniably a cuttlefish (and the double fin shape resembles the hat)
Like how the lack of mammals in the splatoon world and ark Polaris was something suspicious in the previous games, and characters like marigold and Glen fiddler and lil judd are suspicious now.... It's way more subtle but I think this could be the splatoon team planting some seeds in case they decide to introduce cuttlefish as a separate species in the splatoon world. ill be keeping it in the back of my mind

I do keep coming back to the thought that there is no reason to have stopped to see Astrid before going to Aeor if the point wasn't to try to recruit her for chaperone duties. It doesn't exactly seem like she's with the Vanguard or she wouldn't be hiding in a smut shop in Zadash.
Please, Astrid, come to Aeor with us. You can take potshots at your ex's new boyfriend the whole time. And he can't even say shit about it, because he's the one who invited you.

So in replies to this I've made I think some big brain connections?? The constant associations with the sun and Louis is really working and gelling in my brain especially with the finale moments of s2.
The 'sun king' thing is very reminiscent of the actual sun king of history Louis xiv, and the way he constructed his daily life like it was theatre. The way meals are served the way they are, and everything feels very rehearsed and scheduled. The fact said historical figure lived for 77 years, as did his relationship with Armand. He's not this historical figure though - hint budge wink nod, he cant be the ones Armand wants him to be, including the same Louis he used to love - he's our Louis. And he's not been allowed to fully be himself in this environment where it's been largely fake and manipulative. (Again to the point of Louis XIV, the theatrics were established to protect him and make it plainly aware of his position as king. But there was a common conception that whoever was closest to the king - typically the king's mistress. Controlled the king. You can probably catch what I'm laying down here.)
Just also the way that when he fully has himself he has the sun, because he just is the sun in a metaphorical sense. Arriving to himself he now the light at the end of this tunnel of darkness. The literal sun still holds a deadliness to him, but it holds no power over him to walk into anymore. He doesn't miss it. If he feels an inclination to it at all it's only to prove a point. He's at a place by the end of this that he doesn't need anyone but himself, and knows it, and can finally be free from control over his person.
There's other associations with it too, like taking up photography. A medium reliant on light to do. How that doesn't pan out for him, but what does is documenting. Him, taking on a path to document, to bring about the light - the truth - hidden in the image of his memories. It's through light that he can be destroyed but it's through light that he reconciles with himself and becomes whole.
The night is all his, because he's mastered the light. He owns it.

I'm trying to write a big prediction post, but the crazy thing is I've been right about most of it so far except the timing of things, so I'm a little bit frightened

Luka is very good at keeping himself composed on stage, mostly with the help of maintaining track of his heart rate, but during Mizi's attack in ROMH he seemed to slip up, not only was the red background a tell-tale sign of Mizi's violent intentions but it was a more symbolic way of showing Luka in quite visceral fear. Even if for only a second.
I'm not convinced Luka will be as continuously calculated as he normally comes off, it all seems too fake to me. Because it is. It’s a similar case to Ivan who can't feel, isn't normal, isn't human enough so he makes a persona to blend in. So Luka, whoever he is, makes this version of himself to cope with what he has to live through, pretending like he's on top of it all to survive in this world.
So in round 7, I think something drastic will happen to make him 'snap' in a way.
It's safe to say that we don't know Luka. We don't know who he really is. We don't know his real desires. But we do know one thing--he is scared. he is afraid of the aliens. That's why he appeases them--being their trophy. He's only kept around for his purpose as an entertainer and nothing else and he's very aware of that. He knows very well that a dented trophy will be discarded; with that mindset, he's been able to get so far, and he's scared of losing. That's why he holds any little thing he can get his hands on close. And an important extension of that fear is his fear of losing power.
Till should be the more likely in this position, given he's such a rebel. But isn't that just too predictable? Keep in mind, that Till is a strong person. Even after all he's been through, even after he's been beaten into something more manageable for the aliens--He still hasn't lost his spark. Till is a raging storm. subdued but nonetheless a force to be reckoned with.
Round 6's effect on Till is greatly ambiguous for now but at this point when the time for round 7 comes, Till has been put through so much hell. Whatever Luka does to provoke him probably won't work, he and Luka are equally talented individuals and will make for an intense battle, and at the end of the day, the numbers won't lie. Exactly that is what Luka is ready for but scared of--a worthy opponent for the throne. Someone capable of stripping him of his power. (Is fear what makes Luka so dismissive?)
It would be so aggravating that this 'pest'. who is so indignant, so rebellious (in a way Luka envies.), could so easily destroy everything Luka has worked for, disregard every pain Luka has been through to get to this point, and Till doesn't value this throne as much as Luka does, and Luka doesn't want to feel the pain of death anymore. If his facade is as destructible as I think it is, that will be what ultimately brings out Luka.
This idea may be flawed. Luka is so perfect, too perfect and confident and experienced for something as little as that to break him, just think of all the training Luka went through to get to this point. I'm positive he's very aware of what playing unfairly will lead to. But isn't there always room for a wild card?
Just remember what happened to Hyun-woo.
What happened here isn't fully explained (and probably will be in round 7) but imagine Luka: "Trophy child, goody two shoes" Luka possibly killing another human. Whether by accident or not, what happened?--what and how did Luka feel in the moment for the repercussions of whatever happened to be that bad?
A Luka that is secretly greatly insecure, pliable, and defensive enough that in a spur of emotions, he can’t help but lose his cool in a way he hasn’t in a while because he’s afraid—just to try and prove he is still valuable. That is the type of character I theorize we'll come to see in round 7.
