Zack X Aerith -- Field Kiss

Heyo! Long time no see!

Well, I'm back to displaying (again) and hoping to do more this weekend and Labor Day. So here is a piece of art with Zack and Aerith sharing a kiss out in the middle of the plain field ❤️

I just adore this Final Fantasy couple! I think (spoiler alert!) during the cutscenes, I always find these two absolutely beautiful together and more sad till the end (the hug during chapter 5 was heart-wrenching ;_;). Now (please don't take this as an offense when I say this ^^;), I've seen a lot of other FF ships based on their preferences, but hey, it's alright. We all gotta respect their shipping preferences as long as we don't stoop up at such low and bring them down is what I say ^^. I will eventually find more shop favs by playing other FF games in the meantime ^^

I did this art during May and hadn't even gotten this done until June or July. That's when my other marker decided to go bone dry. And just now, I've been in art block for quite awhile. Mental health, plans, etc. had me slowing down lol. So we got Fall coming! Hopefully I can lift my courage to draw again and display more ^^. Hopefully Halloween this year won't be too bad. Just got around to play the OG FFVII and decided to get this displayed before bed ^^. I am actually happy how this turned out ❤️

how’s your day going? Okay. I pushed myself more than I should have and my body rebelled so… that was an experience.

are you okay? Not really. But I don’t know when last I was so 🤷🏾‍♀️

are you happy about that? I’m not happy or unhappy about it

what age do you feel in your brain? Depends. Sometimes I’m weary like I’m older than I am and other times, I want an adult but I’M THE ADULT 🫠

do you feel like the good times are behind you or ahead of you? Hm. I wish I had more good times to look back on but I hope I have many more ahead of me.

do you have a best friend? I do!

did you have a childhood pet? Nope

do you sing or whistle around the house? I sing all the time. Lol

do you light candles or incense? Yep. I actually just lit a stick of incense before sitting down to do this.

are you busy Friday night? Just kicking it with my favorite 8.75 year old

if you were a circus performer which act would you be in? Does the ringmaster count? I’d like to dramatically introduce each act

what is your favourite outfit? short summer dress (preferably backless) with a denim jacket and chucks

what's the last thing you created? Hm. I’ve been working on my children’s book again.

what is your favourite fic or book of all time? This is really hard because I read 4 or 5 fics each day for my varied fixations and I could tell you the stories that replay in my mind the most but have no idea what their titles are. I’m sorry, fic writers. I’ll do better!

what are you looking forward to? Nothing

what can put you immediately in a better mood? The sound and feel of the ocean. It grounds me

5 Agere Activities for a Rainy Day (Indoors Edition)

Ciao lovelies! We’re moving into spring here where I am, and with the spring, comes LOTS of rain. There are many outside ideas to do for agere, (and yes, even some rainy day ones!) but today, I’d like to share 5 of my favorite agere activities to do on a rainy day, or on days where I can’t go outside (snow, too hot, etc.)..

All of the ideas I’m sharing today are my personal faves!

Idea #1: Change your doll’s (or stuffies!) outfits….or make them some outfits!

Super old pic, I know (I have wayyy different hair now, lol), but this idea is still one of my faves. Picking new outfits for my dolls is always super fun and sometimes I even have a mini photoshoot with them after changing their looks. I can also turn this idea into a full afternoon of play by setting up a “doll salon” to select their looks and they each get a spray of choice perfumes and hair brushes :) 

If you don’t have clothes for your dolls/stuffies, you can also make them clothing or accessories! I’m aiming to put some tutorials of that sort on the blog and possibly on the Youtube channel soon, but for now, here’s some tutorials that I have already made to get you started:

There are many fun and simple methods for making doll clothing or accessories, I once again have to highly recommend MyFroggyStuff’s Youtube channel for this! She has awesome ideas and she makes it all seem so easy. 

Idea #2: Take a fun Bubble Bath!

Taking a fun and relaxing bath is a nice way to both regress, and practice self-care! You can find cute bath toys like these at dollar stores, and bath bombs, bubble bath, bath fizzies, etc as well! I even love buying the “bath puppets” which are just washcloths that go on your hands like a puppet, and are shaped like animals! I have a sharkie and a froggie. When I take baths or showers, I like to imagine going through a checklist with my scrubby buddy (most often Mr Sharkie) to make sure I get 1000000% clean! Sometimes I even make a little song of this and hum it to myself. :)

It’s also nice having access to fun body washes and soap! My current favorite body wash is scented from “Viva las Vegas SWEET” which is some kind of perfume thing, but it smells like candy, and it looks cute out of the tube! (it’s pink and shimmery 0.0)

I’ve also seen body washes for babyshark, Barbie, and other kids franchises! Oh, and even some grown-ups products are still cute for this too! I have a Hello Kitty sugar scrub that was intended for grown-ups, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t cute anyway! :) Oh, and Crayola makes body wash “crayons” as well, the tubes are crayon shaped and the body washes are colorful!

Okie, okie, that’s a lot of me rambling about baths, sorry >.<

Idea #3: Play Video Games!

Sometimes there’s nothing better than wearing comfy clothes, having a nice snack, and playing video games! On rainy days this activity feels super cozy and wonderful, and there are lots of games out there that are cute and good for agere!

My current faves are Animal Crossing New Horizons on my Switch, Sandbox Coloring App on my phone, Nintendogs on my 3Ds, and Minecraft on my PC! I love that games are on a lot of different devices, so that I can always find something to do~

I think Animal Crossing is a really cool game for age regressors, and the New Horizons one is very cute for a lot of reasons! I can dress my avatar up in cute fashions and i can even buy…..pacis! and…..Cute kawaii dresses!!! :0 You could make your dream agere outfits in this game, and i do it all the time, tbh!

Idea #4: Journaling or Writing in a Diary!

I love love love my regression journal! I use stickers, washi tape, coloring pages, crayons, markers, and more on it, and it’s really freeing to have a journal that doesn’t need to be neat or tidy. My daily journal is also my regression journal, as I am someone who is semi-regressed all the time! :3 I also do vent journal entries in this journal (to share with my therapist), and lists, collages, doodles, info pages…lots of things!

I also want to briefly ramble about my stickers, I have found 2 really good sources of stickers for my journal. The first is a subscription service called Stickii, which sends you a themed sticker pack every month, these packs include stickers from lots of independent artists and I really love each one I’ve gotten so far (I’ve gotten 2 so far.) **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation! 

The second is Blippo Kawaii Shop, which sells sticker mystery bags which I have an opening video of on OFT’s IG! :) I love their selection of kawaii stickers, and it’s always fun getting a package from them. Also… once again: **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation! 

Idea #5: Play with Legos or building blocks! 

Something that I love doing when I am small is playing with building blocks or legos! I like the Minecraft sets or the dollar store legos! :) I use the legos to build things for my mini town and dollhouse, as well as make dollrooms! :) 

Megablocks have larger blocks as well if you regress younger and want something more simple. Also… once again: **DISCLAIMER: I am not sponsored or affiliated with this brand, I just wanted to give a personal recommendation! 

You can use building blocks to make obstacle courses for your minis, specific types of buildings for playing pretend, mecha robots for epic battles…….>.<’ sorry my brain totally went to gundam XD

They also sell building block sets for making iconic characters like pikachu and other pokemon, as well as other anime and game characters! I think this type of block is called a nano block.

🩷 Use pacifiers: For sure! I know real 5-8 year olds don’t typically use pacis, but they’re comforting & help me get into little space (plus they’re super cute)!

🩷 Color/draw: I love drawing both in and out of little space so this is a must for me! Coloring also reminds me of my childhood <3 (Fun fact: my favorite Crayola color is Robin’s Egg Blue!)

🧡 Use a sippy cup: Kinda?? I tried a baby bottle once before and I didn’t like how hard I had to work to drink out of the nipple :0 Might just stick with straw cups

❤️ Wear a bib: I can be a bit of a messy eater sometimes (not just in little space haha), but I don’t really feel the need to wear one

🩵 Wear a onesie: I have a few bodysuits in my closet I could try & would definitely be open to trying a onesie with a cute pattern if I could find my size!

🩷 Cuddle with your stuffies: Of course! Having a soft friend to snuggle with is always nice, especially at bedtime (I also love to snuggle with my kitty cat when he sleeps with me <3)!!

🩵 Wear oversized clothes: I would looove to get some cute oversized shirts to wear! It’s a little tricky to find oversized clothing as a fat person though, especially ones with cutesy patterns

*I don’t consider fat a bad word btw!! I self ID as fat/chubby a lot & consider it a neutral descriptor. I really hate that it’s thought of as such a negative term, but you’re still valid if you’re not comfy using it!! I will probably use it here and there in my posts when talking about myself, so keep that in mind if you follow me & if it’s too triggering for you feel free to unfollow/block if you need <3

🩵 Play dress up: 100 percent! I haven’t tried dressing up in little space yet but I love trying on & imagining cute outfit combos so this would probably be fun! The only possible downside is that sometimes when I’m little (esp if I’m feeling anxious) it makes me uncomfortable to see my grown-up body in the mirror. Anyone else experience this?

🩷 Chew on teething toys: Yeah! I don’t have any actual baby/toddler teething toys but I love my chew necklace!

🩵 Play make believe: Haven’t tried it! I don’t know that I’d do much talking (so far I’ve been a pretty quiet little- some of this is because I live with other people) but I think it could be fun to pretend to be a chef or make potions or something like that! Might be more fun with another little though…

🩵 Play with toys: Another one I haven’t tried! When I was a kid I played with toys a lot though (Littlest Pet Shop, Zoobles, My Little Pony G3, early Monster High, etc. [I wish I had kept my MLP dolls 😭]) and it could be really fulfilling to play again! (Once again this might be more fun with another little)

🩵 Cuddle with your S/O: I’m not in a relationship right now but when I am I’m hugeeeee on cuddling (Perhaps even cuddling’s #1 fan hehe)!!

🩷 Watch cartoons/movies: Absolutely! I’ve always really loved cartoons & watching lighthearted shows/movies (esp from my childhood) are sooo comforting :3 (I watched Bluey for the first time yesterday and really liked it!)

❤️ Wear a diaper: I don’t think wearing one would be physically comfortable for me- I’d rather just use the restroom (If you use diapers you’re valid though!! You’re not dirty or f*tishizing children for needing/wanting them, just remember to practice good hygiene afterward or ask your CG for help if they’re comfortable with it!)

🩷 Go on Tumblr: Yes! I definitely wanna make sure my little space experience isn’t reliant on the Internet (esp since it can be a scary/triggering place for littles) but I love looking at all the fun mood & stimboards and reading about other little’s experiences!

🩵 Have tea parties with stuffies: Never tried it! I think it might feel a little awkward or embarrassing at first since I’m not used to it (same with toys and playing pretend) but it’d be worth a shot!

🩷 Nom baby foods/snacks: Definitely! I haven’t tried baby snacks before but I love to put together little snack plates (It’s extra fun when I use kid plates- I have a bunch of fun plates from my childhood! [My fave is my pink bug plate])! I feel like it’s also encouraged me to eat more fruits and veggies since stuff like carrot sticks and strawberries work so well as finger foods :3

🩷 Have nap time/sleepy time: Yep! I think being little/having a kid-like bedtime routine has helped me fall asleep faster & relieve nighttime anxiety!

❤️ Suck your thumb: Personally I prefer my paci or chew necklace. I imagine it wouldn’t taste very good + you’ll have to deal with a wet wrinkly thumb afterwards >.< (Once again, you’re valid if you do!! Just make sure to wash your hands really good first so you don’t get sick <3)

🩵 Have a caregiver: I would really like to try and find a CG! In practice I could see myself being too embarrassed to fully lean into little space around someone (at least at first). I don’t think I would be super comfortable having an online only CG so I would have to meet someone irl (it sounds scary to be that open about agere/agedre tho!!). I also think I would have to be dating my CG for me to be fully comfortable (mostly because I don’t like to cuddle in platonic-only relationships)!

🩵 Take bubble baths: I haven’t taken a bubble bath in little space yet but I love taking them as big me! Usually I’ll light a candle, drop in some epsom salts and a bath bomb and listen to music! I also have some bubble bath mix to try out soon & may try and find a few bath friends to join me (this is another activity where seeing/being in my adult body might be a little uncomfortable though)

OK my fave movie growing up was 1000% the high school musical movies. i can still recite the first one almost word for word and at one point i had everything (choreo, script, lyrics, mannerisms) memorized for the first two. hsm3 was when i was a little older (like 9 i think) so i wasn’t as heavily into it (bc i got into Grown Up things like charlieissocoollike on youtube and mcr a few years later LMAOOOO) but i still adore her and think of the can i have this dance scene so often. and the scream choreo. zac efron rly did a handstand.

i met mikeyway when i was at work one day <3 and i’ve met a couple of older celebs in the country music industry bc of what my uncle and dad do.

i do!! i collect snow globes of everywhere i’ve been :3 when i was younger i collected webkinz (i literally had 50 something) but then i hit 13 and was like I Am Adult and threw 90% away and i regret it so much (note: if u have a lil kinz mouse c. 2008……hiiii my address is-). i also have a small collection of squishmallows. OMG CDS!! i collect cds but i don’t rly consider it collecting bc i listen to them in my car and on my cd player so it’s just like…a means of music playing? even tho i have prob 100 cds. lmao.

AAAAAA i love nessie!!! also bc i’m from around the area sorta, bigfoot :) i also adore sirens but i don’t think they count as cryptids as much as folklore but that line is veeeeery wobbly.

atm my fave color is green :) not the gross vomit green but a lovely sage. perhaps evergreen. and also pastel greens like mint. seafoam!! and neon!!! i also loooove orange atm! the softer orange like sunsets and not the mean orange :) i love tangerine orange, the orange that the mac n cheese crayola crayon is….yeah <3

omg. i’m not counting the ones my family has performed in (again, uncle and dad lol). i’ve been to probably 20-30 shows? give or take? my fave is mcr nash. also 5sos in 2016 but mcr nash takes the cake 100%.

Drunken Christmas Party Confessions

Pairing: Nishinoya X Reader

Summary: Nishinoya and Tanaka are throwing a Christmas party and maybe he’s had too much ‘hot chocolate’, but you’re really working that ugly sweater.

Notes: This is a college au, so that’s why they have dranks. Thanksgiving is over and it snowed where I live which means it’s officially Christmas. Which means it’s time to write too many Christmas/Winter themed fics.  I don’t make the rules lol

 Nishinoya wasn’t the brightest crayon in the Crayola 64 box sharpener included, but he knew three things for damn sure. When given the option you should never let Shoyo DJ a Christmas party, buying Christmas trees from Amazon is only a good idea if you pay attention to the size chart, and you looked really good in an ugly sweater.

Nishinoya swayed back and forth to the tenth rendition of ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’-apparently the only song Shoyo had on his Christmas playlist-while shamelessly watching you with hooded eyes. You looked so pretty in the ugly reindeer sweater that you’d stolen from his closet ten minutes before this party started. He could practically hear your laugh from across the house as you sling an arm over your stomach, gripping onto Yachi’s shoulder for stability.

He pursed his lips. Yachi’s joke probably wasn’t even that good. Nishinoya was a million times funnier than her for sure.

“Bro, are you even listening?”

“Hah?” Nishinoya rolled his head toward Tanaka who had apparently been talking to him.

How long had he been there?

“I said I think I’m finally going to make a move on Kiyoko,” Tanaka said with a lopsided grin, gazing over Nishinoya’s shoulder where Kiyoko probably was. Nishinoya wrinkled his nose and took a sip of the spiked hot chocolate from his classy red solo cup.

Tanaka must be drunker than he was if he thought this was the first time he was making a move on Kiyoko.

“That sounds super awesome dude.” Nishinoya tuned out Tanaka again, his eyes trailing back to where you were leaning on the false-granite countertop, smiling so wide the corners of your eyes crinkled.

You were so cute. Did you know you were the cutest person to ever exist ever?

“Do you think that’s a good plan?”

“Uh-huh, yeah. For sure.” The corners of Nishinoya’s mouth quirked up when you waved your hands around, your face expressive and your lips moving quickly as you told Yachi a story of some kind. He loved how passionate you got over the littlest things.

“Dude, you’re definitely not listening,” Tanaka was close to Nishinoya’s ear now and if he had his usual reflexes he probably would’ve jumped. “What are you staring at?”

The coolest person in the whole world.

Whoa, he should definitely tell you how awesome you are. You would be so wooed at how profound and suave he was.

Without a word he exited the one-sided conversation with Tanaka, ignoring the offended gasp, and made a wobbly bee-line for the kitchen. He handed off his hot chocolate somewhere along the way to some random party-goer. He was a man on a mission and hadn’t bothered paying attention to who had been the victim.

“....guchi said he tried to pretend it was his brother’s.” Yachi was having a hard time getting through the sentence without laughing, Nishinoya observed once you both were in earshot.

“Why would it be in his closet if it was his brother’s!?” You snorted with another belly aching laugh that made his heart skip.

“That’s what I said!”

“Hello ladies,” Nishinoya slid up against the counter opposite you and Yachi and definitely didn’t miss the ledge with his elbow his first try. That would have been embarrassing.

Yachi’s hand covered her mouth and her body shook lightly. How dare she laugh at his epic moves.

“Hello Noya,” you smiled at him in the way that made his heart feel all funny. Like, when he made a really good receive that made adrenaline course through his veins except he was also wrapped in fluffy blankets on a cotton candy cloud.

He gave you a finger gun and closed one eye in an attempted wink, “I thought this was an ugly sweater party. Not an… uh…” He squinted at the tray of desserts behind you. “Good looking sweater party?”

You blinked at him, not saying a word due to what he assumed was how stunningly swept-off-your-feet you were while Yachi glanced between the both of you adorning a sly smile.

“I’m going to go,” Yachi pointed toward the living room where Nishinoya and Tanaka had placed their pathetic miniature plastic tree. “Talk to you guys later.” She winked at you when she left and Nishinoya felt like he should analyze that one, but he was not up for critical thinking.

“So,” you gave him a once-over which made him smile dopily back at you. “You look like you’ve had a good night.”

“I cannot remember the alphabet.” Nishinoya said confidently, giving you two thumbs up. Another rendition of ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ began playing and Nishinoya whipped his head toward the living room where Shoyo was standing conspicuously near the speaker. “Shoyo, I swear to god!”

“It’s a Christmas classic!” He shouted back, getting in a defensive stance in front of the speaker. “I’ll play it as many times as I want.”

“Not in my house you son of a-” Nishinoya began climbing over the counter for the quickest route to fight the orange-haired punk when you reached out and grabbed his wrist. He looked down at your amused smile with wide eyes.

“Let’s go outside.”

“But it’s snowing,” Nishinoya pointed out the obvious before his slow to process brain realized he’d be alone with you. He nearly fell on his face hopping off the counter. “Outside it is.”

Nishinoya had you walk in front of him to the front door, like he assumed a gentleman would, and behind your back he gave Hinata an ‘I’m watching you’ gesture. Hinata stuck his tongue out and it took every bit of self-control Nishinoya had left to not go over there and teach him why he shouldn’t disrespect his elders.

“Here,” you were offering him his red winter jacket by the time he turned around, already having put yours on. His heart warmed that you had remembered what his coat looked like-ignore you two walked to class together multiple times a week. He still knew you were the smartest and nicest and coolest person ever for bothering to remember that detail about him.

He flung his coat on and trailed after you into the winter night. A shiver racked his body at the drastic temperature change when he stepped onto his snow dusted porch, the white fluff falling lightly from the sky.

Nishinoya loved snowy nights. More specifically he loved how the sky was lighter than it should be, a shade of pink that only seemed to exist during a quiet snowy evening where the snow was sparkling and untouched. Before it became disgustingly dirty from cars on the streets or crushed by people’s footsteps as they walked across campus to classes they dreaded.

He was also a sucker for throwing snowballs at an unsuspecting Tanaka, but that was a separate story.

He had zoned out so hard he hadn’t noticed you brushing off the front step of his porch, clearing off a place for you both to sit. You patted the space beside you and without thought he was already down.

“It’s pretty,” you admired, looking out toward the freshly covered lawn.

“Yeah,” Nishinoya said, focusing on you. Even with the porches overhang the snowfall’s slight angle caused snowflakes to collect on your hair and jacket. He wanted to reach out and touch one, but clenched his fists instead.

You glanced over and caught his blatant staring, but he was too at peace to be embarrassed. He just enjoyed looking at you, especially when your nose and cheeks were painted red from the winter’s cold. Or maybe you were blushing. Maybe you were as affected by his presence as he was yours.

That would be nice.

“I’m happy,” Nishinoya proclaimed, glancing out towards his untouched lawn. He should build a snowman… What was that little thing from that Disney movie? Sven? No that’s not it. He should build that though. That would be sick.

“I’m glad,” your voice came out barely above a whisper and oh yeah he was in the middle of something important. He felt his heart do the skipping thing again that only happened around you. He wondered if you knew the effect you had on him.

Nishinoya gave you a lopsided smile, “I like being with you.” He leaned back on the porch with the support of his hands. “But you make my chest feel funny.”

“Funny?”

“Yeah,” he rubbed his coat over where his heart was currently beating sporadically against his rib cage. “Like, when I do a good Rolling Thunder.”

“I make you feel like Rolling Thunder?”

“No, that doesn’t...” Nishinoya put a hand on his forehead. That wasn’t right at all. He tried to reach past the thick layer of fog in his mind for the right words, but it was too dense. “It’s like… when you’re sick, but then someone makes warm soup and after you eat it you don’t want to vomit anymore!”

You just stared at him which led him to believe he didn’t explain it well.

You were still looking at him with a brow raised and this was turning out to not be his night.

“Um… Oh oh oh! it’s like when you really have to poop and you think somebody else is in the bathroom, but it turns out there’s not! That relief you feel when you finally get to just let it-”

“Okay,” you put a hand over his mouth and his eyes lit up with elation. Hell yeah, he did it. He was fucking shakespeare. A true poet. English classes would be studying this moment for centuries to come. “I have no clue what you’re trying to say.”

“What?” He pulled your hand off his mouth. “How?”

“You just told me I feel like a poop.”

“No, you feel like the relief during the poop, not the poop itself!” He rolled his eyes. It seriously wasn’t a hard concept to grasp.

You blinked several times before your eyes slowly widened in realization. “Are you trying to tell me you like me?” Then a hand flew to your forehead. “Through poop metaphors?”

“There were several metaphors actually but-”

You punched him in the shoulder and he rubbed it with a whine. He had never confessed feelings before, but that probably wasn’t a desired reaction.

“You can’t just do that while you’re drunk, you asshole.”

“Wow, name calling seems a little uncalled for don’t you-”

“I can’t kiss you when you’re drunk.” You let out a frustrated groan and buried your face in your hands. “I can’t even fully trust that you mean it.”

Nishinoya’s jaw went slack. His brain was half functioning, but kissing definitely sounded like good times. Wait, what was that last part? Trusting him for, huh?

“I don’t lie,” he tilted his head slightly confused. “I don’t care if you don’t like me back, but I would never make something like this up to hurt you.”

You peeked up at him wearily, which still made his heart drop a little, but when you nodded he felt better. All that mattered was you trusted him. He didn’t care about much else in the moment. Although that kissing comment had not been overlooked.

“I also…” Your face turned a deeper shade of red than the snowy weather had allowed and Nishinoya definitely settled on you blushing. “Don’t not like you.”

Double negatives was a trip for someone who’s brain wasn’t at full capacity, but he worked it out. He beamed at you and bounced lightly in his seat on the porch step you both resided on. He could easily work with that. More than work with that it was everything he’d wanted.

“We should probably do something about it then,” he suggested, his smile softening as he gazed at you through hooded eyes. “I have a feeling I’ll be hungover tomorrow.”

You cocked your head to the side, clearly confused at his topic change. “A genius observation, yes.”

“We should go get a hangover brunch since I’ll wake up miserable at noon,” he propped himself up by placing his cheek in his palm. “Hangover days are always best when you spend them with your favorite people.”

The corners of your mouth quirked up into a smile as you reached over, brushing some snow out of his hair and lightly trailing your knuckles down his cheeks. “Yeah, sounds like a date.”

Nishinoya hummed in agreement, wanting to do little now beside exist with you and watch the snow as it fell from the midnight sky. He was exhausted. His brain had done way too much work that night and he needed to lay down.

He peeked back over toward you, adorning a content smile on your lips and he sighed deeply.

Nishinoya had never been the brightest volleyball in the basket, but he knew three things for damn sure. After watching a movie over fifteen times he apparently was still incapable of naming the main cast, alcoholic hot chocolate was his new best friend, and he liked you.

He really really liked you.

What's something you believe in that others are skeptical of? Nothing too out there; the only things I can think of are stuff about Asian culture and beliefs that may sound unfamiliar or completely foreign to others.

Do you set goals for yourself each week/month/year? I’m not much of a goal-setter because I beat myself up a lot when I don’t get to accomplish something that I’ve set as an expectation. Instead, I take it day by day and just collect achievements when I get to them.

What was the cause of the worst physical pain you've ever experienced? Technically it was the coral reefs, but it was my own damn fault for snorkeling without flippers that had led to that nasty infection I got on my foot.

Dec 31st, 2008. - My last Christmas at home and the welcoming of this godforsaken decade. I was coming off two years following the worst heartbreak of my life. Trust me, you've never (or maybe hardly ever) heard of this one cuz you don't talk about the ones you hold closest to you. If you think The Farmer was bad...OOOOMPH. Anyway. That night I sent her a long ass letter telling her I couldn't play the game we'd been playing in circles for years anymore and cut off all contact. I'd had long hair my whole life. My parents went out to some fancy party but I was too fucked to care and I stayed home alone that night and cried the entire night. I got a pair of fucking Crayola scissors and cut all my hair off exactly at midnight. If only I had known that was a bad omen for what was to come lol.

December 31st. Five years later. Age 25. The climax of the Farmer Debacle (Part 1). I still haven't let my hair totally grow out for the last five years at this point. I've been rocking the Mohawk for a while. That night I shave my head on NYE cuz fuck that level of heartbreak.

December 31st, 2019. Five years later. Age 30. In between these two big dates The Farmer Debacle (Part 2) happens. Just when I'm getting over that, I make the mistake of trusting someone else which comes to bite me in the ass on December...yet again. This time I dye my hair on December 31st but don't cut it cuz I'm doing the opposite walking into the new decade.

This decade started with heartbreak and me cutting all my hair off. I'm walking into the new one deciding to let it all grow back out cuz I'm leaving all the bullshit behind. None of these three people who spent a whole entire TEN MOTHERFUCKING YEARS breaking my heart knew what they had. At all. Ever. For one second. Their loss tbh. I wasted a whole decade on other people, this next one is for me and ONLY ME. All the shit I've been working towards my entire life is happening in this decade because I'm not letting anyone else distract me from it and, frankly, that's what I allowed to happen for ten years. But that shit is staying in the 2010s. No more of that bullshit my dudes!

When the clock strikes midnight and 2020 rolls around, all three of these women are staying behind and I'm moving forward. No looking back. Not for a second. I'm taking all the shit I learned from all three of those heartbreaks but I'm leaving each of them in the past. I got one more night of being sad in me and then, come Jan 1st 2020, it's POWERHOUSE level mode activated and they (and everything else that was shitty from this past decade) is DONE. Peace. Bye. Adiós.

Happy New Decade all of you. Y'all drive me crazy but I love you.

Tifa (OG) -- Rose

I'm baaaaaaaaack!

Golly, I hadn't even displayed anything for awhile, now ^^;. I've been busy, yes. First time back to displaying after the hiatus! Here is another rose artwork featuring my favorite FF character Tifa Lockhart, in the original FFVII, of course ^^

So wondering why I am not active as much? I was doing another virtual career camp. And I've been dealing with mental health issues for a while. It lasted for days, and I am still trying to recover, but I hope this helps.

Some spoils as I am about to say, for those who hadn't played CC, so yeah, be aware of that lol

I beat Crisis Core Reunion last month just before starting FFVII OG. So I managed to get up to the Minerva optional boss, and holy crap I could not defeat her 0_0. I knew she was going to be hard to defeat 0_0. One of my biggest mistakes is not getting the Genji Shield (which is missable to me, and impossible because I only mastered one Octaslash, and I was not going to take FOREVER to master three more), and possibly not having enough materia to convert to SPs, which I was losing due to the SP materia things I used to prevent more damage. Hey, Ziedrich and SP Turbo or Mastered works! They say Costly Punch works, but it made it a lot worse for my SP and getting damage and die every time without getting a Phoenix Down on time (no offense). Aerial Drain and Jump are slower. Surprisingly (prepare for what it works on her), Darkness works on her. HP wa getting low, but I can be fast on healing, and so I beat her! I gave her multiple tries because I am afraid of how other battles in other FF will be, and I don't want to lose the chance on beating them (Jevil from Deltarune I gave up because he was impossible to defeat XP)

Anyways, so I finished Tifa today, and did I little experiment on coloring and made more designable rather than make my coloring more crappy lol. It's been awhile since drawing her in the OG, and I've been playing the OG for a bit, and so here she is! I started using the Crayola Colors of the World pencils to actually color something more divergent and shadowing her hair and skin. I did her eyes differently because I don't feel like drawing her eyes in my style the way I always draw eyes (I am bad at drawing eyes lol). I am actually really happy how this turned out to be ^^. I actually liked how this piece turned out! ❤️ I just love her, and her characteristics as well in the game (and film) <3. I am still writing my fanfic, just hadn't gotten around to it.

We are supposed to have a tropical storm, so I can get this displayed before potential power outage. There… probably isn't going to be much gaming, unless I can play my 3DS and switch handheld, or write (which I can write my fanfics are awhile if the interent isn't wonky, or so, idk), or read, or draw, or whatever the hell I'm doing. I might be on hiatus again after the storm due to potential outage, so this will be the post before the storm. At least we are prepared, tornadoes are the ones I am worried about, but I'm watching. Day 4: Escapism

I write this again from the day after, sense a trend??

I woke up rather late and it was my day off. I felt a certain craving to get out. Even a single day locked up at home can drag me into a “stare at the ceiling fan for two hours” type depression, so you can imagine the hell quarantine is for me. I doddled into my mom’s room and asked if I could go for a little mental health drive, but she said no, which inadvertently disappointed me greatly. She said I could go bike because the weather was nice, and of course I saltily retorted that it was too cold out of pure annoyance. However, I realized the woman was not wrong. It was pretty nice. So I gathered two of my sisters, Piper, who is 14, and Katie, who is 11. We devised a master plan for our bike ride adventure. We decided to go to a nature area about 15 minutes away by bike. We each brought a backpack and prepared for our journey. When our mom asked us where we were going we kept things vague, because we felt it would be better she not know where we were adventuring. Then we went on our way. It was actually the most beautiful day I think Northern Illinois has seen just about all year long. We made our way up to the Speedway gas station across the street from our destination. Our mom said not to go into any stores, but what is an adventure without snacks?? But to be safe, I decided to sacrifice myself and leave the two kiddos outside. I came back toting chips and candy and big bottles of water. We made our way down a giant hill and into what feels like a whole other world. Definitely a “we’re not in Kansas anymore” type feeling. We went over a giant bridge and onto a path until we came across these giant rocks and decided to take a photoshoot break. It was magic. As kids, Piper and I were homeschooled. We created our own little world for ourselves, pretending we were like the high schoolers on our favorite Disney Channel shows. We made a fake school ( go gophers !! ) and used Mario Kart courses to pretend we were driving. Fictional places like ‘pigboy street’ were definitely not where you wanted to be cruising. But getting lunch at “Joseline Café” was always the move. We painted our fingernails black using crayola crayons and pretended building blocks were our cellphones. And don’t forget our musical careers. “Bailey the famous singer” and “Piper the famous singer” were all the rage. And the “famous singer of the year awards” in our house were always a fiery competition. So much of life was in our heads. I couldn’t help but imagine how excited those little girls would be to find out that they grew up and some of those mundane things they always imagined came true. (OK- maybe not the famous singer part, but that’s alright) We then found a nice little place by the water to have our picnic. We played cards and laughed but I think the highlight was when Katie bit into a Taki and her tooth came out! Thankfully I had some gauze in a first aid kit in my backpack. But it was very fun having to keep her baby tooth in my bag the whole ride home lol. It was a beautiful day, and I was glad to let some sunshine in after days of feeling locked away from the beautiful things in life.

Backstory time

A few people seem interested, so I’ll tell about how I got back into drawing as an adult ^^

I loved drawing in elementary school and a bit in middle school, but then i just...stopped.  I don’t remember why.  That was around 2005.

Fast forward to my first year of college in 2011.  That’s when I got into deviantArt, zelda ask accounts there, and my first online friends due to that community.  I was really lonely being away at college, so talking to these other kids felt so nice especially since my two roommates were awful to me.

Like I mentioned, I LOVED the zelda ask accounts.  I’d just gotten into the game series that year, so it felt like I was talking to celebrities when I’d ask them questions.  It was all in good fun, ofc.  Then, in December, the girl who ran the ask accounts for both Blue Link and Dark Link decided to quit and pass on the accounts to someone else.  Out of the blue, she asked me to be the new Dark Link.  (This is where my online nickname comes from.)

I hadn’t drawn in years, yet she trusted me to take good care of her accounts.  I was incredibly flattered, especially since she was very picky and we didn’t talk much.  Others weren’t too happy only because another girl was supposed to be Dark Link.  It was okay though; she took over the Blue Link account; she and I met that way, and we’re still friends to this day <3

Now, running an ask account for a character did a lot to change my life.  It got me back into drawing, really pushed my roleplaying (which is now my favorite hobby), found me new friends, etc.  But I’m only here to talk about the art aspect.

So...I didn’t know what to do!  I hadn’t drawn in six years!  So I grabbed a pencil and some paper and made a sample Dark Link before I began answering questions (Dec 2011):

Oddly, my second attempt looked very different, and i used it for my first answer (Dec 2011):

All i had at the time were mechanical pencils (which i pressed into the paper too hard), some crayola colored pencils, a sharpie for line work, and computer paper (since it was easiest for me to place onto our computer scanner).  I looked up references like crazy, and I’d flip over my paper and hold it up to the light to check for mistakes.  After I’d scan in the drawing, I’d use a simple photo software that was already on the computer to make the background pure white, and then it’s use MS Paint to fix any line art blemishes I could.

People liked me and I got closer to the friends I’d made, so i had the confidence to keep going!  Also, it was a goal of mine to answer more questions than the previous account holder had.

It took until my 13th answer for me to try a 3/4 view rather than straight on (June 2012):

Fast forward three years, and my 34th answer (thought not my 34th drawing for the account) was when I really felt like i’d finally gotten a handle on drawing DL (March 2015):

A year later, a friend i met in the community gifted me her old tablet, so i was able to start drawing digitally for the first time!  To celebrate, I drew OoT Link as my first drawing (Jan 2016):

It felt incredible seeing my colors look so smooth rather than grainy.  Lining still looked grainy, though, and took a million times longer.  Also, having a plethora of colors to choose from was pressuring.  But overall, i enjoyed the luxuries of using Sai (which i still use) over using paper.

Back on my Dark Link account, it took until answer 38 for me to draw digitally.  But before that, I had done two AU designs for Dark Link and my first collab!  I was feeling like a real artist!  On my main account, I drew some pokemon, which allowed me to practice both lining and shading.  Mewtwo was my first digital shading attempt (Feb 2016):

Shading was kinda fun, but i was so obsessive over the line art, that it took me hoouurs.  It was awful, and i felt like i’d never get faster, though my friend who had the Link ask account encouraged me and gave me advice.  As you’ve seen, my line art got much smoother, and i eventually stopped shading unless i was really in the mood since i didn’t enjoy it enough to make it worth all the effort and time.  And speaking of time, my friend was right; i’ve gotten much faster now.  It may still take me a few hours to sketch a bust sometimes, but that’s better than, say, a few days instead.

I began drawing for other fandoms; just fanart of characters I liked ^^  And i got my first commission in May of 2016.  It blew my mind!!

Okay this is a small break in flow, but here is one of my last drawings of Dark Link i did for that ask account to bookend my development in drawing him vuv (Oct 2016):

Handsome boy.  I still drew perfectly round irises back then, I just noticed.  ...And I never really ended up understanding how to draw his hair lol oh well.

Anyway, when Splatoon came out in 2015 (taking a step backwards in my timeline for a sec), my friends i played with turned the squids they regularly played as into OCs, and i did the same so i could join in.  That was my very first OC.  And because of this, because of having my own character to develop and love and share, i got insanely obsessed and drew more and more and more.

If you paid attention to my drawing dates up above, you’ll notice my OC creation began before I got my tablet.  Boy was it rough figuring out how to draw inklings when you’re an amateur artist with only a pencil.  I’d show my development in drawing inklings, but that’s pretty specific and in too tiny of a time frame.  Buuuut I can at least share my first attempt, mimicking the game’s style (Dec 2015):

I almost quit bothering to draw inklings after that, but then I got the tablet!  And that tablet made me feel like i could draw anything.  Sometimes, it still does...  I mean, look at what i’ve been accomplishing lately (Dec 2016; Sep 2016):

Anyway, here’s where i am today!  I guess what i was lacking as a kid was a real passion for a subject.  Well, i had a CRAZY crush on Danny Phantom in elementary school(?), and I drew him a lot lol, but then I didn’t have anything after him.  But once i found zelda and splatoon, i had reasons to draw again.  Being able to bring my characters to life through my art is more satisfying than i can explain.

Can you name a uniquely named crayon in the Crayola 64 pack? The one color name I have never ever EVER forgotten in the last 15 or so years I’ve been aware of Crayola 64, is macaroni and cheese. I used it a lot solely because of its name. Carnation pink was also pretty unique to me, and I remember being bothered as a kid as to why they didn’t just name it pink lmao. What kind of car did your parents have while you were growing up? We used to have a sky blue Mitsubishi Lancer that was around for a little over a decade. Do you tie your socks together or roll them up? I roll them up and put it in a ball. I am not aware that tying up socks is a thing. When's the last time you had peanut butter? Ooh, safe to say it was many months ago. I don’t really like peanut butter as a filling; I like peanut-butter flavored food more, but I haven’t had those in a while, either. What was your last bad date? It’s been a while. My girlfriend and I barely see each other, so we try not to fight in the 1-2 times a week that we get to hang out.

Do you ever wish your birthday was on a different day? In 2019 I certainly wished it was on a different day, because my birthday then was on the same day as Easter and none of my friends were available to celebrate with me – save for Angela who went great lengths to make sure she at least had dinner with me and made me feel less sucky. What holiday would you want to have your birthday on? I’d never want to have my birthday on a holiday again, if that last answer wasn’t clear enough. Have you ever gone snorkeling or scuba diving? I’ve gone snorkeling in Boracay and Palawan, and that one time we went on a beach trip for biology class in high school. I’ve never tried scuba diving, and I’m a little anxious to give it a shot if ever because I feel like it’s a little more complicated to follow than just snorkeling.

Allow me to be a kid in answering this, because the genuinely coolest creatures I have ever seen are the Nemo and Dory kinds of fish :)))))) Do you sunburn easily? As a kid yes. They used to hurt a lot too. I don’t sunburn at all now but I do get very tan. What's your favorite filling in chocolates? Peanut butter. When's the last time you had a smore? Sometime in senior year of high school. I had a brief phase of liking smores, but then I ordered it too much and I got tired of it quickly. Have you read the Twilight series? More times than I could count. Does your best friend have any phobias? Not really a phobia but Gabie doesn’t like being in malls as they are closing because she gets scared of the sound of the roll-up doors getting pulled down. She says she feels like she’ll get trapped inside the mall hahaha. What's the last thing you said to your mom? I asked her if she wanted a kind of snack I know she likes, since I’ll be passing by the store that has them. Why couldn't you go to sleep the last time you were up all night? I’d definitely insert a tribute to my significant other’s dad as a second name, but I’m still not 100% sure on a first name. Do you cook anything you don't like eating? I can’t even cook food that I do like, lmao. What's the last picture you colored? It’s a photo of a group of houses, which is a page in an adult coloring book that I own. Do you watch any reality shows on MTV or VH1? I never did. Would you have a better chance of surviving in the Sahara or Alaska? Sahara. I’m in a tropical climate, so I feel like I’d have some survival hacks somewhere hot. I don’t know how winter works at all, and what to prepare for it. When's the last time you pet a cat? Last night, when I played with the only kind cat in my college. Were you missing your front teeth as a child? My front teeth were the first ones to fall out, so for a time I was missing them, yes. They grew back after a few months though, as did my other teeth. Do you remember Eureka's Castle on Nick JR? Are you wearing a necklace? Nopes. Do you have any noticeable moles or birthmarks? I have a birthmark behind my left shoulder that’s visible when I’m wearing a sleeveless top, and a mole on my right arm. Is there a salon you religously go to for beauty care? No. Quite the opposite situation actually - I haven’t been to a salon since 2018 :/ Count to ten in another language. I know two other languages (Filipino and Korean), so I’ll just give both of theirs haha. I didn’t know how babies were made until I was in Grade 6, and before that I just thought all women who got married got pregnant automatically, as if the body knows.

What's the first instrument you ever played? That I don’t necessarily know how to play? My best guess is the piano. My mom took photos of me when I was a year old playing the grand piano at my aunt’s house, so that was probably the first. Are you a mommy's child or daddy's child? Daddy’s girl, for sure. What's the last thing you wore around your neck? A lanyard holding my car keys. My ID used to be attached to the lanyard but I’ve since lost it, so now it’s my keys that hang from it. Would you ever eat rhino meat? Like once, just to try it out and because I’m more of an adventurous eater. Who do you think deserves an award? Me, after finishing the shitstorm that was last week lol. Have you ever had a friend break up with a bf/gf for you? No. Do you own any books with a red cover? Yeah.
