So... I actually played a lok of DND once upon a time...
Tumblr media
This is Harvey, He's a Wizard. with a gun. why my dm allowed it, well, Rasins. XD
Liganthium Estate-
Father: Osvaldo Dedrick Liganthium - Mother: Estelle Fredrica Liganthium - Isa Alma Noriko (This is Mama)
Tumblr media
Firstborn Son: Nathanial Colt Liganthium - Daqrian (Darius) Clay(ton) Stanford
Tumblr media
Secondborn Son(older twin): Isaiah Miguel Liganthium - Issac Luther Morrison (Aka My boy Harvey short for Harvester as he collects bounties and bodies for a recluse doctor's work, this doctor, not actually evil. weirdly enough.)
Tumblr media
Thridborn Son (younger twin):Micheal Preston Liganthium - Fenton Syais Yarami (Still thinks his dad isn't evil, naive son of a bi-)
Tumblr media
Fourthborn son: Lucas Patterson Liganthium -Elias Hudson Navarro (Mills/Miles Maldona) Miles was abandoned as a toddler for his unique genetic abilities just ast Nathanial was abandoned/his father tired to get him assassinated after their mother died... adopted by an elven Noble lady who kicks absolute but and runs a grungy punk dystopia in crevasses to rob other snooty nobles blind and indulge their desires until they fall from grave, her name is Lady Maldona- or Nilsadorei Maldona, grouchey kick butt grey haired elf lady. Loves Miles as her own and would literally commit a coup for him.
Tumblr media
Miles finding his big brother in a underground prison where their father had him sent due to his unsightly abilities unbefitting a noble name.
Tumblr media
yeah, they literally gator boys... Fenton doesn't know he has any other siblings except his "lesser" twin Harvey. Harvey is the only reason their dad is nice to Fenton because surprise! little seven year old harvey found out about his father's assassination attempt and hatred of his "disgraceful beasts of sons" and Harvey kinda has the paper trail.... so yeah, Nathaniel is in a prison for being a monster because technically his dad Can't kill him, Harvey is trying to find his brothers, Miles is commiting state crimes. and Fenton is trying to live his life as a diplomat....
Ages of the boys when their mother died Nathanial- 6 Isaiah- 4.7 (older by 17 minutes, but one could argue it was technically 18 due to the time it takes for them to actually call the time of birth in such a hectic setting and under the pressure of us being born of… the liganthium estate…) Micheal- 4.7 Lucas- 2 or 3
Liganthium Estate- Father: Osvaldo Dedrick Liganthium - Mother: Estelle Fredrica Liganthium - Isa Alma Noriko (birth name) Firstborn Son: Nathanial Colt Liganthium Daqrian (Darius) Clay(ton) Stanford (chosen name) Secondborn Son(older twin): Isaiah Miguel Liganthium Issac Luther Morrison (chosen name) Alias Harvey/Harvester Thridborn Son (younger twin):Micheal Preston Liganthium Fenton Syais Yarami (chosen name) Fourthborn son: Lucas Patterson Liganthium -Elias Hudson Navarro or Mills/Miles Maldona (chosen name)
Thallia Eora Argius- Adopted Daughter (Terminally ill but kept in stasis on the Doctor's farm, so she can't deteriorate health wise or age but she's still running around being a kid under the doctor's care Finnley Koyomi (Morrison) (Pup) (Runt)- Adopted son (found abandoned for being a "beast" is a human with canine traits, sense of smell ears tail etc.
Morgan Pokanin Deliwitz- Doctor and employer (Scary, unpersonable pays Harvey to get him bodie...) Osaio Delacian Havender- Co-worker and resident of Morgan's (terrifying scarred up man with black hair an peircing eyes that can canish into black mist... not very friendly...) Kormin and Pixie- Co-worker and his daughter, both residents at Morgans (BIG Himbo spider boy and his tiny spooder daughter! live off of sunshine and rainbows)
Kalthavian Mauradus- edgy disruptive co-worker (ass hat.)
Keiwynn Valbella (Morrison)- Dragon child- Harvey ended up finding a Albino dragon egg and now he has a very bratty daughter. still cute though. -----
Found family/adopted noble elven family
Garinthere Raloxidorian Venrir: mentor and keeper (Father) Alligaris Neaqen Zumwarin Herathos- Best friend- Headmaster of a Academy in the Transmutation district (Surrogate brother. a higher noble famil's son that took in Harvey at a young age after his father tried to auction him off into a political marriage and Al kinda just whined until his father acquired the grumpy human boy to be his friend and Guard of sorts) (Ka)cirquen Trakas Herathos- Lord Herathos (al's dad) Moljwynia Daeleth Ravharis- Mama Herathos (Wynaria, Molji or Wyni) (Al's mom)
Valsatra Lorabella Fushaean- childhood friend (ends up the Ace chaos boy's love interest? idk they like cuddle and stuff now so thats fun. also Val, Monster hunter. Bobbie Harvey
Emerging artist Bobbie Harvey is quickly set to make a name for herself in the music industry. The talented songwriter presents her newest anthem, ‘GOOD LOVE’. The R&B/Soul fusion delivers a groovy, full-bodied production paired with an emotion-drenched, sonorous vocal that soothes and incites at every turn. ‘GOOD LOVE’ will captivate anyone from the first note with her message-heavy lyricism that takes the listeners on a transcending journey highlighting an empowering, lovers-tale. Listen below.
Room Thirteen
‘Tiny Scar’, the first single from Room Thirteen’s upcoming fourth album, Crooked Palm, is out now. Room Thirteen is a collaboration between audio/visual artists Courtney Asztalos, Abigail Clark and Danny Clifton. All three are from Florida, a culture and landscape that has colored their work from the beginning back in 2014. This album was recorded in a 1970’s single-wide beach trailer in the small coastal town of Shell Point, FL, shortly before it was destroyed by Hurricane Michael in 2019. The album rides the edge between light and dark; like a Disney acid trip filled with missing teeth, guitars that sound like crying dogs, and answering machine solos heard in a cruise ship casino. Listen to ‘Tiny Scar’ below.

Pixi Ink
London-based singer-songwriter and producer Pixi Ink is back with her new single ‘Ripple’, an Alt-RnB and TripHop fusion. The track was written, produced and mixed by Pixi Ink and features a Hip-Hop inspired drum and bass line recorded by Dorset based musician Guy Keep as well as samples related to the #MeToo movement and spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle’s musings on being ‘A Ripple in the Ocean’ underpinning the songs central message. The song is as much a middle finger to sexism as it is a nod to feminism. Pixi was inspired by all the change achieved by females and underrepresented groups speaking out about sexism and their experiences in recent years. With a similar juxtaposition to Portishead’s ‘Glory Box’, ‘Ripple’ has a sultry, sensual feel and vocal. The verse lyrics are a tongue in cheek, side eye toward misogyny and objectification while the main chorus hook reveals the songs true intention, a message both of frustration and desire for change: “I just want to be, I just want to be (free)”. Listen below.

Alycce
Producer Alycce delivers handmade pop and electronic sounds which spread a lost hope for happy times. Her sound is best distinguished by her positively charged basslines, syncopated synth sounds and driving rhythms. New single ‘Feel Again’ feat. Riva Leon forms part of a wider EP project - Broken Hearts Club - due for release later this year. ‘Feel Again’ is a single driven by positively charged basslines, syncopated synthesizer sounds and driving rhythms. Influenced by the likes of Mark Ronson, Diplo and Calvin Harris -  the song spreads a light-hearted summer feeling. Speaking on the release, Alycce says “I wanted to spread love and good vibes after months of despair and isolation. Just fleeing the day-to-day life even if it's just for a few minutes." Listen below.
Mandolynne
Mandolynne is an emerging indie-alternative artist from Prince Edward County, Ontario. Mandolynne met with a string of tragedies from a young age, used writing as a tactile way to explore her dark thoughts and verbalize her internal reactions to her surroundings. Her lyrics are a direct reflection of her lived experiences and have enabled her to face many demons, including sexual assaults, a tragic car accident, as well as her troubled and dysfunctional upbringing. Mandolynne uses each piece as a way to process these events and has found healing during the process. For lovers of Metric, Sharon Van Etten, Cat Power, Kandle, and Placebo, her music is sure to resonate. Currently, Mandolynne is working on her debut EP that reflects her trauma, survival, and uprising. Her new song ‘HANDS’ is out now. “When we exit abusive situations, they leave an imprint that impacts us for years moving forward,” says Mandolynne. “Writing my new song, ‘HANDS,’ has allowed me to release a weight I had been holding onto for so long. It's the power anthem I needed then (and still do). I hope it can be that for you as well. I feel like often, as survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and trauma in general, we forget how resilient we are and how much power we hold; at least for myself, that had become my truth after years of living in survival mode. We forget that light exists out there and often feel like we're destitute to live in the dark forever. The dark can feel safe, the shadows of your past become your friends, and we can become really attached to it. ‘HANDS’ has given me space to intentionally and freely explore what it felt like to confront my self-doubt and demons. I have now stepped into my power as a survivor, someone living with PTSD, and as a woman.” Listen below.

Kaylee Patterson
Montreal-based indie pop singer-songwriter Kaylee Patterson has released her emotionally charged and liberating new single, ‘Not Sorry,’ produced by Jay Century (Kaskade, Duckwrth, Starley)/ “I had broken up with my abusive ex of six years and while this was a long time coming, it led me down a long, dark road of self-doubt.” explains Kaylee of the song. “My first relationship, my first breakup - the crippling guilt of ending things was unbearable. After the initial pain and sadness faded away, I found that I didn’t have any of me left. One day, about a year later, I woke up and suddenly the guilt was gone. I found myself not thinking about him for long periods, or compulsively re-reading our old messages. Writing ‘Not Sorry’ began my journey towards forgiving myself and active healing. Listen below.

Test Card Girl
Test Card Girl is the solo project of Manchester, UK singer/songwriter Catherine Burgis who started unexpectedly writing songs in 2019 aged 35. Bored of an admin-based existence, Catherine set off on a song-writing journey into all corners of her mind, simultaneously becoming a stand-up comedian touring the country with a novelty miniature keyboard. She takes her name from the iconic image of the girl and clown used on UK television to signal the end of evening broadcasting - a girl trapped in a technicolour world of screens and machines. ‘We'll Always Be There' (Acoustic) is a taster of Test Card Girl's upcoming EP. While a new version of the song is currently being worked on for the EP, this version uses the original vocals and guitar captured on the day the song was written. The song is dedicated to the artist's father, and is about being there to support someone who's past can sometimes overwhelm them, through no fault of their own. It calls to mind images and sounds of the sea and memories of a lighthouse visited as a child on a storm-battered beach. The song encompasses Test Card Girl's signaturesound - finger-picking folk interlaced with retro synth-sonics but shies away from her usual harmony layers to leave a more vulnerable solo voice to tell the song's story. Listen below.

Jen North
Jen North is a 17 year old singer songwriter from Shropshire. She has just released her new single ‘In My Dreams’ taken from her forthcoming EP. “This EP is the foundations to who I am as an artist,” she says. “I started this project a year ago; messing around with my production skills enabled me to understand the path I wanted to take with my music. I then found 2 producers from North London, who along with my brother, had the same passion for my project.” In 2019, she was scouted for The X Factor: The Band. Jen has always strived for organic growth as an artist, so the show didn’t align with her visualized route, but she felt here was a chance to get feedback from industry professionals. She did get through and received overwhelming feedback from the judges. Although a great experience, she decided to decline the offer and continue her path as an independent artist. Her new single ‘In My Dreams’: “The feeling of actually coming to terms with not seeing someone again, but finding a sort of comfort that you’ll see them in your dreams. Dreams are an immersive experience, able to evoke all of the senses. Therefore, In my dreams is a story that stretches beyond the music. I want to take listeners on a visual journey, luring them into a blurry, dreamlike reality.” Listen below.
Villa Monroe
‘Palms’ is the new single from pop duo Villa Monroe. This is the second single from the album Postcards which will be released in the winter. After a really bad session with Villa Monroe, Foad takes a nap on the studio sofa. When he wakes up he creates what becomes the foundation for the song ‘Palms’. He sends the demo to Anna-Karin along with the words ”it’s been really dark for a long  time, but it’s slowly getting brighter”. Anna-Karin continues to build the song with lyrics of solace, to make peace with the fact that it takes time to heal,  and that everything will be okay in the end. The result is a dreamy, elevating tune with powerful choruses and shimmering synth pads. Villa Monroe exists in a cinematic soundscape with 80s inspired synths and heavy beats, with echoes of seductive melodies. Like the love child of Lana Del Ray and Eurythmics, raised by Kate Bush. Villa Monroe was conceived by singer-songwriter Anna-Karin Westerlund and sound designer/composer Foad Arbabi. With Foads extensive experience as a producer and Anna-Karin’s unique abilities as a singer and songwriter, they created Villa Monroe as a love letter to, and continuation of the synthetic pop of the past. Listen to ‘Palms’ below.

Daniella Spadini
Daniella Spadini is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter who hails from the rural valley of Northern California. Growing up, she learned to fill the quiet of small-town life with songs of her own creation. Her early influences— including Frank Sinatra, Carole King, and the Beatles— shaped her lyrically driven style, within which she reflects her modern muses, such as Ed Sheeran, JP Saxe, Sasha Sloan, and Adele. Known for her playful wit, Spadini's work is soul-bearing, yet coy. She walks this delicate line with her listeners in tow, letting them feel every laugh and every cry along the way. Daniella had this to say about her new single: "I never realized how much I needed someone until quarantine. Alone in my studio apartment, I wrote this song while reflecting on just how badly I desired to be around others again, even in some small way. Thus, ‘Part Of You’ was born, and even as quarantine lightens up, it speaks to the passive loneliness we all feel from time to time– and how we all know what we truly desire: a little bit of company." Listen below.

You mentioned that you thought "Middle School: The Worst Years of my Life" was terrible especially compared to Diary of Wimpy Kid. Is is possible you can explain those reasons now? (Sorry for the English, I failed it 3 years in a row then took mathematical English)
I’ve had this in my inbox for a while because this is one that I find interesting and have a lot of strong feelings about. But in general the idea is that Middle School lives and dies on forced tragedy while attempting to make its way on the easy going romp for preteens circuit. This is in general a problem with James Patterson: He finds it hard not to ramp up the angst in any situation which is fine for his adult orientated drama thrillers, but comes across overzealous and disingenuous.
Meanwhile DOAWK doesn’t do that. The main character is a jackass, and gets into small time jackass shenanigans. No one is perfect but no one is a wife beating asshole or a dead brother imaginary friend, or a manic pixie dream girl.
They’re people. And for a story about relatability that’s intending to make the average middle schooler feel seen, “little white boy is a bit of a dick” reads a lot stronger than “white boy has the most tragic family and school life ever told”.
The DOAWK movie feels like a coming of age story for a middle schooler. Middle School is Fight Club but it’s trying to be a DOAWKs style coming of age story.
Middle School is desperately chasing DOAWK in terms of relatability but refuses to be simple. Rafe can’t just be dick he’s gotta be attempting to fight societ-I mean the school rules, he’s gotta have a mom who’s barely getting by, he’s gotta have an abusive stepdad with a totally not alcohol addiction. Greg is a dick because he’s a 13 year old, and weren’t we all just a little bit?
And that’s the general idea

— Chicago Fire band!AU
Emily Foster headcanons:
“You guys are total wimps. Come on, just speed the tempo up a little bit. Pleeeease? I’m dying over here, and if you guys tell me to cool it on the bass drum one more time you’re going to feel the wrath of my sticks.”
Drummer of The 51’s
Emily Foster has absolutely zero chill on the drums in the best way possible, but she purposely speeds the songs up all the time
Spends her free time trying to learn cool tricks with her sticks (and fails miserably)
Not only does she not scold Gallo for trying to backflip off the stage, but she helps him with it and tries to get him to do even stupider things (“Yeah, really put your back into it. And flip your guitar around midair too!”)
Will absolutely fight any audience members who try and hit on and/or disrespect her, Sylvie, or Stella. Like seriously. One time they played at Molly’s and Stella had to hold her (and Matt) back after a drunk idiot threw his beer bottle at the stage
Gets coffee and donuts for the band every morning while they’re on tour
Has total control over the radio on their tour bus and nobody dares to try and steal it from her (she has great taste in music though so they don’t fight her on it)
Wears sunglasses all the time: during their gigs, while driving, during the after shows. It gets to a point where people start calling her Shades, just like Guy Patterson from That Thing You Do
Inspirations: Spice Girls, Miley Cyrus, Pixies
Listens to 100 Gecs unironically to get herself psyched up for performances and it drives everyone crazy
Emily always brings her sticks with her to work and taps them on the dashboard of the ambo to practice their songs while Sylvie drives and Sylvie acts like she hates it but ends up singing along every time
She and Gallo are the only members of the band who are a) single, and b) don’t have a “no dating fans” policy, which means they can get into some sticky situations sometimes
But in general she’s just the fiercest drummer out there and the band wouldn’t be anywhere without her
In fact, Sylvie makes sure that there’s at least one song per gig where Foster just gets to shred it on the drums
And afterwards she’d be sweating and exhausted, but it’s so worth it because her face lights up with excitement and it’s priceless

I have put up the first of the three Demon bonus stories, if it is of interest? This one’s essentially an outsider POV. Justin did promise to go and see a certain band, before everything happened. The band might not be expecting rock legend Kris Starr and the infamous New York Demon to show up and say hi and possibly solve their romantic problems along the way...
Come read at AO3 here! Teaser below.
##
“Guys! In the audience! Tonight! Guess who!”
The other four members of the New Regency, sprawled out in the back room in various stages of post-show exhaustion and exhilaration, collectively searched for objects to throw at their pint-sized drummer. Lee managed to summon up enough energy to telekinetically fling a pillow. Everyone else groaned.
Zak took this as a challenge to half-pixie enthusiasm. “You’re not gonna believe it! Guess!”
“Do we have to?” Ian had found the beer, popped one open, and appeared to be trying to drown himself in it. Ryan had draped herself across the floor and the sofa, legs up on sofa-cushions, on her back. She looked as if she didn’t plan to move for a week; Lee had flopped into the rest of the sofa and was halfheartedly playing some strange sort of affectionate foot-kicking game with her. This was utterly platonic in the way of best friends; Rye had dated Zak for a while, and Lee didn’t seem to be interested in dating anybody, or at least wasn’t talking about it.
Adam, who’d settled onto the floor at Lee’s feet for lack of sofa-space, watched them all. His band. His family. Literally, in the case of Lee and Ian—the Patterson brothers were four years apart in age and ten times that in responsibility—but in so many other ways too.
He ended up smiling. He generally did. The quiet one in the corner, a recent review’d called him; he did not mind that. He didn’t have Zak’s energy or Rye’s tall skinny sunflower style or Lee’s stage presence, that mixture of calm acceptance and optimism that the rest of them all followed.
He was himself. The one who wrote their songs, everything Lee turned into powerful passionate vocals on stage, from the bubbly soda-pop fizz of first love in “Playground” to the comic-book fantasy of “Rescue,” in which he’d imagined his own personal superhero showing up at his door. From the quirky off-beat lines of “Nikola Tesla” to his own cracked heart in “Telling You,” about his parents and the reaction when he’d said I think I might be gay and then the grateful dive into safe harbor at Ian and Lee’s house upon telling them.
He was the one who got anxious doing interviews and stuttered over the words that flowed so easily when he had time to scribble them down. Who kept out of the way, as much as fluffy ginger hair and gawky elbows would allow. He played lead guitar because Lee wanted to focus on singing, and he knew he was good, and he took pleasure in being good: the right notes, the right timing, crisp clean professional perfection. He liked that: being good at what he did, serving the band, getting to watch and be caught up in everybody else’s delirious joy. He knew they valued him; they all went out of their way to say so, and he appreciated it.
He caught himself watching Lee a lot. That natural strength. That command on stage. Those shoulders, and rich dark skin, and dimples around that smile. Adam had been Ian’s friend first—they were the same age—and he’d always thought that schoolboy crush on his friend’s big brother would disappear someday, evanescent as a teenage afternoon.
So far, after growing up and graduating from high school, after three subsequent years in the band and a moderate level of success, it hadn’t.
“Yes! Guess!” Zak’s excitement, mixed with awe, bounced out to fill out the room. Kicked everybody in the heart despite tiredness. “Come on!”
“People,” Rye deadpanned from the floor, “people were in the audience,” but she was grinning. The audience had been fantastic. The energy had been fantastic. Chants and screams and bouncing along. Crowd-surfing and singing back of choruses. Roaring for Ian’s keyboard solo.
The New Regency had a decently dedicated following—still playing local venues, not signed with a label, but managing to do more than stay afloat—and their fans showed up dressed in the various suit colors Zak had decided they should wear to perform, mint and raspberry and lemony topaz and blueberry and cream and jet. Went with the name. The style. The fashionable ties and boots. Most of the suit-pieces had been discarded by most band members at this point, shed in sweat-soaked heaps around the room and previously on the Gilman’s stage.
The Gilman itself had a name and a reputation. Lots of great bands getting started on that stage. Lots of names. Arbor Dei. The Enchantresses. The Martians. And now them. They hoped, anyway.
“No!” Zak threw hands up in exasperation. “I mean yeah, sure, people, but seriously!”
“For this amount of build-up it’d better be Jimmy Aubrey himself,” Lee said, dry but amused; Adam watched his little half-smile, watched him being fond of Zak’s exuberance.
“Close!” Zak beamed elation at Lee, at them all. “Justin Moore!”
Ian dropped his beer. Foam erupted across stained carpet.
“No,” Rye said. “No way. The New York Demon? No.”
“Yes. Sam said so, and she’d know, they’re friends, and then other people—”
“What people,” Lee said, “exactly? And how drunk were they?”
 “I’m not making it up!”
“Zak,” Rye said kindly, propping herself up on elbows, “Justin Moore isn’t gonna magically turn up at one of our shows. We kick ass, but we’re not, like, famous.”

The Disney College Program
I have a distinct memory from when I was about 13 years old. My family was returning from a vacation in Florida and we saw a girl in line for security with a Disney College Program sweatshirt on. I was instantly intrigued. Disney has always been an important destination for my family. It was filled with memories and celebrations of birthdays and graduations and friendships. It was the stomping grounds for reunions with our friends from Australia and it was a symbol of novelty and excitement whenever I was able to bring my friends there for the first time and see their reactions to the magic. I wanted to ask this girl about her experience with the program, I really had no idea what it was, but being the shy kid I was I left all the talking to my mom. It was thrilling to me that a program existed that didn’t necessarily devalue the importance of an education, but it highlighted the importance of having fun in parallel to that.
Tumblr media
Flash forward and I really did my research. Little preteen me was watching vlogs and on the DCP website as soon as I got home. However, I knew that it would be such a long time before I had the opportunity. Quickly, life got in the way and in the blink of an eye I was in college.
I’ll be honest, the end of my sophomore year of college was not the best. I felt very alone (contrary to social media) and I felt like I was stuck in a vicious cycle of monotony in my life. The very idea of waking up and doing the same thing every day haunted me and I felt like a zombie prisoner. I remember having a conversation with my dad in the car and he brought up the DCP for the first time in years. However, contrary to my childhood whims, I immediately shut it down. I think the mindset I was in at the time put a very negative spin on life. Although I was bored with my current routine, I was afraid that the Disney College Program would ruin the magic of the one place where I knew I could get away from all of that so for that reason I said “absolutely not, I don’t want to do it...I’ve changed my mind.”
However, the VERY NEXT day, I couldn’t take it anymore and I applied on a whim. It was towards the end of the application window so in contrast to all the preparation videos I had seen, I really just went for it with no preparation. That mentality continued and I flew through the 3 interview stages. I treated my phone interview as a conversation with a friend rather than a life or death situation and my interviewer and I were laughing in no time. Honesty, it was pretty fun.
I remember sitting in the front row (yeah, what a loser) of my econ lecture when I got the email that I had been accepted and I immediately lost focus and just started crying while texting all my friends for the entirety of the rest of the lecture. I joined all of the facebook groups and made friends and was surprised to find that even though we all loved Disney, we weren’t crazy Disney freaks like I was expecting (although there were definitely some of those).
I met some fantastic girls online that I was planning on being roommates with (Alyssa, Joanna, and Tara ily) but you don’t necessarily always get placed with the people you request, so only Tara and I ended up in the same apartment. I was assigned to work at the Emporium. The busiest store in Disney on the way to the castle! There’s a really cute video of me finding out I was going to work there and I think I cried, it’s really cute. I quickly looked up what my costume would be and to be honest I miss that white button down and blue tie and plaid skirt, it really grew on me.
Finally the time came to move to Florida. Tara had been in Italy so while we were able to talk a little bit, it was still very much a new environment with new people (4 of which I didn’t even know until I got there). It was the first time where I ever really lived away from my family for that long. I had been abroad, but the longest I was away was 1 month and this was a 4 month program. I was there for the fall program too, meaning that all of the major holidays I would be away from my family and honestly it was sad and difficult at times.
I moved in during hurricane Dorian so Disney really looked like a freaky ghost town. However, I was quickly accompanied by a bunch of strangers :). I truly knew nothing about any of my roommates from the start besides their names: Carly, Rylee, Emma, Haley, and Tara and a few days later we were all moved in and forced to get along HAHA. To be honest though, these girls were the biggest gift I could have ever received from the program. If you go to Patterson Court 6102 right now you’ll even see where we signed our coffee table :) That’t the thing about this program, while the work is very useful in terms of learning how to deal with people, it’s really the relationships that you make (or in some people’s unfortunate cases the fights you have) that you’ll remember.
We had traditions which is where they introduce you to working for the company and it’s very disgustingly disney and mickey shows up and they make you cry with promotional videos. At the end of the “class” they take you through the utilidoors which are the underground tunnels (dare I say maze) that leads you through the Magic Kingdom. This was where I walked every day to work and where I often saw the princesses on their off time (and yes, it was odd).
Work was truly a whirlwind. We had training for a few weeks at the cash register and the Emporium was a clusterfuck because it’s a HUGE store with multiple jobs like stocking and collecting hangers and conversing with guests in addition to being at the cash register. Every day was a new adventure and at the start they really just threw us to the wolves. Not that we weren’t prepared, but I definitely would have loved to have been more prepared. However, in a place like Disney, you learn quickly. There were times on the floor where I felt like guest were pirhannas because you truly could not catch a break from questions (some of them really stupid like, “where is the castle” to which I responded, “it’s literally right down the street...”)
You experience all kinds of guests, both cranky and kind. I met an old couple that made vintage costumes every halloween as a different prince and princess, a man who designed the disney park maps, I gave a little girl an Elsa doll for her birthday and she screamed and cried and gave me hugs, you interact with foreign guests and do your best to fight the language barrier. If you’re learning a new language you’re able to practice speaking with guests. You end up having some of the most heartfelt stories. One component of the program is your location which quite literally makes or breaks your experience. It is all very random. You can end up working at any park or resort under a variety of different jobs. I was clearly merch, but you could also do food service or housekeeping or children’s activities or janitorial etc. Some of the staff was great, and sometimes they’re just not. It really is all the luck of the draw.
I personally loved merch, I absolutely had some hard days where I just wanted to go home and cry (and I did), but the cool thing about merch is that it’s universal training so I was able to work in any different merch location in any park. At the end of my program I had worked in Tomorrowland (love you Maddie), the Pirates of the Carribbean store in Adventureland (love you Corbin), I worked a halloween party (love you Wyatt) and in Fantasyland (love you Toni). Each place was uniquely different and I have stories from each.
For example, while the Emporium was my home, I easily fell in love with Fantasyland. It was an absolute dream dressing up little girls in princess dresses and seeing their parents cry when they looked in the mirror. It was so fun giving old men pixie dust and watching them frolic all over the store. In adventureland one of the cast members taught me how to swordfight (like literally sword fight...he studies it) and I was given a plastic pet snake (which I was surprisingly able to convince a GOOD amount of people that it was real). during the halloween party I made some of my very best friends while handing out candy and seeing all of the unique costumes was so much fun. Tomorrowland was an adventure because I was able to be outside and walk around while all of the lights were on after the park had closed.
It was tiring work. No one is meant to be as happy as I was required to be all of the time. And yet, I wouldn’t change the experience for the world. The program was a new view into a place that I’ve loved so much and the magic takes a new perspective now, but it is still very much there.
To my roommates, I love you so much. Thanks for STILL being in my life and being my favorite jedi, funnel cake maker, candy apple dipper, hotel waitress, and pizza oven survivor I’ve ever met.
The program really changed the way I see myself. It made me a lot more confident in my interpersonal communications with people and ability to handle conflict. It showed me the beauty of the holidays and how much I appreciate being with my family at that time (I worked the Christmas parties and they would let us go stand outside in the “snow”).
I learned a lot. So to close, let me share some things I learned
1.) If you do the program you will LOSE at grocery bingo...don’t go
2.) In everything that you enjoy, there is someone providing it so please PLEASE be respectful and stay humble. There was nothing worse than dealing with an entitled family.
3.) Everyone has a story to tell. I talked to people from all over the world at my register: army vets and newlyweds and artists. If you just take the time to listen, you’ll hear some incredible things
4.) Life comes at you so fast. It’s crazy that I can remember seeing that girl with the sweatshirt when I was 13 and then BOOM my college program was over. Slow things down sometimes
5.) Explore in your free time! My favorite memories were just going to the parks or hotels with my friends and roommates on our off days and having fun. You don’t need to be productive all the time to live a valuable life.
6.) Don’t grow up..honestly don’t. I’m 21 and my roommates were also around my age and we STILL hung out with Peter Pan during the MK scavenger hunt..honestly who cares
7.) Appreciate your family while they’re around. I know I missed my family so much throughout those four months so when you’re with them, don’t take them for-granted
8.) But also...make a new family. Every group of friends of mine that have come into my life for different reasons are added to my family. I treat them with the same respect and pour the same amount of love into them that I do with my own family and that’s the way it should be done
9.) Don’t wait! If you want to do something fun in your life and the means and resources are available and it’s safe then DO IT. We really don’t have as much time as we think so don’t put things off, especially things that are going to make you happy and be good for your mental health.
10.) Celebrate change and novelty. I was scared to start the program with people I barely knew in a job I wasn’t necessarily the best at. However, what an experience that has morphed me into so much of a stronger person. My life has changed so much even since the program ended seven months ago and now I welcome that kind of change as openly as possible.
Thanks to the DCP for all the memories and magic <3
(if you have any questions about the program let me know!)

all that glitters is gold (jane/kurt + eden weller fanfic)
summary: halloween at the FBI
series: what i never knew i always wanted
A/N: @captain-ogrodniczka-love sent me a request for a “take your daughter to work” fic with Kurt & Eden a while back and it made me so happy because any and all Eden prompts are my very fave. Sorry it took a little while but hope you like it!
all that glitters is gold
 “Daddy!”
Kurt looked up from is desk as the door to his office opened and he saw his daughter racing through, running towards him. Kurt let out a shocked gasp and scrunched up his face in mock confusion.
“Who is this pretty fairy? She looks so much like my daughter, Eden!” he exclaimed, standing up and opening is arms as Eden ran into them. He hoisted her up into his arms as he stood up and looked over to the door, where Jane was following, carrying baby Charlie in his car seat.
Eden giggled as she wrapped her arms around Kurt’s neck and he gently tickled her stomach.
“It’s me, daddy! I’m Tinker Bell, remember?” she asked, glancing down at her costume.
“Ohhhhhh,” Kurt said with a nod, smiling as Eden drew a circle in the air with her wand before gently tapping him on the shoulder. “That’s right, Tinker Bell! And look at all this pixie dust!” he exclaimed, glancing down at his suit, which was now covered in gold glitter from Eden’s costume.
Jane chuckled as she set Charlie’s car seat down on Kurt’s desk, reaching in to unbuckle him and lift him out.
“Yeah, sorry about that,” she said with a laugh, settling Charlie against her chest as she gently rocked him back and forth. “It’s everywhere.”
Kurt laughed and shook his head, leaning in to press a kiss to his daughter’s cheek.
“We could use a little pixie dust here at the FBI,” he said and Eden giggled, wiggling in his arms until he set her down. She spun in a circle, holding her wand above her head and Kurt shook his head as he watched the gold glitter fly in the air around her.
“Daddy, when does the party start?” she asked, running over towards the door and looking hopefully out into the bullpen.
It was the NYO’s annual Halloween party and it was their third year attending with Eden, but the first where she was really excited about it, as she was now old enough to understand. She had decided on her Tinker Bell costume weeks earlier and had quickly determined that her baby brother Charlie needed to be Peter Pan.
“Soon!” he said, reaching out to take Charlie from Jane and chuckling at his little Peter Pan costume. “Nice job, honey,” he murmured, leaning over to press a quick kiss to her lips. “But you know, what?” he asked Eden, walking towards the door where the stood waiting. “I think Aunt Patty has a special treat for you in her lab, should we go see her before the party?”
Eden was the only person in the world that Patterson allowed to call her “Patty.”
Eden jumped up and clapped in excitement, more glitter flying everywhere as she did and Kurt laughed, reaching down to take her hand.
“Wait, you need to put on your costume, daddy! And you too, mommy!” Eden said, giving Kurt’s hand a tug back towards his desk. “We can’t go to the party without your costumes!”
Kurt glanced back at Jane, his eyes wide as she bit her lip and glanced down at the bag she had carried in and set down on the chair across from Kurt’s desk. She had hoped that Eden would forget about it once they got to the office but she should have known better. Her daughter never forgot about anything.
They hadn’t dressed up for the party in previous years, instead focusing their costume efforts on their daughter. But this year, Eden had insisted that all of them dress up for Halloween. After deciding that she would be Tinker Bell and Charlie would be Peter Pan, she had told Jane that she should be Captain Hook. Kurt had been giving Eden her bath one night when she told him what his costume should be.
“Nana!” she had exclaimed, bouncing one of her doggie bath toys along the top of the water. He had watched the movie with his daughter enough times to know exactly who Nana was.
Nana was the Darlings’ family dog.
Kurt had spent weeks trying to convince Eden that he should dress up as another character – any other character – from Peter Pan. But she was insistent. Daddy had to be Nana.
So, Jane had gone out and rented an adult-size dog costume for him. Kurt had tried it on a couple of nights earlier, Jane collapsing onto their bed in a fit of giggles as he had emerged from their closet.
“Oh my god,” she gasped, holding on to her stomach as she laughed hysterically. “It’s perfect,” she exclaimed, covering her face with a pillow so she wouldn’t wake up the kids.
“All right, knock it off,” Kurt muttered with a grin, walking over to the mirror in the corner and letting out a groan as he saw himself. “I look ridiculous.”
“You look adorable,” Jane insisted, crawling up on her knees and reaching her arms out as he walked over to the foot of the bed. She hooked her arms over his shoulders, giggling as she felt the fur of the costume against her skin. “So soft,” she said with a giggle as he scowled at her before leaning in to kiss her.
“Should I be reading into anything that our daughter thinks I’m most suited to be dressed up as a cartoon dog?” he said, turning around so Jane could unzip the costume. Jane chuckled and shook her head, sitting back as she watched him change out of it.
“Not anymore than I should about her wanting me to be the bad guy,” she said with a grin. “She’s going to freak out when she sees you in that,” Jane said as she crawled under the covers and pulled them back for him to join her.
Kurt chuckled and nodded as he turned off the light and curled up beside her, pulling her into his side.
“Then it’s worth it,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to her cheek as they dozed off.
Kurt had resigned himself to wearing the dog costume when he took Eden trick-or-treating later that night – he could live with strangers seeing him in it. But he hadn’t planned to wear it for the office party, where he would be surrounded by the people who worked with and for him every day.
“Baby, mommy and daddy are going to wear our costumes for trick or treating later, the grown ups aren’t dressing up for the party,” Jane started to say, and right on cue, Kurt’s office door swung open and Patterson walked in, dressed as Carl from Up!, complete with a bouquet of multi-colored balloons.
“Tink!” Patterson exclaimed when she saw Eden standing there. “I’m so glad you’re here!” she said and Eden ran over to give her a hug.
“Mommy, Aunt Patty is dressed up, so you and daddy can dress up too!” she exclaimed as she took Patterson’s hand and looked back at her parents hopefully.
Jane and Kurt looked between them and then back at Eden and Patterson, knowing they were out of excuses.
“I guess we can,” Kurt said, shaking his head with a small smile as Patterson mouthed “sorry” to him. “Why don’t you go with Aunt Patty to her lab for your surprise and mommy and I will get into our costumes and meet you there?” he suggested and Eden nodded excitedly, tugging Patterson’s hand as she skipped towards the door.
“OK daddy!” Eden exclaimed as she waited for Patterson to open the door for her and they made their way to her lab. Jane and Kurt looked back at each other and laughed as Kurt set Charlie back down in his car seat and Jane handed him his costume.
She took a step towards him and wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing a kiss to his jaw as she gazed up at him.
“You are a really good dad,” she murmured, smiling as he leaned down to kiss her. “The very best dad.” He chuckled and pressed a kiss to her forehead as he stepped back and shrugged off his jacket.
They quickly changed into their costumes, Jane stifling her giggles as she looked Kurt up and down. He shook his head and reached over to pick up Charlie, handing him to Jane with a smile as she held him against her with her non-hook arm.
“Let’s go get our Tinkerbell,” he said, extending his hand to her and laughing as he looped his fingers around the plastic hook she held on her hand. They walked to Patterson’s lab, following the trail of gold glitter their daughter had left behind, and found Eden sitting on Patterson’s desk, holding an enormous multi-colored lollipop in her hands as Patterson held her wand.
Her eyes lit up as her parents walked through the door.
“Nana! And Hook!” she exclaimed with a squeal, setting down her lollipop and reaching for Patterson to help her off. She ran towards her parents as soon as Patterson had set her feet on the ground and Kurt reached down to pick her up. She immediately snuggled into his chest, petting the soft fur of his costume.
“Daddy, you look just like Nana!” she exclaimed, reaching out and touching his cheeks with her hands. He laughed and leaned in, nuzzling his nose against hers and she laughed, squirming in his arms. She leaned over and lifted Jane’s arm, inspecting her hook with a smile.
“Mommy, you look so cooooooool,” she said, holding her tiny fist around the plastic hook. “Aunt Patty, look!” she exclaimed, turning towards Patterson who nodded with a smile.
“You guys look awesome!” she said, reaching out to hand Eden’s wand back to her. “Let me get some pictures of you guys.”
The four of them posed for pictures together, and Jane took a few of Patterson with the kids, before all five of them made their way out into the bullpen for the party. A few other adults had dressed up, though none in quite as furry a costume as Kurt’s. He enjoyed some good-natured ribbing from his colleagues and was a good sport as Eden constantly brought other kids over to show off her “Nanadaddy” and feel how soft his fur was.
After a couple of hours, they headed back to their apartment, where Jane stayed with a sleeping Charlie and handed out candy to trick-or-treaters, while Kurt took Eden trick-or-treating through their building and a couple of neighboring ones. He arrived back home with a sleeping Eden on his shoulder, holding his daughter in one arm, and her wand and candy bucket in the other.
Jane smiled up at him from her spot on the couch, reaching out to take the wand and candy from him as he carried Eden to her room. He quickly changed her out of her costume and into a set of pajamas, and she stirred awake as he pulled her pajama top over her head.
“Daddy, you’re still Nana,” she mumbled sleepily as she saw he was still in his dog costume. He chuckled and nodded, leaning over and nuzzling his nose against her cheek. She let out a sleepy giggle as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “I love you Nanadaddy,” she whispered and he wrapped his arms around her little body, holding her close for a moment.
“Love you my baby girl,” he whispered, pressing a kiss to her cheek before he sat up and pulled her covers back for her to crawl in.
“Remember, I’m Tink,” she mumbled as she snuggled into pillow and he pulled her covers up over her shoulders. Kurt smiled and nodded, brushing her hair off her face as he watched her doze off. She was absolutely covered in gold glitter from her costume, and Kurt had a feeling they would be cleaning it up for months.
“Love you my little Tink,” he said, leaning down to press another kiss to her temple. “Love you so much.”

Tyler placed his camera into his bag alongside his notebook before slinging it over his shoulder.
“Hey, guys!” He called through the house from the front door. “I’m heading to Mandy’s care home! Anyone want to come?”
He’d expected Matty to come along, and maybe Eliza if she wasn’t busy. What she hadn’t expected was for all of them to decide to join him. (Besides Heather, who at the time was getting ready to go to work.)
They all walked as a group along the streets. Quinn held tight to Eliza’s hand, Damian and Ant arguing about something stupid, Matty skipping and talking about a new song he was working on. Tyler smiled. He loved taking trips out with the others.
The care home was a new building. Mandy had had help from Lauren when raising money for it (Which might’ve been helped by the fact Lauren was constantly followed around by a very large dragon). It stood tall and welcoming, the orange bricks painted over with white paint. The windows were clean, and Tyler could see the flower-patterned curtains inside and a little cactus on one of the window ledges.
He knocked on the door and a small, round woman with fiery red hair answered. Her eyes lit up when she saw the group and she smiled wide. Her face radiated the same warmth and kindness as the building itself did.
“Oh! You’re all here! That’s lovely,” She opened the door and gestured for them all to enter. The inside of the house smelled of brownies. “Gracie… Had to stay home today,” She said sadly, frowning slightly. “But Molly said she might stop by later to help! Until then, feel free to introduce yourself to any of the children.”
“Uncle Ty!”
Tyler barely had chance to look towards the source of the yelling before a blur of pastel colours threw itself at him. He stumbled slightly as he looked down, seeing a small, blonde girl beaming up at him.
“Pixie!” He laughed, picking her up and spinning her around. She giggled, kicking her legs.
He placed her back onto the floor and dragged him into the main room. There was a table in the corner with chairs set up around it. The surface was covered in paper, pencils and crayons. A box of blocks lay scattered on the floor near the window, two small children talking quietly to themselves and building little houses. Pixie pulled Tyler towards the table and made him sit town before climbing up into his lap.
“Look what I drew!”
On the paper in front of her was a drawing of herself, her brother Mikey, a kid covered in band-aids that Tyler could only guess was Jessie, a kid holding a book that was definitely Will, and then Lauren. Tyler smiled. “That’s wonderful, Pix! Where are the other little monsters, anyway?” He asked.
Pixie kicked her legs and picked up another pencil and a new piece of paper, beginning to scribble more people. “Think Mikey an’ Jess are playing football in the yard,” She shrugged. “Mandy said Lauren’s got college an’ she’ll visit us when her lesson is done. Think she’s doin’ English.”
“What about Will?”
Pixie paused. “He’s havin’ a bad day. Mandy said he hasn’t been talkin’ to anyone today, not even her.”
Tyler frowned and nodded. Given Will’s past, moments like this were expected. Tyler turned around to the others, seeing them all looking around. It was their first time really visiting.
“Hey, Quinn?” He said.
The angel looked up, lip red from biting it. “Mm?”
“You remember Will, right? D’you think you can go sit with him for a bit, make sure he’s ok?”
Quinn nodded and turned to leave the room. Mandy walked with her, leading her up the stairs.
The others all looked around, deciding they should probably communicate with some of the kids too. Matty walked out towards the back door, following the sounds of giggles and small voices. He found Jessie and Mikey outside – Jessie up in the treehouse and Mikey on the floor as they threw the football to each other. Matty grinned.
“Hey guys!”
The two turned to look at him and instantly lit up. Mikey grabbed hold of Matty and tugged him towards the treehouse. “Wanna play?” He asked, handing the ball to Matty.
“Hot potato?”
Mikey nodded. “Yeah! But Jess wanted to be higher up, so they’re in the treehouse.
Matty laughed. “Of course, I’ll play.”
——————-
Back inside, Eliza had followed the smell of brownies to the kitchen. A young teen, possibly around the age of 13 if Eliza had to guess, was sat at the kitchen table with a worksheet and a frustrated look on their face.
“Hey, dear,” Eliza said softly, sitting down on the seat next to them. “Do you need help?”
The teen shook their head. “No. I gotta do it by myself or it’s not the same.”
“Oh,” Eliza said. “You know, you’re allowed to ask for help if you’re struggling, dear. It doesn’t make your work any less good. If it helps, I can give you questions like what you’re answering, but with different numbers, and I can show you how that works, and you can apply that to your work. Does that help?”
The teen finally looked up at Eliza and nodded slowly. “Y-Yeah, ok. That works.”
Eliza smiled and picked up a spare piece of paper and a pen from the stack in the corner. She wrote down some questions and handed them to the teen. “Oh, and I’m Eliza,” She said.
“…Nadine.”
——————-
Vikki had taken to the two boys sat on the floor building houses. She sat next to them, slightly floating off the floor. One smiled at her, the other nodded in her direction but kept his eyes on the blocks.
“I’m Gus,” Introduced the blonde boy, lisping slightly due to the missing front tooth. “That’s my brother, Daxter. He doesn’t talk very much but it’s ok because Mandy says I talk enough for both of us.”
Vikki laughed. “Well it’s nice to meet you both. Mind if I build?”
“Sure!” Gus grinned, pushing some blocks towards her. “Why are you floating?”
“I’m a ghost.”
Gus shrugged. “That’s cool. Oh! Here’s this little man, you can stick him on your house when you’re done. I called him Mr Orange because he likes to wear an orange hat.”
“I love that.”
The three build together, Gus occasionally piping up with a silly joke or to ask for a block or ask Daxter for help. Vikki eventually handed Gus her little house with a man on it. “Does this look right to you? I don’t build very often.”
Gus smiled wide and sat up straighter, clapping his hands. “Good! Look, Dax, isn’t that cool?”
Daxter looked up at the house and smiled, nodding.
Gus handed it back to Vikki. “If Dax likes it, that means it’s super good.”
——————-
Quinn hadn’t spoken since she’d entered Will’s room. Instead, she’d curled up on the chair next to his bed, sitting quietly as he slowly rocked himself. If anyone of the group knew how to handle Will, it was her. Forcing him to talk wouldn’t work – She had to wait for him to make the first move.
“Can I see your wings?”
His voice came out soft, cracking slightly. She nodded and stood up, moving to sit next to him on the bed. She closed her eyes and felt her wings appear, shaking and stretching out. It’d been a while since she’d let them out. They were a soft lavender colour, the lower feathers burned and stained with ash from her fall. Will leaned against Quinn’s side, smiling slightly when Quinn wrapped her wings around the two of them.
They sat in silence for a while longer. Will’s eyes closed.
“I was thinking about… Them… again,” Will whispered.
Quinn didn’t need to respond with words. She just wrapped her wings closer around them, a hand taking one of Will’s. Will sniffled and curled up a little tighter against the angel’s side.
“I just wish I could forget it. All of it. Sometimes I can pretend it didn’t happen, but sometimes I can’t.”
Quinn lightly squeezed his hand. “I know, Will. And it’s going to hurt for a while. Maybe for a very long while. But… But there are ways to deal with it if you want that. I can find you some people that you can talk to, and maybe they can help you feel better.”
Will nodded and rubbed his eyes with his free hand. “P-Please.”
Quinn kissed the top of Will’s head. “You’ll be ok. I promise.”
——————-
Ant and Damian walked around together. Some of the other kids were out at classes, but they eventually ran into two kids upstairs in a bedroom, dressed up in costumes. One of them was a little redhead covered in freckles, a gap between his two front teeth and a wide grin on his face as he raised a fake cardboard sword. The other was dressed like a dinosaur, messy blonde hair covering his eyes. His hands were held out in front of him like claws.
“Hey there, boys,” Damian greeted as he walked into the room, Ant following.
Both boys turned, their eyes widening. “Woah!! Your eyes are red!!”
Damian and Ant shared a look and grinned.
“Yep, they are,” Ant nodded.
“Pointy teeth!” The blonde said, looking at Ant.
“Pointy ears!” The redhead yelled, looking at Damian.
“My name’s Damian,” Dami said, smiling and kneeling closer to their height. “I’m a demon.”
“And I’m Ant,” Ant waved. “I’m a vampire.”
Both young boys jumped around, excited.
“I’m Bryan,” The redhead introduced himself, bowing and laughing.
“I’m Danny!” The blonde joined in, striking a pose.
And laughed. “I guess you two enjoy acting? Mind if we join in? Damian would make a great damsel in distress,” He joked, winking towards Damian. Damian stuck his tongue out.
Bryan lit up and ran to a chest at the base of one of the beds, pulling out some accessories. “Of course, you can join in!!”
The four of them acted out scenes, each taking a turn at the different roles until Tyler called them down to leave.

Tyler hugged Mandy at the door. She smiled, holding out a tin to him. “There’s some treats in there for you all as a thank you for stopping by today.”
Tyler took the tin and smiled back. “We’ll try to come by again soon.”
“Please do,” Mandy said. She looked into the main room where all the kids were now settled in front of the TV with blankets watching a movie. “I can tell they really enjoyed seeing you all. They’d love to have you back.”
“Then we’ll definitely be back,” Eliza promised. The rest of them nodded in agreement.
“Have a good night, Mandy,” Tyler said as the group walked away.
“You too, dear.”

11 Tag
@bookcub and @e1odin tagged me, so I took questions from both lists
1. Did you have a book phase you are ashamed of?
Yes. I spent a year really into YA paranormal romance, the kind with dark brooding boyfriends and some mysterious force keeping the two apart.
2. How many books do you have marked as read on goodreads?
Only 56
3. Worst book you ever read?
Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies by Lindsay Ribar. The main character was a jerk, everyone was a flat character, and there was a manic-pixie dream girl. He never recognized his faults, and every time it seemed like he might do something milly redeeming or good for someone else, it ended up being a self-serving dick move.
4. What are you currently reading?
The Thousand Names by Django Wexler, Learning to Swear in America by  Katie Kennedy, and Good Omens.
5. What character do you look the most like?
The child of Hermione and Luna
6. Do you listen to music while reading? If yes, what kind?
I don’t listen to music while reading. I can’t focus on that many things at once.
7. Any book / series conclusions that disappointed you?
The Fault in Our Stars. Everyone who recommended it to me said it was one of the best books they’d ever read, but I found it kind of underwhelming.
8. Favourite classic? (if you don’t like classics, then least favourite?)
East of Eden
9. If you could meet any authour, which would you want to meet?
Maggie Stiefvater, or Pat Rothfuss
10. Favourite fictional couple? (canon or not)
Blue and Gansey from the Raven Cycle
11. Who is an author you avidly avoid?
James Patterson. I attribute this to working/volunteering at a library for the past 5 years. Shelving his books is THE WORST, so no I have no interest in ever reading one of his books.
My questions:
1. What is your favorite genre?
2. Opinion on audiobooks?
3. How often do you reread books?
4. Do you read nonfiction?
5. Favorite (or least bad) book you ever had to read for school?
6. Bookstore or library?
7. Do you read multiple books at a time?
8. How many books on your goodreads to-read shelf?
9. Favorite quote?
10. Are you scared to lend your books to other people?
11. Have you ever met an author? if so, who?
I tag @waves314 , @kingkilling-and-stormlight , @caughtwithinpages , and @the-name-of-stone . It’s 100% optional
