Hey! The personal art train has been incredibly slow lately due to me being absolutely swamped by commission work this past month (thank you so much everyone!), but I’ve been chipping away at some design tweaks for Austri here and finally finished them today :D I told myself that I wasn’t going to do a full sheet, and then promptly changed my mind once it started going well xD I swear these sheets only get longer, haha!

I think the first version of her design was perfectly serviceable as it was so I didn’t change a ton here, but I felt I could give her better overall shapes and commit more fully to the jellyfish inspiration, particularly with her hat. Her first ref sheet was from 2019, so she was due for an update anyway. She’s somehow even more adorable than before :’D Enjoy! ---------- The constellation symbol for Piscis Austinus was originally designed by Denis Moskowitz and released to the public domain.

Winter doodles!

It's been pretty cold lately, so I doodled my OCs Blueberry (kitty, he/they) and Piscie (puffball, they/he) all bundled up~ Blueberry is much better at handling the cold than Piscie is LOL!

Bonus silly rambles:

Blueberry is from Another Dimension (my AU has a Halcandran-like civilization in a very peaceful part of the Locandra Dimension, hoping to expand on that more when my brain fog gets a little better!) where elemental magic is really common, so I bet he has no trouble heating himself up lol

Piscie is from a very tropical part of Popstar (Onion Ocean), so they are not at all prepared in comparison LOL! the thought of puffballs sneezing actual tiny stars is funny to me

They are very good friends! Piscie is very much a realist to Blueberry's optimist, but they balance each other out quite well and Blu is quite good at cheering (and in this case, warming) Piscie up~

A Master Detective with an expertise in visual trickery, specializing in stalking cases. Their Forte is Will-O-The-Wisp, a power honed to create a perfect holographic replica of themself that can be commanded through thought. However, the hologram cannot touch anything, and any directly applied pressure can destroy it. He’s surprisingly easy-going, preferring to roll with the punches and come up with plans on the fly rather than prepare in advance. His thrill-seeking lifestyle often places him on his lonesome, so they tend to find company in their own holograms. Anyone unlucky enough to be in his vicinity are likely to be roped into his spontaneous plans, as they’re always searching for a helping hand and potential friend. They’re also quite the workaholic, but the reason as to why is yet to be disclosed.

An Amaterasu hitman highly trained with poisons and close-quarters combat. Specially selected from a group of freelance hitmen alongside Hitman Zilch/Aide, they adapted quickly to Amaterasu’s hostile environment. They valued their camaraderie with Aide as much as the money they were paid for their services. Unfortunately, as Aide became more infatuated with Director Yomi, Lieu was forced to settle for a strained fellowship. They allowed themself to reminisce on the good old days to fuel their work ethic, in hopes they could rekindle the alliance they once had by jumping at any chance to show off. After Aide’s death, however, Lieu succumbs to their nurtured pride and is dead set on filling in the hole that his passing left in the peacekeeper division.

Tbh that spot GS Technician shows Team Snakemouth looks like it would make a good picnic spot. If you ignore all the lesser bugs on the path, that is. Also, they're holding the foods they mention liking when you inspect Fry!

16. Original Character

At this rate, this is just gonna be me infodumping about my OCs buuut. Here's Team Thornbush! They were intended to be Team Snakemouth but Fucked Up And Evil, but I couldn't think of an evil version of Leif so they're just a much worse Team Mothiva. Lobeelia, the leader, is Vi's worst traits dialed up to 11 - she's a proud thief who uses her stolen crossbow to threaten those around her into submission and treats her companions like mere obstacles. Jacques is a beetle from the North who had it beat into his head as a grub that he was only useful if he was helping someone else, so he's extremely selfless to the point of self-destructive tendencies and would gladly give his own life for Lobeelia's. Like Cenn and Pisci, they aren't real explorers and just do whatever gets them berries.

20. Wasp

Yet another OC, this is Rusty the Ampulex ferruginea, who - like Hoaxe - was orphaned at a young age. Instead of being adopted by (other) wasps, however, they were mistaken as an ant and adopted by an ant couple. Even after their parents discovered they were actually a wasp, they still treated them like their own flesh and blood. They're currently a guard working at the Rubber Prison, in charge of handling the more rowdy inmates. Being a solitary wasp like Zasp, they weren't affected by Hoaxe's mind control and fought back.

Redraw of one of my favorite scenes from Chapter 4 with my Team Snakemouth humanizations! The reason Leif's hair covers their eyes is since their eyes are technically hollowed out in bug form, in human their eyes are permanently rolled into the back of their head. Fun stuff /s
