Comfort food(s): pastries in general, i'd say. donuts, croissants, muffins ... just something really nice about something rich and filling. also a big fan of berries in general, esp raspberries.
Comfort drink(s): peanut butter milkshake. honestly i just like peanut butter a lot in general but OH a good milkshake with globs of peanut butter in it ... absolute heaven.
Comfort movie(s): finding nemo, shane acker's 9, cats don't dance, any of the movies i grew up watching with my family and we quote from all the time. so. princess bride, young frankenstein, kung pow! ...
Comfort show(s): my little pony: friendship is magic, bluey, the ghost and molly mcgee, buffy: the vampire slayer, fma '03.
Comfort clothing: uhh probably stuff that's reasonably soft and comfy, like sweatpants, that doesn't feel TOO much like pjs otherwise i just feel lazy and sluggish all day.
Comfort song(s): " here comes a thought " from the su soundtrack; " rug island " from the bluey soundtrack; " one summer's day " from the spirited away ost"; celestia's ballad " from the mlp: fim soundtrack; " lady of dreams " by vast; " daisy bell " by tinhat.
Comfort book(s): prolly the big calvin and hobbes comic anthology books and the captain underpants series. both are things that made me really wanna explore drawing and imagining as a child, as the chronically spaced out kid that spent all my time coming up with stories and doodling. also " the giver " by lois lowry. one of the first books i ever remember crying while reading. i borrowed it from my 4th - 5th grade teacher's library and held on to it since then. also SUPER love concept art / art of books and get so happy when i get my hands on art books for things i'm into.
Comfort game(s): luigi's mansion, kirby 64: the crystal shards, pokemon: crystal version.

I love making covers and banners for my new books... this part isn’t a chore for me. It’s the dessert to the meal that is writing and editing the novel. This is the part I enjoy doing and it makes the grueling work well worth it.
Check out all the places where you can purchase my new book!
- Apple Books
- Barnes & Noble
- Scrib’d
- Kobo
- Chapters Indigo
- Smashwords
- Lulu (Hardcover)
- Lulu (Softcover)
While I wish the hardbound books were cheaper, most of the electronic copies about about the price of a large cup of coffee.
Thank you in advance for your support and I hope you love the new book!

Mystery of the Druids funfact number two! Lowry floating is indeed a graphical error caused by new graphic-…stuff messing up the game’s optics. In old footage about the game you can see Lowry sitting in his chair as intended. Yes I’m not smart enough to actually explain it but yeah sorry the game isn’t cursed and Lowry won’t float above your bed at 3 am shittalking your PJ’s I’m so sorry :(

GET TO KNOW THE BLOGGER.
Can be used for RP and non-RP blogs to get to know a bit about the person behind the screen!
Tumblr media
1. FIRST NAME: castoro!
2. STRANGE FACT ABOUT YOURSELF: i used to live on the navy base in iceland before it was closed down, when i was very young. was only for a few years, but i’m so glad i had the experience. skyr is ... so so good.
3. TOP THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU FIND ATTRACTIVE ON A PERSON: eyes are a big one, curves, and freckles.
4. A FOOD YOU COULD EAT FOREVER AND NOT GET BORED OF: rice, if it’s made right. good rice is fuckin’ superb.
5. A FOOD YOU HATE: anything with bbq sauce. just can’t do it. i’ve tried so many times and i cannot.
6. GUILTY PLEASURE: shitty pop music, which is why i rarely share my musical tastes with people.
7. WHAT DO YOU SLEEP IN: pj pants and a loose shirt.
8. SERIOUS RELATIONSHIPS OR FLINGS: i’ve done both, and there’s things to enjoy about either. right now, i’m more in the mood for something long - term rather than casual fun, so i’d say a serious relationship.
9. IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN THE PAST AND CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WOULD YOU AND WHAT WOULD IT BE: i wish i hadn’t bungled dropping out of college so badly. i’m pretty deeply in school debt now, such that it’ll be a long time before i can ever go back. but i do think dropping out was the right choice at the time, as i was MASSIVELY depressed at the time and not gaining anything from being there. honestly, there’s a lot i wish i could redo around that time. i was pretty bitter and unpleasant, and made a few choices i regret.
10. ARE YOU AN AFFECTIONATE PERSON: yeah, i think so! i can be kinda nervous and touch can overwhelm me at times, but i like showing people i care about them with words or gestures.
11. A MOVIE YOU COULD WATCH OVER AND OVER AGAIN: i’ve listened to the songs from the steven universe movie so many times and rewatched my favorite scenes so many times, i’m actually gonna say that’s my pick at this point. it’s so GOOD.
12. FAVORITE BOOK: i haven’t seriously read a book in YEARS, which is stupid and lame and i hate it. i used to be an avid reader, now it’s a struggle to find the time and desire to get through one. i’ll just go with my usual answer, “ the giver ” by lois lowry, because it’s the one book i can think of that made a HUGE emotional impact on me. like i seriously started crying reading some parts of it. also, i accidentally kept a copy one of my favorite teachers kept in her classroom library, so there’s an additional sentimental attachment there.
13. YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO KEEP ANY ANIMAL AS A PET, WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE: i’d love to have more rats!
14. TOP FIVE FICTIONAL SHIPS [IF YOU ARE AN RP BLOG, YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN SHIPS AS WELL]:
- chalastor ( hazbin hotel ) - dislestia ( mlp: fim ) - mercyroad ( overwatch ) - stevonnie ( steven universe ) - billford ( gravity falls )
15. PIE OR CAKE: cake all the WAY. not many pies i actually like, tbh.
16. FAVORITE SCENT: always loved the scent of pine. just gives me a lotta nostalgia for christmas. also nag champa incense smells really good.
17. CELEBRITY CRUSH: n / a.
18. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO: mostly i’d just wanna see my family and my friends. i miss them all, and it’s been years since i’ve seen some of them.
19. INTROVERT OR EXTROVERT: textbook introvert.
20. DO YOU SCARE EASILY: oh yes. i’m naturally pretty tense and anxious, so it’s easy to spook me. i also used to watch horror / true crime content late at night which was a bad idea, because it made sleeping very difficult.
21. IPHONE OR ANDROID: android.
22. DO YOU PLAY ANY VIDEO GAMES: mostly just overwatch at this point. i’ve sorta wanted to try a few others, but it’s difficult to find the time and generally i wanna be doing other stuff when i have free time.
23. DREAM JOB: a screenplay writer, or just ... a writer in some capacity on a cartoon. i absolutely love to write and think it’d be nice to contribute to a project i was passionate about.
24. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS: pay off my debts, first and foremost. once those were taken care of, get a place to live that i could sustain over the next few years as the money runs out. it’d be nice if i didn’t have to work for a while and could focus on fixing myself and my life.
25. FICTIONAL CHARACTER YOU HATE: FUCKING WALTER WHITE. FUCK THAT GUY. I FUCKIN’ HATE THAT DUDE.
26. FANDOM THAT YOU WERE ONCE A PART OF BUT AREN’T ANY LONGER: see, if i’m in a fandom i generally still keep it on the backburner. that said, the one fandom i can think of that i have no attachment to any longer is glee. i was in glee fandom for the first two seasons, but then the show went down the shitter and i gave up on it.
i still listen to the covers, but i don’t engage any further than that.

Keeps the Family Photography Tradition Alive in New Exhibition
Liverpool Echo -- May 28, 2013; By Paddy Shennan
Photographer enjoys following in mum Linda and uncle Mike's footsteps
Life doesn’t get much better than this. I am sitting in a room surrounded by extraordinarily talented women. Madonna, Marianne Faithfull, Helen Mirren, Gwyneth Paltrow, Björk, Chrissie Hynde and many others are just yards away. And it isn’t just talented and famous women – just around the corner, for example, the marvellous Morrissey is grabbing people’s attention. It’s a feast for the eyes and, even better, I am sitting alongside the supremely-gifted woman who made all this possible – photographer Mary McCartney.
We are here – all of us, in some form or other – at The Lowry in Salford, for the stunning exhibition Developing: Photographs by Mary McCartney.
Many of the brilliant large-scale images featuring those already mentioned, as well as many others, not least Mary’s sister, Stella, and their late mum, Linda, are dedicated to “The Radical Woman.”
Photography doesn’t run in the McCartney family, it gallops. Linda was a renowned photographer, Mary’s Merseyside-based uncle Mike has been putting people (including Lennon and “our kid”) in the frame since he was a young man, Stella’s life as a top fashion designer goes hand-in-hand with photography – and dad is pretty keen on it, too.
Mary says: “I grew up around photography (a picture taken by Linda of Mary as a baby, being held inside dad’s jacket, adorns the sleeve of Paul’s 1970 debut solo album, McCartney). Mum and dad were always into candid, beautiful photography."
“But I never ever thought I’d be a photographer. It wasn’t until my early 20s that I really picked up a camera. I went into my mum’s archive when she asked me to help her with a book and that inspired me. Also, one of my best friends, Teresa Armitage, who worked on the Hillsborough charity single, inspired me – by showing me her holiday snaps!”
Discussing the photographs all around us, Mary says: “There is a kind of connection between me and the sitter.” But today Mary is the sitter, and there is an instant connection between her and ECHO photographer Andy Teebay as, immediately after being introduced, they talk cameras for a few minutes.
Mary, meanwhile, will naturally have had countless camera conversations with her family, including, of course, dad Paul – one of the most photographed men on the planet.
He’s not in this exhibition, but Mary says: “I took pictures of him recently for his new tour and for his album Kisses On The Bottom. It is a little intimidating, for two reasons. One, because he has been photographed by some of the most amazing photographers and two, because he’s my dad and so I feel an extra responsibility – I want him to like the photographs.
“But he’s great. He’s got a really playful energy and often starts messing around. He likes spontaneity and I always get something that wasn’t planned – and I like that. He’s interested in photography and my mum was a professional photographer when they met. They would talk about photography and she introduced him to lots of her gallery and fine art photography.”
She adds: “My mum had a way of putting people instantly at ease. She would just be hanging out with you and would take a quick photo – she wouldn’t put the camera in your face.”
Uncle Mike, meanwhile, is always observing and always taking pictures: “He’s an inspiration. Whenever we are together he’s got his camera with him. I like that kind of photography. He’s always fresh and interested and smiling.”
Mary may have been born in London, but she travelled the world from an early age and had parents who were so proud of their roots – and she recalls: “If people asked me I’d say I was half Liverpudlian and half American. My accent used to be a bit of a weird mix.
“We would come up to Merseyside for New Year and stop off in the summer on our way to Scotland. I just love the warm atmosphere in Liverpool and I love the family element to it. It’s beautiful, too. I came up recently to do some photography on the film about (Irish philanthropist) Christina Noble, looked at the blue sky and wonderful architecture and thought ‘Why don’t I come here all the time?’”
This is a woman who was taken on Beatle tours from an early age – by a Beatle!
She reveals: “Yes, dad would drive us round. We’d been in the car for six hours and he would say ‘I’m just doing a tiny detour – this is where I used to live’. He would say ‘Do you understand how many people would love to be shown around by a Beatle?’ – but we just wanted to get home and watch TV! It was like when we were telling him to stop playing the guitar when we were watching the telly.”
Hang on – you told Paul McCartney, the real-life former Beatle, to stop playing the guitar?!
Mary laughs and says: “That’s what he would say! And we’d reply ‘Get over it!’ Now I appreciate it, but it’s different when you’re in your early teens. It was similar with my mum’s photography. She was always taking pictures and in a way you dismissed it when you were younger. The amount of pictures she took from a car window... she would get these amazing shots – but when I tried later I missed them!”
All the time we talk, I can feel the eyes of Mary’s sitters on me – and she says: “The subjects are so interesting and they were interesting situations to be in. For example, to take the Duchess of Devonshire’s photograph I got to go to Chatsworth in Derbyshire, while I photographed Lily Cole on a horse outside St Pancras station. They are all like little adventures. And it’s great that all these photographs have been brought together in one exhibition because it reminds me of how many amazing people I’ve met.”
And does there need to be a certain chemistry between you? “Chemistry is quite important because if there isn’t any it can be a bit bland,” says Mary. “The worst thing would be if the sitter had no interest in being there, but I have been quite lucky.”
This is obvious from the evidence all around us.
“It’s a team effort,” stresses Mary. “And I try not to make it too gruelling. I try to set up a nice environment, use nice locations and I like to keep moving.”
It’s naturally difficult for Mary to pick a favourite photograph, but she says: “I love PJ Harvey and I love Helen Mirren, because that was one of the first I took (in 1998). And I love the one of Chrissie Hynde because it’s a bit quirky – she’s lying on the floor in a designer suit next to her cat. And with my Royal Ballet project I immersed myself in their world.”
It strikes Andy and me that Mary’s photographs would look great on the walls of a Liverpool gallery. “I’ve not been asked but there would be a chance of bringing it to Liverpool,” she says. Come on, somebody, ask her. And you could bring your dad, Mary – he’d be able to take you on another Beatle tour!
Developing: Photographs by Mary McCartney is at The Lowry in Salford until Sunday June 9.

raptors, rockets, bucks ✨
hehe, oh boy, this should be fun.
toronto raptors: a good team, props to them for playing the team before them in finals. they got a good cast of players (with or without kawhi). i like them. i like the players, kyle lowry is cool, serge ibaka, norman powell, marc gasol. they’re an A++ organization. masai ujiri is a good GM. coach nurse did well on his first year as head coach, i mean got a championship, haha. i really appreciated the players telling the crowd to stop cheering when kd went down, mad respect to them for that. sorry, this seems so dry, but i like them.
houston rockets: yikes honest opinion here we go… i dont like them. i dont have too many teams or players i dislike but this team happens to have a player i heavily dislike and the team with probably one of the worst fans. sorry, i’m not a harden fan. let me say this first, i appreciate his game and consider him a top 10 player, but for myself, i dont like him. beating this team for the third straight time + without kd was pure bliss. i still watch highlights of that game 6 to this day. stephen curry is literally the father of this team. also, let’s not forget how the official twitter page bluntly said that giannis didnt deserve mvp over harden + we got harden saying giannis got mvp bc of media narratives. sick, sorry. let’s also talk about how steph curry dropped 33 pts on his ass too. so, i dont like this team. at all. sorry, capela, rivers, eric gordon, pj tucker (i like them dw). if they get a chance of championship, i’m going to throw up. they’re literally the anti-warriors to me tbh, harden and his flopping ass. oops this got long
milwaukee bucks: i wanted a giannis vs kd matchup man, ngl!! was cheering them during ecfs!!! i love giannis!!! giannis to the bay 2020 just kidding but am i !! i like this team! if my warriors dont make it to finals, i want the bucks!! anyway, they’re a very talented team! they have a really good coach too. i love the players on this team and i like watching them play. i wanted them to play against the warriors in the finals but i know their loss in ecfs should fuel that championship fire, so i’m looking forward to see how they come back from that loss.

Jimmy Butler as a strong winger? Erik Spoelstra seems skeptical
After PJ Tucker’s departure to the Sixers, Heat fans are wondering who will be the starting power forward in Florida for the start of the season. While one of the options is to shift Jimmy Butler to the position. This would give a major five probably composed of Kyle Lowry, Max Strus and Duncan Robinson on the outside positions, with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo on the inside positions. Asked…

Does Warmth have a look at a case Right here Comes the Solar? Mercury Information
Q: Will the Jae Crowder buyout take care of all events concerned? – Nat. A: Not so long as the Solar considers Jay Crowder an asset. This isn’t a case of getting to get one thing in return instantly. Phoenix can play the lengthy sport, enable Jae to avoid the staff, after which act when the staff comes up with one thing tangible in return. Jay nonetheless has sufficient to supply to make the contender even higher, together with the Warmth. The issue is that he apparently desires a job to start with and a foremost position for the minutes. The Warmth is put collectively to ship that. What they don’t seem to be set in is matching parts of the wage cap. However, sure, after that long-running clarification, if Jay Crowder will get the Suns takeover deal, the Warmth will probably be on the prime of the checklist among the many , with Jay mutual curiosity. Q: There’s little significance to continuity, however it’s the secret sauce for many championship groups. – David. A: And there’s something to be stated about that from a Hit perspective. However the Warmth are additionally not fairly instead of continuity, contemplating they initially misplaced their energy ahead, with out an obvious substitute for PJ Tucker. Additionally, with 40 % of the Warmth’s beginning lineup nonetheless unsure (beginning energy ahead, third wing), this is not precisely a case of choosing up the place I left off. Q: Hello Ira. In your opinion, does the beginning lineup that includes Kyle Lowry, Tyler Hero, Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin and Pam Adebayo supply the correct mix of assault and protection to compete for the highest seed within the East? Carlos, West Park. A: Amongst these parts, sure. What I am undecided of is that if it offers sufficient spacing between the ground and 3-point taking pictures. That is why I used to be in a position to see Max Strus left within the opening combine. However I might say the quintet you have provided aligns with the most effective odds, in the meanwhile, for a possible Warmth opening evening begin. () Originally published at San Jose News HQ
