i find that the chris x max dynamic in cornley is so funny to me because chris can be freely exasperated by dennis being the way he is but he has to live with the fact that max is actually quite apt and talented, he just chooses to be a Fucking Idiot™ for fun

You know what one of my favourite things is about fanfic? It can transform any piece of media into a completely different genre. You can get an 100k introspective exploration of depression and self-loathing that's based on one character from a sitcom. You can get a cute 'beach episode' oneshot that uses the characters from a dark horror film. You can get found family from a romance, romance from a found family, all sorts of wonderful variations of one story. And I think it just shows how incredible humanity is, that we all look at one book, one episode, one film and interpret and create things from them in completely different ways. And this has become a ramble now but don't you just love humanity sometimes

A Goes Wrong Show Poll!

Recently, I showed both my parents and my best friend many/all of the Goes Wrong Show episodes (plus Christmas Carol and Peter Pan), and they all had sort of different responses to what they enjoyed about the show.

So, I decided I’d come to Tumblr and ask fandom opinion on why (if at all) you enjoy the show, and what generation you’re from!

Since amounts of options are limited and you can only put in one poll per post, if you could indicate which option you picked and what generation you’re from, that would be greatly appreciated!! I’m really just curious about what type of comedy hits with people.

Forgive me for the format of the poll, it’s prolly the most clunky way of doing it, but I really wasn’t sure how else to do it.

Someone, anyone, PLEASE talk to me about Mischief Theatre/the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society because I’ve seen Peter Pan Goes Wrong live, I’ve seen The Play That Goes Wrong TWICE, I’ve seen Mind Mangler and Good Luck Studios and I’ve watched every episode of The Goes Wrong Show at least three times, god knows how many times I’ve watched the recordings of Peter Pan Goes Wrong and A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. I know all the lore and loads of quotes, I’ve even watched most of the Goes Wrong Alongs and the shorter pieces they made like the Children in Need social distancing piece, I just need to TALK ABOUT IT because I’ve run out of people to watch the show with at this point 😭

I didn't include The Nativity because that's not like an original story that the writers came up with, and went with the closest to a full-length play from the drama festival (although personally I'd love to see the second act of Max's kitchen sink drama)
