a mini guide to mini dolls
i'm making this because i love smaller dolls (between 4-7" tall) and i wish there were more options that aren't toddlers/children😔 if anyone knows of a doll line i've missed, please let me know!!
MGA Dream Ella Extra Iconic Mini doll
articulation including elbows and knees
more realistic adult proportions
brushable hair
6" tall
available on Amazon (but discontinued I think)
only 3 doll models were made
Barbie Extra Mini doll
articulation including elbows and knees
big, rounded head compared to body
brushable hair
5.5" tall
available at retailers
Magic Mixies Pixlings doll
articulation of arms and legs but only elbows, not knees
big, rounded head
molded-on clothing and supernatural features like wings, ears, horns, fins, etc.
6-6.5" tall
available at retailers
My Little Pony Equestria Girls Mini dolls
articulation including elbows and knees
Big head, but balanced out with big feet
Molded-on plastic hair, clothes, shoes, and horse ears
4.5-5" tall
discontinued, have to buy second-hand and can be expensive
Disney Store 5.5" Mini dolls
only basic articulation: head, legs, arms.
Proportions are realistic, close to a 12" doll like Barbie or MH
Brushable hair (although male dolls have molded hair)
5.5" tall
discontinued, obscure, and can be expensive second-hand
Winner's Stable playset dolls
articulation of knees but not elbows
budget dolls (not the best quality)
brushable hair
5" tall
discontinued but affordable second-hand
Breyer Freedom Series 1:12 scale dolls
I'm pretty sure they're articulated to the elbows and knees?
proportions similar to Barbie or MH
brushable hair
hands in reins-holding pose lol
6" tall
available but overpriced imo
Kuu Kuu Harajuku Mini doll
only basic articulation at arms and legs
oversized head and feet
molded-on hair
4-4.5" tall
discontinued but available second-hand, not too expensive
Capsule Chix
LOTS of articulation, including even hands and feet
All joints pop easily on and off
fairly realistic proportions
body has molded-on details to look like a robot
some have molded-on clothes, all have molded plastic hair
4.5-5" tall
available at retailers or second-hand, although a bit overpriced imo
Enchantimals 6" dolls
only basic arm and leg articulation
brushable hair
huge head with slim body
molded-on animal features like ears or horns
6" tall
pretty easy to find on Amazon or second-hand, affordable
Sonic Prime Action Figures
according to the box, 13 points of articulation
(obviously) molded to look like the Sonic the Hedgehog characters
lots of molded and painted details
5" tall
available at retailers, usually around $15 each
I'm including these even though they're action figures because if someone wanted to swap the heads, I think the bodies would be a fun and unique choice for a custom doll
there are actually lots of interesting articulated action figures that have customization potential!

rating all mane six ships
just the monogamy ones sry guys </3 feel free to request ones i haven't done if you want in my askbox
twilight x pinkie 6/10 - i like it esp w rarijack and flutterdash, but im a big fan of single twilight idk why. i might be remembering incorrectly but i think i really shipped them when the movie came out bc they had scenes together in that which were cute
twilight x dash 7/10 - ngl kinda interesting, esp w that episode where twilight teaches dash the history of the wonderbolts, but again single twilight is top tier
twilight x aj 8/10 - favorite twilight ship within the mane six. sry guys but her and aj are the most mature imo and they are the moms of the group so this makes sense to me
twilight x rarity 2/10 - eh not interesting to me
twilight x fluttershy 5/10 - kinda neutral, a little interesting but not really
pinkie x dash 3/10 - idk why it was always so important to me but i think they're closer than they are w the rest of the mane six, but i dont think it would ever be romantic. i blame that one tea party playset they came in together (w celestia for some reason) that labeled them as "pony friends forever"
pinkie x aj 0/10 - even if they aren't technically related, they call each other cousin n shit so that's gross
pinkie x rarity 6/10 - only bc rarijack <3 and im a shitty multishipper, but they are very cute and compliment each other in a unique way. wish we had more episodes with them being the focus
pinkie x fluttershy 1/10 - sry this wouldn't work. nine out of ten times pinkie is the one triggering fluttershy's anxiety lol
dash x aj 4/10 - i know they're technically canon and i think butch x butch ships need to happen in media more, but i just never really saw it happening. also multishipper thing and flutterdash rarijack, but i honestly did not see romantic chemistry between them
dash x rarity 8/10 - purely for the plot. this would be really really interesting
dash x fluttershy 100/10 - my personal favorite mlp ship. canon for me, childhood friends to lovers, even funnier that fluttershy's brother is so annoying at dash. also love that they have lunch with fluttershy's parents and i imagine that after that one ep they do it w dash's parents too
aj x rarity 10/10 - im such a sucker for opposites attract so :) also i like the idea that they're the type of couple that's hardly ever together but when they are its so perfect and they make each other so happy :)
aj x fluttershy 7/10 - cottagecore lesbian ship cool
rarity x fluttershy 5/10 - similar to my feelings about pinkiedash, i can only really see them being super close friends sry
other popular ships here

I saw that you posted a pathways playlist and were willing to explain the song choices!!! Though I think I can understand most songs on the playlist, I’m a little lost on the what the Cats Millionaire song is doing there, could we get an explanation on how it correlates with pathways? Thank you! :3
hi! another anon has already asked for explanations for all the songs, so i would've waited to answer this one til that message was posted, but. uh. its shaping up to be nearly 1k words with only the first 3 song analysises. so it may take me a while. HOWEVER: i will answer this one now just because of my lack of posting for a few days!
category 4 yap warning you have been advised
^ link to the song
i think this song is a good representation of painter's point of view on sebastian from a more. exaggerated/abstract point of view, i guess? its about, literally, playing pretend with a my little pony wedding playset, but a lot of the lyrics remind me of painter in the way of like. its misguided hopes/dreams of escaping the facility and "playing pretend" by drawing the outside it used to be able to see all the time
^ with this excerpt i think the second verse fits sebastian pretty well also. "dull plastic eyes" literally meaning painter (made of plastic obvi), and his "disguise" being the lie that he will definitely be able to free painter.
the first one is def from painters pov. "every day with you is so utterly perfect" meaning more that all of their interactions with sebastian are a highlight of their life in the blacksite
^ same thing
#talk tag#asks#srry school just started so im a bit exhausted & incoherent. if i come back to this later and its incomprehensible ill rewrite it#sebpainter#pathways

re: those toys that were peak aesthetic, the mlp mermaids,
THE PLAYSETS!!!! THE CASTLE. THE C A S T L E IT LOOKED SO COOL. also the commercial version of the mlp song is still stuck in my head, where they added "it's a magical! my little pony" or maybe it was mermaid tail not magical?? anyway I usually hate commercial jingles they make up for toy commercials but that one was xute
I just looked up the castle and OMG??
little me would've ADORED this if she knew this existed!! this set looks so fun!! ty for bringing it to my attention honestly (。•̀ᴗ<)
I absolutely adore the little figurines they made for G3.5, but I haven't looked at the sets they came in all that often for some reason... I only ever knew of this moving ferris wheel toy just because I had one and then I broke it
weirdly enough, I don't remember seeing any G3 commercials so I can't share much in that regard :'3 I could try to look for how they sounded in Polish, I imagine the sound of that would still be nostalgic
#thank you for the ask btw! I know I didn't say much but I'm just glad to see someone who gets the vision#my little pony#mlp g3#mlp g3.5#mlp#nostalgia#kidcore#nostalgic toys#ask reply#2000s nostalgia#aesthetic#pastel aesthetic

Someone had asked me about my personal collection of My Little Ponies, and I don't remember if I ever replied but I just rearranged the G1 section a bit, so it's as good a time as any to show off my small collection.
Tadaaa that's all of them!
I just thrifted 3 of the LOL Surprise 3-in-1 Pop Up Store which I really like to use as doll display risers. I have two complete ones and two incomplete ones, now.
I try to sort my ponies by type/set even though that looks a little chaotic sometimes.
This side is now, from top to bottom:
What I have of the Slumber Party Gift Pack - I'm missing Pink Dreams, and there's a space for her if I ever find her.
Babies, though not sorted by type or set. Just babies. Some are rehaired.
Rainbow Babies though I like those better than the "regular" ones so maybe I should move them up on the shelf so I can see them better. One Windy Wing. Or Summer Wing. I can never remember who is who without looking at my IDed photos.
Loving Families. I do not have the Euro exclusive siblings, only the US release siblings.
Softies which I don't even want and don't know why I have so many. It just kind of happened. I do get attached to things that need more work to be nice again.
The center area holds the ponies I have multiples if not all of from a set. Like TaF, Princess Brush n Grow, Sparkle Ponies, etc. They're not in there in a particularly logical way. They're kind of in there in blobs by set. Some are rehaired.
The lower shelf are ponies that are very different from the rest of the collection, and the only playset I own. I need to add some color to that shelf somehow.
This side, we have all of the ponies that I have only one from the set, ones that aren't particularly special, one full custom that should be with the others
but there is no room, and the lower shelf is all Flat Foot ponies, except Peachy who is an imposter/place holder for Blossom whom I don't have.
I do have a Sweetheart Sisters Sunblossom upstairs in the office with me. She has a special place for a sad reason.
There are also some that I've been working on for a while and haven't completed in order to put in the display.
My wishlist is very small:
FF Cotton Candy is on there because mine is heavily damaged.
Anyway. That's all of them.

haii could I have either headcanons or a fic about little transfem House and how she deals with dysphoria when regressed n how wilson helps her :3
- @tummy-rubs-for-wilson-pup
Here you go!
House and Wilson have nail-polish-parties! Wilson paints House's nails and House paints Wilson's and demands he leave on her masterpiece and wears them to work.
She gets all the colours and the glitter. It gets everywhere all the time because she doesn't like to sit still. Always gets patterns of different colours.
When she's feeling old enough she and Wilson practice makeup with those "girl's first eyeshadow, etc." kits.
On bad dysphoria days Wilson really ramps up the fem nicknames. He calls her honey, darling, sweetheart, angel (House thinks this one is funny when she's big because haha, no), and princess.
They cover mirrors with blankets that have stars on them.
Wilson took her out to get the girls toys she missed out on growing up like Barbies and the pink version of things like doctor playsets. House loves making the Barbies ride her monster trucks and crash into each other. He also ordered her dress-up outfits like princess dresses, crowns and tiaras, a toy magic wand, and fairy wings.
A lot of the ways Wilson helps House with dysphoria is with providing a lot of "traditionally girly" activities because she doesn't accept verbal reassurances very well. They watch DVD Barbie movies, My Little Pony, and Strawberry Shortcake, she colours princess colouring pages, they bake sugar cookies with pink frosting on them.
Fun socks and footwear have been extremely helpful! Long, short, fluffy spa socks, unicorns, bright colours, butterflies, a pair of pink slippers, the works.
Wilson reminds her to take her estrogen :)

I LOVE those pony village horses!!! Where did you find the photos for them, or do you know where I could look to purchase them? I tried looking them up and just found MLP toy listings >_<
I found them on DBA (Danish equivalent of Craigslist) and in this old listing!
I don't think any are for sale right now, so you're just gonna have to be patient and persistent :)

What kind of toys do you like?
[pretend i'm twirling my hair] I'm sooooooo glad you asked! Most of the toys I like are either dolls or small little guys, normally made with a young girl demographic in mind! I always adored dolls, but whenever I see a tiny little creature my mind just go bonkers. Like! It's a small little creature! In a small little world!
My favorite doll lines are Monster High and 2000s Barbie dolls in general. MH g1 is something else, although I'm eyeing the g3 (the newer ones) with heart eyes. I REALLY need to caught up on what's happening over there, but it's all so adorable! The theming is IMPECCABLE, let me tell you that. Barbie dolls from the 2000s are very nostalgic to me as well, as I believe it was Barbie's pinkiest and sparkliest era to this day (hopefully this changes soon!). I think Blythe dolls are adorable as well, and I hope I can get one someday, even if it's "just" a fake. BJDs are also something I really like, altho it's nothing compared to MH and Barbie dolls to me. I want to get into Bratz dolls as well, though!
Here's the obligatory shout-out to Novi Stars. FANTASTIC doll line for how creative and out there it was, and it's such a shame it didn't last longer!
I really want a Susi doll one day, though. I love her face mold, and many of her dolls have incredibly adorable clothes. For context, Susi is a doll made by Estrela, a brazilian toy company, and she's just the cutest thing:
For the tiny ones: Polly Pocket falls in the middle between fashion doll and tiny girl. I'm talking about her 2000s incarnation, whose plastic clothes will always be iconic to me. Tiny little fabulous worlds! It's perfect! But Littlest Pet Shop will always be #1 in my heart when it comes to tiny little ones. I'm obsessed, I NEED to expand my collection and I'm SO happy that they made a comeback recently! I really like how Hasbro, the owner of the brand, is doing the new molds for the pets, keeping the iconic look from the 2000s/early 2010s but adding to it. Have you guys seen the new axolotl pet?
GOSH, THEY'RE SO CUTE.
I never had Sylvanian Families (very expensive for me!), but shout out to them as well. Everything is incredibly detailed and adorable, and I love seeing pictures of these little guys online! When I was a kid I wasn't interested on fofoletes at all (also made by Estrela), but I came to appreciate how they look. They're so cute!
Of course, I can't forget to mention My Little Pony (gen 3 toys specifically, although the gen 4 show did my brain chemistry). Their playsets... Magnificent. Honestly half the reason I like tiny toys so much is just because of the playsets, I loved making little scenes with my playsets as a kid and just looking at them.
Honestly, I have so many Pinterest boards full of girly toys at this point you guys could ask me to find a specific toy on them and I probably could lmao.

One of the “I’m having the worst week of my life so I’m going to buy a lot of stuff on Amazon” buys this summer was this castle I’ve seen for sale a bunch, but never at a real-life location or on sale! But when she dropped a few bucks, I decided: I’m worth it! So “My Little Pony Canterlot Castle Playset with Princess Celestia with 3 levels of play” came home with me! Here’s todays MIB photos, complete with the Amazon barcode sticker! Funny enough, this set also got released with a Storm King mini, but that one wasn’t on sale! 🤣 I wonder if the set is otherwise identical?

I have moved to a new place, which means going through some very, very old boxes of mine. Here's some running commetary I did for some of it on Twitter
Photo 1: When I was a little lass, I used to buy these chapsticks called Lipsmackers. They came in a zillion different flavors. I used to bite them like candy. To be fair they really, really marketed them as if they were candy. They made many of the caps with a hole in them so you could wear the chapstick on a necklace chain for some reason (which I did).
Why do I still have them? Well when I got older and stopped eating these things, I still liked to use them like a normal human, but also just to smell them, they were very nice smelling. They. Do Not smell nice anymore but that is to be expected. It's been a while.
Anyway that's a very weird product from the past, the joy of collecting all the flavors and wearing them on a necklace was just as much a part of the process as actually using them, they made every single one a unique color and I think that was to appeal to Collectors. Like I got legit so excited when I went to the store and saw New flavors. And the glittery-colored ones were like cracking open a pack of cards to find a Foil, lol
Also, I discovered my Chocolate Milk chapstick has the last name of my childhood best friend in pernament marker, I fucking borrowed her chapstick and never gave it back, which is hilarious to me
Dr Pepper was the best flavor, for the record.
Photo 2: So while I was reminiscing about lip gloss, I discovered the company STILL EXISTS (I assumed they were long dead, as many fads of the 90s go). So I bought a new pack for old time's sake! They're . . . not as good smelling or as tasty as I remember them being, but they probably have changed the formula in the time span of a couple decades, to be fair.
Photo 3-4: I just wanted to say this is peak cell phone design and I miss it. I got to play Snakebar, feel like I was using a Star Trek TOS communicator, I didn't have the incredibly depressing Entire Internet with me 24/7, it actually fits into even women's pockets, it has physical buttons, I see no downsides here.
Photo 5-6: A selection of some of my Littlest Pet Shop collection from when I was a kiddo. They are vastly superior to modern Littlest Pet Shop toys, and it saddens me that kids won't get to enjoy sets like these anymore. Not only do these things actually look like animals, but the attention to detail is incredible and they are functional toys. The frogs can 'leap' with a catapault. The mice can navigate a maze with a cheese that has a magnet in it. The chamelion changes color in warm water. They all did things. And they all came with accessories (food, brushes, cat litter boxes, etc) and playsets.
Photo 7: Typical box of toys from my youth: Dinosaurs dragons bugs monster trucks lizards roaarrrrr oh also a polly pocket, Iguess. This was the duality of a tomgirl who also happened to like Very Small Cute Things. So pretty much my toys were either typical "boy's toys" or they were Cute and Small (Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony, Polly Pocket, etc). I didn't like dolls except I did some have Barbies as a VERY tiny tot, but it was because I loved Barbie's Tiny Plastic accessories (tiny plastic shoes, food, whatever) more than the actual dolls, lol
Photo 8: Holy shit you guys I loved Giga Pets so much as a kid. This is a selection of some of them. (Well actually one of the ones in the photo is a Nano Pet) Giga Pets were a very popular spinoff of the Tamagotchi craze. Sadly these Giga Pets have sat too long in storage and their screens are pretty much fried, despite the fact that they otherwise seem functional; but it won't do much good if I can't see them properly. (If I tilt the screen at a really intense angle I can make out the display sometimes) I liked Giga Pets more than Tamagotchi because the Giga Pets had way more features and interesting things to do, as well as a wide selection of animal types. Sadly they are no longer in production.
Fun story, the pink Giga Pet in that photo is a Koala. I kept one alive for 100 consecutive days one time. That's an incredibly long time for a Giga Pet. Once he turned 100, we had a birthday party for him with a cake and everything. Not long after that, he died because the batteries got too low. I felt very sad when he departed.
I used to wear these things on a chain around my neck and went everywhere with them. So I had like 3 or 4 of these things hanging off me quite a lot. Again, I was pretty intense with my hyperfixations even as a kid, and I had a strong Collector sort of craving. I had Digimon as well, btw! I enjoyed the battle aspect to them, as primitive as it was. I wonder where the rest of my virtual pet stash is.
Photo 9: The first home computer our family had, the reliable little Macintosh SE. SOMEHOW, when I got this thing out of storage and flipped the switch, it fucking booted up without any problems. I can't tell you how intensely wild that is, this thing is incredibly old and so many things can go wrong with its parts at this age.
A lot of fond memories with this thing. I spent a LOT of time with Hypercard, making my own stacks and games. Played a lot of the original Manhole too. I know for a lot of folks, their first home computer was an Atari, but I grew up with Macs. Back then they were actually wonderful machines, though modern Mac products now leave much to be desired.
That's all for now for the Nostalgia hype.
