i know good omens isn't that kind of a hardcore religious fiction show, but i would actually kill to see "in the beginning" scene with our angels in their biblically accurate forms. aziraphale as a principality/cherubim and angel!crowley as a seraphim/dominion/throne, with david and michael on the voiceover dialogue and the special effects team doing the stylised 3D animation. it would give so much depth and context to their human performances, you could never forget what they really are. it'd be a spiritual experience. and also, done right, the most hauntingly beautiful thing i'd ever see on screen

can you just imagine those ethereal eldritch horrors at the edge of the universe going look at you, you're gorgeous and beaming at each other. can you imagine crowley's thousands of eyes crinkling with delight, his rings of power moving like gearshifts, 6-pairs-or-so wings fluttering in excitement almost knocking aziraphale's form over. and aziraphale gazing up on him like he's not only hung up the stars, but like he outshines all of them. i just. god.

i was thinking about the different time periods that aziraphale and crowley went through and i thought that it would be interesting to imagine them when they first got to Earth. like how did they act? did they immediately know what to do? yeah silly thought

So I just had a thought that I wanted you guys' thoughts on because my brain hurt me with this so you all remember s1e1 when Aziraphale and Crowley are sitting on that bench when Crowley first asks him to help with the Antichrist and everything, and Aziraphale says, about Armageddon: "we are going to win, of course, it's all going to be rather lovely"

WHAT. EXACTLY.

does he think would happen to Crowley if Heaven won the final battle???

Because I am having a hard time believing that he isn't perfectly aware of the suffering that would ultimately bring Crowley, and that he can hold that thought in his mind at the same time as thinking that it would all be Rather Lovely.

certainly not in the way Aziraphale's used to, a sunshine warm unexpected delight. there are no flashes of love from places or people falling and grieving and caring too much. it took him a while, but ever since he can tell the difference it's like forgetting how to breathe, can't stop the wheeze. within the air occupied by the angels (their chests don't move, do their hearts have a rhythm?) a wrong-shaped, lost cabin pressure meets him halfway, only they don't hang masks from that ceiling, he's looking down at the aeroplanes. he could always breathe easier with - red and black at the periphery - yellow too, if he's lucky. (he's not anymore)

The only thing ineffable bureaucracy showed me is how hyper focused this fanbase is at seeing one thing and one thing only and everything else is a result of that one thing

1) no, Beelzebub and Gabriel are not a straight couple. Nor is Crowley and Aziraphale a gay couple. Stop the non-binary erasure or go outside and talk to an actual non-binary person cuz clearly you have no clue what non-binary is "they're straight presenting" wtf? If you think that please give me your name so I can block you. Cis people, I fucking swear.

Reminder that Beelz used they/them pronouns btw. Sorry that Beelzebub doesn't "pass" for you, it doesn't make them any less non-binary. Not to mention it was stated and already IS CANON that none of them have genders. They're god damn demons and angels, bruh.

2) "it's Gabriel's and Beelz's fault that ineffable husbands didn't get their happy ending": no. It's their own damn fault for not communicating and Aziraphale's inability to accept Crowley as he is. Gabriel and Beelzebub put each other first. Y'all sound salty as hell cuz two people managed to work their relationship out and yours didn't work out. "But if they didn't get together---" y'all really saying shit like this??? Do you hear yourself? That's so sad. Wishing for the doom of one LGBTQ+ ship cuz the other fucked themselves over. THEY CAN BOTH CO-EXIST. And you know what? They will. Cuz Ineffable husbands is clearly canon, the story just wants time with them cuz they're the main characters, not like Beelz and Gabriel who were side characters so had their story summarized.

3) "that should have been ineffable husbands" no, cuz Crowley and Aziraphale aren't Gabriel and Beelzebub. They're different characters with different backgrounds, personalities, relationship structure, and different relationship dynamic in general. They'll get together in a way that fits THEM. And that way requires ups and downs that makes them finally understand that they're perfect for each other without the need for either of them to change.

4) Gabriel was such an asshole wish Crowley got his revenge and--- bla bla BLA : Crowley was happy for them. You hold a grudge over Gabriel that Crowley himself doesn't. Y'all worse than a literal demon. Smh.

Be happy for what we got and look forward to the future where ineffable husbands will certainly become canon and it'll be worth the wait. Don't tear down the LGBTQ+ presentation we got just cuz the main ship didn't get the limelight THIS TIME.

Let things cook, that's how writing WORKS.

I love both ships a lot but I'm not gonna hold pitchforks over one ship getting a happy end and one still developing. Come next season, that happy end for Gaberiel and Beelzebub might not last. We DONT KNOW. Do we really need to sacrifice one for the other? Why can't we be happy to have both?

Just really think the vibe of the fanbase rn fuckin SUCKS and I'm not enjoying trying to go through the ineffable bureaucracy tag and seeing people complaining about how it should have been ineffable husbands or how it's their fault.

No I mean but he says as much? Why is there people thinking that's not the reason? It's clearly shown throughout both seasons that he doesn't want anything to do with both Heaven and Hell. He has been clear more than once on this, he thinks they're both toxic and he wants to be on their own side, his and Aziraphale's.

This is very clear to me but please discuss it with me, I would love to see this other theories.

what if - and hear me out - the reason why Crowley didn't go to heaven is not that he thought Aziraphale didn't love him/wanted to change him, but is simply that he just didn't want to go back to heaven.

Oh, Aziraphale's heart always flutters when he sees you bounce around the bookshop with new book in your hands in an attempt to show him your new book or when you need him to reach something in a high place. He's always encouraged or praised you whenever you're feeling a bit down.

-But squealing like a fan girl silently when you try to reach his hands for comfort or just want to play his hands

-Back to Crowley, he always picks you up and kisses your cheek or lips or forehead while you struggle to release yourself from his hold. You look like a koala looking at the way you are clinging to him with your legs dangling on his waist. He doesn't mind as he finds it quite adorable.

-Crowley is not that type of person? demons? who shows PDA in public but when it comes to you holding his hands when walking together in the park he openly lets you hold his hands.

-While Aziraphale is the opposite, he is often the first person to seek your hands. He likes to play with your hands or just compared how big his hands are with yours. Often caresses your hand without realizing it whenever he holds your hand.

-When it comes to sleep, you are the middle person who will be embraced by both celestials. Them being big on the bed will embrace you with their arms making you look small between them.

-Crowley mostly the one who will hug your stomach while Aziraphale is the one who will hug you and Crowley, showing that he is a cuddle person in this relationship.

-Overall, they are good husbands
