So I got drunk last night and of course I texted ex again. He hasn’t talked to me in a long ass time– this time sya yung nag stop makipag usap. Last night I said “hey can I ask you a question.” He responded hours later saying “hi, yes you can.” Nakita ko na yung response nya the day after, so syempre this time sober na ko and medyo natatauhan na. “Gaga ka talaga!” Sabi ko sa sarili ko. Shit! Naiinis ako sa sarili ko kasi lagi na lang nangyayari ‘to. Then napaisip ako, ano nga ba yung gusto kong itanong?

Gusto kong itanong bakit biglaan na lang nawala? Biglang hindi nagparamdam? Mahirap pala pag ikaw na yung hindi kinakausap, yung tipong ikaw yung inii-snob. Ewan ko nga if I’m getting affected because I still love him or dahil sa pride… but all I know us that it hurts. I still think about him everyday. All the time, actually. I have not stopped thinking about him since the day na naging kami hanggang sa natuloy na sa hiwalayan. Damn, looking back I didnt know it was gonna hit me this hard. This hard… to the point na I made such drastic decisions to be with him, talk to him, and sometimes to make him even notice me! Desperada much?!

Likewise, i made drastic decisions just to be able to forget about him. Actually ang dami ko ngang sinubukan eh.. yung tipong makikipag date ka na lang sa iba tapos sa huli marerealize mo ginagamit mo lang pala sila to forget your ex and para sa libreng pagkain? Relate? Yung tipong kung ano anong hobby sinusimulan mo just to get your mind off of him.. self love divah?

Sometimes I think na maybe I’m just bound to feel this way. There were times when I thought I would be over him. Pero wala eh. He keeps slipping through my mind… in everything that I do. Even now he’s all that I think about. Love pa ba toh? Obsession? Creepy nga eh. All I know id I’ve never felt anything like this at all. Even now, wala pang nakakatalo sa pinaramdan nya sa'kin. But what’s worse? It’s not only love that he made me feel, he made me feel pain like I’ve never felt before. Made me feel all these weird and crazy emotions that I didn’t know existed within me. But all I want is to move on. Shit, everyone’s moved on! Except for me?

But sometimes I can’t help but think ba baka may nararamdaman pa sya sa'kin. Hay false hope! Ewan ko! When I started this letter medyo malungkot ako.. ngayon natatawa na lang ako. Paano ba naman I’m writing this while my candles are lit habang tumutogtog ang “pakisabi na lang” by bes Aiza Seguerra. Parang music video noh? Pero hayy.. all I want is to be happy for you.

The day before we stopped talking, we had a lot of plans. And I feel bad because I didn’t feel guilt about you having a gf–the same girl who flirted with you nung tayo pa. Then boom. Out of nowhere you stopped talking to me. Now all I wanted to ask is why? Why did you stop talking to me? Siguro gusto mo na talaga magseryoso? After all, you guys have been together for years now. Tayo matagal nang tapos. There’s a part of me that’s somehow proud of you for making this decision. Very mature of you. But there’s also a part of me na sobrang nasasaktan. I mean, A & J? Di'ba we’re the power couple? I guess not meant to be talaga. Kainis. Bilis mo kasi naka move on. Ahh I hate that I feel like this. I don’t like anyone being in control of me emotionally but you control a lot of things about me and you’re not even aware of it.

But i have no choice. I have to respect your decision. Kelangan kong respetuhin ang desisyon mong maging masaya kasi alam kong alam mo na hindi mangyayari yan sa atin. And alam ko na sya na ang mahal mo. Kelangan ko din respetuhin ang babaeeng nanindigan sa taong mahal ko. I have to give her that. Hands down. She deserves na maging faithful ka sa kanya. Kahit na nasaktan nyo kong dalawa dati, that’s all in the past now.

I guess I accept na baka hindi na kita makalimutan. Pero I know it’s possible for me to move on and still be happy for you and not feel any bitterness. I love you… for now, at least. Makakamove on din ako. Tiwala lang. pero ngayon I have to let go of my feelings for you.. magpakatotoo at tanggapin na nakamove on ka na at you’re trying your best na bumuti ang buhay mo.
