Platonic Yandere Whitebeard Pirates x GN Child Reader

Summary: Your life of isolation on an abandoned island is interrupted when a mistake leads to you being spotted by some pirates.
Warnings: brief descriptions of death and violence, starvation, drugging, forced adoption, platonic yanderes
Creeping closer to the shoreline left your nerves rattled. While it wasnât unheard of for pirates to stop at this island, youâve never seen a ship so big before. You stare in awe and fear at the behemoth of a ship stationed not far from the shore.
From your hiding spot under some brush, youâve seen several pirates leave the ship and disperse throughout the island. Presumably, they were looking for food. They wouldnât find much. This has been a bad year for fruit and berries, and the few animals that called this island home were getting harder and harder to catch.
Frustration ate away at you. There was so little for you to eat as is, and these people were about to steal what was left. You were already starving, and now itâs about to get worse. Still, you werenât stupid enough to confront them about it. Talking to pirates was a dangerous idea⊠you learned that lesson the hard way.
Being stranded wasnât so bad at first. You still had your mom and dad, and they took care of the bulk of the work. Theyâd built the treehouse that you call home and taught you how to survive. While they were always trying to flag down passing ships for help, youâd never cared all that much about it. You could barely even remember what civilization was like anymore, so you felt no real desire to go back to it. Being alone with your family was all that you knew, and the idea of anything else felt scary.
Everything came crashing down the day that some pirates docked at the island. Your parents told you to stay put in the treehouse and approached the crew to beg them for a ride back home. Following them was something you would go on to regret for the rest of your life. Despite your family being nothing but kind and respectful⊠they were brutalized. All you could do was watch in terror as your parents were beaten to death for âbotheringâ the pirates.
You hated pirates.Â
Dragging your parentsâ battered bodies back home was a grueling effort. They were so much bigger than you were, and you couldnât stop crying as you looked at their bodies. If you hadn't seen it happen, you wouldnât have even been sure it was them. Then you had to dig their graves with your bare hands. It took all day to get both of the holes deep enough to put them into. You brought over the biggest rocks you could carry as a way to mark where they were so you would never forget.
Ever since that day, youâve been completely alone. It was hard. So much harder than you ever imagined. Itâs not like you didnât know how much your parents had done for you while they were still alive, but it was completely different having to now do all of it by yourself without any guidance.Â
Gathering and storing rainwater was all up to you, getting food was all up to you, starting fires to cook meat and keep warm was all up to you. There were many points during the first year by yourself where you thought you were going to die. Miraculously, you managed to survive and settle into your independent role. Youâve survived on your own for a little over three years now by following your instincts and what your parents taught you. Today was the first time youâve considered going against one of your rules.
You knew that your next course of action should be to leave and hide out until these pirates get off the island. Getting as close as you already have was needlessly risky, but you couldnât help it. They were cooking up a bunch of food on the beach and it smelled amazing. Your stomach growled and you were salivating as the aroma of cooking meat assaulted your senses. Maybe itâs because you were starving from struggling to forage this year, but you couldnât bring yourself to leave.
It was stupid⊠but you need food. If theyâre going to take your food, then why shouldnât you take some of theirs? The guy that had been cooking left a little while ago to go back to the ship for something, and no one else was around. If you were quick⊠This should be fine.
After taking another glance around to confirm that no one would see you, you spring out of the bushes and sprint for where the food is. There are several tables littered with food. You skid to a stop in front of one and grab the first thing that you see. Crouching down behind the table, you examine your find. Itâs brown and has a tough, yet crumbly exterior. When you squeeze it, it gives easily and crackles under the force of your hands. Without a second of hesitation, you bring it to your mouth and bite into it. The inside is white and much softer. Itâs simultaneously chewy and crunchy, and you love it. Your eyes start to grow wet as you chew it.
It tastes so good.
The rest of it is eaten in seconds, and then you grab more of these things off the table and stuff them into your bag that you carry with you everywhere. As much as you want to sample everything now, you have no idea how much time you have before someone comes back. Getting caught was not an option. If pirates killed your parents just for speaking to them, you didnât want to find out what they would do to someone who stole from them.
Random food is stuffed into your bag as you frantically look around for signs of someone coming back. You approach the fire that has meat roasting over it. Your mouth watered as you smelled it from so close up. You reach for it, then pull your hand away. It would make more sense to cut off a piece with your knife. Grabbing something thatâs roasting over an open fire will just burn your hand.
You drop to your knees and try to find your hunting knife in your bag. Just as you find it, you hear something. Footsteps. Your heart hammers in your chest and you frantically scramble under the nearest table. Peeking out from under the table, you see the cook coming back with a basket in his arms. He drops it on a table, then walks over to where the meat is cooking and checks on it.
One of your hands clutches your knife, while the other covers your nose and mouth to keep yourself quiet. Your heart is pounding in your chest so loud that youâre scared heâs going to hear it.
The man approaches the table youâre under and stops moving. You shake in fear, thinking youâve been found. He lets out an exasperated sigh and calls out, âCan you people not wait ten minutes before pillaging?!â He grumbles under his breath about bottomless pits and starts to turn away, only to stop when he hears something.
Your stomach growling.
Trying to clutch your stomach does nothing. Itâs too late now. You can only hope that he didnât actually hear that, but it was so loud. What feels like hours pass in the tensest silence of your life, then a hand shoots under the table and grabs your arm before hauling you out into the open.
Youâre effortlessly brought up to eye level with the cook, who stares at you with a baffled expression. His mouth opens and closes a few times before words actually come out. âWho⊠Where did you come from?â
Finally, your instincts override your terror, and you slash at him with your knife. His arms are so long that you canât even reach him, but the action is still enough to be startling and make him drop you. The second you hit the ground, you run. You duck under the table to grab your bag and then take off towards the woods.
âHey, wait! Come back!â
The cook tries to run after you, but youâre able to easily lose him once you enter the forest. There are plenty of tight squeezes that you know someone his size wonât be able to fit through. Itâs not long before youâve stopped hearing his voice and you can finally slow down. You lean against a tree as you catch your breath.
Normally, you wouldnât get exhausted so easily, but your emaciated body couldnât handle much exertion anymore. You pant hard and cough loudly as you sink to the ground. Internally, you curse at yourself for being so weak. You need to get back to the treehouse. Just because that one guy gave up didnât mean that there wouldnât be others.
Forcing yourself to get back on your feet, you continue the trek back home. You pull out another one of those brown things from your bag and start munching on it. This one tastes just as good as the last, and you canât help but wonder what it is. It isnât like anything youâve ever had before.Â
As you walk, you hear something strange. You freeze and look around. It sounds like⊠a bird? But the flap of the wings is much louder than youâre used to. You whip your head around frantically while trying to identify the source.
Then you see it. A giant, blue bird was flying overhead. And it looked like it was on fire. You watch, slack jawed, as it lands on a branch above your head and peers down at you. It isnât behaving aggressively, but that isnât enough to quell your fear. That bird could easily swoop down and pick you up, and its talons looked like they were as long as your fingers. You start walking backwards while keeping your eyes locked on the animal. You arenât far from your treehouse now. If you could just get in there, you should be safe. That giant bird looked too big to fit inside.
Much to your horror, the bird starts following you from a distance. Its actions arenât necessarily predatory yet, but you figure thatâs only because itâs trying to decide if youâre worth the effort to prey on or not. It takes effort to not run, but youâve learned over the years that doing that will only encourage the animal to attack. You walk at a brisk pace while watching the bird as closely as you can while periodically glancing over your shoulder to make sure that youâre still going the right way.
Youâre relieved when you see your treehouse come into view, only to quickly become distressed when the bird lands on one of the branches supporting it. This is enough to give you pause about entering it. You really donât want to get too close to that bird. It could easily carry you away if it was able to grab you⊠but it hasnât behaved like a predator at all yet. Maybe itâs just curious and will go away once you get inside?
Taking a deep breath to settle your rattled nerves, you start climbing up the tree. There used to be a rope ladder, but it fell apart about a year ago, so now youâre stuck scaling the tree using its trunk, branches and the vines growing on it.
Once again, your weakened state was taking a heavy toll on you. Normally, you could get from the forest floor to the treehouse in a matter of seconds. Today, after your previous run and the fast paced walking you did, you were so exhausted that you had to take a break halfway up. A vine is tightly clutched in your shaky hands to help keep you steady as you sit on one of the branches, trying to catch your breath and get your head to stop spinning.
The familiar sound of heavy wings flapping cuts through the air again, and you look up in hopes that youâll see that weird bird flying away. The bird flies behind the tree, then comes around and lands on another branch. The one that youâre on.Â
The branch dips under the added weight of the large bird, forcing you to hold onto the vine tighter to keep from falling. Your heart was pounding again as the creature inched closer to you. Youâre frozen in fear and stuck staring up at it as its head cranes over to you. The way its eyes examine you feels weird. It seems so⊠calculated. Intelligent. Birdsâ eyes have never looked so purposeful to you.
Now that itâs so close, you canât help but be drawn to the markings around its eyes. The way that the purple feathers frame them reminds you of the glasses that your father wore. The reminder makes your chest feel weird, so you quickly dismiss it. This isnât a good time to be getting sentimental. You need to get into your treehouse before those pirates spot you, or this bird decides that it wants to eat you.
Using a burst of energy brought on by your desire to not become a snack, you frantically close the gap between you and your home. The bird doesnât lunge after you, much to your relief, but you still slam the hatch shut as soon as you get through the hole in the floor that acts as the entrance to your treehouse. You collapse on the floor, gasping for breath and coughing loudly between each ragged inhale.
You freeze and snap your head up when you hear the bird take off, and you wonder if itâs about to attack your home. Itâs so large that you think it would be able to cave in the roof just from landing on it. Much to your relief, however, the flaps of its powerful wings grow more and more faint as the animal flies away from your home. Your head falls back onto the floor as the tension finally leaves your body.
It takes a while for you to recover from your exhaustion enough to get to your feet. When you do, you trudge over to the pile of fabrics and furs that make up your bed and fall onto it. You slide your bag off your shoulder and rip open the flap so you can finally sate your appetite with your findings.
Everything is okay. Youâre safe for now.
At first, all you can do is gawk at how much food you have. Youâve never had so much food at once. Itâs almost overwhelming to have so many options in front of you in such a plentiful amount.
Snapping out of your choice paralysis, you grab something that you think is a fruit. Itâs bright orange, and the skin feels thick and textured. You sniff it, but the smell isnât all that strong. Experimentally, you bite into it. The skin is tough, but once your teeth break through, juice squirts out and drips down your hands and into your mouth. The taste is like nothing youâve ever had before. Itâs so strong and sweet and it makes your mouth feel funny, but in a good way. You rip out the chunk you bit into and chew it. The skin doesnât taste very good, and you wonder if youâre even supposed to eat it. You pick off pieces of the skin until you can bite into just the flesh of the fruit. When you do, you feel like your previous assumption about the skin was correct. Eating the flesh directly was infinitely better with the skin out of the way.
You make quick work of the rest of the fruit. Your hands and face are sticky, but youâre feeling happy for once. You took a major risk stealing this stuff, but it felt worth it. Your stomach was going to be full, and you got to taste new things, even if it would be just this once. Youâre about to dive back into your bag of goodies, but then you hear it.
Footsteps. Lots of them.Â
Your previous elation is gone in an instant and replaced with raw fear. You unsheath your hunting knife and drop into a crawl. You go over to where thereâs a small split in the wall for you to peer out of without risking being seen. As you squint through the crack, your heart drops into your stomach when you see three people approaching the tree your home is in. One of them is the cook that saw you earlier. You start to panic, realizing that youâve been hunted down.
This is it for you. Youâre about to suffer the same fate as your parents because you got careless.Â
You scurry backwards until your back is against one of the walls. Thereâs only one way in and out of this treehouse: the hatch on the floor. It isnât very big, only one person can climb through at a time. Maybe, just maybe, youâll be able to take them on as each comes through. Itâs unlikely, but this is your only chance. You refuse to just roll over and let them kill you. If you die today, youâll go down fighting.
The walls muffle noise from the outside, making it impossible for you to make out whatâs being said. What you can hear loud and clear is someone scaling up the tree. The branches creak loudly under that personâs weight as they easily climb up. In mere seconds, you see the hatch get pushed up and to the side. Your fingers squeeze around the hilt of your knife in preparation for what you need to do.
A head pokes through. A man with dark hair and freckles on his face peers around your treehouse. He chuckles quietly and mutters to himself, âThis really takes me back.â
He starts to haul himself through the hole, and thatâs when you finally spring into action. You lunge at him with a snarl and bring your blade down on his neck with all your might. At least you tried to.Â
With seemingly no effort, the man grabs your wrist, effectively bringing you to a halt. His grip is impossibly strong. You try to pull away, but he wonât budge. You expect the man to snap your arm or hit you with an attack of his own, but he barely even reacts to you. He keeps a firm, yet surprisingly painless, grip on you while he finishes climbing into your home. He speaks to you in a casual tone, âRelax, kid. No oneâs here to hurt you.â
Your wrist is released, but he snatches your knife out of your hand and closely examines it. He runs his thumb along the edge and laughs a little. âDamn, I didnât even need to block. This thing is so dull that I donât think it would have been able to cut me.â When he looks back up at you, you scramble back, completely terrified from how easily this guy disarmed you. The man notes your apparent terror and sets down your knife before holding his hands up, âHey, take it easy. I promise Iâm not going to hurt you. No one will.â A hand is extended toward you. The hand is open and relaxed. âIâm Ace. Whatâs your name?â
All that you do is stare at him. Youâre not sure what heâs doing. Does he expect you to give him something after he already took your knife?Â
The smile that he was sporting drops slightly, and he retracts his hand. âNot much for handshakes? Can you at least tell me your name?â Again, you just stare at him. You donât know why heâs behaving the way he is, which only makes you more anxious. Aceâs smile droops more. âCan you talk? Do you understand what Iâm saying?â
You decide to answer his last question with a tense nod. The response makes his smile return and he appears to be oddly relieved for reasons that you canât fathom.
Ace scoots closer to you while pulling something off of his belt. âThatâs good. I was starting to get worried that Iâd have to act out everything.â He removes the top from the thing he pulled off his belt and holds it out to you. You canât see whatâs inside it from where youâre crouched, but you can see steam coming out of it. âHere, I brought something for you.â
When you donât make a move to take it from him, he sighs and sets it down on the floor before moving back. âNo need to be so suspicious, kid. Thatch warmed up some milk and honey for you. He thought you could use it.â
You donât know what milk or honey is. Is it food? Accepting something from a pirate feels like a bad idea, but you get the feeling that he doesnât plan to go away until you do. And with him blocking the way out and also having your only usable weapon, you feel like you donât really have a choice here.
Carefully, you creep forward. Your eyes stay trained on Ace as you do. His own eyes are flitting around your home. The lack of focus on you helped soothe your nerves slightly, but you still scrambled back frantically once you were able to grab the weird cup-thing. It was warm to the touch, and the stuff inside was white. You sniff at it, and your stomach growls in response to the comforting aroma. You take an experimental sip. The taste is sweet and soothing, but also weirdly familiar. An old memory tickled at the back of your mind, but not clearly enough to fully remember it. Have you had this âmilk and honeyâ before? Maybe before your family became stranded on this island?
Immediately, you tilt the cup up and start gulping it down greedily, wanting to drink it all before Ace could try and take it back. Itâs gone in a matter of seconds. Despite just being a drink, it felt oddly filling. You feel disappointed that itâs gone already, but you donât want to push your luck by asking for more.
Aceâs shoulders relax when you finish the drink, though youâre not sure why. He attempts to converse with you again. âSee? Iâm not so bad, right? I donât suppose you want to tell me your name now, do you?â
Sharing your name feels weird. Your parents were the only people who ever knew it, and a part of you wants to keep it that way. But⊠Ace has been strangely nice to you. Maybe it wonât be a bad thing to tell him.
â... (Y/N).â
Your voice croaks and your throat aches from just saying the one word. Now that you think about it⊠you donât think youâve spoken since your parents died. There hasnât been a reason to since that fateful day..
The noticeable pain in your voice caught Aceâs attention, and he frowned. He moves closer to you again. While you do tense up, you donât move away, which he appears to take as a good sign. He moves even closer to you and speaks up again, âYou look pretty hungry, (Y/N). Thatch brought some food for you.â
This makes you perk up and glance around his person, trying to figure out where heâs keeping the food at. He picks up on that and laughs lightly. âI donât have it. If you want it⊠you have to come with me. Okay?â
As soon as he says that, you recoil. While he had earned a little bit of trust, it wasnât enough to make you blindly follow him.
Aceâs hand shoots out and grabs yours before you can back away too much. His grip is firm, but not crushing. He squeezes it gently and speaks in a calm voice, âYou donât have to go far. You just have to come down from this tree. Thatch and Marco are waiting at the bottom.â When you donât look convinced and instead keep trying to pull away, he drags you over to the hole in the floor and guides you to look down. The other two people you saw before are standing by the base of the tree. They smile warmly and wave at you.
âThey just want to see you and make sure youâre okay. Can you please come down so they can do that?â
Your instincts are screaming at you to not agree and stay up here. Youâve already taken too many risks today, and this feels like an insane idea. Youâre already vulnerable purely from your physical state, but you would also be outnumbered three-to-one if you go down there.
But, whatâs stopping them from coming up if you donât cooperate? It feels like youâre already caught, so maybe you should just do whatever they say so as to not upset them
With significant hesitation, you give Ace an affirmative nod, which makes him grin widely. You expect for him to start climbing down so you could follow him. Rather than that, he abruptly picks you up and drops out of the hole. You squawk in surprise and flail as both of you fall. Your eyes screw shut and you brace for impact, only for him to somehow slow down just before he lands. It almost sounds like thereâs a fire for a moment, but by the time your eyes open so you can look, the noise is gone.
And youâre surrounded by three pirates.Â
You shrink in on yourself as the other two stare at you. They donât look angry, but you feel scared of them regardless. Ace sets you down on the ground, then gently pushes you towards them.
The tall cook that you ran from earlier crouches down and smiles widely at you. Even now, he towers over you, prompting you to lean back against Ace. Your wariness does nothing to deter the cook. He pulls out a small box and holds it out to you.
âHey there! Iâm Thatch. You gave me quite the surprise earlier. I thought for sure it was Ace getting into the food early.â When you donât take the box, he pulls the lid off and shows whatâs inside. Thereâs a bunch of food densely packed into it, and the wave of smells that hits you leaves your mouth watering.Â
Your restraint dies on the spot, and you quickly snatch the box out of his hands and grab a handful of food before stuffing it into your mouth. You glance up at Thatch while youâre chewing and see him holding out some tiny, shiny thing with some points on the end.
He chuckles and stuffs it back in his pocket while returning to his full height, âI guess we can teach you about silverware later.â
While you eat, you keep your back pressed against Aceâs legs. Youâre only half paying attention as the men talk amongst themselves.
Thatch spoke first, âCan they talk?â
âA little. I got them to tell me their name, but it sounds like the kid hasnât said anything in forever. Their name is (Y/N).â
The blonde man, who youâre assuming has to be Marco, kneels down and starts examining you closely. His glasses reminded you a little bit of the bird you saw earlier. His scrutinizing gaze makes you hold your box of food tighter and turn away from him slightly. This makes him chuckle and speak to you in a soothing voice, âIâm not going to take it. I just want to get a good look at you so I can make sure youâre okay.â
His hand touches your hair and lifts clumps of it up. You wince as the matted sections of hair tug at your scalp. You used to keep your hair cut short but were forced to stop when your knife became so dull that it couldnât really cut through anymore.
Marco hummed quietly and muttered under his breath, âMight be best to just shave it all off.â He dropped the hair clumps and moved on to examining your face. His eyes zeroed in on something in particular, and he frowns. âDid you break your nose?â
The question brings you back to a time shortly after your parentsâ death. Your father had done the majority of the hunting when he was still alive, and he would use his rifle to take down some of the larger animals on the island. You had tried using it to kill a hog, but that ended horribly. Not only had you missed, but the gun jerked backwards and slammed right into your nose with a loud crack. When you managed to get to a stream so you could see your reflection, you saw that your nose was crooked. You had tried to fix it, but it hurt so bad when you touched it that you werenât able to make it much better.
You snapped out of your thoughts and nodded your head to answer Marcoâs question. He carefully holds your face and runs his thumbs down either side of your nose. Pain shoots through it, making you whine and try to pull away. He allows you to, which you appreciate.
âIs it hard to breathe through your nose?â
You stuff the last handful of food into your mouth before answering him. It takes a moment for you to find the words and force them out, âA little⊠used to itâŠâ
Marco sighs softly at your answer. He pulls out a piece of cloth from his pocket and uses it to wipe off your face and hand. The cloth is put away, and he continues with his questions. âAre your parents here?â
The question makes you tense up. You didnât appreciate how many reminders you were getting of them today. You nod stiffly, then point over to the rocks marking where theyâre buried. The men glance around in confusion for a moment before looking back at you. You sigh and go over to the rocks and pat the dirt. âHere.â
All of their faces contort as they figure out what you meant.
Thatch was the one to break the silence. âYou arenât out here all alone, are you?â
You nod.
âHow long have you been alone for?â
â... Three years.â
They all share wide-eyed looks with each other. Marco quickly strides up to you and takes one of your hands in his, âLetâs go back to the ship, okay?â
âNo!â Any previous calm you had faded away and was replaced with a raw panic. You flailed your arm in a desperate attempt to get him to let go, but much like Ace, he wouldnât budge.
Marco uses his other hand to grab your shoulder and force you to hold still. âCalm down, youâre just going to hurt yourself. Weâre going to help you. You arenât going to have to be alone anymore.â
You try to keep fighting, you really do, but your head starts to spin and your limbs grow weak. Before you can completely collapse, Marco scoops you up into his arms. You want to push him away, but your arms wonât do anything. All that you can do is blink wearily at your surroundings as they all swirl and blend together.
Thatch steps closer and gently pats your head. âAbout time. I was starting to think I went too light on the dosage. Did (Y/N) not drink all of the milk?â
âThey did. They downed the entire thermos in a few seconds. I didnât think they were going to so much as make it out of the treehouse awake.â
âI guess theyâre tougher than I thought. The poor thing looked so scrawny and sickly that I was afraid I might kill them with a normal dose.â
All that comes out of you is a weak whimper as your vision starts to fade to black. Marco rubs your back and begins to walk. The gentle rocking from his gait only makes you nod off faster. His voice is quiet as he tells you assurances of how everything is going to be better now, but it does nothing to comfort you.
Terror is the only thing in your mind as you finally succumb to whatever they just did to you.

The strongest star (platonic)
This is determination from Whitebeardâs point of view when y/n met him and his crew. I decided to make this to flesh out my first post and also thought it would be fun since y/n is kinda an unreliable narrator in their own way due to forgetting a lot of details and events.
Master-list for the series here

for as long as Edward Newgate could remember, he wanted a family
As unconventional as it had seemed he had always dreamed of a family of his own
That was his dream that led him to the sea all those years ago
The freedom to pursue and accomplish this with the oceans cruel and caring waves
Heâs old now, a man accomplished and still having his family grow
So when Marco brings a small child aboard Newgate canât help but be a bit giddy
Itâs been years since the Moby dick had such a young one aboard its old planks
He remembers like yesterday it once did
Children he found bruised and starved, cold and alone with eyes begging for warmth and comfort despite how scared they were
He was once like that, and he swore heâd not abandon those kids like others did for him
Those children grew up now to be some of his many kids
Years heavy on them as they are for him
He watched them grow from scared to proud and strong
And most of all he watched them grow to be happy with the family harboured on a couple planks of wood on the high sea
Each night rocked by the waves with full bellies and a smile on their faces
So itâs safe to say he is hopeful when Marco marches up, carrying a small child of about 10?
The youngest on the ship as of now was Ace and a few from the spade pirates that assimilated to his crew
But he hadnât raised them, Moreso taken them in and not having the opportunity to truly nurture them in the way he had wanted
They were teens, a fraction of their lives already lived which meant he missed out on significant moments of it
He hadnât been able to meet Aceâs brothers or be sure to in-still in him that heâs loved
Hadnât been able to convince spade that he was more than what everyone in his home thought of him
As an old nostalgic man Newgate missed the feeling of being there for something important like that again
And he thought for a moment he could have that again until he noticed your eyes
Heâs seen the terrified, angry and hopeless that looked up at him once before
Most of his sons whom he took under his wing had a variation of that when meeting him
But yours areâŠ.something else
Heâs reminded of the night sky
A sight that heâs been more than familiar with his entire life as he looked to the stars and wished for people to call home
Despite just being eyes he sees more
Bleak empty darkness, swirling with the unknown with the distant twinkling flecks of stars
They are all encompassing and unassuming at the same time
Pits of dullness that shows the withered age that only a seasoned sailor could have amongst the cruel waves
A loss of innocence and all that a child should have
Yet at the same time somehow retains some of it despite it all
Itâs conflicting and hypocritical all at the same time yet itâs there all the same
Those eyes stare up at him, no fear but instead apprehension fills its place
If nothing before could have convinced him that he wanted you apart of his family than this did
But heâs known from the moment you stepped foot on this ship he wanted you to have a home here either way
On the Moby dick you start off as a quiet presence that later grows into something bigger
Perhaps even bigger than yourself as the his sons and daughters seek out your company like moths to a flame
He canât exactly blame them, not when he himself wants so desperately to grasp and hold that light
But he sees your apprehension when around him
The way in which you try to skirt around his presence as best as possible
Something you do exceedingly well
So Edward for your sake decides to take a seat back and watch what happens
Waits to see you ease up on your own time
God knows the amount of patience he has from dealing with Roger all those years ago and his rowdy kids
So he knows when to back down and let the stage set itself
Watch the act before his role is to come
And Edward does exactly that
He watches and waits
Eddie watches as you draw the crew in like a gravitational pull
Itâs slow at first
Your cautious but you let your guard down
At first itâs with Marco
Being the one to take you onboard he decides that your his responsibility and take to it like the mother hen that he is
Seeing you inured stumbling out an alleyway really hit him hard
Perhaps harder than you had even noticed
It gets worse especially after you seem to brush off your injuries
He hovers around you a lot under the excuse of checking your wounds but you seem to know better
You always seem to know better
But either way you donât say anything and simply grumble a bit about him
Moreso out of annoyance than actual disdain
But either or, Whitebeard watches as his first commander stays by your side
Eventually getting you to drop some of your barriers ever so slightly
Like the chipping in a wall that would lead to a crack
You talk and Marco listens
As do others who eventually join in on listening to some of your stories as you sit between the rails of the railing
Feet dangling through the gaps and swaying back and fourth as you tell stories
Everyone listens
Some even stop in their trail just trying to hear what you tell Marco as he similar sits beside you
Clawed feet of his half Phoenix form and firey blue wings tinged in gold crackling gently
The real breakdown comes when he offers to fly you around
Everyone can see something in you ignite at that
Genuine excitement only caused by child-like wonder
Itâs one of the only times on your stay he had seen it
The child buried beneath whatever had happened to you peaking out from the brush
This was a good sign
One that Edward is glad to see himself as you soar with Marco
Blue flames giving you warmth even with the cold harsh winds
When you eventually land once more Edward canât help but smile at the surpassingly content expression painting your face
That crack in your defence grows
The next to chip away at that metaphorical wall is Thatch
The cook quickly making his ways into your good graces when he has you help about in his kitchen
You seemingly canât really stay still, mind always racing and wanting to do something
Never taking the time to relax
Thatch says you take to tasks quickly, finishing as quick as you started much to his surprise and exasperation
Whitebeard laughed at that at the time
So you were quick to pick up things
Knowing tasks like the back of your hand no matter how big or small
Heâs also seen it, when you gave some of his sons tips in raising the sails or properly cleaning the deck quicker
Thatch wonât admit it to anyone but himself but Whitebeard knows he cooks more food for you than heâd usually would for someone on the ship
Even when Ace or Teach hound him for more food he angrily shoves them off
Then filling your plate once more
Thatch is the one who tells him of the time you cried eating his meals
Mumbling that it reminded you of her
Your mom
Apparently you donât remember her anymore
Just the vaguest scent of her meals and a glimmer of a smile she would give when cooking
ItâŠ.sticks with Eddy more than heâd like to admit
Forgetting was an unfortunate thing that came with time
Whitebeard considered himself lucky in not forgetting much over his years
He still remembers the loneliness of his childhood
The bloodshed and alienation on Rocksâs crew
Going off to make his family after the god valley incident
Recruiting his many sons
Finding some cold and alone while others sought him out as a father
Remembers when he first met the idiot heâd call a rival
How Oden would eventually become his little brother and hearing years later of his death by Kaido
The guilt still weighing on his shoulders even now
So in every sense of the word Eddy considers himself lucky in being able to remember
But you donât have that same privilege
Your memory fraught with missing pieces
Leaving you trailing off for a moment as you regal a story that leaves everyone on deck listening intently
They all notice that you stare off quite often while doing something
Your mind wandering to whatever is it that your thinking of
Sometimes you even mumble to yourself
Though Eddy is never close enough to hear the mumbles others sometimes mention them to him
Names and places
Dates and times
Events and descriptions
But one thing brought up is something that raises his eyebrow
Things only the Roger pirates couldâve know or seen
He already suspected something when seeing the coat draped across your shoulders
You may think your slick in thinking he didnât recognize that old thing but Eddie knows better
Heâd known Roger far too long and arduously to not recognize his gaudy red coat (hypocrite a voice in the void cryâs out)
When his frienâŠ.rival was executed he had noticed the coat he wore was different
A darker red and cheaper material
But at the time he gave no thought to it
To wrapped up in a certain kind of grief to really think twice
But now that coat is on your shoulders
Pristine rose red contrasted with the cyan blue of your bandana and cloth sash
You couldnât have known Roger, your too young to do so
Plus that idiot had two apprentices not three
So that option was xâd out the list
As him and his commanders talked
But you being a kid of one of his members was certainly a possibility
And the only one Edward could ever imagine Roger giving his coat to was Rayleigh and he had essentially dropped off the map years ago
So the conclusion that your maybe Rayleighâs kid and that he was potentially dead was the conclusion drawn
Itâs safe to say that it is something that weighs on not only his commanders mind but also Edwards
Because of the similar situation to Ace
The only other person you had tried to avoid on this crew for some reason
But maybe you somehow knew of his origin and thatâs why? But even that seemed unlikely
Roger could keep his lips shut when the situation called for it
Something that he now praised his dead friend for
But on the topic of AceâŠit was odd
You avoided Ace like the plague
Whitebeard understood why you avoided him, the giant who was named the strongest man in the world and feared in all blues
But Ace? He was practically a puppy vying for your attention after seeing you interact with literally everyone but him
Heâd never thought heâd see his son whoâd used to be like a snippy stray dog now practically begging for attention
But here he was
Well, more like they were since literally everyone else on ship itâs finding this all too hilarious
But also kinda sad
Itâs not like theyâd force you to get along with him if there had been a solid reason
But seemingly there was none
You just avoided him for whatever reason
Jittering in discomfort and leaving when you saw his signature orange hat
And theyâd thought it would remain like this
But like all else Whitebeard sees things change
(Just as he saw the sea change when Roger died and ushered a new era)
The final piece to break down that barrier of yours is Ace
The one besides Whitebeard himself you had been the most barred against
It starts with a small conversation
And then on deck he sees both you and ace talk more
And more
And eventually Ace is placing you on his shoulders with his hat on your head
Or taking you out on striker as the smaller boat races around the Moby Dick
Itâs a sight for sore eyes
Ace once again lighting up like a bright flame
The same happiness restrained for when talking of his brothers
Or of that person who had given him the small charm he covets as if it were the greatest treasure
Something he had been initially teased for until revealing its story
The small worn down little sun dangling from his wrist representing someone who he wanted to find once more
To thank for caring for him despite his bloodline
Because Ace saw himself as a blotch on the world rather than a blessing
It was something that Ace had hid well but as his father Edward could see the conflict in his eyes
He Tried his best to resolve it but it had yet to go away
But when Ace talks of the Brothers made over a sip of sake, a small sun charm and now seemingly you
It seems for a moment to melt away
Like the strongest of metal being smelted before hardening once more
So Edward watches in amusement as Ace lets you hang from his arm
Or how his son tries his best to seemingly impress your young eyes with tricks of blazing flames
Ace doesnât seem to notice though that anything he seems to do leaves a proud look in your eyes
But Eddie does
Whitebeard canât place as to why but he decides to leave it
Simply enjoying his new child and Ace bonding as if they had knew each other for years
The flame brazen boy igniting excitedly like a match as your smaller hands find his and dance to the drunken shanty music
Singing songs you seem to know and regard with an almost melancholy smile as Binks Booze begins to play
Only giving more evidence to your possible heritage
And then you eventually approach Eddie himself
The fearless Whitebeard, strongest man in the world
Golden yellow eyes staring back down towards yours that reflected a starry night
He asks you about your family in which you answer vaguely
Though he expect no less of an answer he notices that the way you explain it is practiced
And despite how practiced it is it leaves him dealing down worry
Youâd been on your own for a decent amount of time now
Just seemingly drifting from how you described it
No one but yourself and the sea to keep you company
Only the clothes on your back and small mementos from travels to carry on with you
Whitebeard ponders who the âfriendsâ youâd made along the way but you donât say names often
Just nicknames
Sneaky but heâs raised enough rebellious boys to see past all the tricks
You change conversation but Edward allows it
Instead you ask him questions, something no one would usually dare to do when being questioned from him
Heâd have to admit you have some guts for a kid
Typically heâd call people who did something like that a brat but he lets it slip this one time
And he answers your questions
If only to try and ease you into seeing that he is more than just the epithet of strongest man
That first and foremost heâs a father and perhaps he could be one to you
But instead you inquired about Roger
Another itch to prove your perhaps Rayleighâs child
So Whitebeard answers truthfully talking about the man he once considered friend
To be honest Edward never really knew how to quite characterize his and Rogerâs relationship
On one hand Roger was a man that Edward had respected deeply. Someone who was not only equal in power but also in kindness
God Roger was so stupidly nice to just about everyone as long as you didnât somehow anger him
But On the other hand Roger was one of the stupidest men alive
Running head first into a battle with nothing prepared
Roger and him were both Friends and Rivals all at the same time
Along with being two sides of a coin
Men who loved more passionately than anyone else
Men whoâd do anything to protect all that they loved even if it killed them
In some sense Whitebeard knows he should be happy in being the âvictorâ in their rivalry yet heâs not
Because they never did settle a score because there was no score to settle
And Eddie no matter how hard heâd try to deny it missed that goof
For as annoying as he was he was equally charming
Something that was infuriating
Because of course Eddie had to become friends with that man
Of course Roger had to go and get himself killed
And itâs Eddie whoâs left to mourn
Eddie whoâs left to watch the world change and grow old
Eddie is always the one left standing
And itâs there with that you ask him about mourning and how he deals with it
And Edward canât help but give a pitied stare
A child should not know grief
A child should not know how to mourn
And yet you do
You always seemed to know something your not supposed to
A thing both equally dangerous to you as it is others
âŠâŠgeez you really must be Rayleighâs kid
Whitebeard smiles, looking down to the coat hung heavy on your shoulders
For a moment he sees Roger there, smiling at him as usual
He tells you that even when someone is gone they leave bits of themselves in the world
Eyes subtly glancing towards a distracted Ace and Izou who listens nearby
Their presence still lingering in all those that they touched by literal and metaphorical
Because when someone leaves you they never really do
They change you
Mold you into the person you are and could become wether that be good or bad
Because Whitebeard despite knowing Oden and Roger are gone can still feel their presence on this ship
The splinters from when battling Roger as he was flung onto the Moby dick
The room in which Oden carved his name in the wood along with Tokiâs within the shape of a heart
Sees glimmers of Roger shining through Ace and his firey temper along with his compassion
Watches Izou mumble under his breath about how Oden would have loved to have been on this adventure
Those 3 sake cups still sit in Edwards office
Below a collection of objects and photos of all his lost children
He still mourns them
As any father would
Still wonders if they would forgive him for falling them
But when he does so he remembers their still there
Their fingerprints engraved on a old grizzled heart
At hearing this you nod, pulling that old coat on your shoulders closer
As if someone was hugging you through its luxurious red cloth
His words have seemed to have comforted you and heâs glad
Perhaps even lifting some of the grief off your chest
If so Edward is happy
Because a child should know no grief
And heâd like to change that
Would like to remold your melancholy little heart back to what it should be
That of a happy child
He and his children itch to ask you to stay
But even when Marco offers you a room here
Or when Ace just straight up asks you to stay
You always reply the same way
That like the sea herself you are untethered
Maybe one day youâd find a place but for now you must keep drifting
You have people to meet
Friends you call family to see once more
Everyone here wishes for you to stay
Some ask their father to perhaps to pull the same thing they had pulled with Ace
But Whitebeard doesnât relent on wanting you to join by your choice
Even when he feels his will want to crack when one night after talking with you under the starry night you fell asleep in his palm
Curled up and small as he feels small tears drip down and pool beside you
Or when it wants to crack even more when he catches you one night in the crows nest singing
The almost haunting sound echoing and reverberating across the ship
The Moby herself sitting at your side, her Klabautermann joining you in song
Or the almost final blow when he realizes that you breath new life in the ship without even knowing it
Itâs unseen by your eyes but Whitebeard knows his sons and his ship enough to know when itâs more lively than usual
How your words capture them
Heâs watched as you sat atop a barrel telling tales and seeing everyone huddle around you like ducks
Pausing in their duties or even sitting down to ask questions or for you to elaborate more
Grown men and women enraptured by stories of the sea and all its beauty
Even he himself couldnât help but find himself entranced by your words
The way in which you tell them all are too detailed as to not be true
But Whitebeard does not relent
Does not stop in his judgement no matter how hard it will be to let you go back on that dinky little ship you called your own
Itâs sail made of spare sheets with sewn in patches giving it splatters of colour
But when that happens Whitebeard promises to throw you a grand goodbye
Promises that when you do come back theyâd have a room ready
That Thatch would make food that reminded you of a once lost home again
That Marco would tend to your wounds and let you scrape the sky
And that Ace would light up with a flame of a stars intensity
But they never were able to throw that goodbye party
That party would be the next one after the one that was meant to just enjoy being with you once more without having to say goodbye
But then you decided youâd help Thatch after seeing he could barely walk in a straight line, so you paused the celebrations for yourself and went to that kitchen celler
Going to place that damned devil fruit to be locked away
But then minutes ticked by
And so Ace decides heâd go find you, saying heâd have to convince you to tell Eddie of your story about the island in the clouds
The joyful atmosphere continues
And then comes Aceâs horrified scream for Marco
Cutting through the atmosphere as the usually chipper boy runs out the kitchen with you in his arms
Bloodied little you
You sit there in Aceâs arms
Bleeding heavily from a large slashing stab that has your blood practically gushing out and into the ground along with Aceâs arms
Despite that though
Despite the pain you should be in Edward spots an oddly content look on your face
Eyes looking up towards Ace but instead of tears filling them itâs a bittersweet look
The look of Iâm sorry
Ace and you sit in Edwardâs palm
Your small form cradled by his sobbing son who pleads for you
Blood still fresh on his hands and now smeared across Edwardâs as well
A child should never die
Let alone in someoneâs arms
For they shall carry that weight of them in their arms forever
So he tells ace to lay you down in his Palm
And Ace can only do so reluctantly
Ace turns to run to Marco whoâs dashing across the ship but you stop him grabbing his hand
Making his son pause
You smile despite it all, a bright and beautiful smile that rivals the sun and all stars in the sky
Then looking to his charm as you pull out a similar one nestled in that coat pocket of yours
âYou found meâ it comes out as a pained rasp that makes Whitebeardâs heart ache
It aches more seeing Aceâs expression
Pure grief
Just utter pure grief
Ace clutches you
Begs you not to leave
To please not leave him after finding you
To tell him who did this to you
Your eyes squint as if trying to remember, but then light up with recognition
You give a small laugh, one that makes Whitebeard go still as does Ace
âZehahahaâ
TeachâŠ.thats why he wasnât on deck
As that happens pieces of you shatter
A bright shining gold flashing in the night sky
Sparks of starlight and stardust congregating in the air
Scattering somewhere into the sky
In a fevered state you utter a last word to Ace
Sunshine
When your gone everyone is in a stunned silence
Because what just happened
But then Whitebeard thinks
He thinks all the way back to Roger
The last time he saw Roger the bastard had gotten suddenly silent asking Eddie if he knew of a song, a myth
A star that once dead formed back once more in a new part of the sky
A song was made about it once, something from the Rumbar pirates that had long died among the waves
But then he thinks back further
Back to those 3 days and nights they had fought on that abandoned island
And then he remembers
As Roger sent him flying with a punch Eddie skidded by the Oro Jackson
And for the briefest of moments he thought he spotted something shining in the darkness of a cracked open door
More rather the peering shining eyes of someone
At the time he tried to question Roger but he was as unmoving as a stubborn horse so Eddie had left the topic
He had forgotten of that experience years later
But now it comes rushing back
As does that myth of a undying star
It seems Roger was hinting at something all along
Sly bastard
Seems you werenât Rayleighâs kid after all
Maybe you were more Rogerâs kid than anything
ButâŠ.Eddie had taken in one of Rogerâs brats before
His sobbing son is evidence of that
And perhaps he will do so again
âHmfâŠ.sly bastard. Their out there, weâll find them againâ his words are spoken with conviction as a sobbing ace looks up to him, his golden eyes soften at his sons expression âtheir still alive Ace, just displaced when they die. Roger rambled to me a myth about it the last time we met. A star that never died and reappeared in the sky, I thought it was nonsense but maybe he was rightâ
âBut how-â
âThink my boy. How could they be the one who had cared for you all those years ago when theyâre that young? My best guess is a devil fruitâ he sees the emotions swirl in Aceâs eyes as his sons nods shakily. Hands clutching the sun charm of his bracelet and scared to let go. Edwardâs eyes travel from his son to his other children, the gold that was once softened now hardening once more as anger replaced it. TeachâŠ.a son now a traitor had to be delt with.

hi! Do you mind writing something with a 3y/o child reader and the white beard pirates? Like specifically everyone is celebrating something, and then child reader slips and gets hurt and starts sobbing really loud and all the pirates are panicking?
Parties and Falls (Whitebeard pirates x male!reader)
A/N here we go! And along with this being a request I also wanted to dedicate it to @henrioo since I saw you were feeling down because of the lack of male readers out there and I wanted to cheer you up, this is not one of my best works but im hoping I can make more pieces so that you and all the male readers out there can enjoy and feel included!
Reader here is replaced by Dokucha which means reader in japanese
Dividers by @/saradika
With a Yonko as a captain and one such as infamous as Whitebeard, one who was able to fight on equal ground with the Pirate King Himself, people usually thought of the Whitebeard pirates as a fearsome foe, and although it was true that you would not want them as foe, behind all that lied a close knitted family who all enyoyed one thing, partirs
With a whole bunch of pirates who could drink whole barrels of alcohol, they are the kind of crew that would throw whole week-long parties with everyone involved, and that was the case right now
Dokucha was not the exception. He always had a grand time when all his brothers were brought together on such a happy occasion
He wiggled his way around his brothers to reach the bar where Ace was currently sitting, struggling slightly to climb the top of the stool.
âAce-nii, can I drink some of that too?â The boy asked, pointing to one of the pints the flame user was currently downing
âSorry, lighting bug, you canât have this.â
He pouts, leaning his head on the counter
âBut everyone is having it!â
He chuckles
âSorry, Dokucha, tell you what, how about you ask Thatch to prepare you something? I'm sure he can whip up something delicious for you.â
The boy lights up at that
âReally?!â He beams, the grin on his face quickly returning
âYes, really, and make sure to thank him. He should be on the kitchen.â
âOkay!â He exclaimed, excited at the promise of a beverage; however, it was in his excitement that he forgot he was on top of a stool; losing his balance, he fell to the ground, the sound of the chair hitting the wood below being drowned by the cries of the child, the crew quickly sobering up at the sound
The entire crew looked down at the small child who was now crying on the ground; some were already rushing to get to him
Izou was the first to reach the small boy, picking him up and giving him a hug, trying to calm him down
He wraps his hands around his brother, their cries still ringing around the Moby Dick
âH-Hey Dokucha, hey, hey, donât cry, lighting bug, itâs okay. Weâre going to take care of you,â Ace reassures him, gently patting the head of the boy
âIt hurts!â He cries
âWhere does it hurt?â Ace asks as Marco makes his way over to the two
Thatch follows behind, rushing over
He simply points to his hands, small scratches littering them from their fall to the floor
Marco sighs, igniting his flames and holding Dokuchaâs hands, healing all the small scratches. However, this did not lessen the cries of the small boy as tears rolled down his cheeks, hiccups escaping him.
âButtercup, youâre okay. Look, see, your hands are all better now,â Vista says, joining his brothers in trying to calm down their youngest frowning when he shook his head and dug his head deeper into Izouâs shoulder as he continued crying and screaming
Whitebeard, who so far had been watching the whole ordeal play out, stepped in, gesturing at Izou to hand him over, who obliged
Whitebeard smiled gently at the crying boy in his hand
âThere, There was that scary?â
He nods
âY-yeah, and it hurt.â
âWell, you are alright now; look at you; there isnât a scratch on you now.â
He cries, looking at his hands, and just as he had told him, there were no marks on his hands
âBreath in and out for me, yes, just like that, see you are okay.â
He sniffles, rubbing his eyes dry
âIt was really scary.â
âIt was scary, huh?â he says with a soft smile
âYou feel better now?â
He nods smiling
âThank you, PaPawâ
Again itâs not my best works but I really hope you enyoyed and @henrioo I really hope this was able to cheer you up a little, and I will try to write more male!reader from now on!

Hi :D
I need to say that I love your writing very much. You're literally so amazing at describing characters and their emotions , their actions and the background as well!
Tho, If you feel comfortable enough - Can you make headcanon or drabble (choice is up to you) about Platonic!Roger Pirates and Whitebeard Pirates having a young crewmate that is very mature but is really self-sacrificial? By that I mean , they are not a fighter but don't want to be burden so they do anything they can to not be useless in their opinion?
So I did headcanons because I'm not good with drabbles. It's either 800-900 words minimum or nothing. I don't do drabbles. That being said, I hope you enjoy this, just remember this is just how I see them.
Word Count: 900
Roger Pirates
Roger totally pouts about you being very mature
Youâre a kid, you should be enjoying life!
Orders the crew to give you as few chores as possible.
Thatâs not to say you donât do plenty, just that Roger doesnât assign it to you.
Constantly telling you to go have fun and enjoy the sunshine.
Part of you wants to, you want to make him happy, you kind of want to go have fun.
But what if you become a burden by doing so?
What if you cause trouble like Buggy and Shanks?
Nope! Not gonna happen!
And you go right back to helping out.Â
Rayleigh has had to forcibly stop you before.
Actually picked you up, set you in a chair, and ordered you to enjoy a small dessert.
In his defense, youâd been working yourself pretty hard at the time.
The entire crew knows not to wake you in the morning unless necessary.Â
Itâs not that they donât want your help, but theyâre worried about you.
Rayleigh suggests a therapist.Â
You got so caught up in taking care of things that you missed the appointments.
The crew honestly tries their best to get you to stop and relax.
Theyâve seen you overwork yourself, it wasnât pretty and they all felt terrible for not stopping you sooner.
You still find plenty to do though.
Them not telling you to help actually makes you feel worse.Â
Youâre being a burden by trying not to be a burden!
Rayleigh realizes this and you, Roger and Rayleigh reach an agreement.
Youâre to do the chores youâre given and no more unless asked.
Buggy and Shanks arenât allowed to ask you for help.Â
Youâre allowed to get the usual early wake up call, but you have to spend a mandatory 2 hours being a kid and having fun.
Your fun usually involves helping Crocus organize the infirmary or just talking with Shanks (and keeping him out of trouble).
Neither Roger nor Rayleigh are happy about it, but they accept that it makes you happy so they donât say anything.
You tell them that you just donât want to be a burden⊠They laughed.
They told you that you were a kid, the only thing kids should worry about is being kids, not about being burdens.Â
Still, if doing a certain amount each day gets you to have fun later, theyâll take what they can get.
Whitebeard Pirates
Oh dear.
If you think Roger was bad, try dealing with his son.
Ace loves goofing off and causing trouble.
Haruta also likes causing trouble.Â
The two try to get you in on their trouble very, very often.
Not that they do, but theyâre really trying to get you to enjoy life.Â
Unfortunately, watching them cause trouble and make messes only makes you want to do more.
Their jobs as commanders are important and theyâre great fighters, but damn do they cause trouble for people.Â
Marco, Izou, and Thatch help though.Â
They keep you busy but also keep you from overworking yourself.
Thatch will give you easy tasks in the kitchen, Marco will give you simple tasks in the infirmary.Â
Itâs always stuff thatâs âimportant but I just donât have the timeâ.Â
Izou helps in a rather odd way. He insists on spa days with you, says your company is relaxing, that he needs someone he can talk to but not like Ace or Thatch.
So you take spa days with him.
He actually really does like your company and it does help him relax, but itâs 90% for your sake.
Even Whitebeard has you help him.Â
Heâs 20 ft tall, Luffy literally fits in his giant hand! He needs someone to help him with small things.Â
Youâre young and small, so you do a lot of things heâs âtoo bigâ for. Could he technically order things in his size? Yes, but that would be a lot of money when he has someone small who can do it for him.
At least, thatâs what he tells people.Â
Youâre often busy this way but actually do very little work.
Which was their intention.
Youâre a kid, they donât want you being too grown up but they know if they try and stop you, youâll find other ways.
So they keep you busy while making things easy.Â
Organizing things, sorting produce, spa days, writing out various orders from the captain, reading off lists made by the commanders, all stuff that requires very little actual work but is still important to each of the commanders.
Ace and Haruta try to make their tasks fun as well.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it just annoys you.
Are they mocking you by doing this?
Whitebeard does have one very strict rule for you though.
No working after dinner, the time between dinner and bed is to be spent winding down and getting ready for bed.
Someone once caught you trying to clean the kitchen counters after dinner to make life easier for Thatch.Â
Whitebeard âgroundedâ you for a week. You werenât allowed to help anyone with anything, you felt awful.
Ace and Haruta were assigned to you to make sure of that.
You never disobeyed the rule again.
Itâs not that you donât want to have fun, but you just really donât want to be a burden to anyone.Â
You spend some of the time after dinner just doing what you want to do.

Hi!, Iâm new to your Page and I really like you stuff. I was wondering if I could request with a younger member on the Moby dick, Coming out to Thatch, Ace, Izou, Marco And Whitebeard him self as Non-binary?
Please and thank you. If not, thatâs okay!
: D
I hope you are having a good time reading everything! and aaah thank you, very kind <3 and yessss I can do that no worries! [I only did 4 as it was aloooot]
Platonic Marco, Ace, Thatch, Izou GN Reader
Marco
You had a feeling he would be the best person to come out to as nonbinary, after all, Marco had always been open and honest about who he was.
Youâd asked for an appointment, sitting there in his office, playing with the long sleeve of your sweater and biting the inside of your cheek.
The door to the back of his office opened and he stepped in, giving you a friendly nod and sitting down across from you.
He placed his hands on the table, clasped together as he waited for you to start, knowing that you had something you needed to tell him.
âSo, Iâve been thinking about it for a while now.â You started and he nodded for you to continue. âIâm nonbinary, I donât feel I fit into male or female.. So.. I also want to go by they/them pronounsâŠ.â You didnât look at him, not at all⊠you were nervous even though you knew it would be alright.
You heard him push out his chair, and you looked up, seeing him in one of his many draws of files before he sat back down.
âTheyâŠ. Them?â He asked, looking over the rim of his glasses to see you nod. âRight, done yoi!â He picked up his pen and put a strike through your old pronouns and added what you asked for.
He made a note under your picture and you felt yourself relax, all the stress and worry falling from you as he closed your file and gave you a bright smile.
âThank you, Marco,â
âItâs not a problem, thank you for coming to me about this, Iâll make sure everyone knows about the change.â
Ace
Sitting with Ace, watching the sunset in the distance, you wanted to tell your best friend you were nonbinary but were worried about how he would react.
Ace was easygoing and kind but that still didnât stop the nagging feeling in your mind and in your heart that you could get some sort of backlash judgment from him.
âSomething on your mind?â He asked, not looking away from the masterpiece painted across the sky.
âJust a little.â You replied and watched the golden hues sink lower into the sea as you took a breath, filling your lungs before letting out a sigh. Ace turned to you now, his brows furrowed in worry.
âCome on, you can tell me anything you know that.â He said and you nodded, that was right, you could.
âIâm nonbinary.â You blurted and could see Ace slowly blink as he processed the information.
âAnd that is?â
You felt your worries bubble up once again, you didnât expect to have to explain this to him. âIâm someone who isnât a man or a woman, Iâm neither⊠I want to go by they/them.â You explained and saw him nod before he shuffled closer to you, arm around your shoulder and giving you a friendly shake.
âYou got it, buddy! Iâll kick anyone's ass who fucks with you or refuses to call you that,â He said with a nod, causing you to chuckle.
Izou
You hadn't intended to come out to Izou, he was such a stirn and serious person that you worried about him getting annoyed or angry at you for wasting his time.
You were sat there with him on watch duty, he was reading the paper as a warm sea breeze ruffled his hair.
You watched the beautiful man as you drummed your fingers on the side of the crows nest.
âCan you stop that?â Izou mumbled and glanced over the paper at you, painted lips pursed together and brows pinched in annoyance.
âSorry, I needed something to distract myself from the noise in my head.â You replied and dropped your arms down by your sides before Izou folded the paper and looked at you. âIâm not the best at advice but you can tell me, Iâll listen.â
âIâm nonbinary,â You confessed to him and he laughed a little, rolling his eyes and you felt the color draining from your face at his reaction.
âI know, thatâs not news to me.â Now it was your turn to gawk at him in confusion and he folded his arms over his chest, leaning against the side. âMy sister is trans, I saw that before she even did, and I myself flirt with the line of conventional gender norms.â He explained and then you felt at ease.Â
âVery brave for coming out though, it took her many years so I know the courage it takes.â He put his hand on your shoulder and gave it a comforting squeeze.
Thatch
You didnât even have a chance to come out as nonbinary to Thatch.
He was standing next to you as you dried the plates he was passing to you, another busy dinner service ended, and a long night of dishes ahead of you both.
âIzou tells me your nonbinary.â He said, not looking up from the pan he was scrubbing, you almost dropped the plate in your hand before looking at him with a shocked face.
âWant me to get you a pronoun badge? I donât mind, itâll help all these other idiots learn it faster.â He said with a big charming grin that made your heartbeat, he was so kind, everyone was so kind.
âIâd love thatâŠâ You mumbled and saw him move from the sink, drying his hand on a dishrag and going to his small office. You carried on drying up, curious about what he was up to. He soon came out of his office, brandishing the tag.
âWhere this with pride! Itâll get people used to it faster,â Thatch explained and he pinned it on your apron for you and you felt yourself smile brightly, puffing your chest out proudly.
Youâd never felt so loved or accepted in your life, this was your home and your family.

Yandere One Piece x Neglected Reader
A/N: This is a Yandere Red Hair crew x Reader. No there is no romance with the crew since this is a platonic yandere story. The Theory of Shanks being a villain was in my head when i wrote this. Annd WATCH ONE PIECE FILM: RED, before readind this.
Enjoyyy!!!
Imagine you are Shanks' biological daughter/child and is also a Mage, but he favors Uta more and isn't afraid to show it. Uta was top priority no matter what, from getting gifts to your fathers love, you only got the leftovers. You can sing? Uta can do much better, You dance? Uta dances like a pro. You can play instruments? Ha... Uta can do it with her eyes closed. That's how your life has been, secondary to Uta. You gave up anything related to music even though you love it with your whole heart. You started studying medicine under Benn. But you forgot you were a special child......... A Mage.
You lost control once, destroying almost a whole town. What did Shanks do? Nothing... At the age of 7, you had a bounty on your head. But when Uta destroyed a town at 6, He took the blame so she can have a normal life... Why can't you have the same treatment? You confronted him and what did he do, he dismissed you like always. After she left you finally thought they no He would acknowledge you. But how wrong you were. You had enough and that was the last time you called Shanks "Dad". You saw Benn as more of a father figure than your own father, everyone still doted on Uta. Having pics and videos of he but none of you....
You grew up just fine. But one day everything changed, Portegus D Ace, or Fire fist Ace had came to the island where you and Shanks's crew were staying. Why? To thank Shanks for saving his little brother Luffy. You and Ace instantly clicked for some reason even though you both have nothing in common, but Ace was funny and made you feel safe and mattered. You made your decision to leave with him, you packed a few essentials and wrote a letter to everyone instead of saying it to their face that you were leaving. In your small bag you kept you medicinal journals, first aid kit, few pairs of cloths and underwears. Your sword on your waist with the staff that you brought and modified to your liking.
Your adventures with Ace were amazing, you both fell for each other, confessed in the stary night. About 2 months later he proposed, you obviously said yes. You met Whitebeard and his crew, they accepted you as their own. You wedding was held on the ship where Whitebeard literally held you like thumblina due to the size difference. After your wedding, Thatch was hurt badly but with your help, he was able to make a full recovory. Ace was adament on going after Teach, and you wanted to accompany him. He refused saying it was too dangerous, but you were firm so he didn't exactly have a choice.
You guys left together, and even met his little brother Luffy in Alabasta. The fight with Teach caused both of you to be captured, and in line for the execution. Ace was worried, not about him, but about you. How could he have put you in danger when he was supposed to protect you? He should have knocked you out before leaving. Now you suffer with him..
Luffy and others came to help, but...... Ace died..... You tried to heal him but due to the malnourishment and lack of mana, you couldn't. You held him close crying, begging the God above, just once, just this once allow you to defy reality. But your begging was left unanswered..... You didn't move from the spot and awaited your death by the hand of the Admiral but Koby steped in front of you, your soft voice telling him its okay and he could move but he didn't, he couldn't.
Shanks arrived to your utter surprise, saved Koby and you. He looked at you expecting a reaction but you were too busy mourning the death of your husband. Benn was the one who was finally able to calm you down, and make you stop hugging Ace since they need to Burry him. You let go.... You had to. The Red Hair pirates took you to their ship, Red Force, and in your old room. They laid you there since you had gone numb, they closed the door on their way out, telling you to call them if you need anything.
The only thing that was going through your mind was, to burn that goddamn place down, the place that took away your Husband, Love, and Your Will to Live. After Luffy's anouncement, you did exactly that, Burned that shit to the ground. The Red Hair crew were finally treating you better and soon enough you let your guard down. But all good things come to an end don't they?
Shanks had brought a girl, who looked like she was about 16-17 years old, and severely malnourished. He told everyone how this girl, who introduced herself as Rina, was sold at a brothel and he had to do some thing, so he bought her and decided to adopt her as his daughter. You thought nothing would change, but she stared showing her true colours (atleast Uta didn't try to take something which was yours, so she was tolerable). She started making comments about your stuff and how she would love to have things like that, in front of everyone, so they (the crew) would ask you to give it to her. If you refused, she would play the victim until you gave in.
She crossed a line one day by asking you to give her your ring.... Your WEDDING RING. You bluntly refused, she played the victim again, but this time you Refused to the whole crew. Saying she won't be getting this ring. When guilt tripping didn't work, they tried to coax you. You told them to cut the bullshit and this ring will stay with you forever. Shanks got mad and told you to give the ring to Rina since its just a ring and he can buy you another one. You shouted at him telling him to by Rina the new ring, instead of you. This turned into a shouting match and Shanks tried to intimidate you by using his conqueror's haki, but he forgot you also learnt it and from him.
Finally you said that if He could answer 3 of the questions you ask him, correctly, Rina can have your ring. The 3 questions were "When was your birthday?" " What your age was?" and last " What was your marital status?" He repiled, "1st October" , " 18 years old" and "Single". He was so confident that he asked for the rings. But you started laughing hysterically to the point tears were forming in your eyes, this caused everyone to be confused. Why are you laughing? You told him that all 3 questions were wrong and You weren't Uta, since it her information he gave you. He was about to argue but you told him Your birthday was on (your birthdate), you were 20 years old and now a widow. Your eyes were cold and numb, without a spark. A broken 'What' came out of thew whole crews mouth. You gave them the fakest smile and then went to your room, leaving everyone to process the information. Okay they may have gotten your birthdate and age wrong, but you were a Widow?
When they finally processed everything and wanted answers they saw you, with a bag on your shoulder and going to get a small boat. They asked you where you were going. And you replied, "where I won't see your face." Just as you wee about to get in the boat you heard gunshots. Yassop had shot the boat.....Bitch . You looked unfazed and just used a levitating spell, over the year, you had goten good at controling your mana, so it wasn't a problem for you to cast precise spells anymore. Just as you wee about to take off, Shanks grabbed your wrist and threw you on the floor ( having no choice) and asked you, who your husband was. Looking directly in his Eyes, you said a name that made their blood run cold... Portgas D. Ace. The man who died in your arms.... was your Husband. It made sense, it made so much sense about why you weren't letting go of him when they wanted to burry his body.
You Suffered So much ALONE.
Just as Rina opened her mouth again, about the ring. Benn shot her while Shanks beheaded her. The blood splattered everywhere, even on you face. The cold look in Shanks eyes when he looked at the dead body, TERRIFIED you. You screamed causing shanks to look at you. He cooed at you while wiping the blood from your face and picking you up, like a baby. Whispering and cooing about how sorry he was to have done this to you. And how he will make it better. He was looking at you like you were 5. You on the other hand were frozen in fear.
Your flight or fright reflex activated and you kicked him and in the split second of surprise, where he loosened his grip. You flew, faster then ever before. You had to get away. What if you were next who would die by his hands. When you were high enough, You scremed telling him not to look for you. And then Teleported, you forgot you could do that due to the overwhelming fear because YOU KNEW what he was capable of...
But Shanks couldn't do that. You were His Daughter, His little girl. You would be in danger out there in the New World without him. You Said you Joined Luffy, didn't you?
I guess Shanks will have to pay him a visit.
Soon....

Note: As you can tell, graphic design is my greatest passion. I'll try to make this fancier at some point. For now, sorry, this is what you get. I mainly hang on Ao3, which I am adept at using because it looks like it was made in 2004 and never updated (compliment).
I don't have an upload schedule, I post what and when I can. I love interacting with everyone, leave me an ask or comment if you'd like.
Ace never dies.

Okay wait because I just thought of a lil fic for our soft boy Noa: maybe him having a bad day with maybe a lot of stress from the responsibility of rebuilding his clan but he sees reader playing with some of the baby apes? Like sheâs letting them climb all over her and sheâs chasing them and playing one of their games and Noaâs heart absolutely melts at the sight because sheâs so caring with the babies and it makes him think of HIS future babies? đ„č
Paige you are my muse and I could kiss you if I lived closer to you ( Platonically mwah. )
Title: Chimp Gossip. Fandom: ( Kingdom of the ) Planet of the Apes. Pairing: Heavily Implied! Noa x Human!Reader. Rating: K. ( FLUFFY BABY. ) Words: 2.5K+ Summary: Prompt above.
âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»âă»
Noa felt tired. Beyond that, it felt like the usually taut muscles in his entire body were all turning in on themselves, desperate for rest as even his calves faltered a bit as he made his way down from the work in progress that was the Eagle Enclosure. So many large thatches of wood had been used today, so many propped up with the help of other Apes, Noa feeling the responsibility of brutally bearing it all metaphorically onto his shoulders as he thought dimly of his Father and the ultimate legacy that he had left behind.
Noa paused them, feeling the splay of his elongated and spaced out toes pressing into the wood below him that heralded his body in suspended animation in the air, a spiraling walk way that on most days, would not pose a problem, but today with the trenches he was pulling himself through to make sure that Enclosure was perfect, Noa wanted nothing more than to lay his body down and just roll the rest of the way until his fur was coated with dirt and even then heâd fall asleep on the ground, not even able to will himself to the communal nest to sleep.Â
Green eyes that would rival even the most flushed and beautiful landscapes that surrounded the village were dropped and silken with lazed appointment to get just himself somewhere that he could unwind, somewhere where there were no responsibilities and where he wasnât a Leader, he wasnât the Master of the Birds. A place he could just be⊠Noa. Another Ape in their vast numbers, not important and just as insignificant in the scape of the world as any other. Maybe, the Ape thought and felt the fur rise against his spine at the mere idea that brilliantly popped into his mind, maybe heâd go and find you just to talk it through.Â
Maybe⊠This burden he felt could be explained in Echo logic, maybe you could give him insight that no one else was able to give, given you came from the outside and had a vastly different view on the inner workings of the Clan. You tried, Noa knew that, but the ignorance and your soft words always put him at ease and he found himself tugged towards that as he finally began moving once again, this time with a more lively tug towards actually doing something beneficial instead of giving up and falling on his face to sleep.
There were two places you could be, he thought and scanned the scape of the village itself with induced interest. With the Eagle Enclosure nearly complete, now there were sprawling natures of half built huts that hit the flattened land that made the Clan a part of the Earth.
He could hear the hustle of a group of Apes playing Monkey Ball to his left in the adjacent field that housed the horse paddock as well. You were definitely not there, Noa chuckled to himself, and bi-pedal even though it tore into the muscles of his tired thighs, he began in the opposite direction towards the stream that cut through the east perimeter of the sprawling and homely bungalows that catapulted into the air.Â
Monkey ball, Noa had noticed, was not your thing. There were logistics of it that made no sense, your eyes not able to keep track and you only cheered with what Noa cheered on to help the cause that you were only there to spend time with him. Not that he minded, he like the rise of your body against his as you yelped, your arms in the air and even going as far as showing him a congratulatory high-five, the interest there for the Ape only to see the scape of your stomach as your shirt rose with the action.
There was more chattering to the right of Noa, recognizing his Mother with the young Apes who gave him a spotted glance, Noa giving his best impression of adoration towards her that was always felt as she threw a fish for one of them to catch. Then--- Slowly, his feet backed up and he looked back at his Mother when the tear of your voice rocketed through him.Â
You⊠Noa focused his eyes at the motion behind Dar, curiosity sinking their teeth into him and he trailed that way, hap-hazardly giving her a pressing of the forehead as he went by, a silent hello and always a quiet thanks for being so proud of him despite his shortcomings. Much like you were, Noa mused and stopped a few feet behind Dar to stare at the scene in front of him.
Heâd--- It took him a moment to recognize the fact that you were even there, pinned to the ground on your back by four or so young Apes, no older than three years of age, your mouth formed into a grin as they trailed themselves against your appendages. Noa felt slack-jawed, not even tearing himself back to reality at the sound you emitted. A laugh, snorting around the edges as you felt a baby Chimpanzee seat themselves on your chest in victory. âAlright! Looks like Gul won Pin the Echo down.â His brow hardened at that. Was this⊠A game you were playing with them? Something you⊠Made up? The objective being to get you pinned down. Surely not. Surely you were fighting back at least a little--- But, then again that would take away the fun as he crouched himself down into a small hunch to observe, admiring the way that your hair flushed back on the ground as you reached to grasp the Chimp who was on your chest into the air and then back onto the ground below.
There was sudden abundance of noise as they chittered as the others, three Bonobos praised their Chimpanzee friend who had just won this new game, Noa tilting his head as you rolled, laughing to himself at the amount of dirt and twigs that were now tangled on your body as you rose, knowing that if you were in any other situation rather than tendering to the young, youâd complain about being dirty.Â
You bent your body for him, at least thatâs what he wanted, his eyes getting a tasteful amount of skin through the thinned t-shirt you had on, loose in the front and Noa was able to look down it before looking away in innocence and puffing his cheeks in mild defeat that the Ape had that desire, telling himself to remain calm and to not let the hackles of his fur shoulders rise in anticipation.
Curiosity truly was an end all be all as he drew his gaze back towards you slowly from the tree he had chosen to fixate on, admiring the stance of your legs into a position where they were spread, your feet digging into the ground, knees bent and you sat your hands on said knees to urge yourself down to speak to the young group.
âYou need to give me a head start this time, you guys are a lot faster than I am.â Gul looked at you, absolutely determined as did Noa to understand the clear objective of this game. Noa figured heâd win again. He seemed competitive, his small frame ready to pounce forward at the moment you began running. The other three he recognized. Bek, Corel, and Stem. Not as competitive but they seemed to be baited in eagerness just like Noa was as you rocked back and forth on your feet. They followed your movement - back and forth on their hands and feet as they were all resting on all fours.
âYou ready?â âYeah!!!â All four in unison and before Noa could blink, you were running away from them, their much smaller frames all chasing after you as you threw your head back in a wild cackle, Noa widening his eyes at the animalistic tear that came from you.
âIâm gonna do it!â You yelled at the Apes who now bounced through the taller grass of the meadow you chose to dart in. âIâm gonna make it to the tree!â
Ah, so that was the objective. Get yourself to the tree safely before you were pinned down by the young. As you went to turn your head back forward so you could see where you were going, you disappeared into the tall grass with a loud grunt, Noa raising his body in a frenzy at the lack of visual on you as the young Apes called out your name, ringing to Noa as he himself fell onto all fours and traced his way there.
âNoa!! Noa!!!â Bek yearned for him, grasping his banded forearm as he came forward. âShe fell!!!â
âRight on⊠Face!â Gul laughed as Corel came to rest by your head, her tiny face near the crown of your skull and sniffed experimentally and Stem was bringing his small body near the other side so they were essentially flanking you before you brashedly moved your shoulders rapidly, up and down.
Momentarily, panic ran through the older Ape that you had been hurt, that you were crying and begging for some help but that⊠Was not the case as he told himself to calm the beating of his heart at the sound of your muffled laughter that seeped into the Earth below your face. âYou canât cheat and get Noa to come help you!âÂ
âNot cheating!â Stem was fast to defend himself and bounced on his feet. âNoa like Echo! Had to come make sure okay after falling on face!â
The other three cooed and looked towards the Master of the Birds himself at this gossip and he found himself staring into three sets of small eyes that were alight at the gossip that their friend knew. Before Noa could say anything to you in defense, seeing the blush radiating across your cheeks at the confession from the young, Noa was hounded, his legs being pushed and pulled on by all four of them. âYou like the Echo!â
âEcho likes you too, kept talking about you all day!!!â Corel tattled with a barking laugh, Noaâs eyes ample as he looked over at your apologetically. It appeared difficult to keep even the smallest secrets away from the smallest ears.
âDoes⊠she like Noa!?â Gul inquired, âMaybeâŠâ They all gasped in unison as if they knew what he was thinking, âShe will be like Mother Dar!!!â
They all four âoooâed at that curiously at that and moved towards you and climbed onto your back, their small hands and feet tickling at you. âWould⊠like that! To be Noaâs mate! He need⊠to ask!!!â
Noaâs mouth opened in protest as you rolled onto your back, all four scattering before they returned to jump on your chest and stomach, a small grunt rising from you as you laughed, your eyes shut as they began pestering their tiny grasps on your face, admiring the plushness of your lips, the fullness of your cheeks and the smooth nature of your skin. âMake⊠different looking Apes! Echo looking!â Stem offered to Noa with a gleam.
âMaybe⊠ugly.â Gul said, brashedly and Noa felt a pang of offense to that but refused to take it personally. They were just young Apes, they had yet to set into their social skills and he was more than used to that from Anaya at times.
âHey!â You said with a guff and looked over at the Chimpanzee child. âThey would not be ugly!â Staring up at Noa, you spotted him with a small smile that told him you were okay and that there was no reason for him to be apologetic about the entire situation as you could see the wheels turning in his head at the prospect that these young Apes had just presented to him.
The obvious nature of his feelings were able to be detected abundantly as you lifted yourself onto your forearms and told Gul with flushed cheeks at the prospect that Noa even wanted that with you, âYou lose a point in the game for that comment.â
âSorry!â He said and jumped off you to trail himself to Noa, faux swagger in his stance as he looked up at him and said, âMake Beautiful Echo Ape baby.â
Noa gazed down at him and felt his mouth fall open at the statement before there was a call from behind him and all four of the young jumped at the voice, chattering a quickened goodbye to the two of you and made their way back to head home before communal dinner rolled around.
Noa turned his attention back towards you, his stance wide as his arms were open, his feet spread out to accommodate the attack of the small Apes against them and he began fumbling over his words, hopeful to defend himself against it as he tore through the idea of having⊠Anything beyond a friendship with you. His hands moved frantically, trying to come up with a sign, an excuse. Something that would garner him favor with you as you chuckled softly. At first and then it turned into a boisterous laugh, your head tilting back and you laid in the grass below, arms and legs spread out like a star-fish as you looked up at the sky.Â
âCrazy Apes.â Noa chuckled nervously, drawing himself down into a hunch and looked at the side of your face. You were embarrassed, it was obvious from the reddening of your face, the way that you tugged your bottom lip and chewed on it as your glances were giving favor to the fluffy clouds above that were turning a soft orange as the sun was getting ready to depart. âCrazy.â Noa agreed quietly, his hands resting between his bent knees as he played with some grass between his fingertips. âThey--- Donât know what⊠They talk ab---â âNoa,â You had turned your face towards him, Noaâs heart jumping straight into his chest at the softening of the look, your lips tugging from a hardened laugh into a gentle and eased smile as you assured him, âDonât worry about it. Theyâre just⊠Kids.â âYeah...â Noa chortled nervously, letting his eyes fall over to the trees to his left as he was unable to shake the idea of what it would be like to bear a child with you. To⊠Have you give him what he wanted, not known until minutes ago when he had seen how you were with them. How carefree you were, how easy it came to you. Would it be the same if he asked you to do that for him?
To ask you to brute the pain and agony of at least trying with the knowledge that maybe it was indeed possible. Noa pierced his eyes into the deep forest and shuffled on his feet to keep himself from standing awkwardly like a statue before he looked back at you, captivating your gaze with such ease as you smiled at him, tenderly⊠Softly⊠A⊠Affectionately like you would accept the challenge that ran through his mind.Â
 âThey.. are Just⊠Kids.â

â©âË.ââŸââșââ§â©âË.ââŸââșââ§â©âË.ââŸââșââ§â©âË.ââŸââșââ§
When you wake up in the morning, you roll over to see Ace perched on the edge of the bed, looking down at you with a soft smile on his face.
âMorning, Beautiful,â He says, warm eyes glittering with love. He's dressed, a small bag settled over his shoulder.
âYou off adventuring, hot stuff?â you ask. He's always going off on his own; these types of goodbyes are frequent, but you know he'll be back in your arms soon. He nods cheerfully as he stands, encouraging you to get out of bed so you can say goodbye to him properly. It's not like you'll have nothing to do while he's gone; you're a great pirate in your own right, a section commander in Whitebeard's crew.
You listen as he rambles about wanting to see his little brother again. You pass a poster of said brother as you walk to your wardrobe. You get dressed as Ace hums a familiar tune in the background. Your heart aches when you think about the life you've built with Ace. It's hectic, but it's you. Ace leaves a trace of him everywhere he goes. He's left traces of himself all over you. Sometimes, it feels like every kiss he leaves on your skin sinks in and solidifies, blocking your arteries. You can't function normally around him, but you'd be screwed without him. Every time he touches you, he has your cheeks warming and your heart set alight brighter than his powers.
âAnyone ever tell you that you think too much?â He asks. He does; he tells you all the time that your cloudy mind is too loud. He reads you like a book. âTell me what's up in that pretty head that's got you distracted.â
âI'm just thinking about how much I love you. I'm gonna miss you when you go,â you say, turning to your vanity.
âOh baby, I'll miss you so much more.â
You look in the mirror to assess yourself, and your blood runs cold. You can't see his reflection. As you turn to look at him, you glance out the window and feel your stomach turn as you realise you're on land. You're not on the Moby Dick. You feel dizzy, you look around and realise Ace is gone. There's no trace of him besides his beads lying on his untouched pillow. It feels like your skull is caving in on itself, and you scream. It's the only thing you can do.
Two years worth of grief and pain rise through your skin, and you drop to the floor. The door to your bedroom swings open, and for a second, you think it's Ace and then you hear Marco's voice. You know he's speaking but can't make out the words in your state. You can barely feel him holding you, rocking you gently like a baby. It works. Just For a second, you calm down in the arms of your most trusted friend.
You're tired of losing people. Pops, Thatch, Izo, Ace.
Wanted posters and framed pictures of each of your fallen friends line your walls. Marco holds out his hand and Whitey Bay, who you didn't realise had walked in, hands him a framed wanted poster. It's Whitebeards. Your eyes water as you remember watching the only real parental figure you've ever had give his life for the next generation of pirates. He was hard on you, as he was all his sons, but you knew he loved you deeply. Whitey is holding a picture of Izo and Ace; Ace is asleep on Izo's lap, and Izo is looking deadpan at the camera in irritation at being used as a pillow. A few tears roll down your cheeks as you remember that feast. You remember every feast you've shared with your crew.
You spend the next ten minutes pouring over the framed pictures and posters, retelling the stories to your crewmates - who listen happily despite already knowing what happened as they were there. You avoid the frame sitting on your bedside table. Marco and Whitey know why and they are careful to avoid it too. It's a picture of you and Ace when he first asked you out. Ace had begged Thatch to follow him with a camera to capture the moment you agreed. It's an awkward picture; it's a little blurry, and part of Ace's face is cut off, but it means the world to you. It's been turned towards the wall since you moved to this island. When you're finished with your meltdown, you sit back down on the floor, quickly joined by Marco and Whitey.
âWhen will all this stop?â you ask, unable to look your friends in the eye. âIt's been two years. When will the pain go away?â you ask. You know the answer, yet you dread it.
âProbably neverâ, he sighs, reaching to hold your hand. âBut, it will get easier. We still have each other. The day that Ace left to go and find Blackbeard,â Marco utters his name with bitterness and disdain â He told me to take care of you and threatened to turn me into a rotisserie chicken if I didn'tâ. You chuckle at his anecdote, squeezing his hand. He really has taken care of you; he's set you up with a house where you can live undisturbed, and he's helped you deal with the grief as best he can. He goes to stand, and in your mental state, you panic. You grab his arm.
âPlease don't leaveâ
âI'm not, I promise. You're going to get a headache from all this crying. I'm just getting something to help the pain,â he says. His voice is soft, almost like he's addressing a toddler. You appreciate it, though. You're vulnerable.
âAce had so much love in him, especially for you. He will always be with us.â Says Marco, rummaging through his bag. Whitey points to your wrist, where a messy spade symbol is tattooed. You'd come along with Ace, joined his pirate crew and stayed with him when he joined Whitebeard. âI know your heart hurts more than your head, but hopefully, this will ease up some of the pressure.â
You take the pill he hands you and wipe your eyes. You almost feel childish and ashamed by what happened, but their faces hold zero judgement. They lost people, the same people. They understand what you're going through.
âWill you guys stay for breakfast? I'm making pancakes,â you ask. Whitey and Marco immediately agree. You watch as they exit the room. You feel an oddly warm pressure against your cheek, an air of familiarity washes over you, and your stomach tightens. You take a deep breath and exit the room, hoping that you won't have to lose anyone else.

Ok, I have this idea, the reader(preferably female) is apart of the white beard crew, but White-beard, thatch, Marco, and Ace are the only ones that know about her. Sheâs a shadow to the rest of the world. The marines and Government donât even know about her. When Ace is sentenced to death, she makes an appearance because she doesnât want her brother to end up dead. Not to mention, sheâs Yonko level strong.
âAce, Thatch & Marco x fem!reader (platonic)
âSummary: you refuse to let the only person who could see you die when no one else did
âWarnings: none
â When you joined the crew everyone celebrated having a new companion to live adventures with, however in just a few days the majority seemed to ignore your existence.
â Perhaps it hurt you a little that some of the pirates who were supposedly your family forgot your name, but over time you understood that here everyone had their groups and the group in general was so large that it was normal that not everyone knew each other.
â Although it took you a little longer to adapt, it was thanks to Ace's bright and fiery personality that you didn't feel like a forgotten dog.
â Ace being the only person you felt comfortable with, you found yourself behind him like a baby duck, which he found adorable, you reminded him of Luffy when he was a kid and followed him through the forest.
â Of course, being with Ace meant being friends with Marco and Thatch, they didn't know you at first, but they ended up warming to you after a few weeks.
â You didn't need anything more than those three idiots, the only three people who knew you, who wanted to know about you, who remembered your name, but above all the only ones who could contemplate your strength, they dared to compare you with their father, Whitebeard.
â Regardless of whether you were a devil fruit user or not, you were someone extremely strong, but since your existence was barely noticeable, you preferred to keep a low profile regarding your abilities.
â When Ace began to travel and not return so often your heart tightened full of anxiety, without Thatch after the accident with Blackbeard you began to get overwhelmed with Ace's well-being.
â Which led you to spend many hours inside Marco's office, looking for some comfort, he would calm you down with some sweet words at the time, although it was inevitable not to show concern when the news that your friend had been captured and was going to be executed.
â You weren't going to go through that, so even without being noticed you were piled up with all those who joined together to save a comrade, a brother.
â In the middle of the fight you had no problem making way with violence and power, and it's not like anyone was paying too much attention to you since all the attention was on the one you deduced was Luffy, Ace's brother.
â You smiled when you saw that both brothers fell outside the place of execution, although your face became gloomy when you saw how they continued to attack them, taking into account that they were generals of the marines, you should hurry up and advance to the front.
â The feeling in the pit of your stomach made a lump in your throat as you saw how, being one step away from both boys, you saw in slow motion how admiral Akainu's lava-coated fist headed towards Ace's exposed chest.
â You never thought you were holding back in some battles, but even you were surprised when you sent the admiral flying out of your brother's reach, both of them looking at you with their mouth slightly open, although Ace greeted you with a smile instantly.
â The silence fell for a few seconds and for the first time you received looks from thousands of people, feeling completely self-conscious, you hurried to get rid of the chains that linked Ace's hands to your bare hands, the priority now was to get out of there in one piece.
â Perhaps, after your feat, people would begin to look at you with different eyes, or simply, to notice more, after all, you were the savior of the son of the pirate king.
â Oh if Thatch were here he would brag about his sister's strength like Ace and Marco did once they returned to the ship, where this time they celebrated as if everyone were going to become extinct the next morning.

Today would definitely be your day! After weeks of trying to convince your brothers and especially your father, you had managed to get permission to take a tour all alone around the next island the ship stopped. It might seem silly, but living surrounded by men who saw danger in everything made your freedom being compared to one of a bird in a cage. Of course, you were more than grateful for all the effort they put into protecting you, but sometimes you just wanted to run around and play with other kids instead of being followed by famous pirates who scared anyone who came near.
That's why you couldn't hold back the anxiety of finally being able to live a little adventure completely alone! You've prepared very well, choosing fresh clothes that won't get in the way of playing or running, took a purse with a generous amount of money that you collected according to the days and choose the best and most resistant shoes! Everything was perfect, you couldn't even swallow your food during lunch. You were so busy, as soon as the meal was over, you said goodbye to everyone and ran towards the port, excited to explore the place.
Even if walking around and spending money on silly things wasn't exactly the most fun thing in the world, just being able to experience all those new things by yourself and maybe even make a few friends was enough to get you excited. There weren't many young people in Whitebeard's crew, you ended up being the only child and the youngest member which left you a bit alone. Of course no one refused to play with you, Marco and Thatch would spend hours distracting you if that made you happy, the point was that they were adults and eventually needed to take care of their responsibilities, leaving you alone.
Your plan was to buy some candy and maybe find some kids your age to play with, you couldn't wait to get some attention from people who would also like to play. You walked carefree through the big city market, there were countless merchants, mothers, workers, all walking around in their own worlds and duties. You'd eventually stop and look at the fruit, jewelry, or anything else that looked like fun, but you weren't focused on shopping. You were humming absently around, not really caring about your surroundings when you started to hear footsteps approaching.
When you turned around to try to figure out what was going on it was too late, a person collided directly with you but before he could knock you to the ground, he pulled you by the arm away from the main road. You were dragged into an alley and soon a hand covered your mouth, when you regained your senses you could hear more and more footsteps approaching, a crowd running! You frowned in confusion as you listened to what people were saying. "Are you sure you lost them?" You tried to peek down the alley and you could guess they were sailors by their blue and white outfit. "Shit, those little brats! I can't believe they robbed usâŠ" they argued among themselves "Let's keep looking, they can't have gone far".
So when the men walked away you decided to pay attention to the situation you were in. You looked to see who your captors were and came across two⊠children? The boy holding you had blue hair and a huge red nose, he was holding your mouth while his face had a terrified expression. Next to him was a boy with red hair and a nice hat, he was carrying what looked like a bag of coins and he also looked extremely nervous about being chased. Whoever they were, you knew they'd robbed the sailors, but that didn't mean they weren't a risk to you.
When you were sure the sailors were gone you used all your strength to step on the boy's foot and then bite his hand. You might be small but you weren't harmless, growing up with powerful pirates had taught you a trick or two.
"Ouch! You bit me!" The boy screamed as he held his own hand.
The redhead finally seemed to notice that they'd dragged someone else into the mess and looked at you confused.
"You kidnapped me!" You countered by crossing your arms.
"You kidnapped them?!" The redhead exclaimed looking at his friend in shock.
"They were in the way!" The other tried to defend himself "And you bit me! I was about to let you go!" He was still angry but you didn't care.
"Think before you kidnap me! You're lucky I only bit you, if I told my brothers they would do a lot worse!" You exclaimed proudly of your family.
"Sure, like I'm going to believe a snotty brat" the blue haired one rolled his eyes.
"You called me what?!" You exclaimed with fury as your cheeks burned.
"Snotty brat" he said again with a smirk, looking satisfied with having turned the tables.
The problem was that the boy had underestimated you, one thing you definitely lacked was patience. You learned very early that you shouldn't tolerate offenses against yourself or your family, so you let anger win that fight. You quickly punched the blue-haired boy in the middle of the face, the one who fell on his butt with a scream.
"Buggy!" The red-haired friend screamed and went to help him.
"I'm not snotty!" You said stomping your foot on the floor.
The red-haired boy looked between you and the companion, his gaze showing shock and⊠fascination? He looked at you like you were a bedtime story hero, someone amazing and you couldn't understand. Shouldn't he be angry? You had just hit his colleague and he seemed fascinated by it?
"WowâŠ" he exclaimed looking you up and down.
"Humpf! Idiot" you said without patience and then you turned to leave the alley "You're lucky I won't tell my brothers, Marco would finish you off" you said and then left the place ignoring the red haired boy who kept calling you .
You were nervous and frustrated that visit to the city had not gone as you planned, so you decided to go back to the ship earlier. Luckily you would stay a few days in that place, there would be other opportunities to explore and meet kind and fun children, no more children who irritated you. It wasn't long after returning to shore that the crew set up a small camp to store the new supplies while the ship was refueled. There, you found Marco fiddling with some papers and further away you could see his father giving orders to some other members.
You sat with a sulky face while eating a candy you bought in town, Marco looked at you curiously and approached with a characteristic smile.
"What's wrong birdie-yoi?" He smiled and sat down next to you.
"I⊠I met some annoying kids" you decided it was better to omit what had happened, as much as you wanted revenge, you understood that the confusion had been a misunderstanding and you didn't want your siblings worrying about something so silly.
"Wasn't that fun?" He nodded when he saw you deny it. "Don't worry, you can still meet other kids in the next few days" he smiled trying to calm you down "And if nobody wants to play with you, let's get Visa and Jozu and have a tea party, how about that?" He offered, knowing you were always happiest spending time with your brothers.
"Promise?" You looked at him sullenly.
"On my honor" he smiled as he saw you clearly getting more excited about the idea.
After a little chat, Marco had to get back to work and you decided not to bother him anymore. So to distract yourself until dinner time you decided to walk along the nearby beach and look for some shells to collect, you were still thinking about the boys from before, especially the redhead. He was looking at you with so much emotion that you couldn't help but feel your stomach churning, no one had ever looked at you like that⊠It was so weird and it made you so confused, what was that? Some noises in the nearby forest caught your attention, being curious that you were, so it didn't take long to approach and look for who was there.
"It 's you!" You said in recognition of seeing the red hair from before.
"Shhhh!" He asked for silence and you covered your mouth, looking around for any threat "Are your brothers here?" he asked quietly.
"They're over thereâŠ" you pointed into the distance and he seemed to agree silently "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to talk to you again" he admitted looking at the floor, his cheeks were slightly pink and you felt your body getting warm.
"Why?" You asked timidly.
"Because your punch was super cool!" His eyes sparkled "You hit Buggy right on!"
"Is he not your friend?" You asked confused.
"He is⊠But you were just defending yourself! He shouldn't have called you snotty⊠You're not snotty, you're too cute to be!" He confidently admitted.
"Do you think I'm cute?" Your cheeks were now on fire.
"I doâŠ" he smiled shyly "I'm Shanks, what's your name?" He approached.
"(Y/n)" you smiled.
"Cool, I didn't know Whitebeard had someone in the crew with my age"
"How do you know Iâm in the Whitebeardâs crew?â
"You said you had a brother named Marco, I know him! And my captain said Whitebeard was in town, so that had to be it," he said with pride in his little investigation.
"Your captain? Are you a pirate too?" You were curious now.
"Yes! I'm from the Roger Pirates!" he exclaimed with pride.
That's when your face became sad... You had heard about this crew countless times, all your life you grew up hearing that they were your father's main enemies and that you could not, under any circumstances, approach them.
"I shouldn't be talking to you!" You finally realized and tried to run, but Shanks was quick and grabbed you.
"Wait! Please! I don't want to hurt you!" He begged as he held her wrist gently but firmly.
"How can I trust you? You kidnapped me this morning! And we are sworn enemies!" You snorted.
"But I don't want to be your enemyâŠ"
"You don't?" You let your emotions get the best of you.
"No⊠I⊠I want to be your boyfriend!" He declared with fire in his eyes.
"Boyfriend!?" You stuttered in shock, your face was hot and probably red, your eyes were wide in shock.
"Yes! You're super strong and cute!" He said without a care and then let go of your hand "Unless you didn't like meâŠ"
"No! I did like youâŠ!" You admitted with embarrassment "But⊠I never had a boyfriend⊠What do they do?"
"They⊠They" he stammered in embarrassment "They hold hands⊠Kiss on the cheek and go on dates!" He said with embarrassment.
"Oh!" You exclaimed with as much embarrassment as he was. You thought about holding Shanks hands and your stomach started to turn, it would also be really cool to be able to play with him.
"It's cool, isn't it? We can be sweethearts!" He tried to convince you.
"(Y/n)?! Where are you? It's getting dark and we should go back to the ship" You heard your father's voice approaching.
"Shanks?! Where are you?!" Another unknown voice came from the middle of the forest.
Before you could run away the fearsome encounter took place, behind you was your father and behind Shanks must have been the much talked about Roger, his captain. You both widened your eyes in terror when you realized what was happening, but you didn't dare open your mouth to try to explain.
"Roger"
"Newgate"
"Can you explain why your brat is talking to my child?" He quickly put a hand on your shoulder and pulled you back.
"Good question, what's up Shanks? Did you come here to talk to the old man?" The captain chuckled, he didn't seem to be mad at Shanks at all.
"I⊠WellâŠ" the boy mumbled incoherently with embarrassment.
"Did he do something to you?" Your father asked, looking at you calmly, he didn't seem mad at you at all, which calmed you down a bit.
"NoâŠ" you mumbled shyly and grabbed his leg.
"Hm, maybe they just met and had a chat" Roger theorized "Or are they secretly flirting, huh Shanks? You naughty, came for the riskiest one" the man teased.
"Don't talk nonsense Roger, (y/n) can't date you, brat" His father said as if that was nonsense.
"I can't?" You asked with some sadness in your voice.
"They canât?" It was Shanks's turn to look sadly at his captain.
The two men stared at each other in shock, they seemed to slowly understand what was going on between the two of you.
"Don't tell me⊠Did you like this piece of junk?" your father asked in shock and nervousness.
"Hey! No need to offend other people's children!" Roger defended "Shanks isn't that bad⊠He's just⊠He" the man shrugged.
"Like you understand" Edward rolled his eyes.
"Come on, we were young once!" Roger laughed "Let the kids date and have some fun, nothing bad will come of it"
"No" Edward gave the final verdict, but when he felt you pulling his pants and making your huge lost puppy eyes with tears threatening to fall he started to rethink the idea "(y/n)..."
"Please?" You asked "I promise I'll help more often in the kitchen if you let me..." you tried to bargain, you liked Shanks, you didn't want to be banned from dating him, even if you didn't know exactly what boyfriends did.
"Heavens⊠Who knew having kids would be like thisâŠ" He sighed tiredly "You guys can date" Shanks smiled "With some conditions!"
"Conditions? That's not fair!" He huffed angrily.
"Calm down little one, he's the father, he has the right to decide that, you have to earn trust and permission" Roger said quickly, Shanks seemed more resigned.
"First you need to grow up a bit, I can step on you now and I won't let such a small and young brat date my child!" he said quickly.
"Uhum!" The redhead's eyes sparkled.
"Second, you need to be strong! I will not tolerate a weakling having my child as a partner, you need to be able to face me without fear to have their hand"
"Yes! I'm going to be really strong!" He smiled looking at you and you looked away shyly.
"And finally, when you have those two things, the most important one" Shanks listened attentively "You need their acceptance" your father put his hand on your head "If you have both requirements and my child still loves you then I won't be the one going to stop you" he chuckled.
You smiled happily as you looked at Shanks who also looked confident.
"You'll see old man! I'm going to marry them!" He proclaimed with pride.
Roger just laughed praising his apprentice while your father looked frustrated and stroked your hair. You smiled thinking about how cool it would be to have Shanks as your boyfriend, you really didn't see the time to be able to be with him.

Determination (Platonic)
As you can tell this is kinda based off of Undertale in the whole. Not a lot but some elements from it that I changed
This isnât really linear and Iâm just jumping from character to characters
Cause screw the timeline
Warning of a lot of child death and spoilers
part 2 part 3 shanks beast pirates
Determination : a Paramecia type devil fruit shaped into a four pointed star. This mysterious devil fruit allows its user to essentially become immortal. When the user dies they ârespawnâ at a different location randomly. Oddly, when dying via water the effects of the fruit still occur though it takes longer for the user to ârespawnâ and the user doesnât age after eating the fruit.
Determination was something that was sewn into the fabric of the human soul
From the dawn of time humanity fought to survive against nature and itself
This blazing emotion called determination propelled them forwards against all odds
A blazing spark that had pushed them again and again
Through every conflict and tragedy
If is perhaps one of the most important things of the human spirit along with the capacity for compassion
Itâs no surprise that determination was a strong thing but even stronger would be the devil fruit you one day ate that you decided to name after that one blazing emotion
It took a long while for you to figure out the ability of the fruit since nothing happened at first all those years ago
You didnât transform into an animal of any sorts
Nor did you change your body or make something like flames appear
It left you confusedâŠwell until you died by accident
In your defence you were a young kid (you still are to be honest) without any spacial awareness
So you didnât notice the tiger that snuck up on you
There was a small moment of pain and then black
A pure black much like the ocean at night
Thereâs was confusion and then something appeared in front of you
A glimmering star that glowed softly and appeared out from your chest
Pulsating gently as you stared at it
You touched it and then woke up
Sand beneath between your fingers as you got up confused
Itâs there that you saw the ocean stretching out beyond your view and into the horizon
Cerulean blue sparkling with the sunlight
Bits of golden light shimmering around you now fading as you sat up confused
It took a while after that as well to figure out the specifics but you figured out that you died
And that seemingly despite that you were brought back somewhere new, an island across the ocean from what you once knew was home
Itâs a lot to take in but with time it settles in on you as you navigate what to do next
Youâd always had wanted to explore and sail the seas
What always held you back was the danger of it all
Your parents once warned you of it before their deaths
How you shouldnât do something so risky that could end up taking your life
But now there was no worry of that
Of leaving them
It was just you on your own in this big world
Now leaving you with that once far off Dream being your only reality
So after that you geared up and set sail
Your shipâŠer if you could even call it one was Basically a couple of barrels combined together into a small vessel
At least 8 barrels served as the base whilst two were combined together into a hut with a small cut out to make your bed area
There was no wheel or proper sail
You used a umbrella attached to a big stick and turned it manually to control the direction
But you rarely did that
You kinda just let the boat take you to wherever
It was fun that way
Partially because all the friends youâd met were made through this method of letting the waves take you wherever it deemed you go next
How your ship has survived for decades you donât really know nor care about
All that mattered was that it floated and was a serviceable vessel (many would disagree with that)
Through the years you stayed the same as the world changed
You never aged from when eating the devil fruit and though you become more mature you were still a kid at heart
One filled with determination
Gol.D Roger
Ironically for someone seen as the âpirate kingâ youâd think that heâd be more mean
But surprise surprise when you pull up on your boat near his own the pirate king himself invites you aboard
Smiling brightly as he offers you a hand and his men tie your boat to his own so it doesnât float away
Your friendship with Roger was something that youâd consider priceless
He is considerably kind and gentle with you
Almost treating you as if you were his own child
His crew is equally welcoming to you as they all share the thought of how in the world had you survived this long (key point technically you hadnât lol)
That day in which you had first met him they throw a small party where your their guest
Drinks are shared all round, you even get to sneak in a sip as Roger laughs whole heartedly at a joke
For the first time in a long while you eat and sleep in a real bed on his ship
And the next day heâs sitting you down to have a serious talk with you
Roger may be childish and oblivious but he can tell thereâs more to this than meets the eye
He isnât pushy or threatening like you had expected
Just asking what your situation was
So you tell him
Perhaps it was because you were still naive or because you knew your secret would be safe with him
But something in you told you to trust him and your gut was never wrong
You expect the reaction to be something like asking you how you got it
maybe even jealousy
But what you get in return is sympathy
He thinks of how lonely you must be
Something more akin to a curse despite its benefits
Youâd never really saw it that way but his gentle gaze full of forlorn sadness makes you open your eyes a bit
In many ways, yes, never dying was a curse of loneliness
Youâd outlive everyone
But in your eyes that time spent and having the opportunity in meeting them i the first place made up for that
Forever sharing their stories and carrying their memory kept you from being alone
He smiles
While you never officially joined his crew you ended up traveling with them for months on end
Becoming apart of their family as the crew took turns letting you sit on their shoulders
Your favourite thing to do though was stealing Rogers coat and hat
Parading around like him as everyone else held in chuckles as you fake ordered them around
It became something of a tradition as Roger would randomly announce to the crew their real captain was here as you walked out
He became a lot like an older brother with fatherly qualities
Fun and caring
Despite knowing you couldnât really die he always remains careful around you
Especially when their fighting marines
He doesnât want you targeted for affiliation so he does his damn best in hiding you away during fights
Hell, he even once punched someone across a bar for trying to pick on you
Like when you trusted him with knowledge of your immortality he trusts you with knowledge of Rouge and his unborn son shortly before his death
Perhaps in some ways he knew his death was soon but he entrusts you with something only his most trustworthy allies are allowed to know
You arenât there when he died but you know for sure he did so with a smile
Clutching one of his coats to your chest you cry with a soft smile as his son is born
Rouge letâs you hold the young baby she named Ace
A fitting name for someone who you knew was bound to be an Ace in the deck of cards that was the world
Monkey D. Garp
You meet Garp cause of Roger
Shocking right (note the sarcasm)
Particularly because Roger entrusted you to show Garp where Rouge was hiding out
It isâŠtense at first to say the least especially since you knew Roger was likely being walked to his execution
The one person you grew to trust more than yourself
But as usual, with time you both began to talk
He asks if your apart of Rogers crew and you answer truthfully
Your not but they had accepted you as their own
Taken in a small child afloat on the ocean without any hesitation
They all respected that your a free spirit that couldnât be tethered to one place forever and accepted that
Garp had already respected Roger but it grew as you talked of the pirate king
This the talk time goes away though when Rouge begins to give birth
Your left panicked and doing your best to comfort her as best you could
Your still a kid, there isnât much you can do but your trying for her sake
For the sake of her unborn child
For Roger
Despite how tears stung your eyes from how hard she held your small hand
You held them back and focused on her
And itâs through that Garp sees how you are indeed not a pirate
Your just a child, one who was alone in this world clinging to a piece of driftwood
Floating from place to place and helping others despite the fact you needed it as well
When Ace is born and Rouge passes away your left to cry as you comfort the young baby boy
The marine carefully takes Ace from your arms and lets you mourn
Not only for a woman who showed you nothing but kindness but also for Roger
And for Ace having to grow up without either parents, for being doomed to a fate of death if anyone else found out of his linage
You end up going with him since you canât yet peel yourself away from Ace
It feels too soon and you need more time for a proper goodbye
Heâs fine with this though
Dare you even say he encouraged you to come with him
Despite yourâŠlacklustre experience with marineâs you find Garp to be nice company
Itâs Odd but he acts almost fatherly?
Thereâs a hidden longing in his eyes of wanting familiar connection
Something that you can relate to after the loss of your mom and dad
A craving for a connection you once thought lost
Eventually though you know itâs your time to leave
With a last goodbye to Ace in the form of a kiss to the forehead and a small handmade charm you set off
Garp is already waiting there though with your boat and a box of supplies
And Garp tells you that youâd make a good marine
You laugh
Never in a million years
And despite knowing your answer he isnât angry, he smiles and waves as you begin to sail away on your dinky âboatâ
He probably shouldâve at least bought you a real boat
Maybe next time he muses
Next time
The cycle begins again
Doflamingo and Rosinante Donquixote
After a long while of traveling you ended up at Dressrosa for a pit stop
But decided to stay a bit longer than you anticipated when you met two boys your age
Both were battered and bruised Beyond recognition
Blond hair muddied with clumps of blood and mud
The two brothers were apprehensive at first but eased up when you offered them the pie you bought yourself
Apparently the entire island HATED them with a passion
Something because of them being celestial dragons which you didnât care about nor understand why that would lead to how others treated them
Itâs messed up to you that their practically beaten for something they canât control
So you stand up for them
Taking the hits for the two brothers as people focus their anger on you apparently betraying them or something
You donât care
Not like you can die anyways but the two blonds donât exactly like seeing their only friend beat up because of them
But that doesnât stop you since you were their friend
And friends help friends
Nor would you stand for such an injustice in your eyes
Rosinante enjoys playing games with you
Out of the two he is more immature in the sense heâs more like a regular kid
He is compassionate and kind despite the circumstances
One who would tend to your wounds as his brother stewed in frightening anger
It scared himâŠhow his brother had some sort of darkness in him that grew
Your the only person he confides this to
And you canât help but also be worried for his bother but also himself
How this could affect him when considering that he brother was one of the only people dear to him
But that was a worry for later
In the moment you focus on keeping him happy and distracted from the cruelties directed towards him
Youâd buy sweet treats, toys and a scavenge bits of pretty shells as gifts
Letting the two keep the small signs of your friendship as a way to at least brighten their days
At some point you had even picked up on his like for heart themed stuff and incorporated that into the stuff you wave gave him
Safe to say he mightâve cried some tears of happiness
Sometimes you worry for him out of the two
Doffy knows that fighting is sometimes the answer but Rosinante doesnât
Along with the fact he trips over thin air
You donât know how many times youâd bandaged him up
But everyone has their quirks you suppose
And you wouldnât change them for the world
Doflamingo on the other hand is very much the opposite of his brother
He doesnât exactly play, he more so soaks up the knowledge you spill of your travels
Stuff of how the world worked
The politics of some of the islands youâd visited
Heâs innately interested to a degree you hadnât exactly expected
But in some sense you appreciated it
Everyone just lumping it under the ramblings of a child
But Doffy doesnât
Speaking of which your the only one permitted to call him that lest they get a swift kick to the ass
Itâs an honour you hold in high regard
Especially since he even gives you a nickname of your own
âKnightâ
Itâs cause apparently your like their own personal knight, something fitting cause he one day swore to rise up back to their proper birth right
Before their parents abandoned it
Heâs strong and knows it but still insists that your their protector of sorts
You donât really argue with him about it anymore
In fact you kinda lean into the name
Making a makeshift sword out of a stick and waving it around in mock sword fights
It brings back fond memories of your old friends that have probably long forgotten you
Except for the fact you had to save Rosinante from almost poking his eye out
Nothing however as usual can last forever
You donât know what had led up to this point but eventually everyone had enough of them
And also you protecting them
Some men dragged you into a town square of sorts one night
Their yelling obscenities at you that you donât flinch at
Even as they tie you in ropes that bite at your skin and walk you towards a chopping block
The crowd holds you down on the block as flames illuminate your face
You can only watch in pity as the Donquixoteâs are forced down to watch as the blade rises above your head
Your only shred tears for your two friends having to watch your death
A smile finds its way on your face
Tears lining your eyes as they cascade down your cheeks, shining due to the warm light of torches
There was cheering from the crowd
Screaming from Doffy
Crying from Rosantine
And the air splitting as the blade came down
And then darkness before a familiar gold shining light appears before you once more
The cycle begins again
What you donât know is that both boys notice your kicked away body dissipate into golden stardust that travels up into the sky before their both blindfolded and strung up
Whitebeard pirates
During your time with Roger he had several encounters with Whitebeard but your first real encounter happens when you end up at an island in their territory
You once again died and ended up there and almost immediately ran into the well known member of the group Marco
Now in his perspective you were a random child who stumbled out an alleyway with scrapes and bruises
How was he not supposed to be worried?
His mind goes immediately to possible conclusions even as you argue with him that your fine
To please not take you to a medic
In reality you really wanted to avoid Whitebeard in case of unearthing memories of Roger
But you donât have much of a choice when this blue bird boy is dragging your ass back to the ship to be properly healed
You donât go down without a fight thoughâŠdoesnât do much but it sure does look like a rabid animal attacked him so itâs something
But your brought to the ship, the good old Moby dick which looks even bigger up close and personal
And there sitting down with tubes attached to him is Edward âWhitebeardâ Newgate
Otherwise known as Rogerâs kinda rival/friend?âŠit was complicated, too complicated for you to understand at least
Everyone aboard welcomes you with a smile even as you keep punching the (in your words) âoversized chicken with a pineapple for a headââS back in vain
Safe to assume the crew grows to like you as your kinda just adopted on board
Their docked at the island for awhile so they havenât just taken off with you being dragged along
Though from what you heard of their track record you wouldnât have been surprised
Marco is the one who interacts with you the most at first mostly cause his devil fruit helped with injures
Despite your petty aggression you do have to admit he is nice company
Heâs rather levelheaded and exceedingly caring
Itâs why he (literally) dragged you here in the first place
Cause he couldnât just leaven an injured kid on their own
You get the sense that due to his fruit heâs older than he seems, it makes sense with the whole Phoenix thing
So you often pose questions of immortality to him to see if he had differing views to you
Surprisingly he didnât
He also carried the mindset of it being worth it due to all the experiences you couldnât have in a lifetime
Itâs nice in a weird way
Just knowing you werenât alone in having to watch the world change as you stay the same
You donât say this aloud of course but he seems happy in discussing the âpossibilityâsâ with you
He takes to looking after you even after your better and interacting with others on the ship
A sense of responsibility for the fact he brought you aboard in the first place
Along with a possible hint of Kinship and a mother hen instinct (Thatch got smacked on the head for that)
Occasionally he likes to change fully or half shift into his Phoenix form to fly around
Itâs a pretty sight
Even more so when he offers to taking you flying as well
Feeling the wind swish past as you soar through the air isnât something youâd ever experienced before
It is ingrained in your mind that sense of adrenaline and rush of a mixture of fear and excitement
Its single-handedly an experience youâd likely never forget
And everyone seems to know it as he places you gently back down on the deck, shaky legs paired with a bright smile and wide eyes
Sometimes you wonder if he has bird instincts but he doesnât answer the question (the crew says yes he does)
Thatch is extremely friendly and because of that (and the food) you end up hanging with him in the kitchen quite a bit
Food had always kinda been an afterthought to you and youâd forgotten what having good food was actually like
But with Thatch he changes that quickly
The food he makes brings back nostalgia of old
The home cooked meals in your mouth after a long day, sitting yourself down at the table as she placed a hot plate in front of you
The scent and steam still rising off of it
He has her smile, bright and gentle
The first time you ate one of his meals and he gave you that look you cried
Which caused an angry Marco to try and yell at him for doing something before you stopped him
While you stay on the ship you unofficially become his little helper
Bringing others their meals and prepping up the buffet when they had a party (which was seemingly every other day of the week)
you tease him about his hair and it then becomes a running joke between you two
The others catch on and they all laugh when you call his pompadour something to piss him off
And then he proceeds to whine about it
He wonât admit it but he sneaks food to Stefan
He of course denies this but you catch him late one night and now use that as blackmail to let you lick the spoon used for the batter for pancakes
Sometimes he styles your hair
The crew laughed their asses off when he made it look like a pompadour
While on your stay at the ship he makes sure to memorize your favourite foods
Especially when he catches glimpses of you being especially sad
Speaking of sad
You almost cry when seeing the familiar freckled face of Ace again
Body freezing over and going stiff as the cowboy hat wearing son of tiger gives you a jolly smile
In a lot of ways heâs not like Roger
But in other ways their more alike than youâd ever expected
Itâs hard being around him
Especially since all you want to do is cry and hug him
To explain that Rouge and Roger loved him more than you could put into words
That you missed him but your glad to see he found a place where heâs accepted
But you canât
You know you canât when your permanently stuck as a child
Never aging even as the world kept changing
Plus you donât know how heâd react to it. Youâd probably sound crazy
So you keep all of it to yourself
But to everyone else itâs obvious that something is going on with you
Sure, they hadnât known you very long but their all good at reading people
Around Ace everyone notices that thereâs a obvious shift in your behaviour
You become reclusive, a look of distant sadness lingering as you avoid him
It doesnât help that he wants to get to the bottom as to why your seemingly afraid of him
You occasionally hide in random closets when you hear him nearby
Thatch and Marco canât get a word out of you as to why you act this way around him
But eventually you begin to let up a bit
Being able to have a proper conversation with the freckled male as he has to hold himself back out of excitement
Itâs still hard but you push through it
Especially when seeing him smile as wide as he did when you looked after him
He still has the charm you gave him
Itâs a little worse for wear but itâs there
As is your matching one that you hide from the crew in your pocket
He likes to show off his powers to you
Watching as your eyes stare at the swirling flames that dance on his arms
What he likes more though is when you question him about his tattoo and brothers
Apparently he has two sworn brothers
One who had sadly passed named Sabo and the other who was still alive named Luffy
His voice is tinged with a certain fondness as he talks about them that you can relate to
In a moment of weakness you ask him about the charm that hangs off his white and red stripped bracket and he smiles
He talks about how someone looked after him when he was younger according to his gramps
They had to leave, but was still out there
They had a matching one to his own
And one day he hoped to find them
You have to turn away and hide your eyes for a moment
With a smile you wish him luck and he replies back that he doesnât need it
Heâd find them
He was right and didnât even know it
From then on he approaches you regularly while your on the Moby dick
Taking you on mini adventures and letting you sit on his shoulders with your hat covering your head
The crew laughs with glee
He jokingly tells you that your already apart of their crew but you know thereâs truth to the words
Heâs always a bit crestfallen at your answer, but even with that he retains hope youâd join
First time he passed out you nearly died again and began crying until Marco comforted you
Not your proudest moment but he seemed particularly touched that you were so emotional about his well-being
Kinda like with Ace your initially on edge around Whitebeard
Sure, heâs welcoming you with a smile and is generally warm but seeing him brings up Roger again
You remember the times youâd sometimes peak out to watch them battle with Shanks and Buggy
Honestly your very relived he didnât recognize you
Nor the coat that you drape over your shoulders
Even moreso cause you can tell he knows something is up with you
Like Ace it takes a lot of time for you to begin to get close to him
But like Ace once again this man is stubborn shit who is patient enough to be able to crash down your barriers but by bit with time
It starts off as him inquiring of your home, your family and if their waiting for you
You respond that your birth family is long gone but you prefer to travel anyways. Finding new friends along the way
The answer worries him but he makes no mention of it
The questions then progress to you asking about some of his experiences
What it was like being rival to the greatest pirate in the world
He laughs at that, mumbling about how Roger was a stubborn pain in the ass
But one whom he considered a friend
Someone he missed
You ask him how he deals with grief, with losing someone close to you but being reminded of them
He says that itâs hard but with that comes a sort of melancholy happiness
That there are still traces of them in the world, even if itâs through simple actions
Like a gentle reminder of their importance and affect on his life
Youâd never thought of it that way..but you think itâs nice
It helps you ease into spending time with Ace and him some more
Both of them are happy about it
At some point he begins asking if youâd like a place here
A home on their ship and crew
You smile and tell him that the sea itself is your home, but you know that this place and itâs people are family
But you also have family elsewhere as well
He accepts that but he does seem saddened and worried
In general a lot of what you do makes him worried
Specifically the disregard of your life and safety
To be fair to him though he doesnât know your basically immortal
Well untilâŠthe attack
Everything was fine, a party was happening and Thatch had brought back a devil fruit
Drinks were shared all around as was the food
Thatch was pretty drunk and you decided to bring the fruit he found back to the pantry to be locked up for now
You didnât see the person follow you
Itâs a bit of a blur but all you removed was burning pain as you heard a chilling laugh
And then there was the screams of voices familiar
Through blurred vision you stare up at a crying Ace as he yells for Marco
He goes to run and get him but you grab him with bloodied hands
Shakily you reach into your pocket pulling out the charm as his eyes widen
You smile through the pain as tears swell in your eyes
âYou found meâ
Whitebeard holds you gently as you hear Ace sob
You fade away cradled in the large warm hands of Whitebeard
The charm matching Aceâs in your hand
They all watch as you crumble away into golden star dust that scatters off into the wind
It is then that the captain of the ship is reminded of what Roger once said
âThereâs one star out there that never dies, their just in a different place in the sky. You just have to find it againâ
âHmfâŠ.sly bastard. Their out there, weâll find them againâ
The cycle begins once again
Buggy
You come by him as a complete accident
Just finding yourself adrift at sea once more when a boat quickly pulls up
And before you know it your met face to face with your old friend
Almost immediately your dragged aboard by him as his crew watches on confused as to why heâs acting all nice?
He looks heâs about to cry
Hint: he is
Immediately your whisked to his private quarters and you quickly get a large hug from the blue haired man
And he is absolutely SOBBING
The poor bud can barely make cohesive sentences as you pat his back
After a few minutes he places you down
And then he realized you hadnât aged a day from when he was a kid
So itâs safe to say you have to explain yourself to him
Heâs amazed while simultaneously horrified
Especially since you brush off your own deaths as an afterthought
But then that goes away when he asks if Shanks knows
And you reply that he doesnât
He begins to laugh his ass off, talking about bragging rights which leaves you confused
Sure, you knew him and the red haired boy had kinda a rivalry but you werenât sure why he wanted bragging rights
So he then explained what happened after Roger died and you disappeared
Apparently after Rogerâs death the two began to drift apart
Petty Arguments growing bigger and bigger before they whet their separate ways
You canât say your surprised but itâs sure sad in your eyes
That his death caused them to go their separate ways
The dynamic duo youâd come to befriend and see as bigger brothers now separated
But even with that your happy to see that Buggy is still his normal self
Sure, heâs brash and at times arrogant. But you wouldnât change him
He was Buggy, unabashedly himself
You stay on his ship for awhile and in that time get to know his crew
Their all still kinda confused how their captain knows you but brush it off
Just accepting it as it is
You end up napping with Richie a lot despite that fact many of your deaths was via animal mauling
The lion enjoys your company, especially as you brush his lavender mane and braid it
After seeing that the captain may or may not have asked you to braid his hair as well
You oblige
During your stay Buggy lingers by you a lot
Perhaps a bit scared to let you go
The crew wonât mention it aloud but somehow your presence makes him more agreeable
Also lessâŠaggressive
They reallly hope theyâll be seeing you around more often
Some might have partially cried when you left due to that
The other half is cause they got attached

-He cared as much as he cared about Ace being Roger's son, aka he did not care.
He hummed after Ace finished confessing both his heritage and the true nature of Dokucha's current ailment.
"Roger, huh, Don't look much like the old bastard," he chuckled, taking another chug of his jar as he glanced at the small girl happily cuddling up to him.
"And a demon, who would have thought? Definitely something you don't see every day," he hummed.Â
"I have just told you I am the child of your greatest enemy and that my sister is a dangerous being. Don't you want to kick us out?"Â
He let out a bellowing laugh at his worries.Â
"See, when I saw you come in with such a somber look on your face, I had thought you had important news to tell me, but I could not think of something more trivial," he exclaimed, laughing further at Ace's shocked expression.
" I could not care less about where you came from or what you are. At the end of the day, we are all children of the sea; your backgrounds do not change the fact that you are now my children."
Ace stares at him for a bit longer until he slumps down, a small smile breaking on his face.  Â
"you're something else pops."
"Gurararara Had me on my toes, boy. I thought I was going to lose my son and my only daughter."Â Â
Dokucha frowned as he tilted the jar further, gulping more and more of the liquid until she had grown tired of it, and kicked the jar away from his grasp, much to the shock of both men.
Whitebeard frowned, glancing at at the wall she had kicked the jar to, watching as all that remained were small fragments littered throughout the floor. Glancing back at the child, who sat on the corner of the bed, kicking her feet as if nothing had occurred
"I already have the nurses and Marco on me for drinking, now you?"
Dokucha glanced his way, and he could notice a slight upward tilt of her lips wrapped around the bamboo and a mischievous glim in her eye.
"Cheeky Brat," He grumbled.
"Don't take your eyes off her boy. She is going to be a troublemaker; I can feel it."
He chuckled
"She already is. Hey pops?" he called, receiving a slight hum from the older male.
"Thank you."
"Don't you get sentimental on me, boy."
He knew she wasn't human due to her lack of food intake and other peculiarities.
"I know," he stated as he continued cutting the kale on his cutting board, the rhythmic sound of the knife hitting the board filling their ears.
"What the hell do you mean, you know?"
"Din't know she was a demon, but I knew she wasn't human either, also." Thatch looks up at him, narrowing his eyes at him and pointing his knife his way
"Stop using those words around your sister; she's gonna end up cursing like us," he grumbled, glancing at Dokucha, who sat next to Ace, dewy eyes staring back at him.
"Hi, pumpkin; you hungry?" he questions, returning to his previous actions of cutting the vegetable, letting out a soft hum when she shakes her head.
"You think I wouldn't notice?" he asks, giving Ace a side glance.
"What?"
"I'm the head chef of this ship, Ace; you think I wouldn't notice the fact that she never eats?" he questioned, raising a brow to the younger male.
"At first, I thought she was shy about eating in the mess hall. We ain't a quiet bunch after all, but she doesn't have any problem with hanging around the mess hall at all," he noted Â
"Maybe I was just missing it, so I started looking more. I never saw her take any food, nor did I see you make any action to give her some; she always said no when anyone offered too," he listed
"What, are you a stalker? he scoffed
"I'm observant, ya nitwit," he snapped back.
"Not to mention the odd sensitivity to the sun, and the little bamboo piece she always carries around didn't help the case alone. They didn't mean much, but it kept stacking up."
He rolled his eyes at that, leaning his head on his hand as he stared at him, his sister looking up at the chef, waiting for his response.
"And you're okay with it?"
"Ace, we have fishmen, minks, mermaids and giants in our crew, not to mention most of the 'humans' in the crew aren't the spittin image of a human, have ya seen Marco? He's a walking chicken, or a pineapple.' He muses, grinning when he gets a choked laugh from the freckled man and a joyful laugh from the demon beside him
"She fits right in with us, and even if she didn't, we still would have made it work for the lil pumkin," he spoke, reaching over the counter separating them and ruffling her hair.
Ace smiles slightly at the interaction until a thought pops into his head.
"Marco is gonna kill you for saying that, y'know?" he snickered, remembering the commander's previous jabs.
"Eh, what he don know won't harm'em."Â
-Knew she wasn't human due to their first encounter, lack of injuries, regeneration, and discrepancies on her devil fruit. (also that is such a nice gift, look at that man < 3)
"Oh, Was that supposed to be a secret?"
"W- you also knew?!"
"Ah, you probably forgot since you were out of it back then, but the little miss was quite protective of you; lunged right at me," he said, looking down at the small girl who began trying to climb her way into his lap, eyes slightly teary as she did
"Ah, it's okay, Dokucha; I know you only meant to protect him; I'm not mad at you," he reassured her as she nuzzled into him.
He looked up, returning the attention to the fire-user
"Her strength wasn't anything to scoff at and at first I thought it was the Toshi-Toshi no mi, but that fruit was consumed by Jewelry Bonnie," he recalled
"Not to mention that The fruit wouldn't change your body the way it did to her; it would only age you up, so that wouldn't explain the teeth, the eyes and the horn," he said, petting her head as she slowly dozed off.
âSeriously, you guys need to lay off on the staringâ
"The cherry on the cake to that was the fact that the injuries she got from our squabble and any other injuries she has ever received healed instantly, much like the Tori-tori no mi Moderu Fenniksu, but last I checked, I'm still alive, and kicking so she can't be the holder of that fruit" he listed, ignoring his previous statement
"She could have just had a different fruit that was capable of those things." Ace pointed out a frown on his face
"Hmm, I thought so too, but I found it weird how, despite her incredible regeneration, she seemed to be incredibly sensitive to the sun, getting quite the nasty burns when she left that umbrella of hers; those are the only injuries I have ever needed to treat on her, it was peculiar but a devil fruit still could have been to blame, until I saw her swimming in one of the islands we stopped in, no care in the world and definitely not weakened by it."
"Hah, I guess we weren't the best at hiding it," grumbled Ace
"You sucked at it," Marco affirmed
"Okay, now you're going too far," he glowered, the scowl on his face growing as the doctor simply threw a smile his way.Â
"Do..do you know of a cure?" he asked tentatively.
" I do not."Â
Ace sighed at that, slumping down in defeat.
"But I'm sure we will find something; I have gathered a good amount of journals and information over the last few years. I don't doubt that the solution is among one of the journals; we just need to look through them,"
"I have been looking through books and information for the last three years. What makes this any difference? "
"The Difference, Ace, is that you were alone, at most with your crew You had what, twenty people? On the other hand, we have more than a thousand in the main crew alone, and that is without taking into account the dozens of subordinate crews and affiliates."
"I see the humility runs deep here," he mutters sarcastically, giving him an unimpressed look.
"Watch it."
He rolled his eyes, waving him off. Â
"Do you really think we can find something?"
"Absolutely"
"You guys may have just recently joined, but you are as much as our siblings as anyone else, not to mention that everyone would do anything for their only sister."
WHAT DO YOU THINK? Again i loved writing this, Like i can just picture Ace dumfounded look as he realized that the crew did not give two craps about it almost everyone already knew, he thought he was being so sneaky. What we thinking of southern Thatch again?
Also cosmo, next request is also yours XD red pirate/whitebeard one. AND after that I have yours holo, second attempt
