One character I really really hope they expand upon in Arcane once we get to Noxus is Annie.

Cause not only would it be hilarious to watch Mel get dragged around by a kid she stumbled into who’s got a reputation for being a bit too happy to set people on fire (but sticking around to learn more about being a mage.)

But also because I’m desperate to see how the company who turned jinx from hatsune miku in a Harley Quinn cosplay into one of my favourite characters ever would handle a very similar but much younger character.

She’s essentially powder immediately post incident if Silco never showed up. And that set up is dripping with potential.

There is one issue however. A big major elephant in the room anytime they want to include Annie in anything.

Her design is objectively kinda awful.

This doesn’t look like a feral child roaming noxus, fleecing people for food and clothes before burning them to the bone.

This doesn’t look like a girl who accidentally killed her sister and father before intentionally killing her stepmother.

She doesn’t even look like she belongs in league of legends let alone Noxus!

She looks… easy to cosplay. In the most derogatory way you can take that.

And I’m genuinely not sure how you could fix her design without entirely losing what makes her look like… well herself.

But if anyone can? It’s the amazing artists at studio fortiche.

how much tism do you have? well episode 4 season 2 of Arcane, the bug fight? yeah the music there is the motif of the LoL Worlds 2018 Anthem: Rise, I stopped watching the episode to spent 20 minutes trying to isolate the track from a recording because I cant find it on the ost list, to make sure I wasnt going insane. yup their the same. I recognized it immediately :)

Christian Linke really said "Visually, we are exploring the different directions even more. We lean a little more into the abstract, into the dark, but also into the comic." and "In general, it was simply difficult to capture the creative ideas of the story visually. That may not be a satisfactory answer, but you'll understand once you've seen it."

And I for one cannot wait to see in what creatively insane and abstract ways they'll depict plot points such as Viktor's decent into magic-fuelled cult-leadership and Ekko tearing a hole into space-time.

And don't get me started on Warwick's spookiness and the upcoming depictions of Vi's and Jinx's deteriorating mental states which will probably also receive even more visually stunning upgrades and I can't! The show will make me go permanently blind with how cool and artsy the animation is gonna be.
