One fic I don’t see talked about enough is “Drink it to the Bitter End” by BattleAngel on ao3.
Like, it’s so good???? And while I personally can’t have a say, I’ve heard a lot of others talk about how well the Dissociative Identity Disorder representation is written. That, with the character writing, trauma writing, and over all story makes it such a phenomenal fan fiction???
For people wanting to know more:
It’s a Izuku-centric fic with platonic/qpr tododeku, parental Aizawa, vigilante Deku, and Eri.
There are a LOT of tw’s tho, such as r*pe/non-con (not descriptively written, but very present), body mutilation, ped0philia, human trafficking, suicide/suicidal thoughts (attempted, but not successfully), physical, emotional, and mental torture, death/murder, gore, sensory deprivation, insanity, and probably a few more I’ve forgotten about.
Basically, All for One is Izuku’s dad, and kinda uses him as a puppet. Pushes him towards vigilante-ism at 9 yrs old. Izuku ends up with DID (or, a quirk that works like dnd(stockpiling souls)). He still gets OfA but literally doesn’t know where it came from due to AfO/DID induced amnesia. Each alter has their own quirk from OfA (ex. Izuku has black whip, one has the OG strength, another has Danger Sense, you get the gist). He doesn’t find out about this quirk until after the USJ tho.
Basically BASICALLY, Dad For One Izuku has trauma and DID, chaos ensues.

Could I request platonic dads Izuku and Shoto taking their toddler out for to the park and get’s caught by one of their fans?

You loved the park. You lit up at even the idea of going down to the park. You loved the slides, trying to climb up the small rock wall, and your favorite was the swings! Your dads never objected to this though, usually taking days off when the other was working to be with you. Your dads loved taking you to the park though, they loved how you smiled as you played.
Shoto and Izuku sit on a nearby bench watching you collect leaves from the ground in your hands. You run over to your dads, immediately handing off your pile of leaves to Izuku.
“Why, thank you” He chuckles watching you run back onto the playground. “More?” You ask, leaning down to grab more. “No, sweetie, I have enough leaves” He laughs watching you walk over to the slide before pointing up at it.
Shoto gets up, going over to place you on the slide. You were still too young to climb up the ladder onto the slide. “You want papa to catch you?” He asks, placing you at the top of the slide.
They caught you as you got to the end of the slide as they were worried about you landing in the wood chips and accidentally hurting yourself.
You hum, before sliding down giggling as you do so before Izuku catches you. “Shoto?” A girl in her teens calls out, two friends with her. They thought they could let down their guard a bit as the playground was secluded but it seems not. He turns around to face them, Izuku holding you, keeping your face against his shoulder as he leaves to go to the car.
“It’s really you. Can we get a picture?” She asks, star struck by seeing a top pro-hero in real life. “Not today, it’s a bad time” He says flatly, he was never one to be incredibly welcoming to fans. Especially outside of his hours.
Luckily Izuku pulled up at the right time, you peaking up to the window from your car seat. You almost threw a fit about having to leave the park so suddenly but Izuku promised you ice cream. “Uhm, have a nice day” Shoto says to the fans before leaving to get into the car.
They were very serious about protecting your identity so they couldn’t believe they weren’t more careful even if the playground was quiet and secluded. You peak up at the window, waving at the fans as Izuku drives off.
They only hoped that they wouldn’t talk about seeing you with other people. They had seen rumors like that lead to paparazzi being involved and interview questions about their home lifes with other heros.
Perhaps they should get you a playground or play set for the yard, then you would be safer.

Shouto: we didn’t win anything sadly
Izuku: I’m sorry for not answering earlier, I forgot humans exist and had an existential crisis

Hey there, First off I wanted to say I love your work! Second my request is a platonic yandere TodoDeku taking care of a sick reader who cant hold down food or eat anything but the reader just cant seem to get better no matter what medication they use? I could use some comfort for that because I'm currently dealing with that haha.
YANDERE PRO HERO IZUKU X SICK READER X YANDERE PRO HERO TODOROKI
TW VOMIT AND IV
Tumblr media
Izukus keys jingled as he unlocked the front door to the shared home between him and his husband, and you. The door was heavily secured in case you ever tried to run, not that you would, or could. The house was quiet, usually there was the lingering sound of the tv left on, or the kittens mewing. But no. Just the sound of still air remaining still.
“I’m home! Y/n? Todo?” He called out, usually one of the two came to greet him at the door, usually todoroki, but occasionally you when you needed something. Todoroki got home about an hour or so earlier than izuku , so usually dinner was already either prepared or ordered, and you were ready for bed. He was used to the sound of you talking with your papa when he got home, used to the sound of the toys he’d gotton you rattling. But recently it’s been different, he couldn’t remember when it started, when you got like this. All he really knew is it happened fast and abrupt, all of a sudden you were always exhausted, it even took a lot of coaxing to get you out of bed in the mornings, you could barely stomach an apple, and you pretty much avoided eating in general in fear of vomiting. You were sick. And it wasn’t getting better.
They’d placed monitors all over the house, security cameras that were connected to a small device similar to a baby monitor, it was just a safety precaution, or it was supposed to be. They’d never noticed how soundless you were, how you barely moved, probably in attempts to relieve the aching in your bones. It worried both of them to no end at how your body was eating itself from the inside out in place for food.
What was even worse was that they didn’t know what to do about it. They couldn’t get another doctor because you might act out and try to free yourself, but neither of them had enough medical experience to help you. Really help you.
Nowadays todoroki didn’t have time to cook anything for dinner when he first got home, he was too worried about the fact that you haven’t moved from the position he left you in this morning, about the fact that the lunch and snacks the two husbands had left you for the day went mainly untouched. And how the Meds that you were supposed to be taking just made you feel sick instead of any better. When he came home today he could feel the tension in the air, he the world around felt void, how the rooms life had just been sucked out.
They don’t know when this depressive episode of yours started, at least they thought it was a depressive episode. At first they believed it was you rebelling against them, going on somewhat of a hunger strike to try and get them to let you go. So naturally they punished you, took away the cats and the tv and the books. But that did very little in stopping you, at some point the way you stared off into space forced them into realizing something was very wrong.
Izuku pulled off his coat and shoes at the door, putting his keys up on the highest shelve that he knew you couldn’t reach. His other hand clutched at a bag of some of your favorite takeout food, or what used to be your favorite at least. He just needed you to eat something, hopefully this might help. He was lost in the endless tombs of his brain, thought being the only thing consuming him. Then he heard it, heard you. And he dropped the bag, dropped his coat from his hands, and ran to your room.
Soft sobs could be what’d through the home monitors, his phone blinked with a red light, indicating that you were actually moving, making noise. When he opened the door, his heart almost broke. You were sitting in a corner, rolled into a fetal position, hiccuping and sniffling, you had your hand pressed to your mouth in attempts to quiet yourself, you were far too consumed by your own feelings to notice him. There was a small plastic container on the table with a few mango slices left in it, and a small puddle of… stomach liquid on the other side of the room. It only took him a few seconds to connect the dots. And he was immediately on you.
“Oh my baby- it’s okay it’s okay don’t cry, daddy’s here now. I’m so sorry you got sick- I know it feels bad. Can you tell me what happened sweetheart?” He cooed , using his sleeve to wipe the corner of your mouth, and picking you up with his strong arms. As he held you tight and close in his comforting embrace, you didn’t fight, usually you would at least put a little squirming into it, but you were far too weak to even try.
“I just- I was really hungry so I tried to- I tried to- and then after my stomach hurt really bad and I got really sick and I couldn’t make it to the bathroom an- I’m so sorry I got- I got it in the carpet” you spoke through your sobs, clutching close to him, you just had felt so good today, like you were getting better. So against your better judgment , you actually ate most of the mango your dads had left for you, then your body seemed to remember it was sick before your brain did, and before you knew it you were hunched over clutching your stomach, hurling out whatever you’d just eaten.
It was just so humiliating, to not understand what was happening to you. That’s why you’d been crying, Izuku knew how you felt about all of this, that’s why he’s been so lenient when you have sass or snap at him. Because you’re hurting. It’s these moments when he knows it best, he let you wrap your legs around his waist and stick your head between the crook of his shoulder, his hands went up and down on your back soothingly, and he bounced slightly on his feet in order to calm you. You would probably make yourself sick again with all of this crying.
“Oh my poor baby- I’m so so sorry this keeps happening. I promise Me and papa are gonna find a way to make this better” he clutched you tight to him, and although you wished you wanted to fight him, scratch his eyes out and take this moment of softness to run. You didn’t, your body felt as if it was made of lead, and your eyes struggled to stay open, and you just felt so. utterly. sick.
So instead you clutched his shirt, and leaned into him. A husky cough left your lips at the pressure he put on your back, which did nothing but made you cry more. The thought of them making you better scared you, they’d tried everything, who knows what crazy solutions are left.
“I-I don’t wanna see a doctor again. Please don’t make me I- I can’t” you pleased of the man, drawing out any sympathy he might’ve held for you, he did know how much you suffered because of whatever this sickness was. Supposedly it was because of stress, after all getting kidnapped by two random strangers who overpower you and force you into being their child harms you mentally, and in turn, physically.
“Don’t worry baby. Your father will have his brother come instead of one of those scary doctors. I know I know you don’t like him either ,but we need you to be seen okay? If you’re good I’ll let you watch one of those horror movies you like. The rated r ones?” He coaxed, beginning to lay small pats on your back in order to prevent a freak out, you didn’t like doctors, at least not the ones he brought you to. Which was understandable, usually he would offer tot ale you out for ice cream, but as you were currently… not eating, this was the next best option.
You grunted and nudged your head closer to the knook of his shoulder, letting him hold you tight. You were still quite focused on holding your remaining nausea down.
“I’ll take that as a yes then? Hm?”he questioned with a little laugh, trying to lighten your mood. It didn’t.
“…yes”
———
It took a few hours for both todoroki and natsuo to get here, natsuo took a little convincing to treat you. He loves you, don’t get him wrong, you’re his favorite little niece, but now that they had taken you against your will and kept you in a cage. It just felt wrong to help his little brother. Still. He supposed it was worse to have you be kidnapped and fatally ill than to just be kidnapped. So begrudgingly he came.
Shoto had warned him that you would be much less than happy to talk to him, and it might be possible that you would have to be restrained. But in the end he agreed.
You heard your two fathers talking to your uncle outside your room, a gruesome horror movie played on the small tv in front of you, an older one that should’ve made you squirm and cringe at the violence and gore occurring, still, you watched intently, almost with a smile. The door opening snapped you out of your stare. The bed next to you dipped down as somebody sat, no doubt your fathers older brother natsuo.
You didn’t hate the man, in fact before all this the two of you knew eachother quite well. But like everybody else, he chose to standby as your two “fathers” confined you here. So you always held some remorse for him.
You were tied down with silk straps, wrapped tightly, but still comfortably. In a position that had you facing the tv. It honestly wasn’t that bad, as you were comfortable and the ropes were soft. It did make you feel mildly vulnerable around this man, but you’ve known natsuo since you were little, and you trusted him. At least you hoped you could. Then again, trusting people had only gotton you kidnapped and put in one of the worst mental states of your life so…
“Hey sweetheart… so, you’ve been having some trouble eating. Right?” He asked, trying to keep his voice as monotone as possible, he’d known that you would look bad, after all you hadn’t eaten in weeks and you were going through severe depression and dissociation. But… god. You looked dead honestly, devoid of all life but somehow still living. The way you did nothing but nod to his question only further proved his point.
“We’ll, I already know you’ve been quite stressed, I completely understand as this is such an environment change for you. But there are also a few physical illnesses that this could be. I’m just gonna ask a few questions alright? Are you okay with that?” He (obviously) did most of the taking, as almost the entirety of your attention was on the movie playing in front of you. It was obvious he was trying to make you feel like you were in charge here. Like you could tell him to leave and he would.
You knew that wasn’t true though.
He asked a wide variety of questions about how you felt when you ate, was it full, was it empty. He also asked about what you had eaten last before all of this started. You’d answered truthfully, after all you did want to get better so you could stop feeling so weak all the time.
The more he spoke to you, the more his voice became a lullaby. The movie in front of you continued with its display of blood and guts, it combined with the way natsuos voice droned, and just pulled you further and further towards sleep. It was actually quite nice.
The last thing you remembered before drifting of was getting a warm hug from the man, and then some talking outside, even a little crying from whom you presumed was midoria.
Then, nothing.
———
When you woke up, you hadn’t been restrained anymore. And you were sitting in a soft chair, one that you had recognized as the one next to your parents bed. A cat sat in your lap, you stared down at it, still half asleep, it made you happy.
Then, as you came to consciousness, you began to be painstakingly aware of how you were feeling. The nausea was gone, and so was the emptiness, but now… now there was this fuzzy feeling all around your body. And there was such a sharp pain in your arm, it felt like it was stabbing you repeatedly.
Then you saw what it was, and THAT woke you up.
There was a bag rested on a large pole next to you, with some liquid inside of it. The bag was feeding into a pipe which went into your arm. A thin needle was pressed into the knook of your elbow.
No no no no no. They did not put a fucking needle in your arm. They wouldn’t. Who knows what the hell is in that bag? They could be pumping you with fucking drugs all day and you wouldn’t even knows You panicked and tried pulling at it, doing absolutely anything to keep the stupid thing from pumping whatever that was into your blood.
Pulling at the pipe and patch hurt far too much for you to continue, so you just sat and stared at the IV. It made you sick thinking about what they did to you while you were happily sleeping. They fucking stabbed you. With a needle. Your vision began to blur and your hearing went fuzzy as a panic attack pulsed through your senses.
You were able to hear small footsteps, and then somebody grabbed and picked you up.
“No no no- don’t do that baby. It’s there to help you- oh I know you don’t like it. I know baby- We should’ve told you about it. But it’s here to help you sweetheart. No don’t cry- it’s okay” todoroki hushed as you clawed at the small patch on your arm, he held you tight, which actually helped a little bit, as it stopped you from pulling the IV out.
Even though you wanted the stupid little needle out of your arm, the sight of your blood would make you panic further. Todoroki knew this, so he chose to just let you wriggle and squirm in his arms as opposed to making yourself bleed.
Isn’t that funny. You love watching those little films filled with blood and gore, but the second you shed any of your own blood ,you panic. How cute.
He had known that the needle and the bag would make you freak out, but both him and his husband had figured that this was a better option than a feeding tube (that would really freak you out). And although it upset you, it was for your well-being, and you would have to understand that.
Their intentions were innocent too, they didn’t drug you, all they wanted was for you to be healthy. They just want you to be safe and happy and healthy, they just want you to feel okay.
They just wanted to nurse you back into the girl they fell in love with all those years ago.
And you…
You would get used to it if it meant you started feeling better.
You would have to.

What I find so charming about most Midoriya ships is how it's basically just teenagers in love. There's no "I'll kill for you" or "I'll die for you", it's just two high school students being wholesome friends.
Like, the most extreme Midoriya ship that I can think of (minus bakudeku which is a whole other can of worms that I refuse to ever open) is tododeku and even then it's mostly because of how they become friends. But after the UA sports festival, they basically just become wholesome friends. Some of my favourite tododeku moments are just them hanging out and being goofy friends.
And then of course there's izuocha, which is like...the most mundane pairing ever (I say this in the best way possible of course)?? Like, sure, some of their moments become more extreme as the story itself raises its stakes, but at their core izuocha is literally just your typical high school love story. They're literally just children in love and I adore that.
This logic pretty much applies to any other Midoriya pairing that I can think of (again minus bakudeku). Shindeku? Kamideku? Kirideku? Serodeku? Midotsuyu? Ojideku (severely underrated pairing btw)? They can all be reduced down to "idiot teenagers being friends/in love" and I love it so much.
This might be an unpopular take but all these "us against the world" and "I'm willing to kill anyone, including myself, to save you" dynamics can get pretty extreme and tiring when oversaturated. Sometimes I just want some simple straightforward dynamics, y'know? Like, I'm a sucker for angst but sometimes the most compelling angst comes from the most realistic situations.

Shigaraki stealing the child from Tododeku in every way he can. Sometimes even going out of his way to cradle his little on in his own den with his mate. He would break into every new den the two made a bit further away so that Shigaraki won't reach them. But he does anyway.
Shigaraki being pissed and going away in the middle of the night just to return smiling when he presents their little one to Dabi ince again. And Dabi just sighing but not saying anything about it since he loves the child as much as Tomura.
Yep, Shigaraki is a little shit when it comes to that. Deku and Todoroki could move to the ends of the earth and Shiggy would still find them.
3/10 visits end in a scrap fight between Deku and Shiggy while Todoroki is holding Y/N like a annoyed and tired parent.
Dabi mildly endorses Shigaraki’s behavior, mostly for shits and giggles. He’ll make a one off comment about how their nest feels so empty without Reader and Shiggy will be like: BRB, gonna go get our bby.

(This in reference to this post, talking about how Katsuki and Todoroki would react if Izuku died.)
@missvoicecrack thanks for the question! I got your ask about this too but I had already started on this post so I’m just going to answer everything here!
I don’t think their dynamic is necessarily a ‘parent/child’ kind of thing but something more akin to Toru and Yuki’s dynamic from Fruits Basket.
If you haven’t watched or read Fruits Basket, basically Yuki’s parents never really treated him like he was their child and he really yearned for any kind of loving affection, and ended up finding that in Toru. She cared about his problems when everyone else thought they were silly and thought he was spoiled, so he kinda started to see her as a motherly figure and would go to her for caring affection, and less romantic affection. And I feel like it’s kind of like that with Izuku and Todoroki as well.
Izuku was kind of put in the middle of Todoroki and Endeavors issues, and instead of staying out of it, he took the issue upon himself and reassured Todoroki that he’s his own person, which is something he hadn’t heard since he was like five, coming from his mother. Izuku showed him care when everyone else just saw him as nothing more than a cold pretty boy at the time.
Izuku, like Toru, definitely doesn’t see Todoroki as his son or anything, but Todoroki associates Izuku with his mother, and that’s why I feel like if Izuku died one day, it’d feel similar to mourning a parent.
Izuku’s words at the sports festival unintentionally shaped Todoroki into the hero that he turned into. If Izuku had never told him anything, he probably would’ve ended up like Touya, and the parallels make it pretty clear that that would’ve been the case. Just dedicating his life to hating his father.
But that didn’t happen. Because Izuku showed him who he really was. Reminding him that he can separate himself from his lineage and that he has nothing to prove to his father.
Katsuki tried to do the same thing but, he doesn’t have a way with words like Izuku does… at least not at the time. Trying to be encouraging isn’t really his strong suit. He said he didn’t care about Todoroki’s familial issues, and I think that’s what made his words not speak to him like Izuku’s did.
I hate to say it, but in that moment, Katsuki probably reminded him of Endeavor. Telling him to “use his flames” like his dad says, while it felt like Izuku was actively avoiding using the words “left side” and “your flames” when trying to get him to use them. He used phrases more like “give me all you got” “use your full power” and “I’m giving it my all, like you should be.” He knew saying anything his father says would’ve triggered a negative reaction, while Katsuki—on the opposite end—had hoped that negative reaction would be Todoroki getting angry enough to use his flames anyway, not out of inspiration, but out of rage.
It just kind of shows how careful Izuku actually was with the situation, he wasn’t just spouting things and hoping it’d work out.
But yeah. That’s basically all I have to say, and that’s why I think what I think :)

i think why i love and will never let tododeku die (in my eyes) is because i feel like that relationship is so balanced. both characters have experienced trauma, both need understanding partners. both need to examine their feelings and get in touch with their feminine sides. we see izuku does that for shoto at the sports fest. i think shoto could do the same for izuku (canonically or only in headcanon, it doesn't matter, the personality traits are there).
i know if izuku is allowed to be queer in canon, he'll most likely be paired with katsuki based on what's happening in the story atm. but, while i love what's happening with those two in terms of katsuki apologizing and them reconciling their relationship, it still feels a little off romantically. it feels more platonic (to me at least). but that does not mean it's any less important than a romantic relationship. i think platonic bakudeku is super necessary for both characters. they need each other.
but romantically, i just see tododeku making more sense.
(this is from a relationship anarchy perspective. i understand society views romantic/sexual relationships as the pinnacle of life, but i disagree. i think certain platonic/queerplatonic relationships can be as much/more important than romantic/sexual relationships. so that's what i mean when i say platonic bakudeku is important.)

Their kidnappers had guns. Katsuki may have only been 5 years old, yet he wasn't dumb. He knew he wouldn't stand a chance. So, he watched the men leave, internally cursing at himself for not being able to do anything. A loud clank resonated inside the room as he and 13 other kids were officially locked in.
From beside him, Izuku, in a very wet, shaky voice, asked: “Kacchan, what would All Might do?”
Alt: 12 years prior to canon, 58 kids are kidnapped across Japan. Amongst the unlucky ones are Bakugou, Midoriya, and Shinsou, who are soon after forced to undergo training to become villains. However, nothing goes according to the League's plans - and the kidnappings end up causing a massive butterfly effect.

Fandom: BNHA
Ship: Hawks x Deku
The latter was thrown on the floor with a gentle thumb, an armful of a small body was placed in his arms. Immediately, Keigo's hands found themselves wrapping around properly, giving him a sense of security, his magnificent crimson wings also ended up in the mix to wrap around the vulnerable kid.
Seeing the turn of events, Izuku took the chance and also properly settled his arms around the winged hero, he rested his head at the crook of the man's neck. Finally-- and finally after weeks, let himself rest. Hawks was strangely warm, not as much as Shouchan's left side, yet it comforted him the same way.
He suspected it must be because of Hawks' avian quirk. To reach such sky highs, the quirk should provide it's host with high temperature, unless he would end up freezes to death. The Winged Hero's winter clothes made sense, given to this theory; they were added to double insure to prevent such event. Izuku remembered the man's interview on his Quirk, he thought it's just wings -- his quirk. Yet it's obvious they're certainly not: his territorial behavior, the natural eye-marks, his more than normal curiosity, and now the high body temperature. They resulted on the man having an actual bird quirk -- possibly a Red-tailed Hawk. Or a Falcon. Possibly a mix. Though Izuku couldn't help but to wonder, if it was possible that the man was a mix of more than these two birds, and not just birds of prey --
Izuku was snapped out of his head, when fingers started running through his black-green inky-looking hair. He now just realized the new position they were at: on their sides, Hawks was resting his face on his head, his head was ducked under the man's chin, his own cheek pressed on the blond's firm chest. Izuku blinked, he felt soft materials...When-when did they end up on a bed?! He stared up at one set of electrum half lidded eyes.
Back to Hawks, his eyes were starting to drift in, he blinked his eyes more than three times to not fall asleep over the mumbling. A soft, lazy and fond smile was plastered over his lips. Give it to Midoriya to come up with the most unique analysis of your quirk. He himself never put much thought on his quirk's origins.
One set of Emerald eyes looked up at him, the greent's face looked so rosy. Keigo couldn't help himself. He pecked the baby-faced hero on the cheek.
The blush he got was priceless. And more precious than that? It was the shyness.
The boy hid himself as much as he could on his chest. Refusing to look up. Adorable...
And if he felt a certain Erasure Hero's heated glare on himself, it didn't matter at all. Not at all.

Love Notes, Pining Corners
SUMMARY: You had always known, Shouto-kun was the absolute useless boy in matters of love so you decided to help him out this Valentine's day with his love problems.
AO3 LINK: Love Notes, Pining Corners
“So, Shouto-kun, how is it going over in the pining corner?” You asked, leaning on his shoulder a bit.
Shouto jerked off from his dream world, probably filled with a lot of Midoriyas and frowned, then hissed at you, “Shut it. He might listen. And get off me.”
You grinned at him and then moved away from him a bit, that you were no longer leaning on him, but instead standing beside him.
“Shouto-kun, don’t be so mean,” you teased.
“I’ll stop being mean to you when you stop meddling in my personal life (Y/n),” he snarked back at you. And with that, he went back to staring at what, or rather who he was staring at before.
Your eyes followed his line of sight and wandered to the person he was looking at.
Midoriya Izuku. He was staring at Midoriya Izuku while sitting in his deep, dark, denial and pining corner of the world.
You heard a sigh beside you and you heard Shouto speak up, “He looks so pretty when he is in the sun. His eyes just glowed when the sun’s rays hit his face. And his hair is so fluffy.”
You looked over at Shouto and tried to reign in your snickers at his expression. Which was like a person looking at the sun after being kept in a dark room for days. This was fitting because Midoriya was like the sun, smiling so much and melting Shouto’s icy exterior at the beginning of the year. Another look at Shouto and you decided the next course of your actions.
“Midoriya, hi,” you shouted and Shouto jerked into the real world as he heard the shout.
“(Y/n), what are you doing?” He hissed at you.
You ignored him, as he had been doing to you before. Served him right and then you started again, “Hey Midoriya, can we come over?”
When Midoriya gave a go for you two to come, you dragged Shouto along, ignoring all of his complaints about how you were betraying him.
“Hey Midoriya, what are your plans for today?” You asked him, trying to emit an air of a person without any ulterior motives, to begin with.
Shouto looked wide-eyed at the straight attempt you had made and then moved to hiss close to your ears but you moved further away from him, moving towards Izuku.
“No,” Midoriya said, a little confused at what you were starting with but you ignored all the looks that you were receiving from them. Surely, they make a perfect pair with how many judgemental looks they passed you.
“Well, I have been asking Shouto to go out more nowadays, but he seriously never listens to me,” you say, giving a stink eye to Shouto as you continued, “Midoriya, please do me a favour and take this boy out.”
Midoriya looked startled at the offer a bit but then composed himself enough and said, “Su..sure (Y/n)-kun. I’ll take Todoroki-kun out.”
You grinned at him and then you leaned into Shouto and whispered in his ears, “I got you a date. Make sure you let him know about it.”
You left both of them wide-eyed and then moved toward Kaminari and Kirishima to join in their heated conversation about which game was the best.
                                                     ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
(Y/n)
Todoroki, how was your date?
Shoutoto
It wasn’t a date (Y/n). How many times do I have to tell you that?
(Y/n)
So that means you chickened out again at the last possible minute again, didn’t you Shouto-kun?
Todoroki huffed and pouted a bit before he could type out a reply to the line. He could not exactly deny what you were saying and not even exactly agree to it. He was stuck in delirium but then he pondered a bit and typed out a reply.
Shoutoto
I did. Any ideas on what I can do?
There were the three dots in a chatting bubble that showed that you were typing. He waited in anticipation and then he saw your message.
(Y/n)
Let’s meet up tomorrow at the café near my house. I have some suggestions.
                                                  ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You were waiting in the café for Shouto. It wasn’t a café, per se, but the coffee was good and animals were allowed here too so you just liked coming here a lot.
And you knew Shouto did too, even if he never vocalized his thoughts much on what he liked or not.
As you saw Shouto enter the café hesitantly, you waved him over to where you were sitting. He slowly walked over to you and smiled a bit when he saw what, or who you had near you.
A tiny, spiky pomeranian had draped itself all over your lap and made itself comfortable. You were slowly petting its fur as you grinned at Shouto and said, “Meet Tsuki. He is the owner’s dog but she usually lets him roam free and he drapes himself over anyone he likes. Anyways, have a seat.” You pointed to the seat in front of you and then moved all the papers you had come with to one side so that he could sit comfortably.
“So, first tell me how your meet-up went?” You asked, while slowly putting Tsuki in a more comfortable position on your lap.
Shouto looked flighty for a bit but then he started, “It went well, I suppose. We went to the fair that is happening. We played a few games, rode on some rides and ate some food and then returned home.”
You looked yearningly at what you had heard. You had hoped to go to the fair, but you supposed that you would have more fun with friends so you stopped yourself and now, you had missed the opportunity.
“Well, I would count that as a successful date in my books,” you said, grinning back at him. “I mean, you could have confessed on the Ferris wheel and then kissed at the top. Just like in the movies,” you teased as he turned a shade of red that could rival any strawberry.
“What happened that you could not confess, Shou-kun?” You asked, a bit more seriously and he said with a sigh, “I guess, I just couldn’t. I mean, a lot of things can happen. Midoriya may not like me back and one of my closest friends would just drift away.”
You supposed that could be one of the scenarios but the chances of it happening was pretty slim. You had seen how Midoriya looked at Shouto. Like some god had graced his presence.
What was worse was that Shouto could not see it. And then, how were you supposed to bring these two together? A light bulb went off and you said, “Listen closely, Shouto-kun. I have a plan.”
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
“(Y/n), I kill you and then kill myself if this doesn’t work,” Shouto hissed at you as you waited for the class to clear out so that you could launch your master plan in action.
You ignored him and waved goodbye to Yao-momo and Jirou as they left class and you whispered back, “The plan will work if you do your thing properly, baka .”
As everyone left the class for Heroics, you two stayed behind. You two positioned yourselves according to the plan that you had made. Shouto near Midoriya’s desk to offer roses to him as a secret admirer and you on the lookout. You gave a thumbs-up to him as he hesitantly put down a rose on Midoriya’s table beside which was a note that you had written with an over exaggerated handwriting and with that both of you left class.
You were walking back with Tsuyu when you heard a shriek from within the class. Both of you looked at each other and then ran straight to class when you noticed that Midoriya was holding the rose that Shouto had put on his table and you relaxed.
The others teased him while you leaned on the doorway and offered Shouto a grin at the far end while he smiled back gently at you.
Day one of the mission was a success!
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Day two, you supposed was going to be a wild one. Knowing Shouto, you had to stop him from buying actual wedding rings for Izuku who just looked dejected and a bit confused and asked you, “Why can’t I buy these?”
You looked at him incredulously and asked him, “You do know those are wedding rings, right Shouto?” He looked blankly at you and you asked him again, “Right Shouto?”
In the end, you were the one that had picked up the ring.
Shouto gave it a critical once over and then looked at you with a confused look and tilted his head and asked, “This is not a ring. Why am I giving this to him?”
You gave him a stink eye and said, “Well, not all of us can give wedding rings so this has to suffice. Anyway, this one is useful, at the very least.”
And here you were putting the ring on Midoriya’s table as you passed it while leaving the class because Shouto refused to put such an ugly ring on Midoriya’s desk . The nerve of the guy.
Today though, by the time you returned, the commotion had settled down in class and you could not see Midoriya’s reactions so you turned to Shouto to see his expression. His eyes met yours and he begrudgingly put a thumbs up at you and pointed at the ring on Midoriya’s finger.
You grinned and sat down on your seat as Aizawa-sensei entered the class.
Day two of your mission was a success too!
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
“Shouto-kun, do you even know what money is?” You asked him as you were standing outside the chocolate shop while Shouto was doing his best to pick up the most expensive chocolate in the shop.
“Midoriya deserves the best,” he said like the person who had decided on everything, “besides it's not affecting my pockets,” he brandished a credit card and continued, “it’s affecting Endeavor’s credit card.”
Your eyes widened and then you said, “So you really wouldn’t mind if I picked up a few chocolates, would you Shouto-kun?”
He thought for a moment and then shrugged and said, “Go wild.”
“Thank you so much”, and with that, you bounded over to collect chocolates for you.
You supposed nothing would go wrong with today so you let him set up all the things he needed for today and left him all alone. That had been one of your mistakes. Leaving Shouto to prepare for his crush.
So, when you returned from the training a bit later than your classmates you had gotten the shock of your life. Along with the multitude of chocolates he had gotten for Midoriya, he also had put some other properly wrapped valentine’s chocolates on his table, probably which he had received.
You looked with horror at the scene in front of you while Midoriya looked more surprised every second that was passing, which was kind of amazing.
Ojiro, who was the nearest person to you, looked at you and said, “Wow, someone must really like Midoriya a lot.”
You schooled your expression into something more normal and then replied, “Yeah, someone must really like him a lot.”
At least day three of your plan was successful, you supposed.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You let out a big yawn as you rubbed your eyes while Shouto stood beside you choosing teddies. You both had left your houses early on this occasion and you were pretty sleepy while Shouto continued to be indecisive.
“Hey, Shouto-kun, choose one and let’s go. Aizawa-sensei will get mad at us if we’re late,” you said.
“But I haven’t chosen one yet,” he replied.
“I’ll choose one for you. Just pay for it on the counter.”
He nodded and left for the counter while you quickly picked up the little green teddy that was in front of you and moved towards Shouto.
As you two left the shop, he reached his hands out for the teddy but you said, “Today we’ll do something different. Leave it to me.”
He gave a questioning look but relented to your demands and both of you rushed off to UA so that you would not be late.
The day passed by without any hitchbacks except for the passing looks and questioning looks that Shouto gave you. At the end, when all of you were about to head to the dorm, you caught up with Midoriya and said, “Hey Midoriya, can I talk to you for a sec.” You looked at Uraraka beside him and said to her, “I’ll take him for a while and return him soon,” and with that, you dragged him off.
As you dragged Midoriya away, he gave out a string of protests but you were now a master at ignoring them (mainly because Shouto always protested) and you reached a secluded corner. While Midoriya was too dazed to say anything, you reached for the green teddy in your bag and pulled it out and handed it to him.
Midoriya opened his mouth to speak but you cut him off so that you would not have an awkward conversation with your best friend’s crush.
“It’s not from me,” you said and continued, “a friend asked me to give this to you.”
Midoriya hesitantly accepted the gift and said, “Is it the same friend that has been giving me a rose, the ring and the chocolates?” You grinned at him and said, “Bingo, Midoriya. I’ll be going now.”
As you were about to leave, Midoriya grabbed your hands and asked, “Are you and Todoroki-kun dating?”
You looked at him incredulously and exclaimed, “Him! I mean, he’s handsome and all, but he’s a friend. He’s single by the way.” With a wink, you were off, leaving Midoriya blushing, behind the tree.
Day four of the mission was a success!
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
“I suppose you really can’t do much on promise day,” you said, leaning behind on the couch as you were talking to Mina.
“Are you confessing to someone, (Y/n)-kun?” She asked, with excitement clearly visible on her face.
“Nah,” you shrugged, “I’m helping someone to confess who turned out to be too chicken to do it themself.” You let out a deep sigh and stretched yourself on the couch.
Mina leaned back into her seat and said, “Well, you could tell them to leave out a promise for the person they are trying to woo.”
Your eyes lit up and you sat up suddenly and said, “Thanks a lot Mina, I owe you one.” With that, you rushed to Shouto’s bedroom to tell him about the plan for tomorrow.
“Do you really think this will work,” Shouto asked, giving you a very judgemental look as you passed him the bottle.
“Of course, I made the plan,” you said with confidence.
Shouto gave another look to the bottle and then he shoved it in his bag so you counted that as a win.
The next day you waited eagerly for Shouto to give his present to Izuku when you heard, “Midoriya, I would die for you.”
You slapped your hands to your forehead as you heard Midoriya panicking and Bakugou shouting die, his favourite word and you noticed that in the midst of all the confusion, Shouto slipped the bottle into Midoriya’s bag and turned around to give you a thumbs-up before Bakugou ran towards him and Shouto faced him in a fighting stance.
Well, your work was done there so you quickly took hold of Midoriya and walked out on them before their fighting became too explosive. Nitroglycerine and fire don’t mix really well, you thought as you saw the bright, big explosion far away.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Never think that anything that includes Shouto will go easily, you thought as you looked onto the scene in front of you. The only way you could describe the scene in front of you was disastrous .
Shouto was moving around Midoriya, going around him but he wasn’t saying anything. While Midoriya, who you sympathized with right now, was looking awkwardly when Shouto decided what to do next and put his arms around Midoriya.
Now, what you knew about your classmates was usually blackmail materials or gossip but the one thing that you knew for sure about Midoriya was that he was somebody who blushed very hard, and often.
And you knew that Shouto hugging him so suddenly would result in a disaster so you shielded your face as Midoriya’s powers appeared and there was a loud crack and Midoriya’s soft Ouch was heard before Todoroki snapped back and accidentally activated his fire powers.
You slapped your forehead and thought to yourself why you were spending any time with losers.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You made sure that Shouto didn’t do anything drastic the next day after yesterday’s disaster.
Like how would you even know that hugging could be lethal? You mean, you had hugged so many people in your life before and now that you have two disasters of human beings in front of you, you knew how lethal it could be.
So, you did what was most sensible for any friend to do. You carried the plan all on your own without informing Shouto anything about it. Shouto pouted at you a lot, but you won the war against it.
As you slowly entered the class to see if anyone was there or not, you quickly moved towards Midoriya’s desk to drop the packet on it and, making sure no one saw you, rushed back to your seat.
The thing about today’s packet was special. You had made it less copious than the beginning when Shouto tried and also made sure what inside was liked by him and put a small note on it saying, “To the bravest friend I know who is also a bone-breaker.”
Small, yet heartfelt. Your work for today was done.
And for being a helper to Shouto. Tomorrow, it would be all up to him to be brave, you thought as you saw the small smile that graced Midoriya’s face, lighting up his eyes.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
The thing with Valentine’s Day every year was that you always spent it alone. Dating didn’t have much appeal in your eyes and you preferred to enjoy it on yourself, a self-care day.
You waited for the day to end, the time Shouto would finally take Midoriya to a corner and confess his undying love for him. You saw Shouto hesitantly talking with Midoriya and saw him getting up to walk beside Todoroki. You smiled at yourself and made a move to put everything in your bag.
Your work was done and now you were going to your room and spending the rest of the day on your phone when you felt a tap on your shoulder and you turned around and saw Midoriya standing behind you. Before you could say anything he pulled you into a hug and whispered into your ears, “Thank you!”
You smiled at him and gave a thumbs-up to Shouto and turned around to exit the class when you heard Mina call out your name. You stopped and glanced at her curiously. She said, “We are going to the carnival today. Come along with us.” You looked at the people she was pointing at and she continued, “Aizawa-sensei gave us a free pass to go out of the dorms today and we are going to use it to the fullest.”
You grinned at her and said, “Of course, I’ve been wanting to go to the carnival forever.” Mina grinned and swung an arm around your shoulder.
You may have spent your previous Valentine’s day alone but this time, you thought at all the smiling, smirking and grinning faces of your classmates, this time you were going to spend it with so many people.
