Are you a DCU fan upset about the events happening in Gaza? Want to help raise money for Palestinians and contribute to the creation of more DCU fanworks? Then this is the event for you!

DCU Commissions for Palestine is a fan-led event inspired by many other successful fandom events that have raised money for Palestinians causes. This event will bring together fan artists and writers who will offer fanworks in exchange for donations.

Creator signups: July 1-15

Commissions open: July 20-August 10

Posting begins: August 17

We will be looking for DCU fan artists and writers. Any part of the DCU fandom is welcome- even crossovers!

Rules will be explained when we post the creator signup forms. Want to help in the meantime? Follow this account, reblog this post, and spread the word to all the DCU fans in your life! We are also currently accepting volunteers who want to help run/promote the event, and any physical item donations (DCU physical fanart, merch, comics, etc.). If you want to help run or promote the event or donate a physical item, just shoot us a message and we will be happy to provide you with more information! And of course, you do not need to wait for the event to support Palestine. The situation in Gaza grows more dire every day, and we encourage you to donate to any vetted fundraisers and charities if you have the means. Here is a list with some options.

trans woman in African refugee camp needs your help!

hi everyone, I'd like to help get some attention on a fundraiser that was brought to me.

@fbkakebezijasenta is a trans woman living in a refugee camp in Africa, in very bad conditions. she's without food or shelter. she needs medication to help treat illness she's contracted as a result of this. she also has 2 small kittens she's caring for, and she fears for their safety due to the lack of food, and the people around her wanting to hurt them.

please donate to help her get the food, shelter, and medicine she needs. no amount is too small to make a difference.

An important announcement

As stated above, things went downhill with my living situation. Thankfully I have a place to sleep and I still have my computer and drawing tablet, so I'll work on properly setting up commissions and such. I appreciate all the love I've received so far from you guys!

I'm gonna remake this post so maybe it can gain some more traction.

Hi! I'm Sage, and my family and I are currently homeless. More urgently than being unhoused though is that we do not have a working vehicle and reliable transportation to and from work.

I don't have a particular goal for this post beyond asking that if you've ever enjoyed my blog or just want to help me out being able to afford Ubers to and from work until we can get a working car (or donate towards my housing fund or let me feed my pets)

Edit: My older sister and mom managed to trade in our three non running vehicles and get a new car. So now that we have that situation squared away, please feel free to follow the links below to donate so I can maybe house my family and pets and stop living in a motel (and probably help afford the $700 a month car payment we got stuck in because none of us have good credit after maxing out cards this summer to keep up with room paynents while my mother was out of work and my siblings were having their hours cut)

My sister has a heart condition that we've only been able to get an EKG for so far. My mom is babying her because her heart keeps stopping for seconds at a time; she does have severe anemia but unfortunately her heart is a separate matter from that that we have found. We need money to help get her back to the cardiologist for further testing to see where to go from here and for possible procedures.

While taking care of my sister, my mother is in need of emergency procedures on BOTH of her legs. In 2022 she had broken her leg from the knee down and we had not realized that the arteries in her left leg were damaged by the surgery done to save her leg. Her right leg is suffering from MRSA which she has been battling for the past few years now but my Step-Father (dare I call him that) who has been wholly abusive has cut my mother off financially so she cannot afford any medical care for her nor my sister, Maddie. My mother is unable to work so she's been tied to this man financially for years now and he's now taking the advantage to further worsen my mother and sister's health. Please, if you can share this at the least, I would be so forever grateful to you guys. We've raised $350 so far and all donations will solely go to medical bills and procedures that are needed. I'm a PhD student at Falmouth University and I'm writing my dissertation/thesis on queer Ghost fandom on tumblr.

my study aims to explore queer fan participation on Ghost Tumblr through discourse/textual analysis of Tumblr posts, links to academic subcultural theories, and the experiences of myself and others in the fandom.

interviewing Ghost fans will help make sure I “get it right” - this dissertation is our project, not just my project.  

I'd like to invite you to take part in my research by participating in an online interview, over tumblr chat. you will be kept completely anonymous.

Thanks for checking out my autobiographical comic, External Memory! I update twice a week on tumblr and once a day on my patreon (you can join the comic tier for just 3 euro!) What's it about? I make comics about anything and everything I want to remember, so mostly it's about myself, my girlfriend, gayness and the ups and downs of disabled life.
