We finally got to the comic that actually made me think about this AU in the first place. After I was mulling around the idea of Loop looking like Siffrin the whole time, I realised that the conversation of "who or what do you think I am?" doesn't apply anymore. But you know what would?

The question of why Loop is even here in the first place. Because while it's nice to have another you around to help you out of the loops, isn't it weird that they're even here? Who sent them?

Rough, rough week.

I’ve been grappling with a total sense of lack of motivation: not wanting to go to school, not wanting to study, not wanting to do anything at all, really. My friends have been trying to drag me out of it, and I’m so thankful that they’re here.

I think a big reason behind it is that I’m burnt out. I have too many extracurriculars on top of my already large workload for school, and I’m not coping very well.

But I’m slowly making my way through it. And all I could do right now is to take it easy and try to see the light on the other end.

Hello everyone.

I'm going to try very hard to only post about Good Omens after today. I'm scared, I'm sick, and I feel completely confused and lost. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way and I wish I had more reassuring things to say. For now, we have to take it one day at a time, that's all we can do. I can catastrophize all day long but we don't know how things will go day to day.

did anyone else see the "I suffered, why shouldn't they?" - "I suffered and I'll do my best to help people because of it" with jason & cass respectively on twitter. did anyone else laugh because a) the first is NOT jason, b) the second is cass and 99.9% of heroes in the dcu, and is such a bland explanation of her unique motivations. "she wants to save people" no duh? but through saving people she felt a connection to people equal to & stronger than the one she felt when she killed a man and becoming batgirl gave her an identity and she gained a family and a name even outside of batgirl and she felt like she was atoning by risking her life to save others' (and didnt think it was adequate and had to go on and on until she died in service of The Mission). all you've got is "cass good, jason bad xoxo" is that as far as your analysis can go.

roleplay safety tools

in light of some of the recent issues regarding communication and how we treat each other, i thought i'd link you all to some important safety tools you can use on here or discord when roleplaying. these were originally made with TTRPG in mind, but i find most, if not all, are equally as applicable to online roleplay.

i want this to be the year we become more direct in our boundaries and communication with one another in order to prevent issues from happening. under NO circumstances should we be bullying and harassing people (especially minors holy shit you people) for accidentally violating boundaries they weren't previously aware of, and it is a community responsibility to check in with each other and be aware of the hard lines we draw topics-wise.

☕️ for those who need a little escape during these holidays…

you sit quietly near the fire in your fireplace with a blanket draped across your lap, holding your hands out for warmth. the winter air outside dealt a bitter cold, but in here, the wood crackles and pops to life, and the smoky scent wafts through the room, mingling with the smell of warm pastries being baked in the oven. it’s cozy and peaceful, but maybe just a touch lonely… luckily, the clinking of silverware in the kitchen nearby assures you that you’re not alone.

your f/o soon emerges with two mugs of hot cocoa in tow, plus a plate stacked high with freshly baked buns. they hand you a mug— your favorite one!— while they snuggle up under the blanket with you. the contents of the mug are deliciously photogenic: topped with a healthy serving of whipped cream, a handful of marshmallows, and garnished with a dusting of cinnamon sugar. do they always make them this good, or is this a pleasant surprise given their usual cooking skillset?

as you get comfortable together, you hold the cup to your lips and let the steam warm the tip of your nose. finally, you give it a taste; rich, smooth, and creamy, it’s just as tasty as it looks. you compliment it with a bite of a warm bun, which has some of your favorite sweet flavors infused in the dough. you can’t help but smile as you continue to sip, knowing your partner put all that effort into making you the perfect mug of hot cocoa that just hits the spot, along with a sweet pastry that fills you with immense solace and pleasure.

you feel a warmth settle in your chest, from the drink, the baked goods, the fire, and the presence of your beloved next to you. the two of you entertain each other over your snacks: talking, laughing, getting whipped cream on each other’s noses. once the mugs are empty, you hold each other as you watch the fire begin to ease. you close your eyes and bask in it; just you and them, in each other’s arms, the only sound coming from the cracks of the logs in the hearth.

here, it’s quiet. here, it’s peaceful. here, nothing can hurt you. you’re safe, and you’re okay. they’ll never let you go.

Give yourself time.

I know it feels scary to think you might be losing the part of yourself that was passionate about what you loved. I've been there. It DOES get better. It's just not something you can force.

"You can't pour from an empty cup". Give yourself time to recharge. Give yourself permission to rest. You'll get there.

Like the ever changing seasons, you're just in your winter rest right now. Nothing and no one can be productive all the time. Even the trees need time to replenish themselves.
