reusable bags, reusable produce bags, using plastic free packaging when possible, reusing items for art or in my home, being selective when purchasing new items (will I actually use it?), eco bricking!, and composting.

Returned to Starbound for a bit recently, and decided to make more homes in the rest of the major planet types!

Used a lot of generated structures again, but had to hand make some stuff for the arctic and lava planets (neither of those biomes have generated structures) and couldn't find anything particularly good on the savannah planet.

#my post #starbound #the lava planet was an absolute pain to handle though i like how it ended up with the fairly sparse decoration #several times i got fucked over by meteor strikes and at one point had to remake basically the whole little island from scratch #also had to edit the lush one a bit when i realized it was. too tall for screenshot lmao. i like the way it is now better anyway #the outfits were a little hard to puzzle out bc i tried to keep from reusing anything from the first set of homes #while checking the ogs i was slightly hurt to note that i decided on the pink clothing theme partway through bc the forest home has #my character in green clothes with just a pink dyed back piece. a few of the og outfits couldnt be dyed so tried to pick a few in here #with more non-pink like with the arctic and midnight outfits. god it was hard to put together that midnight outfit lol #the snowy one was kinda funny to decide on bc yeah its the snowy home but its made out of a steamspring biome structure #the midnight one was fun bc i had the idea of there being a lot of lighting inside. and i slightly themed the mutated one as grown over #the savannah one was the only one made entirely from scratch and i do really like it #hoping the screenshots arent shitty

prefacing this with i am on a train and can't check my books: what if the reason the houses are so 'behind' when it comes to tech (swords instead of guns, plastic pens being archaic) is jod's interpretation of returning to a less wasteful existence? he was someone who wanted to save humanity from a death they brought on through wastefulness and industry. what if, being built on one man's ideas, the nine houses are designed on an earlier existence - one without plastic, or true paper, or other resources dependent on nonrenewable natural resources

Land of fields and frogs

A vast world with grass fields that stretch on for miles and frogs hidden about.

The land is comfortable but stagnant. Though there are the familiar fields and picket fence with a clear sky overhead to lull in a sense of complacency, the air is heavy with no wind. The water is still and cold, and the tadpoles are unable to metamorphize.

The land quest would be to light the forge and disrupt the planets idleness. Yet, doing so would forever alter the planet. Theming surrounding having to go out of your comfort zone and the important things we lose even during change that is for the betterment.

#dndadstuck #i imagine linc being able to be acutely aware that somethings wrong even at the worlds relative face value peacefulness.#being in a place he should love but not being able to relax would be chief among the mixed signals he gets from his planet that unnerves hi #lincs world is the most chill one i imagine during down time this is where the kids hang around the most #some more things in tandem w the themeing #there are no trees #theres only the one type of flower #the consorts until the forge is ignited are not able to be all that technologically advanced #the planet as a whole pre ignition (as i drew it) is lush but relatively one note/monochrome
