I didn't include The Nativity because that's not like an original story that the writers came up with, and went with the closest to a full-length play from the drama festival (although personally I'd love to see the second act of Max's kitchen sink drama)

Chris Bean just told me off in the middle of a show

When the character voice is so good it makes my real accent seem fake

*at intermission, chatting with the audience in-character. My voice for Trevor is a Cockney accent + a lower masculine register*

Lady: *waves me over* "Excuse me.... where are you from?"

Me, still in the accent: "Illinois." (Where I grew up, though I don't live there now)

Lady, shocked: "You're NOT!"

Me: "Come to the meet and greet after the show, you'll hear my actual voice. You won't guess it."

*later, after the show*

Lady: *comes up to me* "So let's hear it!"

Me, in my regular voice: "Here's my regular speaking voice. Pretty different, right?"

Lady: "..."

Lady: "You still sound like you're from somewhere else..."

Me: "Well, I don't know what to tell you, I grew up in Illinois."

Lady: "Hm."

i’m in awe- genuinely one of the best shows i’ve ever seen! massive shout out to the beautiful set, the little details like trevor’s tech booth posters to the intricate engineering of the collapse had me wowed. i laughed for two hours straight, every gag is so intricately planned and written to appeal to comedy fans and theatre nerds alike. so happy i’ve finally seen this hilarious, joyful show.

my favourite actor is nathan lane, and my top 5 favourite musicals are anything goes, the frogs, operation mincemeat, hamilton, and beetlejuice!

i’m a massive fan of mischief theatre and all their projects, and that will therefore be the main focus of this blog <3

"It's really sad how easily you lie to us Rob," Jonathan murmurs mournfully from the other side of the room where he’s handcuffed to the wall.

From the other wall Max shakes his head, "You said you were a magician.”

"Look, the only reason you can't find a record-"

"Not even a review!" Annie crows smugly.

"Is because one doesn't exist." Sandra finishes for him, earning a glare from Robert that would have anyone else backing into a corner.

Robert grits his teeth, twisting against the handcuffs as though his frustration can give him enough power to break forth from where he's trapped, "It was a long time ago."

"We're all going to die-" Dennis cries out as the doors remained closed and the water started to pool in.

“-We’re not going to die! I can pick these locks any minute-”

“We’re all going to die.” Vanessa seems resolved to her watery grave with all of the elegant tragedy of a renaissance painting.

“No one’s going to die-” Chris’s voice echoes from the speakers above them, “This is a team bonding exercise, you’re all perfectly safe.”
