Event Info

WHUMPTOBER is a month-long, prompt-based creation challenge (think: Inktober, but whumpier). There are 31 Official themes this year - one for each day of the month - which can be used, skipped, or combined in any way you’d like. They are meant to serve as inspiration without being taken literally (e.g. you don't have to include the exact wording into your work). Additionally, there are 3 prompts for each theme. These are optional suggestions and can be used in conjunction with the theme, or as options/alternatives. We want to give everyone as much creative freedom as possible, as well as increase event accessibility for folks with triggers and squicks.

Creators can PRODUCE work in any media they choose, including but not limited to: writing, visual artwork, and photo/video/audio edits. Creators can PARTICIPATE as much or as little as they want (i.e. you don’t have to do ALL the prompts if you don’t want to) and prompts can be used in any order. They are also free to use even after the event ends.

When uploading Whumptober content to your blog, be sure to tag the with:

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of participants in recent years, we cannot guarantee your work will be archived. A random selection of properly tagged posts from all genres will be reblogged each day.

Whumpers who produce content for 31 total theme days are considered event completionists and will be tagged in a masterpost at the end of the month.

Q. What kind of content can I make? Can it be NSFW?

This is a MIXED MEDIA event! You can write fic, post meta, doodle or paint, create a gif set or photo edit, link a song, or get crafty with video - anything goes. As for NSFW, make what you like, we just hope that you’ll tag your work accordingly so that others participating in the event can stay safe :)

Q. Do I have to do all 31 Days? Can I post early/late?

Participate as much or little as you like, and post whenever! Just be sure to tag your posts properly (ex. #no.11, #psych101). Combining prompts into one piece of work is okay, and posting late is as well so as long as it’s in October.

Q. What if I don’t understand a theme?

Send us an ask! We’re happy to help clarify. That said, the themes are entirely up for interpretation :)

Q. Can I combine Whumptober with other creation challenges?

Absolutely! That’s like shooting two whumpees with one bullet :)

Q. Can I upload/repost my whumptober content to other social media platforms?

Of course! We’ve created an AO3 Collection to archive any fics posted there. The archive can be accessed here. The blog is the official archive, so please respect the boundaries of any closeted whumpers in your social circle :)

Q. Can I use prompts to write a new chapter for an existing fic?

Yes

Q. An existing fic I am currently writing contains many of the Whumptober prompts, can I use it?

If you are actively writing this fic at the moment with the whumptober prompts in mind, yes. If it just conveniently checks the boxes, then please don’t. You can, however, add new chapters answering one or more of the prompts.

Q. What kind of characters can I write for?

Fandom characters, OC characters, human, furry, alien, cyborg, whoever you like.

Q. Can I use a prompt multiple times?

Yes, but it only counts once

Q. If I’m not comfortable with one day's prompts can I use a prompt of a different day as a substitute and still be a completionist?

Yes, but please do not use a specific prompt twice. We have also created an alternate prompts list that you can draw from [here].

Q. Where can I post my work?

Post where and how you want. You don’t even have to (cross)post it to Tumblr. Just keep in mind if it’s not on Tumblr we will not be able to add it to the blog archive.

Q. Can I start posting early?

You can, but this is an October event and wouldn’t it be more fun with everyone doing it at the same time? That being said, you can post early, but we won’t be reblogging any work predating October 1st.

Q. Do I have to finish a fic I started/can I post WIP’s.?

Yes you can post WIPs. And you’re not obligated to finish it in October for it to count towards being a completionist.

Q. Is co-writing allowed?

Yes, absolutely, and it would count towards being a completionist for both/all of you :)

Q. Do I have to create 31 standalone pieces to be considered a completionist or can I write one continuous story?

One continuous story is fine. The challenge is to write something for 31 prompts. If that’s spread over 31 fics or just one, you are still considered a completionist. (The same goes for every other media you choose.)

Q. Is there a min/max limit on word count?

There is no limit

Q. Can I combine prompts? Is there a limit on how many?

No limit and combine as many as you’d like.

Q. My interpretation of the prompt isn't whumpy at all, does that count?

No, sorry, but keep in mind that whump [see definition] is something very nuanced and different for everyone and emotional whump/angst is just as much part of it, as is physical whump and torture. So before you dismiss your idea, think about this.

Q. Can I start working on the prompts before October?

Absolutely! That’s why we posted the prompts a month in advance. We recognise how difficult it can be creating for 31 days in “real time”.

DRAMAtical Murder Masterpost type thing (Links to buy things and a general introduction to what DMMd is)

So... since information on DRAMAtical Murder tends to be scattered and/or outdated, I'm making this. It's not necessarily needed, but hopefully it'll help someone, and it'll also satisfy my weird need to archive and compile things(?) lol. This will cover what DRAMAtical Murder even is, to how to play/purchase the game, to other links + resources for existing fans. This is mainly just… links to purchase things. So many links. If you have any suggestions, additions, or if something is incorrect, please let me know! If you have any questions at all, feel free to send me an ask or message- I will answer as best I can. A note about the links- links to sites where the item is unavailable are not included here. So there were other sites where things could be purchased, but are now not available, so I excluded them. I tried my best to check that all items were still available to purchase and that they were also official links (Although some of them I kind of couldn’t tell). Firstly...

What is DRAMAtical Murder?

DRAMAtical Murder (DMMd) is an r18 Boys Love Visual novel created by Nitro+CHiRAL back in 2012. It has 4 character routes, with a 5th unlockable one. All the routes have 2 endings each, a good and bad ending- with the exception of 1 who has multiple bad endings (Noiz). There was a sequel/fandisc released in 2013 with DRAMAtical Murder re:connect, a SFW PS Vita port in 2014 with DRAMAtical Murder re:code (with the explicit content cut out and an extra route added), and an Anime adaptation in the same year. There was also a stage play adaptation in late 2019. There was a fanmade translation patch released for DMMd and DMMd re:connect on AarinFantasy forums, which is how many fans experienced the game in English. It was only in recent years that DMMd, and other Nitro+CHiRAL games would get an offical English translation by JAST BLUE. Nitro+CHiRAL has released other BL games, with Togainu no Chi, Lamento, and Sweet Pool. Their most recent release is Slow Damage, which will be getting an offical English release as well. I encourage you to support and purchase the official release if you are able to. As the game is now out officially in English, there will be no links or etc to the patch in this post.

Here is one plot summary (Technically from the Anime but the other ones I found were google translate quality); The story takes place many years in the future where the game "Rhyme," a virtual fighting game, is incredibly popular and people possess "AllMates," convenient AI computers. Aoba leads an ordinary life, working at a junk shop and living with his grandmother on the island of Midorijima. Unlike his friends, he doesn't participate in Rhyme, nor does he belong in a gang. However, when rumors of people disappearing spread, Aoba finds himself needing to unravel the mysteries behind the island in order to protect his everyday life. So, basically, DMMd is a BL Visual novel. Like all Nitro+CHiRAL games, DMMd contains content some may find triggering- just as a small warning. Otherwise, and this is coming from a huge fan- I personally think DMMd is amazing. The characters are wonderful, their backstories are unique and makes them feel fleshed out and give the DMMd world more life, in a way- the music is incredible and really… there is nothing quite like DMMd, it's so wonderfully strange and great. I promise you it's so much more than just the explicit stuff. ...But again that's just me. Not everyone will like it and even some fans will not see it the same way I do, but anyway.

How can I play the game?

For the Japanese version; There are two versions of DMMd; the original, and the Windows 10 version. The original isn't sold anymore to my knowledge, however that version should still work on Windows 10. Please note you will need to set your system Locale to Japanese or use something like Locale Emulator/NTLEA to play the game, or it will not work. Setting your actual system Locale to Japanese may cause problems, so keep this in mind. What about DRAMAtical Murder re:connect?

re:connect is the fandisc/sequel to the original. It has mainly the short stories that add to the original endings, both good and bad. It also has more stories that can be unlocked like Aoba’s backstory, and what happened afterwards with Mizuki. It also includes minigames and the April Fools jokes N+C did before re:connect was released. JAST BLUE has not confirmed a translation will happen for re:connect, but there is still the fan translation released on Aarinfantasy forums. If there is any news on JAST BLUE and re:connect, I will update this post. As said before, there is no Windows 10 version of re:connect, although it should work fine on Windows 10 regardless. re:code is the PS Vita port of the original PC release. It cuts out the explicit content, censors some CGs for a 15+ rating, adds new CGs and even some new scenes, and adds an entirely new route; the Morphine route, aka the Mizuki route. re:code also addressed some plot-holes that were in the original. The drama CDs

There have been various drama CDs for DMMd. The drama CDs (or in this case, BLCD) is essentially the same as the Visual novel, except it’s purely audio. The same voice actors from the VN are in the drama CDs. The bonus CDs; Some of the CDs were included as a special pre-order bonus, with different CDs from different sites. I’m unsure if these are able to be purchased anymore, unless it’s second-hand. The Side stories

There were various side stories as well, most of them being posted onto the Nitro+CHiRAL staff blog, but there was also a small book released. If they hadn't already been dating, he was sure this silly game of improv would have set the crush he already had for him aflame.

“Please..” Roman continued, his voice growing softer, causing Patton's heart to skip a beat. “Say you'll run away with me. I'll shirk my throne and title for you. But my love.. I couldn't continue on without you.”

Virgil stepped out of the kitchen alongside Logan, and the two of them took up positions on either side of the doorway. Virgil cast his gaze up towards Logan who hid a smile behind his coffee mug.

Logan glanced down at Virgil's slouched posture, raising his eyebrows slightly. Patton whipped around, his eyes wide as he stared at the two.

“I-I..”

“Honestly,” Virgil continued. “what would people think? How could you escape knowing what you've done?”

“Silence!” Roman cried, pointing an accusatory finger at him. “You deny your own duties as the second son, for him! You believe father would approve of your union with his own royal advisor?”

Logan choked a bit on his coffee, tilting his head curiously. “Royal advisor?”

“The castle walls are not as thick as you believe them to be, brother, your nightly trysts haven't gone unnoticed by the staff.”

Virgil took a faltering step back, scowling at the blush that rose to his cheeks. “W-wait.. what?”

Roman's eyes widened a fraction of an inch. That wasn't the reaction he was expecting. A snide comment or a haughty laugh maybe, but surprise? Maybe he was closer with Logan than he and Patton realized. Still, they couldn't both be caught off guard.

“Did you think no one would notice?” He asked, dropping his arm and taking a step forward, his gaze turning to Logan. “Did you think those stolen glances and hidden smiles were really that secret?”

Logan slowly brought his coffee cup down from his lips. “I, uh..” He wasn't good at improv, and he certainly wasn't expecting to be roped into this.

“Surely you're mistaken... I take my position very seriously. I swear, my.. prince.. I wouldn't betray your father's trust by becoming romantically involved with any of his sons. I'm well aware of the grave punishment that would await me if I did.”

“Death.” Roman hissed, his tone low and menacing. “The punishment that awaits such insubordination is death.”

Roman took a few steps towards Logan his posture low and his prowl menacing, as he flashed a cruel smile. “So it would appear neither of us has any room to speak on unions that may be seen as.. indecorous, hmm..?”

Patton and Virgil exchanged a glance. It was unsettling how similar Roman could look and sound to someone the two of them knew from their past. Patton shot Virgil a worried glance, the other nodded gently in return. As silly as all of this was, even Logan couldn't help but raise his eyebrow some at the change. That reaction was more than plenty enough for Virgil. He made an act of sighing heavily.

“Fine. We know when we've you won. We won't push anymore. But you'll still have trouble on your hands.”

“As will you.” Roman turned to Virgil before flashing Patton brilliant smile. “But love is worth it sometimes, isn't it?”

Patton blushed softly, but smiled widely in return raising his arms in the air. “Aannd scene! Thanks for playing along you guys! Roman, such an interesting twist on your hero! Your writing really has gotten more complex.

Roman beamed, taking a theatrical bow. “I do try!”

Logan cleared his throat adjusting his tie. “Agreed, that was a display of emotion that I haven't commonly seen from you, Roman. Good job. Your theatrical love declarations seemed particularly spirited today, any specific reason?”

Roman and Patton exchanged a glance, and Virgil caught Logan shift his frames subtly, as he crossed his arms. It was an inconspicuous way of declaring his victory, and Virgil couldn't help but roll his eyes at it.

“Actually! Patty Cake and I couldn't help but be inspired by you, Logan!”

Virgil blinked back his initial shock, glancing towards Patton for clarification.

“We couldn't help but notice how enraptured the two of you seemed to be for one another, so we tried our hand at imitating such a loving relationship. It went perfectly! You two are so cute together after all.”

Virgil tugged on his bangs, pulling his hands further into his sweatshirt sleeves as he sighed. Patton squealed excitingly, clinging to Roman's arm.

“I know what that means! It's true! I can't believe it, you were right, hun! They are dating!”

Roman winked, wrapping an arm around Patton's waist. “Of course I was right, Logan makes it incredibly obvious, sometimes.”

Logan frowned setting his coffee mug down on a side table. “Wait. What is exactly is going on here? You two are already dating?”

“Preposterous.” Logan sighed, snatching up his cup and retreating to the kitchen.

Addressing Recent Discourse

My apologies to mobile users for the length of this post.

These are the statements I’ll be addressing:

“Politics is not above metaphysics.”

You don’t just send it out into the world and hope its self-sufficient enough to keep the energy going. Go back and re-work it, keep adding your energy to it, work on it everyday and dedicate yourself to its success.”

“The physical realm, first of all, is comprised of matter, and matter is just condensed energy. Our spirits are partially contained within condensed energy casings which we tend to call our “selves” or our bodies.”

Because what you’re saying here is that you believe magick is about tricking your subconscious to believe in your ability to control an outcome or situation without any tangible results. So explain it to me. What are you doing in your practice where you think that magick doesn’t apply to the physical realm? Because I am trying to understand this right now. You have all of these followers and listeners looking to you for advice and guidance, and you’re telling them that witchcraft isn’t going to change anything for them. It can’t even change a fucking word. A word.”

These are my responses:

I disagree. The fact that we disagree does not matter at all since we practice witchcraft separately and neither of us are trying to dictate the other’s actual craft. But I will share why I believe an individual or small group cannot use magick to influence politics in responses #5 & #6.

True and correct. I gave my advice due to the converse reason. It wasn’t “this won’t work because I said so.” What I intended to say was “I don’t suggest it because I don’t think it‘s effective because of how I understand magick to work.” But anyone who disagrees is free to ignore me.

Very good advice for every witch regarding any spell. However, you contradict yourself later to say that you can’t successfully influence everyone who votes. At this point it doesn’t mater to me what your stance is on that

True. Everything is composed of matter. Everything is composed of and radiates energy. Our bodies/vessels/shells/casings are included in that.

I don’t appreciate boiling down an entire social structure into “a word” because you can do that to anything. Justice is just a word. Equal is just a word. Dictator is just a word. But they hold meaning and it is important to attach the idea to the word. Otherwise our whole language and society is useless and left without structure. I’m confused because you kind of contradict yourself by saying politics is just a word but it’s also about people. I agree that politics is about people. It’s primarily about the government system and the people who make up the government, along with the citizens affected. The Ask in question asked about influencing the outcome of elections. You can do that by either A) forcing the majority to vote a certain way B) rigging the elections through voting machines or government officials C) causing the government to override the popular vote. We as citizens can’t do a single one of these physically. Because the government holds too much power over citizens. It’s not a fair or completely logical system due to the amount of corruption within the world of politics. You can’t fix corruption with magick. You can’t cure greed or malice or spite through magick. You can’t cure politicians. The same way you can’t turn me into a (insert opposing political party here) with a spell, you can’t change the minds of politicians with a spell from an individual. We can barely do it through individual physical actions. You would need a LOT of support.

I agree wholeheartedly and is the major reason why I feel politics cannot be influenced by magick. Politics = government = many many many individuals, corrupt individuals. You can’t harness enough energy to make a noticeable change amongst ALL these people. You would need a whole nation of citizens to do that. And at that point, if you have that kind of support, why rely on magick! Just take political action. Also I’d like to point out that politics should be taken very seriously at this time across all nations and we should be doing as much as we can to make a change for the better. Magick is a passive act when it comes to politics. We need to be ACTIVE. Casting spells won’t hurt but it’s just not enough. I will always stand by this.

There’s a lot to unpack here. A) Agree to disagree. In theory you could target your intentions at a specific politician, but if you don’t have a taglock for them or have never met them or had contact with them, it decreases the possibility for it to be effective. Not impossible!! But less likely B) I said “magick doesn’t work in the physical realm” and that is entirely different than “it doesn’t affect the physical realm.” We only know that our magick was successful when it manifests and does affect the physical world! What I meant by my original phrase is that the process of magick, sending out your desires into the universe in the hopes that they manifest, is done energetically with the use of physical tools and our vessels (physical bodies). We can’t SEE magick. We can only physically see our actions and hopefully our results. It’s exactly like electricity. We can’t see it! We can only see its physical manifestations (electronics, lightning, etc.) C) Again, it doesn’t affect our physical bodies. Just like vitamins, magick doesn’t miraculously cure our ailments. It can only aid in the process. You can cast a motivation spell to increase your productivity. If successful, you’ve affected your subconscious by giving it a goal to strive for. Your physical body will then follow as a result or effect. Your magick didn’t jump into the physical realm to eliminate your ADHD. It worked through your subconscious and energy. D) I don’t regret telling someone my advice. It wasn’t intended to be law. All advice should be taken with a grain of salt. The seeker of the advice is always free to do WHATEVER the fuck they want anyway. E) I see why not immediately supporting my statement was frustrating. But to be honest I just had better things to do first. I’m not as passionately invested in this as you. That might not be apparent by how long my responses have been, but that’s just because you added so many false annotations to my very short statements and mistook a lot of what i said. After this I am done. I’m confident that I’ve said everything I can on the matter.

To reiterate: I do wholeheartedly believe that magick renders results in the physical realm. It is the workings of the magick itself before results are seen that doesn’t take place in the physical realm. That’s the part that affects energy and the subconscious. Please do not misconstrue my words as strongly as you did anymore. I am simply driven by logic. I carry a healthy dose of skepticism with my in my craft to weed out what I find to be ineffective. However, my skepticism never becomes cynicism. I’m driven by logic and feel most comfortable practicing and sharing only what makes sense to me based on logical analysis. Sometimes disagreements happen. I don’t care. If I am asked for advice I will give it because I assume the seeker knows that I know I’m not God or think I’m preaching the Laws.

Things you should know before you follow this blog

This blog is inclusionist. I believe that all aromantics and asexuals belong in the LGBTQIA+ community. I’m also firmly against other exclusionary rhetoric that seeks to exclude any non-cishet (by which I mean non cisgender, heteromantic, AND heterosexual) group from the community.

This blog supports creative freedom and a safe fandom environment. I don’t care what kind of fiction people write/read or what they ship as long as all of their content is tagged properly and kept in appropriate spaces. While I think media criticism and having civil discussions about what we’re writing and reading and why is a good thing, I think the ‘anti’ community on tumblr totally crosses the line with their behavior which goes beyond legitimate media criticism and straight into cyberbullying and harassment.

This blog does not support radical feminism. Radical feminism is a harmful conservative movement that harms and attempts to control the lives of marginalized people. I do not support any form of radfem rhetoric.

This blog does not support trasnmedicalsim or truscum. These are groups that actively harm trans and nonbinary people by pushing reductionist, transphobic rhetoric and policing the identities of trans and nonbinary people.

This blog is queer positive. I will not censor the word queer or exclude queer people from this blog or the community.

General:

I’m AU, OC, crossover and multi-verse friendly and I’m open to many plot ideas. I’m happy if you DM me with any idea you have. I am Semi-Selective and we don’t have to be mutuals to interact. However, what I do look for in blogs is if the mun is 18+ due to the nature of Danganronpa and what the game is like. Also you should have a rules page, somewhere with your age and there will have to be some way our muses can interact.

Rules:

NSFW - While I am of age, 21+, I won’t be going into any smut related topics on the blog as it makes me feel uncomfortable. I will however go into triggering content from time to time which I will be sure to tag where I can. If I miss one, let me know!

No godmodding - this should go without saying but I’m putting it here anyway just in case. Doing this and making my character do things on your accord takes all the fun out of it! So please, don’t do this!

Give me time to reply - I try to reply as soon as I can. But if I don’t reply in a few days then I most likely need a break. If I reply to others and not you, then it means either I need a break from that thread or I haven’t got ideas for the time being. But I will always get around to it. Give me a week and then you can ping me a notification to drop me a reminder. It might usually take to a month or longer at times due to my motivation and uni work getting in the way but I will never drop anything without warning. If you continue to pester me for replies, I will softblock you.

IMs - never be afraid to hit me with a plot thread or just to talk OOC. I’m always for it, I’ll try to get to you as soon as but I may not always available so keep that in mind.

Dropping threads - It’s fine if you want to. I get it if you do but PLEASE tell me. I’m fine if you want to drop something, I get it but I’m a very nervous bean when it comes to asking about threads and will wait months before poking you, so please tell me if you dropped it or not or I will be nervous to approach you for that thread when we can go and do other things and it can take it off my mind.

Crossovers - Adding this to reassure people that I LOVE crossovers. If I feel comfortable with the fandom you’re in, I’m all for doing a crossover if I can find a way how to do it!

Spoilers - This blog will contain spoilers due to the use of canon characters and use of lore inside the media for their development.

Drama - I’m not getting involved in any drama, this blog is hate free and I won’t be made to pick a side. I want to keep this a safe space not only for myself but for others as well. This is a place I want to spread positivity and have fun with others, so please keep in mind that I don’t want to be involved in it.

Shipping - I am open to shipping but I would prefer discussion beforehand before we ship anyone. I like to develop ships in an rp or ooc but I still want the communication for the ship to happen.

I have muses from Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls but I have more rules that you must comply with in order to write with them for my comfort but also the fact the game is also highly triggering and I don’t want any of those themes present on my blog.

5. I will never do smut with them, while in my rules I’m uncomfortable with it, the kids are literally kids and underage and I will hardblock anyone who asks. Shipping is also kept to just between kids but it will only be little school like crushes and nothing serious as once again, they are kids.

OCs:

I am OC friendly but I do like to see a bio of your character before roleplaying with them. This is so I can see how they are and how I can work around this. It helps me figure out how I can integrate my muse into the situation but also determine if your muse is fit to roleplay with mine. As some things can clash too much. In a bio, I am not picky about what is in it as long as it has their personality and their backstory in detail.

My two main squicks are:

Needles - descriptions, photos, videos etc.

Bugs - any insect or bug (graphic descriptions or videos/pictures)

There may also be triggering things on my blog. I will do my best to tag them or put it under a ‘read more’ if I feel it could be badly triggering. If I forget to add a trigger in a tag, please let me know! This is so I would know not to repeat the mistake again since I want this to be fun for everyone.

At some point, I’d like to write a SuperPhantom fic (Supernatural/Danny Phantom crossover), but in the meantime, have a possible starting point from me. (Post The Ultimate Enemy for DP and sometime in the later seasons of SPN, but nothing with a more definitive time point than that yet.)

Visions: It was supposed to be over. Azazel was dead, and Sam hadn’t had a vision since. Not until he heard the girl’s pleas, at least, and found himself standing in the ruins of a residential neighbourhood.

“Help me, please.” It was a soft murmur, more a repeated prayer than even a tired plea at this point, but it carried easily in the eerie afternoon stillness.

Sam spun, looking for some sign of the girl. He could hear her voice readily enough, but he couldn’t—

“Please. Please, help me.”

The girl could be anywhere. The street Sam stood in looked like a bomb had gone off in the middle of it, but the collapsing buildings on either side, leaning in opposite directions, suggested the real target had been the former home—shop?—on the corner in front of him. It was more rubble than anything else, as much dust as brick, and it had its fair share of twisted metal that he assumed had once been supports. He could see a larger metal structure beyond, though its remains didn’t resemble anything he recognized.

A few feet away from him lay the remnants of some neon monstrosity, a sign that had once spelled something beginning with a giant green F, but despite that, it must have been someone’s house. From what Sam could see, this was a residential neighbourhood. Partial fences interlaced the remains of the buildings, and there was a bright snatch of fabric in the ruin of one home off to the right, a cheery remnant of life before the destruction.

But the closer he looked, the less it seemed like an explosion. There was no hint of a fire, no soot or lingering smell of smoke or acrid tang of chemicals. The buildings looked like they’d been pushed aside, crumbling like sandcastles swiped at by a child pretending to be a monster; it was more the work he’d expect to see from a tornado or a plough wind, but the damage wasn’t quite consistent with that, either. The worst of the damage seemed to be directly at ground level, and it wasn’t consistently strewn like it should be if wind were really the culprit.

Which meant, really, that he and Dean had every reason to be here, even if he couldn’t smell a whiff of sulphur.

“I’m sorry, Danny,” sobbed the girl. “I’m sorry. Just, please, help me.”

Sam started forward, picking his way through the rubble and trying to pinpoint the source of the girl’s voice. “Keep talking,” he called. “I’ll get you out of there.”

Silence, as if his presence had surprised her. Then, “No! Go away!”

Sam altered his course, aiming more off to the left now, toward what might have once been a garage based on its location but which now resembled a pile of broken concrete. “It’ll be okay. I’ll get you out of there. Just keep talking.”

He had no idea where Dean was. He couldn’t remember dropping his brother off at the local bar or getting dropped off to do some research at the library while Dean went to question people. Or maybe he’d gone to question people while Dean had checked into a motel?

It was unnerving, that knowledge gap, but it wasn’t important. Not right now. Not while someone’s life was on the line. If something shifted just the wrong way….

“It’ll be okay,” he repeated as he examined the rubble, trying to figure out how to move it safely. “You’ll be okay.”

The shriek came again, shriller this time, more desperate. “No, no! I’m sorry! Just go away!”

Sam felt the trembling ground before he really realized what he was hearing. He knelt to try to reassure the girl again—lie, most likely, but they were in the business of saving people, and this didn’t look natural—and the vibrations became stronger, rattling chunks of rock on the street and sending dust into the air as the rubble shifted. “Try to brace yourself,” he called, hoping such a thing was possible. “I’m going to get you out of there.”

The girl screamed again, a bloodcurdling screech Sam had heard too often before, and he was blinded by green light.

Sam jerked, breathing rapidly and suddenly realizing that the shaking, the rumbling—that was all normal. That was the car. He and Dean were on the road. The AC/DC screaming through the speakers might have been what had woken him up, but….

Wincing, Sam reached out and turned off the music. He had a splitting headache and was still blinking spots from his eyes after the brilliance of that flash. He needed to get his bearings. He needed—

“Hey, princess, just because you didn’t get enough beauty sleep last night, doesn’t mean—”

“Dean.” Sam hadn’t been sure he could get his voice to work. His tongue felt thick and foreign in his mouth. “I think…I think I….”

He was going to be sick.

Dean, more likely out of a sense of preservation for his precious car than immediate concern over what he probably thought was just a bad dream, hit the brakes and managed to swerve to a halt on the side of the road before Sam was hanging out the door and introducing his stomach contents to the ground.

“Dude, you never should’ve had that salad for lunch. There was probably E. coli on the spinach or something.”

Sam groaned and hung his head between his legs, waiting for the world to stop spinning.

“Here, man,” Dean said, and Sam realized he was holding out a water bottle. “At least rinse out your mouth.”

The water dulled the vile flavour of bile, but Sam didn’t dare drink more than a few sips while his stomach roiled, so he ended up swishing and spitting most of it on the ground.

“You good?”

No. It felt like the car was still moving, even though Sam had his feet planted firmly on the ground. He grunted.

“Migraine?”

Sam could hear the frown in Dean’s voice. “I think….” It hadn’t just been a dream. It couldn’t have been. They hadn’t fought any djinn in ages, it had been years since his last dose of dream root, and the angels weren’t exactly in a position to mess with them right now. Not like this, anyway. “It felt like a vision.”

The hand that had been rubbing his back stilled. “I thought we were done with that psychic crap. Azazel’s dead. No more Yellow Eyes, no more visions.”

Sam closed his eyes, but the throbbing in his head didn’t want to lessen. “Something must’ve triggered it.”

“Well, what? You’re clean, Sammy. Been clean for years. If you were going to relapse, wouldn’t it have been then?”

Then would have made sense, but Ruby’s blood hadn’t given him premonitions; it had given him the power to force demons out of their hosts, to hold their vessels in place while he ripped their smoking guts from the poor human they’d inhabited.

But he’d seen something this time.

He was sure of it.

Even if it hadn’t been exactly like his visions had once been. He hadn’t seen the cause of the destruction, didn’t know what terrible thing was going to happen unless he could prevent it. And he wasn’t used to being there, seeing things quite like that, because it felt like he’d lived it.

The only name he had—Danny—was far too common to be of any use, and while he was sure he’d recognize the girl’s voice if he heard it again, the only way to find her would be to find the place that had been destroyed. Unfortunately, whatever had caused the destruction had obliterated any street sign that should have been on the corner, so his leads on that were slim.

He remembered the F on the neon sign, distinct even half-buried in the rubble, but he hadn’t bothered to try to read the rest of the word. He hadn’t thought he’d needed to. He’d thought he was already there. That part hadn’t felt like the visions of before, but what else could it be? Dreams faded faster than this. Even those that didn’t shouldn’t leave him blinking spots from eyes that had been shut in sleep, but the afterimage left from that light….

“Just get me somewhere with free Wi-Fi.” Sam knew it wasn’t an answer, but he wasn’t sure he could give one yet. He didn’t have one. He just pulled himself back into the car, shut the door, and leaned back in his seat to stare at a stone chip in the windshield as a focus point until Dean started driving. The chip hadn’t yet spread—Dean intended to get it fixed first—but he could imagine what it would look like if it did. He could imagine what it would look like if the entire windshield shattered.

But that destruction was imagined, not real, and it felt less tangible than what he’d seen.

“Dude, maybe you should—”

“I don’t have time to rest. This is a case, Dean. We need to figure it out and stop it from happening.”

Sam didn’t need to turn his head to feel his brother’s gaze. Finally, he heard Dean shift gears and ease the car back onto the road, and he knew he’d won the first battle. “Tell me everything you remember.”

Clockwork knew what had happened the moment he returned to his tower. The Observants seemed to think he had an endless supply of time and had no qualms about squandering it, but for all their talk, they didn’t understand. They didn’t know which rules could be broken and which could not, and they hadn’t realized the danger when they’d tasked him as being the sole guard for a particularly nasty anachronism.

They didn’t know what power had been locked into place the moment the original timeline had been overwritten, nor what chronological catastrophe was likely in any timeline that resulted after the inevitable escape.

It had been inevitable. He’d known that. But he’d hoped to twist time so that the damage could be more contained. Now, since it had happened when he’d been trapped in a meeting with the Observants….

Clockwork swept past the twisted remains of the metal thermos and picked up a medallion from the rack on the wall. There was only so much he’d be able to do. The Observants, for all that they would blame him for this, would also insist he not interfere. If he did too much, they’d simply punish those they believed he’d favoured—compensation, as they liked calling it. Things must be returned to the proper equilibrium. They simply didn’t understand that there was more than one acceptable equilibrium. The balance they expected was not the only balance that could be achieved.

Still, action must be taken quickly, and an unexpected catalyst would be the best one. He would see to that; he already had. It would take—had only taken—a little tweak; nothing the Observants would notice unless they looked too closely, and they’d be too distracted to do that.

He opened a portal, stepped out to where young Danny Fenton was frozen mid-step and mid-sentence in a conversation with his friends, and hung the medallion over his chest.

“—n’t get away with—huh?” The halfa’s eyes grew wide as they found his form. “Clockwork? What are you doing here?”

He was creating a very visible distraction, one he hoped would cover up the minor adjustments being made to the timeline and reality itself. “Your future has caught up to you,” he said, watching as confusion melted into fear. “I cannot stop it now. That task must fall to you and those who would help you.”

“Sam and Tucker.”

It was not the only pair he meant, but it was the only pair that could be safely spoken aloud at this time. He did not need to see the Observants to feel their eyes on him. They had marked him the moment he’d crossed into the Real World. He had to choose his words carefully. “Not everything will be as it seems. You will need to—”

“Trust my instincts? Try not to do everything myself? Actually talk to Valerie and Jazz about this? You know Valerie wouldn’t take this well, right?”

He was so very, very young. He shouldn’t need to face something of this magnitude. Not yet, certainly not again.

But Clockwork couldn’t change this. Not anymore. He could only try to nudge things into the proper place so that it could be contained. If he miscalculated….

“Keep the medallion,” he said. “It may yet be of use.”

There were so many ways this could play out, and so few that were preferable.

“Good luck.”

Kimi ni Todoke Chapter 121 Translation

Hey my fellow Kimi ni Todoke fans!

I’m so sorry for the long wait on this translation! Thank you for your patience!

Before we get started, let me put my usual disclaimer out there. I can read Japanese and I study the language in my free time, but I’m not even remotely close to fluent. I sometimes encounter sentence structures / grammar concepts that are beyond my level of comprehension, and I do my best to figure things out with the help of my dictionary and the internet. With this in mind, just know that I do occasionally make mistakes and misinterpret things; I’m not trying to pass this or my other translations off as the work of an experienced or professional translator. I love translating, and the main reason I do it is so that those of you who adore Kimi ni Todoke but can’t read or understand Japanese can follow what’s happening in the latest chapters. I don’t think it would be fair if only those of us who understand Japanese got to keep in the loop, especially when official English translations are so far behind! So even though some things might be wrong, I’d still like to share what I was able to gather from the chapter with you! :)

Without spoiling anything...my Sawako x Kazehaya shipper friends out there, the next couple of weeks are going to be very hard for you. This chapter ends on a cliffhanger, but stay strong! October 13th will be here before you know it!

Sawako’s Mom: “She won’t even accept my help on moving day.”

Sawako’s Dad: “Why? What’s going on with Sawako?”

Sawako’s Mom: “She said that she wants to see how long it will take to move by herself.* Aw, and I wanted to go to the Sapporo department stores and things like that~!”

Sawako’s Dad: “You’ll be able to go from now if we visit Sawako’s place!!”

Sawako’s Mom: “That's true!!”

Kazehaya (on phone): “Hello? Kuronuma?”

* Not too confident in this translation – I’m pretty sure Sawako said that she wants to move alone. I think the line might be saying that her mom asked, “Do you know how long moving by yourself will take?” and then Sawako said she wanted to try it out. Or Sawako said the whole line. But regardless of who said it, Sawako wants to try out moving alone.

PAGE 3:

Kazehaya: “Moving preparations going well?”

Sawako: “Yes. It’s going little by little, but I’m sorting through and packing the things I’m going to bring with me.”

Sawako: “Have you decided what day you’ll be moving, Kazehaya-kun?”

Kazehaya: “Moving…I mean, I’m sort of transporting things in steps. As for the things in the apartment, I’ll bring the refrigerator and other things I’ve bought on the day they turn on the gas. From then I have a feeling I’ll be living there.”

Kazehaya: “It’s at the start of next week, so I’ll be moving before you do, Kuronuma.”

Sawako: “…I see…It’s already starting then…”

Kazehaya: “Starting?”

Sawako: “Your new life…”

Sawako: […I…]

Sawako: [Somehow, rather than his new life…]

Kazehaya: “Will you come?”

Kazehaya: “The day they turn on the gas?”

Kazehaya: “I’ll be lonely all by myself! Help me, Kuronuma.”

Sawako: “T…That day will they be able to do it slowly?” *

* I’m honestly not sure who exactly she’s talking about – the people turning on the gas or the two of them getting his apartment in order. Either way, I think she’s implying that she wants what needs to be done to take as long as possible so she can continue spending time with him. Sorry I can’t quite get this one – I have a feeling it’s the people turning the gas on because Kazehaya is making a guess when he says they’ll be busy.

PAGE 6:

Sawako: [It’s his first time living alone.]

Sawako: “Wow!!”

Kazehaya: “It’s on the second floor.”

Kazehaya: “Was the apartment easy to find from the station?”

Sawako: “Y-Yes…!”

Kazehaya: “Remember how you got here! No…listen! When you come I could go meet you.”

Kazehaya: “Huh? Really?! Wow!! …Oh!!”

* Onigiri: Rice balls wrapped in a sheet of seaweed, sometimes containing fillings.

PAGE 13:

Kazehaya: “I don’t have any tea!! That’s right, actually, I don’t have any drinks like that!”

Kazehaya: “That reminds me, I only have one cup.”

Sawako: “Oh, that’s all right!”

Sawako: “I brought some, so I’ll make it in the pot!! I’ll borrow…a bowl!!”*

Kazehaya: “If it comes to that, I’ll use the bowl!!”

Sawako: “Is there anything else I should put away?”

Kazehaya: “Oh, well then, could you take care of the things that go in the bathroom area and the little things in that box? It’s okay to open it!!”

Sawako: “Got it!”

* Honestly not sure about this, so I gave it my best guess. The word for teacup (茶わん / Chawan) can also mean rice bowl. Since Kazehaya only has one cup, I think Sawako is suggesting using a small bowl to drink her tea (since the shape is roughly the same, and tea is even in the word). I could be totally wrong, but I wanted to explain my reasoning.

PAGE 14:

Kazehaya: “Oh! That, huh?”

Sawako: “Oh!”

Kazehaya: “For now it belongs in the entryway.”

Kazehaya: “Haha! It’s a guardian deity!”

PAGE 15:

Sawako: “I-I’ll also put your Shisa in my entryway!!”*

Kazehaya: “Ahaha, seriously?!”

Sawako: […He brought them…]

Sawako: [Even though he said he doesn’t have a lot of stuff, he even brought such a badly-painted Shisa…]

* A shisa is an Okinawan statue that is believed to ward off certain evil spirits. Sawako and Kazehaya exchanged the shisa(s?) they painted during the class trip to Okinawa.

Sawako: [He’s keeping my existence here…]*

Sawako: […I’m happy…]

Kazehaya: “The refrigerator came!”

Kazehaya: “With this the appliances are all here.”

Sawako: “Right! I’ve almost tidied up.”

* I messed with this a little but I’m still not sure it’s clear. Basically, she’s happy that he’s bringing so many things he associates with her into his home, like he’s preserving her presence.

Kazehaya: “Kuronuma, can we eat dinner together today?”

Sawako: “Oh – yes!! Is that all right?!”

Kazehaya: “If we do, why don’t we do a little shopping?”

Kazehaya: “For things like food and drinks!”

A/n: There’s a little more plot to this than the other smut I posted, here! But only a little…

If you’re not over 18 please don’t read. My other works are sfw, this is fluffy fluff, and this is fluff with a tiny bit of angst. I’ll make a masterlist later :)

Bucky had been weird all trip. This mini break to Paris was supposed to be in celebration of three years since your first date, but with the way he had been withdrawing from you and seeming less interested in everything than normal, you had been very worried that maybe he brought you to France to break up with you.

So you cried for more than one reason when he dropped to one knee on the last evening and you realised he been acting unusually because of nerves.

As the ring was slid on your finger you had never felt more complete.

Half an hour later you’re back in your hotel suite and the two of you can celebrate your engagement. You grin into the kiss as you feel the weight of the jewellery on your left hand, and have to pull away from Bucky’s mouth to admire it once again. He sighs.

“Please pay attention to me Y/N. We haven’t had sex for days-

“And who’s fault is that?”

“-and now all you want to do is stare at a ring. S'rude.”

You gasp when he rocks his hips into you, his erection obvious. “I’m sorry about before, I was nervous. But not any more.” He’s staring down at you and your thighs clench at the dark look in his eyes.

“How about you make it up to me?”

You’ve forgiven him ten times over already but you feel yourself get wetter just thinking about previous ‘apologies’ Bucky has given you. He smirks, nods, and presses his lips to yours again.

Moaning against him you begin to unbutton his shirt but then get distracted once more by the flashing diamond, moving to suck a mark into his neck as you gaze down at your ring. He doesn’t notice at first. The cardigan you’re wearing is slipped off your shoulders and his hands find your breasts as he pushes his clothed cock against you.

When you fail to react to him flicking your nipple through your bra he frowns.

“What’s wrong?”

“Huh?”

“You’re not very…” he follows your line of sight and groans. “Really, Y/N?”

You pout. “But it’s so pretty!”

“Prettier than me?”

Giggling you finally drag your eyes away from the bright stone. “Nothing is prettier than you Bucky.”

It may sound like a joke but you’ve never been more serious. In the light from the sun setting through the window, with flushed cheeks and slightly fluffy hair, he looks so beautiful.

Resting his forehead against yours, the mood in the room changes as you grin at each other.

“You asked me to marry you,” you whisper at him, not being able to contain your glee.

“I did.”

“We’re getting married.”

“We are.”

“I love you so much.”

“I love you more.”

You’ve cried enough today so you pull him into another kiss to stop yourself from welling up. Bucky quickly gets back to the task of undressing you, and when your unzipped skirt falls to the ground you step out of it and kick off your shoes.

You start to unbuckle his belt but without breaking the kiss he stops your hands, bringing both of them up above your head and holding them at the wrist in one of his own.

He trails kisses across your face to your neck as he watches you squirm.

“Don’t want any more distractions, do we, Y/N?”

“But I want you naked,” you whine.

Bucky groans into your ear.

“Trust me doll, there’ll be plenty of time for that. Right now, though,” he moves so your back is flat to the wall and his hips are flush to yours, “I have some apologising to do.”

He doesn’t give you a chance to respond, claiming your mouth again, but this time it’s a lot more desperate and you whimper when he slips his right thigh between your own. Despite being worried about Bucky’s behaviour earlier today, you had noticed he was wearing very nice jeans and spent a while at lunch admiring his legs. Having one against your core soaks your underwear even more.

As he starts a slow grind you twist your head away from him to breathe. His free hand raises one of your legs up around his waist before his fingers grip your chin to turn you back to him.

His eyes are even darker now.

“I want you to watch me Y/N.”

Swallowing you nod, fighting the need to close your eyes as he presses himself harder on to you. You squeal when he hooks his thumb into the side of your knickers and pulls them down almost hard enough to rip. He swaps the hands holding yours up and, stepping back momentarily, helps you wriggle your legs out of your panties.

When he closes back in on you and sets up the rhythm again, trying to pull your hands free isn’t even considered and you lean your head back on the wall and allow the sensations to wash over you.

Your eyelashes flutter as Bucky gropes your breast and he spots the signs that you’re close.

Bucky shrugs. “S'alright. I like it at lot too.”

“Yeah?”

“Uh huh, it lets me know you’re mine.”

He picks you up then, carrying you to the bedroom as you smile into his shoulder. Dumping you on the bed and slipping off his boots, he crawls up to where you’ve propped your self against the pillows and kisses you softly.

“I’m yours, am I?” You mumble against his lips.

“And I’m yours.”

The adoration in his gaze when he pulls away leaves you breathless.

Monday’s lunar eclipse sheds light on what lives in the shadows. The excess baggage we carry around. The invisible weight of what brings us down. The things that we know we need to put down, but are afraid to.

Monday’s lunar eclipse unpacks what has been bundled up inside of us. The emotions underneath the behavior. The fear underneath the anger. The issues in our lives that act like energetic vampires.

Monday’s lunar eclipse is here to help us empty out. To release the clutter. To be reflective. To remember that we need to clear our space in order for future spells to be effective.

Try not to rush to replace what is leaving. Try not to jump to conclusions about what to do with the new room. Try not to assume too much just because being in the unknown is uncomfortable.

Eclipse season is a time of transition. A time when our issues rise to the surface with great speed. The energy in certain areas of our life is increased. Sped up. Those of us who were born during eclipses will notice their impact more specifically. Those of us with planets or points close to 15° of Aquarius will feel this more intensely. The rest of us will notice the effects to varying degrees.

How we deal with what occurs during eclipse season effects our lives for years to come, making this a good time to incredibly mindful of where we are placing ourselves and what we are doing with the lessons that we are learning. This is the first of two eclipses. The second will be a total solar eclipse in Leo on August 21st at 28° of Leo, which looks to be one that will ignite much both personally and collectively.

Towards the end of the week, on Saturday, while the effects of the eclipse are still lingering, Mercury stations retrograde. This too will be coloring the week. With some confusion. With some reason for caution. With some opportunities to edit our messages.

Mercury in Virgo is strong, making this retrograde one that will focus on what gets in the way of our ability to be effective, skillful, and precise. Mercury will end up retrograding all the way back to 28° of Leo come September. The same degree that the total solar eclipse on August 21st is occurring on. This Mercury retrograde cycle ties into one of the most intense, dramatic and important astrological events of the year, letting us know that whatever we are needing to unlearn and relearn will be incredibly significant for a long time to come. Letting us know that whatever occurs around August 21st will be revisited around September 5th.

Interwoven through the chaos and the intensity of the week are very helpful and affirming transits.

The sun moves from a mood-lifting sextile to Jupiter to a stabilizing trine to Saturn. This aspect can help us to recalibrate post-eclipse and mid-Mercury stationing retrograde. Venus also sweetens the skies by spending the week moving from a socially supportive sextile to Mercury to a dreamy and inspirational trine to Neptune. These little goodies might get lost in the shuffle or might lighten the burden of becoming that this eclipse season is asking us to take on.

There is some loss that you might experience but that loss creates space for new projects. For you, eclipse season will shuffle around your schedule. Notice who is circling back around for your reacquaintance. Notice what old ideas resurface. Notice what you are returning to in order to refurbish, reuse or repurpose it professionally.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

In order to grow, we must be willing to part ways with what isn’t working. We have to know what has served its purpose. We have to know where our energy would be better repurposed.

Monday’s eclipse makes that clear in regards to the ways in which you are utilizing your resources.

What might you need to reconsider, rework or take a new approach to in regards to the way you are supporting yourself? What issues about compensation need to be handled, healed, or held?

How you have done business up until this point, and how you do business beyond this point are decidedly different. How different is up to you. How you innovate what you are creating is entirely your call, but it is clear that you are being called to.

Notice what financial fears come up for you around this time. What feelings about your self-worth. What feelings about your capacity to make use of what you have to work with.

Mercury’s retrograde will scour the plans that you have made, checking to see if there are important revisions that your itinerary needs. Go over your long-term goals with a fine-toothed comb. Review the routes to success that you might have outlined for yourself. If you can view your journey in the coming weeks as more of an adventure than a test to get right, you’ll get much more out of Mercury retrograde’s process.

We need both the struggle and the triumph of life in order to have a deep relationship with it. In order to feel fulfilled at the end of it. In order to understand what we are capable of while we are living it.

We need both the knowledge attained from living our lives as well as the feelings that living it evokes. We need both our strength and our softness. We need both our willingness to steer as well as to be lead.

Monday’s lunar eclipse will push you to empty out some aspect of yourself. Monday’s eclipse will ask you to receive the blessings of your accomplishments. Monday’s eclipse will be much more beneficial to you when you balance both the offerings that you make and the blessings that you receive. You can’t do it all on your own, this eclipse makes that clear. But it also makes clear the importance of doing your part with as much integrity and self respect as possible. This eclipse will call you to answer for your actions, but it will also celebrate the highroads you’ve taken. All eyes are on you, so make sure you display what you need others to know about you and conceal what you need to keep for yourself.

As Mercury begins its retrograde, it will have you spending the next couple of weeks clearing up any miscommunications within your collaborations. Some of the time this will be about you figuring out which partners are the best fit for you, and some of the time this will be about figuring out how to better communicate with the ones that you have.

Dear followers,

I am sorry that I have to continue talking about this subject, and this will be my last effort to help people understand my point of view on the subject of rape/abuse in fanfiction and the discussion of my involvement. And I hope this will be a satisfying reply to those on the opposite side. I want nothing more than going back to keeping a simple fanblog of RandL/Rhink like I used to.

The following is a response to this post.

At this point, I am very unsure as to what more I can do. I understand the pain rape victims can experience if they were to encounter some of my writing. I know it's potentially triggering, that's why it has warnings and tags. I wrote those fics to explore and express my own trauma and I no longer feel the urge to explore it further. So that content will no longer be seen on my blog. You can find the fics at AO3 if you have an account there. Once again, I feel that I need to point out that the non/con flagged series does not fetishize rape in any way. My story is graphic; it explores the terrifying realities of abusive relationships and abuse and I will not deny that.

I however, am not harassing anyone in fandom and I am not after anyone. I’m not trying to make anyone leave the fandom. Some of my followers have gone to send hateful anon asks to those users posting on the subject. I do not encourage this action. I can't control what everyone does, but I wish that those who support me would stop sending mean comments to them. This situation is not going to improve as a result. It serves only to muddy the waters.

I’ll put everything else under the cut.

Let’s start with the ‘’new proof’’:

''These are comments from an actual fic where Rhett is a grown man and Link is 17 years old, and Rhett drugs and rapes Link.''

The comment I left to that one fic isn't a proof for anything. It is left to an author who I know and with whom I have talked several times. The comment is out of context to everyone else but the author. It doesn't state that I especially liked the drugging part, or the rape part. You presume to know more than is possible from a simple comment.The fic has different notes that interested me aside from the act of abuse and it is not anyone else's business what they are. The author knows, no one else has to. This comment shaming is also leading to people being terrified to leave comments on stories because who knows when they are going to be dragged out and presented out of context and used as “proof” of their character, to be used to vilify them. That comment was left eight months ago. I wasn’t keeping a very big blog then, and I certainly hadn’t been mentioned in any RandL official pages. So I didn’t need to worry that someone who follows me for my general content may be triggered by a simple comment I left on a story. I never planned for my blog to grow as large as it has, or for the main accounts to use my content. That comment could have been pointed out to me and discussed privately before assuming the worst and leaving others to assume the same.

‘’Pretend someone was disturbed by this fic, and wanted to start a discussion with the author and the consumers of the fic. They look at comments and they see that a popular fandom blog has lovingly shown support of the fic. Then they look at their AO3 page and realize they’ve written not one, not two, not three, but four fics about graphic rape that is just as beloved as this individual.’’

I have deleted the comment so, in the future, someone viewing that fic won’t get confused by me commenting it. I see that this is potentially troubling to users viewing my content that do not wish to associate with fiction of this nature.

I have locked my “Testing His Limits” series to only to those who are signed into AO3 so as to be sure that unwitting users will not stumble across it. “Testing His Limits” continues to get referred to in these posts as multiple stories, making it seem as though all I do is write rape/non-con content. This fic is presented as a series and therefore each part is flagged. It is ONE story. “The Cerulean Dream” has an additional 'non-con' tag because one scene can be viewed that way and it felt appropriate to warn readers that might find that content troubling/triggering. The fic isn't about rape. “Hide-Out” has a 'non-con' tag for a similar reason. So, in an effort to protect people from content they may find disturbing, I flagged the content. I used the tools provided to me by AO3 to protect people.

‘’As we’ve mentioned before, writing about rape and child abuse isn’t harmful. It’s the way the topics are handled. ‘’

‘’We know that Jacular’s fics come from a place of trauma, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be harmful. Because that’s what they are. And, as someone who understands what trauma victims go through, we are disappointed in the fact that she refuses to listen to anyone else (“I will continue to post my eyeroll gifs,” “I don’t have to apologize for anything.”), especially multiple trauma victims, when it comes to the fact that what she’s done is harmful.’’

‘’If you want a fandom with no division, with no anger, then you have to learn to respectfully write these topics or not write them at all. ’

My fic series, “Testing His Limits”, contains the act of rape, and it describes an abusive relationship. But what I think is happening here is that no one is looking past the rape/non-con tag, and are judging me based on whatever preconceived notion they have as a result of what I can only assume to be chatter in the fandom. That was actually said to me before I got blocked by the author of this post. THL is ugly and raw, but it does not fetishize or glorify rape. If you feel that you are capable of handling the nature of the content, I encourage you to read it and make that determination on your own. Some people here, who normally don't read darker fics, have gone to read that to see it themselves and none of them has said they got a feeling it was written to be ''hot''. It is exactly the opposite. Link's voice in that fic was my way to get my own thoughts out about something I experienced. I do understand that this content is still triggering to some people, and I am sorry if you feel that way. The series is not written to praise rape in anyway. It's a graphic description of a difficult subject, an abusive relationship.

‘’If you are willingly releasing content to be viewed publicly, and you are criticized and told it’s harmful, you have to step back and consider whether what you’re doing is okay.’’

You are free to spread a warning about me where it belongs, to let other users know the nature of the fics that I write so they can avoid their triggers, but please post it where it belongs, meaning the Rhink fandom. This post specifically may not be placed in the main tags, but many others have been. Criticizing my work is not what I am not upset about, but the way it was done wasn’t appropriate, and the ones making that post mocked me openly on their blog and even attributed my identity to several anons when I made no attempt to contact them. After what I have experienced in my life and while running this blog, I would never sink as low as sending anon hate, or to mock people openly. I can’t understand how people who say they empathize with rape victims, and have gone through that themselves, are even capable of doing that. I’m certainly not.

But bringing NSFW content to the main tags for RandL, and tagging the crew members to see it when they said they do not wish to see Rhink content, is just an ugly move and harms everyone viewing that tag. This is the newest post. The author of this post is unknown, but that is largely irrelevant when the authors of the posts to which I have referred are defending that behavior and one of which that is still found in the G/M/M tag. I hope the person who made that post publicly apologizes for putting that content in the main tags where it does not belong, and not just to me, but to everyone, including RandL and their crew.
