Where did Bradley and Sweet Girl go for their honeymoon? I can stop thinking about them 🩵
They spend 3 weeks in Italy! They start in the North with Verona and Venice before working their way South, making stops in Florence and Rome, before ending in the Amalfi Coast.
They’re drinking good coffee and wine and eating pasta! There are lots of late nights and lazy mornings in bed. The morning light really is different in Italy.
Bradley is a bit of a history buff, so he is dropping tidbits as they explore Venice. (And while he’s happy for the couple they see get engaged under the Bridge of Sighs he’s also side eyeing it because that history is terribly unromantic). On their third night there, they both get tipsy off a couple bottles of Bardolino wine, and she flashes him on the Ponte delle Tette and later they get wolf whistled at because that secluded corner he’s crowded her into to make out afterwards isn’t that secluded. (Amóre!) 🥰
In Florence, they’re holding hands as they check out the Uffizi, picnicking along the river, and getting gelato at least twice a day. They buy Mav a leather jacket at the leather market as a thank you for watching Duck while they’re away. She surprises him with a cooking class. They really pack in all the exploring and cultural experiences in the first two weeks.
And the last week at the Amalfi Coast is spent at the seaside swimming and relaxing. Bradley gets to read a book cover to cover for the first time in what feels like years. And on one of their last full days there they hire a boat for the day, and take in the views with an aperol spritz (or two or three).
Bradley’s curls get all sunkissed in the golden glow of the Italian sunshine and he gets freckles on his shoulder. Even though she has the brush on powder sunscreen stick in her purse, his nose still gets sunburned and stays pink for most of the trip.
He loves seeing her sundress collection, and she thrives with him wearing those 5 inch inseam shorts. But she really does him in when they go to one of the beach clubs and he sees her high cut bikini bottoms with her butterfly tattoo on full display. (She absolutely knew what she was doing with that one, especially since now there’s a recently tattooed BB tucked next to them 🤗)

likening big bash clubs to AFL clubs goes like this:
Stars - St Kilda
Renebabes - Geelong
Scorchies - Norf
Heat - Brisbane lions
Hurricanes - ooh this is tricky... Collingwood, maybe?
Strikers - i think Adelaide Crows but it could be Port (i can't get a read on Travis Head)
Sydney Sixers - probably the Sydney Swans
Sydney Thunder - probably the GWS giants

Damencio’s Best of 2020

New Music Friday
Hello everyone and welcome to another New Music Review! This week, there won't be any individual posts since there are no worthy releases by main artists. This post will include new songs released through the past week. Let's go!
'Pull Me Closer' by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
House pop at its finest. I love this genre a lot. I must say I'm surprised that Dimitri and Like Mike didn't add their spin to it though. I would've thought it's a R3HAB song honestly. It's a very nice track regardless. Great addition to a playlist for the upcoming summer.
youtube
'Palm Reader' by DREAMERS, Big Boi & UPSAHL
A great pop rock song! UPSAHL hasn't disappointed me a single time yet! A very fun song. The chorus is very catchy! If I had to compare it to another song, I'd say it has a similar sound to Funhouse by Pink. I love this one.
youtube
'Leave The Door Open' by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak & Silk Sonic
A typical soulful Bruno Mars song. I love Bruno's sultry songs, they never fail to impress me. His vocal delivery is amazing. The collaborators are a great addition to the song. They vocally compliment eachother perfectly. The bridge is stunning. It's like a climax of passion, lust and love. What a perfect song.
youtube
'Spinning' by No Rome, Charli XCX & The 1975
As I said in a previous post, everything Charli touches is pop gold. Great spin on the 80s sound craze. Upbeat with a very subtle soft rock flair. Very reminiscent of Electricity by Dua Lipa & Silk City. I love this one a lot!
youtube
'Better Without You' by Evanescence
Rock Evanescence is finally back! Rock royalty and rightfully so. Amy's vocals are, to no suprise, stunning. The production is nice. The guitar rifs are great. I've missed this Evanescence! Welcome back!
youtube
'Sacrifice' by Bebe Rexha
Let me start by saying that Bebe is a pop staple whether you like it or not. The girl has written some of the best pop songs and she sang on a few as well. This song falls no short. A great upbeat song about wanting someone you love to forget everyone for you. Bebe's soft delivery is beautiful and the production is great. The pre-chorus buildup is great. This should be her break out track. It's radio friendly and a great representation of her pop roots in a very easy-to-digest format. The video is beautiful. She looks amazing. It's like the video of Animals by Maroon 5 mixed with the video of Electricity by Silk City & Dua Lipa. The gore in it is nice. Great release for Bebe.
youtube
Honorable Mentions
'Falling Up' by Dean Lewis: stunning ballad about a bad state of mind. 'Na Nai Sunna' by Sachin-Jigar, Nikhita Gandhi & R3HAB: great mixture of cultures. I can see this being played at clubs easily. 'Oh La La' by Gabry Ponte, MOTi & Mougleta: very nice club banger. 'oops!!!' by Yung Gravy & Lil' Wayne: a 2000s club banger. Sounds like Fergalicious 2.0 'Beautiful' by Michele Morrone: a raspy voice over a slight trap production ballad. Great combination. 'Amnesia' by Loud Luxury, Ship Wrek & GASHI: Another example on how dance songs can be deep and emotional. A club banger with deep lyrics is always a 'yes' for me. 'Beautiful Mistakes' by Maroon 5 & Megan Thee Stallion: Megan on a slow song is FINE as hell. This better be all over the radio.

Zajok a nappaliból – Traxelektor 2021 02
Tumblr media
A Skinny Puppy nevű egészpályás világszatírában főszereplő első Kevin, Kevin Crompton alias cEvin Key várva várt szólóalbuma február 19-én bújt elő a kulisszák mögül. Azért ezt a magányt ellensúlyozandó, hívott maga mellé vendégjátékosokat: Edvard KaSpel (The Legendary Pink Dots), IAMX (Chris Corner, Snekaer Pimps) Traz Damji (The Humble Brothers), a torokénekes Soriah és Otto Von Schirach (harmadik szemfeszegető a Bermuda-háromszögből) személyében.

A lemezt végig belengi valamiféle archaikus fantasy töltet (miközben továbbra is ül a sci-fi párhuzam is). Amúgy az egyik csókát Calum Macleod-nak hívják (társa Liam Robertson), hú ez messze vezet, mélygarázs, filmzene, kardrabeáta, nemröhög, fejrevigyáz!

Keresztény Madár barátunk önnön újjászületéséről szóló hangosfilmje tölgyválasszal kezdődik (When You Can't Go Clubbing Anymore And Have To Dance With Oaks). A hosszas izoláció következtében történt mentális borulás eredményeképp berlini lakásában fákkal táncoló Cristian elméje avatari zuhanásba kezd, a formák szétesnek hullámokra, a gondolatok ízekké és illatokká párolognak, vizet szürcsöl és oxigént lélegez kifelé, a szoba szertefoszlik, lelke magasba száll, elméje kitisztul és egy nagyon snájdig cserép kaktuszként materializálódik a Heizkraftwerk Berlin-Mitte hőerőmű egyik irodájának ablakában, ami pont a bezárt Tresorra néz. Konstatálva a bárminemű küzdelem hiábavalóságát és a bármennyi erőbevitellel elért ugyanaz csak formájában más eredmény megvalósulását, felenged benne a szabadság iránti vágy és a saját ágyában ébred. A német technoszcéna egyik legkevésbé értett zsenije Cristian Vogel 1993 óta üti a vasat, és bár kezdetben elég sarkos, karcos hangzás jellemezte, azon művek mélyén is ott figyelt az agyas matek, a kis fekete keretes szemüveges könyvelőnek álcázott ritmusmanipulátor géniusza. Az évek folyamán elképesztő sok formában bolyongta körbe saját univerzumát, a Rebirth of Wonky a 25. sorlemeze, nem beszélve a sok kollaborációról (Supercollider!), pszeudóról. Azért ez a lemez most, mintha valami csúcsa lenne a vogeli időpiramisnak, mintha több kísérleti irány, amik eljutottak valameddig, talán ideiglenesen el is haltak, most összeértek volna ebben a multidimenzionális absztraktban. Itt végletek állnak egymás kezét fogva, táncolhatatlan dancetémák, eggyé huzagolt töredékek csusszannak nedves csigacsendben a sötét végtelenekbe, amiket a ritmika köré rendezett vogeli dubok nyitnak meg számukra.
Tumblr media
Brian Dougans és Garry Cobain duója, az örökéletűnek tűnő The Future Sound of London nevű intézmény a leíró ambient szentségének földi helytartója.

Rolandokkal táncoló Andrásunk hosszú utat járt be.

Hát igen srácok, a biznisz ugye

An Ode to the Summer of 2020
Back in the days when I was in Cégep and university, when LJ was the place to post musings and fics, I would do a recap of all the things I had done over the summer. It was the first time I had such long summers (from May to the end of August and then from April to the start of September.)
It made me look back to all the things I had done. It’s easy to forget what you’ve done and easy to feel as though you’ve wasted your time doing nothing.
This year, with the pandemic and everything else, it turned out to be an even longer summer. For starters, I was only working one day a week as a teacher. So despite having to do Zooms and video capsules, I still had a lot of free time. I was fortunate and privileged that I didn’t need to worry about income, since I live at home and was already on employment insurance. I have no debts and no children to worry about. I know that this wasn’t the case for many, many people.
It was also a very different summer since for the first time ever – ever, ever, I was actually free in the actual summer. I wasn’t working, since I returned to teaching, and was no longer working in the camps.
It was – for as much as it was stressful and worriesome – a pretty decent “stay at home period”. The greatest thing, by far, was able to run on my own schedule. Follow my own rhythm. Go to bed when my body told me to and let myself sleep until I naturally woke up. That is, by far, the greatest thing I will miss.
So, before I go back to getting up at the ass crack of dawn and the world of the packed lunch (I fucking hate packed lunches. I hate lunch as a meal. It is the dumbest meal of the day. I wish I could plough through without needing lunch,) I present the recap of all the things I’ve done over the summer.
I like lists. I like keeping lists. I like looking back at lists. It makes me feel as though I did something. I also realise that for many, these uncertain times weren’t great creatively, but in my case, it was the first time I had so much time to be creative. And I did a lot. Which, I’m quite amazed at.
I’m only sharing this list as a personal log of sorts, not to flaunt what I did to make anyone feel bad. I used to do it on my LJ and I am one of those people who look back on old entries and such.  So, by all means, scroll past this very long list of things and carry on.
On that note, good-bye freedom and spring-summer 2020. You were certainly different, but you gave me time to do so many wonderful things.  I can only hope that the shit fest called “school” turns out better than the fears that have been keeping me up at night.

5 Worst and Unfair Cricket Bats
It was possibly the most ugly piece of equipment ever made in cricket, and it is thankfully to be gone from the game, but what exactly is a mongoose's bat, and which other bats caused controversy through the decades?
Tumblr media
5 Unfair and Worst Cricket Bats
1. The Mongoose Bat
It is believed that the Mongoose bat was initially utilized by Matthew Hayden in the 2010 edition of the Indian Premier League and it was specifically made to be used in T20 cricket. Other players like Suresh Raina, also began using a Mongoose-designed bat.
It had a larger handle, but a smaller hitting surface. It was more like a paddle than a standard cricket bat.
What is the reason why this Mongoose Bat banned?
People who are against the Mongoose bat claim that it provides the advantage of aggressive batsman. Its design actually boosts the sweetness of around 120% and also the speed of the bat. This isn't in the spirit of cricket.
Are Mongoose Bats banned?
Although it is true that the ICC as well as the BCCI have looked over complaints relating to Mongoose Bat, it isn't currently banned at the moment of writing in 2021.
However, its use has been largely wiped out. While it's a good tool for in attacking but it is not a great defensive weapon. Mongoose bat isn't particularly efficient for powerful players. It also has a weak shot when it's defensive shots because of its tiny size of hitting area.
2. Carbon Graphite Bats
As opposed to Andre Russell who we will be discussing in the next article, Ricky Ponting hadn't consulted Cricket Australia before using his Carbon Graphite bat during the season 2004/05. He hit a double century during a match with Pakistan on Sydney Cricket Ground. Sydney Cricket Ground but something wasn't right.
It was constructed of willow, a common species. The only thing that distinguished it was a small chunk of graphite carbon bonded to the back of the bat.
Why is it unfair?
Some players also used the bat , which was made through Kookaburra, an Australian maker Kookaburra. They claimed that the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) declared that the bat was unjust because carbon graphite gave more power to the bat , in a manner that was not natural.
Can Carbon Graphite Bats be banned? banned?
The International Cricket Council (ICC) scrutinized the carbon-graphite bat in a great depth and the complaints made about it were accepted. The carbon graphite strip violated the rules of cricket which refer to bat enhancements and the device is banned .
3. andre russel's Black Bat
The black bat Andre Russell trialled during the 2016/17 season of the Big Bash was a conventional one in terms of weight and size. It was distinctive due to the fact that the face was black and the appearance is enhanced with a vibrant pink handle.
What is the reason it's unfair?
The issue with the bat that was black is that it changed the color that the ball was playing. Even if it didn't affect the performance of the white ball, the black scratches on its surface could have made it difficult for fielders to detect the ball under light.
Thus, the black bat is unjust because it places the fielding team in an advantage.
Are Bats painted in black banned?
Black bats, such as that one that are used for Andre Russell are now banned. In the beginning, Cricket Australia had authorised their use, however the issue with the color of the ball led them to institute the ban.
4. Dennis Lillee's Com Bat Aluminium Cricket Bat
The sound of the willow's leather is a mystical element of cricket. Therefore, the powerful clunk that came from Dennis Lillee's bat made of aluminum was a cause for concern for all who heard it. He is known for his terrifying fast cricket, Lillee was previously using this bat during a game in West Indies. West Indies but it first caused concern in 1980/79 Ashes series.
The aluminum used to make it creates a distinct difference from a standard bat. It's basically a metal bat which is in violation of the laws as well as all other cricket-related laws.
Why is it unfair?
England captain Mike Brearley correctly complained that the bat made of aluminum could harm the ball. A ball that's not in good shape provides an unfair advantage to the batsman. That's reason why an aluminum bat should not have been used.
Are aluminum bats banned?
Although no rules were created to deal with the bat being used however, the rules of cricket state that only wood is utilized in the process of manufacturing. Aluminum bats are consequently, in violation of that law.

5. The Monster Cricket Bat
It is believed that the Monster Cricket Bat relates to an incident that occurred during an encounter of Chertsey as well as Hambledon during 1771. At the time there was no provision in the law to limit the length of a cricket bat. Moreover, one among the Reigate players made his way towards the wicket using the size of a bat just as large as the stumps.
"Shock" White was the person that was being investigated and, although his name isn't mentioned in the history of the way he performed but there are some obvious problems in his apparatus.
What is the reason it's unfair?
Although it's not impossible for a player with an enormous, wide blade bat to get a dismissal however, bowlers on the team is obviously at a disadvantage. In the past of round and underarm bowling, it's feasible to simply slash out the huge bat and stop every ball.
If the batsman gets their legs off the field, LBW is also out of the equation. It could be difficult to make an offensive shot using such a massive piece of equipment, but the batter might be able to block for the entire day.
Do Wide Blade Bats get banned?
A petition was made by Hambledon players following the match that resulted in changes in the rules of cricket. Since 1771, the maximum size of the cricket bat was established to 4.25 inches.
It's impossible to make use of a monster bat today because the rules of cricket make them unconstitutional.

When I was a child I loved pink. My dad would buy everything pink for me. Pink suitcase, pink clothes, pink bike, pink rollerblades. Pink. Pink. Pink.
Then I learnt that pink is the colour of not being good enough. That girls who like pink don’t have brains and can’t do well in school. That pink wearing girly girls don’t play sports, they don’t know how to bowl a googly, they can’t understand how Great a cricketer wasim akram is, they only watch cricket because Ricky ponting is hot. So I stopped liking pink. And I started loving purple.
Purple was a good compromise. It’s girly so I’m not a boy, but it’s not frilly. You don’t think of barbies and afternoon tea. It’s royal. It’s regal. I bought a purple rug for my room. I decided I was a purple kind of girl.
Over the years my feminism has been evolving with me. It’s a battle to recognise the internalised misogyny within myself, to confront it, to overcome it, and to liberate myself. It has taken decades, and I’m not even halfway there. But I have reclaimed the colour pink. I can wear neon pink and still be smart. I can wear pink and still be a doctor. I can be feminine and accomplished. I can enjoy dainty teacups and dressing up all while also enjoying medicine and being independent. I can drive long distances, swim in the ocean, climb mountains, all while also being able to enjoy dressing up and being beautiful.
As girls we aren’t allowed to have interests. If we like music then that music is rubbish. If we read then those books are rubbish. If we study then those subjects are easy. Whatever young girls do, society ridicules them for it. So I hope that young girls will flip society off and do whatever they enjoy. Read those books they call trash, watch those movies they call chikflicks, do everything and anything you want. You decide what’s good and what’s rubbish, and the only thing that’s truly rubbish, is men telling us what we can and cannot love.
And so I’m reclaiming pink. If pink is the colour of women, then it’s the colour of strength. It’s the sash we tie around our heads when we go roaring into battle. It is the colour of the handkerchiefs we pass quietly to each other when we discuss the injustices of our lives. It is the colour of the tampons we hide in our own homes so as not to upset the men who live with us. It is the colour of the degrees hanging in my office. It is the hugs we give in loud bathrooms inside clubs, it is the subtle ways we warn each other of predators. It is the colour of strength and accomplishment. It is whatever we want it to be. And it is good enough.
